Gogglebox fans all say same thing after Jenny and Lee’s Halloween prank

Gogglebox favourites Jenny and Lee took to Instagram to share a Halloween prank

Gogglebox fans were all quick to say the same thing as Jenny Newby and Lee Riley shared a Halloween prank.

Taking to Instagram on Friday 31 October, Jenny and Lee posted a hilarious video to their account, which boasts an impressive 873K followers, which was also shared on Gogglebox’s page.

In the clip, it sees Jenny with a white blanket over her head pretending to be a ghost while she wears her glasses on top of the costume.

Instructing Jenny in the video, Lee says: “I don’t know… why you’ve got your glasses on that?” to which Jenny replies: “Cos I can’t see without them!”

A giggling Lee then hands Jenny a jar of sweets, insisting: “Here, now there’s the goodies… right? I’ll take the lid off, right, just wait for the kids to come and shout ‘here’s your sweets, trick or treat! Trick or treat!'”

To which the two repeat ‘trick or treat’ and ‘here’s your sweets’ before Lee hilariously declares: “You just keep doing that… I’m off in now. You’ve only got a couple of hours to wait.”

However, Jenny is quick to insist: “I ain’t standing here like this! Where are you?” as she attempts to reach out and go back indoors while still wearing the costume.

As Jenny attempts to find the door, Lee can be heard hysterically laughing in the background as he adds: “Happy Halloween everybody!”

Responding in the comments, the duo’s 873K followers were all quick to say the same thing.

One person said: “You two” with laughing emojis, a different account put: “I love these two, very natural!”, another wrote: “These two” with laughing emojis while a different account added: “Love you two.”

Elsewhere, another fan put: “You two crack me up” with laughing emojis while another account wrote: “Jenny is hilarious without even trying to be funny. Her innocence makes her hilarious”.

A different follower commented: “You two are the best can’t stop laughing at Jenny’s glasses” while another added: “Love’s these 2 so much hilarious.”

Jenny and Lee have been Gogglebox staples since 2014, where they joined during series four.

They weren’t the only Gogglebox duo sharing Halloween videos as Annie and Ronnie also shared a fun video too.

Gogglebox continues on Friday nights at 9pm on Channel 4.

BBC Strictly Come Dancing star says they ‘should bring back the robbed’

A former Strictly Come Dancing contestant has said they want to return to the BBC show

Anita Rani, the Countryfile star and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, has confessed she’ll “never get over” her time on the dance show. The 48 year old telly favourite took part in the BBC competition a decade ago, narrowly missing out on the final by just two weeks.

She was partnered with professional dancer Gleb Savchenko during her stint on the show, which saw The Wanted’s Jay McGuiness and his partner Aliona Vilani take home the coveted Glitterball Trophy.

Soap stars Georgia May Foote of Coronation Street and EastEnders‘ Kellie Bright were the runners-up that year. However, Anita is still convinced she was “robbed” of a place in the final alongside Aliona.

In a chat with The Sun’s TV Magazine, she revealed: “I wish I could do it again – I think they should bring back ‘the robbed’! I’ll never get over it, I should have got to the final.”

During the semi-final, Anita found herself in the dreaded dance-off against BBC presenter Katie Derham. Despite giving it her all, it was Katie and her partner Anton Du Beke who progressed to the grand finale, reports Wales Online.

Anita confessed that she used to turn down reality shows like Strictly, but has recently decided to say “yes” if the “offer arise”. Since then, she’s appeared on popular programmes such as Celebrity Gogglebox, The Chase, and Blankety Blank.

She even hinted that she’d consider joining the cast of Celebrity Traitors if the BBC decides to commission a second series. Meanwhile, Anita and her dad Bal are gearing up for their appearance on Celebrity Race Across the World.

She added: “I used to say no to other reality shows, but now I’m like: ‘If an offer arises, why not?’ The Traitors, I’m A Celeb… But I’ll tell you what me and Dad want to do next – Antiques Road Trip. Let’s put that out there!”.

Before taking part in the travel programme, Anita confessed she wanted her father to enjoy “an adventure”.

She told the BBC: “We get on, he makes me laugh and if I ever want help in making a decision, dad’s the person I call.

“Also, I want dad to have the experience. It’s about my dad having an adventure – he’s never had one before. I think we’re competitive, but I think we’re just really keen to have an amazing experience and give it our best shot.”

The Woman’s Hour presenter reveals she’s currently in a “new era” following the “confirmation” of her fresh romance with partner Alex Lavery.

