MAYA Jama looked incredible as she stepped out in Paris for Fashion Week – just moments after back in the UK she was being compared to the Honey Monster. 

The fashionista and Love Island host is currently making waves on Celebrity Traitors, but in the French capital Maya traded in killer instincts for a killer look in a black and white dress. 

Keeping her long locks poker straight, Maya wore a tight white dress with a black bodice as she arrived at the Louboutin show – wearing snakeskin shoes made by the iconic footwear brand to complete the look. 

Smiling and waving, Maya looked in great spirits as she made her way into the Womenswear Spring/Summer 2027 event. 

While she was rubbing shoulders with the fashion world’s elite, back in the UK she was on our screens sporting a very different look on Celebrity Traitors – one that definitely raised eyebrows in a way that was unexpected. 

Donning a thick, fluffy mustard yellow coat in the Scottish castle, she quickly drew comparisons with the Sugar Puffs mascot, the Honey Monster.

Traitors winner thinks Maya Jama and Richard E Grant have made ‘big mistake’

In a chat with Rob Beckett, the comedian couldn’t help but joke: “You look like the Honey Monster’s lost his head!” 

But he better be careful with comments like that – considering he’s one of the people who has his fate in her hands. 

Maya was chosen by host Claudia Winkleman to be one of this year’s traitors, joining Richard E Grant in the ultimate game of deception. 

On tonight’s episode, they were seen bringing comedian James Acaster into their murderous fold – with journalist Amol Rajan becoming their first victim. 

However, while Maya has flown under the radar, suspicion has already been raised around Richard, who foolishly declared he was a traitor within minutes of the roundtable where the killers were decided. 

Since then, he’s been working with Maya to try and keep the suspicion at bay, blaming his “excitement” at being on the show for the gaffe, and claiming he was trying to initiate a “Spartacus-like moment” that backfired.

Now viewers have to wait a week to see if his attempts to throw the faithful off the scent has been successful, with the roundtable which gives the faithful a chance to banish someone ending on a cliffhanger.

If he’s successful, he will rejoin Maya and James in the turret to decide who out of Professor Hannah Fry and Jerry Hall to kill off next.

All the other players had earned their safety in the daily challenge, with Ross Kemp opting to save everyone after they were buried alive rather than go for the prize money.

While they ended up walking away with only half the cash, it cemented his position as a faithful to most of the players – a move which backfired on the traitors, who had placed him as the only star to remain above ground in a bid to raise suspicion on him and his paranoid behaviour.

The Celebrity Traitors continues next Thursday at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

He thought at first that this was simply because of an air pocket, but “it took a lot of time, almost a minute”.

Everyone who had not been seated fell to the floor, the 40-year-old said.

“After a couple of seconds, we started to hear screams. ‘There is blood, there is stabbing, we need help’,” Polovincik said.

“At the end of the day, you understand very, very quickly that literally there is nothing that you can do at this point in time,” he said.

Polovincik, a performance marketing analyst, said he tried to “be cool” for his children.

“You just tell them, yeah, everything’s going to be all right. It’s just a malfunction in the aeroplane, there is a crew under control, the passengers are helping them, [you] hug them really hard and try to keep your face so it doesn’t look very panicked, try to keep your tone of voice.”

But he said there was naturally a “high degree of panic” on the flight.

There were lots of families with children on the plane because the flight took place towards the end of a Jewish holiday period.

After about 10 to 15 minutes, he said a passenger in the cockpit told them the incident was “under control” and other staff were flying the plane.

In a video released by Netanyahu’s office, passenger Yaniv Hayun described putting the attacker in a chokehold and pulling him out of the cockpit before other passengers helped pin him down.

Two other pilots who were onboard the flight then took over the controls and safely landed the plane, which had been carrying more than 150 passengers.

Polovincik said: “After they told us that the situation is, again, ‘under control’, then it was a bit harder to tell the kids that it’s malfunctioned because people start to walk around the aeroplane covered with blood.”

Polovincik was praised Indian pilot, Capt Smit Machchhar, who fought off his attacker and opened the door to the cockpit, allowing passengers to step in.

“Without him opening the door, we’re probably not speaking here right now,” he said, adding that he “can’t even start saying our gratitude for this human being”.

Polovincik said that, although he was not religious, he could not escape “the feeling that it was the hand of God yesterday” that had put “the pieces on the board in the way that they did”.

“It’s remarkable.”
