In total, the experience will sprawl across 10,000sqm and offer a gladiator ‘training facility’ as well as behind-the-scene insights.
Challenges include The Wall, Eliminator, Hang Tough, Duel and Travelator.
While little details have been revealed about what the different features look like, fans can expect the real-life challenges to be similar to the ones on the show.
For example, in Duel, contenders and gladiators face off on raised platforms, by trying to knock each other off.
Then for The Wall, two contenders race to climb a large wall, whilst being chased by two gladiators.
For the Hang Tough challenge, contenders must swing on a trapeze as gladiators try to drag them down.
Visitors will then also be able to see behind the scenes of the TV show in the Vault.
And if they want to develop their skills further, they can head to the Gladiator Training Facility.
There will also be a shop where fans can purchase exclusive merchandise.
The experience will be open to all ages and expected to launch in May 2026.
Ticket prices and when they will go on sale are yet to be announced.
The show originally launched back in the 90s and is currently in its third revival.
On the show, contenders compete against gladiators in a series of challenges to earn points.
The show finishes after a final race called The Eliminator, where the contender with the most points gets a head start.
The winner is then the first person to complete the obstacle course.

Dom Bird, senior vice president at MGM Alternative Television said: “Now, fans young and old will get one step closer to walking in the footsteps of their heroes, as we announce our brand new Gladiators Experience.
“Based at the NEC Birmingham, everyone finally has the chance to test their skills on the iconic games – from Duel and Hang Tough, to The Wall, and of course the legendary Travelator.
WIMBLEDON legends are thrilled to see Thomas Tuchel go full Crazy Gang in England’s bid for World Cup glory.
The England boss is taking a leaf out of the Dons playbook by telling his Three Lions to use long throws and big goal-kicks to secure their first major trophy since 1966.

