The Widow is available to watch on ITVX, and stars Kate Beckinsale in a tense role.
It follows the Underworld actress as Georgia Wells, who has believed her husband died in a plane crash.
However, three years later, having lived as a recluse and grieving widow, she sees him in a news report following a riot in the Democratic Republic of Congo and hunts to find him, travelling to Kinshasa for the truth.
As she looks for answers, she’s left questioning why her husband may have faked his own death.
The synopsis teases: “Kate Beckinsale leads as a grieving woman in this gripping drama.”
It adds: “A woman’s search to uncover the mystery of what happened to her husband leads her to the Congo, where she’s forced to seek the truth about what happened to the man she loved.”
The series first aired on Amazon Prime Video in 2019, before being added to the free streaming service.
Parts of The Widow were filmed in South Africa, with Kate suffering from the heat and later revealing she “fainted” while filming because it was “really, really, really hot”.
The cast also included Game of Thrones star Charles Dance, Strictly star Alex Kingston, Olafur Darri Olafsson, Matthew Le Nevez, and Shetland actress Louise Brealey.
Viewers were left hooked by the programme, with one admitting they were “glued to this show”, while several others echoed that they “binged” it.
Another person said: “It kept me on the edge of my seat each show. I really enjoyed the series.”
Reflecting several fans’ pleas for a second season, one person said: “The acting and cinematics are phenomenal. I cannot wait to see season 2!!”
“It was thrilling and entertaining,” someone else said, as another called it “nail-biting”.
Someone else called it “absolutely magnificent”, adding: “The setting was breathtaking and the dialogue was phenomenal.”
Yet another hailed Kate’s “outstanding” performance, while one person added: “A bit slow to start but a gem of a series.”
Despite fans begging for a second season, writers Harry and Jack Williams previously told Express.co.ukthat they have no plans to take it forward.
They explained: “By the time we get to the end, it’s a one-off. It’s very satisfying. There’s no secret pilot. There’s no following season.
“It’s really exciting for the eight parts, it’s almost like a movie really.”
The writing duo and brothers behind The Missing and Liar continued: “I think there isn’t scope for more.”
Britain’s Got Talent viewers complained about one act tonight, calling it inappropriate for family viewing
BGT viewers issued a demand to ITV bosses (Image: ITV)
Britain’s Got Talent viewers have voiced the same grievance, urging ITV bosses to “do better” following an “utterly inappropriate” act.
The beloved ITV talent programme has returned to screens once again with a brand new series, featuring BGT judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and KSI, alongside legendary hosts Ant and Dec.
Tonight (April 18) marked the final round of auditions, but one particular act left viewers at home feeling “sick” and outraged. Fakir Testa, 45, was welcomed onto the stage, leaving both the audience and judges curious about what his performance might involve – and no-one could have guessed.
Viewers at home were quickly horrified to witness him standing on blades while having them pressed against his neck, prompting ITV to issue a ‘do not try at home’ warning.
Admitting she was “stressed”, judge Alesha pressed her red button, joined by Simon, who appeared distinctly unimpressed by the performance, reports Wales Online.
Members of the audience were also spotted turning away and peeking through their fingers, while judge Amanda buried her face in her hands.
Nevertheless, Fakir proceeded to invite Simon onto the stage, requesting he take a seat in a waiting car, before hauling it with a blade pressed against his neck.
The audience seemed to watch on in sheer horror, yet the act proved popular with the Blackpool crowd, as KSI was overheard exclaiming: “You madman, you crazy madman.”
However, viewers at home remained thoroughly unimpressed, as they directed their frustration squarely at ITV bosses. Taking to X, one person wrote: “WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK IS THIS? #BGT.” Another said: “This is NOT a family show #bgt.”
A third fumed: “F***s sake. This is on pre watershed. Do better #itv.” A fourth commented: “This is NOT talent! This is f***** lunacy.”
A fifth echoed: “I can’t watch! Why are they showing this for family entertainment #BGT ?!!?”
One viewer admitted they felt “sick” while another confessed they “can’t watch”. One person labelled it as “utterly inappropriate” as another added: “There are far too many of these Don’t try this at home stunts on #bgt . How about don’t show them on the Tele?”
However, one impressed viewer enthused: “Faki Testa – oh my days that was strange so hard to watch but b****y brilliant entertainment.”
Another offered an explanation: “The blade has to move sideways to cut or use a large amount of energy to chop My Kung Fu teacher had us do this, including spears in our throats, back in the day #BGT.”
Judge Alesha also appeared to reverse her earlier red buzzer decision as Fakir successfully made it through his audition.
