A series that explores real unsolved murders is streaming on ITVX and viewers are “obsessed”.
Cold Justice follows former Texas prosecutor Kelly Siegler and her team of investigators as they look into old cases that nobody ever managed to crack.
Murders they explore include the death of a young journalist and the killing of a family of four on Halloween. Another episode focuses on a young man who discovers his father dead on his front steps.
The show, which first hit screens in 2013, has proved enormously popular with audiences, with many posting messages online saying that while it is “disturbing”, it makes for a “gripping” watch, reports Wales Online.
“Perhaps the best real crime show on TV,” one viewer wrote on IMDb.com. “I enjoy this show best of all the many crime shows I watch.”
Somebody else said they were “obsessed”, as another said: “Love the show… I’ve been hooked since the first episode.”
“Just found this show and I’m so addicted,” one person wrote on X, which was formerly Twitter.
“Kelly and her team plus the officers really care about these cold cases and want to solve them for the families to get their justice. Really feel Kelly has her heart 100% in this show and I’m hooked. Two seasons down in three days!”
“I’m obsessed with Cold Justice,” remarked somebody else. “I am always in absolute awe watching how brilliant @SieglerKelly is. She just seems like a kind, sympathetic, people person who actually wants to bring answers to these poor families.”
One fan said they had “never missed an episode”, adding: “I am beyond obsessed with the closure and hard work @SieglerKelly and her team do to help with these cases. If you haven’t watched Cold Justice you should definitely start.”
“It is the best show out there!” exclaimed another fan.
“It’s the best show on TV and helping so many families,” commented another.
Nine series of Cold Justice have aired since it began 13 years ago, with Kelly and the team helping to secure a number of arrests and convictions as a result of their investigative work.

A ‘phenomenal’ series that blends period drama with spine-chilling horror has been hailed by devoted fans as a ‘televisual masterpiece’.
Remarkably, the show is also rooted in a genuinely unsettling true story — and even better, it can be streamed right now at no additional cost.
At the time of writing, The Terror is currently available on both ITVX and Channel 5. The former additionally hosts its second season, though that particular instalment follows an entirely different storyline.
A third season was released in the US earlier this year, subtitled Devil In Silver. However, this chapter was adapted from a novel and has yet to reach UK audiences.
In the meantime, viewers can revisit the series from the very beginning. The Terror is a historical anthology drama, with its first two seasons drawing upon real-life events, though both remain fictionalised interpretations, reports OK!
Legendary director Ridley Scott serves as executive producer across both seasons. The opening season charts the journey of Royal Navy polar expedition vessels HMS Erebus and HMS Terror as they venture into uncharted waters, resolute in their mission to locate and confirm the existence of the fabled Northwest Passage.
The ships soon become trapped in ice, leaving the crew to endure savage conditions and mounting internal tensions, all while being stalked by a terrifying and mysterious presence. It draws inspiration from the actual 1845 Franklin Expedition, where those two vessels genuinely became trapped in ice within the Arctic while seeking the Northwest Passage.
However, the programme dramatises the potential terrors they might have encountered.
Meanwhile, the second series, titled Infamy, takes place along America’s western coastline during the Second World War, delving into Japanese bakemono folklore – a malevolent phantom that torments a Japanese American community from Southern California through to internment camps and Pacific battlefields.
Audiences have heaped praise upon the series, particularly its opening instalment. One enthusiast proclaimed: “It’s such a masterpiece that I watched it twice, back to back.”
Another added: “I binge-watched season one, couldn’t stop. Amazing performances.”
A fellow admirer wrote online: “I have watched a lot of horror shows and movies…but nothing makes me feel dread and unease like this one. The pacing is perfect, the atmosphere bleak, the music beautifully haunting, the dialogue is fantastic, and the story is amazing. Best horror show of all time for me.”
Meanwhile, one viewer declared: “Quite simply, a televisual masterpiece, mixing true-life tragedy, fictional horror and majestic period thriller. A magnificent accomplishment.”
Another viewer chimed in: “This is a remarkable series, which takes on a journey of suspicion, disaster, tragedy and terror. The first episode didn’t exactly captivate me, but by episode three I was obsessed, and subsequently had to binge watch the whole series.”