Wimbledon shocked Liverpool to win the FA Cup in 1988Credit: Getty
Wimbledon were renowned for their direct and physical style of play both during the 1980s and 1990s.
As well as climbing from non-league to the top tier, they also pulled off one of football’s biggest shocks to beat Liverpool in the 1988 FA Cup final at Wembley.
Former Dons manager Dave Bassett told Sun Sport: “I think Tuchel’s on the right lines.
“The purists have been living in fantasy land. Even Manchester City use the long ball more. Our old ways are catching on.
“If you can get the ball forward — not aimlessly — and get players running in behind, it unsettles defences.
“People panic more with long throws than they ever do with corners — they become frightened to death.
“Going sideways and backwards doesn’t get you goals.
“We didn’t hang around. The players knew it was one-touch and going into the box. But we did not get the credit because people called it anti-football.”
Bassett backs Tuchel’s decision to leave Jude Bellingham out of his latest squad — raising the possibility the Real Madrid superstar may not even feature in the USA, Canada and Mexiconextsummer.
The 81-year-old added: “Tuchel needs to decide what formation he wants and which players best suit his system and share his vision.
Thomas Tuchel explains England squad selection for Wales and Latvia fixtures with Foden and Bellingham out
“Bellingham is a very good player but if he’s not conducive to the team spirit, then tough luck on Bellingham. One person cannot hold the team to ransom.
“When you go away, Tuchel can’t have moody, selfish people who are not sold on his ideas.
“If players are suspect he won’t take them — even if they may be great players.”
Bobby Gould took the reins after Bassett fell out with Dons owner Sam Hammam — and led them to their most famous win.
His first masterstroke after taking over the Crazy Gang was hiring ex-England coach Don Howe.
And Gould, 79, said: “England’s loss was Wimbledon’s gain with Don.
“We just added a bit more quality rather than ripping it up and starting again. It worked wonders.
“Don was Arsenal through and through and steeped in tradition — but even he got into the mind games.
“In the Wembley dressing room he told every player and staff member to put their watch back ten minutes.
“When the referee came to tell us to get into the tunnel, Don said, ‘no, not yet your watch must be wrong’. So off the ref went, we kept Kenny Dalglish & Co waiting — and that was our first victory of the day.”
Tuchel’s England exploits remind Gould of the Dons’ good old days.
He added: “England have scored a couple of goals under Tuchel right out of the Wimbledon playbook.
“But it showed our much-maligned tactics still work because the opposition don’t know what’s hit them when you get forward quickly and slaughter them with crosses or long throws.
“Mentally and physically you’ve got to be in it together and that gets the opposition thinking, ‘what have we got to do to stop them?’”
Wembley goal hero Lawrie Sanchez went on to use his Wimbledon experience as Northern Ireland manager.
And he masterminded a shock 1-0 victory over Sven-Goran Eriksson’s England at Windsor Park 20 years ago.
Sanchez, 65, said: “The thing the Crazy Gang had is we were greater than the sum of our parts.
“Whether you could get away with half the gamesmanship we got up to with 24 cameras focused on games is a different matter.
“But on the football side, the set-plays, strength of the characters, strong team ethic and belief in what we were doing would still stand us in good stead.
“We were stats-based well before stats came into play and our set-plays were the logical development from that stat-based stuff. We did set-plays in training boringly for hours on Thursdays and Fridays — but it paid off.
“Whether you can get that in an England team in a short space of time is a different matter.
“But they’ve been doing the same thing for the last 59 years and not won anything.”
Full-back Nigel Winterburn helped Wimbledon to a couple of promotions under Bassett but left for Arsenal a year before the cup glory.
He said: “No one liked us because of the way we played but we were often cast-offs with a determination to prove people wrong.
“Boy-oh-boy we intimidated a lot of teams.”
But the likes of John Fashanu and Vinny Jones met their match when they faced the British Army.
Winterburn, 61, said: “Dave Bassett liked to bond everyone in pre-season.
“We’d get a typed itinerary saying which five-star hotel awaited.
“But we would end up in the most basic places — usually with the army.
“Once we had to camp out overnight, attack a mock fort and rescue a so-called prisoner.
“It ended up in chaos with Fash and Vinny fighting soldiers.
“There were weird and wonderful times. It forged a togetherness that made sure we were always there to help team-mates.”
Away from the legends game, news broke earlier today that Ibrahima Konate has pulled out the France squad.
The centre-back has a right quadriceps injury and has been receiving “treatment and following protocol” since joining up with his international team-mates.
Kalou’s new venture
Salomon Kalou has a surprising way of keeping busy in retirement.
The Ivory Coast star played in the match today, which means he had some time off from running his chocolate company Oume.
Kalou hopes to see it on the shelves of UK shops soon.
Garden of Eden
Roberto Di Matteo was delighted to be reunited with icon Eden Hazard this afternoon.
The former boss said: “He was a special player. I think from the first minute he wore the Chelsea shirt, everybody fell in love with him.
“You could see the talent he had, even though he was only 19 back then.
“He showed his capabilities and his qualities over the years and had a very successful stint here with us.
“Thank you to him that he came today and showed again some of his qualities.
“I think the people absolutely loved seeing him on the pitch for Chelsea today.”
‘Connected for life’
Roberto Di Matteo spoke about his iconic Chelsea squad which won the 2012 Champions League as he returned to the dugout today.
Di Matteo said: “When you win a competition, a trophy, it connects you for the rest of your life.
“Every time we get together, it’s a great feeling and a lot of emotions to see these players again that managed to lift the trophy with the big ears!
“They always turn up when we call them for these sort of games.
“They love to come back and put the blue shirt on.
“We’ve created a lot of memories for the players and for the supporters as well.
“Overall, it’s a wonderful day today to see all these guys again. I wish them all good health.”
Friends again?
Diego Costa has just took to Instagram to post this snap alongside his rival Martin Skrtel.
The tough guys appear to be mates… for now!
Hazard’s return
Fans were delighted to see Eden Hazard glide across the pitch one again.”
One supporter said: “Eden Hazard is not just a footballer, he’s an entertainer!”
A second reacted: “Hazard strolling around on the Stamford Bridge turf. I’m not crying, you are.”
A third wrote: “He’s been superb, Diego Costa has been a menace to the Liverpool back line….these guys still got it in them.”
The sun is shining and planes are flying over the place that so many of these legends would still call home.
Eden Hazard and Diego Costa have come out on the pitch with the rest of the squad for a team photo, and Petr Cech even stays to sign autographs and take pictures with fans.
That’s what it’s all about!