BBC has aired the gripping bumper-length finale of The Capture series three and fans have been left wondering if there will be another season of the popular series

The third series of The Capture has come to an end(Image: BBC)
BBC viewers were all left making the same demand after tuning into The Capture season three finale.
DI Rachel Carey’s (Holliday Grainger) battle with E Squadron and her investigation into Isaac Turner’s (Paapa Essiedu) death came to a close and it also marked the end of the road for two major characters.
Rachel officially become the Commander of Counter Terror, but in doing so had sold out on her ideals and compromised herself, meaning she had lost to E Squadron.
They would continue using Correction in the knowledge that she would never be able to reveal that to the public or do anything about it.
One element of the story was left hanging which saw Rachel spotting the dead DSU Gemma Garland (Lia Williams) in the background of a selfie she had just taken only for her to disappear from the image moments later.
Whether this was something that happened technologically or just in Rachel’s head was left uncertain at this moment.
However, the tantalising cliffhanger has left fans begging more episodes.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “@BBCOneDrama There needs to be a fourth series of #TheCapture. It is sooo good. S3E6 was superb and left us wanting another series. Soon. Another person wrote: “There’d better be a season 4 #TheCapture.”
A third person agreed: “Is Gemma dead? Is Frank dead? Is D.C Chloe compromised? I don’t trust these scriptwriters anymore We need answers!!! We need S4!!”
Meanwhile, a fourth social media user said: “Need a season 4. I can”t believe walker died man #TheCapture.”
Creator Ben Chanan has previously stated that he wrote the third season intending it to be the show’s last but by the time it was released he was less certain.
He told Radio Times: “I’d think to myself as I was writing it ‘This is going to be the last series.’ Now, is that true? I don’t know. Never say never, right?
“I think it’s really healthy to just write each series as if it’s going to be the last that you’re not just hanging on to people for the sake of it.
“I think actors don’t mind dying in a series particularly if it’s probably going to be the last one but also if you give them a really good send off.”
The Olivier Awards are back on the BBC and fans were bowled over with host Nick Mohammed also praised for his flawless delivery at the Royal Albert Hall tonight

Whether it’s a track that ushered them through heartbreak or an original tune that reminds them of their loved ones, the singers are given the opportunity to share their stories through music.
Pop stars Paloma Faith and Sam Ryder act as the contestants’ mentors, judging their performances in a hidden location away from the crowds. The winner will ultimately perform on stage at London’s Hackney Empire.
But it wasn’t the singers who caught viewers’ attention during the series premiere. Fans were quick to note that Your Song has a very similar format to The Piano, another talent show by the network.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one fan penned: “This is giving a cross between The Voice and the Piano. #YourSong.”
Another agreed: “So new #YourSong is just the amazing #Piano series but without the piano??? Think I’d rather have The Piano as used to host and judges etc….but will give this a go ..let’s see.”
Someone else, who was a fan of The Piano, added: “#YourSong I watched all of The Piano episodes. Not sure I’ll stick with this though but I’ll see what the first few singers are like..”
Hosted by Claudia Winkleman and pianist Lang Lang, the series similarly features amateur musicians, although they perform pieces on a piano. The judges also observe the contestants from a nearby room, before selecting finalists for a major end-of-show concert.
Despite spotting the similarities, however, some fans have shared positive reviews of the new show. “The singers on this are quite good tbf,” wrote one, with another adding: “What a performance from Elliott.”
Elliott, 17, was one of the first performers of the competition. He hails from Liverpool, which was the show’s very first stop. There, singers performed everything from chart-toppers from Sam Fender to original songs.
They also opened up about how each tune carried them through difficult times, which left the judges visibly moved.
Some I’m A Celebrity South Africa viewers were so unimpressed with the latest episode twist that they slammed bosses, and one even called for the format to be axed

Some I’m A Celebrity South Africa viewers were unimpressed with the latest episode(Image: ITV)
It’s safe to say I’m A Celebrity South Africa viewers were not impressed with the ending of Tuesday’s episode.
Just as Gemma Collins and Craig Charles battled it out during their first trial in the spin-off series, the episode featured a cliffhanger twist that left fans fuming. Gemma and Craig had just decided how much they were going to eat in the eating trial, battling it out for points for their team.
It all came down to the final showdown, but as hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly kicked it off, the show ended. Featuring a cliffhanger and ending the episode before the trial had finished did not go down well with ITV viewers.
As many slammed the decision and bosses, one viewer even called for the format of the spin-off series to be axed entirely. With it being a pre-recorded series, filmed late last year, viewers have less involvement and it’s all a little different to the main series.
