The trailer for Kylie Minogue’s new Netflix documentary has finally launched, leaving fans emotional over the singer’s journey
Kylie official trailer for inspiring documentary
Fans have reacted with delight to a trailer for the new Netflix series about Kylie Minogue, in which she shares her own home movies and personal photographs for the first time. She is also seen close to tears talking about her cancer battle saying: “I was so scared of what was ahead of me.”
The actress and singer, 57, who allowed the cameras to follow her for a three-part documentary, teases at the start of the trailer: “They’re convincing me to let you in.”
One fan gushed: “She is everything that is right with the world, an inspiration, an icon.” While another agreed: “I’ve been a fan since she was in Neighbours and followed her ever since. This will be an emotional journey for all her true fans, can’t wait!”
The “intimate” films, released on May 20, will show how she has successfully reinvented herself many times, selling 80 million records along the way. There are clips of the Aussie soap star turned pop princess winning a Grammy and being chased down the street by fans shouting, “I love you Kylie.”
Talking about being photographed and filmed, she says: “I love the feeling around the shot. That feeling of freedom. I hate being boxed in.” And of her long and recording career, she declares: “Life makes sense to me on stage.” Hinting that she is a long way from hanging up her microphone, she adds: “I don’t know where we’re going. There’s certainly no end.”
In other clips she is seen laughing in black and white snaps with her former lover Michael Hutchence and also hanging out with Jason Donovan, her co-star in Neighbours.
In one clip from British TV, former daytime favourite Anne Diamond is seen asking her, in a slightly snippy tone: “When you started out, did you mean to be an actor or a singer?”
She admits to feeling “frustrated” by headlines labelling her the “singing budgie” and calling her “awful”, “mechanistic”, “talentless” and “terrible”. One scene shows her with her head in her hands on the edge of the stage as someone enquires” “How are you feeling? But in other moment, looking very happy, she declares: “I can’t actually speak just yet.”
Of her battle with breast cancer 21 years ago in 2005, when she was 36, Kylie admits: “I was so scared of what was ahead of me… f***!” Younger sister Dannii battles tears as she says: “We didn’t know if she was ever going to be well again. But I just wanted to be with my sister. Music kept us going.” One shocked fan reacted: “Almost 40 years in and the first time I’ve heard her swear! She is pure perfection.”
The pals that share their thoughts include Donovan, singer Nick Cave and hit-maker Pete Waterman, who put her on the path to superstardom all those years ago. Cave, her close friend with whom she recorded Where the Wild Roses Grow in 1995, explains: “Kylie is this force. It’s all outward. Giving.”
The films, from BAFTA Award-winner Michael Harte, will attempt to show viewers the woman behind the hits, focusing on “how she has faced public scrutiny, personal loss and illness with grit and grace”.
KYLIE Jenner has once again gotten fans talking with her daring looks as she rocked a curve-hugging “nipple dress” on the 2026 Met Gala red carpet.
The reality star wore the sexy look for a solo night out in New York City despite fans hoping that boyfriend Timothee Chalamet would be her date for the first Monday in May.

Kylie, 28, stunned in a formfitting Schiaparelli strapless nude corset that pushed up her chest with cups that included nipples poking out.
The corset went down to her hips, where a long lace skirt draped down to her feet.
She completed her look with a diamond necklace and smokier glam makeup.
The mom-of-two rocked a side part with old Hollywood curls and a long piece of hair going over her forehead.
Timothee, 30, chose to skip the Met Gala red carpet but was just down the street at Madison Square Garden to support his beloved New York Knicks as the team competes in the NBA playoffs.
While his girlfriend was serving looks for the cameras, the Oscar-nominee was pictured court-side at tonight’s Knicks game against the Philadelphia 76ers for Game 1 of the conference semifinals.
Kylie, 28, has become one of the Met Gala’s most talked-about regulars however, it’s not always for the right reasons.
From her dazzling debut to viral backlash over a baseball cap on the red carpet, the beauty mogul has built a reputation for bold glam – and also for occasionally missing the theme entirely.