Reddit sleuths have unearthed an old article from October 8, 1995 that confirmed they were once a couple who were “madly in love”.
The story was from when actor Phil was at the height of his Corrie fame.
Alison, however, who was just 22 at the time, was not famous and was referred to as a “surf shop girl” in the story.
In the article Phil claimed that he had “bedded 100 women” but was now “in love” with Alison.
Posting the story on the discussion forum, fans went wild at this revelation.
One wrote: “No way!!”
Another added: “How random,”
This Corrie fan said: “I still can’t get my head around this!”
A fourth added: “Small world!”
Phil Middlemiss stars as Des in Coronation Street
According to reports the pair dated for five years, Phil telling the Scottish Daily Record: “I’ve never been happier. She is a wonderful girl. I love her to death.”
They reportedly met at a Tenerife bar in March 1995, before splitting in 2000.
Phil confessed: “I was in love with Allie. She’s the only person I’ve ever really loved.
“But she was working in London and I was in Manchester.

“In another life, if I had been a bus driver and she had worked at the local baker’s shop, we would have got married and had kids by now.”
Corrie fans will well remember lothario Des Barnes who graced the cobbles throughout the 90s.
Actor Phil was a regular fixture of the ITV soap from 1990 to 1998 when he quit the show.
Phil’s character Des was known for being a charming ladies man.

On the soap he was married to Natalie Barnes, the Rovers landlady played by Loose Women star Denise Welch.
However, during his time on Coronation Street, Des went onto to also have an off-again romance with Raquel, who was played by the legendary Sarah Lancashire.
Raquel later moved onto her famous screen partner, Curly Watts, but it was Des that played havoc with the pair in a bid to get revenge on Raquel leaving him.
Des even sabotaged their engagement party as an act of jealousy and rage.

Since quitting the cobbles in the late 90s, when his character was killed off, Phil has enjoyed a varied career mixed with a series of personal setbacks.
In 2012, the actor faced bankruptcy after a film he had put his life-saving into in 2008 failed to take off as a result of the financial crisis.
It forced Phil to take money from family and friends as he told the Manchester Evening News: “It was partly-funded by myself but I didn’t have the money to fund the rest of the film.
“Filming came to a grinding halt. It was nearly three-quarters of the way along the line. It has been a difficult time. Three-and-a-half years is a long time to fund myself without any income.
” I have had to get money from family and friends.”
Meanwhile, his former girlfriend Alison joined the soap in 2006, almost a decade after Phil left, and six years after their split.
The actress’ character Carla is best known for being the boss of the knicker factory, Underworld.
Over the last two decades she has been involved in numerous high-profile storylines, from steamy affairs to battles with alcoholism.
This is turn has seen her win numerous awards, including Best Actress at the British Soap Awards in 2012.
Coronation Street Spoilers: News & Cast Updates
The beloved British soap has been captivating audiences for decades.
The show follows the lives of the residents as they navigate love, loss, family drama, and community struggles.
Rea – who fights Lyndon Arthur on November 1 – is in attendance and opened up on his special bond with the heroic Hitman.

He told SunSport: “I was lucky that I did have a good relationship and we were friends.
“But I think so many people, even people that maybe just met him once, maybe people that just got a picture with him once, seeing him in the pub or whatever, because of the way he was, everyone feels like they have that kind of personal connection with him.
“He was just down to earth and he was just one of us at the end of the day, no matter how big he made it.
“I think that’s why it has affected so many people and everyone does kind of feel like they know him in a way because he was so down to earth.
“So it’s been a tough one for me to take. It’s been a tough one for most of the boxing scene to take.”
Despite becoming inseparable, Rea admits the novelty of Hatton’s presence in his life never wore off.
I was last person to interview Ricky Hatton – I was gutted when our chat ended
He said: “It just kind of merged into one. I was with him so much and I’d see him so often and we’d spend so much time together in the gym kind of every day.
“You do kind of forget how big he was, how loved he was, and how many people he had an effect on.
“Then every now and again you’d be out sparring or you’d be walking down a residential street somewhere and you’d go, ‘It’s Ricky.’ You know what I mean?
“It’s not just Rick, this is the Hitman and, yeah every now and again I kind of had to pinch myself a little bit and go, ‘This is Ricky Hatton I’m sat in Nando’s with.’ It was a bit surreal.”
Despite Hatton’s superstardom and unrivalled fanfare – he dreaded ever being looked at as anything other than a working class people’s champion.
Rea said: “He was just one of the boys at the end of the day.
“He was so down to earth and that was why the other side come with it he didn’t think he was better than anyone else.

