LOOSE Women star Nadia Sawalha revealed she’s been dealing with a “horrendous” health anxiety battle.

The TV personality, 60, said she constantly overthinks that she’s going to get sick and develop a “dreadful” disease.

Nadia shared the health update with fans on her latest YouTube vlog post as she insisted her “awareness” can become “draining”.

The ITV panellist star said: “I’m always worrying that I’ve got some new and dreadful disease.

“Something will pop up on Instagram or my 17 or 21-year-old will share something with me on TikTok or a magazine and I will just obsess.

“It’s a bit like a hot and cold running buffet and I go from one dish to another and the dishes I choose to nibble on the most is dementia, petrifying, I probably today questioned, I’m really not exaggerating, probably 20 to 35 times today… been to Loose Women, been on the train, been on the bus, talked to all sorts of different people, popped into a shop, there wasn’t anything I did today, any interaction or transaction where I didn’t go ‘that was a bit weird, is that dementia?’

“It’s horrendous.

“That’s one of them. Another one breast cancer, another one bowel cancer, if you think about it those are all diseases or illnesses that there’s been fantastic work done on awareness.

“Don’t get me wrong awareness is good, lives are saved because of awareness.

“But I think I’m too aware because there are so often articles ‘don’t miss the early bloody signs’, everything seems an early sign. “

Nadia revealed she has a fears that she will catch Weil’s disease one day – a bacterial infection contracted from the urine of infected rats.

“Sometimes I allow myself to hover over a really rare thing like Weil’s disease, is caused by rats in the water, I never swim in fresh water where there’s rats, but I can literally convince myself it is something I have,” Nadia continued.

“Skin cancer, constantly looking at moles, constantly convincing myself, oh my god, it’s so draining.”

Nadia admitted it’s “exhausting” and “wears her out” on a daily basis.

She said: “It steals the joy of life, I could be having a good time with family and then I’m like ‘I’m going to have that illness soon and I won’t be here’, and I can’t discuss it with my kids because they get mad, they’re terrified.”

Nadia added: “Another thing I get scared of is asbestos, I had a bit of it in the garden, Mark picked it up and put in the bin and I keep thinking he had a bit on him.”

Nadia’s health battle comes after she revealed she’s “devastated” after a friend and co-star was axed from the show amid the brutal ITV budget cuts. 

It was recently reported that as of next year Loose Women will drop its live studio audience as part of a series of cost-cutting changes. 

Now Nadia has confirmed the huge change and told how it means one of her friends will no longer have a job on the show. 

Speaking in a recent YouTune with husband Mark Adderley, she said: “From next year there will be no Loose Women audience. 

“I am totally devastated by this fact, I can’t get over it at all. Not only because the audience is so important for the show, but also my dear friend Lee who I work with every day.”

Comedian Lee Peart has been the Loose Women warm-up act since 2017. 

An ITV source said: “While there is a proposal to not have a studio audience for Loose Women from 2026, that doesn’t necessarily mean that we’ll never have a studio audience again, it just won’t be in the same way as it is now.

“At this stage we are still exploring new ways of working and producing the show when we move to a new studio next year.”

Last month it was announced that Loose Women will air for only 30 weeks of the year from January. 

The shock move came as part of broader budget reductions across the channel, which also included halving Lorraine’s airtime to 30 minutes and airing it only during school term time.

Former flight attendant Kristina Galvydyte has lifted the lid on some of the shocking things she’s witnessed on planes and the holiday destinations that are “horrendous” for flight attendants

A former flight attendant has exposed three top holiday destinations favoured by British tourists as “horrendous” to fly to. In an eye-opening discussion about the less glamorous side of commercial travel, ex-air hostess Kristina Galvydyte, 32, opened up about some of the most appalling incidents she’s encountered 30,000ft in the skies.

The ex-flight attendant shared hair-raising tales either experienced personally or recounted by colleagues during her stint in the industry. Incidents involving intoxicated passengers “screaming”, possible drug activity in lavatories, verbal assaults, overdoses and cases of sickness were among the alarming stories mentioned.

Talking to the Telegraph, Kristina, who was described as “no-nonsense” and ultimately decided to hang up her wings at a British airline, pinpointed certain hotspots as exceptionally troublesome.

She singled out Ibiza, Turkey, and the Canary Islands, especially Tenerife, for having particularly challenging flights – dubbing them “horrendous” to travel to.

In the year leading to September 30, 2024, it was found that one in five summer visitors to Ibiza were from the UK, with a hefty 833,259 Britons landing on the party isle.

Statistics coming out of the Canary Islands show British nationals represented 40% of all overseas tourists in 2024. This translated into a whopping 6.3 million individuals picking the Canaries for their break, showing an increase of half a million compared to the year before.

In February, Turkey saw a 16.6 per cent surge in UK holidaymakers in 2024 compared to the previous year, with over 4.4 million Brits soaking up the sun. Meanwhile, last year, Spanish residents were reportedly fuming over “boozy British tourists” wreaking havoc on flights.

A flight from Manchester to Ibiza was forced to divert after a drunken Brit downed a bottle of vodka, assaulted crew members, and even spat at fellow passengers.

Ryanair, the low-cost carrier caught up in the chaos, has since announced measures to curb such antics. CEO Michael O’Leary has called for a two-drink limit per passenger, stating: “It’s not that easy for airlines to identify people who are inebriated. As long as they can stand up, they’ll get through. Then, when the plane takes off, we see the misbehaviour.”

