Marcus Smart plans to join Lakers after Wizards buy out contract

The Lakers have found their point-of-attack, defensive-mind wing defender in guard Marcus Smart, who has agreed to a buyout with the Washington Wizards and plans to sign a two-year, $11-million deal with Los Angeles, people not authorized to speak publicly on the matter confirmed to The Times on Saturday.

Smart, the 2022 defensive player of the year when he played for the Boston Celtics, will sign his deal contract after when he clears waivers. He has a player option after the 2025-26 season, meaning he can become a free agent next summer.

The Lakers were in need of a defensive wing after defensive ace Dorian Finney-Smith signed with the Houston Rockets.

Smart played in only 34 games last season, splitting time between Memphis and Washington. He dealt with a finger injury on his shooting hand last season. He averaged 9.0 points, 3.2 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game while shooting 39.3% from the field.

Smart, 31, played in only 20 games during the 2023-24 season with the Grizzlies, his time limited by a finger injury and left foot sprain. During his time on the court, Smart averaged 14.4 points per game and shot 43% from the field, 31.3% from three-point range.

Smart was at his best during his nine seasons with the Boston Celtics, making the playoffs each year. He missed the playoffs the last two seasons in Memphis and Washington.

He started a career-high 71 games during the 2021-22 season, when he averaged 32.3 minutes per game, 12.1 points and shot 41.8% from the field, 33.1% from three-point range.

That was the same season Smart was the defensive player of the year. He’s also a three-time member of the NBA’s All-Defensive first team.

With a starting backcourt of Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves, two players not known for their defense, the Lakers really needed a defensive-minded player like Smart.

The 6-foot-3 Smart has the size, strength (220 pounds) and athleticism to defend three positions — point guards, shooting guards and small forwards.

His soon-to-be addition, along with that of center Deandre Ayton and forward Jake LaRavia, gives the Lakers depth and talent to hopefully contend in the uber-tough Western Conference.

Smart was the sixth overall pick in the 2014 draft by the Celtics.

He has been a starter and reserve over his career, having started 387 out of 635 games in an 11-year career.

During that time, Smart averaged 10.6 points, 4.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds, a sign of his all-around talents. He shot 38.8% from the field, 32.4% from three-point range and 77.6% from the free-throw line in his career.

But Smart is at his best on defense. His career defensive rating is 107.9.

He has the ability to move his feet and stay in front of his man. He’s a very good one-on-one defender, and that’s exactly what the Lakers need.

One thing Brits should never buy at the airport or risk ‘spending £30 more’

Leaving things until the last minute can often end up costing you more, especially when it comes to going on holiday, and there’s one purchase costing Brits more than they might expect.

It’s best not to leave things too late when booking a holiday. Not only can it be stressful, but you’ll often find yourself having to pay more for flights and hotels than you might have if you’d booked weeks in advance.

While heading to less well-known destinations, or booking your flights on the cheapest day of the week can help you save a few pennies here and there, there’s one costly mistake many Brits are still making while travelling.

Realising you’ve forgotten to pack a toothbrush or a pair of flip flops at the airport can be annoying, and making a list of what to pack can easily prevent this, but forgetting sun cream is likely setting you back more than you might think.

A recent study from Travel Republic revealed that Brits splurge an eye-watering £683million annually buying the easily avoidable last-minute purchase at the airport.

The online travel agents found that that over one in three Brits confess to forgetting to buy sun cream before going on holiday, but this minor oversight can be pricier than anticipated.

A standard bottle of SPF 30 at the airport can set you back as much as £30 more than if you’d picked it up on the high street, and Travel Republic has warned travellers that they could end up shelling out up to £35 for a last-minute bottle of sun cream, reports the Express.

Even if you’re only taking hand luggage with you, decanting your sun cream prior to travel could save you a pretty penny and prevent you from having to fork out on a bottle you might not even get through.

Sun cream isn’t the only expense hitting travellers wallets. Travel Republic also found that over half a million UK adults opted for express passports for their summer holiday, adding a whopping £111 million to the national last-minute holiday bill.

Even if you’ve bagged yourself a bargain flight, the dream of a budget-friendly break can quickly turn sour if you overlook an impending passport expiry, an oversight that’s all too common.

While forgetting sun cream is an easy mistake to make, shelling out for an emergency passport is easily avoided with a bit of forward planning, and it’s as simple as checking your passport before booking a spontaneous getaway.

Data from the HM Passport Office reveals that in 2023, over 500,000 people chose fast-track services for a new passport, which on average costs a hefty £194.25 for one-week or same-day services.

To dodge such steep costs, Travel Republic advises checking passports annually and at least a month before you jet off to ensure you have ample time to renew it if necessary.

The digital travel experts also recommend creating a checklist a week prior to your flight, particularly if you’re planning on checking in luggage. This ensures that you don’t overlook essentials like sun cream and adapters, which can be quite costly if purchased last minute.

Snoop Dogg becomes latest American celebrity to buy stake in EFL club

Snoop Dogg told us long ago that he’s got his mind on his money and his money on his mind.

Now he’s got his mind on using some of that money to become the latest American celebrity to invest in an English Football League team.

On Thursday, Welsh club Swansea City announced that the hip-hop legend, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, is joining its ownership group. It was not disclosed what percentage of the club is now owned by Snoop Dogg or how much he invested in the team.

The announcement came days after the “Gin & Juice” rapper helped reveal Swansea City’s uniforms for the upcoming season by posing in the new home jersey in a video posted to Instagram.

“My love of football is well known, but it feels special to me that I make my move into club ownership with Swansea City,” Snoop Dogg said in a statement released Thursday by Swansea City. “The story of the club and the area really struck a chord with me. This is a proud, working class city and club. An underdog that bites back, just like me.

“I’m proud to be part of Swansea City. I am going to do all I can to help the club.”

Swansea City plays in the EFL Championship, the league’s second tier, which means Snoop Dogg’s team will be competing against the likes of Wrexham, which was famously purchased in 2020 by actors Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, and Birmingham City, which boasts NFL legend Tom Brady as a minority owner.

Other famous Americans who own stakes in EFL teams include Lakers superstar LeBron James (Liverpool) and former NFL star J.J. Watt and his wife and former NWSL star Kealia Watt (Burnley).

Once a polarizing gangsta rapper and now a beloved pop culture icon, Snoop Dogg has expressed interest in owning a soccer team before. The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper told the Daily Record in 2012 that he wouldn’t mind purchasing a stake in a specific Scottish club.

