‘Timeless classic’ hailed as the ‘best musical of all time’ now streaming

An “addictive” musical set more than 70 years ago is now free to watch at the click of a button.

Musical fanatics can now stream a film that’s been dubbed “absolutely amazing”, and it’s not the beloved Dirty Dancing.

The charismatic 1980s romantic comedy, Dirty Dancing, starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey, will be broadcast tonight, Sunday, February 8, at 6.55pm on ITV2.

But if you’ve had your fill of Baby and her watermelon, there’s another classic musical available to stream for free.

This 1950s-set musical has been hailed as a “true classic”, with one fan declaring it as “one of those films that I can watch over and over – and I do.”

Another concurred: “An absolute classic. The songs are addicting- hate they don’t make movies like this anymore”, while a third enthused: “This film will always remain as one of my all time favourites!”

The iconic 1978 film Grease tells the tale of high school sweethearts, bad boy Danny Zuko (John Travolta) and wholesome Sandy Olsson (Olivia Newton-John), who fall head over heels during a summer romance.

However, their love story hits a snag when they realise they attend the same school and face social pressures from the T-Birds and the Pink Ladies.

With unforgettable tunes like You’re the One That I Want, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Summer Nights and Grease Lightnin’, it’s no surprise that the original soundtrack is one of the best-selling albums of all time, shifting more than 30 million copies worldwide.

The iconic film Grease, starring Saturday Night Fever’s John Travolta as Danny and the late Australian star of Xanadu, Olivia Newton-John, is now available to stream for free on ITVX.

Fans have been effusive in their praise for the classic movie. One viewer took to IMDb to gush: “Absolutely amazing.”

They continued: “It’s no wonder that the Grease soundtrack is the best selling musical soundtrack ever. (It sure is brilliant.) Grease really is the word. It’s fantastic. 10/10.”

Another fan agreed, stating: “Grease, of course, is based on the Broadway play and is a superb film version”.

A third viewer hailed the cast as “superb”, while another enthused: “Grease is a timeless classic that will have you singing and dancing by the end of the movie.”

Grease can be streamed on ITVX.

Love Island star storms off in explosive movie night that ‘will never be forgotten’

Samie Elishi dramatically stormed off during the Love Island All Stars movie night on Friday

One Love Island star stormed off in an explosive movie night that “will never be forgotten”.

The third series of the popular spin-off returned to ITV2 last month, bringing back a group of former contestants to the villa for another opportunity at finding romance.

Over recent weeks, audiences have witnessed numerous heated exchanges, surprising eliminations and several bombshell entries. The latest arrivals included six American contestants, alongside the launch of villa USA.

Tensions flared when the two villas were brought together earlier this week, with disagreements breaking out between Belle Hassan and Sean Stone, as well as Lucinda Strafford and Samie Elishi.

Tonight’s episode featured the much-anticipated return of movie night, with contestants preparing for an evening of cinema-themed entertainment. The All Star selection included Free Millie, How to Lose Leanne in Ten Days, Some like it Scott, The Sean Identity, There’s Something About Samie, Tommy Dearest and Lucinda’s Web, reports OK!.

There’s Something About Samie showcased footage of the dispute between Samie and Lucinda, which started after Lucinda decided to pair up with Samie’s partner Ciaran Davies.

Matters intensified when Lucinda pied Samie during Thursday’s task, as she believed Samie doubted the authenticity of her new relationship with Sean. When the two attempted to resolve their differences, Lucinda started laughing, prompting Samie to storm off furiously.

Upon reviewing the footage, Lucinda remarked: “You weren’t there for me and Sean,” prompting Samie to immediately retort: “Are you alright? I warned you… I was actually trying to warn you… There’s me trying to have your f****** back and then you throw that pie in my face.”

The heated exchange escalated when Lucinda playfully told Whitney Adebayo not to laugh in front of Samie. An irate Samie responded: “Are you taking the p*** out of me again?”

The star continued: “I might need five minutes. This bird keeps laughing in my face, you’re p****** me off,” before storming off with Belle.

Whilst Belle attempted to calm Samie down, Whitney and Leanne Amaning became embroiled in their own dispute, just hours after Leanne had taken Whitney’s partner Yemen Sanders into the secret garden.

The movie night screening pressed on, as did the tension, moments before presenter Maya Jama made her surprise appearance in the villa. “Everyone enjoying movie night? Well, it’s time for a plot twist,” she announced, before the credits began to roll.

