ATOMIC Kitten are being eyed up to star in a Boyzone-style documentary which will chart their rise to fame and the drama among members over the years, The Sun can exclusively reveal.

Kerry, 45, left a year after the release of their debut album and was replaced by Jenny Frost, with the line-up changing several times throughout the last 26 years.
But The Sun understands that telly bosses have started to reach out to the girls to feature in a tell-all documentary – inspired by the success of Boyzone’s three-part Sky film last year – and are keen for all four members to take part.

An insider said: “Atomic Kitten were one of the most successful girl groups of the noughties and it feels like the right time for their story to be told.
“A production company has started reaching out to all four members to appear in a documentary to celebrate their success and of course chart the lows, including the highly publicised fall-outs among the girls.

“Like a lot of their all-female counterparts, line-up changes and public spats are a huge part of their history and this would be their chance to set the record straight once and for all.
“None of the girls have signed on officially yet but Kerry is top of the wish list as she’s known for not holding back.”
The Sun has reached out to representatives for Atomic Kitten and Kerry Katona for comment.
Atomic Kitten last performed as a trio in 2021 but a year later Natasha, 44, and Liz, 45, were gigging as a two-piece.
Then in 2024 Natasha confirmed on social media that she would be stepping down as a member of the group to focus on her solo music career.
She told the Mirror: “I wish Kerry all the best. That girl has been out there. She’s a hustler. She looks after those kids so well. Fair play to the girl.
“There’s no big thing, but when it comes to work, that isn’t going to happen.”
Appearing on Unfiltered with Lucy Kennedy, she said: “No [we’re not in touch]. I’m gutted because I love the girls to bits. Tash, Liz, if you’re watching, give us a call.”
SHE recently hard launched her new man following a turbulent on/off relationship with her Love Island ex Jack Fincham.
But former Towie star Chloe Brockett, 25, might not be ready to reveal everything about Daniel Price just yet. Here, pals tell us why the new romance has raised alarm bells – and the lengths Chloe has been going to to protect him.

We can reveal Chloe made the decision to edit out his ankle tag from pictures of them at a music festival.
An insider said: “Chloe really wants to show people she is happy and has finally moved on from Jack, but there are a few red flags.
“We noticed she had edited out his tag.
“Daniel is well known in and around Essex – he used to date Yasmin Oukhellou– so it’s no secret what he is like.

“Obviously we’re pleased she is having fun but it is a worry because of all the stress she went through before.”
Awkwardly, Chloe and Yaz were arch-enemies during their time on Towie as they clashed over their mutual ex James Lock.
They went on to have a massive feud while filming Ex on the Beach in 2024 having not spoken for four years previously.
Initially, the pair wiped the slate clean, with Chloe acknowledging her behaviour in the past wasn’t great and that she in no way wanted any trouble with Yaz.
But tensions rose as the series developed with Yaz insisting she was “the best bird” James ever had in a blazing row.
Earlier this year, Chloe made it clear she was done with ex Jack, who is now a bareknuckle fighter, after their eighth split.

They had a notoriously turbulent relationship, plenty of rows, and several splits.
He underwent a two-month stay comprising of £32,000 of treatment at Rainford Hall, Merseyside.
Cutting ties, Chloe posted on Instagram: “I want to write this to make this clear and final, me and my ex partner Jack are no longer together and haven’t been for quite some time.
“I want no association with this person, his actions and the things he does.”
A POLL of 2,000 adults found New Zealand, Japan and Australia were the locations the older generation most wished to visit but had never been to.
While Canada, the Maldives and Iceland also feature in the top 10 destinations which remain on bucket lists.

Taking spontaneous trips without overthinking it (21 per cent), going to bucket list destinations (17 per cent) and saying ‘yes’ to adventures rather than prioritising work (14 per cent) are also things over 50s wish they had experienced more.
But it’s not just older people who have travel pangs, with 42 per cent of Gen Z and 47 per cent of Millennials also wishing they had been able to travel more than they have so far.

While seeing the Northern lights tops the once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences they most want to have (41 per cent of Gen Z and 42 per cent of Millennials).
It also emerged 71 per cent of all adults polled are adamant it is never too late to make up for lost time, and many believe seeing new places (37 per cent) or experiencing natural phenomena (18 per cent) will positively impact their lives.
The study was commissioned by Icelandair, which has launched a competition to giveaway tickets to see the next solar eclipse in Iceland – in 170 years – as well as a visit to see the country in September, in a bid to cancel out regrets and reduce FOMO.
A spokesperson for the airline said: “Travel has never been more accessible, but our research shows once-in-a-lifetime experiences still sit firmly on people’s bucket lists and too many never get ticked off, leaving them with regrets about the things they didn’t do.
“We wanted to turn that idea on its head and encourage people to stop putting unforgettable experiences off and go live them.
“And if you’re going to think big, why not think really big? That’s why we’re giving someone the chance to experience the next total solar eclipse visible from Iceland — even though it won’t happen for another 170 years.
“With many often waiting for the right time, it’s a reminder some experiences are worth making happen — whether that’s this year, next year, or something you pass down for generations to come because you never know what might be on the bucket list of your future great-great-grandchildren, or give them the chance to say, ‘I was there.’”
For all adults, a lack of financial security was the top barrier to achieving their travel goals (44 per cent), followed by family responsibilities (24 per cent) and having other priorities that get in the way (22 per cent).
While 19 per cent admitted they are always waiting for the ‘right time’, with this rising to 31 per cent of Gen Zs.
The study, carried out via OnePoll, found the average adult reckons they’ll experience five truly once-in-a-lifetime moments.
But many hope this will increase for their grandchildren’s generation, with 47 per cent hopeful they’ll be able to make the most of life, while 38 per cent want them to enjoy the natural world more.
The spokesperson for Icelandair added: “Travel gives us a great opportunity for lifetime experiences and this week’s eclipse is the perfect reminder to start making those plans.”

