LOVE Island fans have been left fuming over one hunk’s alleged “bullying” behaviour in the Mallorca villa.
Viewers of the ITV2 series – which will wrap its summer season next week – have flooded social media with messages of concern about his supposed “harassment” and insisted they will contact the broadcasting watchdog.

Returning Love Island star Blu Chegini was axed from the matchmaking show earlier in the series, yet made a recent unexpected return alongside Megan Forte Clarke.
Yet while The Sun exclusively revealed how the Irish lass had broken an unwritten show rule and discussed her time outside the show compound, Blu has been getting fans’ backs up.
The star, partnered in a friendship couple with Helena, has beenaccused of being “furniture”after being pied three times on his show return.
Yet now viewer complaints have escalated to his supposed “bullying” of Toni – a claim reinforced by her mother on TikTok – and as such, they have told how they are contacting Ofcom with their worries.
It came after a particularly “bitter and sarky” scene featuring the pair, which led one fan to post on X: “I’m sorry Blu is a bully! @Ofcom will be hearing from me.”
A second quizzed: “Why is Blu in the villa???????” as a third put: “I’m reporting Blu and Meg to Ofcom for harassment. Toni wanted nothing to do with it yet they’re literally trying to force a reaction out of her for no f**king reason.”
Another urged: “Can people complain to Ofcom about Blu and Meg’s behaviour then?”
One posted: “I can’t believe it. I want to make A OFCOM COMPLAINT.”
Another concluded: “Love island why did you bring Blu back and allow him to talk to women they way is he?? HELLO????”
Before entering the villa, ITV’s Duty of Care protocol outlines training for Islanders in language, behaviour and understanding mutual respect in relationships.

Programme contributors will be offered a full package of measures to ensure they remain supported prior to, during and after the filming period on the show.
A welfare team is also solely dedicated to the Islanders both during the show and after.

LOVE ISLAND 2025 – ALL the dumped stars so far
LOVE Island 2025 is in its penultimate week. Here are all the dumped Islanders so far …
During one part of the challenge, Blu turned his board around and told the group: “This is directed at Toni really, because I’ve tried to give her my honest opinion and she didn’t take it.
“I’m not scared, I’ve tried and… Toni.”
As the Islanders burst into laughter, Toni shot back: “I still don’t care unfortunately. Sorry Blu.
“I don’t have it in me anymore.”
Blu replied: “That’s cool, I’m glad you don’t care,” as the awkward moment between them came to an end.
We told how this year’s Love Island cohort will make a second entrance into the Mallorca villa.
A source told us the scenes will air on ITV2 soon and said: “The entire cast will be returning to the villa this week – just like the ‘jury’ in All Stars earlier this year.
“They’ll come face to face with the stars who dumped them, and in some cases, have slagged them off live on TV!”
Our source added of the current show twist: “It’ll be explosive and must watch TV – during All Stars Liv Hawkins spilled a secret that changed the outcome of the entire show so the cast will be VERY nervous when they realise what is about to happen!”

Love Island fans were left shocked during tonight’s episode as Blu and Megan discussed what had been going on in the outside world – something which is usually banned on the show
21:57, 30 Jul 2025Updated 22:19, 30 Jul 2025
Things got personal in last night’s Love Island as the Couple Goals challenge allowed the Islanders to air all their dirty laundry. Tonight things escalated as the Islanders discussed the outside world – which is usually strictly against the rules.
As we know, Megan and Blu re-joined the villa after being booted out weeks ago, and during tonight’s episode Blu spilled all on the outside world, despite Islanders usually having to be shut off from the outside world.
“You know how much I love Megan but I just feel like the first time Megan came in compared to this time is completely different,” Dejon told Blu and Harry, as he continued to drop some home truths.

During her first stint in the villa, Megan formed a connection with Tommy before dumping him for Conor. Blu then revealed that Megan was left “fuming” after seeing Lucy and Tommy in Tape. Conor then confronted Megan about the ongoings, as she admitted they shared a few flirty texts.
However, fans were left baffled that the Islanders had been allowed to speak about the outside world, as one penned: “are they allowed to talk about the outside world like this? Blu is working overtime to get that screentime!”
A second wrote: “Why would they allow Blu to reveal how the public feels?? It goes against the whole point of contestants not allowed contact with the outside world.”
“So the producer are just gonna allow Bly to talk about what happening on the outside??!??????!! Hmmh kinda beat the point of the concept on show having no contact with the outside world….but does kinda cause drama but still.”

Elsewhere, the Islanders had their biggest fallout yet. Last night, during the Couple Goals challenge, the Islanders were asked which couple they thought were the most fake, and the answers caused a stir. Meg and Dejon chose Harry and Shakira, as Meg announced: “I feel like Shakira, you’ve made some very hurtful comments to me that we’re not very nice and I’ve always been there for you.”
Tonight, the arguments continued, as the Islanders were asked: “Which couple are you most scared to give your honest opinion on?”
Shakira and Harry choose Meg and Dejon, as Meg told to Shakira, “I think if people were honest in the first place and told us to our faces instead of saying it constantly behind our back, it would be a different story.”
However, Shakira wasn’t having any of it, as she responded: “You throwing around the fake word is rich to be honest. I don’t know why you keep acting like we’re the best of mates in here. From day one, you were very standoffish with any girl that was posed as a threat.”
The argument continued to escalate as Meg told Shakira she wouldn’t be her friend on the outside. “I will never speak to you on the outside. I honestly can’t stand you sometimes,” Shakira responded.
Will the girls make up?
LOVE ISLAND CONTINUES TOMORROW NIGHT AT 9PM ON ITV2 AND ITVX
Love Island viewers saw family and friends of the islanders enter the villa in tonight’s episode following the latest recoupling, and one parent had a message for the group
22:08, 28 Jul 2025Updated 22:36, 28 Jul 2025
A parent issued a plea to the islanders in the Love Island villa during a reunion on tonight’s episode of the reality TV show. Dejon Noel-Williams’ mother Demelza shared her thoughts on the dynamic among the islanders upon her arrival.
Meg was reunited with her mother Nathalie and older sister Paige earlier, whilst Dejon got to see his mum Demelza and his sister Gene in scenes that aired this evening. Although Meg’s family had concerns over the relationship, Dejon’s family were supportive.
Demelza even warned Meg about the other girls in the villa. She said: “I just want to say that these girls are not your friends.” After her sister agreed, Meg said: “Yeah, I’ve seen it.” Demelza appeared to then say: “Smiling assassins!”