ITV audiences were left stunned following tonight’s turbulent episode, with one viewer posting on X (formerly Twitter): “Don’t know about anyone else but I’ve got a headache now from all the shouting. That movie night was absolute carnage!”

Another commented: “And this, is what I call a messy MOVIE NIGHT,” whilst a third remarked: “Love island all starts 2026 movie night gone but will NEVER be forgotten.”

X Factor’s Honey G looks unrecognisable as she embraces new lifestyle 10 years later

The X Factor star has embraced a new “mindful” lifestyle, as she prioritises her “healing”.

X Factor legend Honey G is unrecognisable after embracing a new “mindful” lifestyle, ten years after she first found fame.

The former contestant, whose real name is Anna Gilford, appeared on the 13th series of the singing competition, which was won by Matt Terry.

She’s since credited Simon Cowell’s show for changing her life after admitting she was in a dark place before The X Factor.

She previously said: “I’m very grateful for what X Factor did for me, it changed me. It’s boosted my confidence. Before X Factor, I was in a dark place, and it put me in a happier place.”

Content cannot be displayed without consent

She’s now revealed that her life is completely different these days, worlds away from the look she had when she first auditioned for Missy Elliott’s Work It rap.

In a post yesterday, the TV star shared an unrecognisable picture on Instagram as she spoke about mindfulness.

Honey G wrote: “A lot of people think stress and burnout mean they’re doing something wrong — not managing their time well enough, not being disciplined enough, not trying hard enough.

“But often it’s not about effort at all. It’s about capacity.

“When your nervous system has been under pressure for a long time, even things that help — rest, journaling, movement, mindfulness — can feel hard to access. Not because you don’t care, but because your system is tired.

“Sometimes the most supportive thing we can do is stop pushing for change and start creating small pockets of safety and space, exactly where we are.

“Gentleness isn’t giving up. It’s often where healing actually begins.”

Alongside the caption, she posted an image of herself in a red headscarf and sunglasses, a far cry from the trademark cap and bomber jacket with which she rose to fame.

Her post was showered in support, with one fan writing: “So true! Sometimes we need to just relax and stop trying to do everything. It’s ok to take a break.”

Another said, “I love u, Honey G,” as a third wrote, “Thank you, Honey G, this was beautifully written. Very inspiring.”

The star has previously spoken about how she looks “completely different” after shedding two stone from gym workouts, which she often shares online.

She previously told The Daily Star in 2023: “I’ve had a personal trainer for the past two years and he’s helped me change my whole body shape. I’ve been doing triathlons as well. My body is quite robust because when I was younger, I used to be a county tennis player. But I’m combining it all with diet as well.

“It’s still ongoing, it is a work in progress, but I’m working really hard and just trying to be the best version of myself.”

She added, “The fitness transformation has given me the confidence to dress in more adventurous clothing and clothing that is more feminine. If I want to wear my tracksuits, I will rock them. If I want to put a dress on, then I can.

“I’m a strong independent woman and can rock whatever look I want and I just hope nobody criticizes me for it.”

True crime fans are just realising there’s a harrowing series now streaming free

The shocking true crime series is guaranteed to make viewers emotional

True crime fans are only just realising there is a harrowing true crime series that is not to be missed, and it is available for free streaming now.

Murder in the Family is a brutal true crime documentary series spanning across three episodes, each delving into its own shocking murder investigation.

Using police evidence and harrowing real life footage, the series shows the police investigation from start to finish in heart-breaking investigations that rocked a community.

Despite being first released back in 2023, true crime fanatics are tuning in to the “shocking” series that can be streamed on ITVX in full.

Telling the story of seemingly ordinary relationships that result in tragic consequences, the documentary explores the most burning questions of “how and why”.

ITV teases: “Explore three shocking British murders in this haunting crime doc. Told by those closest to the tragic events, discover the killers’ motives behind their fatal acts.”

The first episode plunges viewers into the shocking case of Cheryl Hooper as ITV penned: “Cheryl Hooper is shot dead by her husband – using shocking police evidence and intimate family footage, this documentary explores how and why.”

Many viewers have dubbed the series as a must watch. Previously taking to TikTok, one true crime fan said: “Guys, if you’re looking for something good to watch then watch Murder in the Family, it’s on ITVX, there’s three episodes and it’s absolutely brilliant. Very sad, but brilliant.”

