WHEN her 13-year marriage to Patrick Kielty shockingly ended last year, Cat Deeley was left feeling anxious as she navigated a brand new chapter.
But 12 months on, the This Morning star, 49, has undergone a transformation and has a new lease of confidence, The Sun can reveal.

But now, a close friend has revealed to The Sun that Cat is living her new single life to the fullest.
She is not only open to dating again and looking more glamorous than ever, but is making a U-turn when it comes to her famously private home life.
They revealed: “I don’t think I’ve ever seen her like this before. There’s just a lightness to her now.
“She’s saying yes to things she might have dismissed in the past, especially with work but also in her real life off screen.
“She’s been really open, she’s not afraid to be emotional or be herself on TV – she’s just enjoying her life much more.
“She’s even letting people see more of her home life inside her house – she’s filmed a few big brand projects at home, which is quite a big step for her as she and Patrick were extremely private but I guess she is just more relaxed with herself, she’s not overthinking anything and just saying yes to everything that fills her cup.”
Whilst it’s been a long time since Cat was on the dating scene, the pal revealed that the TV star isn’t against getting back out there.
“She is open to dating again, definitely, but it has to feel right. She wouldn’t go on apps because that’s just not her style, well maybe Raya one day, she’s not totally closed off.
“She likes the idea of what’s out there, a bit of flirting, a bit of fun, without any pressure.”
Cat has even shared some content from her home, something she was fiercely private about whilst with PatrickAnd aside from looking ultra-glamorous, the star is said to be feeling ‘genuinely happy’ with her new chapterCredit: Getty
Describing the time with friends as “exactly what she needed”, our source says Cat’s nearest and dearest are helping her live to the fullest.
Whilst her close relationship with co-host Ben has also provided a helping hand, with the broadcaster’s ‘solid’ friendship providing laughs and a shoulder to cry on.
“You can see the difference in her too, she simply looks incredible. Not just glamorous, but genuinely happy,” said the insider.
They added: “It’s that kind of confidence you can’t fake, and people around her have really noticed it. She’s glowing, and I think a lot of that comes from feeling more in control of her own life again.
“It really does feel like a whole new chapter for Cat. She’s happier, more relaxed, and completely herself again and I think that’s why everything seems to be falling into place for her on and off screen.”
DECADES on from when ‘Ladette’ culture dominated the 1990s, the trend appears to be making a comeback – with popular TV stars at the forefront.
Olivia Attwood and Helen Flanagan are leading the charge as they rally against a polished media profile in favour of authenticity… just like original ladettes Sara Cox, Zoe Ball and Denise Van Outen.

From Olivia’s raucous holiday with Pete Wicks instead of her husband, to Helen starring in steamy dating shows with three kids at home, the girls are proving they won’t apologise for doing what they want – despite facing backlash over their part in the era’s resurgence.
It follows a spell of female stars in the spotlight – like Holly Willoughby – who took on the “good girl” image – with any suggestion of naughtiness carefully constructed for dramatic effect.
PR and Entertainment expert Lynn Carratt said: “The ladette era was famous in the late 90s, early 00s as an era in which women ruled supreme.
“And now it appears the boozy and unfiltered 90s trend is enjoying a second wave.

“TV stars Olivia Attwood and Helen Flanagan appear to be leading the revival with the same throwback energy – loud, emotional, unpredictable, and unapologetically visible – like Sara Cox and Zoe Ball, back in the day.”
While Holly Willoughby was famous for juggling being the nation’s sweetheart on This Morning, alongside her role as a doting wife and mother of three, younger female celebrities don’t feel the need to pretend they have it all figured out.
The 45-year-old would feign shock and giggle behind her hand at any filthy humour on her ITV2 show Celebrity Juice, which aired after 9pm, but her hangovers after the National Television Awards became a well known skit.
In 2016, dressed in her ballgown from the night before, Holly hosted This Morning alongside Phillip Schofield in a tux, telling viewers: “I haven’t been home yet. I came straight here.”
It became a running joke every year about Holly’s “wild” night out – but those behind the scenes suggest it was all carefully curated.

