The Faithfuls have finally banished a Traitor, as Jonathan Ross was voted out – but the twists aren’t over as the Celebrity Traitors finale draws near
Celebrity Traitors reveal mega double plot twist in semi-final
The Celebrity Traitors has been packed with twists and turns so far, and though the show is nearing its end, those plot twists are far from over. A dramatic double twist has already been revealed for the penultimate episode.
The hit BBC series is set to conclude on 6 November. Ahead of that episode, Claudia Winkleman revealed two twists that would shake things up for the celebs. It comes just after the Faithfuls finally managed to nab a Traitor and sent Jonathan Ross home.
As the Faithfuls celebrated their victory, Claudia rained on their parade by revealing that, at the next roundtable, banished players would not tell the remaining group if they were Faithful or a Traitor. “After tomorrow, the banished players will not reveal their true identity,” Claudia warned.
This is not the only twist. Claudia also revealed to the remaining Traitors, Alan Carr and Cat Burns, that they had to murder in plain sight that evening. In letters read by each deceitful player, Claudia said: “Traitors, tonight there will be no secret meeting in the turret. Instead you must murder in plain sight at tonight’s dinner.
“To do this one Traitor must toast the player you want to murder while saying the words ‘Parting is such sweet sorrow’ followed by their name. You must do this before the night is over.”
Alan has already killed in plain sight, having murdered his friend Paloma Faith by touching her face after touching a ‘poisoned’ plant. In a quiet discussion, Cat and Alan agreed that he would be the one to kill again, as Cat wasn’t very convincing when she tried to say it.
Cat suggested that Alan pretend to quote recently banished Stephen Fry whilst delivering the phrase, which is from Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet.
In an aside, Alan joked that he always had to do the Traitors “dirty work”. He said: “I have to do all the dirty work for these traitors. I’m surprised they don’t have me up in that turret with a hoover doing some light dusting. Why is it always me?”
The episode also saw Jonathan Ross head home. He was the first Traitor caught on the show and was voted out by six people, including both Cat and Alan. In fact, all bar two people voted for Jonathan, with the outliers being him and David Olusoga. David voted for Nick Mohammed.
Jonathan’s exit speech, dubbed “ridiculous” by Joe Marler, kept the other Faithfuls on their toes. He said: “I’ve got no idea what everyone is doing wrong.
“I cannot believe you’ve done it again. I can’t believe I’m standing here for no good reason so I don’t want to be rude but you’re idiots. But I am not judging because it’s fiendish.
“I’m not blaming the players, I’m blaming the game. I am now and have always been throughout the game completely faithful… to the Traitors!”
Brenda Blethyn stars in the upcoming drama film Dragonfly, which has been described as “shocking” and “violent” by critics
The latest trailer for Brenda Blethyn‘s “shocking” drama Dragonfly has just dropped and it’s already proving a massive hit with audiences after scoring 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The film also features Andrea Riseborough and Jason Watkins, with the storyline centring around Coleen (Riseborough) who becomes horrified by the treatment her elderly neighbour Elsie (Blethyn) is enduring, prompting her to volunteer her assistance without charge.
Nevertheless, the synopsis suggests that Colleen’s motives might not be quite what they seem. As suspicions mount, a devastating incident triggers a brutal chain of events that could irreversibly transform both women’s existence.
The trailer opens with Elsie recognising that looking after someone is “a lot of hard work” after Colleen volunteers her assistance. Colleen insists that it’s what neighbours are “supposed to do”, but the trailer swiftly shifts into darker territory as Elsie looks petrified by a telephone ringing in her house, and Colleen’s true intentions come under scrutiny from Elsie’s son (Watkins).
“I’ve been hurting all my life, Elsie, to be honest,” Colleen confesses, as we witness her menacingly observing Elsie through a glass panel in her front door, reports Chronicle Live.
Following its debut at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year, Dragonfly currently boasts a 93% score on Rotten Tomatoes. In our critique, we called the film “a powerful and compelling drama that explores those that society shuns, building to an ending you won’t forget”.
