Phil Collins, Billy Idol and Wu-Tang Clan lead 2026 Rock Hall inductees

Phil Collins, Luther Vandross, Oasis, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Sade, Wu-Tang Clan, Joy Division and New Order will join the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year at its annual induction ceremony, the organization announced Monday evening. The news was revealed on “American Idol” by Lionel Richie, a judge on the TV talent show who was himself inducted into the hall in 2022.

The 2026 class of inductees — set to be welcomed Nov. 14 in a ceremony at the Peacock Theatre in downtown Los Angeles — represents a broad array of styles and genres, including hip-hop, R&B, Britpop, heavy metal and post-punk. Yet the group contains only two women: the Nigerian-British soul singer Sade and New Order’s Gillian Gilbert; that result is likely to attract criticism after years in which organizers have sought to diversify the hall’s ranks along race and gender lines.

Three of the new members — voted in by a group of more than 1,200 musicians, executives, historians and journalists — are joining the hall after being nominated for the first time: Vandross, the R&B star whose voice was prominently sampled in Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy-winning “Luther”; Wu-Tang Clan, the boisterous rap group that recently undertook what it called a farewell tour; and Collins, who’s getting in as a solo act after being inducted as a member of Genesis in 2010. (An act becomes eligible for induction 25 years after the release of its first commercial recording.) The remaining inductees had all been previously nominated.

Artists nominated for the 2026 class who didn’t make the cut include Mariah Carey, Shakira, Lauryn Hill, Melissa Etheridge, INXS, New Edition, Pink, the Black Crowes and the late Jeff Buckley.

Several other musicians will be honored at November’s ceremony. Celia Cruz, Fela Kuti, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte and Gram Parsons will receive the hall’s Early Influence Award, while the Musical Excellence Award will go to Linda Creed, Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller and Rick Rubin. The television impresario Ed Sullivan is to be honored with the Ahmet Ertegun Award, a commendation for non-performers named after the late Atlantic Records co-founder who started the Rock Hall with Rolling Stone magazine’s Jann Wenner in the mid-1980s. These are posthumous honors for a number of recipients, including Vandross, Cruz, Kuti, Parsons, Creed, Mardin, Miller and Sullivan.

The 2026 ceremony in L.A. will be filmed and shown in December on ABC and Disney+. Organizers said 2027’s event will take place at the hall’s home in Cleveland.

Gemma Collins fumes ‘someone call my agent’ as she regrets I’m A Celebrity return

I’m A Celebrity’s returning campmate Gemma Collins confessed to co-stars she ‘regrets’ her comeback, calling the camp ‘hell’ and ‘rancid’ as she feared she’d need surgery

Gemma Collins certainly brought the entertainment on I’m A Celebrity after her big return.

But Gemma wasn’t seeing the funny side, demanding someone “call her agent” as she slammed the “rancid” camp. She fumed the conditions “were not right”, calling it “hell”.

She hadn’t even been in camp for a day, but life in the basic camp took its toll as she confessed she regretted her return. Gemma left her series after 72 hours in 2014, and now she’s ready to redeem herself.

But just a day in, Gemma was struggling. Seeing the bed situation, the toilet and the shower, Gemma did not hold back. She said to Adam Thomas: “Do you think this is acceptable? This ain’t right. I ain’t showering.

“This is so bad. Someone call my agent if they’re listening because this is not acceptable.” As Adam asked if she regretted coming back, she simply replied: “Yeah.”

Later the complaints continued, as she said: “What have I done in my life to deserve this? It is just rancid. The beds… I’m gonna need back surgery after one night sleep.

“It is just hell, basically. That’s not right.” She then added after her first sleep in camp: “I feel like I’m in a torture camp. I’m in agony, this is so bad but I’ve done it.”

It comes after fans complained about the ending to Tuesday’s episode, calling for the pre-recorded format to be axed entirely. Just as Gemma and Craig Charles battled it out during their first trial in the spin-off series, the episode featured a cliffhanger twist that left fans fuming.

