What it’s REALLY like dating bombshell Sydney Sweeney

IT CAN’T be easy dating red-hot Sydney Sweeney – just ask her new boyfriend Scooter Braun.

Everyone wants a piece of Sydney right now, and The Sun has bombshell insider knowledge that reveals the truth about the couple’s struggles as countless men compete for her attention.

A-list fame comes with complications – particularly for Scooter, 44, who sources say is struggling to adjust and gets nervous when 28-year-old Sydney takes “me time”.

Premier League footballers have also been “constantly” sliding into her DMs, with some tracking down her private number, sources say.

Scooter finds the persistence “incredibly disrespectful,” even though Sydney blocks and ignores them, according to the insiders.

The Hollywood couple went public last August, shortly after she confirmed her split from longtime partner Jonathan Davino.

They got engaged in 2022, but announced last March that they were now spending time apart.

Sydney, however, didn’t waste any time moving on, with her and new boy Scooter not shy about their blossoming love.

They have been spotted kissing in Los Angeles following the premiere of her new film, and later spent Thanksgiving together at Sydney’s Florida Keys home.

Behind the scenes, however, tensions are beginning to boil.

Insiders claim Scooter was left “furious and disrespected” late last year after Sydney met Davino in LA – a situation that sources say crossed a line for the 44-year-old music executive.

Despite that, friends insist the relationship remains serious.

One well-placed source says the friction has been sparked by differing expectations, especially in the eyes of “old school” Scooter.

“Sydney has always been fiercely independent,” the insider explains. “She values time alone — whether that’s travelling by herself, going out with girlfriends, or just switching off. Scooter prefers togetherness, and he’s still adjusting to that.”

Recent Instagram posts showing Sydney enjoying a dreamy solo trip to snowy Lapland only fuelled speculation. She appeared carefree, glowing and having the time of her life — though it remains unclear whether Scooter joined her.

FRIENDS ARE WORRIED

Friends have also raised concerns about the couple’s 16-year age gap.

While Sydney has dated older men before — Davino is 41 — some social media barbs have struck a nerve with Scooter.

It’s not hard to find negative comments about the pair online.

Everything from “Scooter is stalking out his next payday” to “he is way too old for her” have flooded the comment sections about their relationship.

Some hit harder than others.

“What a step down,” one online critic snapped. “But he does have contacts and is super rich so I see what she is doing here.”

Another blasted the pairing was “gross” and that Scooter “isn’t good enough and definitely not good enough looking.”

The music executive was also slammed as a “red flag” and ridiculed as a “limp piece of spaghetti”.

The swathes of negativity have been hard to handle for the New Yorker.

“He struggles with the mockery,” the source says. “He’s still learning that she doesn’t need permission or reassurance to live her life.”

Those sensitivities may be shaped by Scooter’s bruising past.

His very public feud with Taylor Swift in 2019, sparked by the sale of her masters, left his reputation in tatters and it may never recover.

Scooter wants to build a long-term future with her.

Sydney Sweeney insider on her new flame

High-profile clients drifted away, his marriage ended, and Scooter later admitted the episode took a severe toll on his mental health.

He has spoken openly recently about having suicidal tendencies.

In recent years, however, he has consciously stepped back from the industry spotlight.

Scooter has focused on charity work and personal growth — and hoping to build a life with Sydney.

After a run of box-office disappointments, Sydney appears to have struck gold with thriller The Housemaid.

Made for around £25 million, the film has already grossed £100 million worldwide and earned strong reviews.

Indeed, it’s been such a success that there are already plans in the works for a blockbuster sequel.

With an estimated net worth north of £30 million, Sydney is officially Hollywood’s hottest property.

Not bad for a girl whose cash-strapped family were forced to leave the humble surroundings of Spokane, Washington and were forced into bankruptcy while attempting to turn her into a star.

Now, however, the spotlight is shining brighter than ever on Tinseltown’s new golden girl never stops.

Neither does the rush for her affections.

Sydney told The Sun last year that her DMs are “not a safe space,” and the messages keep coming.

Premier League stars from England’s top clubs have been bombarding Sydney with messages – but she never replies, insiders say.

“She’s completely transparent,” one source adds. “She shows him everything to be honest. Seeing how relentless some of these men are can upset him — but she always reassures him.”

The jealousy doesn’t bother her though.

“She likes seeing him get a little jealous,” the insider says. “To her, it shows he cares and is fully invested.”

Scooter knows he’s dating a global star, and a modern sex symbol.

He is quickly finding out loving Sydney doesn’t just mean trusting her — it means learning to share her with the world.

“Scooter wants to build a long-term future with her,” concluded the source.

Only time will tell if his dream becomes a reality.

Massive sum Ibiza Final Boss made in just six weeks after going viral as he plans music festival and own nightclub

IBIZA Final Boss Jack Kay is a millionaire after he became a sudden viral international superstar and he is now planning his own festival.

The former Newcastle construction worker became an internet sensation after footage of him dancing on the party island, sporting a chunky gold chain, designer sunglasses, a black vest, and his distinctive, sharp bowl haircut went viral.

Dad-of-one Jack later came forward to tell the world: “I am the Ibiza Final Boss. Jack Kay. Get to know.”

Jack missed out on trademarking his brand Ibiza Final Boss after someone grabbed the name while he was raking in the cash last summer.

But he revealed how he’d earned £800,000 in just six weeks after the footage went global and since then, he’s added another £200,000 to his ever-expanding bank balance.

He confessed in a hastily made documentary about his rise to fame just how much cash he’d made in the summer.

Identity Revealed?

Who is Mr Fantasy and is the TikTok musician actually actor KJ Apa?

Jack admitted: “I’m trying to keep myself on a level head with it because I’ve got a little daughter back home

“I had nothing growing up so to give her the life when she’s older, she can have anything she wants, is just unbelievable.”

In one scene, a friend asked him directly, “What’s the dough like?”, leading the star to hint at the substantial amount of money he had made in the six weeks since his viral moment.

He told his friend to “pick a number”, before revealing it’s a “little tidge more” than £800,000.

And since then he’s been enjoying the fruits of his celebrity.

Jack now drives a £55,000 Range Rover SVR with the private plate BOSS BZA after inking a string of money-spinning deals.

He secured a five-figure contract with fashion chain Boohoo Man.

Following his overnight fame, he went on a club appearance tour, returning to Ibiza by private jet and earning £60,000 a day.

He returned to Wayne Lineker’s O Beach Club, the venue where the original video was filmed, to wow fans.

Lionheart Entertainment, a Scottish nightclub events promotions firm booked Jack for a string of events in the UK, and he teamed up with London musician Carnao Beats and they released a techno tune on Spotify.

