TRAVELLERS heading to a popular European country next month could face flight delays and cancellations.
Pilots and cabin crew are set to walk out over five days in France next month.
A nationwide strike is set to take place between October 17 and October 21.
Action has been called by a number of unions regarding a disagreement over being allowed to receive their retirement pension while still working.
The strike notice applies to pilots and cabin crew working for all air transport and aviation companies, covered by French labour law – which means it might not just be French airlines affected.
Though airlines expected to be affected include French-based carriers such as Air France, Transavia France and Volotea.

There may also be disruptions to easyJet and Ryanair flights.
Currently, it is not clear how many flights will be delayed or cancelled.
Travellers are being urged to check with their airline before travelling if they are due to travel in the five-day period.
Unions have stated that they remain open to discussions, so the situation may possibly change or be called off before October 17.
EasyJet is also planning to strike across six French airports on October 1 and 2.
The strikes were due to take place this week but have been postponed to the beginning of October and will involve pilots walking out at Paris Orly, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Nantes, Lyon, Nice and Bordeaux airports.