Taking to social media to call out ITV for ending the episode too early, one fan said: “What a cruel way to end that.” Another said: “No no no, it didn’t just end like that. Who do I’m celeb think they are. Love island?”
A third post read: “WHAT THE F**K. Axe this pre-recorded format immediately WHAT DO YOU MEAN ending the episode on a cliffhanger in the MIDDLE OF A TRIAL?!”
A further post said: “YOU CANT JUST END IT LIKE THAT WHAT THE HELL.” One fan wrote: “NOOOOOOOO WHY END THERE,” as another said: “A cliffhanger. You’re ending it on a cliffhanger.”
It comes as fans predicted a feud could be headed for three campmates on the show. After Beverley Callard brought up her launch episode drama with David Haye, her co-stars were stunned by his betrayal.
Back in the main camp, another campmate appeared to call David out after he moaned about their dinner, despite it being better than the rations the other camp were getting. David who feared he would go hungry.
Seeing the portion size, especially once split between the five campmates, he told stars including Sinitta that it wasn’t enough food. When it came to eating it though, he couldn’t finish his bowl. Sinitta pointed out that there was more food left over if he was still hungry, but he declined.
Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, Sinitta pointed out how he’d claimed the food wasn’t enough, yet he didn’t even eat what was in the food tin. Viewers were amused at Sinitta calling him out, and predicted both she and Beverley would end up clashing with David in a camp feud.
One fan said: “Sinitta and Beverly vs David Haye feud incoming.” Another fan theorised: “Haye I can see causing rows,” as a third said: “Obsessed with them all hating David.”

It comes as one TV fan revealed they were on the search for something that “hooks you early” and stays good all the way through.
Posting on Reddit, the person visited the r/tvsuggestions forum for inspiration as many recommended Resident Alien.
They asked: “It feels like everything is overhyped lately and I keep getting disappointed after something people swear is amazing.
“Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind popular shows, I just want something that actually lives up to it and doesn’t fall off after a few episodes.
“Ideally something that hooks you early and stays consistently good all the way through. Open to any genre at this point, I just want a show that delivers.”
In the comments section, people recommended Resident Alien which is “one of the funniest shows ever made”.
Someone commented: “For real! I absolutely adore it. Such a good storyline. Hard to watch it and eat or drink though. The sudden hilarious moments make me spit laugh.”
What is Resident Alien about?
The American science fiction comedy-drama TV series, which was created by Chris Sheridan, is about an extraterrestrial sent to wipe out humanity who kills a vacationing physician and takes on his identity.
After a crash landing on Earth in a small town in Colorado, the extraterrestrial, named Harry, is asked to do an autopsy on the town’s doctor, who died in unknown circumstances, and eventually takes over for the doctor at the town’s clinic.
With the moral dilemma of his secret mission, he also deals with the mayor’s young son who can see his true alien appearance. He also develops compassion for humanity and ends up defending them from other extraterrestrial threats.
The series ran for four seasons from January 2021 to August 2025 on Syfy, but now it’s available to watch on Netflix.
Rated a 15, the comedy has an 8 out of 10 rating on IMDB. Reviewers say ‘Resident Alien’ is lauded for its clever humour and engaging storylines.
EXCLUSIVE: Kieran McCartney has revealed what fans don’t see on The Apprentice including what Lord Alan Sugar, Baroness Karren Brady and Tim Campbell are really like

The Apprentice has been on our screens for over two decades(Image: PA)
Kieran McCartney has revealed what the BBC bosses don’t show on The Apprentice.
The estate agent from East London is one of the eight remaining candidates in the running to become Lord Alan Sugar’s next business partner.
Last week, he put his neck on the line by cutting a dramatic “win or walk” deal with the business tycoon to save himself from being fired.
He’s the first contestant in the BBC show’s 21-year history to make a pact with Lord Sugar that he would lead the next task to victory – or walk away.
As fans wait to see the outcome of the bold move, Kieran’s shared some behind-the-scenes secrets including what Lord Sugar and his aides Baroness Karren Brady and Tim Campbell are really like.
“Those boardroom showdowns are as real as it gets,” he explained, before adding: “Everything is done in one take and they film everything once and once only. It’s all real and raw.
“What you see is what you get. Karren’s [Brady’s] very strong but a big softy and she grows on you.
“[Lord Alan] Sugar had lots of banter and I love that so I was giving it back to him. I don’t think anyone’s ever given back to the way I did and Tim’s just a lovely guy.”
Baroness Brady joined The Apprentice as one of Lord Sugar’s aides in 2010 replacing Margaret Mountford and Tim won the first series of The Apprentice in 2005 taking over Claude Littner in 2022.