He also appeared on stage at rave festival Creamfields in Cheshire.

Jack also commands £2,000 a post plugging goods and services on Instagram.

He sells his own merchandise, with the person who recorded the original video also profiting from selling their own line of Ibiza Final Boss gear.

Jack has also appeared in various media, including the Channel 4 documentary that tracked his rise.

He has also cashed in with numerous freebies, including a yacht trip valued at over £10,000.

And he has just filed documents with the UK’s Intellectual Property Office to trademark the slogan Be Your Own under the “presentation of music concerts; music festival services”.

The application also gives him the scope to open his nightclub and to use the name exclusively as a recording artist, DJ, and producer.

His papers were filed just days ago and will stay in place for 10 years once passed to protect Jack from bootleggers who have already begun to prey on his name.

Liam Gallagher heading back to studio with legendary guitar star for new album just weeks after end of Oasis reunion

LIAM GALLAGHER isn’t planning on putting his feet up for long after the biblical success of Oasis’s reunion tour.

I’m told that the motor-mouthed rocker has been offered the chance to make a second record with Stone Roses guitarist John Squire.

The Manchester greats, who were at the funeral of Stone Roses bass player Mani last month, dropped their first collaborative album in March 2024.

They toured with a new band that included Joey Waronker, who ended up on drums for the Oasis reunion tour.

Insiders revealed the pals had discussed the possibility of working on a new record together if Liam could make his schedule align with John’s.

My music mole said: “Liam and John are close friends and speak regularly.

ON AGAIN?

Liam and Noel Gallagher return to London after huge tour amid 2026 rumours

“John has told Liam that he has a batch of songs ready to record and that he’d love to have him on board.

“Although Oasis is Liam’s priority, he doesn’t want to take a year off making music.

“Since he went solo in 2017, he has released music almost every year. Liam was proud of what he and John created in the studio and is up for a second record if he can find the time to make it work.”

Their self-titled debut album was entirely penned by John, who also played on the Stone Roses’ 1994 record Second Coming.

Despite writing songs in Oasis and as a solo artist, Liam has always maintained he is content to be a singer rather than a songwriter.

He said: “I never tried to write songs to compete with big brother or to get publishing rights.

“Sometimes, you play the guitar at home and something happens.

“You write a little song and that’s it, but I’ve never been into it. I’m not a songwriter.

“I prefer singing songs. I don’t care if I never write another song again, as long as I can sing it that’s all that matters.”

Fans are now eagerly awaiting news of Liam and Noel’s plans for the coming months.

My phone is still blowing up weekly with gossip about what’s coming next, including potential shows at the Etihad in Manchester and massive concerts at Knebworth.

There is also Steven Knight’s amazing film about Noel and Liam’s reunion, which I hope will see the light of day later this year.

Steven and his team filmed the brothers non-stop in rehearsals and on the road.

For us fans, it will be a must-watch for 2026.

BIFFY YOUNG BOOST

AFTER three decades together, Biffy Clyro’s fanbase is bigger than ever among young people.

Frontman Simon Neil said in an exclusive interview: “It’s really encouraging because for a few years – I guess the last ten – guitar music hasn’t seemed as relevant or mainstream.

“But seeing these 15 and 16-year-olds starting bands, picking up instruments and the amount of talent out there, that’s what blows us away.

“We learnt how to play music together and so many of these younger folk are so natural with it, so we feel really privileged to still be in this world and to see so much inspiring stuff coming through.”

They are fans of emerging bands including Gene Gallagher’s gritty group, called Villanelle.

Simon said: “I was speaking to Villanelle the other week and they really love their rock music.

“It was nice to chat to them and realise how much they get it. They are really coming from that American, almost grungy, kind of stuff. So I said I might go and write a tune with them.

“If anyone from a younger generation wants to work, it’s really nice to.

“There’s just so much talent.

“We can learn so much from working with someone younger, and hopefully they learn a little something from working with us.”

Miley looked chic in a black suit and open shirt as she appeared at the Palm Springs Film Festival over the weekend, along with Paul Mescal and Kate Hudson and said of the plans: “We’re working hard on them.”
She added: “Many new things are coming.

“The next few months will be focused on Avatar until the end of March, when we’ll shift our focus to Hannah Montana.”

On the role that made her the youngest person to be recognised as a Disney Legend in 2024, Miley said: “A lot of my time right now is being spent on how I can honour Hannah.

“Without Hannah, there wouldn’t be this, this me. It’s still crazy to think I started as a character I thought was going to be impossible to shed.”

PISTOLS HOLOGRAM IS VICIOUS FOR GLEN

SEX PISTOLS rocker Glen Matlock doesn’t want the band to ever become holograms – because he’d be ditched for Sid Vicious.

Glen was the original bass player in the punk group and co-wrote ten of the 12 songs on the band’s only official album, Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols.

But he left the band in 1977 to be replaced by Sid. Glen’s bandmate Steve Jones is keen to see the Pistols become holograms, just like the Abba Voyage show, and has told Glen that any AI version would see Sid back in the band.

Glen said: “I’ve had the discussion with Steve and he thinks it’s a good idea.

“And I said, ‘The thing is, Steve, you’ll probably do Sid, won’t you?’. And he said, ‘Well, yeah, that’s true’.”

Adele famously paused one of her shows at the same venue after staff repeatedly told one fan to sit down during her concert.

It seems J-Lo does not want a repeat, with signs reading: “Please be advised that our guests are permitted and encouraged to stand during the performance.”

New stats from Pollstar have revealed Coldplay, along with U2, The Rolling Stones, Ed Sheeran and Sir Elton John, have all hit the billion quid mark since 2000 thanks to tours alone.

Taylor Swift is the biggest-ever earner, making £2.33billion from her 575 shows.

Jeff Kelly, from US entertainment firm PRrppd, told me: “Coldplay’s success is astonishing.

“They have barely stopped working over the last 25 years and have grown every year in their appeal to audiences.

“For them to generate almost two billion pounds speaks volumes, especially given that their average ticket price is so reasonable.

“The British Isles is incredibly well represented in that top ten chart, with half the spots.

“The last quarter of a century shows that Brits still serve up incredibly powerful music and connect to fans who want to see them live.”

New twist in Liam Gallagher love child battle as Oasis star faces court order to reveal tour earnings

OASIS star Liam Gallagher is facing a new court order to reveal how much money he has earned from the band’s hugely successful reunion tour, The Sun on Sunday can reveal.

A court hearing is set to be held in New York this month after the mother of the singer’s love child filed a fresh legal motion to access his latest finances.

Liza Ghorbani is trying to obtain the singer’s bank records, tax returns and credit card statements to show how much he is now worth, say experts.

