Anya Jade Sadler recently travelled to Magaluf with a friend as the pair wanted to soak up the sun; however, despite hoping to catch a tan, they ended up coming home with something totally different

There’s nothing like jetting off on holiday to spend some time in the sun but, sometimes, you don’t always come home with a tan. Anya Jade Sadler recently shared her experience of travelling to Spain, and it’s fair to say Magaluf was a little different to what she expected.
She shared a clip on TikTok which showed her and another woman at the party hotspot, and she admitted they ventured on holiday in a bid to get some September sun. Despite their intentions, it seems mother nature had other plans, as the weather made it rather tricky to catch a tan at the popular destination.
Magaluf has long had a reputation for being a party hotspot, and it’s also known for the good weather. However, Anya seems to have been left a little underwhelmed by the experience, and it’s not the first time Magaluf has left someone amazed.
Over a video of them dancing in the rain, Anya wrote: “POV: You come to Maga for September sun.” Underneath, her friend cheekily quipped: “Knew I should have packed my wellie boots.”

Based on the video shared, it seems as though the only thing they will return home with is soggy clothes, as their shorts and vest tops look soaking as they walk around in the rain. Though they have sunglasses on their heads, it’s clear they don’t need them as the sky is totally grey.
Even though the rain pours in the clip, they seem to make the best of the situation. Luckily, they could laugh about it, even though they hoped to top up their tans while being away.
Little you may know, this week the municipality of Calvià (Palmanova, Magaluf, Illetas and Paguera) was hit by a severe storm with strong winds and heavy rain. The weather led to several incidents across the area.
This week Palma in particular saw the impact of the high winds, as the area witnessed up-rooted trees and damage to property and vehicles. Delays were also experienced on some flights.
However, it looks as though the weather is set to improve for the rest of the week, with sunnier climates being predicted. According to the Met Office, highs of 29°C will be seen this week, with sunny weather mostly forecast.
It should be noted that, generally speaking, Magaluf is hot and pleasant in September, with daytime temperatures typically reaching highs of around 26°C to 28°C. As well as this, warm sea temperatures usually lie at around 25°C, making it ideal for beaches and outdoor activities.
Visitors should be mindful that it can still be slightly cooler, and there is a greater potential for scattered rain showers when compared to the peak summer months. During the evenings, temperatures are usually around 16°C to 20°C.
TUI states: “Summers in Magaluf are typically warm, making September a pleasant month to visit. During this time, visitors can expect mild temperatures, moderated rainfall and plenty of sunshine, creating perfect conditions for outdoor exploration.
“The weather is typically conducive to enjoying the outdoor sights and local attractions of this picturesque Spanish locale. Rainfall in September tends to be occasional and scattered, not typically intense or persistent.
“It should not notably disrupt outdoor plans, so travellers can feel confident in arranging their daily excursions.”

FOR warm weather, beach resorts and mountain views, Tunisia is slowly becoming the hot new destination again.
The African country had been a popular spot with Brits for years up until the attack in Sousse 10 years ago – but numbers reveal it is rising in popularity once again.

Tunisia has so much to offer for an autumn or winter break for Brits wanting sun, sea and sand.
In November, you can easily laze about on a beach in Tunisia as temperatures can still reach at 20C.
The most popular beaches in Tunisia include Hammamet which is known for its long sandy shores and Sousse, a lively resort town.
Ten years ago, the attack at the Bardo Museum in Tunis followed by the one on the beach resort in Sousse, resulted in plummeting bookings for Brits heading to Tunisia.
Now, statistics have revealed that holidaymakers are returning to the country in similar numbers.
Foreign arrivals to Tunisia have jumped by nearly 10 per cent this year compared with 2024, reaching 5.3 million through July 20, according to the National Tourism Office.
The government hopes to attract 11 million visitors by the end of the year – which is a million more than in 2024.
Back in 2014, there were 7.1 million tourists visiting the country, one year later in 2015, that dropped to 5.3 million.
The capital of Tunisia is Tunis, and is found on the northeastern coast.
Visitors to the city will find an ancient Medina and Roman Mosaics as well as plenty of bars and restaurants.