“I see how passionate Celtic fans are about their team,” Snoop Dogg said, “and I could see myself making an investment if any of the board wanted to sell.”

He added: “The boxes at Celtic would never be the same once I have hosted a party there.”

Now Snopp Dogg is finally a club owner, and Swansea City is happy to have him.

“To borrow a phrase from Snoop’s back catalogue, this announcement is the next episode for Swansea City as we seek to create new opportunities to boost the club’s reach and profile,” the club said in a statement.

“Snoop’s colossal global fanbase and audience will certainly help us do that, and he has made clear to us throughout this process just how excited he is at the prospect of joining the club. … We expect his involvement to support us putting as competitive a team as possible out on the field.”

Beat ’em or buy ’em. Fox News and others chase online audiences with podcaster deals

As legacy news brands turn to podcasters to court online audiences, another digital media upstart has been invited to sit at the grown-ups table.

Fox News Media this week signed a licensing deal with the makers of “Ruthless,” a popular conservative podcast, a move aimed at expanding the network’s digital reach.

The five-year-old podcast is co-hosted by public affairs and digital advocacy consulting firm Cavalry LLC’s founding partners Josh Holmes, Michael Duncan and John Ashbrook, as well as Shashank Tripathi, a commentator known by the pseudonym “Comfortably Smug.” It will operate under the Fox News Digital division led by Porter Berry. The co-hosts will also get exposure on the Fox News Channel.

The move is another sign of traditional media outlets looking for ways to appeal to audiences who are no longer in the pay-TV universe. Faced with a slow but steady decline in audience levels due to competition from streaming, upstart digital operations are seen as a route to reach those consumers.

Podcasts — particularly those hosted by comedians such as Joe Rogan and Andrew Schulz — proved influential in the 2024 presidential election as more traditional news outlets felt their relevance waning.

“Ruthless” has gained a large following among men aged 18 to 45, a group that is spending less time with traditional TV, where Fox News is the most-watched cable channel and often tops broadcast networks in prime time. The podcast is regarded as the conservative answer to “Pod Save America,” the popular digital program led by four former Obama aides, which is produced by Los Angeles-based Crooked Media.

Recent “Ruthless” episodes covered anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles and Elon Musk’s proposal for a new political party.

Fox News Media has a stable of podcasts hosted by the network’s on-air talent such as Will Cain. But “Ruthless” is the first outside entity to join its digital platforms, and similar deals could follow.

Fox News has a multiyear deal with “Ruthless,” which will share in the revenue the podcast generates across the network’s various platforms. The “Ruthless” partners will retain editorial control over the podcast, although their right-leaning worldview is in keeping with other commentators on Fox News. They will also serve as Fox News contributors appearing on the TV network’s programs.

Others media giants have gotten into the more freewheeling online sphere by working with podcasters and YouTubers.

ESPN reached into the digital media space when it picked up sports commentator Pat McAfee’s program — a hit on YouTube — for its TV networks. McAfee retains control of the program, which is licensed by the Walt Disney Co. unit.

Earlier this year, Fox News parent Fox Corp. acquired Red Seat Ventures, which provides ad sales, marketing and production support for digital content creators, many of them aimed at politically conservative audiences.

There may be more such deals ahead.

The Fox News announcement follows reports that David Ellison, whose company Skydance Media has a merger agreement with Paramount Global, has engaged in talks about acquiring The Free Press, a popular digital news site launched by former New York Times opinion writer Bari Weiss.

The entity, which produces Weiss’ current affairs podcast “Honestly” and uses the independent newsletter publishing platform Substack, would operate separately from Paramount Global’s CBS News division, according to one person familiar with the discussions who was not authorized to comment publicly.

Clippers to land Bradley Beal after Suns buy out his contract

The Clippers will add scoring punch to their lineup by acquiring three-time All-Star Bradley Beal after he clears waivers following a contract buyout from the Phoenix Suns, his agent, Mark Bartelstein, confirmed to The Times.

Beal has agreed to a two-year, $11-million deal that includes a player option for the second season. He was owed $110 million over the next two seasons.

Beal, in effect, replaces Norman Powell in the Clippers’ lineup. Powell was traded in a three-team deal recently that allowed the Clippers to acquire forward John Collins.

In 13 seasons — the first 11 with the Washington Wizards and the last two with the Suns — Beal has averaged 21.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists while shooting 46.4% from the field, 37.6% from three-point range and 82.1% from the free-throw line.

Beal, though, missed 58 games because of injuries the last two seasons, when he averaged 17.6 points on 50.5% shooting, 40.7% from deep.

Electric cars will be cheaper to buy, pledges Heidi Alexander

Jennifer Meierhans

Business reporter

Watch Heidi Alexander “guarantees” electric vehicle costs will be lowered

The government will make it cheaper to buy an electric car (EV) to get more drivers to make the switch, the Transport Secretary has said.

However Heidi Alexander, nor the Department for Transport would not explicitly confirm reports in the Telegraph that the government will offer drivers thousands of pounds in grants to cut the price of buying an EV.

It was announced on Sunday that people without driveways will be able to have charge points fitted using “cross-pavement gullies” paid for with £25m allocated to councils.

The Conservatives welcomed the investment but accused the government of “forcing families” into “expensive electric vehicles before the country was ready”.

Alexander told Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg: “We are going to be making some announcements later this week on how we make it more affordable for people to buy an electric vehicle.

When pushed on whether this would come in the form of hundreds of millions of pounds in EV grants, as reports suggested, Alexander refused to say.

“I can guarantee to your viewers that we will be making it cheaper for those who do want to make the switch to an electric vehicle, ” she added.

The Department for Transport would not comment further.

It comes after Alexander told the Telegraph the high cost of electric vehicles was making people wary, saying “It was right that the government thinks in the round about what we can do to tackle both of the issues, on charging and on the upfront cost of purchase.”

Richard Fuller MP, shadow chief Secretary to the Treasury, accused Labour of “forcing families into more expensive electric vehicles before the country is ready.”

‘I don’t have an electric car’

The reports come as the government said it would invest £63m to boost charging infrastruture across the UK.

Alexander said she did not have an electric vehicle herself, adding that she lived in a terraced house without a driveway.

“I don’t have an electric car… like millions of people in this country – I bought a new car about six years ago, I’m thinking about the next car that I will purchase and it will definitely be an electric vehicle,” she said.