The Hollywood Reporter penned: “Is this tonal swerve a little gimmicky? Probably, and the film will not be to everyone’s taste. But it is a skillfully rendered exercise in terror.”
ScreenAnarchy remarked: “While cinema in general still tends to romanticise loneliness, Dragonfly shows it for what it is: a routine series of everyday, excruciating experiences that always build up to something that tends to be horrific, more often than not.”
The Guardian lauded it as “a stark, fierce, wonderfully acted film”, while Culture Mix observed: “Dragonfly isn’t just a ‘slow burn’ psychological drama.
“This well-acted movie about two lonely people and home caregiving takes an extreme turn in the last 20 minutes to a shocking ending that’s sure to be divisive.”
Last year, Blethyn spoke candidly about securing the role in the film after wrapping up Vera, reminiscing at the British Film Institute: “I was home, I hadn’t even unpacked my bag, and my agent called me and said, ‘Oh, you’ve been offered a film.’ I said, ‘I don’t want to do a film. I haven’t unpacked yet.'”.
“She said, ‘Oh, it is with Andrea Riseborough.’ I said, ‘Oh, is it?’ And she said, ‘And it starts next week because somebody had dropped out and it’s written and directed by Paul Andrew Williams.'”.
“I said, ‘Oh, well, I better have a little read of it just to… but no, I’m not doing it, but I’ll have a read of it.’ And I liked it, so I did it.”
Dragonfly premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in June 2025. A cinema release date is yet to be announced
Martin Clunes is making an unlikely return to the Doc Martin universe – three years after the ITV drama ended with fans devastated over the news

Martin Clunes is making an unlikely return to the Doc Martin universe. The actor, 63, played Doc Martin in the ITV show from 2004 and 2022, where he starred as the rather awkward GP of a small British village.
The show wrapped in 2022, with fans up and down the country devastated. At the time, ahead of the UK show’s final season, Martin and Philippa Braithwaite released a joint statement, which read: “We have loved making nine series of Doc Martin.
“When we launched the series in 2004 we could never have imagined how much our loyal viewers would take to the grumpy Doc like they have. The series has avid fans both in the UK and throughout the world and we are thrilled that Doc Martin has topped the ratings every time. However, after sixteen years we now feel that the time has come to say goodbye to Portwenn.
“We will be making the tenth and final series in 2021 and we are very much looking forward to returning to Cornwall to film it.”
At the time, Martin insisted there was no bad ratings that caused the end of the series – but they just felt it was time.
He said: “All good things have to come to an end. And I’m sure there are lots of people who aren’t fans of the show who think it’s terribly repetitive anyway, but we’re at huge pains not to repeat ourselves. I just think we’ve sort of done everything. I mean, it would be so great to just sort of carry on, but I don’t think we can keep it as good.”
However, Martin is back in the world of Port Wenn once more – but in a very different capacity. Martin will be returning to the show as the father of Dr Martin Best is the United States reboot of the show, titled Best Medicine.
Josh Charles, 54, will star as Dr Martin, who has left his career as a surgeon in Boston and heads to the East Coast fishing village of Port Wenn, but with a few secrets up his sleeve. Martin’s wife Philippa Braithwaite will also serve as executive producer on the new show.
The synopsis for Best Medicine teases drama ahead, as it reads: “A brilliant surgeon leaves Boston to become a small-town doctor where he spent childhood summers. Despite his medical skills, his rude manner alienates locals as he battles hidden phobias and struggles with personal connections.”
Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies recently announced that she will be stepping away from the BBC show
Dragons’ Den favourite Sara Davies has dropped hints about an “exciting” twist that’s never been witnessed before as she prepares for her departure.
The businesswoman, 40, first entered the Den in 2019 and during her time she has helped a range of entrepreneurs with her expertise.
The TV personality has now revealed she’ll be ‘stepping back’ from the BBC programme to concentrate on her own enterprise.
Before her poignant farewell, Sara graced Tuesday’s (October 14) instalment of BBC The One Show with presenters Alex Jones and Roman Kemp.
