A DRUG kingpin arrested while partying at an Ibiza nightclub for a £20million drug ring he ran with his ex-girlfriend has been jailed.
The couple from Merseyside plotted to smuggle over 300 kilos of drugs in two lorries in the summer of 2022.

Eddie Burton, 23, from Liverpool was jailed for 19 years at Canterbury Crown Court on Friday, September 26.
His glam ex-girlfriend, Sian Banks, 25, was sentenced to five years in February of this year.
Burton had been living in mainland Europe in 2022 when two lorries were intercepted at Dover Port containing heroin, cocaine and ketamine.
The first of those lorries was stopped by Border Force on July 3 and the second was intercepted the following month on August 12.
Overall, officers discovered a whopping 307 kilos with an estimated street value of £20million.
Burton’s fingerprints were found on both the drug packages as well as the modified fuel tank that was used to conceal them.
The National Crime Agency (NCA) launched a huge manhunt for Burton who was living between the Netherlands and Spain after he left the UK in 2021.
Burton was put in cuffs by Spanish police in August 2023 at the Pacha nightclub in Ibiza for unrelated drug dealing offences.
He had been using an alias to avoid being caught at the time but was extradited to Germany and charged with drug offences before he was returned to the UK in March last year.
Following that, Burton pleaded guilty to four counts of importing Class A and B drugs.

According to the MailOnline, Burton was involved in drugs from an early age and started dealing them at 10 years old.
Those who knew him said he was engaging in serious criminal activity while he was still at primary school and weren’t surprised by his life’s trajectory.
Whereas Banks had a love of luxury holidays and high-end goods with a fondness for men with money, according to those who knew her.
She was arrested in December 2023 before she pleaded guilty to seven charges including importing Class A drugs and money laundering earlier this year.
She had visited Burton in the Netherlands and Spain on a monthly basis between June 2022 and October 2023.
Her phone had also revealed that she had twice smuggled cocaine and ketamine into her luggage after visiting Burton in Amsterdam in August 2022.
Messages were also uncovered between the pair two days after the first lorry was intercepted.
They showed that Banks had flown to the Netherlands and helped prepare the first shipment of narcotics.
One of the messages to Burton revealed Banks was concerned her fingerprints were on the bags of ketamine.
He replied: “You’ve never been nicked or had ye prints took anyway so doesn’t matter.”
It was also discovered that banks had sold scam Covid-19 travel documents during the pandemic.
NCA Senior Investigating Officer John Turner said: “Burton, with Banks’ help, attempted to smuggle huge quantities of harmful drugs into the UK, believing he could operate with impunity overseas.
“Banks held a crucial role in the criminal enterprise, laundering the illicit profits and acting as the UK-based facilitator for the multi-million pound drug importations.
“The drugs, had they reached their final destination, would have had a destructive impact on our communities, fuelling violence and exploiting vulnerable people throughout the supply chain.”

Ibiza Final Boss Jack Kay looks completely unrecognisable in an unearthed snap that was taken before his incredible rise to fame on social media over the summer

Ibiza Final Boss Jack Kay looks completely unrecognisable in an unearthed snap that was taken before his incredible rise to fame. The 26-year-old construction worker, who hails from Newcastle, has become instantly known thanks to an eight second video posted on TikTok that has landed him a Channel 4 documentary and a multi-figure brand deal.
The viral social media star is known for his famous haircut, but in a newly-resurfaced photograph, the influencer looks totally different with a style that is worlds away from his signature look.
Standing on the right end in a snap taken in a pub, Jack can posing in front of a pint and is sporting with a much-less defined fringe whilst his beard and chain are nowhere to be seen.
Speaking about his incredible rise to fame, he said: “Where I’m from is like a council estate. Not much happens round there for people like me. People like me don’t get the chance to make it to this level, do you know what I mean? To make it to this level is like a dream, honest to god!”
On August 3, Jack was dancing at a party when he caught the attention of clothing label Zero Six West Ibiza. He had black and gold sunglasses on to match his black vest and massive gold chain. His muscled arms were on display and his now iconic bowl haircut had been shaped to perfection. The clothing label posted an eight-second clip of Jack dancing, and asked: “Does anyone know this absolute legend coz we’ve got 2 free guestlist with his name on it!”
On TikTok alone, the video has had almost 30million views and Jack became a meme, dubbed the Ibiza Final Boss. He captured the attention of many and soon signed with a talent agency and embarking on a club appearance tour, which one PR expert estimated could earn him £1k-5k per night. With at least eight appearances under his belt, that is an estimated earning of anywhere between £8k and £40k from club appearances.
The new film follows Jack as he adjusts to life in the spotlight and tries to find longevity in his newfound career as an internet personality. When asked why millions went wild for his unique look, Jack said: “I think why people love that video because it’s just my aura.
“I think no one has seen us before. When I’ve just stepped in the dance, looking the way I’m looking with my shades and my hair. My tattoos, my muscles, my beard and stuff. People think, ‘Who’s he?’ That’s what I think.”
He went onto reveal that he now goes to the hairdresser three times a week to keep up his look – and spends nearly £80 weekly.
“Before the fame, it was twice a week but now it’s three times,” he said. “I’ve got to keep myself on point.
“Three, four years ago, I had long hair, like a slick-back. I got sick of it and changed it to a Scouse trim. It’s basically just a low fade. Brush my hair to the side, put a bit of hairspray on. It’s got to be spot on.”
He added: “It looks fresh doesn’t it? Everyone loves it. Especially the birds. They loved it before the fame and now.”
It was an experience that will long live with me for a number of reasons, as I broke my Ibiza virginity in style at the iconic Pacha nightclub, writes Jamie Roberts
Baddest Behaviour at Pacha Ibiza(Image: THE MEDIA NANNY)
The brand Pacha is a globally recognised name and rightly so. It is widely known as being the iconic, glamorous, and historic nightclub that helped create the legendary dance culture on Ibiza 52 years ago.
So when the opportunity to party VIP at the height of summer arose, I knew I had to take it. As a White Island virgin at the ripe age of 38, I wondered if my more “chilled” outlook on nights out these days would see me last the distance until the 6am curfew. Let’s face it, in recent years, that time of day for me is more likely to be the start of the working day rather than still sipping tequila alongside thousands of revellers.
But, I knew I had to throw myself into the legend that is Pacha in full force as Dutch DJ Mau P headlined his fantastic Baddest Behaviour residency. Unlike some of the party island veterans, this may well have turned out to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me. And it’s safe to say that from the outset, the labyrinth that is Pacha Ibiza dragged me fully into its core.
In the beginning, it was clear that the iconic spot isn’t just resting on its name and hoping legends of the past keep it afloat. In fact, as I was shown around at the start of the night, one passionate worker – who proudly shared he had been with the company for over 40 years – admitted his old office space is now an outdoor toilet as the space continues to evolve with the changes of society.
Explaining how Pacha is determined to keep moving with the times and add to the experience, he revealed that the smoking ban and the Covid pandemic made it a necessity to expand. This left the venue deciding to create further high-end boutique spots for its expectant revellers. But even as it grows, the space still gives off its unique vibes at every turn.
A special shout-out has to go out to the Paradiso rooftop bar. While anyone with a Pacha ticket can enter this area before midnight, it’s a welcome addition for those looking for a secluded pre-drink before hitting the dance floor until the early hours.
From walking through the Pacha Family outside spot, and also the Paradiso bar, it was noticeable that the venue was focusing on enhanced comfort with its open-top forest-like feel.
But once inside the venue, there were twists and turns that opened up new worlds thanks to an electronically tagged wristband. From the exclusive Ricardo’s room, to the special section floating above and behind the DJ booth to party the night away, the freedom to roam offered a lot more space. For those wanting to immerse themselves truly into the Pacha feel, you could also take to the main floor and embrace the busier vibe under the strobe lights and smoke cannons.