In a separate video, another said recently they have discovered a whole host of true crime content available to stream on ITVX. They added: “I don’t know why I’ve never really looked through it properly before, but there’s actually loads and loads of true crime documentaries and I watched one of them this weekend.

“It was genuinely one of the most heartbreaking but I felt like I was watching it through the eyes of the victims. And I would highly recommend giving it a go.

“It’s called Murder in the Family, I think it was maybe released in 2022 so you might have seen it but I don’t remember watching it.”

They later continued: “I would check trigger warnings on this because it’s really, really sad and quite detailed and in some parts graphic I suppose you could say, but it’s such a focus on the victims, the victims families…”

In another video, one person commented: “The third one is shocking, really bad”, as another wrote: “This was wild.”

One IMDB reviewer echoed: “This is the human side of the effects of horrific crimes, and it’s extremely well presented. Of course, that makes it gut wrenching to watch.”

Murder in the Family is available to stream on ITVX.

Love Island’s Lucinda and Sean branded ‘fake’ in explosive All Stars row

Love Island All Stars has descended into chaos after Belle Hassan confronted Lucinda Strafford in a heated villa clash

Love Island stars Lucinda Strafford and Sean Stone have been branded “fake” in an explosive All Stars row.

The third instalment of the popular spin-off returned to ITV2 last month, bringing back familiar faces from previous series for another shot at romance.

Over recent weeks, audiences have been treated to explosive rows, surprising eliminations and numerous bombshell entrances. The latest shake-up saw six American contestants arrive, alongside the unveiling of villa USA.

However, conflict wasn’t far away as Belle Hassan and Sean found themselves at loggerheads after Sean opted to pursue Lucinda whilst Belle was in the other villa. Tensions reached boiling point on Monday (February 2), when Sean and Lucinda shared their first kiss in the secret garden, reports OK!.

During Tuesday’s (February 3) instalment, an angry Belle confronted Lucinda as she attempted to make amends. Belle interjected, stating: “I don’t want to hear that because it’s not true, is it? You’re not sorry.”

Lucinda responded: “I feel like what’s happened with me and Sean, when I came in, he was my top pick and there’s no doubt about that.”

Belle wasn’t convinced, particularly given Lucinda’s decision to couple up with Ciaran Diaries when she first arrived, after she wanted to “throw the girls off” regarding her preferences.

Challenging her directly, Belle demanded: “What’s real, Lucinda? What is real?” to which a taken-aback Lucinda replied: “Don’t start coming at me.”

For the latest showbiz, TV, movie and streaming news, go to the new Everything Gossip website

Belle didn’t hold back, saying: “What’s real? If we’re going to have a conversation, let’s be open and honest. What’s real? And let me get one thing straight, you’ve not once gave a f*** about my feelings or [made] me feel comfortable in this, so don’t expect that same thing from me cause that isn’t gonna happen.”

She added: “So, if this conversation you’ve wanted to have all day was for me to validate your s*** behaviour, that’s not gonna happen… This nice girl image just doesn’t wash, I see through it.”

Lucinda hit back, responding: “I don’t really respect you talking to me like that.”

Undeterred, Belle went on: “I don’t respect the way you’ve behaved since the first day you got here, so evidently we’re not going to be on the same page ever… I don’t need to know you for any longer… All you think about is yourself and that has been evident.”

Hinting at her suspicions about Lucinda’s romance with Sean being disingenuous, Belle wrapped up: “We aren’t going to be cool… You do want you need to do, I’ll keep out of your way and that’s where we’re at. I think the whole situation is very fake.”

Viewers flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to applaud Belle’s no-nonsense approach, with one fan posting: “I wish I could handle conversations the way Belle does. I’m actually in awe watching her say it how it is with Lucinda.”

Another viewer observed: “Belle has officially clocked Lucinda’s behaviour and Lucinda couldn’t even defend herself,” whilst a third declared: “Belle calling out Lucinda for her nice girl act finaalllyy someone has had the courage to say it all to her face.”

Meanwhile, one confused fan commented: “What has Lucinda done wrong. I’m still trying to understand.” Will Belle and Lucinda be able to patch things up?

She said: “I don’t know any of the boys names.”

And Pete replied: “Well you know one. Curtis. He’s a big lad, tall. I think you’d be a real power couple.”

Olivia surprisingly agreed, she said: “I would probably go for Curtis.”