The average price of a new EV in the UK is nearly double the cost of a typical petrol car at £22,000.

However some electric cars made by Chinese brands are beginning to enter the UK market at as little as £18,000.

Around a fifth of new cars sold during the first half of the year were electric, according to the latest figures from the UK motor trade association the SMMT.

However, sales remain well below the mandated targets manufacturers have been set, ahead of the ban on selling new petrol and diesel cars in 2030.

In April, Alexander announced manufacturers would have more flexibility on annual targets and face lower fines to allow them to manage the impact of trade tariffs from the US.

Access to charging points are believed to be one reason holding back sales.

On Sunday, Alexander said larger EV charging hubs would be signposted from major A-roads to help drivers plug in more easily, it said.

President of the AA Edmund King said moves like this were “vital” to create confidence in the transition to EVs.

T-Mobile drops DEI program while awaiting FCC approval to buy U.S. Cellular

T-Mobile announced Friday that it intends to remove its diversity, equity and inclusion policies. The company awaits FCC approval to buy US Cellular. File Photo by Etienne Laurent/EPA

July 11 (UPI) — T-Mobile announced it will scrap its diversity, equity and inclusion policy on Friday, while it awaits Federal Communications Commission approval to buy U.S. Cellular for $4.4 million.

The company, owned by German company Deutsche Telekom, is the second-largest wireless operator in the United States. It’s trying to buy most of U.S. Cellular and Internet service provider Metronet.

“T-Mobile will no longer have any individual roles or teams focused on DEI,” the company said. “T-Mobile is also removing any references to DEI on its websites and will ensure that company websites and future communications do not have any references to DEI.”

The FCC follows an informal timeline of 180 days to review mergers. The T-Mobile/U.S. Cellular deal is on day 253.

FCC Chair Brendan Carr said on X that the move was “another good step forward for equal opportunity, nondiscrimination, and the public interest.”

In a letter to Carr, Mark W. Nelson, executive vice president and general counsel for T-Mobile U.S., said, “Our belief then and now is that skills, aptitude, and a growth mindset are what contribute to exceptional performance — and that merit is how you advance at our company, regardless of who you are or where you’re from. Equality of opportunity, performance-based rewards, and ensuring we’re a place where everyone can win as ‘One Team, Together’ — that’s what we intended through some of our practices that were labeled as ‘DEI.'”

The letter said the company reviewed its policies and is “ending its DEI-related policies as described below, not just in name, but in substance.”

The letter goes on to list the different areas T-Mobile is making changes, including:

  • Leadership and public messaging
  • Hiring and recruitment
  • Career development, mentorship and training
  • Supplier and vendor diversity, corporate sponsorships and memberships
  • Employee resource groups

Carr has told Bloomberg News that “any businesses that are looking for FCC approval, I would encourage them to get busy ending any sort of their invidious forms of DEI discrimination.”

Anna M. Gomez, a member of the FCC, disparaged T-Mobile’s decision on X: “In yet another cynical bid to win FCC regulatory approval, T-Mobile is making a mockery of its professed commitment to eliminating discrimination, promoting fairness, and amplifying underrepresented voices,” Gomez said. “History will not be kind to this cowardly corporate capitulation.”

Many companies and organizations have backed off their DEI programs to curry favor with the administration of President Donald Trump. Thursday, the Department of Education launched an investigation against George Mason University and its hiring practices. If the agency determines that the university violated the staff’s civil rights, GMU could lose federal funding.

Gareth Bale confirms consortium’s ‘brand new offer’ to buy Cardiff City

It is thought Malaysian businessman Tan has little interest in selling Cardiff – the club he has invested £200m-plus into since buying in 2010.

Bale recently confirmed it would be “a dream come true” to purchase the Bluebirds, outlining his desire to take the club to the Premier League.

Speaking to Sky Sports in June, he said: “We’ve been speaking about it (a takeover), trying to engage with Cardiff but more news will come out on that in the future but hopefully we can get something done.”

The 35-year-old was heavily linked with a move to the Cardiff City Stadium prior to joining Los Angeles in the summer of 2022.

Bale went on to help the Major League Soccer side win the MLS Cup by scoring a last-minute equaliser in extra time of the final as LA went on to beat Philadelphia Union on penalties.

He featured in each of his country’s group stage matches against the USA, Iran and England at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar before retiring from football in January 2023.

Cardiff – now led by former Manchester City Elite Development Squad boss Brian Barry-Murphy – are preparing for a first campaign in the third tier since 2002-03 having finished bottom of the Championship last season.

The Bluebirds have not commented on the Bale-led consortium’s approaches to buy the club.

Livvy Dunne tried to buy Babe Ruth’s home; co-op board said no

Gymnast and social media influencer Olivia Dunne was all set to buy her first home. And it wasn’t just any home.

Dunne had a contract in place to buy a $1.6-million apartment that was once owned by baseball great Babe Ruth on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

But it ended up not being a Dunne deal.

The recent Louisiana State graduate known to her fans as “Livvy” won’t be moving into the former digs of the player known to fans as “the Bambino,” because the building’s co-op board rejected her application.

In a video posted to TikTok on Tuesday, Dunne told her 8 million followers that she is “so upset” after coming so close to residing in the same seventh-floor apartment where the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox legend is said to have lived from 1929 to 1940.

“It was Babe Ruth’s apartment,” said Dunne, who grew up less than an hour away in Hillside, N.J. “So naturally, like, I’m telling everybody. I’m excited. I was gonna buy it and I was gonna pay with cash, like I wanted this apartment bad.”

The 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model said her real estate agent “was so confident” the deal would go through that she brought boyfriend Paul Skenes, the Pittsburgh Pirates’ All-Star pitcher and 2024 National League rookie of the year, to see the place.

“I got an interior designer because I didn’t want to bring my college furniture to Babe Ruth’s apartment — that would be like, criminal,” Dunne said. “Then the week that I’m supposed to get my keys to my brand new apartment, I get a call. The co-op board denied me.”

The listing agent confirmed to The Times that Dunne had made an offer on the property that was accepted by the seller and, as the final step in the process, turned in an application for the purchase for the co-op board’s approval. The board rejected that application about three weeks ago, the agent said.

No explanation was given for the rejection, although Dunne has her theories.

“For all I know, they could have been Alabama fans and I went to LSU,” she joked. “I have no clue. Maybe they didn’t want a public figure living there. But I was literally supposed to get the keys, and that week they denied me.”