Later, as she was leaving the villa, Demelza told all the islanders to be mindful of what they say because everyone’s families are watching back home. She told the islanders: “Guys, just remember you’ve got loved ones outside.”
Demelza continued by saying that she felt that some people’s behaviours and comments had already been “quite hurtful”. She instead encouraged them to “just have fun” in the last week ahead of the upcoming final next Monday.
Sharing her thoughts, Demelza said: “That’s all I want to say and some of the things you’re doing and saying is quite hurtful. So just be mindful that all of you have got loved ones watching. Take that into the last week and just have fun.”
Demelza later had a message for the entire villa, with her warning the islanders to be mindful of their behaviour in the final week(Image: ITV)
She wasn’t the only relative to feel that way. Following Demelza’s comments to the islanders, Meg’s sister Paige, who was also about to leave the villa after the reunion, added: “Just love. Positive. Everyone be nice to each other!”
As well as Meg and Dejon remaining together, the latest recoupling also saw Yasmin Pettet and Jamie Rhodes stay coupled up. It however also saw several islanders enter different couplings than they had been in previously.
Conor Phillips is now coupled-up with Megan Forte Clarke, whilst Toni Laites was chosen by Cach Mercer in the recoupling ceremony that aired on Sunday night. Ty Isherwood and Angel Swift are another new couple in the villa.
Dejon’s family also got to meet his partner Meg Moore, who reunited with her own mother and sister in the latest episode of Love Island(Image: ITV/Shutterstock)
After most recently being coupled up with Helena, he told Shakira in last night’s episode that he was either leaving with her or without her. Viewers also saw Helena end things with Harry, with her telling him that she had broken her heart with his behaviour in the villa, prompting an apology.
He then had to make a choice in the episode once the recoupling arrived. Harry, who was faced with Shakira and Helena as his options, said: “I’d like to couple up with this girl because she possesses qualities I see in a long-term partner.”
Harry added: “Think I’ve sat on a lot of feelings and buried a lot of my emotions recently, and two conversations brought that all back to the surface. I think I’ve disappointed myself. Disappointed people in here. […] I want to be a better person for myself and this girl.”
He said: “The feelings were always there, I just chose to ignore them. As I said to this girl yesterday, I’m either leaving here alone or I’m leaving here with her.” He then chose Shakira, which left Blu with Helena as his only choice.
Love Island continues tomorrow night from 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez have gone from “Love Island” to Splitsville.
The pair of reality TV stars who kindled a romance last year on “Love Island” Season 6 have called it quits, The Times confirmed Monday. Craig broke up with Rodriguez on Sunday, a day after they were among the guests at YouTube star David Dobrik‘s birthday party.
“They will not be getting back together,” a source confirmed to People.
A representative for Craig declined to comment. The Times did not immediately hear back from Rodriguez.
Though Craig and Rodriguez fell short of winning their season last year (fellow contestants Kordell Beckham and Serena Page took the prize), the pair continued their relationship off-screen. Craig opened up about her relationship with Rodriguez to People in October 2024, telling the magazine that time away from the cameras meant “we can take our time.”
“We always forgot that there was cameras anyways so nothing’s really changed,” she said at the time.
Craig and Rodriguez’s relationship came back into the “Love Island” spotlight earlier this month for Peacock’s “Love Island: Beyond the Villa.” The series, which premiered July 13, follows the Season 6 contestants “as they navigate new careers, evolving friendships, newfound fame, and complex relationships,” according to a press release for the show.
Right before the premiere of “Love Island: Beyond the Villa,” fans bid farewell to “Love Island” Season 7 — which was notably marred by controversy. Two contestants — Yulissa Escobar and Cierra Ortega — left the series weeks apart after they came under fire for their off-air use of racial slurs.
The season ended with contestants Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales taking home the $100,000 grand prize.
Love Island fans were adamant they had worked out Harry Cooksley’s plans as he was once again involved in a drama filled episode of the ITV2 dating series