Then, along came former Love Island star Olivia who has become ITV‘s newest darling – presenting a host of shows including Bad Boyfriends and Getting Filthy Rich.
The 34-year-old has recently separated from her husband of three years, footballer Bradley Dack.
She says the split has made her feel “incredibly passionate” about being self-sufficient.
“Navigating what I’ve been going through, the fact I have my own place and car, I can’t even imagine not being able to look after myself,” she says.

Last summer, she ended up in the doghouse with her then-husband Brad when she was pictured cuddled up to close pal Pete on a yacht in Ibiza.
The pair have since struck up a secret romance following her marriage split in January. Pals insist “there was no overlap”.
Soon after her wild week with pals in Ibiza where she was spotted dancing on a boat in a thong bikini, downing shots and posting hungover pics, Olivia was back on This Morning presenting.
She posted hungover snaps with PeteCredit: InstagramIt’s a similar snap to Zoe Ball taken at the Brits in 1997Credit: Getty
Lynn added: “You have to hand it to Olivia Attwood, she has managed to do what few reality stars achieve to do and turn notoriety into a high-profile media career.
“She is a permanent fixture on ITV with presenting roles and prime-time appearances, she has built a success podcast brand, as well as appearing on Kiss.
“She one of reality TV’s most in-demand personalities and has developed a polished media profile. But sitting alongside that something far more chaotic behind the scenes: headline-making holidays, relationship drama and brutally honest social media posts that regularly ignite debate and she likes to party.
“One minute she’s fronting glossy TV projects, the next she’s dominating tabloid headlines with candid revelations about love, life and everything in between.
“It seems like controlled chaos, but it’s working for her.”

She has been outspoken about the criticism she’s faced for taking part, particularly as a mother.
‘I find it empowering,” Helen said previously.
“There have been comments on social media suggesting I shouldn’t be doing a show like that as a mum of three, but no one would say that about a dad.
“Women should be allowed to have fun and enjoy themselves too.”
Helen Flanagan is currently appearing on Celebrity Ex on the BeachCredit: Times Newspapers LtdHelen with her three kids she shares with footballer ex Scott SinclairCredit: Instagram
Lynn added: “Helen has stepped firmly back into the reality TV spotlight and is currently appearing on Celebrity Ex on the Beach, enjoying herself in a villa under 24/7 filming, sun-soaked conditions and constant emotional scrutiny.
“The former soap star and mum of three was filmed constantly in bikinis, drinking, flirting and kissing on screen, embracing a level of unfiltered reality television that feels ripped straight from the early 2000s.
“Helen’s comments strike at the heart of the debate surrounding modern ladette culture: who gets to be seen as ‘wild’, and who gets judged for it.”
So why now is there a resurgence of the 90s ladette era?
Lynn continues: “In an era of heavily curated Instagram perfection and tightly managed celebrity branding, audiences are increasingly drawn to the opposite – unpredictability, imperfection and personalities who don’t play it safe.
“Olivia Attwood and Helen Flanagan sit at the centre of this shift.
“One balancing mainstream ITV success with headline-grabbing personal drama, the other embracing high-emotion reality television where nothing is off-limits.
“And right now, they are doing anything but staying quiet.”
AFTER literally breaking the scales, Alison Hammond has spent recent years vehemently denying fat jabs helped her to shed 13st.
And we can reveal her astonishing weight loss is actually the result of an adventurous gym routine, a toyboy boyfriend and a £2.85 supermarket secret.