Roman was eager to discover more about her final series as he hinted at a ‘remarkable’ scene that’s still to be broadcast, reports the Express.
The television host continued: “There is a very special moment this week as part of Dragons’ Den history. What can you tell us because I know you can’t say much.”
Sara began by revealing: “I don’t want to give too much away but there was a moment that happened in filming last year, which is what you will see this Thursday on Dragons’ Den between Steven (Bartlett) and I.”
The personality hinted: “We do something that has never ever happened in the Den before and as a result of that something pretty exciting happens and let me just tell you it’s a pretty good business. You’ll love it.”
Dragons’ Den viewers will witness the extraordinary moment unfold on Thursday’s (October 16) show and judging by Sara’s teaser, it’ll be utterly unforgettable. This follows Sara’s confirmation in an Instagram statement that she had “taken the decision to step away from the Den for now, to focus on my own business” – a crafting enterprise she established in 2005.
She will continue to feature in the latter half of the current series and judging by her statement’s phrasing, there remains potential for her comeback down the line.
The BBC is yet to reveal her replacement.
In her social media post, Sarah declared: “As this last run of Dragons’ comes to an end I have to say I’ve loved every minute of this series so far and I’m so proud of the businesses I’ve invested in this year!”.
“As a lot of you will know, I’ve taken up my position again as CEO of Crafter’s Companion and my business is my big priority this year. And when I commit to a business, I really commit, which is why I find Dragons’ Den such a rewarding role.
“As well as filming an incredible show, being a Dragon requires so much dedication and time behind the scenes as you join the life of each business you invest in.
“It means seeing through your investment and committing to your part in that organisation. It’s so much more than a TV show. That’s why taken the decision to step away from the Den for now, to focus on my own business, which was my first baby! So I won’t be filming with the team this year for the next series.”
The One Show airs weekdays from 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer and Dragons’ Den is available to watch on BBC iPlayer
Big Brother’s AJ and Will announced the biggest game changing twist yet, as they revealed two new arrivals will be entering the house in a game changing twist
22:23, 10 Oct 2025Updated 22:55, 10 Oct 2025
Tonight, the Big Brother house saw it’s second live eviction as Cameron B was evicted. However, it wasn’t the only huge event tonight, as AJ Odudu and Will Best announced at the start of the live show that Big Brother would see yet another huge twist.
The 25th anniversary show started off with a bang, as the evil eyes continue to cause chaos around the house. The first shock twist came during launch night when Emily was the first housemate to be evicted in a short but sweet stay.
Now, AJ and Will have made the shock announcement that the show will gain two new arrivals next Friday – but they’re not any old arrivals.
In fact, Will and AJ announced that the two new arrivals were people that had left the Big Brother house too soon – but who will they be?
They won’t be alone, as one current housemate will be with them. On Big Brother’s Late and Live tonight, Will and AJ announced housemates would be nominating on Monday. Housemates will believe viewers are voting to evict – but the evicted housemate won’t leave.
Instead they’ll be whisked away to a secret room with the two former housemates. But who will they be?
Tonight, Will gave away a huge clue, revealing that the housemates are one’s that “left too soon.”
While many think Emily from this series are returning, others are convinced Farida Khalifa from ITV’s first series in 2023, will be returning. Farida was the first housemate to be evicted, with many fuming with her early departure.
But could it be her time to return? Fans think so. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one penned: “I’m glad to see i’m not the only one who INSTANTLY thought of farida when they said gone too soon housemates were returning”.
Another agreed: “Omg the fact that godly Farida may be reentering the Big Brother house!!” while a third said: “Farida’s last TikTok was September 24th… get her back in!”
Despite being the third to be evicted, Cameron was the first to leave through the front door. Last week, Gani was forced to have a back door eviction due to Storm Amy, and Emily left through the back door on the first night.
BIG Brother hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best have revealed a HUGE new twist that will see two familiar faces return.
On tonight’s show, Cameron B became the fourth housemate to be booted out of the house following a public eviction.