Some of the towns have been described as looking more like GreeceCredit: Getty
Just outside of the capital is the pretty town of Sidi Bou Said which has a completely different feel with white coloured houses and cobbled streets.
It has lots of al fresco eateries and small art galleries with a marina on a sandy beach.
Lisa said that one thing she noticed was that it had an uncanny resemblance to the Greek islands.
Like Mykonos and Santorini, Djerba has vibrant pink bougainvillaea and white-washed buildings with blue window shutters and doors – unlike Greece, coffee costs 25p.
Lisa said: “Relatively undiscovered by us Brits, Djerba is a great-value option for those looking to explore beyond the Med favourites.
“Sizzling insummer, temperatures remain high all the way through to November and rarely dip below the 20Cs, even in the depths ofwinter, making it ideal for out-of-season sunshine.“

The island is a great place to explore for any fans of Star Wars as the small town of Erriadh was used as a filming location.
Back on the mainland, the city of Tataouine was said to have inspired the location for Star Wars with its desert look and unique house exteriors.
George Lucas, the creator of Star Wars, even called his fictional planet, Tatooine.
EasyJet runs flights to Tunisia from multiple airports across the UK – one-way flights from London Southend to Enfidha in November are as cheap as £26.
It launched year-round flights to the island of Djerba from bothLondonLutonandManchester with one-way flights starting from £35 in November.
EasyJet even runs multiple tours from Djerba, over the ancient Roman Road that crosses the sea to southern Tunisia.
TUI also offer all inclusive holidays to Tunisia, as do Thomas Cook and On the Beach to name a few.
It was also the last time son Jack saw his dad, he shared in a new YouTube video.
“My dad was great. He was in a good mood he was happy,” he said.
“I woke up in Los Angeles to a knock on my house door at around 3.45 in the morning.
“Someone who has worked for my family for about 30 years now was knocking on my door and when I looked through my window and I saw it was him, I knew something bad had happened.
“I was informed that my father had passed.”
The grieving son continued: “So many thoughts, there was a level of like “okay, he’s not struggling. He’s not suffering anymore”. And that is something.
“I wish he was still here, you know? I wish he was still with us all, but he was having a rough go and I think people saw that at the show.”
Jack rushed back to England to support his family, and prepare for the funeral, as well as a procession through Birmingham in his father’s memory.

“I speak for the family when I saw this. We are so grateful for that and it meant so much…. it was validating because I know we weren’t alone”, Jack added.
The late rock legend’s son previously shared a heartwarming clip to Instagram and explained how hand-written letters, memorabilia, and merch were being “carefully preserved”.
Jack told how every item will be recorded on a digital database and given to the Osbourne family.

He said: “I haven’t really wanted to post anything since the passing of my father. My heart has hurt too much.
“I’m gonna keep this short because he certainly hated long rambling speeches.
“He was so many things to so many people, but I was so lucky and blessed to be apart of a very small group that got to call him “Dad.”
“My heart is full of so much sadness and sorrow, but also so much love and gratitude.”
Jack continued: “I got 14,501 days with that man and I know that is such a blessing. I think this quote best describes my father.
“Hunter S. Thompson once said: “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body… but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, ‘Wow! What a ride!'”
He added: “That was my dad. He lived and he lived his life fully. I love you dad.”
In recent years, Ozzy had been battling numerous health conditions, including Parkinson’s.
His official death certificate lists ‘acute myocardial infarction’ and ‘out of hospital cardiac arrest’ under the cause of death section.
It also listed coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction as “joint causes” of Ozzy’s death.
In his final performance, Ozzy sang five songs in his own set, with fans waving torches from their phones during Mama, I’m Coming Home.
He finished his performance with Crazy Train, before confetti rained over a packed Villa Park.

