- The US FDA has approved Alcon’s (ALC) Brytly (apraclonidine opthalmic solutions) over-the-counter eye drops.
- The company said that a single trops provides 12 hours of redness relief and lasts 50% longer than rival Bausch + Lomb’s (BLCO) Lumify (brimonidine tartrate optholamic solutions) drops.
- Studies also found Brytly is associated with a low risk of redness rebound and tachyphylaxis.