Curtis found himself in the limelight after appearing on Love Island series five, but he didn’t stop there returning for Love Island games in 2023 and now this season of All Stars.

While Olivia picked the dancer, Pete was certain he would couple up with Belle Hassan.

Loose Women panellist Olivia also appeared on Love Island back in 2017 on series 3.

She finished in third place alongside Chris Hughes but they later split as she got back together with her long-time love Bradley Dack, 32.

The Sun previously revealed the split was down to what was called a “breach of trust” on his part.

A source close to the star told us: “Olivia is already talking about divorce because it is feeling very final and over for her.

“She’s worked too hard on her career to let it fall apart because of her relationship going south.”

Olivia was spotted last Friday on Loose Women without her £200,000 engagement ring meanwhile Bradley was snapped leaving football training still wearing his wedding band.

The couple are already locked in a tug of love over their dogs.

Carpathian/German shepherd mix Lola and rottweiler Stitch, both rescue dogs, are staying with Olivia in South London as they sort out their care.

Emmerdale characters to uncover Bear’s killer secret as prison exit ‘sealed’

Emmerdale actor Dominic Brunt has addressed his character Paddy Dingle’s turmoil, as he covers up his father Bear Wolf’s killer crime after he murdered Ray Walters

Emmerdale fans are used to seeing Paddy Dingle at the centre of comedic mishaps and the more heartfelt moments, but his latest plot sees him covering up a brutal murder.

For the first time in his 29 years on the soap, Paddy, played by actor Dominic Brunt, could face prison as the truth unravels. A recent flashback episode saw Paddy’s father Bear Wolf [Joshua Richards] confirmed as villain Ray Walters’ killer, with Paddy now determined to stop anyone from finding out.

Next week, Paddy realises his dad needs professional help as Bear continues to spiral. With teenager Dylan Penders, also covering up the crime, feeling the strain and ready to crack, Paddy’s left picking up the pieces to prevent the police from learning what really happened to Ray. Dominic, 55, is delighted about the killer twist though, as he teases his future in the village.

He says: “It’s such a good story. Paddy’s juggling everything at the moment, trying to keep everybody out of being done for murder and keeping the story straight. But it keeps unravelling and he keeps pulling all the strings back in, going: ‘Oh my God, we’ve got to stick to the story’.”

READ MORE: Soaps preview: Emmerdale Robert and Tracy’s big plan and Corrie Jodie under suspicionREAD MORE: Emmerdale and Coronation Street fans left furious as soaps pulled off air next week

While it could lead to an exit for Bear if his crime is discovered, Dominic says Paddy isn’t worried about his own fate. He explains: “He fears that his dad will go away again. He thought he was dead and he’s back. And now Bear might go down for murder. Paddy is trying to save his dad, and save the fact that Dylan would be implicated in it as well, because we all hid the body.”

Bear vanished from the village in July last year, claiming he was visiting a friend in Ireland as he secretly battled depression. By the time Paddy realised his father was missing, Bear had already been manipulated by villain Ray and his evil mum Celia Daniels, in the soap’s heartbreaking modern slavery storyline.

Bear was kept at their farm for months until he fled at the end of December, while viewers, and village residents, were led to believe Celia had killed him. His sudden return earlier this month saw him accidentally killing Ray to save his son, and Dominic says Paddy will go to any lengths necessary to protect him in return.

He tells us: “Bear’s not ready to go to the police. He keeps going: ‘Should I go to the police? Should I just come clean? Should I tell them the truth?’ His dad is all over the place, he’s very sick, withdrawing from whatever drugs he was given and he’s completely unstable.

“So Paddy is trying to hide him away for now and then maybe in the near future they’ll just say to the police: ‘Alright, there he is, come and get him, we did it’. But at the moment he’s just trying to save his dad from more psychological pain after what he’s just been through with Ray and Celia.”

Dominic did reveal that other characters will soon uncover the truth, including his best friend Marlon Dingle, played by Mark Charnock. Marlon has also been caught up in Ray and Celia’s dark world after they exploited his teenage daughter April Windsor [Amelia Flanagan] into selling drugs, alongside her boyfriend Dylan.

When Marlon vowed to go to the police he was ignored, leading to sinister threats and payment demands by Ray. Dominic says the close friends will open up to each other about what they’ve been hiding, while Paddy is also set to confide in his wife Mandy Dingle [Lisa Riley].