Washington designates Venezuela’s Tren de Agarua gang as a Maduro-backed terror group.
President Donald Trump, 79, confirmed US forces attacked the boat, killing 11.
Speaking from the Oval Office today, Trump said: “Over the last few minutes we just shot out a drug carrying boat, a lot of drugs on that boat.
“You’ll be seeing that, it just happened moments ago, our Great General and head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who has been so incredible, including what took place in Iran knocking out potential nuclear power, I think within a month they would have had it if we didn’t do what we did.
Inside Rocket City, Alabama, the birthplace of Nasa ships that put man on moon as Trump taps it as Space Command center
“And there’s more where that came from. There’s a lot of drugs pouring into our country. These came out of Venezuela, a lot of things are coming out of Venezuela. We took it out.”
Meanwhile Secretary of State Marco Rubio posted on X: ” The US military conducted a lethal strike… against a drug vessel which had departed from Venezuela and was being operated by a designated narco-terrorist organization.”
A senior defense official confirmed further information on the “precision strike” would “be made available at a later time.”
This comes amid rising tension between Caracas and Washington.
Last week the US leader sent warships to Venezuela as the country’s dictator moved 15,000 troops to the border with Colombia.
Three US destroyers and 4,000 marines are sailing towards the South American coastline as tensions skyrocket.
Trump has accused President Nicolas Maduro of “mass murder, drug trafficking, sex trafficking, and acts of violence and terror across the United States and Western Hemisphere”.
The White House previously accused the Tren de Aragua of having “unlawfully infiltrated the United States and are conducting irregular warfare and undertaking hostile actions against the United States.”
The 1798 Act was last used to justify the internment of Japanese-American civilians during World War 2.
The Alien Enemies Act of 1798 gives gargantuan levels of authority to the Republican to target and remove undocumented immigrants.
It is designed as a law to be invoked if the US is at war with another country or a nation has invaded the US or threatened to do so.
The proclamation called for all of those subject to the measure to be arrested, detained and removed immediately.
Trump said in a proclamation: “All Venezuelan citizens 14 years of age or older who are members of TdA, are within the United States, and are not actually naturalized or lawful permanent residents of the United States are liable to be apprehended, restrained, secured, and removed as Alien Enemies.”
But, a judge quickly blocked Trump from invoking the act and ordered any flights carrying the gang members to turn around with the order now set for a battle through the courts.
Tren de Aragua is a transnational criminal organisation and U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization from Venezuela.
Believed to have over 5,000 members, Homeland Security officials labeled the group “high-threat,” according to US media reports.
In comments after the strike today, the US president wrote on X: “Earlier this morning, on my Orders, Military Forces conduced a kinetic strike against positively identified Tren de Aragua Narcoterrorists in the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility.
“TDA is a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization, operating under the control of Nicolas Maduro, responsible for mass murder, drug trafficking, sex trafficking, and acts of violence and terror across the United States and Western Hemisphere.
“The strike occurred while the terrorists were at sea in International waters transporting illegal narcotics, heading to the United States.
“The strike resulted in 11 terrorists killed in action. No US Forces were harmed in this strike.
“Please let this serve as a notice to anybody even thinking about bringing drugs into the United States of America. BEWARE! Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
The president appeared on Tuesday to announce that U.S. Space Command headquarters will move from Colorado to Alabama.
He was then asked if he had seen the viral claims that he was no longer living.
“Really? I didn’t see that. That’s pretty serious!” Trump said, before insisting he had been busy behind the scenes.
“I did numerous interviews and had some pretty poignant posts on my social media site. I was very active over the weekend,” he added, noting that he also visited “some people” at his golf club in Sterling, Virginia.
The press conference had been called to announce that U.S. Space Command headquarters will move from Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Huntsville, Alabama — a reversal of Joe Biden’s 2023 decision to keep the base in Colorado.
Trump originally reestablished Space Command in 2018, saying its mission was to defend U.S. interests in space.

AN EASYJET cabin manager has lost an appeal after being sacked for calling female co-workers “lovely ladies”.
Ross Barr was fired for gross misconduct after crew members and passengers logged multiple complaints about his inappropriate behaviour.

Ross Barr dubbed his comments ‘banter’

