*Warning – contains spoilers for Beast Games season 2*
A brand new season of Mr Beast’s Beast Games has finally landed on Prime Video promising to be bigger, better and more intense than ever.
The first three episodes have dropped on Wednesday (January 7) as 200 contestants all battle it out in the hopes of winning a staggering prize pot of $5,000,000 (which equates to around £3.7 million) making it one of the largest prize winnings in reality competition history.
Straight away, viewers are plunged into chaos as 200 hopefuls are split into 100 of the world’s smartest and 100 of the world’s strongest, but only 100 make it through to Beast City after a brutal first challenge.
Titled Strong Vs Smart, alliances have already been forming, as well as new relationships and bribes – but what may come as a surprise to fans, is a major season 2 twist that no-one was expecting.
Prime Video teases: “After a record-shattering first season, Beast Games is back! Bigger, bolder, and more intense than ever. MrBeast has assembled 100 of the planet’s strongest competitors and 100 of the world ’s smartest minds.
“Strong vs. Smart” will battle for an eye-watering $5,000,000 prize. As players face off in the ultimate collision of brain and biceps; alliances will form and trust will break. Every challenge pushes the limits of human strength, intelligence and strategy. What wouldn’t you do for $5,000,000?”
But what is the huge season 2 twist? We have put together all you need to know as the first three episodes drop.
Beast Games season 2 twist explained
Arguably the first jaw dropping moment of season 2 came during episode 1’s major cliffhanger when MrBeast brought the contestants their first bribe.
The players were asked whether they wanted to take home $100k but they walked from the competition there and then.
But the game would not be down a few, instead, the players that chose to leave would instead be replaced… not just with anyone, but with familiar faces from the first season – including the winner.
Many took to social media to share their views as one person said: “Honestly Beast Games is pretty cool and i LOVED the cast reveal from last season.”
**For the latest showbiz, TV, movie and streaming news, go to the new **Everything Gossip** website**
Another wrote: “Damn Jimmy brought back the season 1 contestants. What a great idea.” A third added: “Jeff is back!!! Can he go for back to back wins.”
However, a fourth replied: “People who have already stole hundreds of thousands of dollars being allowed the chance to play again doesn’t sit well with me?!”
Ten previous contestants had the opportunity to return, should anyone decide to go home.
In the end, it was Twana (player 830), Karim (player 406), Akira (player 539) Jeff (player 831), Jeremy (player 991), Deano (player 380), Mia (player 952), JC (Player 566), Gage Gallagher (player 974) and Courtney Ferris (player 424) who returned.
Who won Beast Games season 1?
Jeff Allen was season one’s winner when he took home $10m, beating 999 other competitors and taking home one of the largest cash prizes.
For Jeff, it was his family that spurred him on as he wanted to win the funds to put towards helping with his son’s rare disease. According to People, his eldest son Lucas was diagnosed with Creatine Transporter Deficiency at just 2 years old, which was first picked up on when he was “missing milestones”.
He said: “I need to take care of him. I want to make sure he’s taken care of at home, but also, can we invest into research to help ultimately find a treatment for him and other kids like him?”
The villagers are starting to turn on themselves following the death of villain Ray Walters, but when an unknown person was seen dragging his corpse – it was clear he’d been murdered

Emmerdale spoilers let slip Ray’s true killer in murder twist
After the brutal death of villain Ray Walters was revealed on Emmerdale on Monday, spoilers have confirmed his true killer in a shocking twist.
With the baddie finally seeing the consequences of actions after the villagers turned on him, the plot line reached a chilling climax when he murdered his mum, fellow villain Celia Daniels, last week. After Monday’s episode saw Ray’s corpse being dragged along by an unknown person – his eyes still wide open – fans were left wondering who could have caused such terror in his final moments.
Before long the police begin their search of the depot, due to their ongoing query regarding drugs being likely couriered through this business. Jai, Caleb and Billy are shocked when Ray’s body is found inside the van.