She made her Met Gala debut in 2016 in a heavily embellished silver gown by Balmain.
The futuristic look, complete with a blunt bob wig, instantly put her on the fashion map.
Fans praised the bold entrance, though some questioned whether the edgy look felt too mature at the time.
In 2017, Kylie stepped out in a sheer, feathered gown by Versace for the avant-garde Comme des Garçons-inspired theme.
Kylie returned in 2018 just months after welcoming her daughter, Stormi, wearing a sleek black gown by Alexander Wang.
The moment grabbed headlines – but not everyone was impressed.
Fans applauded her confidence, while others slammed the outfit as “underwhelming” and off-theme for the religious-inspired night.
Her 2019 look remains one of her most iconic.
Kylie stunned in a lavender feathered gown by Versace, complete with a matching purple wig, fully embracing the “camp” theme.
Fans were overall obsessed, with many still ranking it as her best-ever Met Gala moment.
However, it was her backwards baseball cap that stole the spotlight.
The unexpected accessory sparked backlash online, with critics calling the look confusing and “disrespectful” to the theme – though others defended the sentimental tribute.
Kylie leaned into romance at the 2024 gala with a sculptural, corseted gown featuring floral accents.
The feminine look was well received, though some critics said it lacked the wow factor of her earlier appearances.
In 2025, Kylie returned in a sheer, corseted design that highlighted her signature hourglass shape.
Fans praised the fit – but others complained the style felt repetitive of her past red carpet choices.

Kylie Jenner is being sued by a second housekeeper who alleges she suffered cruel and unusual treatment while working for the beauty mogul.
Just a week after one woman on Jenner’s cleaning staff sued her, claiming her co-workers harassed and discriminated against her, another housekeeper has come out with allegations. The woman says the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star didn’t intervene while she suffered abuse from fellow staff, despite the housekeeper slipping the reality star a letter pleading for help.
Juana Delgado Soto filed a lawsuit against Kylie Jenner, Kylie Jenner Inc., staff supervisor Itzel Sibrian, Tri Star Services and La Maison Family Services on Wednesday alleging racial discrimination, harassment, failure to pay wages, failure to prevent or remedy harassment and discrimination, and more.
A representative for Jenner declined to comment Thursday, noting that the reality star had not yet seen the lawsuit.
According to the lawsuit, obtained by The Times, Soto began working for Jenner in May 2019. She alleges that meal and rest breaks were withheld from her for the first few years of her employment, but that the severity of the abuse and harassment ramped up in late 2023, when Sibrian became her direct supervisor. Soto says that, in 2024, she filed a complaint with Human Resources after Sibrian allegedly mocked and humiliated her for her accent, immigration status and race and called her stupid. Sibrian was temporarily removed because of the complaint and then reinstated, and according to the suit, she set out to retaliate against Soto for filing a complaint by reducing her hourly wage, assigning unreasonable workloads and changing her schedule.
In her lawsuit, Soto says that, as she prepared to leave work on her birthday, Sibrian threatened that she would be fired if she didn’t stay late and told her “no one cares about your birthday, Kylie is having a dinner.” Soto says she missed her own surprise party.
In late 2024, housekeeping supervisors Patsy and Elsy, who are referred to in the first lawsuit against Jenner as well, by their first names only, stepped into their leadership roles. Soto alleges that under Patsy and Elsy, she was denied adequate time off to grieve after the sudden death of her brother, and was told to “report to work immediately.” While she was working, she alleges, staff members “whispered that [Soto] was lying about her brother’s death and kept forcing her to pick up trash they purposely threw on the ground.” She further claims she was harassed when she requested time off to attend her brother’s funeral Mass.
In April 2025, the suit alleges that, after repeated failures by management to address Soto’s concerns, she wrote a long letter to Jenner detailing the harassment, discrimination and retaliation and placed it on Jenner’s massage bed immediately before her massage.
According to the suit, Soto wrote, “I need to express just how terribly I am mentally abused” and “I really apologize for letting you know about all these situations, I know you wouldn’t allow this to happen, if you were aware of it.”
Soto alleges that the following day she was threatened with termination and instructed never to contact Jenner again. “Defendants told her she was no longer allowed to look at Kylie, smile at Kylie and if she saw Kylie she would have to ‘disappear.’”
Soto further alleges that, after she left the letter for Jenner, her supervisors required her to leave the premises when Jenner was present, restricted her restroom access, forced her to clean the doghouse and prohibited her from drinking water at the residence, calling it “Kylie’s water.”
In August 2025, Soto sent a text message to her supervisors, writing, “I am sorry, I cannot do this anymore, every day you guys mistreat me, and I have bitten all my nails off, I cannot sleep at nights, and I always have anxiety because of the way you guys treat me. No matter what I did no one helped me.”
Soto is seeking an unspecified amount of punitive and compensatory damages.
“My client alleges multiple employment & labor law violations by Kylie Jenner and her affiliated companies, and I commend her for the courage to come forward and seek accountability, recognizing that taking the first step is often the most difficult,” Soto’s attorney Della Shaker told The Times. Shaker also represents Angelica Hernandez Vasquez, who filed a suit against Jenner on April 17.
Vasquez’s lawsuit says she was subjected to “severe and pervasive harassment” while employed by the makeup magnate from September 2024 to August 2025.
Vasquez, who states that she is a Salvadoran woman and practicing Catholic, alleges she was humiliated by fellow staff members and belittled because of her race, country of origin, religion and immigration status. Jenner was not personally accused of bullying behavior in the filing brought by Vasquez.