Customers reported how he used the tannoy as platform to perform his own comedy routinesCredit: Media Scotland
He had worked for the airline for eight years, and defended his actions as “flirty banter”.
Mr Barr also claimed he was discriminated against or his sexual orientation, alleging it would have been accepted if “a gay colleague” have made the same remarks.
The former cabin manager appealed the decision to let him go at an employment tribunal, but lost.
Mr Barr began working at easyJet in 2014 and became a cabin manager in 2017.
He was hauled into a disciplinary hearing in 2022 and issued a final warning after a sexual harassment complaint.
More allegations of a similar nature were recorded against him in both 2023 and last year.
Customers also claimed he would refer to his team as “lovely ladies” over the PA system.
Passengers further reported he used the tannoy as an opportunity to perform his own comedy routines rather that conduct proper safety briefings.
Mr Barr had confessed to telling a stewardess “oh I have just brushed past your boobs” as he moved past her.
He was also overheard telling another cabin crew member on a separate flight: “I’m not doing anything.. I’m just staring at your ass.”
The comment was made in front of flyers, including young children, according to witnesses.
In another complaint, one woman said: “The entire shift pretty much he was talking about sex or making jokes about it.
“He explained that he had been suspended before due to a speak up speak out that someone previously put in against him because ‘all I said was that her tits would get bigger if she got pregnant, and guess what they did’.
“She also said that he had referred to her and another crew member as his ‘much more attractive colleague’.”
A different complaint was logged after he told a staff member “having a problem trying to stuff it in? Bet you’ve never had that problem”, while she was packing a bag.
Mr Barr argued he did not mean to make anyone uncomfortable and dubbed his comments “banter”.
He was sacked in September 2024 after the hearing but appealed the decision.
The former easyJet worker argued his case had been tainted by previous hearings.
But employment Judge Muriel Robison ruled: “As the cabin manager you are in a position of trust and I feel there has been a breakdown in trust in relation to these situations, you should conduct yourself in a manner that ensures your crew feel safe onboard the aircraft.
“This is not the first time you have been in this situation with regard to your conduct and comments made to female crew members.
“You raised that you were treated differently compared to others under similar circumstances due to your protected characteristics.
“My investigation did not uncover any evidence to substantiate this claim.
“It’s my belief the process followed was consistent and fair, and you were not treated any differently to your colleagues.
“On 19 March, 2024, you successfully completed training that included a thorough focus on diversity, inclusion and equality in the workplace.
“Despite this, your continued behaviour demonstrated a failure to uphold the values and principles outlined in this training.”
Passenger Shayanne Wright made a sexual harassment complaint against the male host and said the incident left her feeling “violated.”
A British Airways spokesperson confirmed the allegations were being investigated and said the airline “have been in contact with our customer directly to resolve the matter”.
Wright said the airline did not apologise to her, however offered a $250 gift card, later increased to $1000.

McGregor, 37, has been putting in the work on the Thai pads during his recent stay in Italy and has since started sparring.
Footage of the former two-division champion trading heavy leather with two young sparring partners started doing the rounds on social media last weekend.
McGregor didn’t take it lightly on his training partners for the day, throwing some full-pelt shots their way.
The Dubliner’s apparent refusal to take it easy on the youngsters annoyed several MMA fans, one of whom wrote on X: “Hmmm. Not a good look for McGregor.”
Another said: “Still an embarrassing show. He is such a shell of his former self.”
And another said: “Bullying young fighters.”
One remarked: “Embarrassing, TBH.”
Another chimed in: “McGregor beating up 12-year-old kids – what a downfall.”
He was set to make his grand cage comeback last June against Michael Chandler but withdrew from the Sin City showdown after breaking his left pinky toe.
McGregor took a major step towards returning to the cage late last month by re-entering the UFC‘s drug testing pool.

Santa Cruz, the vibrant capital of Tenerife, is a favourite amongst holidaymakers with its stunning black and white sand beaches and rugged mountainous landscape.
With a matter of weeks before the end of summer, the UK is already bracing for the cooler temperatures and frequent heavy showers of autumn and winter. Luckily, there is a Spanish port city offering a warm haven for Brits in search of some winter sun.
Tenerife boasts warm temperatures all year round, averaging 24C throughout November and a comfortable 21C well into December, reports the Express.
A post-Christmas getaway to this Spanish city could be just the ticket, especially as Santa Cruz hosts one of the world’s largest carnivals each February.
During the carnival season, the streets of Santa Cruz come alive with music, dancing and a riot of colourful costumes.
Temperatures in the winter can still reach 24C(Image: Getty)
These festivities typically draw around 150,000 tourists, contributing to the nearly one million participants who join in over the approximately five weeks of celebrations.
Outside of the carnival season, Tenerife offers a more tranquil retreat, making it the perfect time to unwind and soak up the rich cultural history of Santa Cruz.
Nestled near the city centre is the Palmetum of Tenerife, a vast botanical garden boasting one of the world’s largest collections of palm trees, where you can also savour breathtaking views of the island’s coastline.
Las Teresitas is the city’s main beach(Image: itchySan via Getty Images)
The main beach in Santa Cruz is Las Teresitas, a stretch of golden sand specially crafted using sands imported from the Sahara desert.
In the bustling port of Santa Cruz, one of Spain’s busiest, holidaymakers can discover the Auditorio, a contemporary concert hall that echoes the design of the Sydney Opera House and is crafted to resemble a ship’s sails.
Tenerife, already a favourite amongst British holidaymakers, is frequently serviced by numerous budget airlines, with a flight time just over four hours from the UK.
Santa Cruz, situated near the North Airport at the island’s peak, offers flights from London for a bargain price of as little as £36 during the winter season, according to Skyscanner.
INDEPENDENT travel agency, InteleTravel, is answering questions about their business practices after The Sun’s investigation shined a light on the true cost of joining their organisation to sell travel.
With glamorous celebrities like Strictly’s Vicky Pattison and TOWIE’s Jess Wright promoting the scheme on their huge social platforms, it was revealed they could be earning over £200,000 as fans sign up to the scheme.