Gemma and Craig had just decided how much they were going to eat in the eating trial, battling it out for points for their team. It all came down to the final showdown, but as hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly kicked it off, the show ended.

Featuring a cliffhanger and ending the episode before the trial had finished did not go down well with ITV viewers. As many slammed the decision and bosses, one viewer even called for the format of the spin-off series to be axed entirely.

With it being a pre-recorded series, filmed late last year, viewers have less involvement and it’s all a little different to the main series. Taking to social media to call out ITV for ending the episode too early, one fan said: “What a cruel way to end that.”

Another said: “No no no, it didn’t just end like that. Who do I’m celeb think they are. Love island?” A third post read: “WHAT THE F**K. Axe this pre-recorded format immediately WHAT DO YOU MEAN ending the episode on a cliffhanger in the MIDDLE OF A TRIAL?!”

A further post said: “YOU CANT JUST END IT LIKE THAT WHAT THE HELL.” One fan wrote: “NOOOOOOOO WHY END THERE,” as another said: “A cliffhanger. You’re ending it on a cliffhanger.”

How did Rami meet Gemma Collins?

Rami and Gemma met at the famous King William pub in Chigwell, Essex, and started dating back in 2011.

He made his first brief appearance in series 9 when he jetted off to Marbella to see Gemma.

The pair announced their first engagement on December 27, 2013, although this was broken off several weeks later.

He proposed to the star by hiding a diamond ring in a Christmas pudding.

Rami was mentioned many times on the programme as the couple continued their on-off relationship.

He and Gemma grew close again during the Covid-19 lockdown after Gemma split with James ‘Arg’ Argent, and they have kept their rekindled romance.

In April 2021, they were spotted enjoying a romantic sushi dinner where they kissed and cuddled in public, taking cute selfies throughout the evening.

A source told the MailOnline: “Gemma has been seeing Rami again in secret for the last six months.

“The pair have enjoyed spending time together and getting reacquainted during date nights in London and Essex.

“Gemma suffered a lot of stress and trauma during her relationship with Arg, which has been on and off for years – but she’s finally putting herself first and moving forward with her life.”

In December 2021, Gemma confirmed she was once again engaged to Rami, saying the pair “can’t really come out and say anything yet because Ram was married before and his paperwork has not come through.”

She continued: “They’ve not been together for two years.

“I know her, she’s got a partner, she’s as good as gold.

“There’s a child involved, he’s only three, obviously I love him to death.

“But until that paperwork’s signed I can’t come out.”

Speaking about how he proposed for the third time, a source told The Sun: “Rami popped the question again in the Maldives, and Gemma had no idea it was coming, she was so shocked.

“She is absolutely thrilled and she can’t believe it is finally happening.

“Rami had flown out hundreds of roses and there were thousands of petals. She didn’t know what was happening until a huge platter of cakes came out and as Gemma started eating her mango dessert, Rami surprised her and said, ‘look at that’.

“He had lit up, ‘Will You Marry Me?’ on the sand.

“Gemma had no idea, she thought they were having a relaxing dinner on the beach, she had no makeup on, it was a beautiful natural moment and she couldn’t have wished for anything more.

“He got down on one knee, the ring was in a shell. It was such a beautiful moment and of course she cried.”

The source added: “Yes, the ring is absolutely amazing. It’s a huge big sparkler.”

Does Rami have any children with Gemma Collins?

Rami Hawash does not have children with Gemma Collins.

However, the reality star has previously revealed she is “desperate for a baby” and has even decided she wants to call her unborn child Blossom, after the Japanese blossom tree.

Talking on The Gemma Collins podcast, Gemma candidly said: “I found the love of my life, I’m definitely ready to have a baby now.”

Rami has a six-year-old son called Tristan, who is kept out of the public eye, with his ex-wife.

Gemma was praised by Rami for being “a fantastic step-mum” to Tristan, in a message for her birthday in January 2022.

