Spain’s hidden paradise with crystal clear water and beaches that’s ‘better than Ibiza’

Holidaymakers are urged to ditch Ibiza and Marbella for Spain’s ‘real paradise’ – a stunning Mediterranean beach escape with crystal clear water, hidden coves and charming medieval villages

With summer now officially upon us, many people will be looking to escape the UK and soak up some sun abroad, even as temperatures across the country are forecast to reach as high as 30C over the coming weeks. Yet it appears that British holiday habits are shifting.

Research suggests that many Brits are turning their backs on Southern Europe, with popular hotspots in Spain, Turkey and Greece attracting fewer UK visitors than before. And while plenty of travellers may have concerns about overcrowding at well-trodden holiday destinations, there are a number of hidden gems just waiting to be uncovered.

One TikTok account has been singing the praises of what they’ve dubbed ‘Spain’s real paradise‘, urging holidaymakers to swap the likes of Ibiza and Marbella for this lesser-known treasure instead.

“Forget Ibiza. This is Spain’s real paradise,” read the on-screen text in the video, which offered a tantalising glimpse of a stunning coastal town with a beach as its backdrop.

The clip went on to showcase a breathtaking sandy beach with crystal-clear waters that ‘looks straight out of the Caribbean’, along with secluded water coves just waiting to be explored.

For those fancying a break from the beach, there are also Medieval towns and castles to discover, as well as coastal walking trails that offer truly spectacular scenery.

They wrote in the caption: “Costa Brava is one of the most beautiful destinations in Spain, with crystal-clear waters, hidden beaches, charming medieval villages, scenic coastal walks, and stunning Mediterranean views.”

The Costa Brava, which translates as “Wild Coast,” is a rugged, striking stretch of shoreline in Catalonia, north-eastern Spain. Running from Blanes all the way to the French border, it’s celebrated for its dramatic cliffs, secluded coves, medieval villages, and its connection to surrealist artist Salvador Dalí.

“If you’re planning a Spain vacation, add Costa Brava to your travel bucket list,” the caption continued.

Given its size, you’ve got plenty of choice when it comes to picking a base that suits your holiday plans. If you fancy a quaint village with rocky coves and pristine waters, then Calella de Palafrugell might be just the ticket.

Celebrated for its beauty, Tossa de Mar features a remarkably preserved medieval walled old town perched above a golden beach. Meanwhile, Cadaqués offers a more bohemian vibe, having once been a retreat for artist Salvador Dalí. For those after a livelier break, Lloret de Mar serves as a buzzing hotspot for nightlife, water parks, and package getaways.

If Costa Brava is on the cards for your next escape, the shoulder months of May, June, and September are generally regarded as the ideal time to go. You’ll benefit from warm, swimmable conditions, pleasant sea temperatures, and fewer crowds, according to EasyJet.

The summer months of July and August represent the busiest period, drawing enormous crowds and heavy traffic, whereas the winter season from November through to March brings cold weather and sees many coastal eateries and hotels shut their doors until spring.

Harper Beckham, 14, channels Victoria as she borrows mum’s designer dress on family holiday to Ibiza

HARPER Beckham, 14, has channelled Victoria while borrowing her mum’s designer dress.

The only daughter of Spice Girls star Victoria mum and billionaire sportsman dad David Beckham, accompanied her parents on a recent trip to Ibiza.

The family were spotted soaking up the sunshine during a glamorous family getaway in Spain on Sunday.

In snaps of the famous family taken over the weekend, Victoria and David were seen with daughter Harper, son Romeo and his girlfriend Kim Turnball.

Victoria looked amazing in the photos, rocking a floaty chiffon brown dress, which was covered in a pretty floral print.

But now Harper has been spotted rocking the same exact frock after seemingly raiding her mum’s wardrobe and channelling her chic style.

The teenager was seen out and about wearing the garment while smiling from ear-to-ear.

It is thought that the brown chiffon dress could be a new Victoria Beckham piece from the high-end designer fashion brand.

Harper paired the dress with a stunning £1,275 golden Bottega Veneta clutch bag and a pair of £680 Hermès Oran sandals.

This comes as Harper continues to be tipped to follow in her mother’s footsteps as a fashion and beauty entrepreneur.