Kieran went on to share exactly how much time he spent with Lord Sugar’s trusted advisors during the process.
He added: “When you split into your two teams, you then go into further two teams so there’s four groups overall.
“Karren and Tim spend the morning with one group and the afternoon with the other and then you see them in the boardroom.
“They kind of just sit there but I’m not sure they actually write anything down like you see on camera.”
To remember his ultimatum, Kieran has had a tattoo on his leg of Lord Sugar, Baroness Brady and Tim’s faces with the words “The Apprentice 2026” and catchphrase “win or walk”.
Addressing his thinking process behind his bold offer, he joked: “Lord Sugar will either love my tattoo or send me a legal letter.”
He continued: “I’d love to sit here and say it was all part of a bigger plan but it was a total impulse.
“I thought I was a goner and was going home, it was a last resort and I just came out with it.
“I had to make that deal with Lord Sugar to survive and I put my neck on the line. It was a one-off, never been done and that’s a bit of me.”
Kieran McCartney was speaking to BestBettingSites.co.uk – the leading comparison site for casino sites and The Apprentice airs Thursdays on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 9pm
BBC Ambulance viewers were left feeling emotional during the latest instalment of the popular series

BBC Ambulance viewers were left in tears during the latest episode(Image: BBC)
Ambulance viewers were left in tears as they watched the “heart-wrenching” moment the parademics helped an elderly man on end of life care.
During Wednesday’s (April 1) instalment of the BBC hit series, which follows ambulance crews in Yorkshire, viewers saw an emergency team receive a call to attend to a 91-year-old man Terry, who was struggling to breathe.
Halifax crew 1671 Siobhan and Ellie rushed to the scene and found Terry lying in a hospital bed in his living room.
It was clear that Terry was uncomfortable as he struggled to breathe and was getting choked up when coughing. To help with the pain, he was given medication.
In a heartbreaking moment, Terry admitted that he didn’t want to go to hospital so Siobhan made a few calls to confirm he was able to do so.
Visibly moved, Siobhan said: “The most valuable job that I go to is an end of life job. They require a level of care and calm and cup of tea making. A hospital is not the place for everybody.
“Sometimes when we go to a patient who is dying, you have to be that patient’s advocate, following somebody’s wishes and keeping them comfortable and happy. No matter how difficult that is.”
Terry was able to stay in the comfort of his own home as Siobhan admitted that “there is nothing more we could do”.
While sitting in the ambulance, She turned to Ellie and said: “I’ve met Terry before and Terry that we went into was so different but I don’t think there is nothing more we could do.”
Ellie replied: “I think we have done the right thing there. He didn’t want to go to hospital and when someone is on palliative care is it the right thing to do – take them out of their nice warm home. Bless him.”
At the end of the show, it was revealed that Terry had spent three days in hospital before returning home, where he died in line with his wishes.
Viewers were left feeling emotional over the heartbreaking scene as they rushed to social media to share their reaction.
One fan wrote: “#ambulance Aw Terry. Heart wrenching.” Another said: “Terry is breaking my heart #Ambulance.” Someone else commented: “The hardest thing is watching people you love gradually fade away. #Ambulance.”
A fourth fan admitted: “It’s a tough watch tonight #Ambulance. One emotional viewer said: “Sobbing watching this #Ambulance.”
Meanwhile a fifth person added: “Tonight’s episode is just…. tough to see the elderly people nearing the end of their lives and all the paramedics being so caring & dignified in treating them.”
Ambulance airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Wednesdays at 9pm
The streamer’s latest true crime offering tells the harrowing story of Manuel Blanco Vela.
The harrowing Netflix documentary is climbing the charts(Image: NETFLIX)
Netflix’s dark new documentary has left viewers reeling. It has just added a new series to its extensive library of true crime offerings, which delves into a case that evaded justice for many years until one survivor spoke out.
The Netflix series recalls a woman’s fight to expose Manuel Blanco Vela, a Spanish tour guide who ran student trips and abused the trust of young women by assaulting them.
Blanco Vela, who ran Discover Excursions, a travel company offering trips across Spain, is the main subject of The Predator of Seville.
Viewers learned of how between 50 and 100 women may have accused Blanco Vela of assaults or attempted assaults over time, although only a small number of cases were prosecuted.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts on the new crime documentary, one viewer said: “That Manuel Blanco documentary is horrifying.”
Another praised the survivors, sharing: “What a brilliant and brave woman you are. He massively underestimated the collective power of women.”