She added: “Long story short, don’t try to live in a co-op. You might get denied and you won’t get Babe Ruth’s apartment.”

I was dreading my baby’s first flight but a 45p buy kept her occupied for 3 HOURS & made zero mess, it’s genius

A FIRST-TIME mum dreading flying with her baby daughter has shared how she got through it without any tears

Lala, from Germany, took to social media to share her genius parenting hack just in time for any summer holidays you have planned.

And the best part is that the travel hack costs just 45p.

In the clip, Lala and her partner could be seen boarding the plane with their baby asleep in her mum’s arms.

She said: “This was her very first flight and we timed it perfectly with her nap. She slept right through takeoff but eventually she woke up.”

So how did the parents keep her entertained for the three hour flight? Lettuce.

READ MORE PARENTING HACKS

Lala said they often give their tot lettuce when they’re trying to eat in peace, so decided to try it on the plane.

“It always keeps her occupied for so long. And I thought, if it works at home, why would it not work on a plane?” she explained.

Like most kids, her daughter was obsessed with tearing things up and trying to put them in her mouth.

“Like bread, paper, tissue, anything. But bread is way too messy, like there are crumbs everywhere,” she explained. And with paper or tissue, we always have to keep an eye on her that she doesn’t eat it. But lettuce?

“Lettuce is genius. It has a really fun texture and it’s not messy at all. And it’s safe if she decides to munch on it. Not just safe, but it’s actually a really refreshing and healthy snack for her.”

“This kept her occupied almost the entire flight.”

I tested the viral £17.99 Amazon underseat cabin bag to see how many outfits I could fit in

While Lala’s easy travel hack was worth giving a go, it’s worth noting that some airlines may not let you bring it on, depending on what country you are flying to.

Others may not let you bring it into the country when you land so you’ll have to chuck it away.

But that won’t matter too much as the hack costs just 45p as two heads of lettuce cost 90p from Waitrose.

The clip quickly went viral on her TikTok account @lalaleluu with over 1.7 million views and 267k likes.

Plenty of parents took to the comments thanking her for the advice.

One person wrote: “Wow this is genius. About to take my baby on her first flight alone and I might try this.”

How to make travelling with kids a breeze

IT can be stressful travelling with kids, but there are a few things you can do to make it easier. Here’s five we’d recommend:

Snacks

It might sound simple, but it’s a good idea to pack a LOT of snacks. Think of how much you might need, and double it. After all, it doesn’t matter if you have too much – your kids can eat it another time – but it will be a big issue if you run out. There are also snack boxes with lots of little dividers that are great for long journeys as kids can pick at those throughout.

Entertainment

This covers a whole range of things – from a tablet to watch films or play games if you’ve got older kids, to books and colouring. It’s advisable to pack a variety of options, especially if you’re on a long journey or have various legs on your haul.

Toys

If you’ve got a baby or a toddler, there are some sensory-type toys you can buy that can really help keep little ones entertained. These include ones that you stick on the windows of a plane, or on a tray on a highchair, that they can spin and play with to their hearts’ content.

Equipment

There are a whole host of things on the market that aim to make sleeping on a plane loads easier. These include a hammock that you can attack to your tray which hangs down to put your feet on. You can also get blow up cushions to turn a seat into a bed for littles, and neck cushions that boast you will be able to use for a decent night’s sleep wherever you are.

Yourselves!

Don’t underestimate how entertaining you are to your kids. Learn some games you can play with them, and songs you can sing, as kids always love the opportunity to have one-on-one time with their parents.

Another commented: “I have a 14 hour flight with my baby next month. I’ll just bring a whole field.”

“You, Lala, have just unlocked a whole new toy for all of us mums out there thank you,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “This is some next level parenting!! Bravo!!”

“Genius idea,” claimed a fifth

Someone else added: “This is such a good idea!!”

Trump reveals group of ‘wealthy people’ wants to buy TikTok in U.S.

June 29 (UPI) — President Donald Trump said a group of “very wealthy people” wants to buy the Chinese-owned TikTok social media app that is facing a ban in the United States.

During an interview Friday with Maria Bartiromo that appeared Sunday on Fox News, Trump said, “We have a buyer for TikTok, by the way,” declining to name the potential buyers.

“I’ll tell you in about two weeks,” he added.

The president said he believes Chinese President Xi Jinping “will probably” approve the deal for U.S. ownership of the video service, which was founded in September 2016.

President Joe Biden signed a law in 2024 requiring TikTok to be blocked in the United States unless its parent company, ByteDance, sold it to a non-Chinese company over concerns that sensitive user data could be acquired by the Chinese government.

The U.S. Supreme Court voted unanimously on Jan. 17 that TikTok must be banned from U.S. app stores unless the company divested from the platform and sold to an American company by Jan. 19.

Biden said he didn’t want to intervene in the final days of his presidency, the app went dark around 10:30 p.m. ET on Jan. 18 and the app ceased to appear on Apple and Google‘s app stores.

The 170 million U.S. users and around 1 million creators lost access to the app for at least one day of the 23 million new videos uploaded daily. Those using the app spend about an hour a day looking at some of the 23 million new clips uploaded daily, with teens using it for 2-3 hours a day, according to Exploding Topics.

But the next day, the company restored service after Donald Trump said he would pause the deadline for 75 days when he was sworn in as president on Jan. 20, and signed an executive order to do so on his first day in office. He has since pushed off the deadline two more times, with it now delayed until Sept. 17.

In April, the White House said it was close to a deal in which 50% of the app would be owned by an American company. Negotiations ended when Trump announced tariffs on goods coming from China to the United States. Trump proposed 134% tariffs on most goods but it has been scaled back to 30% for some items exempt.

During his first presidency, on Aug. 6, 2020, Trump signed an executive order “action must be taken to address the threat posed by one mobile application in particular, TikTok” from China.

Trump later credited TikTok with gaining more young voters in the 2024 election and seemed to soften on his stance. ByteDance has also been reluctant to turn over rights to the app’s algorithm.

It is the fifth-most social network with 1.6 billion users in the world behind Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and WhatsApp, according to Statistica.

In April, Adweek compiled a list of suitors for U.S. rights, including Applovin, Amazon, Oracle, Blackstone and Andreessen Horowitz. None confirmed negotiations to Addwek.