Fans have been commenting on Harry’s decision(Image: ITV)
Love Island fans were quick to point out the “game plan” of Harry Cooksley after yet more drama involving the 30 year old. Despite being coupled up with Helena, Harry has continuously shared cheeky and flirtatious chat with other girls in the villa.
And his ways have caused former partner Shakira’s head to be turned despite being in a pair with Conor. And following Friday night’s dramatic antics, fans are certain they know what Harry is up to as a dramatic recoupling took place on tonight’s show.
There were tears for Harry as he spoke to Helena who promised she could not be friends with him in the villa or on the outside. And he was backed by the boys as he sulked. However, the recoupling led fans to have the same thoughts. With just Helena and Shakira left standing waiting to be picked, Harry said he had “disappointed myself” before saying he knows he’s not perfect.
Fans think Harry is playing a good game choosing Shakira(Image: ITV)
He said he had “chose to ignore” the feelings he had for her as he told Shakira he was either leaving the villa alone or with her. He made his decision, with Shakira hugging him and leaving Helena left standing alone, much to the disappointment of other islanders.
After Blu was left to pick Helena, she took his words on board before getting up and quickly walking away from the fire pit. And taking to social media, fans of the show made their feelings known.
One user on Twitter/X said: “Harry knows Shakira is most popular with public his game plan working to a tee.”
And it was shown in other comments by viewers. “IF THERE IS A VOTE IM VOTING HARRY AND SHAKIRA WITH NO SHAME #LoveIsland,” admitted one user. Another added: “Just watch! People will vote for Harry and Shakira,” while a third said: “Yessss Harry beautiful speech, you’re back in the game. Team Harry and Shakira”
On Friday’s edition, he was finally exposed to the villa for his actions that had caused drama between the girls for weeks – leading to a split. He had played Shakira and Helena against each other time and time again, and sat back as Helena and Shakira took the triangle drama out on each other. His exclusive pairing with Helena had left Shakira devastated after feeling isolated in recent weeks.
However, just a day after moving their relationship on, Harry was hinting to Dejon how he still liked Shakira. He also hinted he wasn’t that into Helena, before appearing to try and pick a fight with her at the Grafties.
The awkward scenes playing out in front of the camera saw Helena end things for good. His comments about “loving” his ex Emma and him flirting with others, not to mention his chats with Shakira, all played on the awards ceremony in the vila. And the footballer also made a comment about having a better experience with Shakira than Helena.
Helena ended up calling Harry “a f*****g joke”. She then told him: “Shakira doesn’t want you, I don’t want you.” With that the other Islanders smirked as Helena appeared to end things.
Love Island 2025 airs every night at 9PM on ITV2 and ITVX.
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is back and bosses have now confirmed the full line-up, including a member of the Peru Two drugs smuggling group and Rebecca Loos
The Celeb SAS 14 include stars from music, entertainment and sport(Image: Pete Dadds / Channel 4)
Celebrities from the world of music, entertainment and sport have lined up to take part in the most gruelling phase of Special Forces selection whilst being filmed so millions of people can watch from the comfort of their sofas.
Channel 4 bosses have chosen a wide selection of stars from football, reality TV and even a woman made famous as one of the ‘Peru Two’ drug smugglers for Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. Michaella McCollum will line up alongside other star names like Rebecca Loos, who had a rumoured fling with David Beckham as well as former Premier League footballer Troy Deeney.
The Seventh series will see the action play out over eight one-hour episodes as the 14 celebrities are put through their paces by an elite team of ex-Special Forces soldiers – Chief Instructor Billy Billingham and his team of Directing Staff (DS) – Foxy (Jason Fox), Rudy Reyes and Chris Oliver. They take the famous faces to Wales, the home of the first phase of SAS Selection, where they will be stripped of their home comforts, families, agents and social media.
This year’s course will be physically demanding and psychologically gruelling; all but a few who take part will fail, but the question is who will make it to the end and eventually pass?
Commenting on this year’s group of celebrity recruits, Chief Instructor, Billy said: “This course is not an attendance course, the bar is set high and will not waiver. Every recruit is a volunteer who chose to step into our arena. Although many will start, very few will finish and even less will pass. This is not for the weak minded or faint hearted.”
DS Foxy said: “The world is now a complex and dangerous place with threats coming from all angles. Because of that, we as a country need to be ready. We want to show these celebrity recruits what it takes to prepare for war, but do they have what it takes, far away from their privileged lives?”
DS Rudy commented: “SAS: Who Dares Wins is brutal, revealing and a testament to human perseverance. Punishing elements, relentless pace, and standards that make war fighters proud to give these recruits a hard reset to find their true self. And in that truth, an insight into the human experience for us all.”
DS Chris added: “This isn’t just about physical strength; it’s about mental resilience too. The recruits will be pushed to their limits, both individually and as a unit. Trust in each other will be our greatest asset. When the waves are high and the wind is howling, they will need to rely on the training and instincts if they are going to succeed.”

Age: 43
Famous for: Former Wycombe footballer
What they say about challenge: “I’ve asked myself time and time again – am I built for the Special Forces? One of the reasons why I’m doing this is to find out. I would like to think that, put me in most situations, most environments, I’ll be able to put my best foot forward, get out of my comfort zone, hit my responsibilities and do what I need to do! I think that’s what I want to get out of taking part on this course.”
Troy Deeney

What they say about challenge: “I’m at a crossroads in my life, so I’m hoping the course can highlight the good and bad in me, and hopefully we’ll see at the end that the good outweighs the bad. I’m sure the DS will get me irritated very quickly but they will also know how to nurture and to reshape and probably help me along the way.”

What he says about the challenge: “Although boxing is hard, I feel like this is going to be a completely different challenge, and I always want to challenge myself. I just want to see and experience the toughness and the grittiness you need to pass this course.”
Louie Spence
Louie is hoping to challenge himself
Age: 56
Famous for: Dancer, choreographer and television presenter
What they say about challenge: “This course I hope can walk away feeling I’ve actually really achieved something here, that I’ve really pushed myself to the edge of my boundaries and put myself in a position which is beyond something I could have even imagined a year ago. This is a course that is really going to challenge me. This is different to anything I’ve ever been part of before. There’s no fluff, there’s no glitter, there’s no getting myself out of a situation with a quick bit of wit. It’s really refreshing for me to do something like this…and, hopefully, come out a much better person, both physically and mentally.”