It will be the first time the band’s tour finances — which are estimated to be more than £350million — face being exposed to public scrutiny.

Ms Ghorbani wants to use the fresh information to prove he should stump up the £500,000 a year she’s claiming for the care of their daughter Gemma, 12, who was born in 2013 after an affair.

Liam, 53, and his brother Noel, 58, are expected to have raked in millions of pounds for last year’s sell-out Oasis Live ’25 reunion world tour.

LAST FAREWELL

Liam Gallagher carries Gary Mounfield’s coffin as Beckham leads mourners

The band, whose 1994 debut album Definitely Maybe has sold 15million copies worldwide, is estimated to have made £303million from ticket sales alone — with another £40million from sponsorship deals and merchandise.

More cash to come

Last week The Sun on Sunday told how Liam treated himself after the tour, splashing out on Arsenal star Tony Adams’s £4.25million Cotswolds mansion.

And there could be more cash to come as he has been teasing fans about new tour dates in the next couple of years.

It is understood that Ms Ghorbani, 51, is trying to access details on all of their tour-related income.

We can reveal that lawyers for the US music journalist have filed an application for an Order to Show Cause in New York’s Supreme Court.

The judge hearing their case, Mr Jeffrey Pearlman, has been asked to consider a motion to compel both sides to answer further questions and provide more information to help him make a decision.

He has set a date later this month for a fresh court hearing.

Ms Ghorbani has filed various documents into the court, including 15 exhibits setting out her specific requests on what she wants from Liam’s lawyers.

Details of her exact demands have not been disclosed.

But top New York family lawyer Morgan Mazer said Liam will have to hand over the documents relating to tour earnings during a process in the case called discovery.

Ms Mazer said: “Ms Ghorbani can get access to the tour merchandise sales, if it’s a side thing Mr Gallagher is earning money from.

He has been more than generous over the years and is standing firm with his legal team

“Ms Ghorbani will want to look at any employment and income, any perks that Mr Gallagher has.

“Credit card statements are relevant because some people don’t always show all their income on their tax returns.

“With the credit card statements you can glean what somebody is making based on their lifestyle. The powers to determine what you should pay in child support are broad.”

Yesterday a source close to the singer told The Sun on Sunday: “Liam has been focused on enjoying Christmas with his family and not letting this court case get to him.

“He has been more than generous over the years and is standing firm with his legal team.”

In March we revealed Ms Ghorbani had filed a lawsuit demanding more money despite the case being settled in 2015.

The rocker responded by slamming her on X as a “gold digger”.

He also posted a link to the 1963 Beatles song Money (That’s What I Want).

His tax returns will be sophisticated so you will likely want a forensic accountant to review them

Dror Bikel, New York family lawyer

Ms Ghorbani claims she needs more money because Gemma is autistic and her needs have changed.

Liam’s lawyer Judith Poller has called it an attempt to cash in on the Oasis tour.

Dror Bikel, another respected New York family lawyer, said the examination of Liam’s finances could be extensive.

He added: “When the accountants sink their teeth into it, people are in for a ride.

“His tax returns will be sophisticated so you will likely want a forensic accountant to review them and you can find out what investments he has, what property he owns.

“You start with the tax returns and go from there.”

And he said Liam could be held in contempt of court if he refuses to hand over more information.

Mr Bikel went on: “He could face financial penalties and the severest punishment is incarceration.

‘Could be consequences’

“If he doesn’t hand over his financial details there could be consequences.”

Mr Bikel also chided Liam for insulting Ms Ghorbani and said that it was “never a good idea” because “courts don’t like those kinds of things”.

In June the New York court heard Liam has paid out more than £750,000 since 2015. His lawyers said he later agreed to pay £180,000 towards Gemma’s school and autism-related expenses.

But Ms Ghorbani is demanding £510,000 a year to cover child support and expenses.

She and her daughter live in a £3,300-a-month Manhattan apartment. Her new demands include £22,500 a month for a home with a pool, £75,000 a year for a live-in nanny and a £5,000 holiday budget.

Liam, who has three other children, is said to have had a fling with Ms Ghorbani in 2011 soon after she interviewed him, while he was married to singer Nicole Appleton.

And things could get awkward — as it comes after he ignored a loving New Year’s message from his football star father amid their ongoing family feud.

A source said: “Brooklyn snubbing David’s special day will be a very public humiliation as he lives in Hollywood.

“Of course, David is hopeful the family will have mended their relations by then, especially after he has offered an olive branch to Brooklyn. The rift has been a great cause of heartache.”

David, 50, was included in the Hollywood Walk of Fame class of 2025 after the success of his Netflix documentary. His engraving will include his title “Sir” after he was knighted by King Charles.

Take That say ‘nothing could prepare them’ for fame in Netflix’s ‘deeply personal’ doc as trailer released

Take That are poised to dominate 2026 – and their fans have a lot to look forward to.

As well as their massive 17-date Circus Live stadium tour next spring, Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen are just 29 days away from dropping their huge Netflix documentary series.

Former members Jason Orange and Robbie Williams do not take part in the series, but fans will see them in never-before-seen interviews and archive clips

And bosses at the streaming giant have kindly shared the first trailer for the three-parter, left, exclusively with me. It will be shared on YouTube and across social media today from 10am.

The series will go ahead without Jason and Robbie but fans will see them speaking in never-before-seen interviews and clips from their time in the band.

Insiders told me that nothing was off limits for Mark, Howard and Gary in the documentary, which will see them giving new interviews about the highlights and the heartaches of being part of Take That.

For the opening trailer, Netflix has pulled together some amazing archive footage of the group at the very start of their careers, with Gary heard saying: “Nothing beats being in a band.

Elsewhere, a baby-faced Robbie walks into shot and looks at the camera as he says: “We all kiss before the show, in a butch way.”

Discussing the magnitude of what was to come — with Take That landing 20 Top Ten hits including 12 No1s — Howard adds: “I don’t think anything could prepare you for what we were about to take on in the Nineties.”

Netflix has billed the series, which is available to stream from January 27, as “the deeply personal and definitive story of Take That.”

A music insider told me: “Gary, Howard and Mark gave their all for this series.

“Take That was life-changing for all of them but, naturally, with the great highs came great lows.

“So much has been said and written about them, the documentary gives them the chance to say their piece — and no stone is left unturned.

“It really is a must-watch for their fans.”

Kim Kardashian pulled off the impossible this festive season – by getting all four of her kids to pose for a snap with her.

She filled her home with snow-covered trees before making North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm smile for the camera. Kim also posed with her mum Kris Jenner and a visiting Santa Claus.

And the kids had a lot to grin about after each were given a Pomeranian puppy, above.

But animal rights organisation PETA blasted Kim’s choice of gift.