Dominic says: “He definitely confides in Mandy. I think there’s an episode coming up with me and Mark, just a two-hander, where we spill the beans to each other and we become bonded again, which is lovely because they’ve got a three-decade-long friendship.”

Paddy has been at the heart of some huge storylines since his debut in 1997, including his five weddings, and the devastating loss of his baby daughter Grace after she was diagnosed with Bilateral Renal Agenesis, a rare life-limiting congenital condition.

Paddy also suffered depression and suicidal thoughts in a wideley-praised storyline in 2023, with Dominic keen to revisit Paddy’s mental health as he struggles through his latest turmoil. While the future looks bleak for Bear, Dominic says Paddy is confident that the father and son, and Dylan, will find a way to make it through their traumatic start to the new year.

He shares: “I think he truly believes that they’ll get through this, it’ll go away and nobody will be blamed and it’ll just become a village secret. But soaps being soaps, there’s got to be a moral outcome. His worst fear is that it all unravels and of course I think it does.”

Love Island’s Zac accidentally gives away ‘game plan’ amid romance with Millie Court

Love Island: All Stars contestant Zac Woodworth has seemingly given away his “game plan” after entering the villa as a Bombshell on the hit ITV2 reality show earlier this week

Love Island All Stars contestant Zac Woodworth has seemingly given away his “game plan” after entering the villa. The reality star, 26, initially appeared on Love Island USA but recently entered the British version of the ITV2 reality dating show by arriving at the South African Villa as a bombshell.

He is currently getting close to Millie Court on the spin-off of the main show, which sees former contestants heading back onto the programme that made them famous, so they can have a second chance at finding love.

An Instagram account dedicated to Love Island memes screenshotted a story that was reposted onto Zac’s page, which was initially posted by his former co-star JD Dodard, who also appeared on the US version of Love Island in summer 2025.

READ MORE: Love Island viewers flood Ofcom with over 500 complaints over shocking scenesREAD MORE: Love Island fans spot problem minutes in as three new bombshells arrive

He wrote: “Pre game plan executed perfectly @zacwoodworth,” with a crying tears of laughter emoji, whilst his other co-star Zak Strakaew said: “Make sure ya’ll go back my boyyyy @zacwoodworth,” which was then reposted onto his Stories.

Viewers of the reality show rushed to the comments to share their thoughts, with some claiming that some contestants are just hoping for a spot on the show.

The original account wrote: “From Zak’s story!! I hope this wasn’t his plan all along and is leading her on,” and in response, one fan said: “Of course it is, the Americans all just want to get into the main villa. No one is there ‘looking for love,'” whilst another wrote: “Producers should step in because that’s someone’s feelings!”

Another wrote: “You can see this a mile off!” and a fourth viewer said: “It could be that he really likes her and happy he’s got what he went in for… never judge a book by it’s cover as they say.” Another shared: “Feel like pre game plan means that he saw her before on there, that was who he wanted and he beelined for her and got her! Really doubt it’s a negative thing.”

Just before heading into the villa, Zac said: “I am super social, I love talking to everybody. They can expect me to be gentlemen but also go for what I want.

“In the US Villa I was conscious of not wanting to talk to ‘somebody’s girl’ but I would do that differently this time. I’m really excited to just get in there and do my thing!” The reality star also shared that he thought his time was “cut short” the first time round, after making it to just day 20.

Zac, a native of Arizona, explained: “Honestly, I felt that my time in the Love Island USA villa was cut short, I didn’t get the best shot at getting to know someone so for me, experiencing Love Island again but in the UK is perfect. I’ve always travelled the world and I love meeting girls outside of the US. “

Jane McDonald has become a household name thanks to her travel shows and singing career, but many fans still remember her from her Loose Women days.

The 62-year-old star used to be one of the ITV programme’s most popular presenters, chatting over the hottest topics of the day for a decade before announcing that she was permanently vacating her seat on the panel.

While fans of the daytime show have become used to a rotating cast of presenters, many were disappointed to see Jane go when she stepped down in 2014.

So why did she leave Loose Women? And will she ever go back to the show?

When was Jane McDonald on Loose Women?

Jane was already well known for television programme The Cruise and a string of albums when she joined the show as a presenter in 2004.

She featured on Loose Women along fellow stars such as Carol McGiffin, Andrea McLean, Sherrie Hewson and Denise Welch and became hugely popular with viewers.

When did Jane McDonald leave the ITV show?