What Tasha says about challenge: “I’m very excited to actually take on the course and just go for it, push myself and really challenge myself. But I also want to show people that having a disability makes you no less able – we can also push ourselves, and do crazy challenges if we put our mind to it.
“I really want to be able to actually walk away from the course feeling like I’ve accomplished what I wanted to do and I want to look back and think, wow, I did that, I’m proud of myself. I’ll be doing this for the people who have doubted me. I want prove to them that they can’t bring me down. I can fight my way to the end.”
Harry Clark
Former military man Harry was inspired by the SAS(Image: Channel 4)
Age: 24
Famous for: Winner of season two of Traitors
What they say about challenge: “Growing up, I’d watch people close to me be in the SAS, which always inspired me. This show was a different experience to what I had imagined but I always love a challenge and it proves you’re always learning new things about yourself.”
Hannah Spearritt
Singer Hannah wants to gain ‘strength’ from her experience
Age: 44
Famous for: S Club 7 star
What they say about challenge: “I hope to take out of this experience, strength. I want to feel stronger again, mentally and physically, because there’s always improvement there. There are always dips that happen along the way with motherhood or whatever but I think when you just experience different stuff, it changes you. I have no idea what to expect, but I do know it will be an experience and it’s something that I will have for life.
“However the experience goes, I am going to learn about myself. Maybe I’ll find out I am a bit of a mess or I might find out that I’m stronger than I think I am…it’s finding out things about yourself that you would never, ever find out. We live in this world where it’s so easy to live in our comfort zone, so this is an opportunity to get outside of that and…for me anyway, growth and expansion is one of the most important things, and that is something that hopefully I can pass on to my kids.”
Rebecca Loos
The show represents a TV comeback for Rebecca who did reality show The Farm in 2004(Image: Channel 4)
Age: 48
Famous for: Yoga teacher who had a rumoured fling with David Beckham
What they say about challenge: “I honestly don’t know whether I am mentally strong enough but one of the reasons I want to do this course is because I want to find out whether I’m able to stick it through mentally. I think it’s going to be really, really tough. This is by far the toughest thing I’ve ever done. But I want to do this course because it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to do an SAS training course. It’s going to be really interesting to see how far I can go and how strong I’m able to keep myself.”
Bimini
Bimini is hoping to prove they can do anything(Image: Channel 4)
Age:
Famous for: Drag queen and DJ
What they say about challenge: “I want to do this just to prove to myself that I’m capable of anything I put my mind to. I want to prove to myself that I can do it. No glam, no red carpets, no magazine covers. This is literally just going to be me to my core and I am excited about it but I don’t think the course is ready for Bimini.
“People in the UK love to debate gender like it’s a concept, not a lived experience. It gets reduced to headlines and toilet talk. I’m doing this to remind them that behind every opinion is a human being. The course, the SAS and the Army have got a very masculine stereotype and I’ve got both elements of masculine and feminine and that’s my superpower. Vulnerable, raw, and stronger than ever. This bleached rat tail is gonna f**k it up!”
Michaella McCollum
Michaella McCollum was one of the Peru Two(Image: Pete Dadds / Channel 4)
Age: 31
Famous for: One of the Peru Two drug mules
What they say about challenge: “The level of resilience I learned from being in prison in Peru and knowing how important that mindset is, will definitely help get me through the course, so I’m going to need to use my mental strength to help me along the way. In Peru, I was completely stripped back to the rawest version of myself…and I know in this course, it will have a similar effect. I will get to see the real me again and I want to challenge myself to see how capable I am. I don’t know if I’m physically fit enough to complete the course but I have good mental strength.”
What they say about challenge: “I hope I have the mental grit to get to the end of the course. I have been through quite a lot in my life, and I’ve done a lot of work to navigate what that left behind, and I really hope that I can apply it to the course, and make it all the way to the end.
“I’ve always wanted to do this course, and what I love about this course is the sheer pressure it puts on a human being, that you will just not get anywhere else in life. And I’ve had pressure, I’ve had so many forms of pressure, nothing like this, so I really just genuinely want to see how far my brain can go.”
Adam admits he loves a challenge(Image: Channel 4)
Age: 29
Famous for: Fitness coach and Love Islander
What they say about challenge: “Hopefully during the course, the DS will peel back a few layers because I’m stubborn as hell. And maybe I need to be broken down to then go and sort some stuff out.
“I’m doing it for the little boy who hated himself and couldn’t do anything and was the last to get picked in everything. And from an emotional point of view, I’m hoping that this spits out a better person.
“I love a challenge. And I really think this course is exactly what I want to really tap into my fitness, the mental strength, the resilience, and see if I’ve got the grit to finish and go all the way.”
Lady Leshurr
Lady Leshurr hopes to feel empowered(Image: Channel 4)
Age: 37
Famous for: Rapper
What they say about challenge: “I think this course is not only going to make me become the best version of myself, but it’s going to make me the strongest I’ve ever been. It’s going to make me realise so much about myself that I’ve kept in. It’s going to push, motivate and inspire me. It’s really going to make or break me. But regardless, it’s going to teach me a lesson about myself that I can definitely work on.”
“Doing this course is going to make me regain my strength, my understanding, who I am as a person and just unpack all the trauma that is on my chest…I’m hoping to leave this course feeling empowered, feeling the strongest I’ve ever felt, a beast. I want to walk into the gym the next day, like I own this place.”
Chloe Burrows
Chloe learnt a lot about herself(Image: Channel 4)
What they say about challenge: “On SAS: Who Dares Wins , everything is completely stripped back. You have absolutely nothing. And I want the course to kind of remind me of that, because I’ve got a bit lost in myself and the industry. I want to feel a little bit grounded. I want to get a sense of it. I want to push myself, and I want to get a sense of achievement. I want to feel proud of myself for whatever I put into it.
“I think the course is going to give me a bit of confidence. If I even achieve half of the course, then I can walk out and be like, yeah, guess what? I did that on my own. No makeup, no hot shower. I’m very capable…I would love to come out and just feel really pleased with myself and really confident in myself. I want to feel like I’ve tried my absolute hardest and that I had nothing left in the tank…I don’t want to leave half-heartedly. If I leave, it’s because I physically cannot do anymore, which is fair, but I just want to know that I’ve tried my hardest.”
* Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins can be streamed or watched live every Sunday and Monday from 9pm on Channel 4, starting on 3 August.
Love Island 2025 viewers tuning into the latest episode on Monday night all had the same comment to make about the uneventful visit to the villa, calling it ‘the most boring yet’

Love Island 2025 viewers tuning into the latest episode on Monday night all had the same comment to make(Image: ITV)
The latest episode of Love Island got a repeated reaction from viewers, and it’s safe to say they were far from impressed.
Narrator Iain Stirling announced to fans at the start of the show on Monday night that it was the penultimate week of the show, just weeks before the live final. But there were certainly no winning moments in the latest visit to the villa according to fans.
In the episode there was some minor drama between Dejon and Yasmin who soon cleared the air. Conor and Shakira also had a heart-to-heart, as the latter confessed her fears of being hurt again.
Meg and Dejon enjoyed a date away from the villa too, as they discussed family life, being out of the villa and Dejon even asked her to be his girlfriend. Back in the villa, Harry decided to stick with Helena, telling bombshell Angel he wouldn’t have his head turned, while Toni and Cach appeared to get closer, after his kiss with Billykiss.

But none of this was enough to keep viewers interested, with many fans calling it “the most boring episode” of the entire series. Viewers kept repeating they were “bored” with some wanting to “skip” to the end of the episode.
Taking to social media, one fan commented: “So obviously today is gonna be the most boring episode of the season.” Another fan said: “Can we skip to the end,” as a third viewer asked: “Is anyone else mad bored?”
Another fan wrote online: “I’m bored and theres still the date to come,” while a further comment from a viewer said: “Can’t lie it’s starting to become boring now.” This was echoed by another fan who posted: “This is such a boring episode.”
The same comments kept on being shared, as one fan said: “This episode is so boring.” Another fan agreed: “Most boring episode to date.”
As the episode came to an end, a tomorrow night teaser revealed a dumping was looming. Not only that but there’s a special guest performing at the Love Island ‘festival’ before the Islanders must say goodbye.