“It does not feel like these are serious bids for TikTok,” David Arslanian, managing director of Progress Partners, told Adweek. “It is hard to imagine any of these companies, like Amazon and Oracle, successfully operating just a piece of TikTok.”

Best Crypto to Buy Now: 5 Top Picks for the Next 1000x Crypto

Bullish sentiment has returned to the crypto market in the past 24 hours. With Donald Trump announcing a ceasefire in the Middle East, as well as the United States Federal Reserve retracting its “reputational risk” scrutiny, which had previously blocked banking access for crypto firms, crypto prices are surging.

Bitcoin has gained 3% today, Ethereum is up 6%, XRP 8%, and Solana 7%. However, as seasoned investors are well aware, the biggest gains often come from under-the-radar low-cap altcoins.

Pick the right one, and there is an opportunity for life-changing wealth. It’s not uncommon for projects to yield 1,000x gains in a bull market. Let’s explore 5 top picks that could prove to be the best cryptos to buy now.

BTC Bull Token

BTC Bull Token is the new Bitcoin-themed meme coin with a twist: it’ll be the first-ever cryptocurrency to pay its holders real Bitcoin rewards.

The project will track Bitcoin’s price and run airdrops at key milestones. The first will be when it reaches $150,000, and there will be another at $200,000. There will also be a $BTCBULL airdrop when the price reaches $250,000.

It’s no secret that meme coins can yield huge returns in bullish periods. Some even form cult-like communities that insist on not selling. But what if a community was incentivized not to sell with real Bitcoin rewards?

It’s never been done before, so we don’t know the outcome, but there may be no willing sellers, and then incoming demand would drive the price up significantly.

BTC Bull Token is currently undergoing a presale and has raised $7.3 million to date, showing incredible investor appeal.

However, the presale will end in six days, and then $BTCBULL will list on exchanges. It’s at that point that the price could explode. Visit BTC Bull Token.

Snorter

Snorter is the new meme coin trading bot that could help its users find the next 10x-1,000x trade. But as the platform’s native token, it might just be $SNORT itself that yields the biggest gains.

It’s like the investment adage that those who sold picks and shovels made more than those who mined for the gold themselves during the US gold rush era.

That said, Snorter offers powerful features that help its users identify profitable trades. Automated token sniping, copy trading, dynamic stop-losses, rug-pull detection, and advanced charting are all available.

The project is built on Telegram and supports Solana, Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, and Base – all the top chains for meme coin opportunities.

Currently, the project is in the early stages of its presale, having raised $1.2 million to date. The combination of a powerful use case and early stage could well send Snorter to up to 1,000x higher this year. Visit Snorter.

Useless Coin

Useless Coin is a trending meme coin created on Solana meme coin launchpad Bonk.fun.

Bonk.fun was launched in April 2025 and has direct ties to Bonk. It operates a Bonk buyback scheme using platform revenue. This creates a direct incentive for Bonk community members to support the app.

Currently, Useless Coin is the top meme coin to emerge from Bonk.fun.

It has also been picked up by top Bonk community member Bonk guy, who believes it’s poised for substantial gains. He nodded to metrics such as steady growth in holders, rising trading volume, and the fact that whales and smart money are investing.

Bonk.fun is a direct competitor to Pump.fun. Currently, Fartcoin is the top meme coin to emerge on Pump.fun, having reached a market cap of over $2 billion at its peak. Meanwhile, Useless Coin is worth just $120 million.

If the bull market continues and Bonk.fun surpasses Pump.fun’s adoption due to its ties to Bonk, we could well see its top meme coin (Useless Coin) surpass Pump.fun’s top meme coin.

CreatorBid

CreatorBid is a new AI crypto that allows users to create and tokenize AI agents in just one minute. The AI agents are social media personas that can create content, interact with other accounts, and generate revenue for their creators.

It’s a multichain project operating on the BSC and Base chains. The $BID token offers benefits, including a 2% sell tax on certain trades, as well as utilities such as endorsing agents, staking, and paying for platform services.

CreatorBid is currently trading at $0.12 with a $34 million. It’s the best-performing AI cryptocurrency this week with a 58% pump, signifying that it has momentum on its side.

The project recently launched its Launchpad V2. One of its new features is project screening, which means users must lock $BID to vote on which agents should be approved to launch on the platform.

CreatorBid has a unique use case that lands somewhere between Pump.fun and Virtuals Protocol. It’s for that reason that it could have real potential this year.

Bitcoin Hyper

What happens when Bitcoin’s security meets Solana’s speed and programmability? You get Bitcoin Hyper – the Bitcoin layer 2 blockchain built using the Solana Virtual Machine.

It’s fast and supports smart contracts like Solana. It’s even interoperable with Solana and Ethereum tokens and apps. Yet, it reports transactions back to Bitcoin for finality, providing users with the same security and permanence as if they had transacted directly on the Bitcoin layer 1 chain.

Something else is that the project currently offers huge staking rewards at 498%. However, these rewards will decrease as the staking pool grows.

Bitcoin Hyper is currently undergoing a presale and has raised $1.5 million in under three weeks, showing massive early momentum.

As the word spreads about its promising use case, there is every chance that the $HYPER price will explode. Visit Bitcoin Hyper.

ChatGPT Predicts the 5 Best Crypto to Buy for Q3

Next quarter could be an opportunity to make serious money if you’re willing to look beyond the usual altcoin plays. We’ve highlighted five projects that ChatGPT thinks are about to take off – each with catalysts in the works and upside potential that goes far beyond BTC and ETH.

Here’s the AI model’s picks for the best cryptos to buy in Q3:

1. Story (IP)

ChatGPT thinks Story (IP) is building something we’ll all need eventually: a proper system for determining ownership in the age of AI. Think about it – when AI agents are churning out content 24/7, someone needs to track the rights and royalties. That’s precisely what Story does.

Currently, IP is trading at around $3.09, which is 58% below its February all-time high of $7.33. But something has just caught ChatGPT’s attention: two whale wallets purchased 16 million IP tokens for $47.5 million. That kind of accumulation is a bullish signal.

What’s also interesting is Story’s Agent TCP/IP framework. This framework lets AI agents trade IP rights automatically – no humans required. So, as AI content explodes everywhere, ChatGPT believes that having a trusted blockchain for this stuff is essential, and Story is the first mover.

2. Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER)

ChatGPT identified Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER) as targeting Bitcoin’s biggest weakness: its slow and expensive nature. They’re building a Layer-2 network that uses Solana’s tech to get sub-second transactions while keeping Bitcoin’s security model intact.