Jai’s under pressure as the police try to work out a timeline of his use of the van. When they leave telling him they’ll be in touch, Caleb asks if there’s anything Jai needs to tell him, convinced there’s a killer nearby.
Jai theorises Celia must have killed Ray, but Caleb thinks it was someone closer to home. The next day, DC Stewart asks Caleb if there’s a connection between Jai and Ray. When Caleb tells them about Jai and Laurel’s divorce, Stewart takes note.
But Laurel is struggling to process what has happened. When Arthur tells Laurel she doesn’t get to lecture him after what has happened to Ray, he is quickly stunned when Laurel reveals Ray’s body’s been found.
Just the next day, Laurel is seen praying in the church. She then bumps into Marlon and chastises him for not telling her about Ray sooner.
Marlon is left to struggle with the weight of her words. Before long, DS Walsh questions Laurel about her relationship with Ray.
When she implies Jai might have been unhappy about it, they are interested although Laurel is adamant Jai couldn’t be behind Ray’s murder. DS Walsh leaves not long after Jai is taken in for questioning.
Pondering over what has happened while they sip coffee, Nicola wonders to Laurel if Jai killed Ray. But witnessing how all the speculation and gossip is getting to Laurel, Nicola softens.
Meanwhile, Jai is left worried by the intense questioning. Later on, in the pub, all eyes are on Jai as he gets heated defending himself. He only makes things worse by Jai pointing the finger at April and Dylan, suggesting they could have been involved, before dramatically storming out.
Elsewhere, Mandy calls Paddy from Ireland but on at the end of their phone call Paddy breaks down in uncontrollable sobs, with poor Dylan left unsure how to console him. Meanwhile, as April is comforted by her family, the conversation, once again, moves on to theorising about who killed Ray.
The villagers begin questioning who’s really responsible and it becomes clear they all have secrets. Following Ray’s death, the ITV soap also confirmed potential murder suspects, including April, Laurel, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and his wife, Rhona Goskirk ( Zoe Henry ), and Ross Barton (Mike Parr).
Viewers think they know who killed Ray though, with a few names being shared. Some believe it’s Dylan, while others suspected Bear and even Arthur Thomas. One fan said: “I feel Dylan killed Ray tbh.”
Another viewer said: “Guys Bear killed Ray,” as a third wrote: “Curveball suspects – Arthur Jai.” A fourth fan said: “What about Ross?” while another posted: “Did Laurel stab Ray to death?”
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
OASIS star Liam Gallagher is facing a new court order to reveal how much money he has earned from the band’s hugely successful reunion tour, The Sun on Sunday can reveal.
A court hearing is set to be held in New York this month after the mother of the singer’s love child filed a fresh legal motion to access his latest finances.

Liza Ghorbani is trying to obtain the singer’s bank records, tax returns and credit card statements to show how much he is now worth, say experts.
It will be the first time the band’s tour finances — which are estimated to be more than £350million — face being exposed to public scrutiny.
Ms Ghorbani wants to use the fresh information to prove he should stump up the £500,000 a year she’s claiming for the care of their daughter Gemma, 12, who was born in 2013 after an affair.
Liam, 53, and his brother Noel, 58, are expected to have raked in millions of pounds for last year’s sell-out Oasis Live ’25 reunion world tour.
The band, whose 1994 debut album Definitely Maybe has sold 15million copies worldwide, is estimated to have made £303million from ticket sales alone — with another £40million from sponsorship deals and merchandise.
And there could be more cash to come as he has been teasing fans about new tour dates in the next couple of years.
It is understood that Ms Ghorbani, 51, is trying to access details on all of their tour-related income.
We can reveal that lawyers for the US music journalist have filed an application for an Order to Show Cause in New York’s Supreme Court.
The judge hearing their case, Mr Jeffrey Pearlman, has been asked to consider a motion to compel both sides to answer further questions and provide more information to help him make a decision.
He has set a date later this month for a fresh court hearing.
Ms Ghorbani has filed various documents into the court, including 15 exhibits setting out her specific requests on what she wants from Liam’s lawyers.
Details of her exact demands have not been disclosed.