It’s clear the club takes pride in creating a buzz with its bolder than ever lighting displays and 360-degree immersive visuals. But despite all of the luxuries of the Pacha club and its impressive VIP, there was one thing throughout that surprised me – the apparent openness of smoking. As a non-smoker, this threw me back to my heavier partying days circa 2005 – just before the smoking ban came into play.
And while the smoking ban has created bougie outdoor elements, it seemed as though there may have been a much more relaxed take in certain private areas.

But is Pacha Ibiza VIP worth it? For this ageing dad-of-one, I’d definitely say yes – and I’m sure after taking it all in, it’s a benefit for those of all ages to fully experience one of the most iconic spots in the dance world.
As for the Ibiza Final Boss, long may he enjoy his newfound fame and VIP treatment. He is lucky enough to be living his best life this summer – something I would also certainly do if anyone was to film this ginger Mr Muscle character-of-old lookalike!
Jack Kay quickly became known as the Ibiza Final Boss after being filmed dancing on the White Island and his stock continues to rise in the UK

He’s a phenomenon that has taken the internet by storm. He is the Ibiza Final Boss. But what does the White Island actually think of their latest craze?
Jack Kay became an overnight internet sensation after a video of him dancing in the open air club Zero Six West on the party isle went viral earlier in the month thanks to his distinctive look. He was quickly dubbed by many as the Ibiza Final Boss.
With travel companies and Lego immediately jumping on board with the craze, as well as celebrities quickly commenting on the 26-year-old’s style, he has since been swooped up by big talent agency Neon Management. The savvy experts have also represented other TV personalities and reality show stars, such as Joey Essex and Gogglebox’s Stephen Webb.
Jack Kay was dubbed the Ibiza Final Boss and has been enjoying his time in the limelight(Image: jack.kayy1/Instagram)
And now we wait to see what delights they can throw his way as he continues to tour the UK’s establishments and party festivals, living off his unique appearance. It’s also thought that the agency sees potential for him to pursue various opportunities, including TV shows and podcasts.
Some say he has hit the jackpot, with rumours suggesting he could be about to bag a six-figure income if he is to play his cards right. But after being snapped in Ibiza with the likes of Wayne Lineker after being flown back to the island in a private jet, it’s unclear if his notoriety is quite as big as back in Blighty.
Almost a month on, was it just a fad or is he here to stay? In the UK, it certainly seems as though we have not heard the last of the North East native who is quite rightly cashing in on his instant fame. Just the past weekend, he was living his best life at Creamfields, mixing it with some of the biggest names performing.
And he has also hinted at a number of big appearances back where he was first spotted. But locals on the island where he rose to fame may not be as excited – or bothered – about his partying appearances.
Jack Kay was filmed partying in Ibiza(Image: TikTok)
At Newcastle airport prior to my whistle-stop journey, there were a number of holidaymakers sharing the signature bowl cut – with one muscly man also donning a BOSS top. While it was clearly designer brand Hugo, it did feel as though he may have been playing on the latest craze slightly with the choice.
After stepping out into the Balearic sunshine, it appeared as though locals weren’t quite as keen to play up to the star of the moment. On my way to my hotel, I thought I’d drop in his moniker and was met with a ‘who?’ response.
I didn’t push it, so I can’t be sure if this was a language barrier or indeed just someone who hadn’t been swept up in the moment. I was met with similar response in a shop while looking at souvenirs. Again, my joke questioning of any Final Boss memorabilia was met with a confused gaze.
Whether I would have received a warmer interaction if I had headed closer to his usual party scene in San Antonio, I’m not sure, but sadly I wasn’t in town long enough to find out. While British partiers were more receptive of the “legend” inside one bar in Ibiza Town, when I asked if he’d been there was a simple eye roll and shrug response.
Needless to say, whether Ibiza likes it – or even knows much about it – or not, there has to be a doff of the hat to Kay for cashing in on the moment in any way possible. He was welcomed with open arms to DJ decks across the island and popped up on exclusive guest lists of some of the hottest venues. And now he could be about to set himself up for a wealthier future off the back of living in the moment with his pals on a holiday.
There are not many people out there who would turn down such a life-changing opportunity. And he certainly appears to be living his best life while he can, and I certainly don’t blame him. Let’s see what he gets up to next!
Claire De Stefano and pal did not even book a hotel for their girls holiday

Claire and Donna loved every minute of their trip
A sun-seeking mum jetted off to Ibiza for a mere 24 hours, making it back in time for work the next day. Claire De Stefano, 52, had initially planned a longer getaway to the White Isle with her friend Donna Duncombe, 50.
However, when their schedules clashed, they opted for a whirlwind one-day trip without even booking a hotel. The duo departed the UK at 6pm on August 12 and were tucked up in their own beds by 1am on August 14, meaning they went nearly 48 hours without sleep.
Claire was back at her desk by 7:30am, telling her incredulous colleagues about her trip. The mother-of-four from Romford, East London, said: “We had wanted to go to Ibiza again this year for a few days but unfortunately our diaries didn’t match up.
“So, we decided to bite the bullet and just fit a day in. It was so nice to get away from reality and do something a little bit different rather than washing and working. I would definitely do it again. We are looking at doing more of these trips. We want to visit some of the other superclubs that we didn’t get to in our youth – when life and children got in the way.”
Claire De Stefano and Donna Duncombe decided to go on a 24-hour holiday so that they could experience the clubbing without booking a hotel
The friends wrapped up a full day’s work on August 12 before heading to London Stansted Airport at around 6pm for a Wetherspoon dinner. They touched down in Ibiza just after 10pm and made a beeline for a bar, before hitting the iconic nightclub Pacha where they danced the night away until 6am.
After witnessing a beautiful sunrise on the beach, they spent the day basking in the sun, having breakfast in the Old Town and taking a dip in the sea. They then jetted off from Ibiza airport to return home on August 13, ready to get back to work the following day, August 14.
Their total expenditure came to an estimated £197, which included £62 for return flights. Claire shared: “We got into the club and soaked in the atmosphere, then we danced until 6am.
“There were some sunbeds out so we chatted there for an hour while the sun rose. It was beautiful. We changed into our swimming costumes under our evening wear and spent the day on the beach. It was a lovely relaxing day.”

For their holiday, the pair packed light, carrying only their passports, a swimsuit, a change of underwear, sun cream, and a travel toothbrush in their handbags. Claire, who is employed as a safeguarding officer, revealed that her four adult children and all her colleagues thought she was bonkers, but she had a fantastic time.
The mum and her self-employed friend are already planning their next adventure, with hopes of experiencing the clubbing scene abroad again in the future. She added: “We had an amazing time. Everyone said we were crazy but sometimes you have to be a bit crazy. I need stories to tell my grandchildren eventually.
“The club was everything we had hoped it would be. It met and exceeded both our expectations, and we are eager to do it again. We are in our 50s but we felt no judgement on the dance floor. Everyone was just having a good time together.
“I got to work at 7.30am and told everyone I was in Ibiza a few hours ago. They didn’t believe me. But you have to try everything once. It was our first time doing a day trip, but it certainly won’t be the last.”
Claire and Donna did not even book a hotel
The mum also expressed her belief that more young people should embrace clubbing, which she feels is becoming something of a lost art. She believes that hitting the dance floor keeps you youthful and helps create unforgettable memories with friends.
She said: “I do enjoy going out with my friends and dancing- I always have done. I think it keeps you young. It is definitely a dying art. I have four adult children who never go out. I don’t think it is part of their make-up.
“I was clubbing in the late 80s where clubs were the place to be. Everyone used to go. That isn’t unfortunately a thing with the youngsters these days. It is a shame because we used to have great times back in the day. And we still do today!”