Cassie Plummer left Coronation Street on Monday night but her exit has left behind a trail of mystery and now spoilers have revealed what happens next on the ITV soap
Cassie left Coronation Street on Monday night’s episode
Coronation Street spoilers have revealed what happens next following the sudden exit of Cassie Plummer. The former drug addict, played by Claire Sweeney, was introduced when the bosses of the long-running soap decided to completely rewrite history and install her as Tyrone Dobbs’s long-lost biological mum in 2023.
But in scenes that aired on Monday night, Cassie left Weatherfield – seemingly for good – as she chose to get in the car with Ross Wilkes when he offered her a lift to the train station. Introduced last month as the long-lost biological dad of Tyrone, Cassie knew he was trouble as soon as he turned up, but it was only when put under pressure that she revealed that he had paid her for sex when she was underage.
Ross has already made his mark as the latest villain to turn up in the Manchester backstreet, and viewers know that after striking up a relationship with Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford), he spiked her drink and put her in hospital but has let everyone think that Cassie was the one who did it. Cassie announced on Monday that she had got a job cleaning a cruise ship, and was heading to the train station.
Ross offered her a lift, and she accepted. But whilst in the car, Cassie threatened to go to the police about what Ross had done to her all those years ago. She then began to feel unsafe and tried to get out, but he locked the door and told her they were going “on a little drive.” That was the last time Cassie was seen, and Tyrone later announced to Ross that Cassie had left Weatherfield.
Earlier in the day, Fiz had presented Cassie with a photograph of Tyrone and the kids and an envelope full of cash, but at the very end of the episode, Ross took the photo from his pocket and created a mystery about just where Cassie had ended up.
Now, in scenes set to air this coming week, Ross tells Fiz and Tyrone he wants to move nearby, but Fiz quickly closes down the conversation.
Steve asks Ross where he dropped Cassie off, but Ross feigns ignorance until Steve reveals how he saw Cassie get into his car, forcing him to change his story claiming he took her to Piccadilly Station. Also, in scenes yet to air, Ross tells Hope to help herself to a tenner from his wallet but Hope finds something else which leaves Fiz suspicious.
Viewers have instantly become worried that Cassie did not make it to her new job at all, and are concerned that she might even be dead.
One fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Oh s*** is Cassie dead???” and another said: “Cassie getting in the car with Ross, they’re gonna leave us hanging for months over what he’s done to her, I bet!”
A third wrote: “I well like Cassie I’ll be sad if she never comes back,” and, on Reddit, another fan said: ” Feel like he’s deffo killed her. But think they’ve done it this way so that they can bring her back again if they wanted to. “
In real life, actress Claire Sweeney, who found fame when she starred on Brookside, chose to leave so she could take on the role of Miss Hannigan in the current UK tour of the musical Annie, and replaced former Strictly Come Dancing star La Voix in the show in early July.
Claire has previously starred in other musicals like 9 to 5, Tell Me On A Sunday and Chicago. But she recently recently explained that she loved her time at Corrie but always wanted to take on the part of the villainous orphanage proprietress, who has previously been played on stage by the likes of her soap co-star Jodie Prenger, as well as Hi-de-Hi icon Su Pollard, the late Paul O’Grady and British acting legend Sheila Hancock.
She told The Mirror: “You’re part of a family at Coronation Street, you feel safe and protected and leaving is like stepping out into the big, wide world again. It feels like I’ve broken up with a boyfriend I’m still in love with. I’ve loved Corrie and leaving bears no reflection on the job, the people and the work.
“It was just that my phone pinged and it was the producer of Annie saying ‘right, do you want to do Miss Hannigan.’ I’d been hounding him for years for this part and I just thought – ‘if I don’t do it now, it might never come again.’ But I think it’s the hardest job I’ve ever had to leave and my exit is very sad; I had a little weep over my leaving scenes. I got quite emotional.”
LIAM Payne allegedly flew into a drink and drug-fuelled fit of rage in his tragic final hours, according to sex workers who spent the day with the One Direction star.

Now the documents, obtained by the Mail on Sunday, detail harrowing accounts suggesting the singer was on a path to destruction that day.

The pair say they were called to the CasaSur Palermo Hotel by Liam, 31, on the morning before he died and had consensual sex with him.
But they claim that the singer, who was worth £21m, became frustrated when it became difficult to pay for an agreed $5,000 (£3,700) fee as he had no cash.

He allegedly smashed his £30,000 gold Rolex telling them he could “get ten of those,” before punching the hotel room TV three times.
After calming down, he is said to have fallen to his knees and asked the women to stay, claiming that “money didn’t make him happy”.
They say that Liam drunkenly serenaded them with his own songs before asking them for cocaine.
A toxicology report taken after his death revealed that the star had cocaine, alcohol and the powerful sedative Klonopin in his system at the time of the fatal fall.
Liam and Argentinian waiter Braian Nahuel Paiz, who is accused of supplying drugs to the pop starLiam’s close friend Rogelio ‘Roger’ Nores, left, with the former One Direction star in the days leading up to his deathCredit: Unknown
Hotel worker Ezequiel Pereyra, 22, and waiter Braian Paiz, 26, have been charged with supplying the drugs and are awaiting trial.
They spent months in jail but were later released on bail. They deny the charges.
He spent the first two weeks of the trip with girlfriend Kate Cassidy and Argentinian businessman Rogelio ‘Roger’ Nores, 38, and was said to be sober for the entire fortnight.
After Kate returned to Miami on October 14 and Roger also left, Liam is believed to have fallen off the wagon.
He was told to leave the plush five-star Park Hyatt after trashing his room and launching into an alleged drink-fuelled tirade at the staff.
Liam then checked into the more modest, four-star CasaSur Palermo, where he reportedly called the two sex workers.

The women, who investigators treated as key witnesses, alleged Liam contacted one of them via WhatsApp after finding her profile online.
According to their statements, he sent photos of himself in bed at the hotel and a video to prove his identity after one of the women struggled to believe she was speaking to the One Direction star.
They say they arrived at the hotel around 11.30am where they showed their IDs to the front desk before being sent up to Liam’s room.
They said there was a communication barrier as the star only spoke English and they only spoke Spanish, so they relied on a translation app.
They claimed he initially tried to pay by international bank transfer, but they were unable to receive the money.
One woman said: “During our time there, we had sex with him, which was consensual sex, only once, and he wore protection.”
After spending around two hours in the room, the pair said they again asked to be paid the agreed $5,000 (£3,700).
Liam instead offered them his £30,000 gold Rolex, according to the statements.
One woman said: “We told him we only wanted money so he took it and smashed it. He told us he didn’t care about the money.
“And then he broke the TV, he punched it. He made us understand that he could smash everything because he knew he could pay for it.”
The women claimed they decided to leave, but Liam followed them downstairs into the hotel lobby, where they told staff he had smashed the television and refused to pay them.
While waiting in the lobby, they claimed Liam repeatedly paced around the hotel before returning to his room and then coming back downstairs.
The pair later returned briefly to collect belongings they had accidentally left behind.
One recalled: “He apologised for giving us a bad time.”
The women claimed they left shortly before 4pm and where Liam continued to act erratically.
Liam fell to his death at 5.07pm.
Aldana and Lucila only learned of Liam’s death after returning home and scrolling on social media, before police arrived later that evening to take their sworn statements.
WE’VE seen the end of Matty Healy’s messy era with his marriage to Gabbriette Bechtel – and it’s all down to another woman.
That’s the opinion of The Sun’s Howell Davies, who first met the notoriously chaotic rocker over a decade ago.

Our experts have delved into The 1975 frontman’s life story on Showbiz Fix: Uncut, looking at his high school days when the band was first formed, through to worldwide success and that relationship with Taylor Swift.
But our Associate Bizarre Editor Howell believes his marriage to model Gabbriette last week marks the dawn of a new era – and we’ve got Charli XCX to thank.

Chatting on The Sun’s celebrity vodcast, Howell said: “Matty and Gabrielle got together in 2023 but the fun connection is that Gabbriette is actually really good friends with Charli.
“Gabbriette and Charli got to know each other really well on this Netflix show that Charli made where she put together a band called Nasty Cherry and Gabbriette was in this band.

“Charli was sort of there helping them make it in music, she got them a record deal.
“The band didn’t really last very long – but the show is entertaining if anyone wants to go back and watch it.
“But because Charli has been dating Matty’s band mate George for years, eventually Gabbriette and Matty Healy met, through this friend group.”
Charli was never a fan of Matty’s on/off relationship with Taylor and even shaded the US popstar in her own track, Sympathy Is A Knife.
Howell went on: “I think Gabbriette is definitely more approved by Charli than Taylor Swift was, for sure.
“It makes a lot more sense for him to be with Gabbriette
“Fans love it. You know, they’re sort of this edgy, wild card couple who will always be doing weird stuff.
“You know, Gabbriette has a pet rat and you’re like, yeah, that makes sense for Matty.”
Matty and Gabbriette married at the historic Castillo del Lago estate in Los Angeles on July 18.
It came two weeks after his ex’s wedding – with Taylor marrying Travis Kelce on July 3 in New York.
Howell said: “The funny thing about Gabbriette and Matty getting together in 2023, just after his split from Taylor Swift, is it’s almost exactly the same time, almost to the week, that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey got together.
“Then, you know, fast forward three years, they’re getting married two weeks apart.
“So I think there’s stellar competitiveness between Taylor and Matty.”

Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury have revealed a strict parenting rule they have for their daughter Bambi, threeCredit: InstagramThe couple are also parents to baby son MidasCredit: Instagram/Mollymae
Molly-Mae and Tommy have limited three-year-old Bambi to only using screens and technology during long car drives or when travelling abroad.
Boxer Tommy says this decision was made in a bid for the toddler to have a childhood like he did – spent in the outdoors.

He explained: “Speaking for myself and my own children, the only time Bambi sees a screen is during a long flight or a long car journey, when I might put something on for her.
“Other than that, she’s outside in the garden, playing in the sunshine, jumping in puddles and going to the park.
They have strict rules when it comes to screen-time, and say Bambi won’t be getting a phone for a long timeTommy is determined to give the toddler a ‘normal’ upbringing, and one with as little technology as possibleCredit: Instagram/Mollymae
“I try to keep things as normal as possible. I really want Bambi to have a childhood like I did, and my childhood didn’t consist of screens, apps and things like that. I really don’t want that for my children.”
It’s a far cry from Tommy and Molly-Mae’s lifestyles, with the latter boasting a whopping 8.7 million followers on Instagram and often sharing videos to YouTube.
But it’s not the first time they have shared their desire for Bambi, and now Midas, to have a “normal” upbringing.
Doubling down, Tommy assured that while they may have a flashy lifestyle, Bambi won’t be getting her hands on a mobile phone of her own any time soon.
“Having a phone is a massive responsibility.
“There’s a whole new world behind a phone screen, and I think children should fully understand what they’re doing before they get involved with things like that,” he said.
Tommy was talking in a Q&A for his new podcast series, What The Fury?!.
The ten-part video podcast will see the boxer with his dad, John Fury, as they discuss modern life and their differing opinions.
Watch What the Fury?! is on BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport YouTube or available to listen on BBC Sounds from Tuesday 14th July.

Officials responded to reports of a deceased person at Darrell’s home at 2am on April 22, according to a statement from Lake Havasu City Police Department obtained by The U.S. Sun.
He was pronounced dead at the scene after his girlfriend called 911 reporting she had heard a gunshot
Investigators have found a handwritten note hidden inside a black basket in a bathroom closet near where he was found dead.
According to the report, obtained by TMZ, detectives said the note appeared to reference the online abuse Darrell had been facing
Police summarised the message as reading: “I could not take anymore the Facebook bulling, f*** you [redacted]”.
Investigators also noted the handwriting appeared shaky.
The heartbreaking discovery came as cops pieced together Darrell’s final hours, revealing a disturbing picture of stress, sleepless nights and family turmoil before the fatal gunshot.

Darrell’s girlfriend told investigators he had struggled to sleep on the night he died and got out of bed in the early hours before walking into the doorway of his office
She said he told her to “go back to bed” – before moments later a single gunshot rang out.
Police records also reveal growing family tension in the days before his death.
Darrell’s girlfriend said his son had recently visited and the pair became embroiled in a heated argument over “family drama” before he left.
How to get help
EVERY 90 minutes in the UK a life is lost to suicide
It doesn’t discriminate, touching the lives of people in every corner of society – from the homeless and unemployed to builders and doctors, reality stars and footballers.
It’s the biggest killer of people under the age of 35, more deadly than cancer and car crashes.
And men are three times more likely to take their own life than women.
Yet it’s rarely spoken of, a taboo that threatens to continue its deadly rampage unless we all stop and take notice, now.
If you, or anyone you know, needs help dealing with mental health problems, the following organisations provide support:
She claimed the situation worsened after Darrell received text messages from his daughter-in-law accusing her of being suspicious and stealing money from him.
The messages allegedly left the reality star visibly upset.
In a follow-up interview, his girlfriend told detectives the arguments between Darrell and his son became so intense she left the house after the son was yelling at him.
She claimed Darrell later told her he did not want to be alone with his son and had been “sad as hell” following the confrontation, believing he had let him down.
Investigators also revealed Darrell had been battling severe insomnia for months and was under huge pressure in the run-up to his death.
His girlfriend said he often struggled to sleep and was dealing with overwhelming stress – but insisted he had never spoken about harming himself and that their relationship remained strong.
The medical examiner later ruled his death a suicide.
Following the tragedy, his son Brandon Sheets broke his silence with an emotional tribute, calling Darrell “the best dad a son could ask for”.
He also revealed plans to reopen his father’s Arizona store, Show Me Your Junk, to continue the family legacy.
The mention of Facebook bullying in Darrell’s final note has also raised fresh questions, after fellow Storage Wars star Rene Nezhoda previously claimed Darrell had been facing relentless online harassment before his death.
Police investigated the bullying claims as they worked to understand what led to the TV star’s devastating final moments.
Darrell appeared on Storage Wars as a main castmember from 2010 to 2021 and was known as “The Gambler” for his high-risk purchases.
He continued to make appearances on seasons 14 and 15 as a guest buyer before leaving the show for good.
Darrell was joined by his son, Brandon, for nine seasons on Storage Wars.
Darrell also made appearances on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and on Rachael Ray’s cooking show.
After retiring from Storage Wars, he moved to Lake Havasu, Arizona, where he operated an antique shop called Show Me Your Junk.
He previously had health issues, including a heart attack in 2019 that he had surgery to recover from.