The pair are understood to have signed a seven-figure deal with media giant Banijay for the series, which launched on June 9.
It’s now been revealed that the first episode has clocked up over 8.4million streams across podcast platforms in the first seven days.
A source said: “Jamie and Becky could not be more happy with the success of their ITV show, and now the podcast figures have really given them a boost.
“It just serves to show they have a massive following.
“For the first week of a new podcast those numbers are fantastic. And, as for Banijay, they will be delighted with the initial return on their investment.”
The launch of the podcast, which will also feature regular guest appearances from Rebekah, 44, comes just a week after ITV aired three-part documentary The Vardys.
The show followed the family during his first year in Italy after he joined Serie A newcomers Cremonese.
That series – which consolidated at more than 1.1 million viewers – has proved to be an even bigger hit on the network’s streaming service ITVX – behind only entertainment juggernauts I’m A Celebrity, Britain’s Got Talent and Celebrity Sabotage in the ratings.
The next footballing destination for Leicester City legend Vardy – now 39 – is currently unknown.
However, the series and podcast illustrate his determination to build, with Rebekah, a powerful post-football brand – even whilst continuing to terrorise defences.

Speaking of the podcast, Jamie said: “I am still an active player but having an opportunity to chat football and have a banter off the pitch is something that I am really looking forward to.”

Emmerdale will not air in its usual slot on Friday night, and isn’t on ITVX either.
The long-running ITV soap, which began in 1972, has been a weeknight staple for much of its time on air, and, earlier this year joined forces with fellow soap Coronation Street to launch the “power hour” amid budget cuts at ITV.
Whilst it normally airs Monday to Friday at 8pm, the Yorkshire-based serial has been pulled to make way for the Women’s World Cup Qualifiers, which will from 7:30pm until 9pm and see Spain go head-to-head with England.
In recent years, ITV has made Emmerdale and Coronation Street available on ITVX from 7am on the day of linear broadcast, and, in this case, the new edition will be released on Sunday morning.
With numerous inevitable schedule changes set to take place over the forthcoming World Cup, soap fans flooded social media with complaints. One wrote on Reddit: “Can’t they just stick all the football on, oh I don’t know, the football channel?
“So silly that broadcasters just ignore loyal viewers, some of whom who have been with them for decades, just to shove a sport on – the results of which will be beamed across every platform in real life. TV bosses always treat soaps as bottom of the pile when it comes to these things.” Another said: “Four weeks of disruption nightmare,” and added a string of rolling eyes emojis.
A third raged: “Yes I love the football but as a soap opera fan it’s gonna piss off a lot of people especially who hate football and like Emmerdale and Coronation street and EastEnders and of course Hollyoaks who won’t be affected by this and yes I get it important for the whole world but don’t u think we should have a channel for the world cup not on BBC or ITV.”
Another wrote: “International football should remain on free to view channels and not hidden behind a pay wall like the Premier league and champions league has become,” and a third suggested: “The simple solution is they just air the episodes on streaming regardless if it goes out over the airwaves. It’s kinda defeating the point if streaming platforms follow a schedule where only one thing can be on at once.”
It comes as fans recently predicted something of a bombshell could crop up in the relationship between Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle, known as Robron, as little has been said since they got engaged in the Corriedale crossover. While viewers will likely have to wait to find out, Robert’s faced backlash from Aaron’s family and friends, and other villagers, due to the drama with Joe Tate and the farm.
One of those people currently against him is Aaron’s best friend Mackenzie Boyd. But in a bizarre turn of events, a new theory from a viewer has sparked much confusion.
A soap fan took to Reddit to ask when Robert and Mack’s affair was going to air. Naturally, the post that seemed so sure it was on the cards left fans confused, as it’s not something that has been remotely hinted at, let alone confirmed on the show. Fans ended up replying, with some needing answers as others questioned if a mix-up had occurred. The original post read: “When do Robert and Mack have their affair?
“Have been hearing about it for ages that it’s happening. Guess they’re waiting for things to blow up with the baby.” Again, as fans pointed out, there has been no suggestion on or offscreen that this is happening.
So where the “talked about” theory has come from, no one knows. This led to fans actually asking the poster what they had heard, to which there was no reply.