On IMDb reviews, one viewer expressed their shock, sharing: “How could this go on for so long?
“It’s disgusting to see how long Manuel was able to get away with this abuse and how difficult it seems to be to actually convict someone like that. Incredibly brave of all the women who have shared their stories.”
Another shared: “It is a very interesting story on Manuel’s serial behaviour. It’s sad to hear it took so long to be recognised. The woman starting the story seems to have been healing well and hope she continues on doing so.”
A third added: “Every woman that was affected by this guy, I am so happy that you stood up for yourself, the fact that he was running away for so long honestly mind-boggles me.”
A fourth shared: “Unbelievable that that man got away with it for so long. A confronting story for parents and young girls. Let it be a lesson that young girls should never go out alone, no matter where in the world.”
The synopsis for the limited series reads: “A sexual assault by a Spanish tour guide sparks a surge of similar claims from multiple US students. This documentary follows their fight for justice.”
The trailer for the series sees a group of women explaining how Blanco Vela took advantage of their vulnerable state until one survivor set up an online investigation to expose him.
Viewers of the BBC documentary were left in tears after watching paramedics battle to save a 67-year-old man

Ambulance left viewers in tears(Image: BBC screengrab)
Viewers were left emotional after a man tragically died during TV show Ambulance on Wednesday’s episode.
The most recent instalment of the BBC series, which follows ambulance crews in Yorkshire, saw an emergency team respond after receiving a call reporting that 67-year-old Steve had stopped breathing.
Critical care paramedic John was amongst those who raced to the location. As the team began CPR, John informed Steve’s partner Penny: “At the moment, the heart rhythm, Steve’s heart, there’s no electrical activity at all. It’s really not good I’m afraid.”
“I think you need to prepare yourself,” he continued. Penny mentioned that Steve was “quite stubborn”, with John responding: “So maybe, maybe he’ll prove me wrong. We’re not there yet.”
However, following 32 minutes of CPR, the decision was taken to stop and John had to deliver the devastating news to Penny, reports Yorkshire Live.
“Penny we’ve stopped,” he informed her. “I am really sorry.”
As they discussed what had happened, John reassured her: “Don’t second guess it. It wouldn’t have changed anything. Nothing you could have done, would have stopped that from happening.”
Penny recalled that there had been an “incredible sunset” that week, saying: “At least he saw that.”
Audiences were left devastated by the scenes, with one sharing on social media: “Sobbing for Steve and Penny. So glad he saw the beautiful sunset. With love.”
“I can’t deal with cardiac arrests,” one viewer wrote on X, including a crying emoji.
“This is brutal,” another individual commented on the platform. “This programme never fails to have me in tears,” admitted one viewer. “So much respect for the call handlers and paramedics.
“Awww wee Penny xxx, bless that paramedic man for his words of comfort,” wrote another, as a fellow viewer remarked: “Oh my goodness this programme Ambulance is so hard to watch.”
“Poor Penny,” said another moved viewer, while one more observed: “Such a dignified response from this lady to her partner just dying. Bless her heart.”
Ambulance airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Wednesdays at 9pm.
Power: The Downfall Of Huw Edwards tells the story of the presenter’s fall from grace
Martin Clunes plays Huw Edwards in the drama(Image: PA)
Channel 5 viewers have called a new programme about former BBC newsreader Huw Edwards a “hard watch”.
Power: The Downfall Of Huw Edwards – starring Martin Clunes in the main role – chronicles the events leading to the presenter’s conviction for making indecent images of children. He was found guilty in 2024, and received a six-month prison sentence, which was suspended for two years.
The drama aired on Channel 5 on Tuesday (March 24), centring on Edwards’ alleged interaction with a 17-year-old. The teen, given the fictional name ‘Ryan’, is portrayed by Welsh actor Osian Morgan.
Moments after it began, viewers started posting comments on social media stating that it made for “uncomfortable” viewing, reports Wales Online.
“5 minutes in and can already tell this will be a thoroughly uncomfortable watch,” one viewer posted on X. Another individual admitted they were “already creeped out”.
“Not even halfway and I feel nauseous,” another person shared on the platform, formerly known as Twitter.
“Already creeped out when he calls him ‘baby’,” commented another viewer, whilst someone else confessed they were “speechless” watching the story unfold.
“I’m normally quite hardened to these sorts of dramas but honestly this Huw Edwards programme on 5 is a heck of an uncomfortable watch,” another viewer expressed.
“It’s a hard watch,” concurred another, as one viewer admitted they were turning off.
“I tried watching Power but it’s so grim that I’ve switched over to a repeat of Simon Schama’s History of Britain,” they shared.