Junior and Princess Andre give a joint interview as part of a new series about the life of their mum Katie Price.
19:17, 07 Jul 2026Updated 21:00, 07 Jul 2026
Junior and Princess have had a tough upbringing when mum Katie’s life went off the rails
The emotional children of Katie Price have broken down in tears as they recalled how their mother’s drug use meant she was unable to look after them properly and left them feeling “lonely” and unloved.
Junior, 21, and Princess, 19, have grown up in the spotlight since their parents Katie and Peter Andre split up when they were very young. And they’ve also dealt with the fallout afterwards which saw Katie struggle to cope and at one stage turn to cocaine to try to deal with her problems.
Junior says: “I remember missing her so much. This one time in particular, I was in her bed waiting for her to come back, and I woke up probably 3:30am to some loud noises, and I see her come in the room, and I’ll never forget the look on her face, she was obviously on stuff, right?
“I could see it in her eyes, and I was.. it scared me, because I’ve never seen my mum look like that. She’s there, but she’s not there, you know.”
Junior adds: “She wasn’t in the right headspace, she really wasn’t. And she wasn’t being a mum, she wasn’t being the mum that I knew from when I was a little boy.
“The amount of love she gave me was so immense that that’s what I missed so much. Mum was on drugs, and she could not look after us, and that is the reality of it. She couldn’t.
“And then I got fed up. I clocked on that this was a very unhealthy environment, and I needed to get out. I did leave. I think I was about 14 or 15, Thank God that my dad was stable, because that’s the house that I went to and gained my sanity back, you know.
“While I was wishing and hoping that my mum would come back and turn herself around. It made me feel like I wasn’t good enough, because she wasn’t fixing herself for me.”
His sister Princess says: “She’d give me a blanket, and she sprayed all her perfume on it, and that was like that was my, my attachment to Mum. So I remember after school I used to go home and just feel so like lonely in a way. I used to just cuddle to the blanket and just cry.”
She adds: “I stayed. I always wanted to be there for her, and I always wanted to show her that, like, she has me, she has us, but she didn’t understand that at the time, because she was so hooked up in her own problems.”
The pair, who break down in tears in the joint interview, also say they had to learn how to fend for themselves including making microwave meals and “looking after each other”. In a new Sky documentary series, Katie also is open herself about her drug use in the past. It came around decade after her split from husband Peter Andre in 2009, and coincided with a series of failed relationships including a troubled marriage to Kieran Hayler who she wed in 2013.
“It was the only thing that blocked everything out,” Katie says of drugs thinking back to the worst period of her life. It will take out that pain, it will take out any worry, it will take out the noise.”
She was regularly using cocaine and staying out late and not putting her family first. Looking back she says: “When I hear what the kids, how they saw it, it breaks my heart. But they were still always looked after, I still had people around me looking after them, like helping me.
“But that’s not good enough. Kids need their mum, kids need their mum’s love, their mum’s hugs, and I thought I was given that, but obviously I wasn’t. It must have been horrible for them, horrible for them, and I’m just sorry to them that I put them through that and thought I was doing the best I could with them, but what could I have done?
“I was unwell. I couldn’t even look after myself. I was more than rock bottom. I didn’t want to be. I wanted to die. I felt worthless, suicidal thoughts all the time.”
After one night of taking drugs and drinking, she crashed her car whilst feeling suicidal in September 2021. At the crash scene before being taken to the hospital, and then a police station, she had told her mum she “wanted to be out of it”.
“I remember when they put me in a cell it was like peace. Peace and quiet. I found that quite comforting. It is quite sad to think that,” She recalls.
Thankfully she also credits six weeks in The Priory after this incident with saving her life and helping her to learn to look after herself in a better way. Her relationship with Junior and Princess has improved as a result.
The new documentary covers the whole 30 year career of Katie, beginning as a glamour model who at her peak could command six figure fees for photoshoots or appearances on shows like I’m A Celebrity, where she met Peter Andre in 2004.
But since then she has been made bankrupt and is less in-demand to be on TV.
She is currently married to Dubai businessman Lee Andrews and her family express their shock on screen at the fact she again married someone in January she had known for just weeks.
On the documentary her stepdad Paul Price recalls a conversation he had before her fourth marriage.
“I said what’s she going to Dubai for? ‘To see a bloke’. I said ‘what’s the catch?’ And then we find out she’s getting married. I said ‘you’re off your head’. And then the geezer is in the paper pretending to be a millionaire.”
Asked if he was angry with her, Paul replies: “100 percent”.
Son Junior adds: “This is the most silliest stupidest thing, marrying a guy she doesn’t even know. This is my mum, this is what she does.”
Her mum Amy Price ends the film with a simple dream that her daughter will fine happiness and less drama in her life at some stage as she gets older.
Amy says: “In some ways, she’s still like a child. But she’s a good daughter. I hope she really does find someone to love and be happy.”

Queen of the £9.50 holiday Tracy Kennedy is back to answer all things holiday parksCredit: Paul Tonge
Ahead of the new drop of holidays, our Hols from £9.50 Agony Aunt Tracy Kennedy is here to answer your questions.
Tracy Kennedy has been taking £9.50 holidays for 30 years, and has tried and tested holiday parks everywhere from the Isle of Wight to Wales, and nearly 300,000 follow her advice online about taking The Sun’s budget breaks.
This week, she is answering everything from how to actually book yourself a £9.50 holiday, to the most peaceful holiday parks with walking trails.
You can ask Tracy your own question by filling out the form. As we release each Q&A with Tracy, one lucky reader will be picked to win a £100 Amazon voucher.
Are there any more ways to get a £9.50 holiday this year?
Skye Sinclair
Yes, there is! There is another lot of £9.50 holidays coming in July.
Sun Club members can book from one minute past midnight on July 7, and people collecting codes will be able to book from Wednesday July 8.
If you’ve never done a £9.50 holiday before, there are a few different ways to do it.
You can collect the codes that will appear in the newspaper each day, or join Sun Club (£1.99 per month) and book without having to buy the paper and collect the codes.
Before all of this, make sure to go and have a look on the £9.50 holiday website to see which parks are available that you’d like to go to.
The holidays start from £9.50 per person, and yes you can really book them for that cheap.
Then it’s up to you if you want to upgrade your accommodation or add on any passes.
So your cheapest holiday for a family of four would be £38 – I have never found a holiday online any cheaper than that!
New holidays will become available on the Hols from £9.50 site on July 8, or July 7 for Sun Club membersCredit: TripAdvisor
Do you have regular go to easy meals that you like to make when you go on holiday in a caravan?
Emma Bush
I cook quite a lot when I go away on holiday, and if I’m going to be cooking, it’s got to be quick and easy.
No roast dinners or fancy meals here – some people in my group do that in their caravans, and I think it’s great!
But for me I always bring cupboard foods like pasta and sauces, so that I always have something quick and easy to cook.
Another one of my favourites is hot dogs. They take just minutes to make and will cost you far less than any of the fancy, expensive ones they sell on-site.
Most caravans will come with a fully-equipped kitchen with microwaves, hobs and a full oven, so you might as well make use of them and save yourself some money.
Another one of my favourite quick and easy meals to make is grabbing a hot rotisserie chicken from the supermarket and serving it with some potatoes and salad.
It’s very simple and you can do so much with the leftovers.
Tracy recommends a stay at Lyons Robin Hood for a peaceful park with beach access and walksCredit: Supplied
Which holiday parks are ideal for the elderly? Something quiet with some nice dog walks?
Charlotte Varns
My top tip for finding a quiet park is to go on holiday during school term time.
That way the parks will be much quieter, and you’ll often get a better deal outside of the school holidays, too.
In terms of specific parks, a few come to mind. North Wales is lovely and has some beautiful walks, so I’d recommend a few of the parks there.
Ty Mawr, Lyons Lido Beach and Golden Sands Rhyl are other options which all have beautiful coastal walks nearby.
Outside of Wales, I think Cherry Tree in Norfolk is a lovely option. Norfolk is very flat, so you can get out for walks and it won’t be too challenging.
Are the entertainment passes included, or do you buy them additionally?
Jonathan Smith
Usually the entertainment passes are additional add-ons.
But my secret tip would be to check online first, as there are actually some £9.50 parks that will include your entertainment passes in the price on certain dates.
Park Holidays Pakefield offers club room passes for free for all dates. Park Holidays Sand Le Mere also offers the same.
Make sure to research this ahead of time, as lots of other parks will also offer free passes for specific dates.
Tracy recommends Lower Hyde holiday park in Shanklin, which has a beach with a lift nearbyCredit: Parkdean Resorts
What are your recommendations for the most accessible sites?
Tracey Layton
Firstly, always make sure to call your holiday park and let them know that you will need an accessible caravan.
Lower Hyde in Shanklin is a great option, and if you’d like to go out and visit the beach there’s even a lift that takes you down to the seafront.
Plus to get to the beach lift from Lower Hyde, the ground is completely flat.
I’d also recommend Camber Sands holiday park. It’s a beautiful site that is also very flat, and you’ll have the beach right on your doorstep.
Some places across the UK have also started offering beach wheelchairs for hire.
If you’re wanting to visit a beachfront holiday park, I’d recommend looking up if the local beaches offer this.