A close pal said: “Alison was mortified when she stepped on the scales in 2020 and her weight was so high the sensor broke.
“It stopped at anything over 29st, so she has no idea exactly how much she weighed back then.
“It was a real wake-up call and she began a strict diet that day.
“People are constantly accusing her of cheating and saying that she’s on fat jabs, but she’s not.
“They weren’t even around then.”
Instead, the Great British Bake Off host, 51, has been munching on Itsu crispy seaweed thins — with just 24 calories in a pack.
Her mate added: “When shoppers see her in Tesco the trolley is usually packed high with boxes of Itsu seaweed snacks.
“She eats about four packs a day.
“Instead of toffees she’s addicted to seaweed.”
It is a far cry from the terrifying moment a few years ago that kickstarted her bid to get healthy.
Being prediabetic — the point where your blood sugar is higher than normal but not high enough yet to be diabetic — genuinely terrified her as it can bring serious health problems.
Following her doctor’s grave warning in November 2020, and in a desperate bid to reverse her diagnosis, the popular This Morning host made a plea to viewers live on air.
Begging for help
“I need some help,” she said bravely.
“I’ve really got to change my ways, if you guys see me out there buying sweets or chocolates, please I’m begging you, I’m not allowed to have it.
“It’s serious now.”
Viewers were quick to react, messaging the show in their droves with supportive comments and sharing their own struggles too.
I thought, ‘I have to be an adult about this’. The sweets had to stop and the fatty foods.
Alison of changing her life
“Ali knew she was morbidly obese and was genuinely concerned that she was going to die,” says her pal.
“But the encouragement from viewers really touched her.
“It inspired her to make changes.”
She previously said that her mother Maria, who died in January 2020 from lung and liver cancer, influenced her decision to overhaul her lifestyle.
“She was worried for me, so when I then found out I was prediabetic, that was frightening.
“I thought, ‘I have to be an adult about this’.
“The sweets had to stop and the fatty foods.”
It was not the first time Alison had tried to lose weight.
She had a gastric band fitted after a chair broke underneath her while she was interviewing actor Matt Damon in 2007.

However, following the op, Alison experienced complications and “couldn’t keep anything down”.
After two years, she decided to have the procedure reversed.
Then, ten years later, she appeared on TV show Sugar Free Farm, which followed celebs as they embraced a sugar-free diet and farm work.
While she managed to lose two stone on the show, the side effects from the sugar withdrawal left her feeling dizzy and sick.
Now Alison, who is mum to Aidan, 21, works out three to five times a week with her personal trainers Lui Mancini and Ellis Gatfield.
She combines strength training, boxing and Pilates rather than cardio and when she is busy working she enjoys walking.
A video posted by Lui displayed her hard at work with kettlebells, medicine balls and a punching bag.
But no doubt also helping Alison’s confidence — and her weight loss — is her lover.
The couple kept their relationship secret for about a year but now it is very much out in the open and despite the 22-year-age gap they are desperately in love.
“It was pretty much love at first sight,” said her pal.
“She fell totally head over heels with David and he’s besotted with her.
“When you see them together it’s so sweet.
“He gets on really well with her son too.”
But a change in her diet has had the most dramatic effect on her.
In a bid to reverse her prediabetes she has cut back on sweets and fatty foods — which has not been easy, especially as the host of C4’s Great British Bake Off, where she is surrounded by temptation.
“Ali was completely addicted to toffees,’ says her pal.
“She would eat bags of them.”
For people who need to use them, weight-loss jabs are a good thing. But for me, as soon as I hear any scare story, I get frightened.
Alison on using fat jabs
But these days she relies on seaweed.
The salty snack, combined with a rigorous exercise regime, has seen her weight drop to under 17st.
She now drinks two litres of water a day and has a high-protein diet with lots of chicken and turkey mince bolognese.
“She eats half of what she used to eat,” revealed her friend.
Alison, who also hosts Your Song on Channel 4, previously told how weight loss jabs were not for her because she was “frightened” by “scary” stories surrounding them.
She said: “For people who need to use them, weight-loss jabs are a good thing.
“But for me, as soon as I hear any scare story, I get frightened.
“So I haven’t wanted to use them, but that’s not to say I wouldn’t in the future, and I certainly wouldn’t look down on anyone who did.”
But industry insiders have warned there could be an issue if her slimdown becomes too extreme, especially as she vies for the presenting gig on Strictly.
“There’s a fear that if she gets too skinny she might not be as popular with her fans,” said another source.
Pals insist Alison has no intention of losing her curves or trademark sparkle.
Her journey has never been about fitting into a certain dress size but building a healthy life.
During an interview on Loose Women last year, she summed up her attitude perfectly: “You know what, all I can do is be me.
“I can’t do anything else.
“I’m a black, big, bubbly woman, who is slowly deflating a little bit.”
Only time will tell if Alison’s nextsteps will be into the ballroom.
But one thing is for certain, it will be seaweed, and not Ozempic, in her handbag.