Last month, Ryanair announced it would fine passengers removed from flights due to their behaviour a minimum of £500 and will continue to pursue civil damages.

In April, Brits jetting off to Spain were alerted to a law that could land them with fines up to £25,000. This regulation targets noisy parties in tourist accommodations across the Balearic Islands, which includes Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera.

The law could mean people would be hit with fines of £1,283 to £2,567 for any parties in tourist homes that generate a nuisance for neighbours between 11pm and 8am.

Indeed, as per Diario de Mallorca, repeat offenders could be slapped with a fine of up to £25,000. At the time of the report, Josep Castells, a deputy from Més per Menorca, anticipated the bill to be put forward for a vote in the first half of 2025.

A British doctor on holiday in Sri Lanka was “horrified” when his girlfriend woke him in the middle of the night convinced something was inside their room.

When he turned on the lights to reality was disgusting – a rat the size of a small cat was in their luxury hotel room.

Kiran Morjaria, a doctor and Youtuber, shared a truly horrifying story with his 32,000 TikTok followers that will leave anyone wanting to sleep with the lights on during your next getaway.

Explaining his girlfriend is “terrified of insects” Kiran told his partner she was just imagining things when she woke him up in the middle of the night. However, what he later found was much worse than a noisy cricket or rogue mosquito.

He said: “When I was in Sri Lanka last year my girlfriend is terrified of insects and that sort of thing. She got me up and said ‘I can hear something’ in the middle of the night. I said ‘You are just imagining it – there is nothing here.’”

However, 10 minutes later his girlfriend woke him up again – certain there was something in the suite with them. Kiran continued: “About ten minutes later she gets me up again and says ‘I can definitely hear something in the room so I get up and turn the light on.’”

It is at this point Kiran saw the enormous rat that has been with them all along. He said: “And there I see the biggest rat I have ever seen in my life. I’m talking literally the size of a small cat.”

What the mammoth rat was doing was even more “horrendous”. Kiran said the rodent was “nibbling on our clothes inside the room.”

Kiran asked his followers to share their own horror stories in the comments – and some of them were gruesome.

One described the severe embarrassment she experienced at the hands of her kids’ nappy mishap. She said: “We had the entire swimming pool closed off as our new-born baby pooped in his swim nappy and its was explosive upset tummy we was very embarrassed.”

Euan’s story was explosive in a different way. He shared: “At Nantes airport my T-shirt got swabbed for explosives multiple times and came back and cause I was playing with cap guns the day before.”

Meanwhile Katy barely made it out of the airport before her holiday was turned upside down – narrowly escaping death. She said: “Leaving JFK airport for Manhattan, Taxi speeding, 60mph head on collision, Police said we’re lucky not going home in a body bag, taken to Queens Hosp!”

One commenter chimed in regarding Kiran’s tale saying they would have struggled to get back to sleep. They said: “Arrrrrhhh (not even scared of rats normally but I’d have screamed and not slept.”

Holidaymakers at a Benidorm hotel have been filmed participating in a frantic “sunbed dash”, where every available lounger is claimed within a staggering three minutes.

Frequent Spain holidaymakers Mark and Karen Gregory, both 50, typically opt for apartment accommodations that often overlook major hotel pools, giving them a front-row seat to the morning mayhem.

During their May trip, the couple from Swansea, Wales, captured multiple instances of sun-hungry Brits racing to secure the best sunbeds. Mark, who runs an online sales business, recounted: “We saw people queuing from first thing – the queues were horrendous! People were properly running in.

“One hotel we did stay in, the pool opened at 8.30am and by 8.33am every bed had a towel on. I think it happens everywhere – just because hotels don’t have as many beds as they do guests.”

The pair prefer to observe the chaos rather than participate. Mark added: “We don’t partake at all, we just observe. I know it’s a bugbear for a lot of tourists – but we just find it funny.”

Making sure you have a good spot by the pool or beach is serious business. And the stakes are high.

Brits who lay out their towels to reserve a sunbed for hours at a time have been warned they could face hefty fines of up to €250 (approximately £210).

The team at travel insurance comparison site Tiger.co.uk have warned Brits heading on Spain holidays to think twice before laying out a towel on the beach, as it could actually land you facing some hefty extra charges.

They explained: “In popular areas of Spain like Barcelona and Costa Blanca, tourists can now be fined €250 for reserving sunbeds, meaning waking up early to bag a spot for you and the family is no longer allowed. This rule was introduced following numerous complaints about sunbeds being reserved for hours with no one in sight.”

The rules were brought into force last year, in a bid to stop tourists from reserving spots on public beaches with towels and sunbeds, despite then not returning for hours a time – meaning other visitors had to make do with leftover space, causing issues such as fights breaking out, or crowding.

The fines don’t always stop poor behaviour, however.

While having a late-night chinwag on their balcony in Magaluf, Spain, Mandy Boyd spotted some lads she thought were having a cheeky swim in the pool. But upon closer inspection, the 34-year-old realised the young men were trying to nab the best beds at 2am, despite the fact that the pool wasn’t due to open until 9am the next day.

The quartet of girls watched as the lads dragged out their sunloungers to try and secure prime spots. Mandy and her mates patiently waited on the balcony for the perfect moment to dash down and swipe the towels.