However, in January 2014, the star announced that she was leaving, telling fans that the time was “right” for her to move on as she had an album and a tour in the pipeline.

She said in a statement at the time: “It has been an incredible 10 years for me on Loose Women and I’ve loved every minute of it. I’ve got a busy and exciting year coming up with a new album and national concert tour.

“So the time is right for me to step aside from Loose Women and concentrate on new opportunities.

“I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again on tour and I thank you all for your continued support, loyalty and best wishes.”

Would Jane McDonald return as Loose Women panellist?

The star has previously suggested that she isn’t likely to make a permanent return to the programme, as she was widely quoted as telling Woman magazine: “It was a period in time when everything was different. We could get away with things that we could never do now.

“And it was an era of girls who were not just colleagues – we were a force to be reckoned with. We were like Sex And The City when we hit the town. We’d have taken a bullet for each other.”

However, she did add: “Never say never.”

Guest appearances

Jane has gone on to make guest appearances on the ITV show over the years.

In 2021 she returned to the programme to talk about the death of her fiance Eddie Rothe, who had passed away that year after being diagnosed with lung cancer.

Opening up in a moving segment, Jane told how it had been a “privilege” to nurse her partner before he died.

“At first I thought, ‘How am I going to do this?’” she said. “But then you get a strength when you are nursing your loved one. I learnt how to do it. I changed all the dressings and I cared for him and I nursed him and I’m glad I did.”

Is Devil in Disguise based on a true story? Harrowing true story behind ITV drama

The brand new crime drama will be released today as fans brand it one of the “most harrowing” things they have seen

A gripping crime drama dubbed “one of the most harrowing and distressing things” fans have ever seen is now available to stream for free.

Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy tells the terrifying story of the American serial killer, spanning across eight episodes. Having first been released in the US last year, it will today (January 30) be released on ITV and ITVX.

The series will air weekly at 9pm on ITV1 & STV on Fridays. But for those looking to binge-watch the series in one go, all 8 episodes will be available via ITVX & STV Player straight away.

It has been teased: “Prepare to take a deep dive into the mind and life of one of America’s most notorious serial killers with this drama that tells the terrifying story of John Wayne Gacy.

“From 1972-1978, thirty-three young men were kidnapped, murdered, and buried in a crawl space beneath their killer’s house. And no one was the wiser. Not for all those years. Why? He was charming and funny.

“Had a good, All-American job. Was a community leader. He even volunteered to entertain sick kids… while dressed as a clown.

“Devil In Disguise: John Wayne Gacy peels back the twisted layers of Gacy’s life while weaving in heartrending stories of his victims; exploring the grief, guilt, and trauma of their families and friends; and exposing the systemic failures, missed opportunities, and societal prejudices that fueled his reign of terror.”

The series has already been a hit with viewers, as one person said: “Honestly, one of the most harrowing and distressing things I’ve ever seen. Each episode takes time to honour and bring back to life one or more of the victims.”

Is Devil in Disguise based on a true story?

Yes, the ITV drama is based on the true story of the notorious American serial killer John Wayne Gacy, who murdered young men and boys in the 1970s. Although a dramatisation of his life and crimes, it is based on real-life events that occurred.

Known as the Killer Clown, because Gacy often dressed as one when volunteering at various events, he targeted young men and sexually assaulted many of them before killing them. And he went untraced from 1972 to 1978.

Across a six-year spree, Gacy murdered 33 young men before burying them in a mass grave under his own home in Chicago. Leading a double life, Gacy had a fascination with clowns, often using that persona to lure his victims.

But it wasn’t until 1978 that he was arrested and confessed to the crimes. His arrest came after the disappearance of teenager Robert Piest, who was Gacy’s final victim, which led authorities to suspect Gacy.

In 1980, he was convicted of killing 33 young men and sentenced to death before receiving the lethal injection at the age of 52 in 1994.

Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy airs tonight at 9pm on ITV.

Davina McCall breaks down in tears as husband Michael Douglas shares emotional update

Davina McCall married her long-term partner during an ‘absolutely beautiful’ ceremony recently, just months after the couple announced their engagement following a trip to Ibiza

Davina McCall broke down in tears during an emotional discussion with husband Michael Douglas. Davina and Michael tied the knot recently in an “absolutely beautiful” ceremony in front of their friends and family.