Worst Neighbor Ever is now available to stream on Netflix

The chilling calls to emergency services after a huge insurance scam explosion have been revealed in a brutal true crime documentary series.
This week, Netflix dropped anthology series Worst Neighbor Ever, which follows on from Worst Ex Ever and Worst Roommate Ever.
This time, it explores real life neighbour disputes that take a fatal turn. Plunging viewers into a series of events including intimidation and violence, it uses real life bodycam footage and CCTV to highlight what occurred.
As well as hearing heartbreaking accounts from victims, the true crime series also stands out with its use of animated re-enactments to tell the stories.
An official synopsis reads: “You think you know your neighbors? Think again. This new series features firsthand accounts of violence, intimidation, and harassment that are more shocking than ever.
“Through compelling testimonials, startling body cam footage, and animated reenactments, Worst Neighbor Ever proves the people next door aren’t just a nuisance – they’re lethal.”
The second episode plunges viewers back to 2012 when a huge explosion wreaked devastation on one tight knit community in Indiana. On November 10, 2012, Monserrate ‘Moncy’ Shirley’s home exploded, leaving two people in the vicinity dead and many others injured, destroying dozens of homes.
But when investigators find the real cause, lives were changed forever. The episode hears from the neighbours who were at home that evening as well as revealing what Moncy was really like, as well as her new boyfriend at the time Mark Leonard.
Following the huge explosion, one neighbour can be heard saying: “At first, we thought we were being bombed. Our whole house lifted up off the foundation.”
Another said: “It was like one of those mortar fireworks going off right next to your house.”
Showing chilling video footage of the explosion and the flames, the documentary also showcased some of the heartbreaking calls made to the emergency services.
In one phone call, a neighbour said: “Something literally just exploded”, as another asked: “What just happened?” A third said: “We had a large boom, I don’t know if it was a bomb, a gun went off or what.”
Detailing the aftermath, one resident said: “The flames were just massive. The street looked like it had snowed, but this bright light of fire is in the distance.”
A call between emergency services continued: “We’ve had an explosion at a house, we’re going to need medics, IFD, it’s going to be a major incident control.”
The episode explores how Moncy, her boyfriend Mark and his brother had plotted to start a fire that would result in an insurance payout, however, their plan resulted in a huge explosion that wreaked devastation for years afterwards.
WITH a wardrobe to envy Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw, lifestyle influencer Amelia Liana appeared to be the ultimate single girl.
But her carefully curated “single girl” persona was shattered this week when she published her YouTube vlog on Sunday night, titled: “I GOT MARRIED!!!!”

Amelia stunned fans when she revealed she had secretly married after months of presenting herself as single onlineCredit: instagram/@amelialianaJust weeks before announcing her wedding, Amelia was sharing advice about life as a single woman in her thirtiesCredit: supplied/youtube The YouTube star secretly married in May before finally breaking the news to her stunned followersCredit: instagram/@amelialianaThe influencer shared stunning snaps from her big day after tying the knot in one of London’s most exclusive venuesCredit: instagram/@amelialiana
After all, Amelia, 34, who shares every inch of her life online, was not wearing an engagement ring – let alone mentioning that she had a boyfriend.
Only two months ago she posted a video on her YouTube account titled: “Single in my 30s and life update.”
So for the two million followers she calls “family”, it came as a huge shock.
London-born Amelia Liana launched her YouTube in 2013 and has since grown on TikTok and Instagram – publishing her luxury lifestyle which includes running “boujie errands” such as picking up jewellery at Cartier.
Amelia initially kept her groom’s identity under wrapsCredit: instagram/@amelialianaAmelia built her career by sharing every detail of her life online – making her secret marriage all the more surprisingCredit: youtube/@amelialiana
In her reveal video on Sunday, Amelia did little to quell her followers’ thirst to know about her marriage—and, more to the point, her new man.
The description read: “Surprise! We skipped a chapter! I’ve been keeping a little secret and I couldn’t wait to tell you that I got married!”
Sat in her “shroom” [shoe room] in her multi-million London townhouse, Amelia said: “This is going to make me really emotional saying this because I feel like you guys are family – I couldn’t wait to tell you.”
She added: “I decided that the next relationship I shared online was going to be my husband. This is definitely the best relationship I have ever been in, in my life and that’s why I married him.
“Some people predicted that I was getting married or something was going on because there were a lot of men’s shoes around.”
Of keeping her marriage under wraps, she said: “I couldn’t cut so much footage because there was a lot of footage already being cut because I kept forgetting to take off my ring.
“I think a lot of people on TikTok spotted it because I forgot to cut out my ring in a video and it was up for like half an hour and then I deleted it and reposted it because that was not supposed to be how I wanted to tell you.”
However I can reveal that Amelia has tied the knot with a 41-year-old high-flying CEO named Michael.
Followers accused Amelia of living a ‘double life’ after revealing her secret marriageCredit: instagram/@amelialianaAmelia enjoyed her honeymoon with her new man to GreeceCredit: instagram/@amelialiana
The marriage took place on May 19 at Chelsea Old Town Hall on the King’s Road in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
Her new husband who speaks English and German, and is the CEO of a multinational brand.
Amelia and her new man have also chosen not to follow each other on Instagram.
The couple are understood to have also had a ceremony at Spencer House in London’s St James’s with family and friends.
The Great Room, which overlooks Green Park, costs between £13,750 and £15,000 to hire.
She is also believed to have held her reception at London’s five-star hotel Claridge’s which can cost up to £30,000 with food and drinks included.
Amelia requested that her wedding planner organise an Alfonso mango stand at the reception.
She also had a traditional henna party which included fellow influencers Suzie Bonaldi and Audrey Peters – instead of having bridesmaids.
In true Amelia style, her bridal party – including sister Hannah and mum Carol – got ready in the £6,000-a-night room, The Dorchester Suite, at the five-star hotel overlooking Hyde Park.
Meanwhile I have heard that the couple honeymooned at the five-star Amanzoe resort in Greece.
A pool pavilion room at the resort costs around £3,542 per night and includes a 19ft private pool and views of the Aegean Sea.
The stay includes complimentary movements classes including Pilates and yoga as well as daily breakfast.
Of the wedding, a friend said: “It was a really fantastic day. Amelia couldn’t be happier. They had 200 of her closest friends and family there – and she, luckily, timed the weather well.
“It was just before the full heatwave – and was a glorious sunny day…without being too hot! She and her husband have known each other a long time – and got engaged last year.
“They actually had their formal marriage a few weeks before posting. Now, happily married, Amelia’s looking forward to getting back to work with a renewed sense of vigour – after being absolutely blown away by the reaction to her wedding videos.
“She never thought there would be so much traction from them – but those vids have already amassed more than 65 million views, which is incredible. That has been yet another boost for her – and has really rounded off a perfect few weeks.”
Amelia has so far shared 20 posts about her wedding with her 595,000 Instagram followers—with no groom in sight.
She has also set up an Instagram broadcast channel called “AL Club” to constantly keep her followers interested in the wedding.
Of what she looks for in a partner, she previously said: “I need a man that is secure. Not an insecure man – a secure man.
“If you are an insecure man – and I have had experience in this – you are going to resent me, resent my success.”
She added: “So I need a man that is secure.”
One fan said: “SINGLE IN MY 30S” two months ago. What was the point in all the long vents about how “behind in life you are” and repeating you’re single over and over…
In 2019 Amelia announced that she has split from her fiance known as “Robert” in an emotional Youtube video.
It came after Amelia documented her engagement party after announcing the proposal in December 2018.
She went on to date family friend Jak Serr – the son of BBC Apprentice star and entrepreneur Linda Plant.
The pair documented their relationship with TikTok videos but Amelia confirmed in 2024 that the pair had transitioned back to a friendship.