“That’s it I have had to turn off this Huw Edwards programme,” said someone else.
Another viewer described the programme as feeling “dark and ominous”.
Numerous viewers also commented on Martin’s depiction of the former newsreader, saying he “nailed it”.
“Clunes is playing a blinder as Huw Edwards,” one individual remarked, whilst another added: “Martin Clunes is giving a career-defining performance. A disturbing, but compelling, portrayal of Huw Edwards.”
“Clunes is really pulling this off,” observed another, with someone else stating that the Doc Martin star’s performance was an “absolute tour de force”.
“Martin Clunes is formidable in his portrayal of Huw Edwards,” praised another impressed viewer.
Power: The Downfall Of Huw Edwards airs on Channel 5.

ITV viewers issue same complaint minutes into new reality show Celebrity Sabotage (Image: ITV)
ITV viewers were not impressed as new reality show, Celebrity Sabotage, premiered.
The new series sees Joel Dommett, Judi Love, Sam Thompson and GK Barry sabotage ordinary people who think they are taking part in various reality shows, with the aim of winning them money.
In each episode, a fresh set of unsuspecting contestants will arrive, believing they’re participating in a brand-new ITV show. But what they don’t know is that hidden away in their very own high-tech Mission HQ are celebrity saboteurs, who are secretly watching the contestants’ every move and are being set their own sabotage missions.
Hosting the fake shows are a string of stars, including Emma and Matt Willis, Sara Davies and Clare Balding, while celebrities will also join Joel, Judi, Sam and GK to help with the sabotaging.
The first episode aired on Saturday (March 21), with a group of business enthusiasts embarking on a set of challenges under the watchful eye of entrepreneur and Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies.
The celebrity saboteurs were joined by comedian Jo Brand as they set about disrupting wedding video filming, deleting the contestant’s filmed footage, and sabotaging a wellness away-day face mask activity by using lashings of green food colouring.
After watching the first episode, several ITV viewers shared their complaints about the show’s premise.
“#CelebritySabotage This is as much fun as having a toothache, @ITV churns out some rubbish & this one is right up there. It’s a waste of our time, it makes you look forward to seeing the adverts! I’m going to sit outside & watch the car electric battery top up, a lot more fun!” one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Another added: “How do programmes like these ever get commissioned. Utter rubbish,” while a third said: “What a s*** show.”
A fourth fan echoed the sentiment, saying: “This is a kids TV show that got mixed up in the schedule surely. Utterly dreadful hate watch,” with another similarly sharing: “This is appallingly bad even for ITV. How long before it’s shunted to 4.30 Sunday afternoon?”
Meanwhile, other viewers enjoyed the silliness of the show, with one person writing: “Honestly I knew I was going to like #CelebritySabotage, it’s a great show with a great cast and I really like how the fake shows are rip offs of others. Definitely will be watching next week.”
Another added: “I know it’s all very childish but I absolutely love it. This is what Saturday night telly should be,” while a third said: “This is incredible. I could listen to @1Judilove laugh all day long, absolutely howling.”
Someone else commented: “Cackled with laughter for this whole show. What a vibe.”
After two days of sabotaging, the contestants eventually found out about the celebrities’ antics, before learning that they’d won a shared prize of £29,000.

Saturday Night Live has arrived in the UK after months of anticipation, with Tina Fey stepping in to host.
As SNL UK launched on Sky, viewers were all saying the same thing as they tuned in to watch the very first sketch, which poked fun at Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
The 75-minute episode features Wet Leg as the first musical guest, with Wolf Alice and Kasabian to follow in future episodes.
“I am so excited for you to meet your cast, they are wonderful,” Tina told the audience, before promising to “stay out of their way tonight as much as possible”.
Viewers were divided as opening skit played out, with many complaining about the amount of laughter coming from the crowd. Some even wondered if it was canned, but this is not the case, as the show is filmed in front of a live studio audience.
“Are they seriously doing canned laughter on SNLUK?” one person asked on X (Twitter), as another quizzed: “Surely that laughter isn’t real on Saturday Night Love UK?”
A third asked: “Hang on? Is this laughter canned? It surely can’t be. But the audience is being weirdly compliant.”
“The audience need to calm down a bit,” another person advised, while one more suggested it was a technical issue, adding: “The laugh track is leveled/mixed wrong and it’s annoying me… “
However, other fans shared their appreciation for the show, with one writing: “Was so critical about the idea of SNLUK. 2 minutes in and I’m cryin.”
“Unpopular opinion: Saturday Night Live UK will be considered a great success this time next year,” a second penned.