“To the love of my life, Gemma,” Rami wrote.

“I am so happy to have you back in my life. I have always dreamed and felt this would happen.

“Me and Tristan are so lucky to have you in our lives. You are a wonderful partner and a fantastic step-mum to Tristan.

“We are so grateful to have you and you bring us so much joy. Happy birthday, we love you Gemma.”

What is Rami Hawash’s net worth?

According to Share-Ask.com, Rami’s net worth is between £400,000 and £1.35million.

Reports of his net worth are very limited, with most outlets saying it is unknown.

However his fiancee, Gemma is reportedly worth around £4million.

Gemma and Rami’s love story timeline

Their love story has been years in the making and was meant to be.

It all began back in 2011 when they met in a pub in Chigwell, Essex.

They started dating properly two years later and Rami made several appearances on The Only Way Is Essex before they announced their first engagement in the same year.

But their relationship hit a rough patch, leading to a break-up, with Gemma citing that she “wasn’t ready” for marriage at the time.

After navigating a tumultuous on/off relationship with her Towie co-star James Argent Gemma and Rami found their way back to each other in late 2020 after crossing paths at a Madonna concert in London.

In December 2021, Gemma first announced that they were re-engaged and embraced her role as stepmother to Rami’s six-year-old son, Tristan.

A year later she called off their wedding, insisting she didn’t want to spend frivolously on a huge wedding during a cost of living crisis.

The U-turn came a year before they sparked split rumours again.

Last year, they went months without being pictured together in public.

They also unfollowed each other on social media.

Gemma then confirmed in October that they were firmly back on and that she wanted to get married in a quiet ceremony.

Gemma Collins fears being hospitalised after grimmest I’m A Celebrity eating trial

Gemma Collins and Craig Charles entered the I’m A Celeb All Stars show in dramatic fashion with one of the worst trials ever seen on ITV

Camp late entries Craig Charles and Gemma Collins took part in an epic eating trial called Gut Instincts that pushed them both to the limit. At one stage Craig was sick and during another course Gemma claimed she had to quit that course as she was “going to be hospitalised” if she finished the food.

Before the I’m A Celeb games began, 45-year-old Gemma pleaded with the group: “Just give me a chance guys, please. I’ve got a different mindset this time, don’t write me off.”

Hosts Ant and Dec told Craig and Gemma that their first task will be an eating trial, after which they will split to join separate camps. The main Camp selected Craig to join them, assigning Gemma to Savannah Scrub.

During the trial, Craig and Gemma had to privately decide how many servings of dishes to eat. The player who commits to the highest number of servings then had to eat them to win points, but if they failed their rival could try to eat their food to steal the points.

Dishes included Fish Eye Pie, Terror-rine with blended chicken intestine and Brain Freeze – which was made of Springbok brains. This final one caused Gemma a lot of problems.

Shocked by the sight of one of the dishes, Craig said: “Have you ramped this up because it doesn’t look that bad on the telly?” Dec replied: “This is the Legends.”

The pair made their way through the lengthy menu, and after six of the seven courses, Craig has 12 points and Gemma 10.

The trial will finish tonight(Wednesday) in a dramatic climax that left the campmates in disbelief, as both contestants vowed to consume 30 shots each of Bloody Moory Shots – blended bull’s heart and bull’s blood.

Gemma said: “I’m gonna bang the whole tray. I’m doing my best.”

Once they both decided to go for the maximum, Ant and Dec said it would be race to see who finishes them first and wins meals for their camp. But if either is sick they will forfeit the round.

Scarlett Moffat said: “This is amazing, this is unbelievable.”

I’m A Celeb’s Gemma Collins’ powerful statement as she enters camp for second time

Gemma Collins says she will prove she is ‘strong woman’ in I’m A Celebrity camp second time around.

Former TOWIE star Gemma Collins has insisted she is committed to I’m A Celebrity second time around.