June 26 (UPI) — Britain’s King Charles III paid $17.2 million in taxes in 2024-25 and almost $40 million since he ascended the throne in 2022, according to the first ever tax statement published by the crown.
The British monarch has no tax liability in law, but both the then-Prince Charles and the late Queen Elizabeth II began paying voluntarily in 1993.
The palace said in a news release Thursday that the move to release the sovereign’s personal tax bill — but not his tax return — together with a statement detailing income sources was “part of the Royal Household’s commitment to transparency.”
The Royal Household’s annual financial statement shows Prince William paid a little over $10.3 million in taxes in 2024-25, bringing the total father and son paid to His Majesty’s Revenue & Customs to more than $66 million since September 2022.
Charles’ effective rate of tax remains unknown because the only source of income provided is $33.7 million revenue from his Duchy of Lancaster, a private estate that has provided the reigning monarch’s personal income since 1399, out of which other working members of the royal family are paid.
Same for William, who earned $28.5 million in revenue from his Duchy of Cornwall, out of which he pays his own way for himself and his family.
William’s duchy, which he inherited from his father, was worth $1.59 billion, while the King’s had assets of $911 million. Neither can benefit from sales of assets belonging to their respective estates.
Taxation experts said the releases did little to increase the transparency they were billed as providing.
Dan Neidle of Tax Policy Associates told the BBC that the King’s affairs remained “highly opaque”.
“We don’t know how much of that is capital gains tax, how much is income tax. Very importantly, we don’t know what expenses he’s deducted to come up with the figure on which he pays the tax,” he explained.
At the same time, the Sovereign Grant for the financial year ended March 31, money the government pays each year to fund the monarch’s official duties, the travel of working members of the royal family, and running and maintaining the main five royal palaces and castles, rose to $174.6 million after remaining flat for the past four years.
More than half, $88.2 million, went on maintaining and “reservicing” the royal real estate, according to the Sovereign Grant Statement.
The grant will rise to $182.4 million in the current financial year, which started April 1, but the rise is a one-off to cover the final year of a 10-year, $489.4 million modernization program for Buckingham Palace, and will thereafter be pegged at $132.2 million a year through 2032.
The grant is a fixed share — 12% — of the profit generated over the two previous financial years by the Crown Estate, a sprawling $16 billion business, real estate and land portfolio that technically belongs to the monarch but was surrendered to parliament in 1760.
Keeper of the Privy Purse, James Chalmers, pointed to the stability afforded by previous reigns during periods of historic transition, saying today’s monarchy was continuing to adapt to meet the challenges of the modern world where the Royal Family’s “soft” diplomacy was ever more valuable.
“So, while much changes, our central principles remain: to deliver value for money and to support the Royal Family as they seek to help shape a better world, here in the United Kingdom, across the Commonwealth and beyond,” he said.
“While Royal finances can sometimes appear complex, the underlying system is clear in principle, structured in law and refined over time to ensure the Monarch can serve with independence, accountability and in the long-term interests of the nation,” added Chalmers.
The king also used the news release to announce that, despite the costly refurbishment, he and Queen Camilla will never live at Buckingham Palace — the iconic official royal residence since Queen Victoria made it her home in 1837 — although it will continue to be used for official events and engagements and will be opened to the public.
King Charles’ preferred royal residence is the nearby Clarence House.

A Wizz Air flight attendant explained why cabin crew greet passengers and revealed that they use ‘secret codes’ when everyone is boarding

A cabin crew instructor has revealed that flight attendants often use a ‘secret code’ when greeting passengers. As most travellers know, it’s common to be greeted by cabin crew when boarding a flight. Whether you’re excited for your holiday or a nervous flyer, it’s reassuring to be met by a friendly face and know there’s help available as you find your seat and get ready for takeoff.
While crew members enjoy welcoming passengers on board as part of their service, there’s another important reason passengers are greeted at the door, and it might surprise some. Gabriel Randone, a Wizz Air Cabin Crew Instructor, told the Mirror that flight attendants are trained to greet passengers as part of their safety measures.
He explained that cabin crew complete a “mental scan of passengers” to ensure that everybody is fit to fly. What’s more, he says cabin crew are taught a secret acronym that they check during the process.
While Gabriel couldn’t reveal all of the details, as the acronym is not shared with passengers, he did explain what cabin crew would be looking for. For instance, cabin crew will check whether anyone appears aggressive or intoxicated. They’ll also keep an eye out for any medical conditions that could prevent someone from flying. “The goal is safety,” Gabriel said.
Any passengers seated near the emergency exit rows will also spot cabin crew hanging around in the area for similar reasons, Gabriel said. The instructor explained that the crew are trained to assess passengers, as some “categories of passengers” can’t be seated next to the emergency exit.
While many passengers might try to book the emergency exit rows, as they are classified as extra-legroom seats, Wizz Air’s website makes it clear that they are not suitable for all passengers.
The airline’s website states: “For safety purposes, regulations prohibit passengers under 16 years old, overweight passengers, individuals with special needs, expectant mothers, and those travelling with infants (under two years old) from occupying Extra Legroom or Front Row seats.”
Passengers seated in these rows must be able to open the exits in case of an emergency, and they receive a briefing that makes this clear. This protocol is so important that if nobody books the seat, the cabin crew will find a volunteer to move there.
“Sometimes, because the flights might not be fully booked, there would be no one close to the emergency exits”, Gabriel explained. “So what we need to do is to select someone who we call an ABP, an able-bodied person, and select them and to move them close to the emergency exits so that they can help out in case of an emergency”.
In the event of an emergency, the passenger would need to detach the safety cover from the door and pull a lever to open it. As Gabriel explained, every second counts in an emergency. “In an emergency, our priority is to get you out as quickly as possible,” he said. “We only have 90 seconds to evacuate a full cabin with 239 passengers.”

As Coronation Street revealed it was Sarah who killed Theo on Monday, actress Tina O’Brien addressed whether she could be leaving the ITV soap and her reaction to the twist
Coronation Street revealed it was Sarah who killed Theo on Monday(Image: ITV)
Coronation Street’s Sarah Platt has been exposed as Theo Silverton’s killer.
Now, actress Tina O’Brien, who has played the character since 1999, has addressed whether she’s about to bow out for good. Flashbacks during Monday’s episode confirmed what really happened to Theo, and who was to blame.
We saw Sarah accidentally killing Theo after he turned sinister. As he threatened her, she shoved him before hitting him over the head with a metal pole, leading to him plummeting off the scaffolding.
In the fallout, Sarah will be desperate to cover her tracks. But will she be caught out, and could it lead to a prison stint, or possibly a permanent exit from the ITV soap after after nearly 30 years in the role?
Tina shared: “It’s not just about her now, it’s about her family and her son, and there are times when she can’t cope with the pressure and you think she’s just going to hand herself in. And then she thinks about her son growing up without a mum, if she’s convicted and can’t prove she acted in self defence.
“And because of those things, she’s so desperate to do whatever it takes to be part of her family’s life.” It was her ex Gary that she frantically called for help, with him now keeping her secret.
With Gary’s rivalry with Sarah’s partner Kit Green now at boiling point, Tina explained why Sarah told Gary and not detective Kit. She said: “I think she absolutely went into panic mode, shocked, stunned and numb. She obviously didn’t know what to do, she didn’t know how to react and in that moment she thought, I can’t call Kit because of his job in the police.
“And so in that moment, she thought who can I call and it was Gary. There’s a lot of guilt there and I think also, selfishly, she feels like she’s ruined her chance with Kit, because if he knows what she’s done, he might not want her anymore and she so wanted him to be her future.”
This isn’t the first time Sarah has been caught up in a murder plot. Fans will recall that back in 2015, Sarah’s sister-in-law Kylie Platt murdered Sarah’s love interest Callum Logan. Callum had tried to attack Sarah, leading to Kylie killing him with a wrench.
Sarah and Kylie, with the help of Sarah’s brother David Platt, covered up the crime, and buried the body under their house. Sarah’s mental health spiralled in the fallout, and she was admitted to a psychiatric unit for treatment.
With Sarah caught up in another murder, Tina said this time her character could face prison. She teased: “If she’d have called the police straight away and explained what happened, she would have been in a much better situation, because it was clearly not pre-meditated, it was a situation where she felt she had no other choice.
“But to cover it up, to actively cover something up, she knows that she crossed a line that she can’t come back from.” She added on exit fears: “I genuinely didn’t worry, at the end of the day this job is incredible, but to be an actor is not necessarily a job for life. So, I just was really excited to be given the honour of being the murderer, and then hopefully, however it plays out, I’ll enjoy Sarah’s arc.”
So does this hint that Sarah will stick around? After keeping quiet for months, Tina shared: “I’ve literally been a big bag of nerves. It’s been so difficult, I told my mum and I just recently told my daughter Scarlett and my son Beau. You’re seeing all the chat on social media, everyone’s saying I think this, and I think that.
“Actually filming these scenes the weeks after have been the hardest thing I’ve ever filmed because I felt like my face looked guilty constantly and I thought everyone’s going to know it’s me instantly.”
It came as no surprise to Tina though that Sarah killed Theo. She explained: “I completely understand how it happened, why it happened. For me to get into her character and her head, I feel like in that moment, she didn’t feel like she had any other choice.”
IT’S been five years since Britney Spears was released from her conservatorship following the Free Britney campaign, but insiders say the pop superstar is more lost than ever.