Taking to Instagram, Kylie posed up a storm in a seriously skimpy outfit, writing a caption which read: “me + my lip liner + and my kitty.”
She shared four photos to the platform, with each of the snaps being selfies of the star as she rocked a gray bathing suit.
The swimsuit was strapless and had cutout details, displaying her toned physique.
The first image saw Kylie pulling her cut-out bikini down a little while applying lip gloss in a huge mirror.
Her cleavage was on full display as she pouted up a storm and applied the lip product with her long raven locks framing her face.
The second snap saw her standing up straight while holding her adorable fluffy friend.
Posing with her kitty, Kylie pouted while lifting the kitten up to her cheek.

The third photo was of Kylie posing with her hair all over her face, and the fourth was a video of her cradling the kitty and kissing it.
“Absolutely beautiful,” swooned one fan in the comments section.
“You’re perfect” swooned another.
“That cat makes me smile,” said someone else.
Meanwhile, on Reddit, one penned: “Her body is amazing. Go Kylie go. Love what she’s wearing. The kitten is adorable.”
“Why is she pulling on her bottoms in 1?” asked someone else.
A third Reddit fan then speculated: “Hmmm she’s looking extra toned lately in the abdominal area.I think she got sum fat removed or something?”
While a fourth said: “I honestly wonder how often these girls go under the knife? They always look different.”
This comes after The U.S. Sun revealedKylie‘s former housekeeper, claimed she was forced to clean Timothee Chalamet’s mansion without being properly paid in an explosive new lawsuit.
Angelica Vasquez also said she was belittled over her race, religion and immigration status by fellow domestic staffers.

Kylie Jenner is being sued by a former housekeeper who claims she was harassed and discriminated against while working for the makeup mogul.
Angelica Hernandez Vasquez filed a lawsuit against Kylie Jenner Inc., Tri Star Services and La Maison Family Services on Friday alleging that she was subjected to “severe and pervasive harassment” throughout her employment.
According to court documents obtained by The Times, Vasquez worked for the reality TV star from September 2024 to August 2025, and from her first day on staff at Jenner’s Hidden Hills residence, she was treated with “hostility and exclusion” by the head housekeeper, identified only as Patsy, and another supervisor, identified as Elsi.
Vasquez, who states that she is a Salvadoran woman and practicing Catholic, claims she was routinely assigned the more unsavory tasks involved in housekeeping and excluded from the housekeeping team. According to the suit, she was humiliated by fellow staff members and belittled due to her race, country of origin, religion and immigration status.
The former housekeeper for Jenner further claims that she was mocked for her accent and degraded. She claims that supervisors snapped their fingers while shouting at her, demanded to inspect her phone, made statements including “Catholics are horrible people,” and forced her to perform other staff members’ duties.
According to the court documents, Vasquez reported the mistreatment after Thanksgiving 2024, and in response, the harassment escalated. She also alleges that her scheduled hours were reduced. When Vasquez complained again in March 2025, she claims that a supervisor threw hangers at her feet and threatened her.
Although the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star was not personally accused of bullying behavior in the filing, Vasquez alleges that the defendants failed to pay her in full, paid her late, failed to pay overtime wages, and failed to reimburse business expenses, among other claims.
Vazquez is seeking damages “in the form of unpaid wages, meal and rest period premium pay, unreimbursed business expenses, unpaid sick leave, and all other compensation unlawfully withheld.”
Representatives for Jenner have not yet responded to The Times’ request for comment.