So far ITV2 viewers have said goodbye to Emily Hewertson, who was in the house for a few hours, and Gani Khan, who became the second housemate to be evicted last Friday.
And earlier this week, ITV bosses made the decision to axe George following “inappropriate behaviour and language”.
But now Big Brother has decided to bring back not one but TWO former housemates to shake things up.
After Cameron’s eviction, Will told viewers: “Now it’s finally time to reveal next week’s game-changing twist.”
AJ said: “Next Friday, two more late arrivals will go into the Big Brother house and they’re not just any late arrivals.”
Will explained: “Two former housemates who may have gone too soon will be going back through those doors.
“So make sure you watch tonight’s Big Brother Late and Live because we’re going to have all the info.”
Kicking things off on the after show, Will said: “What a night we’ve had so far. Three housemates face eviction and two former housemates are going back in next week.”
Big Brother fans raced to Twitter with their predictions.
One wrote: “EMILY AND GANI RETURN?!!!”
Big Brother’s fourth evicted housemate revealed just days after George’s shock exit
A second posted: “My theory on the bigggg twist is 4 out 4 in like in Timebomb series of Big Brother where one of Emily or Gani return.”
The 25-year-old Bolton lad Cameron B entered the House on Day Two, alongside three other newcomers.
Axed star George Gilbert, 23, had also been on the chopping block before his shock exit.
Sources told The Sun that George left his co-stars horrified after making offensive comments which could be interpreted as antisemitic and was immediately called to the Diary Room and ejected from the house.
“Everyone was absolutely disgusted,” an insider said.
“Nobody could believe what he said – he was clearly out to shock people.”
Since leaving the house, George has said: “As a flag bearer of freedom of speech I never hesitate to discuss and question any topic regardless of how contentious it may be.
“Sadly, the boundaries of what is deemed offensive are subjective and I evidently went too far this time by crossing their line one too many times.”
He added: “It is a shame that specific debate could not be had and that it has had to end like this.
Frauds viewers were left divided on Monday night as the second instalment of the ITV drama aired, with some fans convinced they’ve already worked out a major twist.
Viewers on ITV were left torn on Monday night as the second episode of Frauds aired.
Bert, fresh out of prison after a 10-year stint and facing a terminal cancer diagnosis, wants to carry out one last job with her mate.
She also reveals her desire for revenge on her former cellmate by taking on the job that was initially intended for her. Despite initial hesitation from Sam, who has turned her life around during Bert’s incarceration, she is soon persuaded.
This leads the toxic duo to assemble a highly-skilled team of accomplices to execute their mission: stealing a Salvador Dalí painting, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Part of their scheme involves recruiting a master painter and forger named Bilal (Karan Gill) to create a replica of the artwork for them to switch it with.
What Bert and Sam are unaware of, however, is that Bilal is indebted to some very dangerous individuals who are determined to find him, a plot point revealed in the episode.
As the programme progressed, revealing more about their complex relationship, viewers were quick to voice their opinions on the show, with some doubting Bert’s honesty.
One viewer speculated: “My theory is that Bert is gonna set Sam up for this because the real revenge she wants is against Sam because she didn’t serve any time and she didn’t visit her and I want it to be wrong so bad!”
Echoing this, another added: “That’s my thinking too so far. I’m just hoping that, if that is her plan, spending time with Sam again will make her change her mind at the last minute.”
A different fan chimed in: “Sam and Bert are conning each other, right?!”, while another queried: “Is the plot of #Frauds that SJ isn’t really dying and she’s saying she is to lure JW into a big job, and then she’ll let her take the rap as revenge? Or is there going to be something more to it?”
Another viewer questioned: “She hasn’t really got cancer, right?!” This was followed by another comment: “Bet she hasn’t got Cancer. Fraud.”
During the episode, viewers watched Bilal in a state of panic when he received a video call from his mum, who was at home with the men he owes money to, indicating they could easily harm her unless they get what they want.