Brits heading on Ibiza holidays to enjoy the island’s world-famous clubs, bars and boat parties are being warned of a simple scam that’s leaving them out of pocket
10:18, 18 Aug 2025Updated 10:23, 18 Aug 2025
Brits are being sold bogus tickets and packages(Image: Daily Mirror)
Brits heading to Ibiza this summer to make the most of its epic boat parties are being warned of a common scam that could leave them out of pocket, staring at an empty dock.
Ibiza Town is famous for its epic nightlife from the packed clubs and bars to boat parties where revellers can soak up the views and sunshine while listening to live music and DJ sets. However, one insider has warned that Brits planning Spain holidays should stay vigilant when trying to make the most of the atmosphere.
“Living in Ibiza opened my eyes to how sophisticated these scams have become.” He said. “The operators know exactly what buttons to push with British tourists, so they’ll promise VIP treatment, exclusive access, or once-in-a-lifetime experiences. But there are always telltale signs if you know what to look for.”
He adds that boat party scams “have exploded in recent years”. Fraudsters set up websites and social media pages to promote incredible events complete with celebrity DJs, unlimited drinks and VIP packages. Only, these events are completely made up; when people turn up to the docks or venues, there’s nothing there.
James warned: “These scammers are getting smarter with their online presence. They’ll steal photos from legitimate boat parties and create convincing websites. But when you turn up at the supposed departure point, there’s no boat – and no refund.”
Brits are being warned of ‘bogus’ boat parties(Image: ,Humphrey Nemar)
He urged Brits to keep an eye out for red flags such as vague meeting locations, requests for full payment upfront via bank transfer, and reluctance to provide official booking confirmations or company registration details.
It’s also worth noting that in recent years, Ibiza officials have introduced strict rules around boat parties in a bid to crackdown on unruly tourists. This includes a ban on party boats sailing within one nautical mile of a number of towns on the island, with captains also prevented from picking up and disembarking passengers in the regions.
Other common scams according to James include approaching tourists with ‘discounted’ tickets to clubs such as Pacha or Amnesia.
“They’ll show you what looks like a genuine ticket and claim they can’t use it,” he explained. “The story is always the same: they’re leaving the island early, their friend cancelled, or they double-booked. But these tickets are either completely fake or already used.”
If they won’t let you check the ticket or refuse to provide contact details, be wary. They may also use high pressure tactics such as telling you someone else is interested.
Meanwhile if you’re promised unlimited drinks and queue skips, proceed with caution, especially if you’re being approached in the street. “The legitimate venues don’t work this way,” James pointed out. “Real clubs sell their own packages through official channels. These street sellers are either selling fake vouchers or massively overcharging for basic entry.”
IBIZA’S ‘Final Boss’ Jack Kay has continued his party tour of the island – spending the afternoon with Towie’s James Lock.
The pair were snapped together at Wi-Ki-Woo Hotel in Ibiza as James plugged his agave spirit brand, Cerrar.

Standing underneath a pink umbrella, Jack stood alongside Lock, showing off thick gold chains and rings posing with “finger guns” and a serious face.
James – who had brushed his hair forward in an attempt to emulate Jack’s distinctive bowl cut hairstyle – later uploaded the pic, and joked: “Essex final boss Vs Ibiza final boss 🧑🏽”
The pair’s day together comes after Jack shot to fame in the space of a month after being declared “Ibiza’s final boss” due to his deep tan, tattoos, veneers, goatee beard and signature hairstyle.
He was captured dancing by a TikToker who later gave him the moniker as they posted it online – with the clip quickly picking up steam.

Jack’s hair in particular has been compared to a range of pop-culture icons from Ringo Starr to Friar Tuck and a Lego man.
“Final boss” is a joke from the gaming world used to suggest someone is the ultimate version of a particular stereotype.
Since then, Jack has been lapping up the attention, and it looks like it’s set to make him some serious cash as a result.
His viral fame caught the eye of ITV2’s Big Brother casting team and led to conversations about him joining the upcoming series.
With a potential Big Brother stint too, it’s clear Jack is set to get the last laugh – all the way to the bank.

A source said: “The Ibiza Final Boss has really captured the nation’s imagination and is exactly the kind of character that makes for a fun Big Brother housemate.
“Bosses had talks with his management, it is very late in the casting process for housemates but everyone thought worth a chat whether it be in time for this series, even as part of a task, or for the future.
“Jack’s reps Neon Management have been inundated with offers for him so he’s certainly going to be busy for at least the next few months.
“They’ve seen an unprecedented level of interest in him, and that’s the nation loves him.”

Katie, 47, told us she “feels like Brooklyn Beckham” – who is in the midst of a feud with his high-profile family – after being “isolated” by the teen, who has penned a host of influencer deals and bagged her own TV show.
Now scenes for the 18-year-old’s new TV show, The Princess Diaries, show her joining 24 other models on the catwalk in the White Isle.
She opts for a turquoise dress with bra top detail and a flowing skirt after a last minute outfit change which left her feeling anxious.
She toild the camera: “There’s a lot of models here I don’t really fit in.
“I feel really anxious, I can feel my face getting red.”
Yet after being asked to lead the array of models, Princess’ debut was hugely successful.
Her big brother Junior and his girlfriend Jazz were on hand to sip fizz and offer support inn the crowd.
As she wrapped the catwalk she cheered: “I did it i did it, I’m actually really glad I did it.
“It was a lot less intense than I thought.”
Watch the moment horrified Peter Andre reacts to ‘disgusting’ messages daughter Princess, 18 receives from men online
In a snap shared on EastEnders star Dean Gaffney‘s Instagram page, Katie could be seen partying with the former soap actor.
Standing in between Dean and pal Jamie O’Hara, Katie posed and pouted as the two men beamed.
A source told how the drama then played out between the pair as they were in the same location and said: “This should be a really exciting time for Princess but over the last couple of months her mum has been doing everything she can to take the limelight away from her.
The teen said she is seeking out “financial freedom” through her beauty and fashion brand deals, as well as her own jewellery brand named ‘Sparkle’ by Princess Andre.
“Princess was booked to make her catwalk debut at the opening of the Ibiza Fashion Festival back in June, and what did Katie do?
“She flew out to Ibiza and made sure everyone knew she was there with daily stories and pictures with the likes of Wayne Lineker and Dean Gaffney. It’s embarrassing.”
They added to MailOnline: “What mother wouldn’t want to let their child have their time in the spotlight?
“These latest comments are going to really upset Princess.
“Nothing is private with Katie, it’s all about keeping herself in the limelight.”
The TikTok star also addressed the “dark times” while she was growing up.
While Princess was too young to really remember her parents together, she has traumatic memories of the breakdown of Katie’s third marriage to Kieran Hayler.
In her new ITV2 series – The Princess Diaries – the teen opens up about her younger years and admits: “I did have a counsellor, I do still see her every now and then.
“But I don’t feel like I can really talk, so I just write everything down in my notes.”
She also revealed the sick messages she gets from men when she reveals her figure on social media – leaving dad Peter shocked.

