CHARLOTTE Crosby has been forced to sell clothes for just £6 as she announced she’s closing her fashion brand amid financial woes.

The 36-year-old started Pepper Girls Club nine years ago, but in an emotional post on Tuesday night, she revealed she’s saying goodbye to her beloved company.

Taking to her Instagram stories, she penned: “After 9 incredible years, it’s time to say goodbye to @peppergirlsclub.

“This has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make.

“To everyone who believed in Pepper Girls Club, supported every launch, placed an order, shared our posts, wore our clothes or simply cheered us on from the sidelines.. thank you.

“You made this dream possible and I will never be able to fully express just how grateful I am.

“The reality is that the current climate has become one of the hardest times for small businesses to survive and I’ve reached the point where I have to prioritise my family, growing my family and my future projects.”

The former Geordie Shore star revealed that this will be the final restock of some of their sold out products as she announced a closing down sale.

“While this chapter is coming to an end, it’s taught me resilience and determination like no other and the lessons I have learnt will stay with me forever,” she continued.

“Pepper Girls Club will always hold a very special place in my heart and I’ll forever be proud of everything we achieved and built together.”

Charlotte concluded her emotional post by thanking her mum Letitia for helping her with the brand over the years.

The reality star has been forced to slash her prices, with some items being sold for as little as £5.99.

T-shirts that are usually £19.00 have been reduced to even more than half price as she attempts to flog her remaining stock.

The news comes after Charlotte closed down another one of her businesses last month.

She had announced that Studio Yours, which was a creative space for content creation in the North East, was being closed.

Her post read: “After an incredible couple of years, we’ve made the difficult decision to close Studio Yours.

“We want to say a huge thank you to every single person & business who booked in to use our creative space.

“It has been a privilege to welcome so many amazing businesses, creatives, families and brands through our doors, and we’re so grateful for the memories we’ve made together.”

The post continued: “We will be selling furniture & production equipment so if you’ve had your eye on anything, or would be interested in purchasing items from the studio, please send us a message for more information.

“Thank you again for all of your support from the North East, Studio Yours wouldn’t have been what it was without you.”

The Celebrity Big Brother winner first revealed her financial woes in September last year.

She admitted that she put £300,000 into Pepper Girls Club but hadn’t seen a penny back.

Speaking in a behind-the-scenes video to share the secrets of her company, she admitted her financial struggles have been the hardest part of running her company.

Charlotte said: “I have literally put so much money into this business. That is no word of a lie.

“I’ve put about £300,000 into this business over the last eight years. “I haven’t received a penny of that back.”

She added: “The company is only in debt to me which is fine. “I would love to get it to the point where I can start to get some of that money back. But it is just not there yet.”

Charlotte further revealed that she had campaigned to get investment from others to help the business but had been cruelly dismissed by potential lenders.

She recalled how one even said to her: “Their accountant told me that Pepper Girls Club would do good the day that pigs fly.”

“I’d advise wearing cotton clothes or anything made of natural fibres.”

Anything that restricts blood flow is also not advisable – particularly for long journeys.

The vein specialist at Metro Vein Centers told the Huffington Post: “Wearing restrictive garments such as skinny jeans that are too tight reduces blood’s ability to flow into and out of the legs.”

This, combined with sitting for long periods of time, can cause blood to pool in the legs, which increasing the chances of thrombosis – a serious condition where a blood clot forms in a deep vein of the leg.

To be safe, it’s advisable to wear non-restrictive clothing, like trousers, skirts, shorts or dresses that have an elastic waistband.

Any clothing with swear words or offensive slogans could see you asked to cover up before boarding too.

Holidaymakers who are flying to a hot destination are encouraged to dress “modestly”.

So no wearing a bikini or swim trunks before getting to your destination.

Shoes

For any fan of flip flops, these aren’t advisable to wear onboard a flight – again, for health and safety reasons.

Former cabin crew member Tony Kuna commented on Quora: “During an emergency, all sorts of debris and unpleasant ground surfaces will block your way towards the exit, as well as outside the aircraft.”

“If your feet [aren’t] properly covered, you’ll have a hard time making your way to safety.”

Bags

There’s fewer rules when it comes to bags – apart from make sure they comply with the measurements of the airline.

But to give yourself full comfort, it’s advisable to take a less rigid bag with you if it’s going under the seat.

Having a stiff bag, like a basket or weave one, will restrict your own legroom as it can’t be compressed.