Urging people to adopt, not shop, founder Ingrid Newkirk said: “It’s a shame Kim missed the chance to be a spokesperson for shelter pups and is being rightly slammed on social media.”

A dream team for Dermot

Dermot Kennedy has teamed up with Noah Kahan to work on new music, which may well end up on the Irishman’s upcoming third album.

Dermot has been pals with the Stick Season singer for years, but he recently let slip that they have finally got together to record tracks.

In an exclusive interview, I asked Dermot if he had been in the studio with any other artists and he replied: “We did spend a day with Noah Kahan, which was lovely.

“I’ve been a fan of his for a long time.”

Last month, Outnumbered singer Dermot announced a huge UK and Europe arena tour, which will begin in May.

And he told how his sleep pattern became “extremely irregular” while working on his forthcoming album.

He said: “There were days where I might start at night and go until all hours.

“When the mood feels right, you do it.”

Lily Allen stocked up on Britney Spears-themed cigarette lighters from Pittsburgh-based artist Jegan Mones, on her recent US trip.

The Smile singer loved the products so much she later returned to the store to buy others emblazened with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.

Sounds like Lily is paying homage to fellow reformed party girls in her own way.

Adele is rolling in the dosh

Adele banked £158,000 a week last year, despite not having released an album since 2021.

Her pop empire is run by A Adkins Touring, Melted Stone and Melted Stone Publishing and new accounts filed over Christmas reveal she added £8.2 million to her business riches over the year in 2024.

But that doesn’t include earnings from her money-spinning ten-date residency in a purpose-built venue in Munich, or the final 32 dates of her Las Vegas residency, which ended in November last year.

Even at a modest £100 per seat, the Munich gigs would have raked in £75million in ticket sales alone.

And although her Vegas residency saw Adele, above, performing in a smaller venue, she will still have made millions.

There was a six-year gap between her last two records, so maybe there won’t be too much longer to wait before Adele pops up to say Hello once again.

He’s had a cracking year with a new album and his biggest headline show yet but Sam Ryder won’t be opening the champagne on New Year’s Eve.

The singer is headlining the 40th annual London Parade on New Year’s Day, appearing in a line-up featuring 8,000 other performers, and he’s planning to play it safe in the run-up.

In an exclusive chat, he told me: “I love New Year’s, but love an early night more. Pre-gig prep like sleep and rest are super-important to me, so I’ll see in the New Year with friends, family and a few mocktails.”

The London Parade will be shown on London Live and on YouTube from 12pm.

Sam, right, continued: “We have an hour-long set so a decent amount of time to ring in the New Year in style.”

Next summer, Sam will take the lead in an 11-week run of Jesus Christ Superstar at the London Palladium – and is also penning tunes at his new home in Nashville.

He added: “We’ve got the busiest year coming up so I want to get into the most positive space.”

Gordon Ramsay’s explosive speech at daughter Holly’s wedding to Adam Peaty as swimmer blocks texts from estranged family

GORDON Ramsay gave a fiery speech at daughter Holly’s wedding to Olympian Adam Peaty — saying his wife Tana “will be a good mum to them both”.

The celebrity chef waded into the swimmer’s family feud as it emerged 31-year-old Adam has blocked their texts.

Ramsay, 59, gushed at how beautiful Holly looked and told Adam he was a “lucky man”, adding: “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.”

And in a sly dig at Adam’s absent parents he told Holly, 25: “Shame you don’t have the same.”

Adam’s feud with mum Caroline, 60, exploded last month after she was not invited to Holly’s hen do.

Last night a Peaty family source hit back at Gordon’s speech saying: “It just goes to show that this was the Ramsays’ plan all along.”

ICY MESSAGE

Adam Peaty ‘sent brutal text by aunt moments before marrying Holly Ramsay’

FACE OF GLOOM

Adam Peaty’s parents look devastated as they break cover after wedding snub

And it emerged Adam’s aunt Louise texted him moments before he walked into Bath Abbey on Saturday — but he never read it because he has blocked family messages.

The triple Olympic gold medallist, 31 yesterday, acknowledged the pain caused by the bust-up in his speech at the reception at Kin House in Kington Langley, Wilts.

He told how his swim coach Mel Marshall has been “everything”, “grounding and inspiring” him.

After an emotional pause he said she was, “like a mum”.

Adam also hailed the 200 guests’ support in a “difficult time”. Sister Beth, 32, was his only family at the service, maid of honour with Holly’s sisters Megan, 27, and Tilly, 24.

Adam’s mum, dad Mark, 65, and brothers James and Richard stayed at home in Staffordshire

The family source said: “This was the Ramsays’ plan all along. They wanted Adam’s family gone and they have succeeded.

“You’d think that as parents, Gordon and Tana would have a bit more compassion towards Caroline, Mark and the family.

“Caroline did everything and more to help Adam. She and Mark sacrificed a lot to get him where he is. Adam ought to be ashamed of himself for going ahead with the wedding without them after everything they did to support him.

“Beth has betrayed her mum to see what she can get out of being the only family member who gets on with Adam and Holly.

“This isn’t the Bethany we all know, she’s changed her appearance and personality to fit in with the Ramsays’ celebrity lifestyle.”

The source also revealed Adam had disinvited his great-aunt Janet and her husband Eddie days before the wedding — despite them booking accommodation and purchasing outfits. The source added: “It’s completely unacceptable.”

In her message, shortly before Adam entered the abbey with son George, five, his aunt Louise wrote: “I hope you never suffer the depth of pain you have put your mother through and despite it all she loves you still. Shame on you both.

“Remember on this, your happiest day, and on each anniversary of your happiest day, that you hurt your mum so deeply her soul screams.”

A family source confirmed Adam did not receive or read the message.

Holly wore two outfits at the reception — including Tana’s gown when she wed Gordon in 1996.

A DJ announced the tribute, sparking applause from guests including Ramsay pals David and Victoria Beckham

A source said: “David and Victoria were on the dance floor most of the evening. And they were almost the last to leave it. They happily mingled with everyone else.”

Adam’s best man was Ed Baxter, a former swimmer and business partner. Adam’s coach Mel sparked laughter by referring to her student as Golden Balls, while pointing out “the other” Golden Balls, Becks.

Mel told of her pride and joy at seeing Adam win the 100metres breaststroke gold at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, and Covid-hit Tokyo Games postponed to 2021.

All guests wore a wristband embossed with Adam and Holly’s initials to prevent wedding crashers.

A pal said last night: “Nothing interrupted what was a peaceful, joyous day with those closest to Holly and Adam.

“The ceremony was magical and the reception very emotional, there were a lot of tears.