And his comments came back to haunt him as Academy Awards host Conan O’Brien said: “Security is very tight tonight. There’s concerns about attacks from the ballet and opera communities.”
He waded in again later, saying to Timothée: “We’re vibing, right?”
He then told viewers: “He doesn’t think so.”
Alexandre Singh, who won Best Live Action Short Film for Two People Exchanging Saliva, also took a pop during his speech and said: “We believe art can change people’s souls.
“Maybe it takes ten years, but we can change society through art, through creativity, through theatre and ballet — and cinema.”

“Maybe it takes ten years, but we can change society through art, through creativity, through theatre and ballet — and cinema.”
Timothée, 30, also had to sit through a musical number from movie Sinners, with ballerina Misty Copeland — who had also criticised the star for his cultural views — dancing during the song.
The backlash was sparked by his comment: “I don’t want to be working in ballet, or opera, or things where it’s like, ‘Hey, keep this thing alive, even though no one cares about this any more.”
He quickly added, “All respect to the ballet and opera people out there”, but the damage was done.
His remarks were widely rebuked, with Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli mocking the star by publicly inviting him to one of his opera performances.
What did Timothee Chalamet say about ballet and opera? Oscars controversy explained
Timothée Chalamet has sparked a heated cultural debate following comments made at a CNN and Variety Town Hall on February 21, 2026.
Speaking alongside Matthew McConaughey about needing “draws” to pull in an audience to his movies, Chalamet made harsh comments about industries he claimed feel forced to stay afloat.
“I don’t want to be working in ballet or opera… where it’s like, ‘Hey, keep this thing alive, even though no one cares about this anymore,’” he said.
The remarks mirror sentiments Chalamet expressed as early as 2019 during a promotional event for The King, where he labeled the disciplines “dying art forms.”
The Royal Ballet and Opera issued a formal rebuttal, emphasizing that these art forms do not exist in isolation but rather “inform, inspire, and elevate” the broader cultural landscape, including the film industry itself.
They said: “Timothee and Kylie were replaced by seat fillers for an hour.
“It seems like he had enough of being the butt of the jokes.
“They only came back just before the Best Actress and Best Actor categories were announced.”
Timothée was seen leaving the Vanity Fair after-party in the early hours of yesterday morning with Kylie, who is part of the Kardashian reality TV family.
Kylie’s ex-partner, rapper Travis Scott, the father of her two children Stormi, eight, and Aire, four, also later appeared to mock Timothee’s defeat by sharing a photograph of Michael wiping away tears as he accepted his award.

Timothée attempted to shrug off the loss at the Vanity Fair do, where he was also joined by Kylie’s sister, Kendall, and half-sister, Kim Kardashian.
An onlooker at the party said: “Timothée was swarmed by well-wishers as he arrived.
“He kept his sunglasses on for most of the night and tried to be low-key, but he stood out like a sore thumb in his white suit.
“Kylie and him stayed for a while but then left together without being seen.
“It was the Irish exit he wanted — and needed.”