The reality TV star lasted just 72 hours first time around before quitting in 2014, but has been given a second chance in South Africa. Gemma, who went in as a late entry alongside Craig Charles, said: “Going on All Stars is a real moment for me in my career – it’s redemption. To be able to do this again is the greatest honour ever. I am going to be the best campmate and get those stars. None of us will be starving under my watch.”

The 45-year old also revealed she will be walking into the South African jungle as ‘Gemma Collins’ and not her dive persona ‘The GC’.

She said: “I am dreading the whole lot, I don’t think anyone goes into the jungle going ‘woohoo’. It’s not normal to be faced with animals, but I am going in as Gemma Collins. Gemma Collins is a self-made woman. I have been to hell and back to get to where I am today. I am just looking forward to proving to people I can do it.

“There is no way I am going to be leaving after 72 hours. I am in it to win it. I am going through to the end. Last time, there were no highlights for me. But I wasn’t the strong, assertive woman I am today and I’ve got a totally different mindset.”

She says if she were lucky enough to win the series, it would be the ultimate pinnacle in her career.

Gemma said: “If I could get crowned the ‘Legend’, I would just feel complete in my life. Me quitting has been a shadow hanging over me. It would be my real redemption moment of my career that I had done this and nobody could take it away from me.”

Ahead of filming the show last year, Gemma also said she was looking forward to chatting with Ant & Dec again in the jungle.

She added: “It has been embarrassing whenever I have been to ITV parties knowing their first thought might be, ‘oh no, there is that girl who left the jungle’. They are fabulous. I want to show them what I am made of and get that new-found respect.”

As well as Gemma other returning stars include Olympian Sir Mo Farah, former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts, actor Adam Thomas, singer Sinitta and comedian Seann Walsh.

Gemma and fellow latecomer Craig Charles will be competing in a trial before they arrive in camp tonight.

Asked if the show changed her first time around, she added: “No but now with hindsight, I realise I wasn’t wholesome or grounded when I went in. I was this girl from Essex who was all about Range Rovers, fancy jewellery and fancy coats. I am going to South Africa with a very different mindset.”

Gemma Collins shares brutally honest confession on her baby dream

Gemma let the cameras follow her as she and partner Rami had IVF and planned their wedding but she says the results show ‘a real nightmare’ of a year

Gemma Collins’ new series Four Weddings and a Baby will see her breaking down in agony after fearing that her mother Joan was at death’s door last year.

Launching the new show Gemma, 45, said it would give a warts and all look at her life over a year. Speaking to Dermot O’Leary at a Sky event in London, she explained: “During making the show my mum nearly died, my relationship was obviously taking a bit of a hit, I was trying to have a baby – my whole world just fell apart.

“Because I was going through so much trauma and struggles, there was no performative person there. Everyone gets to see the real me – you’re in my home. It’s what people don’t see. I was broken.”

She explained that the reality series would be very different to TOWIE and other programmes she has appeared on. “I’m used to being very performative. The camera goes on, The GC comes out, boomshackalack, that’s really how it is. Hold on to your seats because you never know what’s going to happen!

READ MORE: David Walliams suffers fresh cancellation after being dropped by book publisher

“But this is a show where I’m trying to have a baby, I’m trying to get married and none of it goes smooth. It’s a nightmare. But it’s not a comical nightmare it’s a real nightmare.”

The series is due to launch on Sky Max later this year. In one clip, Gemma is seen weeping while driving as she explains to the camera how Joan is in hospital and in a very bad way, having caught pneumonia and suffering from a “build up of fluid”.

She explains: “My mum has suffered with chronic illness for 10 years. This is not my first rodeo with her. However, this one has to be the worst. It’s making me realise that mum might not have a lot of time left.”

Viewers will also be able to follow Gemma’s attempt to conceive using IVF, with fiancé Rami Hawash, and also their attempt to organise a wedding. But in another clip she sobs: “Having a baby is not easy. You don’t want to be making the wrong decisions in your life. Then I think f*** it – if mum hasn’t got long left – do I just spend my life with my mum, you know? And then just not have a baby, not get married.”