But top New York family lawyer Morgan Mazer said Liam will have to hand over the documents relating to tour earnings during a process in the case called discovery.
Ms Mazer said: “Ms Ghorbani can get access to the tour merchandise sales, if it’s a side thing Mr Gallagher is earning money from.
He has been more than generous over the years and is standing firm with his legal team

“Ms Ghorbani will want to look at any employment and income, any perks that Mr Gallagher has.
“Credit card statements are relevant because some people don’t always show all their income on their tax returns.
“With the credit card statements you can glean what somebody is making based on their lifestyle. The powers to determine what you should pay in child support are broad.”

Yesterday a source close to the singer told The Sun on Sunday: “Liam has been focused on enjoying Christmas with his family and not letting this court case get to him.
“He has been more than generous over the years and is standing firm with his legal team.”
In March we revealed Ms Ghorbani had filed a lawsuit demanding more money despite the case being settled in 2015.
He also posted a link to the 1963 Beatles song Money (That’s What I Want).
His tax returns will be sophisticated so you will likely want a forensic accountant to review them
Dror Bikel, New York family lawyer
Ms Ghorbani claims she needs more money because Gemma is autistic and her needs have changed.
Liam’s lawyer Judith Poller has called it an attempt to cash in on the Oasis tour.
Dror Bikel, another respected New York family lawyer, said the examination of Liam’s finances could be extensive.
He added: “When the accountants sink their teeth into it, people are in for a ride.
“His tax returns will be sophisticated so you will likely want a forensic accountant to review them and you can find out what investments he has, what property he owns.
“You start with the tax returns and go from there.”
And he said Liam could be held in contempt of court if he refuses to hand over more information.
Mr Bikel went on: “He could face financial penalties and the severest punishment is incarceration.
‘Could be consequences’
“If he doesn’t hand over his financial details there could be consequences.”
Mr Bikel also chided Liam for insulting Ms Ghorbani and said that it was “never a good idea” because “courts don’t like those kinds of things”.
In June the New York court heard Liam has paid out more than £750,000 since 2015. His lawyers said he later agreed to pay £180,000 towards Gemma’s school and autism-related expenses.
But Ms Ghorbani is demanding £510,000 a year to cover child support and expenses.
She and her daughter live in a £3,300-a-month Manhattan apartment. Her new demands include £22,500 a month for a home with a pool, £75,000 a year for a live-in nanny and a £5,000 holiday budget.
Liam, who has three other children, is said to have had a fling with Ms Ghorbani in 2011 soon after she interviewed him, while he was married to singer Nicole Appleton.

Secret Traitors red cloak twist explained – everything you need to know – The Mirror
Need to know
Claudia Winkleman announced The Traitors latest twist on tonight’s show, bringing an epic new focus to the hit BBC show as the latest group of hopefuls enter the castle
The Secret Traitor in the red cloak is going to change the game enormously – the Faithful just don’t know it yet
Everything you need to know about The Traitors’ red cloak twist
Claudia announced the twist by telling viewers: “I’m also going to pick a Secret Traitor and nobody will know who that is – not the Traitors and not even you. It’s naughty isn’t it?”
The idea is to give viewers a taste of what it feels like to be a Faithful and not know who the Traitors are.
The Secret Traitor wears a red cloak while the other three Traitors will stay in the traditional dark green robes. While none of the three normal Traitors know the identity of the Secret Traitor, their new boss will know exactly who they are.
The Secret Traitor’s main power is that they get to dictate which of the Faithful can be murdered each night. So after the first mission, there were ten contenders but the Secret Traitor picked out three for selection – and none of them were who the Traitors wanted to bump off.
The show’s bosses are not saying how long the Secret Traitor will last in the series, only that the regular Traitors will need to fight to win back their power. It is not clear at this stage what happens if the Secret Traitor is selected for banishment at the roundtable.
When the trailer dropped on Christmas Day fans speculated that the red cloak could signify the return of a previous Traitor. In fact, it just means that the Traitors no longer have all the power in the castle.