Viewers went back to commenting about the episode after seeing this, making a plea to bosses. A fan posted: “What a waste of my time @LoveIsland. Don’t do that again.” Another fan posted: “What a waste of an episode.”
A third fan, hoping to see who left after the latest public vote, said: “Showing us Meg and Dejon’s pathetic date & wasting valuable time to now waiting till tomorrow night to see who leaves. I’m so maddd.”
Meanwhile there were hints at new drama on the way, as Toni and Shakira appeared to call out Dejon over his gesture to Meg. Some fans backed the pair, claiming the girls had spotted Dejon’s “game playing”. Other viewers called out the pair for being “mean girls”.
“The Summer I Turned Pretty” is the second series in as many months to directly warn its audience about cyberbullying. Posting on its official social media accounts, the Prime Video series issued a “PSA for the Summer community”: “We have a ZERO tolerance policy for bullying and hate speech. If you engage in any of the following you will be banned.” Fans were cautioned against “hate speech or bullying,” “targeting our cast or crew” and “harassing or doxxing members of the community.”
This comes on the heels of “Love Island USA” releasing similar warnings. Last month, host Ariana Madix called out “fan” behavior on the series’ recap show, “Aftersun.” “Don’t be contacting people’s families. Don’t be doxxing people. Don’t be going on Islanders’ pages and saying rude things,” she said. The show’s social accounts subsequently followed up with the message: “Please just remember they’re real people — so let’s be kind and spread the love!”
So this is where we are. Online discourse has become so toxic that television series are forced to address it in their publicity campaigns. It’s difficult to know whether to applaud or weep. Maybe both.
Certainly having television creators, and their social media teams, address a decades-long problem directly and proactively is far preferable to the more traditional entertainment industry approach. You know, waiting until some unfortunate actor or contestant is buried under an avalanche of hate speech before appearing shocked and horrified that such a thing could happen among (fill in the blank) fan base. (We will never forget, Kelly Marie Tran!)
Whether these warnings will be duplicated or prove effective remains to be seen. Studies suggest that cyberbullies who have their posts removed are less likely to repost and perhaps being called out by shows they watch will give some “fans” pause before they vent their spleen online.
It is still maddening that after years of research on the prevalence and dangers of cyberbullying, we are apparently relying on “Love Island” and “The Summer I Turned Pretty” as a first line of defense against behavior that has been proved to cause suicide, self-harm and a host of mental illnesses.
Obviously, something is very wrong. With the medium and its message.
When the internet became widely available, it promised to be an endless library of art and information. Instead, its most popular feature was easy (and often quite unintentional) access to porn.
So should we have been surprised when fan sites and social media platforms, built to allow free, unfettered and quite often anonymous discourse, became equally at risk for humanity’s less sterling qualities? Should it have been a revelation that certain film and television fans would behave badly when something occurred in their beloved universe that they did not like?
Have you ever been to Dodger Stadium?
Nothing about the impulses or language of cyberbullying is new. Hate mail has existed since writing was invented —poison pen letters caused a criminal crisis in the early 20th century — and celebrities have always been in danger of the “build ‘em up and tear ‘em down” fan flex.
What’s new (or new-ish) are the platforms that encourage such things. Poison pen letters are illegal. Poisonous posts are part of the social media business plan.
Yes, those who hate-post should take personal responsibility and our culture, like our politics, has grown more divisive and, frankly, mean. Social media at best allows and at worst encourages us to post things we might never say to a person standing in front of us. Commentary as blood sport.
Looking back, there was such heartbreaking optimism about the role social media would play in art, particularly television. Creators could actively engage with fans in real time and deepen audience commitment. A viral video or a clever Twitter campaign could save marketing departments millions. And celebrities could post their own “in real life” pictures, potentially thwarting the paparazzi, as well as stories, statements and confessionals, thereby avoiding the need for interviews over which they had far less control.
DIY publicity and deeply personal fan engagement — what could go wrong?
DIY publicity and deeply personal fan engagement, that’s what.
Say what you will about the old days when artists had to rely on legacy media for publicity — if readers had something bad to say, they shared it with the publication, which had standards about what letters would be made public. Direct contact with public figures was quite difficult — even fan mail was read and sorted by publicity departments and secretaries.
Now most everyone is accessible on one platform or another and there are very few standards.
Having leveraged the unpaid labor of millions to create profitable platforms, social media owners are not interested in providing basic consumer protection. Using the most facile definition of free speech — which is the right to voice opinions without government interference or punishment, not the right to post any hateful or incendiary thought you have — Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk and other platform owners have consistently refused or pushed back against any demands of meaningful regulation.
Instead they rely on other users. The self-policing of social media is real and often effective, but it is far too arbitrary to act as a substitute for media regulation and mob rule is not something we should embrace.
The simple answer is “don’t look” — avoid the comments section or get off social media altogether. Which would be great advice if it were not so patently ridiculous. Intentionally or not, we have made social media a powerful force in this country. Particularly in the entertainment industry, where careers are made on YouTube, TikTok influencers are cultural arbiters and the number of one’s Instagram followers can determine whether they get the job or not.
It’s easy to say “ignore the haters” and virtually impossible for most of us to do. More importantly, it puts the responsibility on the wrong people, like telling a woman to just ignore a boss or colleague who makes crude comments about her appearance.
It’s been decades since Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok and all the other platforms could be viewed as simply fun forums on which to share vacation snaps. They deliver the news, shape our politics, market our businesses and create our culture. They are not public spaces; they belong to media companies that are owned and controlled by individuals just like any other media company.
So yeah, it’s great that “Love Island” and “The Summer I Turned Pretty” have taken steps to try to prevent online hate. But their warnings only illuminate the elephant in the room. A billion-dollar industry is failing to protect the very people who built it in the first place.
Harrison Solomon was met with backlash over his love triangle with Toni Laites and Lauren Wood on the new series of Love Island, and he’s now addressed it following his departure

Former Love Island star Harrison Solomon has addressed the backlash that he received from viewers. The islander had been criticised by fans amid a love triangle with his co-stars Toni Laites and Lauren Wood whilst in the villa.
Harrison, 22, attracted attention on the ITV2 show for what he described as a “back-and-forth” between his connections with Toni, 24, and Lauren, 26. This included him sleeping with Lauren while estranged from Toni and then encouraging Toni to choose him at the next recoupling.
After recoupling with Toni, footballer Harrison ended up continuing to pursue things with Lauren more recently. Lauren was dumped from the villa last week by the actions of a bombshell and Harrison later left to reunite with her.