It’s a strange, strange world when I’m feeling sorry for a bunch of Love Island contestants. But in this social media age, it is sadly what it’s come to. For the poor lovelorn bedhoppers at the Mallorca villa have been putting in weeks of seriously hard graft – flashing their abs and parading around in thong bikinis – to get the one precious thing, (I suspect) their hearts truly desired. No, not love. Fame. Glorious, generous, glittering FAME.
But in the days after Monday’s final, the Islanders soon found themselves getting a cold hard lesson in the pitfalls of success: There’s always someone waiting in the wings – ready to cut short your 15 minutes….
Cach Mercer and Toni Laites have been revealed as the winners of Love Island 2025(Image: ITV)
For it wasn’t the winning Islanders “Breaking The Internet” this week. It wasn’t the winning Islanders batting off the biggest brand deals or most enticing DMs from Blue Tick TikTok. And it wasn’t the winning Islanders getting excitable TV companies all in a lather, begging for interviews. It was….a HAIRCUT.
Yes, the biggest celebrity getting buzz online this week wasn’t even a celeb when the week began. He was Jack Kay, a literal normal down-to-earth 26-year-old Jack-the-lad, from Newcastle on holiday in Ibiza.
He’s been offered free holidays, brand endorsement deals, flights on a £5million private jet, and a whole list of big-money nightclub appearances. He’s signed with Joey Essex’s agent and has landed his own tour and – according to media experts – he could be well-placed to launch his own merchandise range and even bag a possible spot on a reality show. All in all, it’s predicted he could rake in a whopping SIX figures by the end of the year.
For nowadays you don’t need to work summer seasons in Blackpool or win a talent show to become a star. You can become ‘famous’ just by making the right people laugh, at the right moment in time, as they absent-mindedly scroll through their phone while listening to podcasts. Yep, Fame has reached Peak Fickledom.
So, when the stars and algorithms do align to make you a viral hit, you need to make the most of it. And while Jack’s ‘success’ is all thanks to what is ON his head, it’s what’s inside it which will prove his biggest asset. For in 2025, turning your viral moment in the sun into a longer-term earner is all about savvy strategy, clear thinking and mindset:
Are Jack Kay/Ibiza Bob’s fellow Geordies Ant and Dec jumping on the Ibiza Final Boss bandwagon?
(*Okay, okay, PhotoShop may have lent a hand). As for the rest of the week? Well, Celebland was throwing us all sorts of surprises…..
Monday mayhem
Be afraid, be very afraid! For the stars of an upcoming new theatre tour have been doing the press rounds this week. And from the sounds of it, there will be no one safe this Halloween and autumn. Indeed, it’s expected to have many a celeb not just quaking but SHAKING, QUAKING, QUIVERING, TREMBLING AND OUTRIGHT SHUDDERING in their boots.
No, it’s not a new take on Phantom of the Opera (albeit some may be haunted by what’s said). Nor is it Saw: The Musical (although that is a multi-million pound idea). It’s the terrifying new two-hander: An Evening With… Katie Price and Kerry Katona. The pair’s tell-all 33-date UK tour was feared to have been cancelled earlier in the summer due to… well, whatever Katie’s snoresome crisis-du-jour was at the time.
Katie Price and Kerry Katona are getting ready for their new tour (But I have a few notes!)(Image: Instagram)
But the pair are back and have now been hitting the interview circuit to give fans a little taste of what to expect. Target one? “Snobby” Strictly – which they publicly dissed this week for having never asked them to take part. (One suspects they’ve now said “Foxtrot Oscar” to any future possibilities too).
Of course, we all know the real dirt will be saved for the show itself. Yet however juicy the eww -some twosome’s tete-a-tete promises to be, I can’t help but wonder if the panto frenemies could have come up with a slightly more, er… spicy format… A WWE-style grudge match with lookalikes of their many nemeses, perhaps? Imagine the commentator yelling to the roaring crowd: “Get Ready to say mi-OWWW! It’s our very own….. Nuclear Cheetah aka Kerry Katona! – from Atomic Kitten to a one-woman weapon of mass destruction…”
Or maybe… they could make it a dramatic retelling of Four Weddings And A Funeral, where Katie’s the bride each time and the funeral’s for her tragic lack of taste? Or finally, what about a musical? After all, KP’s been Defying Gravity for years (with the help of her plastic surgeon).
What a royal twit Tuesday
It’s not been a good week for Royal affairs – of any kind. But a new bombshell biography has cemented one unassailable truth: Young kids fed on fairy tales and Disney movies are far more likely to find themselves a talking warthog or a flying elephant than a real-life Prince Charming.
Yes, a new book by historian Andrew Lownie has claimed Prince Andrew allegedly strayed “more than a dozen” times before his first – yes, first – anniversary with Fergie. Clearly their wedding certificate was not worth the paper it was printed on.

Fergie did have a little something in common with Cinderella however. She was sporting some rather fetching slippers this week. They weren’t glass ones though – they were fluffy numbers emblazoned with the unofficial Royal motto “Never Complain, Never Explain”. It warms the heart, it really does.
Wok you gonna do? Wednesday
The BBC took a leap with its MasterChef dilemma by airing the first episode of the pre-recorded series on Wednesday. Surprisingly they went for primetime BBC1 instead of hiding it on iPlayer only. Presumably they figured they were in for a roasting whatever they did – so they might as well fill a hole in the schedule.
John Torode and Gregg Wallace in the new series of MasterChef, recorded before their two scandals(Image: BBC)
The real stars of the series are the editors who faced the unenviable task of trying to cut out as much of the under-fire Gregg Wallace and John Torode as possible – which from the looks of the results is a bit like trying to remove excess garlic from a pasta dish. You can’t. Everything’s already tainted.
What I don’t understand is why the Beeb didn’t go with my previous suggestion: just do some deep fake trickery. So what could they replace them with? Let’s see: Option 1: A literal toxic trigger warning; Option 2: Bradley Walsh and Rylan Clark (they’re on everything else anyway); Option 3 (and perhaps most apt): Statler and Waldorf. A couple of muppets… who are completely stuffed.
Half-baked deep fakes? What the BBC could have done to solve their MasterChef problem with hosts Gregg Wallace and John Torode
No relief for kangaroo testicles Thursday
Talking of show formats (see Monday), there was one news story this week that left me feeling a little… well, antsy . What was it? This: “ITV bosses are planning the next five years of I’m A Celebrity…” (really? another FIVE?); “With talks under way to film in the jungle until 2030….” (Wait, 2030 is only five years away??); “When it’ll reach its landmark 30th season”. (30 years? 30? 3-0?)
You mean to say we’ve been watching the same show with the same hosts, same sort of trials, same prize, same location, same set and same set of scandals just with different faces… for nearly 30 YEARS? They say doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome is the very definition of insanity. So either, we can all relate to Peter Andre’s infamous jungle-penned hit Insania – written while a campmate in 2004 – or we really don’t mind the deja vu.
So what can we expect over the next few years? Well, I have two predictions:
Ant and Dec have been doing I’m a Celeb for 25 years and counting (Image: ITV)
1. Princess and/or Junior Andre will follow in their parents’ footsteps, going back to the scene of the crime special place where the Katie and Peter’s “love” story first began.
2. Following the “success” of political hires Matt Hancock and Nigel Farage, bosses will make a “bigly” play for President Trump at the end of his term. (If he doesn’t rewrite the US Constitution, that is.) After all, there’s been quite a few (thousand) of his type involved in the show before. Fatima Whitbread even got one stuck up her nose… Much to the chagrin of her and the cockroach, I suspect.
Foolish Friday
It was a mixed day for Richard Osman. On the plus side, Netflix released the first trailer for the movie adaptation of his bestselling crime novel The Thursday Murder Club (starring Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren).
Richard Osman gets loose-lipped on podcast (Image: SKY)
On the downside… Osman – who has produced a number of game shows including Pointless, Total Wipeout, Prize Island, and my absolute FAVOURITE Only Connect – inexplicably decided to tell podcast listeners that quiz shows often use “an algorithm” to stop contestants winning too much money.
It’s obvious to be fair, and while not quite a Gerald Ratner-level own goal, it wasn’t terribly clever. I wouldn’t want to overtly criticise him in a family newspaper, so here’s my verdict – in the style of Only Connect’s Missing Vowels Round. Enjoy! WH TTT LPLNK R*
Picture of the Week
Being a 30-something in today’s world must be tough. There you are, juggling career, love life, social life and saving for an inexplicably-expensive “micro-loft” – and somehow you also have to make time for what’s really important: taking impossibly perfect pics for the ‘Gram.
But it looks like a certain 35-year-old Oscar-winner has got this careful balancing act all figured out. For, Avengers star Brie Larson posted THIS video on Instagram this week.
Brie Larson’s quirky balancing act – HOW IS SHE DOING THAT?(Image: Instagram)
Brie as Captain Marvel: yes, she can save the universe and the fabric of time itself, but can she balance on one stiletto heel atop a can of peaches?(Image: Handout)
And while she might be steady as a rock, I – as Gen Z would say – “am shook” . In fact I’m more impressed by this feat than by any of her big screen Captain Marvel antics.
Brie, who is promoting her new tome, Party People, accompanied this video with a quip: “My social media manager said this will sell 1,000 books. So here I am.” The book in question is a “cookbook for creative celebrations” with “endless ideas for weird and wacky parties” – which goes some way to explaining this impressive-yet-leftfield marketing campaign.
Personally, I’m most amazed by her superhuman pain threshold. For, anyone who has experienced the inherent cruelty of the modern-day torture device known as a stiletto heel, will appreciate that this is not just a demonstration of core strength, stability and precision… but of sheer, sheer, sheer ENDURANCE.
So how did she do it? The way I see it, there’s only one explanation: she’s in the wrong franchise… the girl’s a Wonder Woman for sure.
What do you think? Have you seen some funny celeb moments this week? Let me know in comment or on X/Instagram via @JessicaBoulton