This comes two years following her separation from spouse Bhupi Rehal. The former pair had been wed for 14 years before they ended their marriage.

Following their break-up, she revealed to Love Sunday Magazine: “‘Life is good, I’m in a good place. I’m focusing on myself and my own wants.

“It’s nice to be able to think about the second phase of my life. I’ve been calling it Chapter Two.”

Gogglebox fans speechless as beloved couple share 40-year-old throwback snap

A Gogglebox couple who have been married for several years have been keeping fans entertained with their hilarious takes on the telly highlights

Gogglebox viewers were left stunned after a married duo posted a nostalgic photograph.

Much-loved South London pair Sue and Steve became part of the enduring Channel 4 programme back in 2019 – and the pair quickly established themselves as audience favourites.

Throughout the years, Steve, a former black cab driver, and Sue, who is semi-retired, have left audiences in fits of laughter with their witty remarks and amusing reactions to television highlights.

Beyond the long-running show, the couple – who have been wed for more than 40 years – are devoted parents to two daughters and proud grandparents to grandson Roman.

Sue and Steve regularly keep their 5,000 Instagram followers informed about their everyday lives. This week, the duo thrilled fans by posting a throwback photograph, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The image, captured during the 1980s, showed Sue and Steve posing for the camera, appearing considerably younger. They wrote alongside the post: “The way we were #somanyyearsago #younglove #the80s #greattimes #dinnerdances #carefree.”

Fans immediately flooded the comments section to praise the “gorgeous” couple. One admirer commented: “You both look amazing then and now. Love you both on Gogglebox.”

Another added on the platform: “Great pic. Steve’s punching here.” A third person remarked: “What a gorgeous picture of you both. Lovely couple.” Sharing similar sentiments, Gogglebox co-star Ellie Warner wrote: “Youngs love dream.”

In a health-related revelation, Sue took a brief hiatus from Gogglebox in 2024, later bravely sharing her battle with Bell’s Palsy, which resulted in temporary facial paralysis.

She candidly discussed the hurdles she faced post-diagnosis, admitting that she had to “relearn” certain fundamental actions. In her words: “One is to speak through the side of my mouth, and the other one is chewing. Chewing takes a long time.”

Steve couldn’t resist a cheeky comment: “I have offered to chew your food for you, but you declined. I’ve gotta say, you haven’t lost the sharp side of your tongue though, have you?”.

Bell’s Palsy is a neurological disorder that causes temporary weakness or lack of movement on one side of the face. The condition can, on rare occasions, spread to both sides of the face, while more typical symptoms include a drooping eyelid or corner of your mouth, dry mouth or drooling, loss of taste and a dry or watering eye.

Gogglebox star shares what fans ‘don’t see on Channel 4 show’

Gogglebox sisters Izzi and Ellie Warner have appeared on the show together since 2015

Gogglebox star Izzi Warner has given fans a rare insight into her life away from the cameras.

The sofa telly critic appears on the Channel 4 programme with her sister Ellie, and have appeared alongside the likes of Pete Sandiford and Jenny Newman since 2015.

Ahead of hitting our screens in tonight’s episode, Izzi took to Instagram, and said, while sharing a video alongside a horse: “Here’s my pet that you don’t see sat on my knee on the sofa on a Friday night.

“Clip clopping our way into the weekend, have a good one, see you at 9 o’clock!”

She captioned it: “Goggleboxing in the wild.”

Izzi later clarified with a picture cuddling her sausage dog: “Just to clarify the pet that doesn’t sit on my knee is Bea… not Toby.”

This comes after the TV star gave fans an insight into her private life earlier this year with a glowing tribute to her new partner.

Last year, Izzi revealed she had been “single for 18 months” and was no longer with her long-term partner Grant, who she shares children Bobby and Bessie with.

She’s since introduced fans to her new partner Toby, posting snaps of them on holiday together and at special events.

In April, she shared an update on her relationship, writing: “The sun shone at Sandhurst on the Sovereigns parade.

“Congratulations to all the officer cadets commissioning today, in particular 16 platoon. Thank you for all who took part in what was spectacular parade.

“Proud of you @tobyj1 .”

She was flooded with support from fans, as one person wrote: “You look lovely and how smart he looks in his uniform. You must be very proud of him.”

Gogglebox star says filming is ‘chaos’ as she’s forced to tell boyfriend to take kids out

Gogglebox star Georgia Bell has opened up about the ‘chaos’ of filming the hit Channel 4 show

Recording Gogglebox proves utterly chaotic for Georgia Bell, with the mum frequently allowing her two youngsters to join her on the settee – and they don’t always play ball.

