NOEL Gallagher has revealed he had a cardboard cut-out of a Hollywood A-Lister pride of place in his living room.

The Oasis hitmaker admitted he had “never met anyone like” the fan-favourite screen star – so chose to display the life-sized image in his front window.

Noel, 59, made his confession. during an appearance on Amelia Dimoldenberg‘s Chicken Shop Date podcast – where he also spilled the beans on mending his feud with brother Liam.

As talk turned to the huge success of their Oasis reunion last year – where it’s believed they made a whopping £50million from the Live ’25 tour – Amelia referenced the fact former Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola‘s cut-out appeared at each show.

She asked him: “Do you have any other cardboard cut outs of people or is it just Pep?”

Noel, who keeps the Pep cut-out in his recording studio when its not out on tour, replied: “I had one of Matthew McConaughey in my front window for a while actually”.

Amelia replied: “Oh really?” to which he added: “I met him at a friends wedding.

“I had never met anyone like him so I bought a life sized cardboard cut out and put him in my front window for a month”.

Amelia, who is hosting her final series of the podcast, then joked: “You’re going to be doing that with me”.

He then quipped: “I’ve never seen one of you on Amazon, do they have them?” to which she mocked annoyance and said: “Yeah they’ve got them”.

Noel previously shed more light on the Beverly Hills wedding where he first met Interstellar actor Matthew.

It came when Oasis were on tour in South America with U2 and, talking of approaching the actor, Noel said to NME: “I said to him, ‘you don’t know me but I love you’.

“And he went ‘first of all, I wanna thank you for coming across here and spreading the good word.

Secondly, let’s get this couple married and we’re gonna stretch the ‘something’ out of this party.’

“And I was like, ‘you know what, mate me and you are gonna be friends forever now.’”

In her caption for their date, Amelia wrote: “Hello everyone ! I am so excited to share with you my date with THE legend himself Noel Gallagher. I think our energies match perfectly.

“He’s funny, humble and smells amazing (eau de poulet) See you in 16 years??! But before that 3 more dates left in the final series!”

One fan posted: “Ngl they got on so well that it just seemed like a regular conversation”.

A second added: “I’m going to need another 8 hours of footage of these two talking”.

Oasis recently announced a 38-date live tour next year, kicking off at Celtic Park in Glasgow on 21 May.

Meanwhile, last month Amelia told how her viral show would end after 12 years and the current season.

Assemblyman Burt Margolin (D-Los Angeles) was so concerned about reelection in his heavily Democratic 45th District that he scheduled his wedding and honeymoon in Hawaii in the midst of the campaign.

Margolin was married Sept. 27 to Dr. Laurie M. Post, a Beverly Hills clinical psychologist and daughter of motion picture director Ted Post. The couple is honeymooning in Hawaii, according to Margolin.

The 35-year-old assemblyman, elected in 1982 and reelected in 1984 with more than 60% of the vote both times, said that his marriage and honeymoon a month before the election does not mean that he is overconfident.

‘Do What Is Necessary’

“The key point is that I am not taking anything for granted,” he said in an interview. “I will be back in time to do what is necessary to win reelection. If my opponents mount a campaign, I will be in a position to respond.”

Less than a month before the Nov. 4 election, Margolin could probably just as well spend the rest of the month in the islands.

Jana Olson, the Republican candidate for Margolin’s job, is not optimistic about her chances of defeating him. “The race probably is not winnable, based on the way the district is laid out,” said Olson, a 28-year-old Toluca Lake businesswoman, adding that she expects to raise only $5,000 for the campaign.

By contrast, Margolin has amassed $55,000, none of which is as yet earmarked specifically for his reelection.

Olson’s pessimism is based on, among other factors, the registration figures. Of the 151,846 voters registered as of Sept. 23, 88,630 (58.4%) are Democrats, compared to 45,509 (30%) Republicans.

Long a Democratic stronghold, the 45th Assembly District extends from Hancock Park on the south to Burbank on the north, and includes the Fairfax and Pico-Robertson areas and portions of West Hollywood, Hollywood, the Hollywood Hills, Los Feliz, Universal City, Studio City, Toluca Lake and North Hollywood.

The district has served as the launching pad for and seemingly private reserve of the so-called Berman-Waxman organization, a Democratic political alliance named after U.S. Reps. Howard L. Berman (D-Panorama City) and Henry A. Waxman (D-Los Angeles).

In 1968 Waxman was the first member of the organization to win the 45th District seat. He was followed by Herschel Rosenthal, now a state senator, who was succeeded by Margolin.

Margolin was an aide to both Waxman and Berman before winning his first election in 1982. He is a member of the organization and Waxman’s father works as an aide in Margolin’s office, which is just down the hall from Waxman’s district office in the Miracle Mile.

A Progressive Liberal

A self-described progressive Democrat, Margolin said it is not easy for someone of his political background (generally liberal on issues, including opposition to the death penalty) to score victories against the conservative Administration headed by Gov. George Deukmejian.

“Obviously, it is more difficult to get what you want,” he said, “but it is not impossible. I have managed to get results, although they are more modest because of the governor.”

Medi-Cal Improvement

He mentioned a bill, enacted into law, that established perinatal care for low-income women under Medi-Cal. “That is the only significant increase in Medi-Cal to get by the governor,” he said.

He also authored the so-called “bottle bill” that eventually became law and established deposits for beverage bottles and cans to encourage people to return them for recycling rather than discarding them as litter.