“Gordon made an amazing speech that had everyone laughing and crying. None of the outside noise overshadowed what was an occasion filled with heartfelt joy and happiness for two people who are very much in love.”

Gordon walked his daughter down the aisle and Tana gave a reading during the hour-long service.

Holly arrived nearly 30 minutes late, wearing a bridal cape over her Christmas-themed dress.

A crowd of onlookers cheered the couple as they emerged. They were later whisked to the reception in a black Rolls-Royce. The maids of honour wore red dresses designed by Victoria, while Tana wore a similar style dress in green.

Other celebrities in attendance included Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies and TV presenter Dan Walker, who said on social media: “We had a lovely time celebrating with Adam and Holly.

“Great wedding, top people, wonderful service, unforgettable reception, brilliant speeches and we got to sing some bangers in the church too.”

A select few were invited to a breakfast gathering yesterday.

£50,000 FLOWERS JOKES IN SPEECH

Exclusive by Stephen Moyes

MEGABUCKS chef Gordon jokingly complained about the wedding’s £50,000 flowers in his speech.

And he poked gentle fun at Holly — calling her easily the most expensive of his six children.

Gordon revealed how young Holly worked out how to attach his credit card to her Apple Pay.

And he joked his other children will have to marry in a register office.

He said: “Only Holly could pick the most beautiful church and choose to cover its stunning windows in white roses.”

Holly will show off her wedding dress in Vogue magazine, published on New Year’s Day.

A source added: “Holly has always wanted to do Vogue so this is a coup.”

Her and Adam’s gift list included a £1,450 Big Green Egg outdoor cooker.

Other options were a £995 mahogany table, £800 chair and footstool, and £450 log storage bin.

Key reason Nick Reiner murder case will ‘differ from movies’ with chance for ‘historically uncommon’ death penalty move

PROSECUTORS at the helm of the murder case against Nick Reiner have a chance to pull a “historically uncommon” move if they pursue the death penalty, an attorney has warned.

Nick was charged with the horrific double murders of his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, who were found with multiple stab wounds in their home in the affluent enclave of Brentwood in Los Angeles on December 14.

A shackled Nick, 32, wore a blue anti-suicide vest during his initial appearance in court days after the gruesome killings.

A plea was not entered, as defense attorney Alan Jackson told the judge that the case against Nick was premature.

Eric Faddis, a criminal defense attorney based in Colorado, believes Nick’s legal team is teeing up for an insanity defense down the road, which he suspects they could have a hard time trying to prove.

“In order to prove that, how that works is that the defense would have to prove it’s more likely than not that [Nick] Reiner had a mental disease or defect, which caused him to not know the difference between right or wrong or to not understand the nature of his conduct,” Faddis, who is not associated with the case, told The U.S. Sun.

‘COLD BLOODED’

Grisly details emerge in death of girl after her body was found in desert

“So, that’s a high bar. It’s not like in the movies where people get off on insanity regularly. Prevailing on a not guilty by reason of insanity defense is uncommon. But it’s still certainly possible.”

Nick had been diagnosed with schizophrenia some time before he allegedly slaughtered his parents, according to TMZ.

The troubled middle child of Reiner, 78, and Singer, 68, was reportedly being treated by a psychiatrist for his condition, but in the month before the murders, Nick’s behavior became “alarming” as doctors switched his medication.

Weeks before the murders, Nick’s prescription was changed, making him “erratic and dangerous,” TMZ reported.

Nick had been open about his struggles with drug addiction, and admitted in a 2016 interview with People that he had been to rehab dozens of times since he was 15 years old.

Faddis said the claims of Nick’s reported mental health disorder could be “supportive of a not guilty by reason of insanity defense.”

“Doesn’t mean he’ll win, but it sounds like they’re compiling evidence in support of that defense,” he added.

UNCOMMON PURSUIT

Nick has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said he has not decided whether his office will pursue the death penalty against Nick.

However, Faddis said with Hochman at the helm, it would not be surprising if the district attorney sought to sentence Nick to death.

“It’s hard to say. Historically, Los Angeles has not been the most death penalty-friendly county,” Faddis said.

“It’s not something they pursue commonly, as compared to like Utah or something like that.

“But, with Nathan Hochman at the helm, you know, he has made some unexpected moves on different cases, including the Menendez brothers’ case that he was on.

“There was sort of this social movement to try and get the Menendez brothers released. And I think a lot of people thought perhaps Hochman would go along with that, but he didn’t.”

Hochman was critical of the outpouring of supporting to free Erik and Lyle Menendez following the release of Netflix’s Monsters crime drama, which dramatized the brothers’ infamous 1989 double murders of their parents.

“So, if he did pursue the death penalty in this case, it would be historically uncommon, but not totally unexpected just based on how Hochman has made decisions in other cases.”

HOLLYWOOD NIGHTMARE

Reiner and Singer died minutes after they were allegedly brutally attacked by their son, according to their death certificates.

The iconic filmmaker’s time of death was recorded as 3:45 pm on December 14, while his wife’s was noted as 3:46 pm.

The grisly scene at Reiner’s Brentwood home was only uncovered after a massage therapist arrived at the couple’s front gate for a scheduled appointment on the afternoon of December 14, according to The New York Times.

After the therapist received no answer at the front gate, she decided to call the couple’s daughter, Romy, who reportedly lived in the area.

When Romy, 27, arrived and entered her parents’ home, she stumbled upon the gruesome scene and reportedly came across her father’s body first.

Reiner and Singer were found in their bed with their throats slashed and could have been asleep when they were murdered, the Daily Mail reported.

When Los Angeles police arrived at the scene at around 3:30 pm, Romy told authorities that her brother Nick lived in their parents’ home.

However, authorities were unable to locate Nick on the property.

Nick was eventually arrested at around 9:15 pm near Exposition Park, about 14 miles from where his parents were found dead, Alan Hamilton, the deputy police chief at the LAPD, said.

About an hour before his arrest, Nick was captured on a gas station surveillance footage acting nervously while buying a Gatorade.

Moments later, after exiting the gas station, the video captured three police cruisers swarming Nick at a nearby sidewalk.

Nick was seen raising his hands and surrendering to police as multiple officers approached him and took him into custody.

Rebekah Vardy’s flavoured vodka brand runs into trouble as fuming fans have their orders cancelled

WAG Rebekah Vardy has run into trouble with her booze brand less than a year after it was launched.

Vardy, 43, launched SKTL last December with former footballer and I’m A Celebrity campmate Dennis Wise, 58.

The £25 flavoured vodka — inspired by husband Jamie’s love of mixing Skittles sweets into the spirit — appears to still be on sale from the company’s website.

But disappointed fans told The Sun on Sunday they had waited months for bottles ordered in October that never arrived.