However, our report showed that almost 90 per cent of people don’t make a single penny working as an Independent Travel Agent (ITA) – with many ending up out of pocket.
Those selling travel through the Vicky’s Vacay team will almost certainly have signed up with recruitment firm, PlaNet Marketing, who are a separate company to InteleTravel.
Even though they are different companies, The Sun could find no way of joining InteleTravel without signing up to PlaNet Marketing and paying an initial fee of £140 and then £30 per month thereafter.
Industry experts TTG, have reported that since The Sun called for clarity on how many Brits are affected negatively by joining the scheme, InteleTravel is now reviewing its partnership with the US-headquartered company that recruits agents on its behalf.
In our report, we looked at how likely it is for everyday women and fans of these glamourous celebrities to earn money selling holidays to their friends and family for a small commission.
Social media messaging flaunting a jet-set lifestyle and ability to ‘be your own boss’ is rife on platforms like Instagram.
And it’s not just the celebrities who are at it.
Many ITAs who say they make ‘big money’ from selling travel are, in fact, doing so with an elaborate recreruitment downline.
This means anyone they sign up to their ‘team’ must pay them a commission, as well as the commission to InteleTravel – an ABTA-approved travel agency – on anything they go on to sell.
InteleTravel came under criticism as recruiters for the network, appear to approach people, most-often women and mums, on social media.
Avoid being ripped off by car hire companies with these four top tips
Subtle messaging, which some women who spoke to The Sun allege they are trained for, is used to lure new agents in by telling them a glamorous lifestyle can be achieved while on their family holiday.
It’s heavily implied that a huge salary can be achieved while being a full-time mum or working in another job.
A recruiter told our reporter that she earned £27,000 alongside her full time job in a different sector.
Tricia Handley-Hughes, InteleTravel’s UK and Ireland managing director, insisted the agency’s partnership with PlanNet Marketing had “not run its course” but added: “discussions need to take place”.

Senior industry agents also reacted to the story, calling it “deeply concerning”.
In a article published by trade publication, Travel Weekly, they raised concerns about InteleTravel’s recruitment methods and about the impact of the story on the professional reputation of other agents in the sector.
Advantage Travel Partnership chief executive Julia Lo Bue-Said said: “It’s important to remember the vast majority of travel agents across the UK are highly professional and trustworthy”.
“Being a travel agent is not a hobby. It should never be treated as a casual side hustle to make some extra money”.
While marketing consultant Steve Dunne, chief executive of Digital Drums, said such stories “could push back the reputation of the travel agents a generation”.
A number of InteleTravel agents have reacted to our report in defence of InteleTravel.
They were keen to tell their followers that agents can ‘just sell holidays’ and do not have to sign up to be part of the business responsible for the recruitment of other agents.
James Pirie-Warsop said: “I’ve been with Intele for about two or three years and I’m glad I did [join them]. Yes, there’s a multi-level marketing side, but you don’t have to do it”.
Whilst no-one is forced to recruit a ‘dream team of travel agents’ like Vicky and Jess, official data from the Direct Selling Association reveals that 63 per cent of agents in the sector do go on to build a ‘team’.
InteleTravel’s own figures may differ from the UK wide average, but when asked directlt by The Sun, they declined to comment on the amount their agents earn.

