The airline first stopped the route back in February shortly after the Iran War began.

British Airways flights to Dubai were initially scheduled to resume on October 25, but were delayed until yesterday when the first flight took off.

The daily flights between London Heathrow and Dubai take just 7hr45, departing at 8pm and landing in the UAE city at 7.45am the following day.

During summer next year, the flights will increase to twice daily.

Dubai has always been popular with Brits thanks to its winter heat – in November it has daily average highs of 31C.

The city made up of luxury skyscraper hotels also has waterparks, theme parks and plenty of golden beaches to relax on.

For cheaper hotels, there are even some Premier Inns that have rooftop pools.

Another flight route British Airways has restarted is its route to Amman, which relaunched yesterday as well.

However, the airline previously confirmed it will not be resuming flights to Abu Dhabi until the end of next year.

The airline cited the Middle East conflict and ‘airspace instability’ as the reason for its continued delay.

Currently, those wanting to travel to Abu Dhabi with BA will have to book a flight from Heathrow to Doha, then switch to another airline like Qatar Airways to continue their journey.

The indirect route takes around 11 hours rather than seven.
