Loose Women host confirms show to be dropped in ITV schedule shake-up

Loose Women has been hit with a sudden schedule change

Loose Women is set for a schedule shake-up.

Kaye Adams confirmed that the ITV hit show will be missing from the regular 12.30pm timeslot on Friday, June 5.

During Thursday’s (June 4) episode the TV presenter returned to our TV screens alongside fellow panellists Jane Moore, Oti Mabuse and EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy as they shared their opinions on the day’s trending topics.

Speaking at the end of the episode, Kaye revealed that the show won’t air tomorrow, however, she was quick to assure fans that they’ll be back in business on Monday (June 8) as normal.

She explained: “That’s it for today. No Loose Women tomorrow as ITV heads to the races but we will be back on Monday at 12:30. We will see you then.”

Loose Women will instead be replaced with the races. Viewers will see Francesca Cumani and Ed Chamberlin present live coverage of The Oaks from Epsom, plus the support races.

There will also be analysis from Jason Weaver and Adele Mulrennan, reports by Matt Chapman, Rishi Persad, Oli Bell and Mick Fitzgerald, and commentary from Richard Hoiles.

It comes after ITV’s shake-up that came into force at the start of 2026 when Loose Women was cut to a 30-week seasonal schedule.

Speaking about the cuts, Coleen Nolan previously told the Mirror: “The crew have become family. I’ve watched them grow. Some of our runners from back in the day are producers, married with kids. I’ve shared my life with them. They’re in limbo, not knowing what they’re going to do.”

She continued: “Loose Women isn’t ending, which I’m so thankful for, but it’s changing. It’s going to be very different in the respect of the size of the crew, but it’s still running. Which it should be – there isn’t another show that celebrates and supports all women of every size, age, whatever.

“But it’s heartbreaking to see some of my colleagues not knowing what they’re going to do. Many of them have young families and mortgages.”

Nadia Sawalha previously spoke out on the YouTube channel she shares with her husband Mark Adderley, saying: “Do you know what, at the moment, all of us on screen are in work and are proud of what we do.”

“But behind the scenes there are people that are really suffering, and what you don’t realise is when you attack the show you attack them, because you never see all the army of people behind the scenes and how hard they work.

“So to all my friends and colleagues behind the scenes who have just got a huge shock out of the blue, I’m so sorry. Mark knows how upset I’ve been at home about it. I just can’t bear it. So just be f****** kind to people. What people don’t realise at Loose Women is that we’re self-employed. Every contract is a new contract. I could be let go tomorrow.”

Loose Women airs weekdays from 12:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

Soccer Aid’s GK Barry yelled at by Tom Grennan as she misses pass to dance with crowd

GK Barry was yelled out by a celebrity teammate during Soccer Aid after she ignored a pass to instead dance with the crowd just seconds into her time on the pitch

GK Barry appeared to leave a Soccer Aid teammate frustrated just moments into her time on the pitch. The Loose Women star was yelled at by Tom Grennan after she was too busy dancing with the crowd to see him pass her the ball.

The 26-year-old influencer, whose real name is Grace Keeling, was on England’s team at this year’s charity match and came on after replacing Tom Hiddleston in the 41st minute of the game. She quickly got the ball and passed it to Grennan, then turned to the crowd to celebrate, but missed Grennan’s return pass.

As Keeling celebrated, Grennan kicked the ball back to her and it rolled out of play. He appeared to yell something at her, gesturing to where the ball had rolled out of bounds, before turning his back.

Fans thought Keeling’s antics were “hilarious”. One said: “GK Barry in soccer aid is absolutely sending me”. Another added: “Literally love GK Barry so much”. A third said: “GK Barry is hilarious”. One called it an “all time soccer aid moment”.

Prior to the match, GK Barry sat down with Mirror to talk about Soccer Aid, particularly what her footballer girlfriend Ella Rutherford thought of it. “She’s really excited,” Keeling revealed. “I’ve never been one to understand football; I’ve never had the chance, but I feel like she’s loving telling me about it. She’s like ‘This is a corner’, and I’m like ‘OK’.”