It came just three months after Davina, 58, announced that she and celebrity hairstylist Michael got engaged during a trip to Ibiza. The couple first started dating in 2018, having met originally on the set of Big Brother in 2000.

Their marriage came after a difficult year for Davina, who underwent surgery in November 2024 after medics discovered a colloid cyst on her brain. Just over a year later she revealed she had been diagnosed with breast cancer after finding a small lump.

Now on the Making the Cut podcast, Davina’s husband Michael praised the television presenter for using her fame to speak candidly about her health battles and “help a lot of people”.

It came after Michael recently read Bruce Springsteen’s autobiography. In the book, the Boss spoke candidly about his music and his life, something Michael said he found to be a “therapeutic experience”.

Michael said: “I realised the important role that famous people can have in regular people’s lives. Bruce putting his life in the paper or out there has helped me.

“I realised what it means to be married to someone like you who also does that and what it’s like to be around someone who puts themselves out in a way that is to benefit and help other people and I want to say, well done you.

“I realise what you stand for for a lot of people and I see them stop you in the street and say how grateful they are for what you decided to do with your fame and your time. In a way that Springsteen helped me, I realised you helped a lot of people.”

The touching words from her husband made The Masked Singer panellist Davina audibly tear up. Davina will return to screens with Long Lost Families tonight (January 29) from 9pm on ITV One.

The series sees Davina and co-host Nicky Campbell reuniting people with their loved ones. Tonight the series will visit Mandy whose parents had a baby girl they placed for adoption, she is now attempting to find her long-lost big sister.

Elsewhere Jane thought she was an only child until her mother revealed she had a baby boy 11 months before her. Jane now wants help finding her long lost brother who was put up for adoption.

Davina has previously spoken about the emotions she feels when reunited siblings, especially because she lost her sister to cancer in 2012. Caroline, 50, was diagnosed with lung cancer after being rushed to hospital after suffering a suspected stroke.

Speaking to Love TV, she said: “Sometimes with siblings, it’s quite hard and painful, because one sibling might have grown up with their birth family, while the other was placed for adoption. There’s a lot to unpack there, you know?”

Davina says the show’s genealogists occasionally track people down who weren’t even aware they had a sibling. “Imagine being gifted a sibling out of the blue, it would be absolutely mad,” she added.

SHE’S BACK!

Glenda’s Hollyoaks role comes just months after she appeared in a guest stint on rival soap Coronation Street.

On the cobbles, Glenda played a social worker named Alison Hale who was dealing with street couple Tim and Sally Metcalfe as they fought to foster the Michealis’ children following their mum Lou’s imprisonment.

The actress left Emmerdale over 25 years ago when she was killed off in a memorable storyline which saw her brutally pushed off a cliff.

She spent more than 11 years on the soap and appeared in almost 750 episodes.

Her character, Rachel Hughes, was embroiled in a number of the show’s biggest storylines from affairs to having a secret child.

Glenda’s final storyline saw her enter a toxic relationship with teacher Graham Clark. He coerced her into dressing differently and forced her to dye her hair in an attempt to mould her into his dead wife.

Twisted Graham then attempted to force himself on her as she tried to break up with him.

He later chased Rachel and cornered her on a clifftop, she confronted him, and Graham ultimately pushed her to her death.

The evil teacher then lead Rachel’s friends and fellow villagers to believe that she was missing.

Since leaving Emmerdale in 1999, Glenda has only landed a handful of TV roles including guest stints on Hollyoaks and Doctors.

In 2005, Glenda appeared in Coronation Street for one episode as a love interest of cabbie Lloyd Mulaney (Craig Charles).

But in recent years, the former soap star made a startling career change as she ditched acting to work as a primary school teacher.

The Good Morning Britain presenter was showered in support after posting a touching message to her close friend.

Good Morning Britain star Susanna Reid has paid tribute to her close friend Carol Kirkwood, who announced her exit from BBC Breakfast earlier today (Tuesday 27 January).

After joining the BBC in 1998, Carol confirmed she would be leaving the corporation in April, during an emotional interview with Jon Kay and Sally Nugent.

Holding back tears, she said she had “loved every minute”, adding: “This hasn’t been an easy decision to make, but it feels like the right moment to step away. I’ll carry with me the most wonderful memories.”

Carol went on: “My job is something I’ve never taken for granted and I’ve loved every minute. From early starts and all manner of forecasts, I’ve shared it with incredible colleagues at BBC Breakfast, BBC Weather and programmes across the BBC. I’d like to thank them for their support and friendship which has meant the world.”