“He didn’t think he was a superstar and I think they probably go hand in hand, kind of just being so down to earth and then still being taken back by all the support.”
Two-weight world champion Hatton would spend 12 hard weeks preparing for his fights – and the rest of his time down the pub with his friends.
Rea was fortunate enough to have socialised with the boxing great – preferring to leave some of their more chaotic tales forever untold.
He beamed: “Oh, there’s so many. There’s so many but all of them I’m just laughing, I’m smiling because it’s just stupid times, rubbish jokes, cracking rubbish jokes.
“I’m lucky that I got multiple different sides of him. I got him as a coach, I had him as part of my team in my corner. I had him as a friend.
“I’ve been to the football with him. I’ve been out for a beer with him, I’ve been on a weekend to Dublin with him, I’ve had all different sides of him.
“I’ve got many memories to kind of look back on. Some stories that I can tell and some I’ll probably keep to myself!”

Some of their tales will always remain untoldCredit: @bradrea_
Rea was hit with the devastating news just months before his European title defence against Arthur at the Co-Op Live Arena.
And he has since returned to Hatton’s Hyde – where emotions are high.
Rea, 27, said: “I’d not been there for a while. It is a bit surreal. It is a little bit weird.
“Every time I’ve been in there, the majority of the time he’s in there, and he’s cracking jokes, you know, he’s being Rick.
“But at the end of the day there’s me, there’s a load of other lads in there that still got a job to do and he’d be disappointed if we were moping about and we weren’t training.
“He’d want us to get back at it and he want us to crack on and. So you’ve kind of just got to keep cracking on and do what you can to try and make him proud.”
And the best way to make City super-fan Hatton proud? Beat United supporter Arthur – a friend of former sparring partner – in their hometown.
Rea chuckled: “You know what it is? It’s more how we’d react if I let myself get beat by a United fan!
“He would never let me hear the end of it. He would be on my case and I can’t do that to him. I can’t let him down on that front.”

The Rocket took to Instagram to say: “So sad to hear of the passing of my friend Mika, someone I did not see enough of but thought a great deal of.

Artificial intelligence and its invasiveness in our everyday lives might be endlessly discussed among academics, government officials and social media provocateurs, but Los Angeles Comic Con has injected a dose of gamma radiation and showmanship into that debate.
Stan Lee has entered the chat.
L.A. Comic Con is introducing its Stan Lee Experience, a 1,500-square-foot booth in Aisle 200 that features an AI-powered holographic image of the late comic book legend that interacts with attendees. Curious fans can ask questions of “Stan Lee” and probe dozens of years’ worth of comic book and comic book-related data that’s been fed into the AI, which has been drawn from footage, conversations and even Stan Lee’s Soapbox — where Lee would expand on happenings of the day or riff on comic book goings-on in the back pages of Marvel comics from 1967 through 1980.
Chris DeMoulin, chief executive and general manager of L.A. Comic Con parent Comikaze Entertainment Inc., says the Stan Lee AI project took months of planning and years of being connected to the parties involved.
“For me, personally, one of the most thrilling things of my entire life was getting to work with Stan Lee when this was Stan Lee’s Comic Con and Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo before that. What was such a joy was watching him interact with fans. Old fans and then people that were bringing their 8-year-old kid who had just read their first Spider-Man comic book,” said DeMoulin, who has collected comics from an early age.
“This avatar, to us, is an entry point into the world of storytelling that he created. We wanted to create something which can be part of maintaining and expanding on that legacy so that Stan’s role in creating a lot of this is acknowledged.”
The hologram, at least the one on the show floor, is not really a hologram. With a box built by Proto Inc., the company that also launched an interactive mirror from “The Conjuring,” and Hyperreal, a company whose chief executive Remington Scott helped bring Gollum and Smeagol to life for Peter Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings” movies and creates realistic avatars, it is an interactive Stan Lee image that processes questions and formulates responses.
“Hologram is a technology that’s different than this. This is more of an avatar presence, or a telepresence, if you will. Unlike ChatGPT, this is not a web crawler. This is a large language model which has got guardrails on it,” says George Johnson, a member of the Hyperreal technical team.
“It’s specifically Stan’s words. Red carpet interviews, everything he wrote, like Stan’s Soapbox, but with guardrails. Meaning, if you ask him sports questions or politics questions, he’s not going to answer those. But the Stan Lee Universe is feeding us more and more stuff that we can add to the model.”
David Nussbaum, Proto Inc. founder and chairman, knows that Stan Lee is only the first step for this technology.
“Any Proto device can have any piece of content in it, and we also beam people in live. So if you’re interviewing someone in Japan, you could beam there and appear like you are physically among them,” Nussbaum said. “These are great for classrooms, museums, labs, retail.”
Proto technology is also HIPAA-compliant, he said, meaning doctors and patients can use it to have “in-person” consultations without being in a room together.
As it learns, it can — as AI does — go a bit off script. While folks behind the scenes said they didn’t want Stan Lee to be used as an advertising gimmick, its makers had asked it so many questions about Coca-Cola, it had changed its answer from a generic “I don’t deal with that kind of thing” to a thoughtful answer where, at the end, Lee says, “Who wouldn’t want to be in business with the company that been quenching thirsts for a hundred years?”
That was Stan — ever the showman.
The Stan Lee Experience costs $15 plus service fees with tickets available for purchase via the L.A. Comic Con website. The pop culture gathering runs through Sunday at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Gogglebox stars Dave and Shirley Griffiths have been married for 49 years and have been a part of the Channel 4 show since 2015 – but they were cruelly trolled online