She told the Daily Star: “It’s good fun having the kids with me. But sometimes it is chaos. I have to tell my boyfriend to take them out.”

Georgia’s co-star and mate Abbie Lynn revealed: “It’s hard for a three-year-old to sit and focus on The Traitors. They’d rather have Bluey on. Mind you, they do love Britain’s Got Talent!”

Despite the difficulties of having children present during recording, Georgia remains delighted she’s included them, as the programme provides her with precious footage she can treasure forever.

She explained: “In years to come, I’ll be like, ‘Sit down boys, this is you two when you were so young’.

“Ralphie was only a few weeks old when he was first on the show and Hugh was a few months old. I just think it will be an amazing thing to be able to look back on when they’re older.”

Georgia and Abbie have featured on the programme for seven years and remain eager to continue, with Abbie declaring: “I will stay on the show until I die.”

Last year Georgia revealed that she had welcomed her second child, sharing a snap of the tiny tot whilst radiating happiness as she provided an update on how he was getting on. In the photograph, the tiny bundle was spotted tucked up in a white baby grow with little white fluffy socks and a sweet little collar round his neck to keep him cosy.

He was pictured having a snooze in a Moses basket wrapped in a soft woollen blanket as he slumbered peacefully after arriving into the world.

Penning the caption, Georgia revealed all the crucial details fans would have been desperate for.

“Ralphie James Newby,” she wrote, “our precious boy – born November 10th at 11:27pm, weighing 7lbs 10oz.

“Settling into the life of a family of 5, we all love you unbelievable amounts little one,” Georgia continued.

Followers were thrilled to discover that the Geordie star had finally welcomed her baby into the world after months of anticipation, but this wasn’t the first time it was suggested she had given birth.

Gogglebox’s Danielle and Daniella share huge show announcement as fans rally round

Gogglebox pals Danielle and Daniella are firm favourites on the Channel 4 show

Gogglebox stars Danielle and Daniella have been supported by fans after the pair issued a major announcement.

The best pals first joined the long-running Channel 4 show back in 2022 – and it’s fair to say it didn’t take them long to become a hit with the programme’s loyal viewers.

Over the years, Danielle and Daniella – who live in Leeds – have had fans in stitches thanks to their hilarious one-liners and comical takes on the telly highlights.

What’s more, the pair have returned for new series too, which kicked off last month, along with co-stars Pete and Sophie Sandiford in Blackpool and Giles Wood and Mary Killen in Wiltshire.

Away from the show, Danielle and Daniella regularly keep their fans updated on their everyday lives on their shared Instagram account. And recently, the pair made a big announcement.

Taking to the platform, Danielle and Daniella shared a slew of snaps from their time on the show, as they celebrated three years of being on Gogglebox. In the caption, they wrote: “Meanwhile in Leeds, Daniella & Danielle are celebrating 3 years of professional sofa surveillance on @c4gogglebox.

Content cannot be displayed without consent

“That’s 3 years of snacks, sass, and pure cut eye, kiss teet and belly laughs. 2 @officiantas later (we’re taking that as Olympic podium wins, medals and ting). They say “time flies when you’re having fun”. Big up @channel4@studiolambert for making us family.”

Fans rushed to the comments to share their delight and send their congratulations to the pair. One person wrote: “3 years already congratulations I couldn’t be any more prouder.”

Another added: “Congratulations to both of you.” The pair’s Gogglebox co-star Ellie Warner also wrote: “Happy 3 years ladies.”

Much to the delight of fans, Danielle and Daniella have returned for the new Gogglebox series – which started earlier this year. However, it is looking a little different, as it was announced in July that beloved stars Roisin Kelly and Joe Kyle would not be returning.

The couple became a part of Gogglebox history as the first Scottish pair to join the programme in February 2022. Announcing their departure from the Channel 4 show, Roisin took to TikTok to share the unfortunate update.

They wrote: “After three and a half years of sitting on the sofa Channel 4 have decided it’s time for Joe and I to stretch our legs and have not asked us back for season 26.”

Gogglebox continues every Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.

Gogglebox star opens up on procedure after eyesight ‘was getting worse’

Gogglebox star Stephen Webb has opened up after feeling “really conscious”

Stephen Webb has avoided cataracts after having vision correction surgery, revealing it has made him feel like a “new person”.

In August, the former Gogglebox star underwent Laser Lens Replacement/Refractive Lens Exchange – a common procedure that involves replacing the natural lens inside the eye with a synthetic implant, starting at £3,497 per eye.