This Morning presenter Alison Hammond has addressed the 22-year age gap between her and her boyfriend David Putman, as she issued an update on their relationship
Alison has spoken about her relationship with a man 22 years her junior(Image: Instagram)
Birmingham-born telly star Alison Hammond has addressed the 22-year age gap between herself and her partner, Russian model and massage therapist David Putman, telling the Daily Mail: “I completely understand why people are interested when there’s a 22-year gap,” before questioning: “But what I find interesting is that it’s not as interesting when it’s the man who is older. Why is that? I just want people to be happy for us. We are absolutely in love.”
The presenter first encountered the towering 6ft 10in model after booking him for a £150 massage. Sparks flew instantly between them. According to Alison, they complement each other perfectly, with David being “mature and sensible”, while she admits she’s “so not”.
Gushing about her beau, Alison said: “He just has the most beautiful energy and everyone feels it when they’re in his presence. It’s very rare. I am so grateful that he chooses to spend his life with me.”
Wedding bells aren’t ringing quite yet for the loved-up couple, though Alison playfully teasedThis Morning audiences about a possible engagement during a celebrity gossip segment last summer.
While discussing the day’s headlines alongside co-presenter Dermot O’Leary, Alison spotted articles about herself: “Oh my God! Apparently I am engaged?” she gasped, before joking, “Let me swap it over to stop these rumours,” as she shifted her eye-catching diamond ring to another finger.
Alison revealed in December that neither she nor her partner feels any urgency to tie the knot: “We live together, and we’re happy the way it is. I don’t need a ring to show my love to somebody. What I will say is, if he asked me tomorrow to marry him, it wouldn’t be a ‘no’. That’s all I’m going to say to you.”
The mother-of-one, whose wealth is estimated at around £4 million, has previously stated she prefers to keep details of her personal life private. She said: “I don’t like to go into detail about him, because it’s my private life, and I want to respect his life as well.”
Nevertheless, she noted that those close to her are fully aware she is completely “loved-up.”
The Bake Off and Love of Dogs presenter shared that being in a relationship makes her “more patient” and “kinder”, adding that she cherishes having someone to “care for”.
The sole difficulty in their romance appears to be David’s mother, Olga, who is said to disapprove of the age-gap relationship. A source close to the pair told The Sun that Olga, 64, believes Alison is too mature for David and is uncomfortable with how Alison’s fame has thrust him into the public eye.
“She’s uncomfortable that her son is with someone who has so much more financial power than him,” the insider revealed. “Olga’s traditional values don’t sit well with their relationship. She’s told him in no uncertain terms that he must end it.”
Another source added: “Olga raised her children in the Orthodox Church. This kind of relationship doesn’t fit her beliefs.” She has reportedly made several calls to David from her home in Sochi, on the Black Sea coast, urging him to rethink his decisions.
Despite his mother’s misgivings, David remains content with how his romance with Alison is progressing, and it seems unlikely that her concerns will have any bearing on his choices.

Mum-of-three Holly and her telly producer husband Dan Baldwin, 50, bought the six-bedroom home in South West London last year.
Her sauna search comes as the ex-This Morning host and former golden girl of ITV shuns traditional broadcasters and prepares a comeback on YouTube with an edgier image.
A source recently told The Sun: “Charli XCX might think she’s the original Brat girl, but Holly will give her a run for her money.”
She appeared to put her band’s woes to one side as she posed for pictures with her longtime friend Holly.
Baby Spice got into the spirit of things by donning a pair of Mickey Mouse ears as well as a tie with the famous character on it.
She looked chic in a white shirt tucked into a pair of straight leg jeans and a cream wool coat.
Emma wore her blonde locks straight and opted for a subtle make-up look.
Meanwhile, Holly wore a black t-shirt tucked into jeans with a black coat and some brown boots.
She too got into the Disney spirit with a set of ears as the two put on their widest smiles for photos.
The two women have been firm friends for several years and are often spotted socialising with their group of friends, including Melanie Blatt and Christine Lampard.