Gogglebox viewers have come together to defend cherished stars Dave and Shirley Griffiths after nasty internet bullies took aim at them online.
The Welsh duo initially appeared on the Channel 4 programme back in 2015 – and it wasn’t long before they captured viewers’ hearts.
Throughout the years, Dave and Shirley – who have been wed for 49 years and are mum and dad to two youngsters – have left audiences in hysterics with their side-splitting quips and observations about the newest television offerings.
Beyond the programme, Dave and Shirley consistently update their supporters via their Instagram account – which boasts a remarkable 208k followers.
On Friday (September 19) the couple posted on the social media site and revealed a sweet snapshot of themselves whilst on their overseas getaway, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Dave and Shirley displayed their affection in the photograph as they grinned towards the lens. They wrote alongside the image “Happy #gogglebox Friday everyone #fresheveryfriday don’t forget tonight #channel4 9pm drinks and snacks out it’s gogglebox time.”
Nevertheless, whilst numerous Dave and Shirley admirers were thrilled by their post, the duo faced a barrage of vicious remarks from online tormentors.
Racing to the couple’s defence, one supporter penned: “These are funny people on Gogglebox but why do people have to make comments about her face we are all getting older and you can’t do much if you’re prone to wrinkles give her a break.”
The backing wasn’t missed by Dave and Shirley who ‘liked’ the message. Another devotee also commented: “People can be so mean.”
To fans’ absolute joy, Dave and Shirley have made their comeback for the fresh Gogglebox series – which kicked off earlier this year. Nevertheless, things are looking rather different, as it was confirmed in July that cherished stars Roisin Kelly and Joe Kyle wouldn’t be making a return.
The pair etched their names into Gogglebox folklore as the inaugural Scottish duo to join the programme back in February 2022.
Breaking the news of their exit from the Channel 4 programme, Roisin turned to TikTok to deliver the disappointing news, penning: “After three and a half years of sitting on the sofa channel 4 have decided it’s time for Joe and I to stretch our legs and have not asked us back for season 26.”
Gogglebox continues every Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.

Eisa Al Dah, 46, was due to be the next person to face the Hitman in the ring in Dubai on December 2.
He has now broken his silence following the news of Hatton’s death.
He told The National: “In just a couple of hours, I was [going to see] him here in Dubai.
“We booked the hotel. We booked the [plane] ticket. Everything had been arranged.
“From my side, I was checking everything, and I was so excited to see him over here and visit us here in Dubai.
“And he was also excited. But suddenly, I get this news from his managers. My heart is broken.
“Since knowing I will fight him, I became very close to him, seeing his news, following him on Instagram.
“I follow his life, how he trained, everything. I cannot believe it. I wish somebody told me this is wrong.
“I’ve been through many things in my life in the boxing or business.
“But this is something that I cannot believe.”