Stephen, 54, felt “conscious” by how “bulgy” his eyes looked in glasses – of which the lenses kept “getting thicker” due to how bad his sight was getting.

The TV personality had a “15-minute per eye” treatment with Sheraz Daya at Centre for Sight’s hospital facility in Oxshott, Surrey, and the result of sharper vision has had a huge impact on Stephen.

Stephen, who appeared on the Channel 4 reality programme with his ex-partner Daniel Lustig until they quit in September 2023, exclusively told BANG Showbiz: “I’ve been wearing glasses since I was, like, 20.

“And every year, I’d go and get my eyes checked, and my prescription was just – the last sort of like 10 years, they’re just getting worse and worse and worse. So my prescription was going up, so that meant my glasses were getting thicker.

“So in the end, the last pair of glasses I bought just made my eyes look like the bottom of two bear glasses – really magnified.

“And I was really conscious about it – especially when people would look at you from side on, it would kind of make your eyes look really bulgy.

“So that was one of the reasons, pure vanity. I’m just sick of wearing [glasses]. They’re so expensive – every year I’d have to pay at least £6/700 for a pair of glasses.

“I’ve got really nice frames, they were always between 2 and 300 quid, the lenses are [£]400, and I was just finding that they just weren’t lasting, they were scratching a lot quickly.

“And I just thought, ‘I’m 54, I’m never going to get cataracts now.’ So I guess it was just preventative as well from stopping [my eyes] from getting even worse.”

Asked if he feels like a new person since his Laser Lens Replacement/Refractive Lens Exchange, Stephen continued: “Yeah, I do. Just because I’m really active, I do a lot of running, I horse ride, and wearing glasses is just a hindrance.

“When you’re running, they steam up; you can’t see through them. And it’s the same horse riding, I have to wear my helmet, and [glasses] just always got in the way.

“But glasses are always an issue. So, it’s just nice to be free of them.”

Now that he no longer wears glasses, Stephen revealed that people are not recognising him as much.

Speaking about his recent trip to Benidorm, Spain, the Celebs Go Dating star said: “People who tend to go to Benidorm are definitely my demographic – that’s my core fan base!

“And, yeah, it was just so lovely to go away for – I was only there four days to get some sun and not get recognised … it was just nice to have a break from that.”

However, Stephen’s distinctive voice is his “second” giveaway, as he quipped: “My big giveaway was my glasses. But my second giveaway is my voice.

“So if I speak too loudly, I’d see a few people look, they recognise – and people that approach me go, ‘I heard the voice.’ So I still had to [talk] quiet.”

Stephen was treated by Mr. Sheraz Daya at the Centre for Sight, the UK’s leading, trusted centre of excellence for advanced eye care, innovation and life-changing results. For more information, visit centreforsight.com.

Fans flooded the comments gushing over her transformation, with one saying: “You look amazing.”

This comes after Scarlett revealed she finally feels “happier” than ever after years of yo-yo dieting, brutal bootcamps and body battles.

She admitted she once dropped to a size 8 after punishing herself with 700-calorie days and a gruelling Swiss bootcamp involving six hours of exercise – all in a bid to stay slim after releasing her controversial fitness DVD in 2016.

But despite shedding three stone, Scarlett confessed she was still miserable and wracked with body image issues.

“Would you ever say horrible things to a six-year-old?” she said. “Of course not. So don’t say it to yourself either.”

Now proudly flying the flag as a plus-size TV presenter, Scarlett says she’s thrilled kids today get to see more diverse faces and body types on screen.

Since bursting onto Gogglebox in 2014 aged just 23, Scarlett has carved out a successful career in telly.

One viewer wrote: “Where’s Amira and Amani this week?”

A second said: “Missing Amira & Amani this week,” while another said: “I hope Amira & Amani haven’t left the show, they’re the best.”

Another added: “So two of the best people in the cast of Gogglebox are missing.”

But that wasn’t the only concern that Gogglebox fans had tonight.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that five new families had joined this series.

These include friends Jake and Calum from Glasgow, the Gordon family (Andre, Sarah, and Chee) from Surrey, married couple Andrew and Alfie from The Cotswolds, mother and daughter-in-law Sara and Lara from Yorkshire, and sisters Rosie and Susie from Edinburgh.

But some viewers have struggled to “warm” to the newbies and begged for Scottish couple Roisin and Joe to return after they were axed in July.