Since mid-May, Bitcoin Hyper has raised $1.5 million in presale. Currently, HYPER tokens are priced at $0.012 each. Plus, the team is offering 504% staking yields for early supporters – and more than 104 million HYPER have been locked up already.

ChatGPT notes that timing matters here. Bitcoin’s been trading above $100,000 for weeks, with regulatory conditions looking positive. That means everyone’s looking for scalable Bitcoin solutions. Lightning Network exists, but it doesn’t do smart contracts or cross-chain tasks like Bitcoin Hyper promises.

Analysts like Cilinix Crypto are bullish on HYPER. And ChatGPT suggests that if Bitcoin stays strong and the team delivers what they’re promising, presale investors could cash in big. Visit Bitcoin Hyper Presale.

3. Hyperliquid (HYPE)

ChatGPT flagged a problem that has bugged traders for years: why does DeFi trading still feel clunky compared to platforms like Binance or Coinbase? Hyperliquid (HYPE) has solved this issue. They built a Layer-1 that delivers real on-chain order books with the speed and features you’d expect from a CEX.

The tokenomics are what ChatGPT found fascinating. Hyperliquid captures 97% of all trading revenue and uses it to repurchase HYPE tokens. There’s been over $1 billion in buybacks already. More volume means more revenue – which means more buybacks.

ChatGPT highlighted that the developers airdropped HYPE to 100,000 early users with zero VC money involved. Plus, there are only 334 million tokens in circulation out of the 1 billion supply. That’s a good sign – fewer tokens are available on the open market, so sustained volume could lead to another massive rally soon.

4. Snorter (SNORT)

ChatGPT sees Snorter (SNORT) as what happens when someone builds proper infrastructure for a meme coin project. It’s a Telegram trading bot that automates everything – sniping new tokens, detecting rug pulls, copy trading, and portfolio tracking. It’s built on Solana but has multi-chain expansion planned.

ChatGPT emphasized not to mistake this for just another silly meme coin. You need SNORT tokens to access the bot’s features, plus you get enormous staking rewards, governance rights, and fee discounts. Snorter’s presale has raised over $1.1 million so far, with tokens priced at $0.0959.

What ChatGPT also found notable is the infrastructure angle. As meme coin trading gets more intense, automation becomes essential. The bot delivers sub-second Solana execution and MEV protection – all inside Telegram, where meme coin communities live.

The full bot launch is coming soon, followed by expansion to Ethereum and other chains, ultimately leading to DAO governance. Analysts like Apex Syndicate think SNORT could 100x thanks to these plans. So, if you’re seeking a meme coin with real substance, Snorter is worth a look. Visit Snorter Presale.

5. Sei (SEI)

ChatGPT picked Sei (SEI) for building itself to be the fastest Layer-1 blockchain out there, with sub-400 millisecond finality. Most chains feel sluggish compared to this. They use Cosmos SDK with their own “Twin-Turbo” consensus, specifically designed for high-frequency trading and gaming where speed matters.

Sei’s growth numbers are what impressed ChatGPT. TVL went from $85 million last August to $500 million at the time of writing. And earlier this month, it reached a peak of $553 million. Also, Sei is processing over 30 million transactions weekly now – that’s more than XRP.

ChatGPT also highlighted Sei’s upcoming Giga Engine launch as a big catalyst. The May testnet showed they can handle over five gigagas per second. That’s enterprise-level performance for DEXs and games that need instant execution – making Sei one of the best cryptos to buy for Q3.

UK to buy 12 F-35A fighter jets capable of carrying nuclear weapons | News

Downing Street says the purchase will be the ‘biggest strengthening of the UK’s nuclear posture in a generation’.

The United Kingdom plans to buy at least a dozen F-35A fighter jets capable of carrying tactical nuclear weapons, in what will be the “biggest strengthening of the UK’s nuclear posture in a generation”, Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s office says.

Starmer will make an announcement about the purchase, which will allow the UK’s air force to carry nuclear weapons for the first time since the end of the Cold War, at the NATO summit in The Hague on Wednesday, where NATO leaders are expected to approve a major boost to their defence spending.

The UK’s nuclear deterrence capability is currently limited to submarine-launched missiles.

“In an era of radical uncertainty we can no longer take peace for granted, which is why my government is investing in our national security,” Starmer said in a statement.

“These F35 dual-capable aircraft will herald a new era for our world-leading Royal Air Force and deter hostile threats that threaten the UK and our Allies.”

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte said in the statement that he strongly welcomed the announcement, describing it as “yet another robust British contribution to NATO”.

‘Dual-capable’ fighter jets

The F-35A, produced by United States company Lockheed Martin, is similar to the F-35B currently used by the UK air force, but can carry nuclear bombs in addition to conventional weapons.

Seven NATO members, including the US, Germany and Italy, already have dual-capable planes on European territory capable of carrying the same US B61 nuclear warheads that the UK will likely carry, the AFP news agency reported.

The aircraft would be deployed as NATO’s nuclear dual-capable aircraft mission, strengthening the alliance’s nuclear deterrence posture, Downing Street said.

The new jets would be based at the Marham airbase, with the acquisition of the planes expected to support 20,000 jobs in the UK, the statement said, as 15 percent of the global supply chain for the jets is based in the country.

Europe re-arms

NATO’s 32 members are expected to approve a major hike in targets for the defence spending, from 2 percent to 5 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), at the summit in The Hague.

The UK has already committed to meeting the spending target, and has announced major investments in building new attack submarines and munitions factories.

The boost in defence budgets follows criticism from the Trump administration, which says the US carries too much of the alliance’s financial burden. US President Donald Trump has questioned whether the alliance should defend countries that fail to meet the spending targets, and has even threatened to leave the bloc.

Other countries have also signalled they are making major investments in their militaries in response to the threat posed by Russia, with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz saying Tuesday that Germany would increase spending to become “Europe’s strongest conventional army”.

Crypto Prices Tumble as Iran-Israel Conflict Escalates: Best Coins to Buy on the Dip

Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that Iran’s leader is an “easy target,” sending jitters through risk markets such as cryptocurrencies on Tuesday.

“We don’t want missiles shot at civilians or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” He added. Trump also called for Iran’s “unconditional surrender.”