Keeling joked that she and Rutherford were “swapping roles” and she was going to be “signing up to Portsmouth”. She also revealed how her girlfriend was helping her prepare for the match.

“I’m learning how to dribble,” she laughed, adding: “Learning what goal is ours that we have to shoot in. Ella’s got me on a high protein diet, which is hell – I’ve been doing a lot of that, a lot of eggs, a lot of mince, it’s disgusting but I’m hoping that will make me automatically become a footballer.”

As for advice on how to be on the pitch, Keeling says she’s noticed Rutherford is “very good at stopping people getting the ball”. But Barry is a “wuss”. “Her main thing is, you need to control the ball,” she explained, adding: “I get scared – if I’ve got a six-foot man coming towards me trying to get the ball, he might have to have it.”

Despite her excitement for Soccer Aid, Keeling joked it wasn’t her “bag”. She said: “Because I’ve watched Ella do it i sort of maybe kind of know what to expect a little bit, that’s what I’m telling myself.” But, the thought of 60,000 people attending is giving Grace the fear.

“I have a thing, I forget how to walk if I think someone behind me is looking at me,” she said, adding: “I do fear that I may skip onto the pitch or something like that. But it should be exciting, it’s the biggest thing I’ve done.” And despite being terrified she may embarrass herself, that doesn’t matter for Keeling as she’s taking part in an “amazing” event.

And Keeling admits that aligning herself with such a positive cause is “nice” for her due to the ages of her audience. “I think it’s amazing to tie in with that,” she said, adding: “Our team, there are so many types of people in different bits of the industry, so the amount of people we’ll be able to bring in and donate to the charity is amazing.”

Loose Women star exposes ‘touch and go’ health problem moments before live show

A Loose Women panellist spoke about her health problems after rushing for help before the live show.

Loose Women panellist Jane Moore has revealed she rushed to medics for help before a live show.

The panellist joined Christine Lampard, Judi Love and GK Barry on Friday’s programme, where the presenters were discussing dentist appointments.

At one point after a break, Christine teased: “Do you fear losing your teeth as dentists warn they’re overwhelmed?” before jokingly adding: “Jane is here to tell us all about nearly having to rush a dentist onto the studio floor, that was only a couple of weeks ago… it was touch and go, wasn’t it?”

Laughing it off, Jane explained that she had turned up to the studio one morning, and as she was eating, a tooth “fell” into her mouth.

“I thought, ‘What the hell’s that?'” she went on, saying the others had been laughing at her during their morning meeting.

Jane continued: “So I then had to get on a bike and go to the dentist in the middle of the meeting, he was on holiday!

“Anyway, it was a whole thing, so I came back with the tooth, got some gummy stuff and literally put it in.

“People might have noticed – I’m normally quite gobby – [but] I barely said a word. I thought, if I say anything slightly emphatic, my tooth is going to go!”

She added that her loose tooth resulted from receding gums, and she’s now waiting to get it properly fixed after a temporary solution.

This comes after fellow ITV star Kate Garraway made an emergency dash to a dentist after her teeth fell out moments before Good Morning Britain.

She later took to Instagram to explain she’d had an “unfortunate collision” resulting in two front teeth getting cracked.

She said: “Letting you in on the horror behind the scenes on Monday’s show…

“After an unfortunate collision with a taxi window at the weekend I cracked my two front teeth caps.. of course. They then fell out just before going on air.

“All I can say is it’s hard to appear young and cool in front of a whole new team of trendy producers when you are reduced to gluing your teeth on with denture fixative at three in the morning!!!”

Kate continued: “An emergency trip to the dentist means now I have a temporary set of fake teeth … but they are soooo massive.

“Just hoping they hold for @gmb tmrw from 6am with @richardmadeleyofficial – glue at the ready!”

Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

Judy Finnigan ‘sleeps in separate bedroom’ to Richard Madeley as he admits ‘you don’t mess’

Richard Madeley has been married to fellow TV presenter Judy Finnigan for almost 40 years, but the couple have been sleeping in separate rooms due to one particular reason

Richard Madeley has revealed the heartfelt reason behind why he sleeps in a separate bedroom from Judy Finnigan. The 69 year old Good Morning Britain presenter shot to stardom alongside Judy during the 1980s when the couple fronted ITV’s This Morning, before launching their own show, Richard and Judy, on Channel 4.

The pair first crossed paths in 1982, while both were married to different partners, but their romance flourished and 39 years ago today (November 21) they tied the knot in Manchester. They share two children, Jack and Chloe Madeley, while Richard is also stepfather to Judy’s two eldest sons, Dan and Tom Henshaw, from her previous marriage.

Richard and Judy, who turns 78 today (Saturday, May 16), ran from 2001 to 2009 before declining ratings led to its cancellation by television channel Watch. Judy later became a regular panellist on ITV’s Loose Women while Richard joined Good Morning Britain. However, a decade ago, Judy made the major decision to step back from television – which has resulted in them sleeping separately.

And Richard says his wife is “really enjoying” her break from the cameras. Meanwhile, he continues presenting GMB alongside journalist Susanna Reid. Though he recently took time off from the programme, informing followers he was “operating at 80 per cent” after contracting Covid.

Hosting ITV’s flagship morning programme means early rises for Richard. With GMB broadcasting from 6am, he regularly retreats to the spare room so his wife can enjoy a few extra hours of sleep. The beloved presenter lifted the lid on their bedtime arrangements during an appearance on Kate Thornton’s White Wine Question Time podcast.

He explained: “When I’m doing Good Morning Britain I sleep in the spare room. I do probably sleep a little bit better in bed with Judy but I’m okay on my own.” When asked whether he’d consider waking Judy up early instead, he added: “I wouldn’t think of doing that to Judy. Apart from anything else, Judy and her sleep, you do not mess with,” reports the Manchester Evening News.

Kate revealed that fellow early-morning broadcaster Amol Rajan claims he “sleeps better” with his wife beside him — meaning the couple, who have four children all under the age of seven, must rise at the crack of dawn whenever he presents the Today programme. Richard quipped: “Amol Rajan’s wife must be a saint.”

He added: “We did This Morning, but the difference between me and Amol there is that Judy and I would get up at the same time. The alarm would go off, we’d both get up and roll into our jeans, get in the car, and drive to Liverpool to do the show, and then when we were in London, drive down to the Southbank.

So we went to bed at the same time and woke up at the same time.” Richard and Judy first crossed paths in the 1980s while working on separate Granada TV programmes. Richard recalls hearing that Judy was “dicing [an executive] into small cubes with her tongue” following his “something sexist” remark. Speaking to the Guardian in 2014, he said: “I thought, wow – I’m going to marry her.”

Richard has recently disclosed that Judy initially harboured doubts about his capabilities as a stepfather. Speaking to Busted’s Matt Willis on the On the Mend podcast, Richard revealed that Judy made clear she came as a “three-pack” alongside twins Dan and Tom. To thoroughly assess his feelings about the relationship, Richard jetted off to Greece for some soul-searching.

He spent a fortnight in the Mediterranean nation reflecting “quite deeply” on his future, though the tale would eventually reach a happy ending. Richard explained: “So, I went off on my own. I went off to Greece for two weeks on a kind of a solo holiday to think about it, because I didn’t want to rush – well, I wasn’t rushing – but I didn’t want to make that mistake.”

Richard says the period apart from Judy helped him recognise that he was “quite comfortable” taking on a role in the boys’ lives. He added: “I didn’t want to say airily and with super-confidence, ‘Oh, yeah, it’ll be fine. You know, I’m happy to be a stepfather’. I needed to know that I could deliver and that I meant it.”