The Secret Traitor will not select themselves or any of the Traitors to be killed. So each name on the murder shortlist provides the Traitors with new information; it tells them that those selected are genuine Faithfuls.
Winkleman said viewers could expect some “juicy roundtables” in the forthcoming series of The Traitors
Viewers have been sharing their theories on social media after a teaser released on Christmas Day showed a figure wearing a red cloak, in a departure from the usual green worn by the traitors.
“All I will say is there’s something new, and what happens in this series is truly extraordinary with moments that made me gasp,” Winkleman said ahead of the series launch.
Details of the new twist will not be revealed until the show’s fourth regular series begins at 20:00 GMT on New Year’s Day.
The new red cloak was revealed in a Christmas Day trailer on BBC One
“I can’t wait for people to see it,” Winkleman added. “The producers have the greatest minds on earth.”
The red cloak has not been seen in past series, and fans have speculated that a new role could be assigned to one of this year’s contestants.
Previous series of The Traitors have seen Winkleman choose three traitors from a group of more than 20 contestants, although more traitors can be recruited later depending on how the game plays out. The other players are known as the faithful.
Although the meaning of the red cloak and details of who might be wearing it are under wraps for now, Winkleman told journalists earlier this month that the next series “gets pretty twisty”.
“The people who create the show, they have to keep on changing it,” she explained, “and they tell me ideas, and I’m like, ‘Are you joking?’
“So, yeah, I love it.”
Cat Burns and Alan Carr starred in the first series of The Celebrity Traitors in the autumn
Winkleman also remarked that the confrontations between contestants are “hardcore” in this series. “We get some very juicy roundtables,” she said. “It gets very heated… it gets ugly.
“We’ve never seen it played like this brilliant cast play it. They play it in such an extraordinary way.
“You think, I’ve seen this, it’s going to go down this route – and all I can say is it absolutely doesn’t.”
The new series comes just two months after the conclusion of the show’s first celebrity spin-off, which was one of the biggest TV hits of 2025.
“We were blown away by how successful The Celebrity Traitors was,” said Mike Cotton, creative director of production company Studio Lambert.
“We had parents coming up to us and thanking us for reintroducing them to watching TV with their teenagers and children, because it came to be a huge family viewing event. Which you don’t expect for a show about murder, lies and betrayal.”
Former contestants Minah and Linda joined Winkleman for The Traitors at The Proms earlier this year
With catch-up viewing included, the first series of The Celebrity Traitors was watched by more than 15 million viewers.
But, Cotton added, the success of the all-star spin-off, which introduced many viewers to The Traitors brand for the first time, puts “lots of pressure” on the fourth civilian series.
“With celebrities, all the viewers know who those people were. So when you go back to the regular version, these are people you don’t really know, you’ve got to learn to love them,” he noted.
The celebrity series and the fourth civilian series were shot concurrently earlier this year. Winkleman said she noticed how differently the regular contestants behaved, after the celebrities had been so polite.
“In the celebrity one, they were adorable, but at the roundtable they were like, ‘No, no, after you’,” she recalled. “That’s not how this one goes.”
Celebrities and civilians won’t mix
Despite its success, however, Cotton rejected the idea that the show might mix celebrities and civilians in the future, as has happened in some international versions.
“On the American version, series one did mix civilians with reality celebrities, and then from season two onwards we just had reality celebrities,” he said.
“But I think in this show, there’s already the traitors vs the faithful, so you don’t want to have a celebrity vs non-celebrity divide as well.”
Asked if more celebrities had volunteered to be on the next series after the success of the first, Winkleman joked: “They don’t come up to me personally because I don’t leave my bed. But yes, they’ve asked.”
Along with a new series of The Night Manager, The Traitors is at the centre of BBC One’s primetime schedule on New Year’s Day, and will continue with further episodes on Friday and Saturday.
Winkleman says she loves filming with the owl, Sage, who recently fathered a owlet named Onion
Winkleman also joked about the headline-making outfits she often wears on the show, including the boots she uses to do the ominous walk at the roundtable as she’s selecting the traitors.