Back in October last year, HIKU BY Harper, the proposed name for the skincare and beauty brand, was filed under two trademark applications by the business Victoria incorporated for Harper, H7B Limited, matching the teenager’s full name, Harper Seven Beckham.

A source told us at the time: “Harper loves fashion and make-up and has already started doing make-up tutorials.

“The plan is to create a brand aimed at the younger market, taking inspiration for pop culture and Korean beauty.

The Beckhams are incredibly encouraging parents when it comes to their kids’ talents and exploring their hobbies and business ideas.  They’re a very entrepreneurial family.”

Victoria previously said of her daughter: “Harper is going to be one of two things.

“She’s either going to be a beauty mogul or she’s going to be a stand-up.

“She is hilarious.”

This comes after football legend and his wife Victoria were revealed to have amassed a fortune of £1.185billion, as per Sunday Times Rich List.

Sir David’s new eye-watering fortune puts him ahead of the King, whose wealth stands at just £680million.

The Beckhams’ skyrocketing ascent to 141st on the list comes thanks to business ventures including Victoria’s fashion brand and their lucrative production company, which was behind their hit Netflix documentary.

The power couple also have a number of commercial deals with the likes of Adidas, Pepsi, Armani, Coty, which made Beckham’s Instinct aftershave, and the Las Vegas Sands hotel group.

But the biggest increase in the Manchester United legend’s wealth was because of his US football club Inter Miami, which he created in 2018 and owns a 26 per cent stake of.

The hugely popular club is continuously growing thanks to its star players like Lionel Messi and fellow ex-Barcelona star Luis Suarez.

Olivia Attwood and Pete Wicks snubbed from KISS Ibiza trip

OLIVIA Attwood and Pete Wicks have revealed that they were snubbed from a recent trip to Ibiza hosted by KISS Radio.

It comes a year after the duo were seen looking cosy together on a yacht on a different trip with KISS.

At the time, uproar arose because Olivia was still married to former flame Bradley Dack.

Though the TV presenter Olivia and ex-Towie’s Pete are now dating, after being seen kissing in a bar in March.

Speaking about the snub on their Sunday Roast podcast, Olivia and Pete addressed the “elephant in the room”.

Olivia began: “Pete I can’t believe we haven’t actually addressed the elephant in the room.

“I wasn’t sure how to address it but basically… this year we haven’t been invited back to Ibiza Pete…’

Pete then chimed in, saying: ‘I’m disappointed to be honest with you. I don’t know if it was our performance last year or what we did but we have been put on the bench. We’ve been replaced actually.

“This week KISS has been out in Ibiza for the opening parties and last year we got an invite but this year Tyler (West) and Chloe Burrows are going.”

Olivia quipped back: “Yeah I can’t imagine why we weren’t invited…”

It comes after Olivia and Pete have been hinting that they are an item after being friends for over a decade.

Olivia recently hinted at it, saying it’s “great to fall in love” during an appearance on Loose Women where the ladies were discussing the topic of relationships and friendships.

Giving her opinion on the topic, Olivia said: “I love love and it’s great to fall in love and to be in a relationship.”

But not giving too much away, she then explained how its also important to maintain friendships alongside romances.

Olivia continued: “But never neglect those relationships outside, because they will probably be the ones that consist your whole life.”

Pete also hinted at something, getting shy when asked on the spot whether he loves a girl.

During a recent episode of his podcast Staying Relevant, which he co-hosts alongside his best pal Sam Thompson, Sam probed Pete about being spotted with Olivia at Heathrow airport.

Sam asked: “Do you like to go to the airport frequently when you’re not flying?”

Pete replied: “Yeah when I’m around. I bumped into a few people I know and that. It’s just one of those things sometimes I like to go to the airport to get my coffee, there’s a really good Cafe Nero there.”

Former I’m A Celeb star Sam argued that Heathrow was quite a way from Pete’s home but appearing to use a clever euphemism for Olivia he said the “coffee is worth it.”

Talking of Olivia and Pete’s pap pictures, Sam joked: “You looked really happy to be there.”

Sam then tried to get Pete to confess his love for Olivia, but he failed.

He said: “I love girls. No, no not loads of girls, I love girl… Do you love girl, Pete?”

Poor Pete was lost for words as he tried to keep the conversation moving.