The picture-perfect village of Beddgelert in the heart of Eryri/Snowdonia National Park is a hidden gem that’s well worth a visit – and it’s even home to some Welsh myths and legends
Beddgelert is steeped in mythical history which is no surprise given it’s landscape(Image: Getty)
Whilst countless tourists speed past en route to conquer Mount Snowdon, this postcard-perfect settlement deserves a proper visit.
Embraced by sweeping emerald valleys, meandering waterways and framed by towering peaks, Beddgelert conceals centuries of fascinating heritage and serves as home to captivating Welsh folklore.
The stone-constructed village spans a gurgling brook and serves as an ideal base for discovering the area’s walking routes and pathways, from the Aberglaslyn Pass southward, Nant Gwyan eastward, or tackling Snowdon northward.
The Beddgelert website emphasises the local landscape shouldn’t be overlooked, saying: “Wooded vales, rocky slopes and mountain lakes fill the surrounding countryside.”, reports the Express.

“And what a countryside it is, with scenery, activities, attractions, history and culture for all.”
Welsh tourism specialists confirm “everyone loves Beddgelert”, with its mythical roots enhancing its appeal further.
Beddgelert’s name translates to “Gelert’s grave”, linking the settlement to the medieval tale of Llywelyn the Great and his loyal dog Gelert.
Legend tells how Llywelyn came home to discover his infant gone and Gelert bloodied around the muzzle.
Believing Gelert had harmed his child, Llywelyn slayed his faithful companion. Only moments later, he heard his child’s cry and found them safe and sound, next to a slain wolf that Gelert had bravely defended the child from.
Overcome with grief and regret for killing his faithful dog, Llywelyn held a grand funeral for Gelert in the village.
A tomb was built for the heroic dog by a local landlord in the 18th century, with a walk and trail offering a splendid way to discover the village and its surrounding hills.

Once you’ve returned, the quaint yet welcoming village offers plenty of activities to keep you entertained, whether it’s snuggling up in one of the hotels, B&Bs, or guesthouses or spending the afternoon by a fire at a local pub.
Despite its legendary status, Beddgelert remains a small hamlet, home to fewer than 500 residents, but it is brimming with warmth and charm.
Its cobbled streets, medieval stone cottages, and pubs transport you back to a storybook setting, making it an ideal autumn destination, with Fine Country event naming it as one of the UK’s “prettiest autumn villages”.
For a unique perspective on the village’s history, the nearby Sygun Copper Mine is worth a visit. Copper has been mined in the Snowdon valleys for centuries, with some sources even dating it back to Roman times.
But for a glimpse into its more recent past, Beddgelert is also situated on the historic Welsh Highland Railway, which runs from Caernarfon to Porthmadog.
Good afternoon and welcome to SunSport’s live blog of Celtic vs Man Utd legends!
The two European powerhouses meet again in a star-studded charity match.
Last year, Celtic claimed the bragging rights as Gary Hooper’s second half strike cancelled out Wayne Rooney’s stunning free-kick to take the match to penalties.
The Scottish giants prevailed on spot kicks, winning 5-4 after five perfect penalties.
Today, the likes of Michael Carrick, Joe Hart, Dimitar Berbatov and Darren Fletcher will all roll back the years.
SunSport will bring you minute-by-minute coverage of today’s huge charity match.
A 14-YEAR-OLD snooker player secured the first win of his professional career on day one of the Saudi Arabia Masters.
And at the other end of the age scale, Ken Doherty won the Battle of the Baize Oldies as he eliminated Jimmy White from the Jeddah tournament.