The market has reacted negatively to the news. Bitcoin is down 1.7% at $105,000, Ethereum is down 2.2% at $2,500, and the total cryptocurrency market cap has dropped 1.3%. Some altcoins, such as Virtuals Protocol, IP, and Pudgy Penguins, are down over 7%.

However, seasoned investors are well aware that dips caused by geopolitical escalations often recover quickly. Put differently, the current low prices could mark a lucrative trading opportunity for investors. But what are the best coins to buy on the dip?

Snorter

Over 26,000 tokens launched on Pump.fun alone yesterday. Thousands more would have been created on other crypto launchpads and decentralized exchanges. For the solo crypto trader relying on manual research, keeping track of new trends and opportunities is almost impossible.

That’s why the crypto trader bot sector is growing fast – and it’s why Snorter might be the best coin to buy on the dip. It’s a powerful Telegram-based trading bot that offers automated token sniping, copy trading, dynamic stop-losses, and rug-pull detection.

It supports Solana, Ethereum, BSC, Base, and Polygon, so you won’t miss an opportunity no matter where it launches.

The project is undergoing a presale and has raised $1 million in its opening three weeks.

This early success suggests genuine market interest, which could ultimately lead to long-term gains. Visit Snorter.

Bitcoin Hyper

Bitcoin Hyper is the new Bitcoin layer 2 blockchain built using the Solana Virtual Machine. Bitcoin’s security and Solana’s speed and programmability – that’s Bitcoin Hyper.

One of the most popular crypto sectors is meme coins, but Bitcoin’s meme coin ecosystem is relatively thin, especially considering its $2 trillion market cap. Bitcoin Hyper offers smart contract functionality and a seamless developer environment – alongside low fees and high speeds – hoping to cultivate a new meme coin ecosystem on Bitcoin.

The project also features a staking mechanism, which currently offers a 554% APY. However, this will decrease as the staking pool grows.

Bitcoin Hyper is also undergoing a presale and has raised $1.3 million so far.

With a strong use case, clear market interest, and lucrative staking rewards, it’d be no surprise if $HYPER skyrockets after hitting exchanges. Visit Bitcoin Hyper.

Fartcoin

Fartcoin is a Solana-based meme coin that launched on Pump.fun in Q4 of 2024 and quickly went viral. It peaked in January 2025, and then, after a deep selloff in line with the market-wide crash, it has risen once again.

It now trades at $1.10 with a $1.1 billion market capitalization and a $245 million 24-hour trading volume.

The project soared approximately 7x from its March lows to its local peak in April, massively outpacing most other meme coins.

Since its inception, Fartcoin has consistently outpaced the market average when conditions are bullish. So with prices currently on a dip, this could prove an opportune time to buy.

AB

AB is in an interesting spot. While most cryptocurrencies have dipped this week, AB is up 37%.

The project focuses on blockchain interoperability. It enables users to transfer assets between Ethereum, Solana, and other networks using the AB Connect protocol, and it also features a sidechain for the Internet of Things (IoT) and a main network for decentralized applications.

Like Bitcoin Hyper, its focus on cross-chain interoperability helps it stand out, and this has even caught the eye of Binance.

On June 7, AB was listed on Binance Alpha, a Binance Wallet feature that enables easy buying. This created a liquidity boon for AB, but the real benefit may still be to come. That’s because Binance says that projects listed on Binance Alpha are shortlisted to receive a listing on the main Binance exchange.

Best Wallet Token

Best Wallet Token is a new cryptocurrency that’s gaining popularity. As its name suggests, it powers a crypto wallet.

The wallet is called Best Wallet, and it boasts over 500,000 users. It stands out for its wide range of features and multi-chain support, allowing users to store cryptocurrencies from Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Cardano, Solana, and many more networks.

Some of Best Wallet’s features include a cross-chain DEX, a presale aggregator, a derivatives exchange, a staking aggregator, and an NFT gallery.

Users can get more out of the wallet by holding $BEST. It unlocks trading fee discounts, higher staking yields, governance rights, and access to promotions on partner projects.

It’s undergoing a presale and has raised over $13 million.

Best Wallet’s features go well beyond those of competitors like MetaMask and Phantom, yet they’re worth billions of dollars. In other words, $BEST has explosive potential. Visit Best Wallet Token.

Best time to buy Euros for your summer holiday revealed plus how you can save £100s

BRITS jetting off to Europe for their summer holidays could risk losing cash if they pick the wrong time to buy the currency.

When heading abroad, it is not uncommon for many holiday-goers to exchange cash into the currency of the country they are travelling to.

Stacks of euro coins on euro banknotes.

1

Brits risk losing money when converting sterling into eurosCredit: Getty

But when you convert cash from one currency to another, you could end up getting more money in exchange or in some instances less.

Factors such as inflation and the economic stability of a country can impact how much a currency is worth.

Currently, the Great British Pound (GBP) is worth more than the Euro, a popular holiday destination for many Brits.

So for example, if you had £100 and exchanged it you would get €116 in return.

While UK holiday goers currently get more money back when they swap their cash for Euros, returns have been better in previous years.

Back in 2024, £1 was worth €1.18.

Tony Redondo, founder of Cosomos Currency Exchange told The Sun that factors such as “soft UK economic data” and “rising geo-political tensions” is pushing the Pound to Euro exchange rate lower.

Inflation fell to 3.4% in the 12 months to May, raising expectations the Bank of England could cut interest rates tomorrow, June 19.

This can lower the value of the Pound as investors seek to get higher returns elsewhere.

With this in mind, Tony said that holiday goers heading to Europe before the end of the month, should buy Euros “soon”.

Understanding GDP and Its Impact on the Economy

He said: “It might be best to buy soon to protect from any further possible downside.”

But the money expert said that those not travelling until the end of school holidays have no need to panic.

He said: “A calculated gamble would be to wait it out as the world moves at such a pace nowadays, that hopefully, the Pound has time to recover.

“After all, in 17 out of the last 20 years, the Pound has gone up in value against the Euro in either July or August. “

It is worth noting that exchange rates can go up and down, so it is worth checking online currency converters to see how much you can get.

MORE HOLIDAY MONEY HACKS

When heading abroad there are a few hacks to ensure you don’t end up losing money.

Customers should avoid exchanging money at the airport as they tend to have higher fees due as they cater to a captive market.

Kara Gammell, personal finance expert at MoneySuperMarket, said: “If you have a holiday booked and want to make the most of current rates.