During his time on the show, Harrison faced criticism from viewers. And last week, amid his stint on Love Island, a spokesperson for Women’s Aid issued a statement to the Tab, which included mention of women being “lied to, slut-shamed and manipulated, as well as laughed at behind their backs.”
Harrison has now addressed the “backlash” in an interview with the Daily Mail, saying he has found it “hard to digest”. He told the outlet: “I would disagree with a lot of it in terms of my respect for women, I do respect women.”
He said that the “worst” reaction had been from Women’s Aid. He said: “I know myself and the girls on the show too, Toni said she knows I’m not a bad person, just went about situations in the wrong way, but the Women’s Aid statement wasn’t nice … it’s not nice coming out of the villa to my mum upset by that so I would say that’s been the hardest.”
Harrison said that he is “sorry” to the women that he has “hurt,” before saying that he “got it wrong”. He added that the “back and forth” between his connections with Lauren and Toni ended up causing “more harm” than he intended. He however said that it wasn’t “an ego thing”.
The former islander said he isn’t proud of the way he handled things in the villa and won’t “make excuses”. Harrison said that he just wants to “own it” and assured: “If people can give me the space to grow from it, I will do everything I can to be better, and that’s the only thing I can do.”
Harrison had been pursuing a romance with Lauren as well as Toni Laites, pictured, whilst on the ITV2 show(Image: ITV)
Harrison added that there’s “no handbook” for dealing with being on a reality TV show like Love Island, which is based on “instincts” and “intentions”. He told the outlet that whilst he got “some of it right,” he also “got a lot of it wrong”.
It’s been suggested that the statement by Women’s Aid particularly upset Harrison due to his relationship with his mother and younger sister. He told the outlet that he prides himself on “standing up for women,” as well as being a “protector,” but is “disappointed” over how he handled himself in the villa.
His comments come just days after viewers saw Harrison quit the show, a day after Lauren was dumped from the villa. Shortly before his departure from the villa, a tearful Harrison had apologised to Toni.
He told her before leaving: “I want you to know that I genuinely am sorry for the way that I’ve treated you in here. […] I think with me being indecisive in here and trying to spare people’s feelings, I feel like I’ve hurt yours more.”
Harrison said: “Deep down, you know I’ve got a good heart but I’ve just not gone about things the right way in here.” Toni went on tell Harrison: “I know you’re not a bad person but you’ve got a big head and you treated me like s**t repeatedly.” He replied: “I know, I’m sorry for that.”
Love Island fans questioned ‘weird’ behaviour from Islander Emma after she kissed her ex Harry in a new kissing challenge, with fans claiming she is ‘obsessed’ and ‘possessed’

The latest instalment of Love Island brought back the kissing challenge, where the boys were blindfolded and rated how good the girls were at kissing. The challenge led to some drama as Harry rated Emma, his ex girlfriend of four years, higher than he rated Helena who he is currently in a couple with.
After Emma kissed her ex, she commented that she made her kiss with Harry the longest and said he would have enjoyed kissing her. Fans took to X, formally known as Twitter, where they questioned her behaviour and labelled her ‘Delulu’ and claimed she was ‘obsessed’ with her ex.
One person wrote: “Emma darling your starting to look really weird….”, while another added: “guys i’m so scared of emma i think she’s possessed”. A third wrote: “EMMA IS OBSESSED WITH HARRY GET HER INTO AN ASYLUM”, while another penned: “Delulu ain’t even the word for Emma”.

It comes after Shakira and Conor’s relationship appeared to be on the rocks after an explosive argument, which left Shakira crying into Toni’s shoulder.
During the islanders’ latest villa game, Couples of Sorts, Harrison was selected as part of a “one-sided” couple. He was not happy about the vote and said: “I think Conor and Shakira should be up here. We had a conversation – me, you and H – basically what was said was, you like him more than Ty. But I don’t think you like Con as much as you like Harry.”
Shakira claimed that Harrison and Harry were trying to ‘create a narrative’ that she still likes Harry. In a heated argument, Shakira told Conor: “It’s been twisted and you’ve wanted to believe the boys straight away. It’s ego and pride. Wake up Conor. They’re literally the biggest game players here. When have I ever lied to you?”

Upset that Conor doesn’t believe her, Shakira breaks down in tears and goes to Toni and Yasmin for support.
Speaking through her tears, she told the girls: “I don’t want to be surrounded by them all the time. For Conor to straight off the cuff believe them… We’ve been friends for weeks…”
She added: “”Why are they trying to create this narrative like I’m obsessed with [Harry]? I don’t get it. They’re all just so fake! I’m surrounded by fake f*****g people who smile in your face and chat s**t about you behind your back.”

While Shakira and Conor appeared to patch things up in Friday evening’s episode, and were seen cuddling on the day beds, only time will tell if their relationship is strong enough to last.

Helena was fuming in the latest episode and left questioning if her couple with Harry was ‘one-sided’ after Harry went for another flirty chat with new bombshell Angel

Love Island star Helena was left ‘fuming’ in Sunday night’s episode after Harry went for another chat with new bombshell Angel. Helena was sitting at the firepit with Connor and watched as Harry went into the snug with Angel, before she decided to step in and pull him away for a chat.
Helena told Connor: “If he’s acting like this infront of my face here, imagine what he would act like on the outside”, as she questioned if their relationship was ‘one-sided’. Helena then told Harry she didn’t appreciate him flirting with Angel, before Harry agreed and said he needed to ‘bin it’.
Helena was also unhappy after the latest kissing challenge where Harry voted Shakira and Emma as better kissers than Helena, despite her trying to give him clues that it was her kissing him.
It comes after the villa’s latest bombshell walked in and was immediately coupled up with Ty. Angelique ‘Angel’ Swift became one of the new entrants to ITV’s long-running dating show this week, and the ripple effects were immediate.

Lauren, who had been coupled with Ty, was made single and therefore dumped from the Love Island villa. While Angel is coupled up with Ty, she has also expressed her interest towards Harry, who is currently coupled up with Helena.
Harry and Helena have embarked on an on-off relationship since the show started and haven’t yet ‘closed things off’, with Harry saying in Friday evening’s episode that he is ‘open’ to getting to know bombshell Angel. Only time will tell if he has a better connection with Angel than he has with Helena.