“Got to admit, I did get a bit giddy at ‘Live from London, it’s Saturday Night Live!'” another commented, as one more person enthused: “I’m loving the opening sequence.”
Saturday Night Live UK debuted tonight on Sky and streaming service Now at 10pm. It was originally scheduled for just six episodes but received an extension before launch, meaning it will now run every Saturday for the next eight weeks.
The entertainment show includes a blend of sketch comedy, stand-up and live music, much like its US counterpart.
The show also mirrors its American predecessor with an opening monologue and signature segments like the Weekend Update, presented by Colin Jost and Michael Che in the US.
Saturday Night Live, created by Lorne Michaels, is a TV institution in the United States and first started in 1975.
Tina Fey appeared on the sketch programme from 1997 to 2006, and based her hit comedy series 30 Rock on her experiences working on the show.
The UK line-up of comedians features several major names from the comedy circuit as well as some up-and-coming talent.
The ensemble cast includes Hammed Animashaun, Ania Magliano, Emma Sidi, Celeste Dring, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, George Fouracres, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, and Paddy Young.
Writers for the show include 8 Out of 10 Cats writer Charlie Skelton, Stath Lets Flats actor and comedian Al Roberts and Have I Got News For You’s Bella Hull.

“The chemistry between them is something special and we can’t wait to share this funny group of people with the world.”
Phil Edgar Jones, executive director of Unscripted Originals at Sky, said: “We all need a laugh like never before, so we’re beyond excited to bring Saturday Night Live to the UK, only 50 short years after it first launched in the US.
“The show’s long-standing legacy of discovering and nurturing outstanding comedy talent speaks for itself, and this UK version will build on that legacy with the support of Lorne Michaels, a brilliant local production team, and an exciting new generation of voices. Saturday nights are looking bright!”

The crime drama from Death in Paradise’s creator has returned to screens with its third season and viewers were delighted
The Marlow Murder Club returns for a third season this week(Image: UKTV)
The beloved mystery drama, The Marlow Murder Club, made its comeback to our TV screens with the eagerly awaited third series and viewers have declared the opening instalment “brilliant”.
Adapted from the novels by Death in Paradise creator Robert Thorogood, the programme unfolds in the charming Buckinghamshire town of Marlow.
Where retired archaeologist and amateur detective Judith Potts (Samantha Bond) joins forces with dog walker Suzie Harris (Jo Martin) and vicar’s wife Becks Starling (Cara Horgan) to crack a series of captivating crimes.
Every series has featured an array of famous faces, with the likes of Peter Davison (The Gold, Gentleman Jack), Tony Gardner (The Larkins, Last Tango in Halifax) as well as the comedy icon Harry Enfield making a guest appearance in the newest series, reports Hello.
In season three, Judith, Suzie and Becks confront a new batch of baffling mysteries, assisted by Marlow Police’s senior detective, Tanika Malik (Natalie Dew).
The synopsis reads: “From the sudden death of the town’s beloved mayor – the nicest man in Marlow – to a celebrity chef found dead at the launch of his cookbook with half the town in attendance.
“The team will be working under the watchful eye of the Marlow community.
“They’ll also be called to action at a university reunion in an eerie manor house where, in a surprising twist, Becks finds herself amongst the suspects. Could this case threaten our amateur sleuths’ roles as civilian advisors?”
This gripping drama represents cosy crime at its finest. With absorbing mysteries, ingenious plot twists and abundant charm, it’s hardly surprising that The Marlow Murder Club has become such a firm favourite with audiences.
Sharing their reaction on social media, fans have praised the programme’s much-anticipated third run as “brilliant”.
One viewer posted on X: “Last night’s #MarlowMurderClub series 3 premiere was off to a great start, brilliant stuff from Samantha bond, Cara Horgan, Jo Martin, Natalie Dew.”
Whilst another commented: “So pleased this is back on. I love it.” A third audience member commended the show as a “brilliant crime drama,” whilst another applauded the “beautiful scenery and laugh out loud moments”.
Meanwhile, the programme has garnered favourable reviews from television critics, with The Times likening the drama to “the TV equivalent of a garden wallow listening to birdsong whilst enjoying a nice cup of tea,” in its three-star assessment.
Awarding four stars, the Daily Mail praised the show as “cosy crime at its snuggest and most comforting”.
All six episodes of The Marlow Murder Club Season 3 are now available to stream on U and Channel 4.
ABC’s Sunday telecast of the 98th Oscars averaged 17.9 million viewers, ending a four-year streak of audience increases.
The figure from Nielsen is down 9% from the 19.7 million viewers who watched the telecast on ABC and Hulu in 2025.