This viewer wrote: “Gogglebox why did you feel the need to change things up on a highly popular programme? I just don’t get why commissioners and production companies feel the need to change a winning recipe. The new ingredients haven’t enhanced the dish.”

A second posted: “Gogglebox too many posh families now no fun at all.”

A third said: “I’ve still not warmed to any of the new goggleboxers,” while another added: “Gogglebox has gone all posh and less diverse.”

Roisin and Joe joined Gogglebox in 2022, but announced they were leaving the show in the summer.

Taking to social media, Roisin wrote: “After three and a half years of sitting on the sofa Channel 4 have decided it’s time for Joe and I to stretch our legs and have not asked us back for season 26.

“Therefore we are leaving the Gogglebox family.

“We couldn’t be more grateful to Studio Lambert for the opportunity, the experience has actually been so mad and we will miss watching TV with you all on Friday nights!”

She added: “It’s been an honour to represent Scotland as some of the first Scottish people on the show and prove we don’t actually need subtitles.”

Roisin and boyfriend Joe, who were the first Scots to appear on the much-loved hit for over six years, added: “We have made friends for life and after filming every week for years you have become like our family!

“We could not have asked for better people to work with and we will miss you immensely.

“It for sure has been a once in a lifetime opportunity. Time to watch TV in silence for a bit and put down the popcorn.”

A spokesperson for Channel 4 said: “We thank Joe and Roisin for their contributions to Gogglebox over the years, and wish them all the best for the future.”

Gogglebox star Giles Woods opens up on death as he makes makes unusual request

Channel 4 viewers have seen husband and wife duo Giles Wood and Mary Killen on Gogglebox since 2015.

On Friday night, Channel 4 viewers tuned in for a brand new episode of Gogglebox, which opened with husband and wife duo Giles Wood and Mary Killen.

The pair, who have been part of the programme since 2015, have become firm fan-favourites on the series for their hilarious dynamic and witty remarks.

Recently, Giles left people in disbelief after sharing a throwback photo of himself online.

However, during the most recent episode, he made an unusual demand when it came to his funeral plans.

He told his wife: “By the way, if I do die, Mary, I want to insist on something. I don’t want Frank Sinatra’s song ‘I did it my way’.”

She replied: “You didn’t do it at all, let alone doing it your way!” The Channel 4 star also told his wife he didn’t want the song Bohemian Rhapsody played.

Mary asked: “No? What do you want?” He commented: “I Wish it Could be Christmas Everyday,=.”

Laughing at his remark, she said: “You wouldn’t want that! That would be so annoying.” He added: “Annoying right until the last minute!”

It wasn’t long before people commented on his hilarious request, with one person on X saying: “Giles wanting, ‘I wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday’ as his funeral song is just the most Giles thing ever. I love it, but pray it doesn’t come for many, many more years to come.”

Although Mary and Giles have been regulars on the series for 10 years, this series welcomed a plethora of fresh faces, including mother and daughter-in-law Sara and Lara, mates Jake and Calum, and family Andre, Sarah and daughter Chee.

This comes as the show bid farewell to Scottish couple Roisin and Joe, who first appeared on Gogglebox in 2022. Earlier this year, they announced they won’t be in the new series as they weren’t asked to return.

In a statement at the time, they wrote: “After three and a half years of sitting on the sofa Channel 4 have decided it’s time for Joe and I to stretch out legs and have not asked us back for season 26.

“Therefore we are leaving the Gogglebox family. We couldn’t be more grateful to Studio Lambert for the opportunity, the experience has actually been so mad and we will miss watching TV with you all on Friday nights!

Gogglebox Siddiqui family reveal rarely-seen member and fans all say same thing

The beloved Gogglebox family have been on the show since the very first series – but there’s one member who doesn’t often feature

Gogglebox fans have been thrilled after a seldom-seen member of the Siddiqui household made a surprise appearance in a social media clip.

The cherished family became part of the inaugural series of the Channel 4 programme back in 2013, featuring Baasit alongside his two siblings, Umar and Raza, plus their dad Sid. However, mum Nasreen has remained absent from the show.

It’s safe to say the Derby-based Siddiqui clan quickly established themselves as viewer favourites. Throughout the years, the family have left audiences in hysterics with their witty remarks and amusing reactions to television moments.

Recently, Sid posted a video on the family’s Instagram account. Yet it was an infrequently-spotted member appearing with Sid that sparked considerable discussion, reports the Manchester Evening News.

During the footage, Sid encouraged supporters to watch the fresh Gogglebox instalment and was joined by the household’s adored feline Rocky. He informed watchers: “You’ll see me and him [the cat].”