Two young men have died in the last two weeks after falling from the balcony at Ibiza Rocks Hotel in San Antonio, which is known for its live music and vibrant atmosphere but has now been dubbed a ‘death hotel’

Ibiza Rocks Hotel has faced another fatal tragedy(Image: PA)
The notorious Ibiza Rocks Hotel has faced another tragedy after a Brit holidaymaker fell to his death from the hotel’s balcony.
Gary Kelly, 19, was visiting the Spanish island when he fell from the third floor of the four-star Ibiza Rocks Hotel just after midnight on Monday. Two ambulances were sent to the scene, but paramedics said there was nothing they could do to save him.
A spokesman for the Civil Guard confirmed this morning: “We are investigating the death of a 19-year-old British man at a hotel in San Antonio in Ibiza. The alarm was raised around 12.40am this morning.
“Our officers were sent to the scene but the man in question was already dead by the time help arrived. The fall was from from the third floor of the hotel to an outside part of the complex. Court officials authorised the removal of his body at 2.40am this morning.

“The fall could be accidental based on the early information obtained from cameras but as part of the investigation possible witnesses will need to be located and interviewed. The results of the post-mortem will also be important to the investigation.”
Well-placed sources confirmed the hotel where the tragedy occurred is the famous Ibiza Rocks Hotel in San Antonio. The source said: “The post-mortem will help to determine if the man who died had consumed alcohol or taken drugs beforehand and in what quantities.”
The teen’s tragic death comes just a fortnight after Scottish holidaymaker Evan Thomson lost his life after falling from his sixth-floor balcony at the same hotel while celebrating his 26th birthday with friends. Evan was pronounced dead at the scene after medics rushed to the hotel at around 6am on July 7.

Friends and family of Evan blasted bosses over how the aftermath of his death was handled, and claimed the hotel resumed normal operations less than 90 minutes after his traumatic death. They were enraged by social media posts allegedly uploaded hours later advertising their next pool party.
They also claimed they sat in an office “without answers” for an hour after they were informed of Evan’s death before being allowed back to their rooms. Pals of the Brit said they were told to pack up their belongings before being transferred to another nearby hotel.
Evan’s sister Teila said: “Ibiza is known for its partying and it just stuns me that they don’t have higher safety precautions. Pray nobody else suffers. And, once it did happen, the hotel’s response was just completely heartbreaking; almost as if it never happened. I pray no other family has to go through this.”
In April a 33-year-old British woman died at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel(Image: Google Maps)
Remi Duncan, 23, said: “It was disgusting. There was minimal respect for the situation, considering the music went back on soon after Evan had died. It puts a pit in your stomach.”
In April a 33-year-old British woman died at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel. Local police and paramedics rushed to the hotel, situated just metres from one of the world’s most famous sunsets, after the alarm was raised around 6.30pm on April 30.
Emergency responders confirmed when they arrived the holidaymaker had gone into cardiac arrest and spent around 40 minutes practicing CPR on her to try to revive her. She was declared dead at the scene after efforts to save her life proved unsuccessful. Well-placed sources said at the time there was nothing pointing to the death being suspicious.

On April 27 a 19-year-old Italian tourist of Turkish origin plunged to her death from the fourth-floor at the same hotel. She had flown to the island the previous day and gone out partying. She was said at the time to have tried to been trying to reach her room via a balcony from a shared area of the hotel after realising she didn’t have her key card when she lost her footing and fell. Her lifeless body was discovered around 9am on April 27.
In light of Gary’s death, Ibiza Rocks hotel has suspended its events as authorities conduct their inquiries. A statement read: “We are deeply shocked and devastated by the recent incidents that have tragically occurred. Our priority is to support those affected and their loved ones during this incredibly difficult time and to fully assist the authorities with their investigations.
“The safety and wellbeing of our guests has and always will remain our highest priority. Given the seriousness of the situation and out of respect for those involved we believe it is right to pause our advertised events programme at this time. All customers will be informed directly via email.”

The Ibiza Rocks Hotel, a hotspot known for its live music poolside events featuring top artists and DJs, is a magnet for British holidaymakers. The venue boasts a large pool, sun terraces, bars, and entertainment, drawing in young Brits with its vibrant atmosphere. Tourists are often seen dancing on balconies up to six floors above the music stage or in the swimming pool, often while intoxicated.
One person who stayed there “many years ago” told the Mirror: “It was full of 18-24 year olds, girls were more interested in their looks etc than getting drunk but the boys were getting very drunk and high. Drugs were most of the problem. I actually saw the body of a teenager lying on the ground after he fell from the balcony of a hotel nearby. It turned out he was the precious son of a good family who was on his first boys holiday and was a talented rugby player.”
The party schedule has been paused in light of the latest tragedy
They added: “The main trouble is ketamine – it makes users hallucinate and feel invincible. Spanish police once said it was main reason for the balcony deaths – and the fact that guys try to get to each other balconies for a laugh. It has not changed sadly.”
Former guests at the hotel have shared their thoughts on social media. One partygoer wrote: “It’s a really fun place… until it isn’t. It’s 24/7 carnage, just party after party with everyone dancing on balconies or swimming in pools even though they’re wasted.”
Another expressed on X: “This place needs shut down! The stories that are coming out and the way they treat their guests is appalling! A pattern like this shows serious safety failings but they continued business as usual and now unfortunately another young man has died! Heartbreaking.”
Someone else commented: “The balcony railings are far too low it seems to me.” Another fumed: “How many people need to die before you ACTUALLY do something about the safety of your hotel! absolutely ridiculous!!!!! Rest in peace Evan, so lucky to have known you.”
On TripAdvisor, yet another slammed: “A horror, to flee absolutely!! Hotel just horrible. Customers are disrespectful and there is no control or oversight by staff. If you want to spend a sleepless night, you’ve come to the right place: it’s noisy, poorly insulated, and chaos reigns all night. No respect for the rest of others. A frankly unpleasant experience from start to finish. Go your way!”
In a review from August last year one holidaymaker wrote: “DECADENT! Hotel is full of drunk people screaming and shouting 24/7 – security is rude and they don’t have control over it”.
Despite concerns being raised, the hotel has previously received a huge number of positive comments following a stay at the party hotel. One traveller wrote on Tripadvisor: “Wow!!! I have just got back from 4 nights @ Ibiza Rocks and it has been INCREDIBLE! I travelled alone with a friend meeting me out there later in the week!”
A second added: “This hotel is absolutely wild and is totally for the party goers in Ibiza. There is music daily. The hotel is very clean, staff are fabulous and so accommodating. I was expecting a very young crowd here but surprising the age group was late 20’s to mid 40’s which was great. It was definitely an experience”.
A third shared: “Stayed for a hen party with a group of 15 girls – hotel was fantastic, rooms were clean & staff were really friendly & helpful – highly recommend the rooftop room for hens was so great having the extra space! The chill pool is so good, prices there are so reasonable too – shop on site and also right opposite with everything you need – walking distance to everywhere you want to go that side of the Island!”
The Mirror has contacted Ibiza Rocks Hotel for a comment.
A beach in the UK has been compared to the stunning shores of Majorca and Ibiza, thanks to its breathtaking scenery. One visitor recently described her trip to this much-loved destination.