Olson said that she “leans to conservatism” and would bring a sense of fairness, sound business practices and help to the “truly needy” if she is elected.

“I oppose rent controls because they create an artificial market whereby rents are forcibly increased,” she said. “I favor free-market principles, whereas my opponent is very liberal on all the issues.”

Like Olson, the other two candidates in the race are not optimistic about their chances. Both Sylvia F. Kushner, the Peace and Freedom Party candidate, and Donald P. Meyer, the Libertarian Party candidate, said in interviews that they do not expect to win.

Kushner, 75, a human rights organizer, said she entered the race to support programs for low-income people and senior citizens and to register her opposition to the country’s foreign policy.

“We need a state jobs program, improved health care programs and state-supported housing for low-income people,” she said. “I have also been in the peace movement for many years.”

Meyer, 36, a courier with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota, said he would like to see government reduced to the smallest possible size.

“I am opposed to most taxes,” he said. “Government should exist to prevent people from taking your money, rather than assuming the role of taxer.”

VIC Reeves has stepped out with wife Nancy Sorrell following a health scare that reportedly saw him rushed to hospital after collapsing at a friend’s wedding.

Maguire and Meyer’s meaningful reunion came more than a week after they finally settled their divorce. The former spouses, who share two teenage children, officially terminated their marriage on Oct. 1, according to court documents filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court. The exes married in 2007 and announced their separation in 2016.

Meyer and Ogunlesi reportedly began their romance in the summer of 2023 and made their relationship red-carpet official at the Baby2Baby Gala later that fall. They got engaged in August 2024 and in December 2025, Meyer announced she was expecting her third child. The pair welcomed their first child together, a baby girl in June.

The designer has since shared scenes from her latest chapter of motherhood on Instagram, posting photos of herself cradling her daughter, taking the baby out on the town and spending time with her loved ones, including her daughter with Maguire and her now-husband.

NEW YORK — The Russian oligarch who helped bankroll Donald Trump Jr.’s wedding celebration says the president’s eldest son has paid back the money.

“Yes, he did,” Umar Kremlev told an International Boxing Association press conference in Istanbul on Tuesday. “He did repay the money I spent on the present.” Still, he said he felt the repayment was unnecessary.

“Frankly speaking, I do not understand why he decided to do so,” he went on. “There are all kinds of events organized by all kinds of people. It is as if I invite you to come and visit my country house. Would you expect me to issue an invoice to them afterward?” Speaking through an interpreter, he said that would be “ridiculous.”

ProPublica, a nonprofit investigative website, reported last month that Kremlev, who has close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, “footed the bill for hundreds of thousands of dollars of wedding expenses” when Trump Jr. married socialite Bettina Anderson in the Bahamas in May. That included paying to rent one of two private islands where the three-day party was held.

In a subsequent post on her Instagram page signed by the couple, Bettina Trump wrote that they had been married “surrounded ONLY by our family,” but that Kremlev, head of the boxing association, was a “dear friend” who “very generously hosted two incredible nights of celebrations for us AFTER our wedding.”

President Trump, who did not attend the nuptials, previously defended the arrangement but told reporters that the money would be paid back.

“It’s totally allowed,” he said. “But, as I understand it, he paid them back.”

“That’s very common,” he added, “I’ve given wedding parties to numerous people.”

Kremlev, who was recently honored with the Order of Friendship by Putin, also played down the significance, saying the celebration was “a shared event” and “people blew it out of proportion.”

“I mean, why can’t we be friends? We are just friends,” he went on. “We are simply friends and what unites us is love for sports.”

The focus on Kremlev comes as Russia remains at war with Ukraine following its invasion in 2022 and as Trump has failed to broker a promised peace deal between the nations.

Trump Jr. has previously been scrutinized over his ties to Russia. During the 2016 campaign, his meeting with a Russian attorney in Trump Tower to discuss potentially incriminating information about his father’s then-Democratic opponent was a critical element of investigations into whether the Trump campaign coordinated with Russia to meddle in the election to help Trump win.

Maria, a mum of two, dated music mogul Simon Cowell back in the 1980s.

Jim has been married five times and it was set to be six before he called off his wedding to ex Natasha.

The pair were set to wed at Hampton Court Palace – the home of  home of Henry VIII – and lost their £10k deposit when they jilted.

Speaking to The Sun in September, Jim revealed: “There’s no bad blood. Natasha is the most caring and dutiful person. 

“It’s not like we’re splitting up because we don’t love each other anymore.

“It’s a sort of a grown-up separation. The timing’s not right because she has so much time for everybody and how can you knock that?”

He added at the time: “We still speak every other day, but whether we’ll ever find room to see one another again, I don’t know.

“She is very dutiful. She puts family first. And of course she has three children and now a grandson as well. 

“She is just so busy and so I’m very busy as well.”

Dad-of-five Jim met Natasha, who is 23 years his junior, at the Southampton Boat Show in 2023 soon after the breakdown of his fifth marriage.

It was shortly after his split from fifth wife Michelle Cotton, whom he was with for 14 years.

Jim first married his childhood sweetheart Sue Walpole back in 1971, but the union lasted just a year.

He then went on to wed Julie Gullick in 2981, before they divorced in 1986.

TV presenter Alison Holloway was next, but she only stayed married to Jim for two years.

His fourth wife was Page 3 model Tracy Hilton, and they were together for ten years.

Jim’s most recent marriage – before getting engaged to Natasha – was Michelle, whom he married in 2009 and split from in 2023.