Bert and Sam’s friendship also hit a rocky patch when Sam found out Bert had secretly been in contact with her daughter, whom she gave up for adoption at birth.
The teaser for episode three suggests more drama is on the horizon, stating: “With Sam reeling and Bert desperately trying to keep control, the heist is thrown off track when trouble from home catches up with Bilal.”
During last night’s launch, Big Brother revealed the ‘cruellest twist yet’ as we learnt one housemate would go during the first episode – as Will Best ‘lets slip’ a huge spoiler
07:58, 29 Sep 2025Updated 08:04, 29 Sep 2025
Last night, Big Brother opened with one of the cruellest twists yet, as it was revealed by AJ Odudu and Will Best that one housemate would be leaving on the first night.
When all 12 housemates had entered the house, it was revealed that viewers had just four minutes to cast their votes for who they wanted to put up for eviction.
It was later revealed that 25-year-old political events organiser Emily, Zumba instructor Sam, 22, and PR worker Caroline, 56 were facing eviction as they were placed into a room away from the rest of the housemates. It also meant that those watching the live stream wouldn’t be able to see who’s left before tonight’s show.
Many assumed that the housemate with the least amount of votes would be evicted, however, on Big Brother Late and Live, it was revealed that they would have to fight amongst themselves on who would go.
The announcement was made on Big Brother’s Late and Live after the launch show, but many viewers thought this twist was ‘let slip’ accidentally by host Will Best.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter when the announcement was made, one penned: “Will seems to have just (accidentally?) confirmed on #BBLL that Emily, Caroline and Sam will have to decide amongst themselves WHO gets evicted tonight! #BBUK“
Another wrote: “WILL JUST LET SLIP ANOTHER TWIST BECAUSE HE IS SOMEHOW THE WORST SECRET KEEPER IN BIG BROTHER PRESENTING HSTORY !! The 3 housemates in danger will “decide amongst themselves” who gets evicted #bbuk#bbll“.
Another said: “Will just revealed on Late & Live that the 3 housemates in the exit room will be deciding amongst themselves who will be leaving the house! #BBLL#BBUK.”
This series marks the 25th anniversary of Big Brother, and they weren’t wrong when they said they wouldn’t be holding back.
Along with the return of Big Brother was the return of the iconic live stream. Viewers were able to sit down and watch the aftermath of the chaotic launch show after Big Brother Late and Live last night, but they were left annoyed with one feature, the bird sounds.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter to express their frustrations, one penned: “Once again the #BBUK ‘live feed’ is endless bird tweets… WTF is the point of offering a live feed when @bbuk is terrified that fans will leak what we’ve seen!!! Nobody fucking cares!! Just put the fucking cameras on!!”
Another said: “Here we go again love the bird noises #BBUK u have many cameras move them around!”
Big Brother continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
THE last time I wore a pencil skirt, my brother affectionately told me I looked like Nessa Jenkins from Gavin & Stacey.
Brotherly love — always there to keep your feet firmly on the ground.

Get the look wrong, though, and you will end up looking like Nessa from Gavin & StaceyCredit: BBC
But, sadly, he was right.
My black, knee-length leather skirt and then short brown hair did make me look like the Welsh slot machine worker, minus the tattoos.
Despite my affection for the show and actress Ruth Jones, who plays Nessa, the comment was enough to put me off that look for life.
Nessa is not exactly known for her chic style.
Now, as trends for autumn/winter start to appear, I’ve spotted that curve-clinging pencil skirts are back — from Gucci and Givenchy to high-street favourites Zara and Mango.
And now I’m wondering, has the time come to give the style another whirl?
There was a 12,000 per cent increase in searches on shopping site LTK for “pencil skirts” following the autumn/winter 2025 fashion weeks earlier this year.
This thirst for a more slimline look tells us one thing, if nothing else — many of us, myself included, want to jump off the conveyor belt of loose midi and maxi styles.
Five years on from lockdowns, we’re ready for a bit of wiggle. We want to get dressed up!.
