A SPRAWLING new bounce house dubbed the “world’s biggest” has opened in a major UK city – and it’s just in time for the school holidays.

This is the first time the attraction has made an appearance in the country.

The world’s biggest bounce house, Mega Bounce, debuted in Brentwood Village, Essex, on July 18, and is set to remain open until August 31.

The sprawling new site spans more than 270,000 sq ft and features obstacle zones, giant characters, dedicated bounce areas and inflatable slides – all in one location.

This marks the touring attraction’s first appearance in the UK, having initially launched in Dubai more than 10 years ago.

Guests can enjoy unlimited access to Mega Bounce during 60-minute slots, with an all ages session running from 11am to 7pm everyday, complete with party music, DJs and festival-style food.

For those wanting a more relaxing experience, a quiet session will also be offered between 10am to 11am, featuring a lower-capacity environment without music or announcements.

Lastly, for adults wanting to escape the kids, Mega Bounce will also host 18+ slots from 7pm to 9pm, with a bar offering a full range alcoholic drinks.

Josef O’Sullivan, centre director at Braintree Village, said: “We are thrilled to unveil a first look at the Mega Bounce making its UK debut, right here at Braintree Village.

“Feedback from last night’s media preview was overwhelmingly positive, with guests describing Mega Bounce as a standout attraction that brings something genuinely fresh and unmissable to Essex this summer.”

General admission tickets are priced at £18 each, although a booking fee is payable per ticket.

Children must also be at least one meter tall to join in on the fun, and aged five years or above.

In just over a month, the Centrale’s multi-storey rooftop will transform into a ‘lively urban seaside escape’ just in time for summer.

The event is returning for its third year in a row from August 7-31 and will be ‘bigger than ever’.

It’s open seven-days a week and is completely free to enter.

There’s lots to entertain the entire family from its giant sand pit, splash park with spaces for babies, life-size chess, fairground rides and chill-out areas with shaded seating.

When it’s time to eat, there are street food vans and sweet treat stops too for donuts and candy floss.

This summer there is something new as it is launching a new experience called ‘The Beach Club’.

It’s an adult-only event with an ‘after-hours programme’ taking place every Thursday between 5-8PM for the entire month.

There will be DJs, live music and plenty of cocktails.

The Beach Club will have a different theme every evening too with events like garage DJ nights, drag-hosted lip sync battles and pre-carnival dance acts.

There will also be more relaxed sip & paint sessions to music bingo.

“Over the last two years it’s become a real summer focal point for the community, with families returning time and time again.

While the experience is completely free to enter – it’s advised to book in advance to save a space and avoid disappointment.

IF you’re looking to escape the heat, there is a huge new indoor attraction that is the first of its kind in Europe.

Slick City in Nottingham opened earlier this year, with everything from slides to coasters.

For example, you could head on Royal Flush, where you’ll head down a sheer drop before being whizzed around a massive bowl – just like the motion of a flushing toilet.

Then there is Fast Lane, which is ideal for competitive families as it is a four-lane slide.

On Hyperloop, you’ll head through a number of twists and turns.

The attraction is the first Slick City in Europe and is also home to the world’s first UV AirGlider – a gravity-powered aerial coaster that creates the feeling of flying.

In between trying out the slides, visitors can test out the interactive games as well.

There’s a freestyle air court and sports court too, which has a cushioned, bouncy base ideal for parkour tricks.

Little ones aren’t left out either, as they can enjoy a soft play area.

While the kids are playing, parents can grab a bite to eat and a drink at the onsite cafe.

Though, Slick City isn’t just for kids – big kids (adults) can also have fun at one of the adults-only nights on the first Friday of every month.

The neon-lit attraction is for ages four and older and if you just want to watch you don’t have to pay entry.

There are a number of different ticket types available including ones for shorter 90 minute sessions and ones for longer two hour sessions.

Tickets cost £19.95 and £24.95 per person, respectively.

If you want to go on the AirGlider you’ll have to pay extra though – it’s £4 for one ride or £10 for three rides.

When at the attraction you also have to wear CitySocks, which cost £3 a pair – but you can keep and re-use them.

One recent visitor commented: “The slides are insane and it’s just so much fun.”

Another added: “Unique experience, such a great idea.

“It’s like a waterpark without the water.”
