SHOPPERS are racing to a major retailer to pick up dirt-cheap snacks and sweets ahead of the spookiest day of the year.

Sweets lovers are going wild as Halloween treats have hit Home Bargains, with prices starting as low as £0.75.

Marketed under the “Hallow Scream” range, the store released more than 80 products on its website.

The sale has kicked off featuring Zed’s Gummy Corn sweets for £0.75, described as “sweet, creamy and zesty”.

Other sweets encouraging shoppers to get into the spooky spirit for under £1 include crowd pleasers Haribo Bone Shakers and Sour Skeletons, both priced at £0.99.

Shoppers can also get their hands on a bucket of vanilla flavoured Hallow-scream candy floss for £0.99 in three colours – green, orange and purple.

The last item under £1 is the Pimlico Coffin Sour Gummy sweets at £0.99.

The spooky treat is described as “tangy and chewy” and is sold in a variety of flavours.

The prices range from £0.75 all the way up to £10.89 – with Vidal Monster Jellies at the top end of the Halloween sweets sale.

Bargain hunters can find chocolates, sweets, savoury spooky items and everything in between as Halloween approaches.

The sale is available at all stores across the UK and online.

Home Bargains isn’t the only retailer to offer up great deals to customers as both Halloween and Christmas approach.

But the bargain deal has left shoppers divided after the treats landed in stores this week .

Many pointed out it’s nowhere near Halloween yet.

The bargain chain, posted on Facebook: “Our Halloween Peelerz Gummies have dropped – spooky, chewy, and scarily delicious!”

The post sparked reactions as shoppers rushed to share their opinions.

One wrote: “Let’s get summer over first.”

Another commented: “Bit early for Halloween stuff not even September yet.”

A third added: “I like seasonal items coming out early. Good to plan ahead.”

“I’m a bit of a coffee snob and let me tell you, these in the morning, absolutely stunning. It’s about as going to get to grinding the beans yourself on a campsite.”

The travel fan explained how she planned to save on her flight fees by not paying for extra luggage

A travel lover who told passengers not to pay for luggage on flights has shared the £10 hack she recommends to cut costs. Posting on Instagram, Ashleigh Money Saver explained how an under-seat bag from Home Bargains could help Ryanair passengers save on fees.

She recommended the retailer’s £9.99 Salisburys Under Seat Bag, which is available in pink or black. According to the product description, the bag measures approximately 40x20x25cm. As such, passengers could use it as their free small bag when flying with Ryanair, preventing the need to purchase cabin or checked baggage.

The creator used her Home Bargains bag to pack for a four-night city break. Her caption said: “Don’t pay extra for luggage! I got this under-seat cabin bag from @homebargains for just £9.99 and managed to fit SO much in for my 4-night city break! Perfect size for Ryanair flights where every penny counts!”

In the video, she explained how she fit all her essentials in the small bag and demonstrated her packing method. She recommended using packing bags to help compress clothes, and she opted for items she could style multiple ways.

“I pack a capsule collection, so I know I can mix and match everything,” she explained. The savvy shopper added two pairs of shoes, two pairs of shorts, three tops, one shirt, a dress, and a playsuit to her bag.

Instead of a bottle of shampoo and conditioner, she used small packets. She also decanted her aftersun and foundation into smaller bottles.

By the time she finished packing, there was still room for more. “There’s still plenty of room for more items, should you wanna add anything else or buy anything as a token,” the shopper added. She also praised the bag’s design, adding: “I love the colour and it also comes with a handy strap inside.”