Polish teenager Michal Szubarczyk hit back-to-back breaks of 68 and 56 as he celebrated a 4-2 victory over English amateur Ryan Davies.
It is a career milestone, one he will remember forever, given he only received his two-year Tour Card at the start of this season.
In round two in the desert nation, Szubarczyk will play Hungarian world No.79 Bulcsu Revesz on Saturday.
And the winner of that clash will then take on Essex cueist Stuart Bingham, who was champion of the world 10 years ago.
The Eastern European – whose highest official break is 126 – took the 2025 European Championships in Turkey by storm, winning the under-16s and under-18s events before reaching the final of the open-age event.
Mark Williams, the three-time world champion, watched that tournament live and said Szubarczyk was “one of the best 14-year-olds I’ve ever seen in my life”.
The Welsh sporting legend added: “He’s up there with Ronnie O’Sullivan at that age.
“Maybe not as good, but not far away. Every time I watched him he was knocking in 80s, 90s, 100s. It was frightening.”
In April, dad Kamil told SunSport that his son modelled his game on seven-time world champion O’Sullivan.
Kamil said: “One of Michal’s special skills is his ability to play with the audience and the cameras.
Snooker fans baffled as star who’s not won a match all year knocks in staggering 147 break
“Normal teenagers are tense and stressed. He is more motivated.
“He loves playing when he has an audience, and so I know that anything can happen during this tournament.
“From the first time Michał saw snooker on TV, his hero was Ronnie. It was also my idol. This hasn’t been changed.
“And for both of us whenever Ronnie got knocked out of a tournament, we stopped watching it.
“That man played a key role in creating Michal’s playing style. Mike was fascinated by how offensive Ronnie played all of his games. But he wants to be more than just offensive.
“Ronnie is still motivating Michal to be better and better.”
On Friday evening in the Kingdom, two veterans of the sport took to the baize, though disappointingly only a few people bothered to watch from the stands at the Green Halls.
Former world champion Doherty, 55, took on White, 63, and he prevailed 4-1, hitting a 96 break in frame two.
They had rekindled a rivalry that began in 1991 and saw them battle it out at the World Championships and Masters.
The duo, who have a combined age of 118, are nowhere near their best these days but it is commendable and shows their genuine love for the sport that they are continuing to play professionally.
Doherty, who now plays Latvian Zizins Artemijs in round two on Saturday evening, has now won 17 of their 30 meetings.
Elite players such as Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump and Kyren Wilson will enter the competition – which has a £500,000 top prize – in round five on Tuesday.
List of all-time Snooker World Champions
BELOW is a list of snooker World Champions by year.
The record is for the modern era, widely considered as dating from the 1968-69 season, when the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) took control of the sport.
The first World Championships ran from 1927 – with a break from 1941-45 because of World War II and 1958-63 because of a dispute in the sport.
Joe Davis (15), Fred Davis and John Pulman (both 8) were the most successful players during that period.
He said: “They are having the “Hulkster’s” funeral today, and I thought everybody would enjoy seeing this picture.”
Gov. Ron DeSantis ordered flags flown at half-staff at all official buildings last Friday, which he declared Hulk Hogan Day in Florida.
Hogan was perhaps the biggest star in WWE’s long history, known for both his larger-than-life personality and his in-ring exploits.

He was the main draw for the first WrestleMania in 1985 and was a fixture for years, facing everyone from Andre The Giant and Randy Savage to The Rock and even WWE co-founder Vince McMahon.
He had a neck surgery in May, and was rushed to the hospital afterwards over complications with his recovery.
In June, he suffered a series of health issues that left him reportedly unable to feel his legs or walk with a cane.

Hogan’s body will be cremated.
His daughter Brooke Bollea Oleksy, better known by her stage name Brooke Hogan, memorialized her father in a recent social media post.
“I am so grateful I knew the real version of him. Not just the one the world viewed through a carefully curated lens, she wrote on Instagram.”
Just days before his death, Hogan and Brooke shared a short but emotional conversation, per the National Enquirer.
“It was a tearful conversation, albeit a short one,” a source told the outlet.
“Brooke told her dad how much she loved him, how much she missed him. Hulk said he loved her, and he was sorry.”
Instantly recognisable in trademark bandana and shaggy, blond handlebar moustache, Hogan had long been a larger-than-life icon for middle America.
Hogan became such a big star that he was able to transcend wrestling and starred in the movie The Rock III withSylvester Stallone, as well as securing his own reality TV show, Hogan Knows Best.
Born Terry Gene Bollea in Augusta,Georgia, in 1953, his dad was a construction foreman father and his mum was a dance teacher.
At school, he was called a hippy because of his longhair, love ofrock musicand hatred ofAmerican footballdespite his physique.

