A UK airport will be forced to fully close tomorrow due to strike action, resulting in all flights being suspended.
Norwich Airport will close all day on August 28 due to an air traffic control strike.

As a result, all flights have been cancelled.
The airport operates to a number of European destinations including Faro, Malta, Alicante and Amsterdam.
And the strike action is forcing holidaymakers to travel 101 miles to catch their flights.
Local travel agents have said that anyone due to travel from the airport tomorrow will now depart from Southend Airport in Essex.

Passengers have been told to head to Norwich Airport, where they will then be taken on a coach to Southend.
Strike action comes as Prospect union continues an ongoing dispute over pay, terms and conditions.
Strike action started last Monday after the airport failed to make an offer to resolve the dispute, with several cancellations on Friday including Loganair flights to and from Aberdeen.
In a statement on the airport’s website, it says: “Due to the 24-hour strike by Prospect union members in Air Traffic Control, Norwich Airport will be closed to air traffic on Friday 28 August and no flights will operate to or from the airport that day.

“Airlines have been informed.
“Passengers due to travel on Friday should check with their airline for the latest information about their flight and the options available to them.
“We apologise for the disruption and inconvenience this will cause to passengers.
“We remain firmly committed to resolving this dispute through constructive dialogue and will continue to engage with Prospect with the aim of reaching agreement.”