Eventually, they received an automated message saying their money would be refunded but were given no explanation for the delay or cancellation of the order.

When one customer tried to contact Sktl, they found the company’s main email address bounced back.

Another customer said: “I’m furious, it took two months to find out they weren’t going to deliver.”

Pals of Rebekah — whose husband moved from Leicester to Serie A side Cremonese this summer — revealed the mother of five has paused work on the drink brand to settle into life in Italy.

The source said: “There’s no problem with the brand; and it’s still something Rebekah wants to push on with.

“But, just for the moment, she’s had to take a breath – so she can focus on Italy and organising the family moving out and then getting settled in there.

“Once that’s all sorted, vodka will be back as one of her focuses!”

Eye-watering sum George Michael has raked in from beyond the grave

WHAM! star George Michael has raked in almost £75million from beyond the grave — and is set to bank even more, accounts show.

The singer’s firm, Nobby’s Hobbies Holding Limited, has turned over £74.7million since he died aged 53 on Christmas Day 2016.

Royalties poured in after the band’s 1984 classic hit Last Christmas, which he wrote, was the festive No1 in both 2023 and 2024.

George’s estate earned £6.6million from the 2023 chart success alone.

Cash also came from the 2023 Netflix documentary Wham!.

The company’s latest accounts end in March 2024, meaning earnings from Christmas 2024 are yet to be included.

George Michael’s £10m mansion gets modern makeover after row with neighbours

Generous George

George Michael’s incredible generosity revealed after handing singer £50k

George left a £98million fortune when he died, mostly to his sisters.

We revealed earlier in the year how George Michael’s dilapidated £10m London mansion is showing signs of improvement after major renovation work.

A bitter row with neighbours over the chopping down of a number of historic trees hasn’t deterred the late star’s sister from updating the property.

George’s only living sibling, Yioda Panayiotou, was handed ownership of the property following the singer’s tragic death on Christmas Day 2016 at the age of 53.

There was outrage when Yioda’s design team asked the local council to remove a number of trees and prune others at the front and rear of the property, which is in a conservation area.

One residents association was furious that the works were also going to occur during the peak nesting season, which runs from March to July.

Fury as ‘selfish’ Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay BAN public from historic church for an entire day when they get married

ADAM Peaty and Holly Ramsay have made waves over their wedding plans — by banning the public from the venue for an entire day.

The ceremony for the Olympic swimmer, 30, and his model bride, 25, is scheduled to last for just 90 minutes on Saturday.

But they have block-booked Bath Abbey so no one else can get hitched there on the day.

Sources at the abbey said it was an “all-day booking” and tourists will also be stopped from entering the landmark.

A security team is set to patrol to stop people trying to take pictures of the couple.

The cost of hiring the facility for a wedding can be around £2,500 — but the couple are thought to be paying several thousand more for exclusivity.

One local said: “It seems rather selfish to be hiring the abbey for the whole day when your wedding service only lasts for an hour and a half or so.”

Around 200 people are set to attend, including Holly’s chef dad Gordon and their close friends David and Victoria Beckham — but a falling-out has led to Adam’s mum Caroline being left off the guest list.

The couple have a “special connection” to the abbey — meaning they comply with a rule that anyone hiring it must have a link to it.

In its list of conditions for eligibility to be wed there, it is on offer to “parishioners, members of the congregation and those with a qualifying connection to the abbey”.

It is unknown what the connection is that the couple have which qualifies them.

Adam’s spokesman declined to comment, saying: “It’s a private, family wedding.”

Meanwhile, Adam has been branded “spiteful” after he left most of his family off his Christmas gift list amid their wedding falling-out.

He did not get anything for his parents, or brothers James and Richard.

He did get Richard’s daughter presents, along with his sister Bethany and her two kids.

But he ignored the young sons, aged 11 and seven, of James, who was arrested for allegedly making threats against him last month.

A family source said: “Kids are innocent and shouldn’t be included in any family fallout. To do this is cruel and spiteful.”

The Sun asked Adam’s team for comment.

Inside The Osbournes’ heartbreaking first Christmas without Ozzy

AS the Osbournes face their first Christmas without Ozzy, his daughter Kelly has a sure-fire way to put a smile on the family’s faces – a new puppy.

The Black Sabbath legend, who died on July 22, age 76, famously hated the festive season.

But that hasn’t stopped Kelly ploughing ahead with plans to try and boost the grieving clan — as 14 of them gather at Sharon and Ozzy’s Buckinghamshire pad for the big day.

And it sounds like Sharon especially will be showered with love.

Kelly said: “I got my mom so many gifts. It’s crazy.

“I did everything bespoke this year.

“I got her all the things that I know that she really needs but with her name on.

“We have a problem with moths in our house so I had these special moth bags made that say, ‘F**k off moths’.

“I got her some new gardening equipment with her name on because she’s been doing a lot of gardening, and a stocking with her name on it.

“She loves chocolate so I bought her a huge new chocolate jar that says ‘Sharon’s Chocolate’.

“I’m also getting her a new puppy because this year we lost Elvis (Sharon’s beloved Siberian Husky, who died in October age 14), which is really hard.

“It’s a Pomapoo (a cross between a Pomeranian and a miniature poodle).

‘I’ll be sous chef – I just point with wooden spoon’

“I don’t even want to go into it all because I keep accidentally telling her what I got her — I get too excited so I tell everyone everything.

“But she knows she’s getting the dog so it’s not going to ruin the surprise.”

There’s no doubt the first Christmas without the Prince of Darkness will be a painful one.

But Kelly is still doing all she can to bring the festive spirit for her mum, as well as her DJ partner Sid Wilson and their three-year-old son Sidney at the mansion where Ozzy is buried underneath an apple tree.

Kelly revealed: “We are going to have a proper English Christmas.

“I always love that.

“They don’t even have crackers in LA.

“You’ve got to go to the (specialty shop) World Market to get them, and they’re not even the best ones.

“So we will have crackers and all watch the King’s speech.

“On the day, there’s going to be 14 of us and I ordered everyone that’s with us a pair of matching pyjamas to wear.

“We are going to be sitting in front of the telly.

We are going to have a proper English Christmas. I always love that

Kelly Osbourne

“My brother Louis (Ozzy’s eldest son who he had with ex-wife Thelma Riley) will cook dinner.

“I’m going to be the sous chef, which means I just point with a wooden spoon. And we’re going to eat tons of chocolates.”

Fresh from his stint on I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here!, Jack Osbourne, 40, will stay in LA with his wife and children.

“But he’ll be on FaceTime,” Kelly added.

“Then Mom is leaving two days after Christmas to be with him.

“My son is so excited for Christmas.

“Space NK brought Santa Claus to visit us and he couldn’t believe it.

