demolitions

Israeli authorities have demolished 80 structures in Al-Dahiya village in Israel’s Negev Desert, claiming they were built without permits. Rahat’s mayor says the demolitions have displaced around 400 Palestinians, leaving families facing uncertainty over where to find shelter.

Indian police used tear gas and batons on demonstrators as hundreds of people gathered for the second day to protest against the scheduled demolition of a mosque in the city of Ujjain. Several people were arrested, while work began to knock down part of the building.