“The walk round the table is very tense,” she said. “I can’t tell you how many times I walk around it, but I really try and build the tension, which is hideously mean but also quite addictive.
“I try and wear clompy footwear to add to it. I get a bit flamenco. It needs to be incredibly loud. I’m thinking of going tap next time.”
Unlike previous series, which have seen a surprise twist or mission before the contestants even reach Ardross Castle near Inverness, Winkleman revealed that this year’s crop do all make it through the door.
As usual, the show’s opening episode sees the contestants get to know each other before taking part in their first mission, which is on a scale rarely seen on the show before.
Winkleman said the Scottish Highlands “might be the most beautiful place on the planet”. Perhaps her biggest pleasure, however, is filming the traditional opening sequence with the owl who acts as her assistant and delivers the invitations.
“I love that little owl. Isn’t he sweet?” she smiled. “He’s called Sage, although I renamed him Barry after my dad.
“And just recently he fathered a baby owl and they named him Onion,” she laughed. “So you will see Onion in future series, I hope.”
The Traitors airs on BBC One and iPlayer at 20:00 GMT on 1 January.
Here’s hoping that 2026 holds even more for Oasis.

ARIANA GETS A GRANDE HOTEL
ARIANA GRANDE seems to be planning a Wicked time during her rumoured West End stint — including a £1million hotel stay.
I hear the US singer and actress, who is tipped to star in a revival of hit musical Sunday In The Park With George, has included accommodation at the 5H Mandarin Oriental among conditions for her potentially taking the role.

Penthouses at the Hyde Park hotel start from £40,000 a night.
The three-bedroom suite is almost 5,000sq ft, with a walk-in wardrobe and grandstand private terrace.
If the play runs for six weeks, Ariana’s hotel bill would run to more than £1million.
Fans believe she is set to star in a revival of Stephen Sondheim’s 1984 musical Sunday In The Park With George at London’s Barbican Centre in 2027.
If so, she would line up alongside Jonathan Bailey, who played her Wicked character Glinda’s love interest.
A source said: “Ariana wants to stay at the Mandarin when she stars in the play.
“She really appreciates her downtime when she is working on productions and is a huge fan of the hotel.
“Ariana loves London and believes that the Mandarin Oriental has the city’s best views.”
Meanwhile she is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in Wicked: For Good at the Golden Globes in January.
She will then start her The Eternal Sunshine Tour in June, in Oakland, California, to support her album of the same name.
Sounds like she deserves some five-star R&R.

Zoe Slater looks set to leave EastEnders in a huge turn of events – after shopping herself to the police.
In dramatic scenes on EastEnders tonight, Zoe Slater had a confrontation with the father of her children Anthony Trueman.
In a clash in the Queen Vic, both Zoe and Anthony were injured – and it appeared Anthony was fatally attacked.
Kat rushed upstairs to see Zoe and realised what had happened, desperate to help her recently released daughter from ending up inside again. She tried to hatch a plan to help her daughter get away, but Zoe had other ideas.
In a bid to make sure no one else suffered, Zoe decided she needed to call the police and tell them what had happened. Soon, an ambulance and police cars arrived.
Jasmine – Zoe’s recently reunited daughter – watched on, as did a horrified Kat, as Zoe admitted it was her the police wanted and she was taken into custody.
As Celia and Ray’s plans for April become clear, Emmerdale teases a sad twist for the teenager and a gunshot drives fans to fear the worst for two of the soap’s most beloved characters
For months, fans have watched as crime duo Celia (Jaye Griffiths) and Ray (Ray Absolom) have manipulated troubled teen April (Amelia Flanagan) into working for their drug ring and prostitution network.
Though April seemed to have gained some distance from the pair in recent weeks, tonight’s episode saw Celia issue a terrifying ultimatum.
The criminal mastermind met April in a cafe, where the youngster said she would start working for Celia again if she stopped blackmailing her father, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnok) ,alone.