“He kept sneaking into Santa’s sack.

“It was so cute and such a magical moment.

“Me and Mom were sat there going ‘aww’.”

Speaking at Juliet Sear’s Silverwood baking range launch at Fortnum & Mason, Kelly joked that she might even attempt to make her This Morning pal’s gingerbread cookies, saying: “She does make it look easy.

“I’ve been doing a lot of charity work before Christmas to keep me busy because I find it really fulfilling.

“I’m working with Centrepoint as well the King’s Trust, and all the charities from Birmingham that we work with, like the Children’s Hospital, Acorn, and the Parkinson’s charity.”

In a low moment, though, Kelly is ready to admit all her efforts to stay busy don’t mask her grief at losing her dad.

She said: “I just want to get through Christmas without crying.”

Kelly has lost a lot of weight since he died — which cruel trolls have pointed out online.

She previously said in a video on social media: “To the people who keep thinking they’re being funny and mean by writing comments like ‘are you ill?’ or ‘get off Ozempic, you don’t look right’.

“My dad just died, and I’m doing the best that I can, and the only thing I have to live for right now is my family.

“And I choose to share my content with you and share the happy side of my life not the miserable side of my life.

“So to all those people, f**k off.”

‘Being an aunt is the best job in the world’

Now she has hit out at the criticism of how she and Jack, who both shot to fame on MTV’s The Osbournes, have been handling Ozzy’s death.

Kelly said: “I think that people forget that he and I are not the teenagers from that reality show.

“You know what people do now is they’re like, ‘Oh my God, she’s had so much plastic surgery’.

“But you’re looking at a picture of me from when I was 16 years old.

I’m 41 years old now. It’s insane.”

It’s the family that keeps Kelly and the rest of the Osbournes going — and they are all thrilled that Jack is now expecting his fifth child.

Jack has three children from his previous marriage, and little daughter Maple with interior designer wife Aree Gearhart.

Kelly added: “Jack and I have this weird dynamic.

“Even though I am the older sister, he’s the older brother.

We will have crackers and watch the King’s speech. On the day, there’s going to be 14 of us and I’ve ordered everyone a pair
of matching pyjamas to wear. We’ll be sitting in front of the telly

Kelly Osbourne

“I go to him more than he comes to me.

“Unless I have to be protective of him, then I’m the older sister.

“I speak to him every day.

“I’ve already rang him twice this morning.

“Doing the jungle, the hardest thing for me was not being able to speak to him.

“And he is having another baby.

“I try not to make it about me, but I get so excited that I get to be an aunt again because being an aunt is the best job in the world.

“I’ve now got five nieces and nephews now and it’s so good.

“And now that some of Jack’s daughters are getting older, we have a different relationship, where they come to me for things that they don’t go to their dad for.

“It’s really special.”

And with 2026 around the corner, Kelly is not planning to make any resolutions this year.

She said: “No. I’m working on having a farm here.

“I’m setting up barns as we speak, then we’ll get animals.

“The plan is to stay in England now. I wouldn’t leave my dad.

“It’s just one day at a time.

“Grief is a hard thing. It really is.

“You never know when it’s going to take you out.

“It’s the hardest thing you’ll ever go through in your life.

“I’ll never ever be the girl I was before.”

Reason Brooklyn Beckham blocked his ‘heartbroken’ family on social media revealed as ‘furious’ Cruz blasts his brother

BROOKLYN Beckham blocked his family on social media after mum Victoria “liked” a post of his about roasting a chicken, The Sun can reveal.

The budding chef, 26, saw red after Posh showed her approval of a self-shot video in which he discusses beer-brining a bird to give it extra flavour.

Former Spice Girl Posh’s response was soon followed with comments from fans urging estranged Brooklyn to build bridges with his family.

But it is believed that he got annoyed at his worried mum’s public display of affection as she bids to heal the family rift.

David and Victoria are understandably heartbroken by what’s gone on here

Within hours of her olive branch, Brooklyn had blocked Victoria, 51, dad David, 50, brothers Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and his 14-year-old sister Harper.

It means they cannot see any Instagram posts he uploads from his LA home where he lives with actress wife Nicola Peltz, 30.

BOLD MOVE

Fresh twist in Beckham family feud as David and Victoria UNFOLLOW son Brooklyn

POSH’S PAIN

Inside Victoria’s plans for Xmas without Brooklyn as she gives up on call hope

It was initially thought that the Beckham family had “unfollowed” Brooklyn’s account, as The Sun on Sunday reported yesterday.

Cruz soon put things straight.

Pulling no punches, he shared a post which read: “Not true.

“My mum and dad would never unfollow their son.

“Let’s get the facts right.

“They woke up blocked  . . .  as did I.”

It marked the first time any of the image-conscious Beckhams had directly addressed the family feud.

Despite wall-to-wall coverage of the row, it was business as usual until Cruz’s blunt contribution.

Unsurprisingly, Cruz and Romeo are furious

A source said: “David and Victoria are understandably heartbroken by what’s gone on here.

‘PUBLIC ATTACK’

“This came out of the blue for them, and in the lead-up to Christmas when families are supposed to come together, it’s devastating.”

The source added: “All they want is for things to be fixed but with every week they just seem to be getting worse.

“Unsurprisingly, Cruz and Romeo are furious that Brooklyn would make such a public attack.

“As for Brooklyn, he wants things fixed in private and not played out on social media, although his actions have resulted in quite the opposite.”

Brooklyn, who married Nicola in a lavish wedding in April 2022, has had nothing to do with his family since the start of the year.

It is thought the feud may have somehow been triggered during the lead-up to Brooklyn and heiress Nicola’s big day.

He swerved his dad’s 50th birthday celebrations in May and the proud ex-England football captain’s knighthood investiture at Windsor Castle last month.

In between, none of the Beckhams were present when the couple renewed their wedding vows in August.

The Beckhams have not been pictured together as a family since Boxing Day last year.

AS a headstrong leading lady in Bridgerton’s second series, Simone Ashley’s character Kate Sharma found her happy ever after.

However, Simone has since unfollowed Tim on Instagram.

Lily Allen wows at star-studded Stringfellows party dressed as sexy Santa

“They have since decided that they want different things, so have ended their romance.”

It comes after Simone revealed she had split from her long-term boyfriend Constantin “Tino” Klein in February.

Chatting on BBC’s Woman’s Hour the following month about her new film, Picture This, she said: “It’s kind of ironic I’m promoting a romcom and, as of January this year, I’ve been entering my single era.”

Simone met former lawyer Constantin at the Grand Prix in Monaco in May 2022.

She later told Vogue magazine there was someone special in her life, but didn’t name him, explaining: “I’m very happy. We haven’t gone public yet.”