Angel’s relationship history reportedly included TOWIE star Dan Edgar, who has appeared on the reality series since 2015 and famously previously dated co-star Ella Rae Wise.
Dan and Ella began dating in early 2024 but broke up at the beginning of this year. In recent months, Dan and Angel reportedly got close. However, it seems the romance did not pan out as Angel is searching for love in the villa.

A friend of the dating show star told The Sun: “They were together during one of the May bank holidays in Marbella and spent time hanging out. They were seen at various events, it was casual dating, but they had fun together.”
A friend of Dan also told the outlet: “It was just one date really, and it was after he split from Ella. Dan was very much single at the time.”

Lauren and Harrison came back together for an emotional reunion on After Sun where Harrison revealed revealed they ‘aren’t boyfriend and girlfriend’ but ‘will get there very soon’

After one of the most dramatic weeks in the Love Island villa, Harrison and Lauren reunited in an emotional episode of After Sun following their shock departures. Footballer Harrison Solomon, 22, shocked viewers by dramatically quitting the show, just one day after Lauren Wood, 26, was brutally dumped following a bombshell recoupling twist.
The couple looked smitten to be back together as Harrison revealed “We aren’t boyfriend and girlfriend but we will get there very soon”. Reflecting on his time in the villa, Harrison said he was ‘upset’ that Lauren was so down after Toni chose him to recouple with, despite asking Toni to choose him.
Harrison said he and Lauren still ‘gravitated’ towards one another, stating: “Spending the last two days with Toni made me realise Lauren was the one for me”. Harrison said his feelings for Tony haven’t ‘disappeared’ but he knew the relationship ‘wasn’t right’ for him.
Sitting next to Lauren on the After Sun sofa, he said: “I am so happy with my decision”, while Lauren said: “I feel like him leaving the villa showed me everything I needed to know. It was a big decision to make”.
Reflecting on her relationship with Toni, Lauren said: “I had no issue with her from the beginning. I feel like Harrison was the problem in this situation, I have nothing against her”. When host Maya Jama asked what is next for the sweet couple, Harrison said: “We just wanna spend some time together, go on a few dates, get to know each other away from the cameras and microphones.”

Lauren’s exit came after her partner, Ty, was coupled with new arrival Angel, leaving her single and dumped from the island. The dumping came as a shock to all islanders, especially Harrison, who was in a couple with American bombshell Toni at the time.
After reading out the text, Lauren broke down to tears and pleaded with Harrison to leave the villa with her. During a private chat, Harrison asked Lauren if she was willing to give it another go, to which Lauren said she would if he left with her.
The boys told him to sleep on it and not make any rash decisions, so Harrison decided to stay for the night. The next day, Harrison confided in Harry and Dejon, saying he’d made his mind up and wanted to make Lauren his girlfriend on the outside.

He then gathered the rest of the Islanders around the firepit, as he said an emotional goodbye.
In an emotional speech, Harrison said: “Prior to the Villa I wanted to find a girlfriend, someone I want to introduce to my family, and I think I’ve found that…. Mine and Lauren’s connection was something special. I wanted to stay true to myself and follow my heart.”
He added: “I just wanted to see thank you all for making this crazy experience the best one of my life.”

The drama over the previous days had been intense as Harrison navigated a divisive love triangle with Lauren and fellow islander Toni Laites, juggling both women romantically but ultimately deciding that Lauren was the girl for him.

Despite plenty of shoppers loving the Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Radiant Concealer, one didn’t get on with the formula saying: “Tried to love this… found it drying and wasn’t great at covering dark circles. It gives a fair amount of coverage if you don’t have major eye bags or discolouration etc.”
Other shoppers were pleased with their purchase, however, with another writing: “Lovely and lightweight under the eyes . Definitely makes me look less tired.” Another dubbed the concealer their ‘favourite’, commenting “I have tried hundreds of concealers over the years and this is by far my favourite.
“Medium coverage, which is good for natural every day and also buildable for more full coverage.” A third who titled their review ‘fab’ wrote “Love this concealer – easy to apply and lovely consistency.”
Former Love Island runner-up Siannise Fudge has spoken out against the current series of the ITV2 dating show – as she opens up about her previous relationship abuse

Former Love Island star Siannise Fudge has spoken out and says it’s “disturbing” that toxic behaviours are being “normalised” on the show.
The behaviour from the male contestants during the 12th series of the show has been blasted by some fans. Many called Harrison’s behaviour ‘petrifying’ after his love triangle with Lauren and Toni. Harrison had slept with Lauren twice, and had later asked Toni, who was unaware of the events, to couple up with him – leaving Lauren in tears.
Women’s Aid later shared a statement which, in part, read: “Despite these positive steps, we still see unhealthy patterns of behaviour on these shows, showing just how steeped in misogyny and sexism our society still is. Women are often lied to, slut-shamed and manipulated, as well as laughed at behind their backs.
“Misogyny and sexism lay the foundation for the tolerance of abuse and violence – it reinforces a culture that excuses and trivialises violence against women and girls. More must be done to educate contestants on sexism and misogyny, and it is a great credit to viewers who take to social media, continuing to call out these behaviours as soon as they see them.”
Siannise shared a post detailing her experiences(Image: siannisefudge/Instagram)
Now, Siannise, who finished as runner-up during the 2020 series, has called out the show while referencing an abusive relationship of her own. Siannise did not reveal who the partner was.
The former Love Island star posted a quote from model Bella Hadid, before sharing her own experiences. The quote read: “I constantly went back to men that abused me. I would become silent and cry… [As a] people pleaser… I was putting my worth in the hands of someone else.”
“I have been a victim in my past relationships of this behaviour, which I thought was normal, and that’s the scariest part. It’s so disappointing and very disturbing that this behaviour on national TV, especially on one of the biggest TV shows, is being normalised,” Siannise wrote.
“Those girls deserve so much more, they deserve to be respected and my heart goes out to them. I’m sure they will need a lot of support when they are out as I know the intensity of that environment and having to deal with that behaviour on top is just awful.”
Siannise praised her current boyfriend and said she had been waiting for him her whole life(Image: siannisefudge/Instagram)
“This whole thread speaks volumes and I’m gonna leave it here. Please read and I hope this helps understand why this will never be ok and should never be tolerated,” she concluded.
Later sharing a post from Women’s Aid, titled “What’s going on with the men in Love Island this year?” Siannise wrote alongside the caption: “It’s been so disturbing watching for me this year, especially as a previous islander. The behaviour has been shocking and it really hasn’t been about finding love, it’s been about power, control, and emotional abuse.
“It’s very concerning that this is being normalised on national TV,” she said. The former Love Island star then posted a picture of her boyfriend, footballer George Rigg, as she wrote: “Thank you for being my safety, my peace, and showing me what a real healthy love is. Been waiting for you my whole life.”
Before entering the Love Island villa, which is monitored 24/7, Islanders complete video training and guidance across a range of topics to include mutually respectful behaviour in relationships, behaviour patterns associated with controlling and coercive behaviour and language around disability, sexuality, race and ethnicity, and microaggressions before they meet their fellow Islanders.
Extensive show protocols include suspending social media, training in language and behaviour and ongoing support before, during and after filming.
Programme contributors will be offered a full package of measures to ensure they remain supported prior to, during and after the filming period on the show.