Now, I’m not for one minute suggesting we revert back to peak Noughties pencil skirt trends, when going “out out” was all about looking like a sexy businesswoman.
tried on my teen era Topshop dress from 9 years ago & the results were insane, people say I look like a 50s movie star
Think peroxide blonde Victoria Beckham in her peak Wag era, complete with skintight skirt and peplum boob tube. Or reality stars like Towie original Amy Childs.
But there was a time before this when the pencil skirt was stylish and classy.
THE last time I wore a pencil skirt, my brother affectionately told me I looked like Nessa Jenkins from Gavin & Stacey.

Starlets like Grace Kelly and Marilyn Monroe were big fans of the style, which became hugely popular in the late Fifties, with tucked in blouses and knits to show off their waist and bust.
As Marilyn tottered along the train platform in Some Like It Hot, the tight-fitting style may well have played a part in her trademark wiggle walk.
In the Eighties, pencil skirts were paired with shoulder-padded blazers. Women were making moves in boardrooms and this was power-dressing at its best. Think Melanie Griffith in Working Girl and Joan Collins in Dynasty.
Over the next few decades, the pencil skirt became a workwear uniform.
But recently, aside from wives of world leaders such as Melania Trump or contestants on The Apprentice, it has disappeared from our office attire.
Especially since Covid, you are more likely to wear flats and comfy trousers than a restrictive, uncomfortable and somewhat dated knee-length skirt.

It seems, though, that we have now come full circle. As well as the designers’ offerings, we’ve seen a pregnant Rihanna wear a pencil skirt to a pre-Met Gala bash.

I am convinced that there’s a way to wear this season’s wiggle skirts without looking like a string of sausages

We’ll also see the pencil return to screens this season as Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts and Niecy Nash-Betts star as outrageously fierce and successful lawyers in Disney’s legal drama All’s Fair later on this year.
But after enjoying years of elastic waistbands and roomy skirts, are the rest of us now ready to squeeze into a tummy-sucking number?
Personally, I’ll never get back into a black pleather version again.
I can’t shake my Nessa past and rarely get dolled up enough to dust off my peplum and six-inch heels.
But looking at the styles around on the high street, I am convinced that there’s a way to wear this season’s wiggle skirts without looking like a string of sausages.
The faux-leather options out there are looser and more flattering, and they come in a range of colours.
There are also cosy knitted versions or softer viscose numbers with bold patterns.
I like the idea of wearing one with an oversized blazer and knee-high boots to the office in the autumn, to sharpen up my workwear.
For drinks, I might even plump for a faux-leather number in sage or burgundy, with heels.
But for the majority of the week, I will be sticking with my favourite flats.
And I’m sorry, but you just can’t do a pencil skirt with ballet pumps or brogues without looking like a wally.

EAGLE-EAYED Coronation Street fans think they’ve worked out another link to the cobbles for DI Costello (played by Daon Broni).
ITV viewers have previously expressed their suspicions about the detective inspector, thinking he is hiding his role in the death of his colleague DS Lisa Swain’s late wife Becky.

After Friday’s episode of the soap, fans now think Costello has a connection to another character as the gripping storyline continues.
Dee Dee Bailey’s new love-interest Ollie appeared to take an interest in Lisa and viewers have flocked to Reddit to share their theories about his connection to Costello.
Somebody wrote: “So I’ve a new theory about Ollie and I’ve a feeling it’ll soon become popular. I think that he’s either related or connected to Costello.
“If you think about it, they came in around the same time and came to the forefront about the same time. Are both around the copshop alot lately. Both are inquisitive to people lately making sus comments.
“Who’s to say that it’s not a big corruption involving Costello, Ollie, the Radcliffes and Becky along with the infamous Tia Wardley.”
Another fan expressed: “Costello has been in it for over a year since the Joel case. But you could be onto something alright.”
Someone else responded: “I think there might be a twist that Ollie might be related to Costello and there’s a twist that he’s Costello’s son.”
In the instalment, DI Costello was seen desperately trying to cover his tracks and hiding what he really knows about the mysterious Tia Wardley.