Within the comments area, supporters were effusive about Rocky’s cameo. One individual commented: “Love you and your family and Rocky!” Someone else contributed: “Aw Rocky.” A third person remarked: “Love Rocky and your family.”

Meanwhile in other Gogglebox developments, Baasit recently marked his birthday, prompting his spouse Mel to post a touching tribute. Mel, who is mother to Baasit’s two youngsters, used Instagram to publish a moving birthday message for her partner.

She wrote: “Happy birthday @baasit_siddiqui, Wishing you the most wonderful birthday, we all love you to the moon and back and are so proud of everything you do, Love you always xxx.”

She posted a photograph of him sporting a ‘Best. Daddy. Ever’ t-shirt, alongside some sweet family photographs.

Fans flocked to send their birthday wishes to Baasit, including fellow Gogglebox personality Tristan Daine Plummer, who features on Gogglebox alongside his brothers.

“Happy birthday poppet xxx all the way from Hilton,” one wrote, as another said: “Have a fantastic day.” A third echoed: “Happy birthday mate, hope you have a great day!”

Gogglebox legends Dave and Shirley defended after being trolled with cruel comments

Gogglebox stars Dave and Shirley Griffiths have been married for 49 years and have been a part of the Channel 4 show since 2015 – but they were cruelly trolled online

Gogglebox viewers have come together to defend cherished stars Dave and Shirley Griffiths after nasty internet bullies took aim at them online.

The Welsh duo initially appeared on the Channel 4 programme back in 2015 – and it wasn’t long before they captured viewers’ hearts.

Throughout the years, Dave and Shirley – who have been wed for 49 years and are mum and dad to two youngsters – have left audiences in hysterics with their side-splitting quips and observations about the newest television offerings.

Beyond the programme, Dave and Shirley consistently update their supporters via their Instagram account – which boasts a remarkable 208k followers.

On Friday (September 19) the couple posted on the social media site and revealed a sweet snapshot of themselves whilst on their overseas getaway, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Dave and Shirley displayed their affection in the photograph as they grinned towards the lens. They wrote alongside the image “Happy #gogglebox Friday everyone #fresheveryfriday don’t forget tonight #channel4 9pm drinks and snacks out it’s gogglebox time.”

Nevertheless, whilst numerous Dave and Shirley admirers were thrilled by their post, the duo faced a barrage of vicious remarks from online tormentors.

Racing to the couple’s defence, one supporter penned: “These are funny people on Gogglebox but why do people have to make comments about her face we are all getting older and you can’t do much if you’re prone to wrinkles give her a break.”

The backing wasn’t missed by Dave and Shirley who ‘liked’ the message. Another devotee also commented: “People can be so mean.”

To fans’ absolute joy, Dave and Shirley have made their comeback for the fresh Gogglebox series – which kicked off earlier this year. Nevertheless, things are looking rather different, as it was confirmed in July that cherished stars Roisin Kelly and Joe Kyle wouldn’t be making a return.

The pair etched their names into Gogglebox folklore as the inaugural Scottish duo to join the programme back in February 2022.

Breaking the news of their exit from the Channel 4 programme, Roisin turned to TikTok to deliver the disappointing news, penning: “After three and a half years of sitting on the sofa channel 4 have decided it’s time for Joe and I to stretch our legs and have not asked us back for season 26.”

Gogglebox continues every Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.

Gogglebox fans all say the same thing minutes before Channel 4 show ends

Channel 4 viewers were left furious at the end of the latest episode of Gogglebox

Furious Gogglebox viewers have vowed to boycott the series after watching tonight’s episode (Friday 19 September).

The telly critics treated fans to their reactions to a disturbing Netflix documentary on catfishing and an emotional moment from Davina McCall’s Long Lost Family.

However, as the conversation turned to current affairs at the end of the episode, viewers were left less than impressed.

The likes of sisters Ellie and Izzi, best friends Jenny and Lee, and pals Abbie and Georgia tuned in to watch news coverage of Tommy Robinson‘s rally last weekend.

Several of them were disgruntled to see Elon Musk make an appearance, while others shared their views on the march.

“When will people work out that immigrants aren’t the problem?” Gogglebox star Helena asked, adding: “My brain can’t understand that level of tribalism.”

“I don’t think you were brought up like that, anyway,” her mum replied, as Helena agreed and laughed: “No, you’ve never said ‘Britain are for the British’ over dinner to me, I’ve noticed that.”