Five used-car favourites selected by a Sun Motors expert
This 5-door family-friendly KIA Venga 1.4 is for sale at a few quid under £2500. OK, so it’s a diesel and it’s nearly 10 years old, but if you’re looking for a reliable runaround, this compact MPV is a great choice.
For the budget-busting price, you’ll get a no-frills motor that’s spacious, safe, and (hopefully) reliable enough for thousands more miles.
A bit of a step up from the KIA is the BMW 2 SERIES 220D XDRIVE. It’s a confident, capable, spacious, and safe grand tourer. OK, so this low-mileage model is diesel, but it’s Euro-6, so it’s not going to cost you a fortune in a congestion zone.
The elevated driving position is comfortable, and BMW’s reputation for reliability makes this a great family car that’s also a little fun once you’ve dropped the monsters off somewhere.
The Volkswagen Golf 1.5 TSI EVO Match Edition is a bit of a beast. The TSI engine is smooth and super-reliable. Inside the car, the Match Trim feels like a real step-up from the standard spec.
The Volkswagen Golf 1.5 TSI EVO Match Edition is a super-hot-hatch that comes used-approved. That means it’s been checked by the experts at VW to ensure it’s ready for the road.
Would you believe that the basic Dacia Sandero is Europe’s top-selling car? Seems everyone from Scots to Swedes loves a bargain. This 2018 Dacia Sandero 1.0 SCe Laureate has fewer than 50,000 miles on the clock, which is nothing for the low-power, high-reliability powertrain.
Bodywork is up together, and it comes in Dacia’s classic gun-metal-gray. This is no-frills motoring available at £100 per month. We love it.
Be honest, the Dacia isn’t going to impress anyone, but the LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT 3.0 will. Buy a used model and you’re getting a high-class motor without taking a massive hit on depreciation.
OK, so £36,000 isn’t cheap, but class costs and the Range Rover Sport have both in spades. It’s a luxury city car that’ll pull jealous looks at the school gate, but a capable off-roader too. We know you won’t want to get it dirty though.
Buying a used car? Check out Sun Motors and find your next vehicle today. Whether you’re looking for automatic, manual or electric, use Sun Motors to decide on your next model.

While formal identification is yet to take place, the body is believed to be Dean.
Durham Constabulary issued an appeal to help find the missing man early on Wednesday.
His mum also posted an appeal on Facebook, writing: “Has anyone seen my son Dean he left home yesterday at 11am to go to the gym at Chester le Street and he hasn’t come home.”
She posted another photo of Dean this evening without a caption.
He had last been seen crossing the road to the cycle path near the Pelton Buffs Social Club just before 11am on Monday.
A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary told ChronicleLive: “We’re very sorry to report that a body has been found in the search for Dean. Sadly, the body of a man was recovered from the Pelton area this afternoon.
“Formal identification has yet to take place, but we believe it to be that of the 35-year-old, from Chester-le-Street. Dean’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The yob seen in the footage was reportedly arrested when he ran out fuel, his bike has been seized.
Chief Superintendent Fiona Gaffney, Chief Operating Officer at NPAS, said: “We’re aware of the video currently circulating on social media and the level of public interest it has generated.
“The circumstances are being thoroughly reviewed internally and in consultation with the Civil Aviation Authority to ensure all relevant standards and procedures have been followed.”
It comes amid talks that police choppers could soon be replaced by police drones.
One unmanned helicopter being trialled by the NPAS is capable of flying at speeds of 115mph and is able to stay airborne for up to six hours.
The NPAS said that the unmanned helicopter, a Schiebel Camcopter S-100, is larger than existing drones used by police forces and has a greater range.
Uncrewed aircraft manufacturer Schiebel selected for UK police trials
The National Police Air Service (NPAS) has selected global manufacturer Schiebel to support its most ambitious trial so far of ‘Beyond the Visual Line of Sight’ (BVLOS) uncrewed aircraft operations.
The aim of the trial was to determine if advancements in aviation technology can bring future benefits to policing and, if they can, how they could be safely introduced into UK airspace.
David Walters, NPAS Head of Futures and Innovation, said: “We will be evaluating how we might integrate uncrewed aircraft into the existing NPAS operating model, under the current management of our CAA-approved Accountable Manager and Form 4 certificate-holders, who are qualified and accountable for the delivery of safe police air operations over England and Wales.”
A BLIND 99-year-old with her heart set on reaching one hundred, has died after being scolded by a cup of tea, an inquest hears.
Margaret Eluned Roberts suffered severe burns after the piping hot black tea spilled onto her at a nursing home in Anglesey, Wales.