She concluded: “To those watching and listening at home – thank you for all the kindness you have shown me over the years, being part of your mornings has been a joy.”

Carol went on to say she plans on spending more time with her husband Steve, writing her books and travelling, and choked up as she told Sally and Jon: “It’s really hard for me to say this because I love my job. I love all of you guys, my weather colleagues, every department I’ve worked with, and of course, all the viewers I’ve been so engaged with for many years. But it’s great! I don’t want to be coming in on my Zimmer frame, going, ‘I can’t reach the Northern Isles anymore!'”

Since announcing the news, Carol has been showered in support from fans and friends alike.

Susanna was among those paying tribute on social media, writing: “CAROL KIRKWOOD! The gorgeous force of nature @carolkirkwood is leaving BBC Breakfast. Let me tell you a few things about Carol, having been lucky enough to have worked with her (and shared a hotel room with her on a hen weekend)

“1. I have NEVER seen her in a bad mood. 2. She sends cards EVERY birthday and Christmas. 3. She ALWAYS has a giggle with every viewer who recognises her off air – and everyone does.

“Good luck Carol – enjoy your well-deserved lie-ins. Love you.”

Susanna was a co-presenter on BBC Breakfast from 2001 until 2014 alongside Bill Turnbull and Charlie Stayt before she joined Good Morning Britain.

Her post was showered in support, with one follower writing: “Absolutely fabulous picture. Good luck with your new venture, beautiful lovely @carolkirkwood.”

Another said: “What a lovely pair,” as a third added: “This has genuinely been made me sad.”

Former BBC Breakfast star Dan Walker also marked the “end of an era”, as he wrote on X, alongside several pictures with Carol: “I still get asked what Carol is like in real life and she is just the same lovely person you see on the telly.

“She was always so kind, generous and funny on and off screen and she will be hugely missed on @BBCBreakfast

“Throw that alarm clock away Carol. Long may she reign.”

Who is DI Holbrook in Call the Midwife and where you have seen the actor before?

There is a child abduction about to happen in Poplar and a new detective is tasked to solve the crime

Call the Midwife is set to welcome a new character to the BBC drama, and he is a familiar face.

The new season of the BBC drama returned on Sunday, 11 January, as the plot continued into 1971. The midwives of Nonnatus House have so far embraced the Women’s Liberation Movement while facing worrying changes as the National Health Service expands.

Nurse Rosalind Clifford (played by Natalie Quarry) has assisted a Romanian national escape a harrowing slavery ordeal, while Joyce Highland (Renee Bailey) saved a mother’s life thanks to her quick thinking around a blood transfusion.

Sister Veronica (Rebecca Gethings) struggles with her dedication to her religion as her longing for a baby surfaces, and she grows attached to baby Christopher, who is being cared for by Shelagh Turner (Laura Main).

In a sneak peek into Sunday’s forthcoming episode of Call the Midwife (February 1), Cyril Robinson (Zephryn Taitte) enjoys a date with Nurse Clifford as the romance blossoms, but the midwife looks worried. The couple can be seen sitting on a bench in a woodland area by a lake, taking a break from their demanding jobs.

Meanwhile, Sister Catherine (Molly Vevers) is distraught when a newborn baby is snatched from the maternity home. But who has taken the baby and why? It appears police detectives, led by DI Holbrook (Martin Delaney), are on the hunt to track down the baby and the person responsible.

Who plays DI Holbrook in Call the Midwife?

Actor and producer Martin Delaney is taking the police detective role on the BBC period drama, and is no stranger to television shows, having launched an acting career as a child.

Now 43, Delaney played the role of Benjamin Oates in the popular show, Pie in the Sky, for one episode in 1997, before making appearances in Wycliffe (1998) and London’s Burning (2000).

However, fans of the popular Nickelodeon show Redford Rejects will know the star as Jason Summerbee. The teen sitcom followed a group of schoolboys who formed their own football team and aired from 1998 to 2001.

Martin then landed the part of Paul Webb in Family Affairs between 2001 and 2002, and has also starred in a long list of other television shows, including Outlander, Casualty, Doctors, Rock & Chips, and The Bill.

Most recently, the star played Rob Ryan in The Man Who Saved the Internet with a Sunflower, Bonded by Blood 2, and Barry in A Christmas Carol.
