Jason Segel, Kayla Radomski marry at SoCal’s Huntington

Actor Jason Segel and dancer-actor Kayla Radomski are officially husband and wife, tying the knot three years after striking up a romance.

The pair married over the weekend, Radomski confirmed in a series of photos and videos she reposted Monday to her Instagram stories. Segel and Radomski reportedly married Saturday at the Huntington in San Marino, according to People.

A representative for Segel did not immediately respond on Tuesday to a request for confirmation.

The photos Radomski shared to her Instagram page show herself donning a white, strapless gown adorned with a pink and green floral pattern. One photo that Radomski reshared to her Instagram stories shows Segel in a deep burgundy suit, walking hand-in-hand with Radomski.

“Shrinking” star Segel and “So You Think You Can Dance” alumna Radomski were first spotted together in October 2023 during a date night at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights. They finally debuted their relationship at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, when Segel was nominated for his work in the Apple TV series. The now-newlyweds continued to hit the red carpet at several other Hollywood events including the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards in September and high-profile parties.

“Nothing makes me happier than to stand by your side and see your light shine so bright!!!” Radomski said of Segel in an Instagram post in October amid the Season 2 premiere of “Shrinking.”

In June 2025, Radomski revealed that Segel popped the question and shared photos from their outdoor proposal. For Radomski, it was a “FOREVER YES.”

Prep talk: Baseball players help San Marino’s football team start 6-0

San Marino High first-year football coach Dujuawn “DJ” Jones got smart when he took over the program, searching for the best athletes on campus and getting their friends on the football team to lobby for them to come out.

What’s happened this season is pretty extraordinary. Aided by nearly a dozen baseball players, San Marino’s football team is off to a 6-0 start. The quarterback, Parker Wilson, is the starting catcher for the baseball team. There are also wrestlers, basketball players and track athletes on the team.

The joke is whether the majority of players are talking about the Dodgers or the Rams during practices.

“We try to do some of the teachings more like in baseball terms,” Jones said. “We want our kids to play other sports.”

There are lots of baseball players around the Southland having big seasons playing football, from Capistrano Valley quarterback Talon Spencer to Corona del Mar receiver JJ Haley to Hart running back Matix Frithsmith to La Canada quarterback Joe Bell to Palos Verdes running back Christian Weis.

The only question left to ask regarding San Marino is how many of the football players are visiting the batting cage before practice?

“Right now they’re not missing too much,” Jones said.

If only the baseball players playing the sport 365 days a year knew what fun they are missing out on.

Thursday 1 October Investiture of the Captains Regent in San Marino

There is an old saying that ‘two heads are better than one’. In San Marino that saying is literally taken as a form of government.

In a tradition that dates back to 1243 and based on a custom of the Roman Republic, this tiny republic has not one, but two heads of state.

Known as the Captains Regent, two people are elected every six months by the Grand and General Council, the country’s legislative body.

The two Captain Regent are usually selected from different political parties to give a unique balanced government. Once they have served the six months, they cannot become regents again for another three years.

This may sound a bit bonkers to those of us from countries whose leaders are elected for periods of four or five years, but the roles are mainly symbolic and more like that of a king or queen rather than a president.

Women were prevented from taking public positions in San Marino until 1972. The first female Captains Regent was elected in April 1981.

If you are visiting San Marino on April 1st or October 1st, you can watch the investiture of the new Captains Regent which takes place at the Piazza della Liberta, outside the Government Palace.