Meanwhile, new couple Andrew and Alfie said: “For f**ks sake,” saying the influence Tommy Robinson has is “frightening”.

“I don’t think this has United the Nation, this is thuggery,” Lee said.

Ellie and Izzi added that they were “genuinely scared” of the people attending the marches, with Ellie saying: “I feel like they’re more likely to be violent towards me as an individual and a woman as a migrant is.”

Meanwhile, other Gogglebox stars took a different view, with Annie telling husband Ronnie: “The people I know who went to it are definitely not far-right fascists.”

As the show ended, Tremaine told his brother Twaine and Tristan: “When I was young, that flag said, ‘Don’t come in this pub’, that flag said, ‘Don’t come down this road’, that flag says, ‘I don’t like you’. I grew up in a time when it was used for that and now it’s being used for that again.”

One person wrote on X: “#Gogglebox turned from entertainment to political in tonight’s show. Switched off, not sure I’ll bother in future.”

Another fumed: “Spent years watching Gogglebox but tonight was the last night after the ‘coverage’ of the @TRobinsonNewEra event on Saturday. Woke propaganda at its best. Did they get extra money for supporting the far far far left?”

Someone else said: “What have the t**ts at @Channel4 done to #gogglebox ! Use to be top television but now unfortunately bullshit left propaganda! Such a shame!”

“Love #Gogglebox hate when the narrative has to be sold,” another wrote.

Someone else seethed: “Should be goggle lefts! extreme bias in force, pathetic to watch, let people have their own opinions not what’s popular among brainwashed sheep. PS I don’t like either side.”

One viewer claimed: “#Gogglebox is a left wing propaganda tool but tonight they really went to a new level with their finishing piece. A smear on the patriots and people who care about their nation marching at the #UniteTheKingdom rally. Completely biased production. The left are losing.”

“Won’t be watching anymore,” one wrote, though someone took a different view, writing: “Another great episode, it gets better every week.”

Another added: “The end of #gogglebox hit hard tonight. Using a flag to gesture that people from other cultures are not welcome. Just wrong. It’s regression.”

Gogglebox sparks fury as fans issue same demand minutes into show

On Friday night, Channel 4 viewers tuned in for a brand new instalment of the beloved show, Gogglebox

It looks as though Channel 4 viewers were less than impressed with the latest episode of Gogglebox as more new faces were introduced to the show.

Last week saw the introduction of several newcomers, including Mother and daughter-in-law Sara and Lara, friends Jake and Calum and family Andre, Sarah and daughter Chee, following one recently axed star breaking their silence on being dropped.

However, during the latest episode, another new duo made their debut on the popular show, sisters Rosie and Susie.

Although it looks as though fans of the long-running programme haven’t been blown away with the new additions, with some believing they’re not being genuine.

Taking to X, one person said: “Why so much air time for those Scottish sisters, left one is totally over acting and playing to the camera. So fake, while point is to be normal and react to what your watching. Too much.”

Someone else added: “There is a lot of desperate over acting from the new peeps, making it less authentic. If it wasn’t broken, why ‘fix’ it?”

While a third demanded: “Stop all this performative nonsense and be authentic #Gogglebox”

In agreement, someone else said: “No offence but these new Goggleboxers are not natural they know what #gogglebox fans like and their trying too hard. Not naturally funny [sic] forced.”

Gogglebox star breaks silence on ‘brutal axe’ from show as fans slam ‘insane’ decision

Former Gogglebox star Roisin Kelly has addressed the truth about her and Joe Kelly’s ‘brutal axe’ from the Channel 4 show in a new TikTok video which she posted online

Scottish Gogglebox favourite Roisin Kelly has lifted the lid on the reality behind her and Joe’s shocking departure from the Channel 4 programme, which made its return this weekend for series 26 without the beloved duo.

In a candid TikTok ‘get ready with me’ clip, the Glasgow-born telly personality addressed their sudden exit after three and a half years, revealing the genuine circumstances surrounding their departure.

Roisin began the video by explaining: “Obviously Gogglebox was back on last night and we seen a lot of comments saying ‘where are Joe and Roisin’. We were ‘brutally axed’.

“We weren’t asked back to do series 26. They had just said they wanted to take the show in another direction, away from our house. There’s not really any lore or any stories to it.”

The Scottish pair’s departure left Gogglebox enthusiasts stunned, with many branding the decision completely ‘insane’.

Nevertheless, the duo have maintained a remarkably upbeat attitude about the circumstances, with Roisin recently updating her Instagram biography to read ‘brutally axed from Gogglebox’, reports the Daily Record.

