Emmerdale spoilers let slip Ray’s true killer in twist as culprit exposed

The villagers are starting to turn on themselves following the death of villain Ray Walters, but when an unknown person was seen dragging his corpse – it was clear he’d been murdered

After the brutal death of villain Ray Walters was revealed on Emmerdale on Monday, spoilers have confirmed his true killer in a shocking twist.

With the baddie finally seeing the consequences of actions after the villagers turned on him, the plot line reached a chilling climax when he murdered his mum, fellow villain Celia Daniels, last week. After Monday’s episode saw Ray’s corpse being dragged along by an unknown person – his eyes still wide open – fans were left wondering who could have caused such terror in his final moments.

Before long the police begin their search of the depot, due to their ongoing query regarding drugs being likely couriered through this business. Jai, Caleb and Billy are shocked when Ray’s body is found inside the van.

Jai’s under pressure as the police try to work out a timeline of his use of the van. When they leave telling him they’ll be in touch, Caleb asks if there’s anything Jai needs to tell him, convinced there’s a killer nearby.

Jai theorises Celia must have killed Ray, but Caleb thinks it was someone closer to home. The next day, DC Stewart asks Caleb if there’s a connection between Jai and Ray. When Caleb tells them about Jai and Laurel’s divorce, Stewart takes note.

But Laurel is struggling to process what has happened. When Arthur tells Laurel she doesn’t get to lecture him after what has happened to Ray, he is quickly stunned when Laurel reveals Ray’s body’s been found.

Just the next day, Laurel is seen praying in the church. She then bumps into Marlon and chastises him for not telling her about Ray sooner.

Marlon is left to struggle with the weight of her words. Before long, DS Walsh questions Laurel about her relationship with Ray.

When she implies Jai might have been unhappy about it, they are interested although Laurel is adamant Jai couldn’t be behind Ray’s murder. DS Walsh leaves not long after Jai is taken in for questioning.

Pondering over what has happened while they sip coffee, Nicola wonders to Laurel if Jai killed Ray. But witnessing how all the speculation and gossip is getting to Laurel, Nicola softens.

Meanwhile, Jai is left worried by the intense questioning. Later on, in the pub, all eyes are on Jai as he gets heated defending himself. He only makes things worse by Jai pointing the finger at April and Dylan, suggesting they could have been involved, before dramatically storming out.

Elsewhere, Mandy calls Paddy from Ireland but on at the end of their phone call Paddy breaks down in uncontrollable sobs, with poor Dylan left unsure how to console him. Meanwhile, as April is comforted by her family, the conversation, once again, moves on to theorising about who killed Ray.

The villagers begin questioning who’s really responsible and it becomes clear they all have secrets. Following Ray’s death, the ITV soap also confirmed potential murder suspects, including April, Laurel, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and his wife, Rhona Goskirk ( Zoe Henry ), and Ross Barton (Mike Parr).

Viewers think they know who killed Ray though, with a few names being shared. Some believe it’s Dylan, while others suspected Bear and even Arthur Thomas. One fan said: “I feel Dylan killed Ray tbh.”

Another viewer said: “Guys Bear killed Ray,” as a third wrote: “Curveball suspects – Arthur Jai.” A fourth fan said: “What about Ross?” while another posted: “Did Laurel stab Ray to death?”

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

Emmerdale 2026 spoilers: Cain’s cancer diagnosis, Ray’s killer revealed and Graham return

Emmerdale Producer Laura Shaw has revealed huge twists ahead this year including Victoria Sugden’s killer secret under threat, Cain Dingle’s diagnosis and the return of Graham Foster

There’s some huge storylines on the way in 2026 on Emmerdale, including a cancer diagnosis, a shocking return and secrets at risk of being exposed.

The ITV soap’s Producer Laura Shaw has revealed all the big moments ahead, following the explosive Corriedale crossover with Coronation Street. In this special episode we saw Cain Dingle face the news that doctors had found a mass during scans, while John Sugden was found dead.

Graham Foster made a surprise return from the dead too, while Tuesday’s episode and new spoilers teased more drama including Joe Tate recording Victoria Sugden killing John. On the way in the aftermath, Joe’s sickening plan becomes clear as he targets the Sugdens.

Not only that, but the Dingle family are in for big turmoil as Cain is diagnosed with cancer. His wife Moira Dingle is arrested for human trafficking after being set up by Celia Daniels, who is now dead.

Teasing all the big moments ahead, Laura said: “The Dingle family are set to face huge repercussions and Cain is at the centre of a major prostate cancer storyline spanning across 2026. Adding to their devastation, Moira will be arrested for human trafficking, with her arrest timed to coincide with her husband’s diagnosis.

“Their complex marriage will be tested as they face dark times. The truth about John’s death will be revealed, as Victoria’s clever deception, making John’s death look like suicide, will unravel.

“Evil Joe Tate knows the truth and has damning video evidence which he plans to use to get what he wants from the Sugdens, potentially taking control of Butler’s Farm. Robert is also in the thick of it, trying to save Victoria by planting evidence.”

Could this lead to an exit for Victoria? Another murder secret will come to light too. Laura said: “Following the discovery of Ray’s body, villagers’ secrets will come out as the mystery surrounding Ray’s death is finally solved.

“Before the end of January, a special week will flash back to the night of the murder, revealing which of the multiple suspects is responsible for Ray’s demise. While Paddy is still out searching for his missing father, the bleak truth is that Bear has been killed by the villainous Celia.

“This emotional search and tragic discovery will bring Paddy’s mental health problems back to the forefront.” We also find out what really happened in 2020 when Graham Foster was killed off, or not.