They went Instagram official soon after, with Simone sharing a snap of Constantin on his birthday in December 2022, captioned: “The best birthday surprise for the best person.”

Let’s hope she will be lucky in love in 2026.

LIZZO IN SPIRITED QUEST

POP star Lizzo is swapping showbiz for the drinks biz after necking tequila live on stage.

It comes after the US star appeared at the 2019 Video Music Awards clutching a gem-encrusted bottle of the spirit.

Lizzo called the drink “chaquila”– which means a chug plus tequila.

But now her firm, Lizzo LLC, has applied for a global trademark to use the word Chaquila to sell drinks.

Papers filed with the UK Government’s Intellectual Property Office reveal she wants to use the term to market “alcoholic seltzers; alcoholic carbonated beverages, except beer; alcoholic beverages, except beer”.

The legal documents were lodged just days ago and are yet to be rubber-stamped.

Lizzo has even sung about her favourite tipple on the track Love In Real Life.

She sings: “Tequila, do your job, girl, help me change my mind. How many shots this time? (One, two, three, four).

“Tequila, do your job, girl, give me salt and lime. To help me fix my life (one, two, three, four).” Drink it all in, Lizzo.

The Texas Hold ’Em hitmaker saw the 32 stadium concerts gross a total of $407,600,113, (around £305million), with an average ticket price of £191.

She told Pollstar: “I’ve been touring since the age of 15, nonstop. I have slowly built my legacy brick by brick.

“This show is a testament to the power of consistency and the dedication put into any craft.”

On believing in herself when some of the industry did not, she continued: “I’ve learned at a young age that nobody invests in you like you invest in yourself. I’ve slowly built with every tour.”

Beyonce rose to fame in Destiny’s Child alongside Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

She added: “The first tour Destiny’s Child did with Wyclef Jean, we toured in a minivan.

“On a later tour in the late ’90s, we did our quick changes in a muddy tent in the rain because we didn’t have proper dressing rooms, designing our own clothes because designers would not.

“A decade of visiting every radio station on Earth, advocating for ourselves. Slowly building into being able to tour with a small band.

“More building until we could tour with dancers.

“Finally, selling out my first arena as a solo artist. The decades of fighting with the promoters, convincing them that an R&B artist could sell out a stadium.

“I continued to invest in myself and stay focused on the vision.

“I’m beyond grateful for my fans that have been a part of my journey.

“It’s important to me that they leave the show reinvigorated and inspired, feeling more in love with themselves, and closer to the people they love.”

I was lucky enough to be at the tour this year and Queen B rules.

But in a 99-second video for EsDeeKid’s track 4 Raws posted online on Friday night, Timothee danced with the balaclava-clad bad boy in a cramped kitchen.

Timothee also referenced his rapper alter-ego Timmy Tim and his make-up mogul girlfriend Kylie Jenner.

The Oscar-nominated actor, right and below in the video, raps: “It’s Timothee Chalamet chillin’, tryna stack a hundred million, girl got a billion.”

While the full remix has yet to be released, the video clip has already received nearly two million likes, along with comments from UK rapper Central Cee and US rap star Rich The Kid.

Timothee is now promoting his upcoming movie Marty Supreme, in which he plays ping-pong prodigy Marty Mauser.

Woke BBC bosses could thwart fresh bid to finally get Fairytale of New York to Christmas No1

WOKE BBC bosses could thwart a fresh bid to finally get Fairytale of New York to the Christmas number one spot – 38 years after it was released.

The corporation’s radio stations refusing to play a newly released ‘live’ version of The Pogues’ Fairytale of New York because it contains the “cheap, lousy f****t” lyric.

The track by the Irish rockers, originally released in 1987, is one of several vintage festive tracks that only reached number two in the charts, despite becoming classic anthems

Another example is White Christmas by Wham! which was kept off the number one spot by Band Aid’s Do They Know It’s Christmas in 1984.

But fans finally got that to the top spot in 2023.

Fairytale has long been surrounded by controversy because it contains a perceived homophobic slur which has either been removed in some versions or not played at all.

ALL TOGETHER NOW

Watch legendary band The Pogues reform a year after Shane MacGowan’s death

A music industry insider said: “It feels unfair that this live version which shouldn’t be edited has now been barred from the Beeb’s playlist.

“It’s an authentic performance of a much loved track by a much loved band and this move might be the measure that prevents it from getting to number one at Christmas, which is where it has always deserved to be.”

The original single was only kept from the top spot by Pet shop Boys classic Always On My Mind, which was a high-energy cover version of the Elvis Presley ballad.

Despite always making it into the top ten every Christmas, and featuring in the 2019 festive special of Gavin & Stacey, it’s never made it to number one.

The BBC were approached for comment.

Simon Cowell’s new band December 10 to star in second Netflix docuseries which follows boyband’s first crack at fame

Simon Cowell is making a second series of his boyband documentary to follow December 10 as they try to make it big.

It means the group’s brand new fans will have a front row seat to everything that’s happened since cameras stopped rolling on The Next Act.

The six-part series followed Simon through auditions and recording studio bootcamp as he selected seven boys for the group.

The second run will pick up where it left off and show December 10 heading to Nashville to record new music, prepare for launch and take their first steps towards fame.

Simon Cowell: The Next Act has dominated the top three on Netflix since its launch last Wednesday.

A source said: “There was a quiet hope that a show about finding a boyband would be as popular now as it was back in the days of The X Factor, but everyone has been thrilled by the reception because of course the whole world of entertainment has totally changed since then.

SI’S PAIN

Simon Cowell reveals moment he learnt Liam Payne died while filming The Next Act

“Following December 10 for a second series is a no brainer.

“They’re rocketing online and already have a strong fan base, and a camera crew has been following them pretty much since series one wrapped.”

The lads officially began their journey today (mon) when they launched a new music video on YouTube – their cover of N*Sync’s Bye Bye Bye.

The group are Cruz, 19, Danny, 16, Hendrick, 19, John 17, Josh, 17, Nicolas, 16 and Sean, 19.

But there’s been another big character behind The Next Act’s success with viewers – the newly-minted Mrs Cowell.

Fans have loved seeing Lauren Silverman’s personality shine as part of the fly-on-the-wall scenes at home with Simon and their son Eric.

The source added: “The whole show has been a real boost for the whole family really, Simon is back doing what he loves and he’s been happy to reveal a little more about who he really is behind closed doors.

“Production firm Box To Box are back shooting the content for series two and it’s hoped Netflix will be on board to stream the next chapter of The Next Act.”

It comes after Simon told The Sun last week that he’s confident the boys will be a success.

Simon revealed December 10 had chosen the name themselves because it was the release date of the documentary