Coronation Street’s Becky McDonald’s return teased by Leanne Battersby
Tia turned up at the Bistro and told Lisa and Carla all about her connection to Becky.
She claimed to have been involved with the Radcliffe brothers and revealed that Becky had helped her escape her troubled life out of the goodness of her heart.
Lisa seemed genuinely touched that the truth meant that Becky had been a good cop – and had helped the woman escape a bad situation.
But after leaving the Bistro, the woman met up with Costello – and the truth soon emerged. The woman was not the real Tia Wardley.
She told Costello: “I gave them the full Meryl Streep. Really milked it. Looked like the blonde one was going to cry.”
And when the potentially dodgy cop questioned whether she actually managed to trick Lisa, the faker added: “They didn’t have a clue what the real Tia Wardley looked like, so yes…”
In addition to the on-screen confession, the credits also named her as “Fake Tia Wardley” confirming that she is definitely not the real woman Lisa and Carla were looking for.
But as Lisa and Carla made their way home from the celebrations, Lisa suddenly felt a chill.
It was then revealed that someone had been watching the couple, leaving the detective feeling completely unnerved.
Coronation Street fans will have to continue watching to find out who was following the pair and to who the real Tia Wardley is.

Manchester United ace Kobbie Mainoo has told club officials he wants to move to Napoli.
According to The Mirror, Mainoo – who could cost £50million – wants to reunite with former team-mate Scott McTominay in Naples.
However, United have denied this is the case and are unwilling to cut ties with the midfield.
The same source claims Man Utd weren’t keen on the deal after seeing the impact of McTominay has had with the Italian champions.
The Red Devils would be keen to avoid a repeat of last year’s transfer mistake involving the Scotland international.
However, the England international is said to be “adamant” about making the move to the Serie A.
Hojlund’s Napoli deal
Manchester United ace Rasmus Hojlund is set to move to Napoli.
United have reportedly reached an agreement with the Partenopei for Hojlund.
According to transfer insider Nicolo Schira, the striker’s agent is currently in Naples to finalise the deal.
The paperwork is being completed and the Denmark international is signing a contract until 2030 with the option to extend for another year.
Marseille trying to sign Zinchenko
Marseille are working on a deal to sign Arsenal ace Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Zinchenko is among a group of players, which includes Jakub Kiwior, Reiss Nelson, Fabio Vieira and Albert Sambi Lokonga, that will be allowed to leave the Gunners..
This comes as the North Londoners look to ensure they comply with UEFA’s Squad Cost Ratio (SCR) rules.
According to transfer insider David Ornstein, L’OM are exploring a permanent deal for Zinchenko but talks are complicated by his salary demands.
Simons transfer to Tottenham DETAILS
Xavi Simons has officially joined Tottenham from RB Leipzig.
Spurs confirmed Simons is joining the club on a five-plus-two-year contract.
This comes after the North Londoners struck a £52million deal with Leipzig.
The Playmaker revealed a meeting with Tottenham boss Thomas Frank was the moment he decided to join the club.
Liverpool plan record Isak bid
Liverpool are expected to make a record bid for Newcastle star Alexander Isak in the coming days.
And the Merseysiders are now expected to finally launch it ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline day.
According to The Telegraph, discussions over the potential sale of the striker have progressed in the last 24 hours.
Liverpool are now set to launch a Premier League record offer this weekend.
The Prem champions are hopeful that it will be accepted, although the bid is £20m short of the Magpies’ £150m valuation.
Mourinho to Forest DENIED – EXCLUSIVE
Jose Mourinho has left his position as Fenerbahce boss after failing to lead the Turkish giants to the Champions League.
Mourinho has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest after the Premier League outfit’s current manager Nuno Espirito Santo’s explosive press conference.
Nuno claimed his relationship with Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is not as close as it used to be and strongly suggested he will be leaving the club.
SunSport, however, understand Nottingham have no interest in hiring Mourinho at the moment and their current manager is not leaving.