The couple are now being succeeded by two fresh Scottish partnerships – sisters Suzie, 70, and Rosie, 68 from Edinburgh, alongside best pals Callum, 31, and Jake, 27, from Glasgow.

They feature amongst five new households joining the Channel 4 programme.

Roisin emphasised there’s no animosity between herself and Joe and the production team, stating: “We were good friends with all the producers and that’s the thing that’s sad. Firstly, you need to get over the ego part of like being booted off.

“I don’t know who made the decision. I think it was Channel 4’s decision but you don’t know who it was in Channel 4, you don’t know why, you don’t know the inner workings so there’s no point trying to like guess and go over and over it cos you’ll never know.

“We had an amazing time on the show. You need to be grateful for the opportunity. Not people can say they got to be on Gogglebox and watch TV for money.”

When quizzed about whether they might return to Gogglebox, Roisin declared: “I mean I don’t think that’s an option.

“I get lots of questions about Gogglebox with people recently asking me if I could put in a good word for them. “.

She cheekily remarked: “Not really no, if you find out who to ask, put in a good word for me as well. Free Joe and Roisin – bring us back.”

Nevertheless, she disclosed there’s another programme that she and Joe have set their sights on, revealing: “If anyone knows how to get us on Race Across the World, maybe we’ll do that instead.”

Roisin continued: “there are a few articles saying we’re going into the jungle on I’m a Celebrity but I feel like sitting on your arse for three years watching TV in our case probably doesn’t qualify you for I’m A celeb but it’s nice to be included in the rumours.”

The popular Scottish pair announced their departure from the forthcoming series of the Channel 4 show at the end of July, releasing a joint statement to confirm their exit.

“It’s been an honour to represent Scotland as some of the first Scottish people on the show and prove we don’t actually need subtitles.

Gogglebox favourites reveal major milestone in relationship – after being brutally axed from show

Gogglebox favourites Roisin Kelly and Joe Kyle have revealed a major milestone in their relationship – just months after being axed from the Channel 4 show.

The couple announced they’re moving out of their flat in Glasgow as Roisin, 26, took to Instagram to share a heartfelt reel.

In the short clip, significant moments flashed up on-screen including when the pair first moved into the flat as well as decorating a Christmas tree.

This was followed by shots of the empty flat after they moved all of their belongings out of the home they once shared.

A background voice is heard saying: “It was official, a new season had begun. After all, seasons change, so do cities, people come into your life and people go but it’s comforting to know the ones you love are always in your heart and if you’re very lucky, a plane ride away.”

She captioned the post: “Oh I will miss you flat #movingout.”

The move comes after Roisin and Joe, 28, were sensationally dumped from the iconic show earlier this year.

In July, the two took to social media to share: “After three and a half years of sitting on the sofa channel 4 have decided it’s time for Joe and I to stretch our legs and have not asked us back for season 26. Therefore, we are leaving the Gogglebox family.

“We couldn’t be more grateful to Studio Lambert for the opportunity, the experience has actually been so mad and we will miss watching TV with you all on Friday nights!”

They added: “It’s been an honour to represent Scotland as some of the first Scottish people on the show and prove we don’t actually need subtitles.”

“We have made friends for life and after filming every week for years you have become like our family!

“We could not have asked for better people to work with and we will miss you immensely. It for sure has been a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Gogglebox favourites reveal major milestone in relationship – after being brutally axed from show

The pair, who were involved in a terrifying accident, wrapped with the words: “Time to watch TV in silence for a bit and put down the popcorn.”

A spokesperson for Channel 4 said at the time: “We thank Joe and Roisin for their contributions to Gogglebox over the years, and wish them all the best for the future.”

The new series of Gogglebox kicked off last night but fans were left fuming after Roisin and Joe weren’t included in the line-up.

Taking to X, one raged: “What’s happened to Joe and Roisin, they were the funniest ffs.”

Another added: “Can’t believe they got rid of Roisin and Joe, some of the boring b******s on this they could of p***ed off.”

A third tweeted: “I’m missing Roisin and Joe already.”

Meanwhile a fourth begged: “Can someone explain why have we replaced the lovely Scottish couple with pretentious posh p****s who aren’t even funny. just noo f*** off!!”

Instead, the pair were replaced by a whopping five new families in the biggest cast shake-up in years.

Sisters from Edinburgh, a family from Surrey, friends from Glasgow, a married couple from the Cotswolds, and a mother and daughter-in-law from Yorkshire all joined the show in last night’s instalment.