A woman exploring the UK in search of its most scenic locations recently highlighted a stunning Cornish beach. Cornwall, with its array of beautiful shores and natural landscapes, draws tourists from all over Britain and beyond.
Cornwall is a beloved holiday spot in the UK, famed for its coastline, idyllic beaches, vibrant surfing scene, and attractions like the Eden Project and Tintagel Castle. British holidaymakers flock to the county for seaside escapades with their partners, families, or friends during the summer months, and Cornwall never disappoints. Lizzy Parkin, a travel blogger based in the Cotswolds, took to TikTok to share her latest coastal discovery in Cornwall.
She began by saying: “I’m on a mission to find places across the UK that make people say ‘I can’t believe this is the UK’ because as Brits, me included, we love to be negative about our own home but I’m trying to change that by sharing places that are undeniably beautiful and we’re starting strong with a spot near Penzance in Cornwall.”
Lizzy enthused: “This gem of a beach looks straight out of Majorca or Ibiza if you ask me, though the water is a little colder.”
She also mentioned that it’s “located on the most beautiful coastal path” but cautioned that the walk down isn’t the easiest, involving a “short scramble” to reach the beach, so she advised potential visitors to tread carefully when heading to this location.
The travel fan called the scenery on the way down to the beach “absolutely unreal” and revealed that it is Pedn Vounder Beach, found near the village of Treen in Cornwall.
Nestled among the cliffs of Treryn Dinas, Pedn Vounder boasts crystal clear turquoise waters and white sands.
Content cannot be displayed without consent
Cornwall Beaches recognises it as West Cornwall’s most famous spot for naturism, but Lizzy noted in her TikTok post’s comments that the beach was mostly full of visitors wearing swimsuits and a sign indicates it’s not entirely a nudist beach.
Cornwall Beaches explains that Pedn Vounder lies at the eastern end of Porthcurno cove, with the renowned Logan Rock perched atop the headland to the east, a massive granite boulder delicately balanced on the cliff tops of Treen.
Lizzy’s TikTok footage showcasing the breathtaking beauty of Pedn Vounder Beach has racked up 412,000 views, 45,000 likes, and over 200 comments so far.
One user raved: “Pedn Vounder is the best beach in the UK. Took my breath away when I first saw it recently. As good as any beach anywhere in the world!”
Another commented: “Just got back from Thailand and Pedn Vounder was as beautiful as.”
A third was astounded: “I can’t believe this is the UK!!! Wow.” And a fourth echoed: “Okay but I can’t believe this is the UK.”
Fearne Cotton is enjoying the single life – and unearthing a refreshingly different side to party Island Ibiza – and we’ve tried and tested it just for you….

Fearne gets her zen on with GetYourGuide in Ibiza
Most of us have jetted off to Ibiza for a holiday to remember (and some cracking stories to bring home) – or at least had pals heading to the famous White Isle for some serious clubbing, probably followed by quite the hangover the following morning as they languish poolside.
But TV presenter and former radio DJ Fearn Cotton is hoping to open travellers’ eyes to a very different side to beautiful Ibiza – an island she’s loved and visited each year for a long time now – which you can sample in less than a day. The perfect, chilled-out accompaniment to any holiday to the party hotspot.
The former radio DJ looked radiant during her boat trip
The 43-year-old mum-of-two, who is positively glowing and clearly enjoying the single life following her recently split from ex-husband Jesse Woods after 10 years of marriage, wants travellers to the party island to think about alternative days out when they’re there, as research reveals that over a third of British travellers would actually avoid bars and clubs while visiting the beloved Spanish island.
As gorgeous Fearne says “Trust me, we’ve all had some Ibiza experiences we can’t quite remember. That’s why I’m back to experience another side of the White Isle with GetYourGuide. And I promise you, I won’t forget it.”
Having now followed in the star’s footsteps, we can confirm that yes, it absolutely is possible to hit up Ushuaia Ibiza for a superstar DJ set one day, and find yourself indulging in a spot of yoga in a magically unspoilt location the next. In fact, it’s a must.
Enter Ibiza: Unplugged wellness experiences – a genius collaboration between Happy Place founder Ferne and GetYourGuide which, at a remarkably reasonable 40 euros – a price which would just about get you into one of Ibiza’s top clubs, you can step away from the madness for a day and try something refreshingly different.
Local guide Pablo is a fountain of knowledge on everything from the best clubs to the best secret covers
The experience, which is a half-day itinerary, includes a beautiful sunrise hike, a boat trip (or a relaxing ‘snooze cruise’ as Fearne puts it) with a stop off for swimming in the most crystal clear waters you’ll ever experience, where the views across the Formentera are nothing short of spectacular, a yoga class in the cool pine forest overlooking a secluded cove and a zen-inducing sound bath. Heaven..
During our escape to the sun-soaked isle, where we also sampled the chic vibes of 5 star hotel The Mondrian Ibiza, perched above the stunning turquoise waters of Cala Llonga, we tested out Fearne’s lush itinerary ourselves. And yes, we can tell you, it’s the perfect anecdote to the buzzing party spots, even if you’re ready to hit the town the next day.
Kicking off with an easy to moderate hike – which sets off at around 6am so you’re not trekking in baking temperatures, takes you up the mountain to a spot where you have a stunning view of tiny uninhabited island Es Vedrà at sunrise. Perfect golden light for the Gram, if you really must!
The sunrise hike offers views like no other, as Fearne discovered
A tiny, rocky island which stands at roughly 400 metres high, Es Vedrà is seen as a mystical location by locals and travellers alike – one that’s associated with a magnetic, positive energy which many, sceptics included, have said pulls them back to the island, time and again.
It’s with this stunning view that GetYourGuide travellers can then settle in under a beautiful sun-dappled pines to indulge in some yoga with a brilliant local teacher. Ours was incredible, she located exactly where my back problems lay and offered me a mini-massage, as we attempted our downward dogs.
That’s another thing – like the hike, the yoga session is perfect for beginners and pros alike. Everything can be done at your own pace – with the help of hunky guide Pablo Leonard, co-founder of travel company Into The Island.
Pablo is more than happy to chat about life on Ibiza, throw in some local restaurant recommendations (we visited Monkey Ibiza with its outdoor pools and boho food-to-table Aubergine with its beautiful garden on his recommendation and both get our vote). Hell, he’ll even rustle you up a nifty mango-based sangria during your boat-trip, if you play your cards right.
Fearne shares her best secret spots on the curated experience
Wellness advocate Fearne, who admits Ibiza is her ‘happy place’, says:: ‘I first visited Ibiza 20 years ago and fell in love with the island’s energy and people. There’s something truly magical about this place and however hectic my life gets, a trip here will always bring me back to myself.
“Over the last two decades I’ve discovered the best secret spots for sunrise hikes, chilly dips and soulful yoga sessions. And this summer I’m going to let you in on some of my hidden gems.
“With GetYourGuide I’ve curated the perfect way to unplug and spend a chilled day in Ibiza, guided by true experts that know the island like the back of their hand. And the best thing about it? It’s all for the price of a club entry. So treat yourself to a night off!”
And mental health advocate Fearne’s love of a more low-key vibe on occasion seems to be reflected in the habits of a whole lot of discerning holidaymakers these days.
According to a survey by GetYourGuide and YouGov, around 1 in 30 British travellers avoid clubbing and hangovers – to make sure they’re getting the greatest benefit out of their holiday activities.
It’s not hard to see why Ibiza is Fearne’s happy place
It would seem it’s also the hefty price of drinks (32%) and club entry (32%) which are putting more than a third of club-loving British from hitting the clubs when abroad – with British travellers three times more likely to pick a holiday because it has a well-known spa (13%) as opposed to a banging nightclub (4%).
After experiencing GetYourGuide ambassador Fearne’s carefully curated Ibiza activities for ourselves we are converted to the idea that you can go wild one night, find your inner zen and take in some jaw-dropping scenery the next. Ibiza, you’re a special place. We will be back…
Ibiza Unplugged is running on selected dates throughout August, and has been co-created with trusted GetYourGuide partner, Into The Island.
Bookings are live now for ‘Ibiza: Unplugged’ on the GetYourGuide website and app www.getyourguide.com– available on a first-come-first-serve basis on 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd August 2025.
Formentera is the smallest of the Balearic Islands, but it is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, and has everything that Majorca and Ibiza has to offer
The golden beaches and turquoise waters of Formentera island(Image: Anton Petrus via Getty Images)
Tucked away in the Balearic Islands, this tiny gem boasts all the allure of Majorca and Ibiza, from stunning beaches to vibrant restaurants and parties, yet remains blissfully crowd-free.
As the smallest of the Balearics, Formentera spans a mere 32.14 square miles, with a slender width of just one and a half miles at its narrowest point. Measuring 12 miles in length and four miles in width, its compact size belies the wealth of untouched white beaches and crystal-clear waters that have earned it a reputation as one of Europe’s most coveted destinations.
Dubbed “one of the jewels of Spain”, Formentera is home to a mere 11,389 residents, according to the latest population census in January 2023 – a far cry from the 159,180 inhabitants of its more populous neighbour, Ibiza.
One of the island’s most unique charms is its lack of an airport. While this may present a minor inconvenience for some, it means that visitors must take a scenic ferry ride from Ibiza, which typically lasts between 30 and 40 minutes.
During peak season, departures are frequent, with sleek catamarans capable of carrying over 200 passengers setting sail every half hour, reports the Express.
Regular passenger services from mainland Spain have also contributed to the island’s growing popularity, yet Formentera remains mercifully free from the crowds that flock to its more famous neighbours.
Spain’s Formentera island is small but very attractive(Image: Rafael Elias via Getty Images)
The island’s limited road network, connecting only the key areas, adds to the sense of seclusion and tranquillity that pervades this hidden gem.
From May to September, Formentera bursts into its prime – a landscape exuding warmth and splendour. While it doesn’t reach the scorching heights of Majorca’s low 30s in August, average temperatures linger delightfully in the mid-to-high 20s during the peak summer months of July and August.
This European gem is esteemed for its stunning coastal lines, with Ses Illetes topping the list as Formentera’s crowning beach treasure, nestled in the northern part of the island with its expansive sandy stretches and inviting waterfront eateries.
Plaja de Migjorn unfurls almost 4 miles of rugged rock and sand coastline, celebrated as the untamed heart of Formentera’s seaside.
Not to be missed is Es Cavall d’en Borras: a stone’s throw from the port of La Savina, this haven boasts powdery white beaches and crystal-clear waters alongside breathtaking views of deserted islets like Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell, crowned by the island’s famed sunsets.
The in-vogue Beso Beach restaurant offers more than just exquisite meals — its iconic bench with a view, adorned with the words “no hay verano sin beso” (“there is no summer without a kiss”), has become a photographer’s muse.
In contrast to its sister isles, Formentera’s nightlife adopts a more subdued tempo, with its limited yet vibrant clubs and bars designed in the spirit of Ibiza’s legendary scene, including hotspots such as Rigatoni Club Formentera and Pachacha.
Formentera has been a cradle of human activity since the Bronze Age, with records dating from around 2000 to 1600 BC. The isle boasts significant ancient remnants and megalithic structures such as the Naveta des Cap de Barbaria, a burial chamber erected in 1700 BC.
These historical sites are accessible through pathways, inviting visitors to delve into the eras of bygone civilisations and their enduring heritages.
On Tripadvisor, accolades for Formentera and its stunning beaches abound. Regarding Ses Illetes, one person said: “Any trip to Formentera would be improved by visiting this outstanding and beautiful beach,” while another lauded Platja de Migjorn, calling it an “amazing beach, very relaxed, not busy and easy to find your own space”.
The loved-up couple shocked fans when they called time on their romance despite appearing to be happier than ever just months ago.
But Helen appeared as though she didn’t have a care in the world as she danced and partied atWayne Lineker‘s famed O BeachIbizaclub.
She could be seen cuddled up to the venue’s owner Wayne as she thanked him for his hospitality in hosting her and her friends at the venue.