“Don’t wait to buy your travel money at the airport as you will pay a premium – and never pay for your currency with a credit card as paying on plastic means you’ll be charged a ‘cash advance fee’.

This fee is charged on ATM withdrawals but also on transactions such as online gambling and buying foreign currency.

You should also be aware that banks tend to charge customers a fee for using their debit or credit card abroad.

For example, NatWest charges customers a 2.75% fee for spending your debit card abroad.

That would add a £1.16 charge to the cost of a jacket which cost £42.16.

But some banks don’t charge you for spending abroad.

For example, Monzo does not charge its customers foreign transaction fees nor does First Direct.

Are there other options to for spending abroad?

There are several specialist cards that can give you a great exchange rate.

These cards include travel credit cards and pre-paid cards which can let you pay abroad without fees or at a set exchange rate.

Senior Consumer Reporter Olivia Marshall explains all the options.

Travel credit cards: Travel credit cards allow you to spend money abroad without being hit by any fees or hidden charges.

But, they may still charge you for taking cash out.

We recommend the Halifax’s Clarity Card as it won’t charge you for using it abroad, nor are there any fees for withdrawing cash.

But you will be charged interest if you don’t repay your balance in full at a rate of 19.9 per cent.

And you will be charged interest on cash withdrawals until your balance is paid off too, at a rate of between 19.9 and 27.95 per cent depending on your credit score.

In other words, just because you are using plastic abroad doesn’t mean you don’t have to pay these credit cards off like you normally would.

Always pay off your balance before the end of the month with these cards to make sure that any money you saved isn’t wiped away by paying interest.

For more on travel credit cards you can read our guide here.

Pre-paid cards: An alternative to carrying cash around is to get a pre-paid card.

These cards allow you to put a set amount of cash on the card at a fixed exchange rate.

So if the rate is good at the moment, you can put money on your card and it will stay that rate when you are on holiday.

Just keep in mind that these cards can sometimes have hidden costs and charges so be sure to read the small print.

Mould covered the bathroom of my new home – I felt sick but banished it in minutes with a single buy, it’s the best

BANISHING mould from your home can feel like a never-ending chore.

From constant bleaching to pricey products that don’t work, there’s loads of stuff out there, but more often than not the mould returns.

She said it’s better than anything else she’s tried to banish mould for goodCredit: Instagram

That was cleaning whizz Nicola’s experience until she discovered a product that actually works and stops mould from coming back.

Taking to Instagram, Nicole explained how the Mould Magic gel worked wonders in her new home.

“If you haven’t seen this before you need to get some, it works on so many different surfaces but I used it mainly on grout in the bathroom,” Nicola explained.

In the viral clip she showed what the bathroom looked like when she first moved in, and sure enough the walls were covered in mould.

The formula is especially easy to apply because it comes in a tube with a nozzle designed to get into those hard to reach places.

Not only that, but according to Nicola the formula is also non-drip, so you don’t have to worry about it slipping and sliding away.

After a couple of hours the product can then be wiped away, leaving your bathroom mould free.

“The mould never comes back,” the cleaning whizz added.

Unsurprisingly, fellow cleaning fans were wowed by the before and after snaps of the bathroom.

One commented on the clip: “It’s brilliant for washing machines too.”

Our home is so mouldy mushrooms and flies infest walls – it’s making us sick

“Oo, thanks I’ll be getting this,” another said.

“Omg we recently got mould in out shower and it’s right in the grout so this will be great,” a third chimed in.

Meanwhile, others wanted to know if the product would work on painted walls and Nicola revealed she’d tried Mould Magic there too and was impressed with the results.

Use household items

If it’s too late, and any condensation has had a chance to flourish and turn into mould, you can start removing it for nothing.

Natalie, from Which?, said: “A few drops of washing up liquid mixed with warm water can work on smaller areas of mould on hard surfaces like walls or floors.

“Use a sponge, cloth, or brush to work the soapy solution in small circular motions over the mould.

“If you’re trying to remove particularly stubborn mould, try a 1:1 solution of white vinegar and warm water and pour it into a spray bottle to target the affected area.”

If you’ve got a bit more in your budget, you can try buying mould or mildew remover from your nearest supermarket or retailer.

You can get it as cheap as £1.20 from B&M or £2.50 from Dunelm, at the time of writing.

Call in the professionals

You can usually treat smaller patches of mould yourself, but if the problem has gotten out of hand, you might need to call someone in.

Natalie said: “If you find new mould growing quickly in other areas of your home, or the affected area becomes too large to handle, it may be time to get professional help.”

Checkatrade says it costs £25-£35 per hour or £200-£400 per room to call someone in for mould removal.

Meanwhile if you want a specialist to come and take a look to inspect for any mould, that will cost you around £50-£300.

What is mould and how to get rid of it?

Mould is more likely to grow during the winter months.

Olivia Young, Product Development Scientist at Astonish revealed exactly why this is.

“Unfortunately, mould is a common problem many people face during winter. It thrives in conditions that are warm and damp, so your bathrooms are likely to be the most affected place.

“That said, during the colder months most rooms in your home could be vulnerable to mould growing.

“This occurs primarily from condensation that builds up on your windows when you’ve got your radiators on.

“If you think about it, when windows and doors are closed, there’s not much chance for the air to circulate and the moisture to make a swift exit.

“This build up is what can cause dreaded mould to make an appearance, especially in bathrooms, as it creates that warm and wet environment that is a breeding ground for mould.

“If left untreated, not only is it unsightly but it can also pose a serious risk to your health, so it’s really important you treat it.

“The key to tackle mould is to act fast.

“Try to come into as little contact with it as you can. So, grab your gloves, tie up your hair and get to work to remove any signs of mould as soon as you notice them.

“To keep mould at bay, there are some simple solutions you can introduce throughout home.

“The first is keep it ventilated. Yes, even in the cold winter months try to leave your bathroom window open for at least 10/15 minutes post shower or bath. This will get rid of any excess moisture quickly preventing mould gathering.

“If you’re having a repeat problem with mould in one particular area, it might be because the humidity levels are too high. You can get a dehumidifier that will help keep the levels low and reduce the risk of mould returning.

“The golden rule to remember when dealing with mould is the quicker you can treat it, the better. If you leave it, it will only get worse so never ignore it!

“To successfully get rid of mould every time, I recommend opting for the UK’s No 1 Mould & Mildew Remover, that effectively removes mould and mildew stains almost instantly, with no scrubbing necessary.”