Doctor Who fans may be in for another huge surprise, as another fan favourite is rumoured to return to the series for a one off episode. Fans are still recovering from the news of Billie Piper’s return – and now show legend David Tennant has now been tipped reunite with her onscreen for “one last hurrah”.
David, who played the role of the Doctor between from 2005 to 2010, is rumoured to be in talks to star in a one off special with co-star Billie. The actress previously appeared as Rose Tyler, companion to the doctor between 2005 and 2006.
The pair recently reunited for the BBC special, Doctor Who: Unleashed, 20 Years in Wales where they reflected on their time together. In a sneak preview, Billie and David gushed over how much fun they had on set. Now, it looks like they could be having even more fun – by reuniting for a special anniversary episode.

“The BBC brought Doctor Who back in 2005 and there is talk about a possible one-off project to celebrate the 20th anniversary. David and Billie were a hugely popular partnership and he brought in the golden age of Doctor Who,” a source told The Sun.
“With the anniversary of the reboot this year there have been some ideas floated about with the idea of maybe bringing David and Billie back together for one last hurrah.”
It’s not the first time David would be making a shock return. In November 2023, he was officially revealed as the Fourteenth Doctor before handing the role over to Ncuti Gatwa.
Recently, Doctor Who fans were left stunned when it was announced Billie Piper had replaced Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor, with the character regenerating during the finale of science-fiction series Doctor Who.

Speaking about her return, Billie said: “It’s no secret how much I love this show, and I have always said I would love to return to the Whoniverse as I have some of my best memories there, so to be given the opportunity to step back on that Tardis one more time was just something I couldn’t refuse.”
In a statement released by the BBC, Ncuti Gatwa said: “You know when you get cast, at some point you are going to have to hand back that sonic screwdriver and it is all going to come to an end, but nothing quite prepares you for it.
“This journey has been one that I will never forget, and a role that will be part of me forever. There are no words to describe what it feels like to be cast as the Doctor, nor are there words to explain what it feels like to be accepted into this iconic role that has existed for over 60 years and is truly loved by so many across the globe.
“The fans are truly the final character and beating heart of this show, and I can’t thank the Whoniverse, and the Whovians, enough for welcoming me in and making this such a touching experience.
“I’ve loved every minute of it, but now is the time to hand over the keys to that beloved blue box and let someone else take control and enjoy it every bit as much as I have. I’ll truly miss it, and forever be grateful to it, and everyone that has played a part in my journey as the Doctor.”
There has been speculation that one Coronation Street legend could make their return to the show for their son’s funeral

Corrie legend’s future on ITV soap confirmed after on-screen son’s tragic murder(Image: ITV)
Coronation Street star Lisa George, who is best known as Beth Tinker on the long-running soap, left the show last year but fans have been speculating on her possible return for her on-screen son Craig’s (played by Colson Smith ) funeral. Last year, Lisa said: “As I filmed it I knew Beth was leaving and it was my final scene on the cobbles.
“Halfway through, when he called the cab to stop, and they got out I actually got really, quite tearful. I cried afterwards because it’s been this huge part of my life for such a long time.” Meanwhile, almost a year later, Beth’s police officer son died in brutal scenes on the ITV soap after a vicious attack at the hands of villain Mick Michaelis in the previous episode. Mick beat innocent Craig with a bat before leaving him for dead.
Fans believe Lisa could be reprising her role but sources claimed the funeral will be taking place off screen, so Lisa wouldn’t be back on the show.
“Craig’s funeral will take place away from Weatherfield with Beth very much involved – but she won’t be back on screen,” they said to The Sun. “It will all make sense for the story and there’s a very touching goodbye to Craig from his friends in the community instead.”
The Mirror have reached out to ITV for comment. Meanwhile, after Craig was rushed to the hospital, his nearest and dearest had been hopeful that he would survive despite his horrific injuries, including swelling on the brain following the brutal attack.

Speaking to Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard on This Morning, he went on to add: “When you get told you’re leaving a show, the one thing you ask is ‘Am I killed and how do I go?’ I wanted to be killed.
“I think that really was the right thing. I’ve been in that building since I was 12 years old. I know how it works; you pick up on vibes, you pick up on things.
“I told Jack and Ben, tonight’s the night, will you be there for me? I went up to the boss, and she said, ‘This isn’t going to be an easy conversation.’ I said, ‘Let’s get it out of the way.'”
Speaking about his meeting with Kate, he said: “Getting told is hard, hearing the words – I tried really hard not to put the words into her mouth. As soon as I knew, I was at peace with what was going on.”
Despite asking to be killed off from the soap, Colson admitted he had no idea how brutal it would be.