Other items

It might be tempting to pop your contact lenses in before a flight to avoid the faff of glasses.

But the dry environment on a flight really isn’t suitable.

On the London Vision Clinic website, it explains: “With the average humidity on planes coming in as low as 20 per cent, our skin and eyes can dry out pretty quickly.

“Combine this with the moisture-sapping effects of contact lenses, and you can have a real recipe for disaster on your hands.”

Wearing contact lenses on flights can cause itchy, irritated eyes and can even result in “distorted vision”.

Of course, don’t forget to pack your power bank in your hand luggage rather than a checked in bag.

The lithium in portable chargers mean that they pose a risk of overheating and even catching fire.

As a result, there has been a ban on having power banks in hold luggage since 2016.

Airlines ask passengers to take portable power banks in hand luggage, but they strictly cannot be used during a flight.

GEMMA Collins looked great in a bikini as she makes a bit of extra cash by selling her old clothes for just a tenner.

The former Towie star, 45, took to her Instagram story to tell her 2.3 million followers that she’s uploaded some bits from her wardrobe on app Vinted.

The GC wowed in a blue paisley bikini and matching sarong.

She completed the look with long beach waves.

“Make me crazy prices on Vinted today, it’s all got to go,” she captioned the post.

It’s not the first time that Gemma has taken to Vinted to sell her unwanted clothes.

Just last month Gemma oozed beauty and body confidence rocking a skin-tight swimsuit by the water.

The TV personality posted the stunning snap to her Instagram grid today, alongside an inspirational message for her followers.

In the photo Gemma is sitting on a sun lounger wearing the off-the-shoulder swimwear.

The pink outfit perfectly hugged her curves and featured a sweet bow detail at the bust.

The Spanish fashion giant behind Zara, Inditex, posted net income of €1.4 billion in the first quarter, up 5.4% year-on-year and ahead of market expectations.

Sales rose 5.8% to €8.7bn, or 8.8% at constant exchange rates, ahead of the roughly 8% analysts had anticipated.

Gross profit rose 6.9% to €5.4bn, helped by an improvement in profit margins, meaning the company kept a larger share of revenue as profit. EBITDA, a measure of underlying earnings, increased 7.3% to €2.6bn.

Inditex shares rose more than 5% on Wednesday after the company reported a strong start to the second quarter, with sales increasing 11.5% between 1 May and 1 June, reassuring investors that the Zara owner remains resilient despite signs of weakening consumer spending.

“Inditex continued its strong momentum with its latest results beating first quarter expectations, and also seen a strong start to the second quarter too, as sales grew more or less in line with the rate the company exited with in the previous quarter,” said Mamta Valechha, consumer discretionary analyst at Quilter Cheviot.

The revenue jump from one of the world’s largest listed clothing retailers points to solid consumer appetite heading into the summer, despite concerns that a more uncertain economic and geopolitical backdrop could weigh on spending in the months ahead.

Navigating geopolitical risks

The results come as businesses around the world face growing uncertainty over the global economy and concerns that consumers may cut back on spending.

Inditex said its wide-ranging supply chain and flexible transport network had helped it keep products flowing to stores around the world despite recent disruptions.

“Ultimately, Inditex continues to have a resilient business model that can withstand significant economic pressures and currency headwinds,” said Mamta Valechha, consumer discretionary analyst at Quilter Cheviot.

Valechha said strong customer demand and the company’s ability to source products close to its key markets had helped it keep collections up to date while limiting the need for discounts. Productivity improvements had also helped protect profitability.

Inditex also said that the current “geopolitical challenges” had an impact on the sales in the Middle East, a region that Barclays estimates accounts for about 5% of its revenue.

The company also warned that ongoing instability in the region could affect its performance in the months ahead.

Inditex faces a number of other challenges, including higher shipping costs and rising prices for raw materials such as cotton and polyester. Currency movements are also expected to weigh on results this year.

Inditex ended the quarter with 5,456 stores and a net cash position of €10.8bn.

The board has proposed a dividend of €1.75 per share for the last fiscal year, comprising an ordinary component of €1.20 and a bonus of €0.55, payable in two instalments in May and November 2026.

Despite the strong start to the year, Inditex left its outlook unchanged. It said it expects sales growth to continue into the second quarter, supported by strong demand for its spring and summer collections and ongoing improvements to its stores and operations.

However, the company said currency fluctuations are likely to reduce sales growth by around 1% over the full year. It also expects to invest about €2.3bn in the business during the current financial year.