Love Island stars Lauren and Harrison have broken their silence following their emotional double exit during last night’s episode – as they open up on their future plans
Despite recently rekindling things with Toni, the pair had gone their separate ways in prior episodes, as Harrison told the rest of the Islanders he had found a girlfriend in Lauren as he made an emotional exit.
Now, the pair have broken their silence ever since leaving, as they discuss their plans for the future. When asked what was next for himself and Lauren on the outside, Harrison said: “We’ll make the distance work! It will be no issue. We left on good terms, but the two days prior to leaving, we weren’t talking properly, so it would be good to have a conversation, get everything out in the open and hopefully move forward from there.”
Harrison decided to leave following Lauren’s dumping(Image: ITV)
“I feel very strongly about the girl, I wouldn’t have left if I didn’t. I have no doubt in my mind that she’ll be my girlfriend one day. I’m buzzing to see her and reunite! She’s such a great girl.”
During their time in the villa, Lauren and Harrison left viewers in shock after Harry and Helena were seen passing a condom over to Harrison in the middle of the night. Asked on how he feels about his parents having witnessed him “have sex” on TV, the footballer said: “I hope they didn’t see!
“But listen, it was a natural thing. I don’t think I intended to have sex in the Villa but in there all the Islanders could tell we were so attracted to each other, naturally it was going to happen. The spark between us was crazy! I probably wasn’t thinking about my parents and them watching it but it naturally happened and I don’t regret it.”
Harrison had an emotional chat with Toni before his exit – as he says he’d like to remain friends(Image: ITV)
Elsewhere, Harrison said he hopes to be friends with Toni on the outside, but understands if she doesn’t feel the same way. “I’d like to think we could be friends. I did her wrong a few times in there so I understand if she doesn’t want to reciprocate that. The conversation prior to me leaving was a big moment for me and her,” he said.
“You could tell by me getting emotional, I was upset about how I’ve acted and upset about Toni being upset as well. Similarly, if someone treated my sister like I’d treated Toni in there obviously I’d be mortified. I wanted to apologise to her and I think she could see I was being genuine. I’m happy with how things were left.”
As for Lauren, she said she “100%” sees a future on the outside with Harrison. “I’d love to see where it could go,” she said before he left.
“I’m hoping that he comes out so that we can be together. I see myself being with him long term as I haven’t had a connection like that with someone in such a long time. I know what we had was real despite what everyone else thinks. He has done wrong and made stupid mistakes, but he knows that and believes it was the wrong thing to do.”
The pair seem loved up for now, but if there’s one thing Harrison would change – it’d be who he went to for advice. In the villa we saw him close to Harry and Dejon, but he now regrets going to Harry for advice.
“I went to Harry a few times asking for advice. On reflection, he was probably the worst person to go to for advice! He does have a serious side but if I was ever to get into the situation again, I probably wouldn’t go to him again, his advice was horrendous!” he exclaimed. “The trio was something special, the banter was flying, we were so close in there. I’m sad to leave them.”

Love Island viewers have threatened to report the show to Ofcom over scenes where Islander Shakira Khan was left sobbing over her treatment by the boys including Conor Phillips

Love Island viewers have threatened to “call Ofcom” as they criticised the “nasty” treatment of one girl in the villa. Fans of the reality dating show saw things take a savage turn among the residents after the latest recoupling.
Shakira Khan and Conor Phillips officially became a thing after they ditched their Casa Amor partners to couple up.
“We had a conversation – me, you and H – basically what was said was, you like him more than Ty. But I don’t think you like Con as much as you like Harry.”
Shakira was seen distraught
Moving on to another category Shakira then admitted to Conor: “I’d laugh if this was us now.” However, when she got a frosty reception from him for her joke, she then swiped: “Oh, he’s not laughing, okay.”
After the game Conor went for a chat with Harrison, Harry and Dejon, as they mulled over the events of the challenge. Following that discussion he pulled Shakira for a chat, where she slammed what the other boys had been saying to him as “b******s”.
She added: “It’s been twisted. I told you that and you just wanted to believe the boys straight away.” Shakira was then seen breaking down in tears and sobbing as she discussed the argument with Toni, saying: “Why are they trying to create this narrative like I’m obsessed with [Harry]? I don’t get it.
“They’re all just so fake! I’m surrounded by fake f*****g people who smile in your face and chat s**t about you behind your back.”
Spurred on by seeing her bestie upset by the boys the next day Toni called out Harry, Harrison and Dejon for their behaviour as she ripped into them for reducing Shakira to tears.

Viewers were left disgusted by the scenes and took to X to slam the behaviour. One wrote: “Everybody should write to ofcom because the way Shakira Khan has been treated is nasty #LoveIsland.”
A second added: “The boys reaction to Shakira being upset is telling everything about them.” A third said: “Seeing shakira that upset is so heartbreaking #LoveIsland I can’t watch these villainous men anymore.”
While a fourth social media user shared: “I’m not joking after this episode, I will write a letter to ofcom about how the islanders are mistreating Shakira.” A fifth agreed: “Ofcom will be hearing from me, these people are bullying shakira.”