Helen flaunted her incredible figure in the plunging bikini top as she soaked up the sun.
With her wavy blonde locks in a chic bob cut, Helen looked every inch the glam goddess with her minimal makeup and rosy pink lip.
However, the day after, the star took to her Instagram stories to describe her hangover from hell.
She captioned the video: “I never ever have hangovers as I am the worst on a hangover.”
And told her followers: “I am really hungover like a lizard. I am literally so hangover.

“I won’t be drinking for like a long time. I’ve got the school run tomorrow. Oh my god. I literally got in at six in the morning.”
Helen held her head in her hands and she took deep breaths.
She then enjoyed a relaxing spa day at the TRS Ibiza Hotel where she “finally found some zen.”
What do we know about Helen Flanagan’s new boyfriend Robbie Talbot?
HELEN Flanagan has revealed that she is in a new relationship.
While appearing on Celebs Go Dating, she confessed that she was already taken – here’s everything we know about her boyfriend Robbie Talbot.
Helen has opened up about her relationship with former footballer Robbie Talbot.
He is a decade older than the actress.
Robbie was born in Liverpool on October 31, 1979 which is how he earned his nickname Halloween Hitman in football.
He has played for a series of non-league teams such as Burton Albion, Burscough and Morcambe.
He then became a coach at Ashton in 2010.
Robbie is retired from football.
He left his role as Assistant Manager at Ashton due to family and work commitments in 2011.
It’s unknown what he has done for work since leaving football.
Helen admitted that she was dating Robbie while appearing on Celebs Go Dating.
In a first for the show, it has been revealed that her relationship had to be written into the series due to requirements that those taking part have to be single.
The pair went public at her birthday party on August 10, 2024.
The Celebs Go Dating star had claimed she wanted children with the ex-non-league footie star.
But friends say the mum of three instead now wants to concentrate on her career and family.
A source said: “They want different things in life. She has just landed a new acting job and is trying to juggle work projects with the kids.
“She sat him down two weeks ago and said, ‘This isn’t working’. It was a grown-up chat.
“She just wants to be on her own for a while although she still has feelings for him.”

The short-term rental platform, Airbnb, has named one Albanian city a “White Isle dupe” – offering resplendent and pristine beaches and a vibrant nightlife at a fraction of the cost of Ibiza

Airbnb has named this city a ‘White Isle dupe’ in a report detailing the UK’s top travel trends for summer 2025. Offering beach clubs and an ever-growing nightlife scene, this Albanian city is ideal for those that want an Ibiza experience on a budget.
“Brits are increasingly seeking vibrant fun-filled settings that offer the same bohemian charm and buzzing nightlife as Ibiza’s White Isle – but without the hefty price tags,” according to Airbnb.
Durrës, Albania is one such gem. Airbnb confirms that searches for the city situated on the Adriatic Coast are “booming” at the moment as Brits explore cheap holiday destinations. But Durrës is more than a destination dupe, it has a rich history that is ready to be unpacked by tourists.