Timothee Chalamet giggled as Oscars host Conan O’Brien roasted him, leaving Kylie Jenner slightly uncomfortableCredit: ABCConan held nothing back as he hosted the 2026 Oscars, joking about Timothee’s recent controversies
Conan, 62, kicked off the Oscars with a dig at Timothee, 30, as he smiled and laughed next to girlfriend Kylie Jenner, who arrived at the show dressed to the nines in a slinky red gown.
He joked about heightened security amid ongoing uncertainty in the world, pointing to an unexpected source of tension.
The former late night TV host quipped: “Security is extremely tight tonight…I’m told theres concerns about attacks from both the opera and ballet communities.”
He looked down at Timothee, who was giggling slightly.
Kylie, 28, shifted slightly in her seat, smiling although she looked slightly uncomfortable.
Conan then added: “They are just mad you left out jazz!”
Later in the show, the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend host circled back with Timothee, seemingly trying to smooth things over.
“I’m vibing with Timothee right now, we’re vibing, right?!” he asked, looking down at the Willy Wonka actor.

The camera did not pan to the star, but it doesn’t seem like he was feeling the same vibe.
Conan added: “He doesn’t think so, alright!”
At this point, Timothee must be somewhat used to the blowback.
He’s been taking heat for his comment for days now.
The Oscar-nominee was chatting with Matthew McConaughey at the University of Texas about efforts to preserve cinema back in February.
“I don’t want to be working in ballet, or opera, or things where it’s like, ‘Hey, keep this thing alive, even though like no one cares about this anymore’,” he said.
“All respect to all the ballet and opera people out there,” he added.
Since then, he’s taken heat from ballet and opera stars, as well as other big figures in Hollywood.
Steven Spielberg, for example, disagreed vehemently.
According to Page Six, he said of the arts during a 2026 SXSW panel: “At the end of a really good movie experience, we are all united with a whole bunch of feelings that we walks into the daylight with, or into the nighttime with.

Kylie has been by Timothee’s side – amid fierce backlash over his claims that no one cares about the ballet or opera – throughout the 2026 awards season, as he was a heavy favorite following his Golden Globes win against standouts Michael B. Jordan, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Ethan Hawke.
He even gave a shoutout to the Kylie Cosmetics founder in his acceptance speech for Best Actor at the January 11 ceremony, saying, “For my parents, for my partner, I love you. Thank you so much.”
Days earlier, Timothee, 30, again called out The Kardashians star, who shares daughter Stormi, 8, and son Aire, 4, with her ex, Travis Scott, while accepting the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actor at the January 4 show.
“Lastly, I would like to say thank you to my partner of three years,” the Call Me by Your Name star said onstage.
“Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” he concluded.
Kylie looked visibly touched by the sentiment, smiling and mouthing “I love you” back to him.

In December, Kylie showed support for Timothee on the red carpet of the film’s LA premiere, where they sported matching orange ensembles.
The mom of two rocked a dangerously low-cut, skintight dress with cut-outs along the midsection.
She paired the look with high heels, a chunky gold necklace, orange nails, and her long black hair flowing straight down.
Timothee wore pants, a button-down shirt, a jacket, and boots, accessorized with a black cross-body bag shaped like a ping pong paddle, as a nod to the film.
It was their first major public appearance together since rumors began that their relationship was on the rocks.
In October, fans believed there was trouble in paradise after they appeared to show a lack of affection toward one another while watching a New York Yankees game, with many accusing Kylie of “looking bored.”
Weeks earlier, Timothee was a no-show at Kylie’s mom, Kris Jenner’s, elaborate 70th birthday bash, fueling chatter that they were ready to call it quits.
In November, a source exclusively revealed to The U.S. Sun that the couple were at odds over Timothee’s desire to keep their romance private, while Kylie wanted to share their love with the world.
The insider also claimed that Kylie had been “pressuring” Timothee about “cementing their relationship,” but the Wonka star wanted to focus on “fixing their issues.”
Kylie and Timothee first began dating in April 2023, although they didn’t make their public debut until they were spotted at a Beyoncé concert later that September.
They managed to keep their romance out of the public eye until they made their red carpet debut as a couple in May 2025 at the 70th David Di Donatello Awards in Rome.
Kylie had parted ways with her baby daddy, Travis, shortly before getting together with Timothee, and had previously been in a years-long relationship with rapper Tyga.
Timothee dated Johnny Depp’s daughter, Lily-Rose Depp, whom he met on the set of the Netflix film The King, from 2018 to 2020.