It’s a far cry from the 16-year-old who took over the world in 1998 with her debut single Baby One More Time, which catapulted her to instant worldwide fame.
An insider said: “Some people close to Britney can’t help wondering whether she’s actually happier now than she was then.
“The sad reality is that she seems incredibly isolated. She spends most of her time at home and her world has become smaller and smaller over the years.

“Those around her would love to see her thriving, but instead they worry she’s become increasingly detached from everyone else.”
In 2023, Britney split from her third husband Sam Asghari – less than a year after tying the knot – and we’re told the break-up had a huge impact on the mum-of-two.
She shares Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, with ex-husband Kevin Federline and has struggled with a strained relationship with her sons for years.
Our source said: “The divorce hit her hard and she hasn’t appeared to find the stability or companionship she craves and desperately needs.
“Her relationship with her sons has also been a source of sadness over the years, and those closest to her know how much that weighs on her.
“People are worried rather than reassured, especially when they see her on social media. The videos and posts leave people concerned and scratching their heads, it looks like we’re seeing someone who is still struggling.”
Despite being one of the best-selling music artists of all time, Britney left fans gutted in 2022 when she insisted she’ll “probably never perform again”.
She said on social media at the time: “I’m pretty traumatized for life and yes I’m p****d as f**k and no I probably won’t perform again just because I’m stubborn and I will make my point.”
And it’s the lack of ambition for performing – something she once thrived on – that has pals seriously concerned and wondering what she’ll do with her life if she doesn’t return to the stage.
“The overwhelming feeling among those who care about her is sadness,” our insider said. “Nobody is questioning her right to live life on her own terms, but there are fears that she’s still searching for happiness and hasn’t found the peace that everyone hoped freedom would bring.
“They look at Britney and see a woman who appears deeply lonely, increasingly disconnected and still trying to find her place in the world all these years later.”
AIRPORT terminals – love them or hate them, you’ll find yourself killing time in one before your next holiday.
According to a study by YouGov in 2023, the average Brit spends as much as £20 before a flight, with common items being perfumes, alcohol and food gifts.
Our favourite (and worst) ways to waste time at the airport revealedCredit: AlamyThe Sun’s Head of Travel, Lisa Minot (left), with her family, at the only part of the airport she enjoys – the bar
Yet while some people enjoy a perusal of the aisles, others are more reluctant to.
While bargains can be found at Duty Free, you’ll find your cup of coffee or morning breakfast a lot more expensive than outside the airport – making your holiday more expensive before you even get on the plane.
The discussion of enjoying the airport terminal has divided even the Sun Travel team.
Here we share our biggest bugbears, best ways to spend a few hours at the airport, the freebies you can bag while there and the handful of duty-free items that are actually worth buying.
Lisa Minot, Head of Travel
As per usual, I am late. Airport security is a nightmare. Endless lines of stressed passengers are corralled into a hot, suffocating pen, awaiting the conveyor belts of doom.
I roll my eyes as my perfectly acceptable hand luggage is sent down the reject lane – and I stand fuming, knowing there’s nothing wrong with it. After another ten minutes and a ‘random check’, I am finally free to enter departures.
I am hot, bothered and hating life. So what could possibly be worse?
The winding ‘hell-no brick road’ through the World of Duty Free with its cloying perfume sprays, overpriced make-up and endless rows of ‘designer’ sunglasses.
Travellers slow to a snail’s pace as the brightly-coloured displays tempt them. And as I try to accelerate through the dawdlers, I get a full-on spray of aftershave in the face as the sales staff accost yet another unlucky victim.
Round and round we go. Past overpriced beauty brands I’ve never heard of – and will never be able to justify the price. Past rows of Union Jack tat and extortionate Fortnum and Mason biscuits.
Rounding another corner, there’s yet more retail hell – overpriced sweets and costume jewellery you know will probably disintegrate before you’ve settled into your airplane seat.
Finally, after what feels like an eternity, I’m spat out into the departure lounge. Except more retail hell awaits.
No, I don’t want a pair of overpriced shoes. I don’t need a ‘just in case’ shawl or a tech gadget promising to ‘transform’ my flight. I just want to sit down.
It’s bad enough I’m stuck in this soulless cavern, but the endless assault on my wallet is exhausting.
If I have forgotten something, God forbid, I’d much rather buy it at my destination. At least there it might have some meaning.
The lone sanctuary in the chaos. The one place where I can enjoy a cheeky albeit overpriced drink.
And as I finally sink into a chair to do a spot of people watching, the rage fades.
It might be twice the price of my local, but I’m jetting off… and this is my little slice of airport heaven.
BEST FREE ITEMS AT AIRPORTS
We’ve rounded up some of the best free items at airports, in you’re the type of person who likes to get there early…
Grab a ‘free suncream’ at the airport
Before you travel, get the Recycle at Boots app and find five empty health or beauty items that can’t go in your kerbside recycling collection, like electric toothbrush heads or toothpaste tubes.
Take a quick snap of them and upload them to the app. Once they’ve been added, you can bag them up and drop them in the collection point at your nearest participating Boots, before scanning the QR code on the side of the box for a voucher to claim £5 worth of Advantage Card points when you spend £10.
If you store up your points until you get through airport security, you can spend them on suncream at Boots airside.
I got a bottle of Soltan at Stansted for £6.05, so you’ll need more points than you get in one recycling transaction, but there’s nothing to stop you doing it several times and getting lots of points on your card, ready to spend at the airport.
Local drop-off prices or free
Residents who live near Stansted Airport can pay a reduced charge at the express set down at the terminal of either 50p or £1 for up to 15 minutes, depending on whether they live within five miles or 10 miles.
There are similar schemes at other regional airports like Edinburgh and Manchester, which means that if you live near an airport or have family and friends who do, you might be able to avoid paying for airport parking.
If you want to eat something a bit more substantial before your flight, it’s often the case that chains likePizza Expressexclude their airport branches from popular deals and discounts.
Free glossy magazines
Did you know that many airports have free magazine stands?
They can often be found in the corridors when you are travelling to your gate, or even after you have gone through the gate agent and are waiting to board.
They vary depending on which ones they have so you can’t always be fussy.
On a recent flight, we’ve managed to pick up Wallpaper* magazine, as well as Escapism, Condé Nast Traveller and Stylist.
Kids eat free
Certain large airports like Heathrow operate a kids-eat-free policy at some of their restaurants during the school holidays.
So if an adult chooses an item from the main menu, your kids can eat for free.
Restaurants that have previously taken part at Heathrow include Giraffe, Wild Olive and The Grove.
Let the kids run wild in soft play
Plenty of UK airports have soft play areas and games zones in their terminals so kids can burn off some energy before boarding.
While some of them are pretty basic, some at airports like Heathrow are good enough that you’d pay a few quid for entry into the outside world.
There are only a handful of real bargains to be found at Airport Duty FreeCredit: GettyThe Sun’s Deputy Travel Editor Kara Godfrey enjoying a spot of duty-free airport shopping
Deputy Travel Editor, Kara Godfrey
‘We don’t need to be so early to the airport, Kara,’ my friends often moan at me when I turn up three hours early for a flight to Spain.
They, however, are wrong – the beauty of a holiday starts at the airport.
In fact, it’s one of the most exciting bits of my trip, especially when travelling through some of our London airports, which, dare I say it, are some of the finest in Europe.
There is something to be said for being stuck within the walls of a terminal where there is nothing else to do but explore the shops – you can’t go back through security, and you can’t go to your gate.
If it’s an early morning flight, I embrace my overpriced Pret coffee, often chased by a just as expensive cheese turnover to keep me going.
I’ll check the time for my gate to be revealed (often at least 1hr30, with how early I arrive), and that’s when the fun starts.
I peruse Waterstones, picking up a new book that I forgot to pack myself but will inevitably never read, opting to pass out as soon as I get on the plane.
There’s the swimsuit I also forgot to pack that I must pick up from Accesorize, before being tempted into some new earrings, where I shall return from the trip with just one of them.
And I’ve been burnt before by inedible economy meals, so my trip to Boots is a must, picking up the same Meal Deal as always – Elderflower and Mint CBD drink, Korean Fried Chicken Rice Bowl and a Big Bag of Hula Hoops.
All of that, and I still have time to perhaps try some of the designer beauty products I can only dream of affording, but will happily smear samples on my wrists and neck.
How people hate the airport experience is beyond me – I simply say you aren’t doing it right.
I will never be that person you see frantically running through the airport, face frazzled as they barely make their flight.
For I, with my coffee, book and earrings to join me, settle in with another hour to kill while calmly waiting to board.
Who needs spa treatments when you have an airport terminal to peruse?
Our anonymous flight attendant blogger reveals which items you should never buy at airports and how you can find the best bargains before your flights.
The worst offender for thisis chocolate– no matter which airport you’re in, you’ll be ripped off for it.
And the worst thing is, it’s not even good chocolate – it’s run-of-the-mill, ordinary stuff that you can find in shops everywhere.
It’s also often in novelty-sized bars or massive tubs that are both far too big and cost an absolute fortune.
It’s such a false economy, and I don’t understand why no one’s figured that out yet.
Perfume is generally the same – you can find the bottles for the same price online.
That’s not to say therearen’t bargainsto be found if you know where to look.
Avoid the stuff that’s in the centre ofthe duty-free shop, and instead look at the shelves until you find the discounts or clearance sections.
They don’t always exist, but a lot of airports have them, often hidden on a small shelf that’s not immediately noticeable.
That’s where your bargains can be found.
The only other item I would say is worth buying at the airport is local booze, if you want to bring something back as a gift or souvenir.
The best places for that, in my opinion, are South Africa and South America, where you can get their local drinks for great prices at the airport – meaning you don’t have to buy it then carry it for the rest of your holiday.
JUST two weeks ago, Tina O’Brien was waxing lyrical about going on her first solo holiday as she embraced single life for the first time in years.
It turned out to be rather short-lived, though, as yesterday the Corrie star was spotted kissing a hunky new man in the street. Now, insiders tell us why her latest fling – with Irish TikToker Rory Martin – has sparked concern amongst her inner circle, who fear her new beau might have an ulterior motive.