Today, an inquest into the elderly woman’s death heard the burn contributed to Mrs Roberts catching a chest infection.
She died roughly five weeks after the incident.
However, a senior coroner has concluded that the death was accidental.
The pensioner’s daughter has slammed GlanRhos nursing home in a recent statement.
Linda Pritchard explained that she received a phone call soon after the incident occurred.
She said she asked “why did they give a blind lady hot black tea?”
Kate Robertson, senior coroner for north westWales, found that Mrs Roberts died from pneumonia and cellulitis secondary to a burn.
Ms Robertson also found that old age, asthma and ischaemic heart disease were contributing factors.
Sarah Thomas, a healthcare assistant at GlanRhos nursing home in Brynsiencyn, who handed Mrs Roberts the cup of black tea, said she knew she was registered blind.
She gave the tea to Mrs Roberts in a plastic, two-handed beaker on September 22 last year, insisting that the pensioner was very independent and “wanted to drink the cup of tea herself.”
Dad, 54, found dead behind garden shed by his wife – two days after freak chainsaw accident
The healthcare assistant went on to explain that she watched Mrs Roberts sip the drink through a straw in the spout then moved away.
The inquest heard, that moments later, she spilt the tea on herself at around 7pm.
Ms Thomas claims she didn’t hear a scream.
Jo Reavey, a nurse, said in a statement that she heard “Eluned shouting in an urgent tone.”
She explained that she found her “distraught with her arms raised” and the beaker “upside down” with “black tea on her trousers.”
The wound started blistering as staff frantically put cold towels on it.
An ambulance was called at 7.51pm and arrived at Glan Rhos nursing home at about 10pm.
Mrs Roberts was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.
The wound was initially eight per cent of her body weight but after reddening reduced it was classified as four per cent.
At the hospital, the pensioner’s blisters were lanced and her wound was dressed before being discharged.
She later returned to the nursing home, however soon after, developed chest problems.
On October 7, Mrs Roberts daughter asked for her mother to be readmitted to Ysbyty Gwynedd.
Doctor Abdul Azu, a consultant physician, told the inquest her condition was not improving.
She died there on October 28, about five weeks after the scalding.
Doctor Azu is confident that the burn contributed to the chest infection and her declining health.
The coroner Mrs Robertson, said Mrs Roberts died on October 28 ‘as a result of the medical conditions which were precipitated by the burn injury sustained on her leg.’
She said the spillage had been ‘unintended and accidental’ and gave the cause of death of Mrs Roberts as an accident.
Mrs Robertson told Mrs Pritchard: ‘Mam wanted to reach 100-years-old. It would have been such a significant milestone for her and for you.’

UFC supremo Dana White has brutally shut down the prospect of Jones fighting on the cardCredit: GETTY
White was initially open to having ‘Bones’ top the bill, but has since performed a public U-turn.
The veteran promoter claimed he couldn’t “trust” Jones enough to give him the honour of headlining the historic card after he pulled the plug on fighting Brit Tom Aspinall.
And he brutally doubled down on his claim during the UFC 319 post-fight press conference on Sunday morning.
He asked a reporter: “What do you think Jon would do in the next couple of months that would make me trust putting him on the White House card?”
“I already said I don’t trust him, and you’re asking me, ‘What could he do for me to trust him in the next three months?’
“You don’t trust him!
“I haven’t talked to him at all. I would not bet on it.
“If I have to make odds, it’s a BILLION TO ONE [that] I put Jon Jones on the White House card.”
Jones, 38, was set to unify the heavyweight belts against interim titleholder Aspinall in a historic showdown at Madison Square Garden in November.
But despite the UFC brass meeting his demands to be paid “f**k you money“, he opted NOT to go through with the fight.
The former pound-for-pound king insisted a bout with Wigan warrior Aspinall did nothing for his legacy.
But he believes a fight at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue will add to it.
He said: “In a recent interview, I shared that the opportunity to fight at the White House gave me something deeper to fight for, a ‘why’ that goes beyond paychecks or belts.
If I have to make odds, it’s a billion to one I put Jon Jones on the White House card.”
Dana White on Jon Jones fighting at the White House
“Fighting for my country gives me a greater purpose!
“The silver lining in all this is knowing the fans see my heart.
“They see, I am ready and willing to take on anyone, to represent my country on a historic stage.
“For me, it’s never been just about the opponent. I’m chasing legacy, something timeless, something bigger than the moment.
“So for now, I’ll keep grinding, stay patient, and stay faithful. I’m ready to fight on July 4th.”