After ratings for the Oscars cratered to an all-time low of 10.5 million viewers in 2021, the event’s audience levels ticked back up in recent years.
But the show has not topped 20 million viewers since 2019, as younger viewers are content to watch highlights of the ceremony on social media, rather than sit through a three-hour-plus telecast on traditional TV.
The awards held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood honored “One Battle After Another” for best picture, Michael B. Jordan for lead actor in “Sinners,” and Jessie Buckley for lead actress in “Hamnet.” Conan O’Brien was the host for the second straight year.
Critics said the ceremony was light on political statements about President Trump, whose name was not mentioned during the telecast. The show’s highlight was an extended “In Memoriam” segment that gave extra tribute to legendary actor and filmmaker Robert Redford and slain actor, director and producer Rob Reiner.
ABC had success in selling out the commercials for the Oscars, which is perennially the most watched non-sports telecast of the year. But the network will only have the event for two more years as the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences chose to take a better financial offer from YouTube for the rights to the telecast starting in 2029.
O’Brien poked fun at the YouTube move. He closed with a video that shows him being appointed Oscars “host for life.” As he takes in the honor, poison gas seeps into the office he is given. After O’Brien’s lifeless body is wheeled out, a name plaque with a new host is put on the door. His successor is YouTube star Mr. Beast.

However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing for the transatlantic stream – which was seemingly hit with technical difficulties just minutes in.
Taking to X to check whether it was a universal issue, one viewer wrote: “Is the itv oscar’s feed glitchy and weird for anyone else or is my tv screeching at me?”
“Omg ITV sort the sound outttt #Oscars,” said a second user.
A third wrote: “Is anyone else hearing an awful beeping sound on itv or are my speakers just f***ed #Oscars”.
“For everyone saying there are sound issues on ITV’s coverage of the #Oscars, it looks it’s not just us in the UK. People in other countries are complaining too so it must be,” said another.
The sharp beeping noise continued throughout Conan’s opening monologue, but appeared to be fixed by the time the first award came around.
During the show, presenter Jonathan was joined by a panel made up of presenter Elle Osili-Wood, actor Samson Kayo and social media star Fred Asquith.
They discussed the night’s red carpet and ceremony from the studio – providing commentary throughout the bash.
The exclusive bash closes off awards season and is known as the biggest night in Hollywood.
From Leonardo DiCaprio to Timothee Chalamet, the night’s nominees were out in full force as they hoped to take home one of the coveted gold gongs.
Conan returned to front the show for the second time, as a host of famous faces appeared on stage to give out awards.
Amongst the night’s big nominees were films such as Sinners, Frankenstein and Hamnet.
Who won on Hollywood’s biggest night?
One Battle After Another ran away with the night with six Oscars, while Sinners, which was nominated for a record-breaking 16 awards, came away with four. See the full winners list below:

Claudia Winkleman has fronted her new show and fans are immediately having their say. The star of The Traitors and formerly of Strictly Come Dancing is now sharing Graham Norton’s Friday evening talk slot as she entertains on her own brand new series.
It marks Claudia’s first new solo gig since she and co-host Tess Daly stepped down from hosting Strictly Come Dancing. And The Traitors star admitted the new venture as “really scary” as she readied herself to speak to a star-studded line-up of famous faces from the world of TV, music, and more.
The aptly named The Claudia Winkleman Show, is filmed in front of a live studio audience and the presenter said before the show she is “going to be awful”. And fans were quick to share whether they agreed with her statement as they rushed to Twitter /X during the first instalment.

However, others were appreciating the new show – including guest Tom Allen, who ssaid it was a great show. On Instagram he said: “It was FABULOUS to be part of!”
And a X user also seemed to enjoy the set up. “First thoughts about The Claudia Winkleman Show, not that much different from The Graham Norton Show really but I love her anyway,” they said. Another added: “The Claudia Winkleman Show gets four stars. . . .A welcome contrast to the Graham Norton Show, which is a very, very out-of-step production.”
Jennifer, who appeared on the show to promoted her new film The Magic Faraway Tree, revealed: “Dawn and I once thought we’d be really daring, and we got an ecstasy tablet. We thought one day when we’re alone – we could take half an ecstasy tablet. We kept it on Dawn’s mantlepiece and one day, about six months later, we thought ‘OK, we’re ready’.”
Before the show aired, Claudia had said: “I can’t quite believe it, and I’m incredibly grateful to the BBC for this amazing opportunity. I’m obviously going to be awful, that goes without saying, but I’m over the moon they’re letting me try.”