Our insider said: “Tina was genuinely trying to enjoy some time on her own after her recent split, but she has really fallen for Rory’s Irish charm.
“Rory is no stranger to hanging out with famous women – he was linked to Una Healey last year and has gained a bit of a reputation for being a ladies’ man.
“He loves TikTok fame and will really be enjoying the attention he’ll be getting off the back of dating Tina.
“It’s worrying for her friends, because they don’t want to feel like she is being used.
“Tina is someone who loves love and enjoys being caught up in the whirlwind of it all, and they just don’t want her to rush into anything.”
While her last ex, Adam Fadle, disliked the limelight, Rory, in contrast, is said to be very taken with her high profile.
We’re told Tina now lives in a very well-known area where paps often frequent, so it’s unlikely to have come as a surprise to her that they were photographed.
It’s thought Tina, 42, actually met Rory, 30, through her daughter, 17-year-old Scarlett, who she shares with ex Ryan Thomas.
They are said to have connected through the music world. Rory also dabbles in singing and guitar playing, as well as doing social media.
He also works for the ambulance service – but is believed to be in the call centre rather than working as a paramedic, as his social media would suggest.
Our source continued: “People think Rory is some kind of sexy paramedic, but the reality is much less glamorous.
“He really plays up to it in his social media because he knows his thirst traps in his uniform attract both women and men to him.”
Last June, Rory surprised fans by posting a video of him singing with Saturday’s star Una in a kitchen.
We’re told the pair were casually dating for some time and really enjoyed making music together.
Tina’s new romance comes seven months on from her splitting from her millionaire boyfriend Adam Fadle, whom she met in Cheshire following her move there.

The actress, who is known for playing Sarah Platt on the Cobbles, is thought to have been single since her split from millionaire businessman Adam.
At the time, we revealed that it was interior designer Adam who ended things with the star. Rather than being taken with her glam life in the public eye, we’re told it ended up being a huge turn-off for him.
Our insider said: “He was the one who wanted out and ended it. In a brutal swipe, he said it ended up being like something out of a Coronation Street storyline.”
That relationship was hot on the heels of the end of her marriage to personal trainer Adam Crofts. They got together just four months after it ended.
Tina and Adam Crofts were married for six years and share a son, Beau, together.
Tina also, of course, has her daughter from her relationship with her former Corrie co-star Ryan Thomas.
Her romance with Ryan lasted from 2003 to 2009, with the pair’s very public split fraught and involving a number of public spats.

Most recently, the pair have been navigating their daughter’s burgeoning singing and social media career together.
While Ryan has fully embraced that world, Tina’s had a love-hate relationship with social media over the years, vowing to take a break from Instagram in 2020 after calling the site “toxic” and admitting she felt like a “fraud” trying to present a “filtered version” of her life to gain validation.
But six years on, things are completely different, and she has big plans for the future after signing up to an agency – Alpha Talent Group – which will be helping her land a series of brand partnerships.
While Tina is set to branch out on socials, fans shouldn’t expect to see her all over TikTok, like Scarlett and her dad Ryan and his brothers Adam and Scott Thomas are.
Our source previously explained: “She won’t be doing cringe TikTok trends, but there are some exciting brand deals on the horizon.
“And don’t be surprised if she steps out of her comfort zone and does some reality TV – she did Strictly over a decade ago and feels like she wants the public to see her personality.”
And dating another social media star, who has half a million followers on TikTok, is probably not a bad place to start.