She told Dermot that the aim of the series was to be “a bit more vulnerable and honest”, adding: “It’s me not having any control over my life, any control over the cameras. It’s very raw.

“Family have always been everything to me, which people haven’t seen, but I think it’s OK to show people you are human? Nothing’s perfect, life’s not perfect and maybe that will resonate.”

Asked how Joan, 70, is doing now, Gemma said that she has moved in to her house and has carers who come regularly. “I’m just so grateful for every day I get to spend with her,” Gemma said. Another clip from the upcoming series shows how the Essex favourite tried to prepare for her second stint in I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.

In a bid to become less fearful, she invites a snake-handler round to her house and admits the thing she is most afraid of is “a snake wrapping itself around my neck” The woman gives assurance that Gemma won’t be given “anything that’s going to hurt you”. But when the snake is placed around her shoulders it flicks its tail into her face, leaving her sweating and saying: “F***, f***, f***.”

Brentford and Ireland captain Nathan Collins on World Cup dreams

Kelly: Let’s try and get to know you a little bit more away from the pitch. Firstly, I always like asking: what were you like as a youngster?

Nathan: If you asked my mam or dad, they’d say I was a headcase! I was just a bit itchy, I always had to move. I could never sit still and relax. I always had to do something. So they had to burn me out. I always wanted to be in the grass or playing football, just running around to drain my energy. I think I was hard work for my parents, I’d say it like that!

Kelly: It sounds like maybe it was quite a chaotic household. How many siblings have you got?

Nathan: I’ve got an older brother, a younger sister and a younger brother. I think it was just a constant battle of me trying to beat my older brother. It was just so hard because the age difference. We all had training at different times and they’d be running out of the house and you’d forget your boots or they’d be taking two cars in different directions. It was a bit of a carnage, but you wouldn’t have it any other way.

Kelly: Are you still close now?

Nathan: Ah yeah, of course. I talk to them more or less every day on the phone. Every chance I get to go home I will. My mam goes to every game – home and away. She watches them all.

Kelly: So she flies over? Are they still in Ireland?

Nathan: Yeah, they live in Ireland, so she flies over and she goes everywhere to be fair.

Kelly: Home and away?

Nathan: Yeah.

Kelly: That is some commitment!

Nathan: I know, I tell her, ‘listen, you don’t have to’ and she’s like, ‘no, I want to’.

Kelly: Not everyone’s got a son that’s a Premier League footballer though… I kind of get the appeal!

Nathan: Yeah, I don’t think that she watches the matches. I think that she just looks at me the whole game and sees what I’m doing. She’ll come after, ‘Why were you scratching your leg so much in the match?’ … ‘I don’t know. How do you know that?’

Kelly: Aw, bless her, that’s really sweet. How would your best friend describe you?

Nathan: I’d like to think that they’d describe me as the same lad I was growing up. The first thing that would pop in their head… they wouldn’t say I’m a footballer. I think they’d just say, ‘ah Nathan, he’s just a good lad like… he’s a bit of craic and he comes out when he can’ … but I don’t think that they’d look at me as a footballer, which I really enjoy. And it just means when I’m with them, I can just be myself and just enjoy being one of the lads.

Kelly: So if the manager gives you a day off, what would you do?

Nathan: It depends. If it’s a weekday and it’s good weather, I’ll play golf with a few of the lads here and we’ll get out in the sun.

Kelly: Are you any good?

Nathan: I’m all right. Listen, I can play. I’m not the greatest, but I’m not the worst.

Kelly: Who do you play with here?

Nathan: The group right now is me, Keane Lewis-Potter, Kris Ajer, Hakon Valdimarsson. It’s a good crew because we have a lot of players and we do a little Ryder Cup-style.

Kelly: Oh nice!

Nathan: So it’s staff v players.

Kelly: Wow!

Nathan: Yeah, because there’s a lot of players. We did that last year. We did 18 holes in the morning, we went for some lunch, and then we did 18 holes in the afternoon and it was really good fun. Players won, so thank God!