Alison’s romance was a surprise to many due to David’s age, with her beau thought to be turning 29 next month.
However, Alison – who is a mum to 20-year-old son Aiden – has said their love transcends any age barriers in a new admission.
Addressing the difference, the TV star explained: “I completely understand why people are interested when there’s a 22-year gap, but what I find interesting is that it’s not as interesting when it’s the man who is older.”
Talking to the Daily Mail, she continued: “Why is that? I just want people to be happy for us.
Ahead of spending Christmas together, along with her son Aiden, Alison gushed over her other half.
“Things are going really, really well,” she told the Mirror.
She continued: “He just has the most beautiful energy and everyone feels it when they’re in his presence. It’s very rare.
“I am so grateful that he chooses to spend his life with me.”
Alongside working as a model, David is a massage therapist and first met Alison when she booked in for a massage back in 2023.
Hitting it off, the pair have been going strong ever since.
While they don’t often make public appearances together, Alison has shared a handful of snaps with David to Instagram over their relationship.
Previously addressing their age gap, she assured that David’s maturity makes things work so well.
Alison told Good Housekeeping: “I can see how, on paper, you’d notice the age difference.
“Yes, I’m 22 years older than he is, but if you saw us together, you’d understand. People have said to me, ‘We get it now.’”

This Morning star Sharon Marshall has spoken out for the first time, revealing she was taken to hospital in an ambulance after her severe hay fever saw her almost go into cardiac arrest

Sharon Marshall reveals hay-fever led to her ‘going into cardiac arrest’
This Morning star Sharon Marshall has revealed for the first time her terrifying health ordeal, as she was carted off in an ambulance over fears she was in cardiac arrest – but she was actually suffering from hay fever.
Sharon, 54, spoke candidly about how her complex hay fever – which was misdiagnosed as adult asthma – once saw her collapse in the doctors office, which lead her to being rushed to hospital in an ambulance as paramedics feared she was going into cardiac arrest. The Queen of Soaps sat on the This Morning sofa today to reveal her complex health woes and how the ordeal unfolded.
Speaking to Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley on the This Morning sofa, alongside Professor Adam Fox, Sharon revealed she got ill when she was training to run the marathon and initially ruled out symptoms as being unfit. She recalled waking up in the middle of the night not being able to breathe – which Sharon didn’t realise was an asthma attack at the time.

Sharon explained that the ordeal happened in the middle of the night so she decided to wait until the morning to see the doctor. She recalled: “I remember sort of waiting until nine o’clock, ringing the doctor’s surgery and they were like, ‘oh God, come in immediately,’ going out the flat and luckily a black cab came past, got me in the back, took me in and he helped me to the door. And I don’t really remember much past that because I just collapsed in the doctor’s surgery and I came round in the back of an ambulance.”
She continued: “I said, ‘Oh what’s happening’ and they said, ‘we’re taking you to hospital’ and my first reaction was, ‘will I be going back’ and I they said, ‘No probably not’ and I said, ‘well can I just go by the house and feed my cat’. And this lovely guy who was just saying: ‘You’re going into cardiac arrest, we’re trying to take you into hospital to save your life no you can’t feed your cat’.”
Sharon stayed in hospital for a week but doctors struggled to get to the root cause. Sharon was then diagnosed with adult onset asthma. She explained: “So for years and years, I started taking asthma inhaler and then every year, not realising pollen season would come around and I would start getting asthmatic again. I was on the strongest asthma inhaler every single day. I was going through an asthma inhaler set in a week – horrible steHowever, Sharon revealed that every spring she would continue to get “really breathless and really ill”. Sharon continuned to go to the doctors in search for more answers and even struggled to wak up the stairs in the doctor’s surgery.
At one point, Sharon was even tested for lung cancer. She revealed: “So every year it was just this terrifying thing of, ‘I can’t breathe’ – stronger and stronger steroids and asthma inhalers.” Sharon revealed a visit to the This Morning studios changed her health for good.
Sharon had come into the studio and struggled to breathe while having her makeup done, which saw the crew call a medic as she was going into another asthma attack.
She added: “And, lukcily, in the studio, doing an item about allergies was our lovely professor here, who was able to work out, ‘Oh there’s a time of year that this seems to be happening’.”roids, Mysoline [an anticonvulsant medication] and all these things.”

Professor Adam then explained Sharon has seasonal allergic asthma. Professor Adam then explained: “So the problem isn’t chronic all the time asthma, it’s just that when your hay fever is bad enough, if you imagine the lining of your nose is connected to the lining of your lungs. So if your upper airway because of the hayfever is really angry, can send really angry signals down to your lower airway, your lungs, and give you what listens will be an asthma attack.