But Celia had other ideas. She told April that she and Ray would be leaving the Dales soon to start up their business somewhere new – and that April would have to come with them, or else.
Celia told April she would need her answer by the end of the following day. When April pointed out this was Christmas, Celia, the village’s resident Scrooge, said: “What difference does that make?”
April is not the only character fans fear will be leaving the soap. Elsewhere in tonight’s episode, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) were left fearing for their lives after Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) took a shot at them… literally.
Evil Kev, who fans have deemed as “psychotic”, has been stalking the couple and is clearly not over Rob choosing to be with Aaron instead of him. While Rob and Aaron were busy affirming their love for each other, Kev ruined the happy moment by aiming a rifle at them from the shadows. Thankfully, he hit a post behind Rob rather than either of the love birds.
Though the police said it must have been poachers, Rob and Aaron knew the truth, especially after they received an envelope with Kev’s wedding ring and a bullet inside it.
Fans were horrified by the danger Rob and Aaron are in and quickly argued the villainous character had lost his mind. One wrote online in all capitals: “Kev U f***ing nutter.” Another added: “Kev is a psycho he needs locking up.”
A third said that they hoped this would show Rob just how “psychotic” Kev was: “Hopefully our boy has realised now there is no reasoning with this crazy psychotic idiot and it’s time to fight back!”
Another felt Kev was now beyond saving. “I can’t see how they can redeem Kev after this…he’s attacked them with a sword, shot at them and that’s just for starters. I really can’t see how ED could keep him after all this.”
Emmerdale fans think they have worked out how it will all end for Celia and Ray ITV soap after a tense scene played out during Wednesday night’s episode of the Yorkshire-based serial

Emmerdale fans think they have worked it out(Image: ITV)
Emmerdale fans think they have worked out who will see to the end of Celia and Ray the ITV soap. The villainous farmer, who has been played by Jaye Griffiths over the last few months, has been carrying out a reign of terror across the Yorkshire village alongside Ray as she heads up a drug dealing operation and slavery ring.
Celia hasn’t acted alone, having recruited teenagers April Windsor and Dylan Penders into her evil scheme. But, mainly, she orchestrates the whole thing with her foster son Ray Walters, whom she took in off the streets several years ago.
The pair may have been a duo for decades, but after Celia scuppered Ray’s romance with Laurel Thomas in the latest episode of the ITV soap by making out he was something he was not, she had her foster son in tears during a tense seen that came at the end.
After slapping him straight across the face, she said: “You think she’ll make you life easier? She won’t! You need someone to keep you real, someone who will stop you drifting off into these fantasies of yours.
“She doesn’t know you, she doesn’t want you the way you think she does because you are weak, Ray. You need someone to tell you when to speak, how to feel, how to exist. And aren’t you lucky that I am still here doing exactly that.”
Ray promptly burst into tears, and Celia coldly said: “Cry if you want to. But wipe your face before anyone sees you. They already pity you, let’s not confirm why.” Celia then left the room and Ray punched the wall in a fit of rage.
Fans of the soap will know that Celia is set to leave Emmerdale after a relatively short stay in the village but have been left puzzled how Ray and Celia have yet to be exposed.
One fan wrote on Reddit: “Ross, Mackenzie, Lewis and Robert all know that Ray is a drug dealer after he wanted Lewis’ weed. Surely one at least one of them would have seen Ray still sniffing around in the village or seen him with Laurel? What’s the likelihood of all 4 of them not seeing Ray still sniffing around in the village? I know Ross saw him a few months ago but that didn’t lead to anywhere apart from Ross warning him to stay away from the village.”
“Yeah one of them would have seen him at least once around the village, in the cafe or the pub. Just so happened that when he’s been in the cafe Nicola has just seen him,” a second added. A third penned: “Did Mackenzie and Lewis meet him? Ross did confront him and he played it off. The only one who could know is Robert but he may not know the range of Ray’s drug business, he’s also not part of Laurel’s social circle,” with another fan responding: “Yep they all met him. It was one of his first appearances in the village. Mackenzie was actually the one who brought Ray to the village.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