Kelly: Oh, that was my next question. Have you got any secret hobbies?

Nathan: I like cooking, so that’s something. When I cook, I think I just forget about everything. I’m just in my own little zone and my head kind of goes quiet, which is nice.

Kelly: Are you a good cook?

Nathan: It depends who you ask…

Kelly: If I was asking your girlfriend…

Nathan: Yeah, she’s actually saying: ‘Ah, you’re getting better at cooking!’

Kelly: That’s a bit patronising!

Nathan: Yeah, and I was like… ‘Does that mean I was bad?’

Kelly: Fair enough. What do people get wrong about you the most?

Nathan: Maybe I get a bit of stereotypical: ‘Ah, he’s just a footballer.’ Maybe they get that and then think, ‘oh, he’s actually pretty nice to talk to… he’s all right… he’s kind of relaxed… he’s chill’.

I always want to be just a good person as well. That’s important for me, just to be a nice person, a good person, a caring person. As much as I want to be the best footballer I can ever be, I also want to be the best person I can be and I think that’s something that I always strive towards as well.

Kelly: What’s the toughest moment of your career been? Has there been a tough moment?

Nathan: I had one game for Brentford against Wolves and I had two mistakes in the game. I gave away two goals, we lost 3-1 or something like that and I got battered off the Wolves fans because I’d just left Wolves and the fans had so much to go against me, so much stick. I was like, ‘oh my God, this couldn’t have got any worse’.

To be fair, that night Thomas Frank rang me and he was like, ‘listen Nathan, that’s probably the worst game you’ll ever have in your career’, and he’s like, ‘so it’s only up from here’.

GEM’S GARMS

Gemma Collins flogs her clothes on Vinted after losing 3 stone on Mounjaro

The television icon wrote over it: “I won @paddypowerofficial. Best day ever!,” alongside horse and four leaf clover emojis.

Gemma certainly looked the part at the Cheltenham Festival as she stunned while standing on a balcony with pals.

She kept warm in an eye-catching blue and purple checked coat with brown fur sleeves and a belt which perfectly synched in her waist.

She accessorised with a white and red headscarf and a pair of blacked out sunglasses.

Her winning moment was captured as she enjoyed a glass of bubbly and was hugged by friends surrounding her.

One of those people was Danny Dyer, who was seen throwing up a fist in celebration for the Celebrity Big Brother star.

In true Gemma fashion, she was spotted looking very animated as she celebrated her exciting victory.

Her big win comes after she was announced as part of the line-up for the second series of I’m A Celebrity… South Africa.

The show was filmed last year and will see familiar faces return for a second stint on the hit ITV series.

After it was announced earlier this week, Gemma revealed she nearly pulled out of it but was put in her place by her make-up artist.

Speaking at the press launch, Gemma said: “It didn’t work out for me the first time around in there and ever since it’s been like this black cloud hanging over my head.

“Obviously I’m older now and I just thought, I have to do this. It was one regret that I had that I left.

“I was absolutely bricking it. I was petrified. My makeup artist slapped me at Heathrow Airport because I actually said I don’t think I can actually go through with this.

“But do you know what? I took a deep breath. I went in strong. And to be honest, I think I shut it down.

“It’s not the GC in there. It’s Gemma Collins as you’ve never seen her before. You’ll see me vulnerable in there.

“I was so stripped bare going in there. And because I knew it was so disastrous the time before, I had no chance to back out of any of it.”

“The one thing that troubled me was the copious amounts of washing up,” said Gemma.

“I was on camp duty with Adam and obviously, it was a massive camp, and I’m not going to lie, I’ve got two dishwashers at home.”

ITV viewers will remember Gemma’s meltdown back in 2014 and refusal to get into a helicopter to get into camp on day one.

She was then forced to make her own way to camp, but things went from bad to worse.

After struggling with camp life and the food rations, she sensationally quit the series on day two.