Durrës is one of the oldest and most significant port cities in the Balkans, with a history that dates back nearly 3,000 years. Its impressively storied history has earned Durrës the title “eternal city” on the Adriatic Sea.
One of the biggest draws to the area are undoubtedly its sandy beaches. Durrës is home to some of Albania’s most stunning beaches, equally equipped for water sport enthusiasts and lazing sunbathers.
The most popular beach in the city is its namesake beach: Durrës Beach. The golden arc of sand has been compared to the French Riviera and is defined by shallow water and soft sand. Keep in mind though that there are hidden rocks that lurk in port-adjacent areas so you may want to pack water shoes.
Travellers looking for a bit of adventure can rent jet skis or try parasailing on Durrës Beach. Beach volleyball is also commonly found on the north end, as are yoga sessions hosted by the bigger beach clubs.
Heading north from Durrës Beach, travellers will arrive at another local gem: Golem Beach. Located 20 kilometres south of Durrës’ city centre, Golem beach is worth a visit with about 3.5 kilometres of soft, golden sand and turquoise waters. There are plenty of other beaches – both hidden gems and hotspots – that are fairly easy to reach from the city centre.

If you’re looking for a more cultured experience, there are also numerous galleries, theatres and museums to explore within Durrës. One of the most frequented is the Archeological Museum showcasing artifacts spanning multiple eras.

If you’re looking for more modern amenities and cultural enrichment, the southern side of the city is the better bet. Here, you’ll find buzzy restaurants and resorts, as well as the much-raved about nightlife scene.
In its list of White Isle destination dupes, Airbnb also names Tivat, Montenegro and Agadir, Morocco as places to keep on your radar. Tivat is tagged as a “Monaco-meets-Ibiza” coastal city and its pier recently enjoyed a multi-million dollar makeover.
Contrastingly, Agadir in North Africa promises laidback charm and surf-friendly shores for those interested in hitting the waves.

Dani and her close friends and family jetted to Ibiza on Friday for more pre-wedding celebrations.
The TV star shared Instagram stories of her on the flight with a bottle of Limoncello in her hand.
She flashed a big smile while wearing heart-shaped sunglasses, a veil on her head and a lace garter around the leg.
In a major nod to her future husband, Dani wore West Ham United’s traditional kit, with a claret shirt with blue sleeves, white shorts, and white socks.
On the back of the t-shirt had ‘Mrs Bowen to be’, with Jarrod’s jersey number 20.
This isn’t the first hen party Dani’s had in recent weeks.
The father-daughter duo discussed Dani’s upcoming nuptials – as well as Jarrod’s stag-do on their Live and Let Dyers podcast.
Dani said: “If you can go, Jarrod gets back on the Thursday and we’re married Saturday.”
At this point, Danny, 47, swiftly interjected by cheering: “Strippers!”
His daughter, however, proceeded to disagree with this possibility, saying “no, you’re not.”
She added: “We had a butler in the buff, but we had to draw him. We had to draw the naked man.”
The Marching Powder actor remarked: “That’s what we would do. We’d probably draw the…”
Dani cut in: “It’s different, I’m sorry, it’s so different.”
Dani and Jarrod got engaged last summer on a romantic boat trip in Ibiza, having escaped for a minibreak.
The couple left their one-year-old twin daughters Star and Summer at home with family, along with Dani’s son Santiago, three, from a previous relationship.
Speaking previously to Fabulous, Dani revealed: “We’ve found the venue, which is beautiful. It’s giving Bridgerton vibes. I want violins.
“I’m just praying it doesn’t rain. We’re getting married in the UK, so you never know!”
She added that their wedding “is very family-focused” with their twin daughters as flower girls.
“Jarrod’s little brother and my little Santi will be page boys,” she continued.
How Dani Dyer transformed her reputation
The daughter of everyone’s favourite EastEnders geezer Danny, is currently living the high life.
But Dani has had a rollercoaster few years, from her Love Island win back in 2018, to watching her son’s father Sammy Kimmence go to prison for fraud, and now navigating her glamourous new life as a WAG and mother of twin babies.
In recent years, Dani has completely shaken off the ‘chav’ persona, and has become one of the most well-known of the current EnglandWAGs.
Fabulous spoke to celebrity PR expert Ed Hopkins to find out the key steps Dani has taken to reinvent herself, including the tips she has borrowed from iconic WAG Cheryl Cole.
Ed revealed that Dani’s ability to navigate personal challenges, such as the scandal involving Sammy, has greatly played a crucial role in her reinvention.
Ed said: “By openly discussing her struggles and triumphs, she has built a strong, relatable persona.
“Her transparency about her personal life, including solo parenting and dealing with public scrutiny, has garnered significant public support and empathy.”
He also shared that Dani’s openness in discussing the challenges of motherhood, has helped to transform her reputation.
Ed said: “This openness has made her more relatable to a broader audience, particularly young mothers. She balances her public image by sharing both the joys and hardships of parenting, creating a more nuanced and authentic brand.”
Her unwavering support for her partner, has cemented her as one of the most well-known WAGS of this generation, according to Ed.
He said: “Her active support for Jarrod, including attending football matches and engaging with fans, mirrors the strategies used by high-profile WAGs like Cheryl Cole and Victoria Beckham, who also stood by their partners publicly and built their own identities alongside them.”
Not only this, but Ed revealed that Dani has been able to stay relevant over the years due to her candid use of social media.
He said: “Dani has consistently used media platforms to share her narrative, from interviews to social media updates.
“She has managed to stay relevant by engaging with her followers through candid posts and professional collaborations.
“This approach is reminiscent of how Victoria Beckham transitioned from pop stardom to a respected fashion designer, using media to reframe her public image.”
“My brother Arty is going to be a groomsman.
“Then I’ve got six bridesmaids. Knowing Dad, he will be an emotional wreck.
“He’s already planning his speech, too, but I’m not worried.
“I’m more concerned about Jarrod’s best man. He’s very cheeky.”

The Ibiza resident blasted that these type of tourists should never have been allowed to board the plane in the first place.
Shocking footage showed a packed plane with passengers appearing to bang on luggage compartments and yell: “Come on Ibiza!”
Multiple travellers appeared to be waving their arms and legs around while sat during the loud journey.
And some who seemingly found the whole situation hilarious decided to record the noisy chanting.
The Spanish local said that her “flight from London to Ibiza was absolutely horrible“.
The passenger said she was “scared” while travelling on the jet “full of real English animals”.
“Everyone standing, screaming, guys hitting each other, drinking bottles of alcohol one after the other and stopping the flight attendants from doing their job,” she added.
The appalled passenger called her experience: “Real hell.”
She said of the footage which she managed to record: “This video is the just the end because I couldn’t film what happened during the journey.”
Barrachina also claimed that Brit passengers were drunk and high before boarding.

She continued: “Taking pills and drinking alcohol at the same time, which I saw with my own eyes.
“It was a really wild 2.5 hour flight.”
The Spanish passenger raged: “This shouldn’t be allowed. They shouldn’t let scum like this get on a plane or sell alcohol on board.
“We don’t want this type of tourism in Ibiza, they should stay at home.”
She branded the uncontrollable Brits “wild animals”.
The Ibiza resident also told a local Ibizan newspaper: “I’m not afraid of flying because I’ve flown around the world but I had a panic attack because it was like being in a pub, in a nightclub, but in the air.”
She claimed that multiple air stewards asked some of the passengers for their documentation, only to be told: “F**k off.”
The “wild” passengers were let off the plane after reaching Ibiza airport and identifying themselves.
EasyJet told The Sun: “We can confirm that flight EZY2307 from Luton to Ibiza on May 16 was met by police on arrival due to a group of passengers behaving in a disruptive manner.
“The safety and wellbeing of passengers and crew is always easyJet’s priority.
“Whilst such incidents are rare we take them very seriously and do not tolerate disruptive behaviour onboard.”
Barrachina posted the footage on Saturday – one day before thousands of people marched in Canary Islands capitals as part of a new anti-mass tourism protest.
Locals in the Balearic Islands, which include Ibiza, are due to stage their protest on June 15.