Marinakis also stated his relationship with Nuno is “solid” without problems “whatsoever” and the two will meet over the weekend.
The Greek businessman also said the Portuguese tactician is the right man to lead the Tricky Trees this season.

While Emmerdale‘s dark John Sugden storyline looks set to be heading for the finish line, Friday night’s episode proved there’s still plenty of life, no pun intended, in the killer plot.
While some fans have had enough and are ready for villain John to face his comeuppance, perhaps the latest twist that aired on Friday could see it take its biggest turn yet. The latest episode of the ITV soap saw the moment it was revealed that John’s latest victim Mackenzie Boyd was still alive.
He’s been missing ever since John appeared to kill him a couple of weeks ago, in brutal scenes that sparked a number of Ofcom complaints. Mack was shot with a bow and arrow before John appeared to silence him for good, slamming a rock over his head.
But in the shocking closing moments of Friday night, we saw Mack alive while seemingly in a bad way. Then, nothing. The episode ended before we got any context and any news on his condition post-attack.

Of course there will be questions and likely some reactions calling out the big move. How could Mack possibly have survived such brutal injuries? How did he get Mack away without anyone realising?
All to be revealed of course, but arguably this is one of the biggest twists yet, and one of the best in the entire storyline. “Robert Sugden’s big return, the will-they-won’t-they Robron chaos it triggered and Robert finding himself in the middle of John’s secret antics, and the resulting feud, was very much an epic move by the show, and it revitalised the storyline,” our soap insider shared.
“But this latest twist does so much for the storyline, and means so much. To have Mack alive completely reaffirms that John is not an intentional killer, he’s just someone who’s done very, very bad things.
“He’s a manipulator, he has to be in control and he goes to desperate lengths to ensure things go the way he wants. But he’s not a planned killer, and he feels guilt… most of the time. He could have killed Mack, silenced him, but he didn’t, because he no doubt couldn’t go through with it.”

This isn’t about painting John in a “he’s just made bad choices” light though. The twist is “genius” according to our soap expert, as it could completely derail John’s life and be the pivotal moment that sees it all come crashing down.
With Aaron already suspicious over John’s behaviour and his lies, about the cottage and about his whereabouts, surely it is only a matter of time before the truth about Mack, and everything, finally comes to light. We know John is leaving the show, so a comeuppance is inevitable.
Not only does Mack’s survival seal John’s end, but it could spark a ton of new mysteries across the coming days and weeks which can give this rather dark plot some new life. Again, no pun intended, RIP Nate. “The fact that John has ‘saved’ Mack, the very person that now knows everything, there is every chance the already guilty villain will cave and expose his own deep, dark secrets – not to mention keeping Mack alive surely has to spell the end of his villainous ways.

“John is already on the edge, and we don’t know yet, thanks to the cliffhanger, what his plans are for Mack and whether he plans to let him go. We know very little asides Mack’s true fate. John could crack at any moment with Aaron or even with Mack, given his desperate calls and messages to the helplines recently.
“But the bigger question is the stuff we haven’t seen. Mack’s survival was kept top secret, so we are guaranteed to be shown or told some unaired moments, and stuff that has not been given away in spoilers. That cannot simply be it with Mack, it has to be revisited.
“What did happen to him after that showdown? What has happened since his capture, and what’s gone on in those weeks he was believed to be dead? Surely, onscreen or not, we will be told some previously untold and unaired moments.”
That’s not all though, as it could spark some new mysteries. “This isn’t just going to leave big questions in terms of what we haven’t seen, but also a new mystery surrounding whether Mack will live or die, and if he can get away. Then there’s the ongoing mystery surrounding the body of Anthony Fox who was killed at the start of the year by Ruby Miligan.
“John still hasn’t disclosed where he buried him, and he sparked new theories with fans when mentioning him in a recent episode. This latest twist with Mack will no doubt leave fans wondering what really happened there too, and where Anthony is. Some may call it unrealistic, but I’d say Mack’s reappearance is somewhat a genius move, given all the things it could now lead to. It’s really, really exciting.”