Laura said: “A familiar face is returning to the village full-time! None other than Graham Foster will make a sensational comeback. His return will have massive repercussions for both Kim, with whom he shares a complex love and hate relationship, and Rhona, who was about to run away with him.

“Graham will explain exactly what happened six years ago when he was ‘killed’, but the question will be whether Joe can ever forgive his father-figure for allowing him to believe he was dead.” Finally, Charity Dingle prepares to give birth, and it seems her secret is finally exposed.

Laura shared: “The truth surrounding Charity’s pregnancy is set to blow wide open. Mackenzie mistakenly believes he could be the baby’s father, but the secret that Ross is the real father is still under wraps. With the baby due in spring, the birth may be the event that finally exposes all of Charity’s secrets…”

What happens next after Corriedale? ITV soap spoilers reveal all including arrest and death

Corriedale aired some dramatic scenes last night – but there’s still more drama ahead on Coronation Street and Emmerdale as the week goes on including another death…

Corriedale wowed fans with a dramatic episode of twists and turns as Emmerdale and Coronation Street came together for a one-off special. The ITV soaps aired some huge scenes including two deaths after a horror car crash.

The episode kicked off with Aaron Dingle and John Sugden swerving down the country roads, as Aaron held a gun up to his former lover. Lisa Swain was also suffering a similar fate, being driven away from the Cobbles by her former lover Becky.

In a shocking turn of events, the cars crashed and from there, even more chaos descended when multiple vehicles ended up in the pile-up, with two dead and likely more to come.

Spoilers for the upcoming week have teased some dramatic scenes ahead. On Emmerdale, at the busy hospital, the revelations continue as the truth about what happened during the crash – and why – are revealed.

One person makes a confession, and the perpetrator is just glad to be out of trouble. However, another character is filming them – and what trouble lies ahead for them? One character is in mortal danger.

Elsewhere, a deal is struck and there is also a betrayal – and more is revealed about Celia and Ray’s operation as the truth comes out, but at what cost and where does this all leave a terrified April?

Over on Coronation Street, Weatherfield is grieving for the loss of Billy as others fight for their lives. The truth starts to come out about what happened during the fateful crash – and why it all came about too.

One couple faces a life or death situation, whilst the police investigation continues and one resident finds themselves under arrest and facing charges – but who and what are they being charged with?

There’s wars between families and big surprises revealed, as the aftermath of the crash sends shockwaves through the the residents of Coronation Street – with dire consequences for all.

Speaking about the dramatic episode, Iain Macleod: “People love Corrie and people love Emmerdale and their distinct entities. They have their own tone of voice and their own sense of humour and their way of telling stories, and they wouldn’t blend long-term at all.

“I think it’s brilliant to bring them together for this but no, there are no plans to do anything similar in the future. Sorry to be the killjoy, those of you who were hoping there was more.”

Corriedale spoilers confirm new details: Crash cause, shock arrest and mystery body

Corriedale is just around the corner as the worlds of Coronation Street and Emmerdale collide in a devastating crash, and new spoilers and pictures have teased what happens

Corriedale has finally arrived, with new teasers for Emmerdale and Coronation Street promising death and destruction.

According to new spoilers, there’s drama and twists and turns, while things may never be the same again. New teasers reveal what leads into the big crossover for both soaps, and it seems it could be anyone who perishes or is injured.

While details remain under wraps, it has been revealed that Weatherfield residents will grieve a loss. So who dies, and is it more than one fatality? Does anyone die in Emmerdale?

At the moment it is confirmed there’s a body, but it’s hinted this happens before Corriedale. It’s also not confirmed if the body is dead, as it just says lifeless, while we also don’t know who it is, and who is shown dragging them along.

What is revealed is that there’s life-changing repercussions when the soaps collide, as “a series of dramatic incidents lead to a multi-vehicle pile-up on a dark and stormy road between Hotten and Weatherfield”. Both soaps will air a 30-minute episode leading them into the hour-long crossover episode that same day.

A gun-wielding John Sugden is preparing for revenge, as Aaron Dingle attempts to save Robert Sugden’s life by agreeing to leave the village with his killer husband John. As Aaron faces grave danger, Robert and Joe speed off after them.

Then there’s Cain and Moira Dingle, who are driving Jacob Gallagher and Sarah Sudden to the airport. They’re soon blinded by Mack flashing his headlights in a car behind them with his wife Charity in the passenger seat.

As Cain brakes, Mack smashes through a fence and into a field. As for Weatherfield residents, Carla Connor and Kit Green are in pursuit of Becky Swain, while Kit also soon ends up in pursuit of killer John. On the scene, it’s a race against time to save those trapped after the crash.

As traffic behind the crash site halts, we see a small van pull up with a driver glancing at a terrified woman in the back, who is tied up. Also caught up in the accident in some way are Debbie and Ronnie’s wedding guests in the minibus. Guests include Billy, David, Shona, Steve, and Tracy.

Debbie herself could be in danger as she and Carl are in a car, with a drunken Carl losing control. In terms of what leads to the crash, one spoiler teases: “Becky, fleeing her past with Lisa and Betsy, loses control of her vehicle, triggering a multi-car pile-up on a stormy road between Hotten and Weatherfield.”

It seems the aftermath of the crash will be just as eventful. The injured are taken to hospital and life “will never be the same”. A body is left lying in a van at the depot, while there could be mortal danger after the crash for some.

As the details about what has happened and why come to light, a confession is shared. Just as someone believes they are in the clear, someone is watching and videoing their every move. All is not what it seems for some, while some people are keeping secrets.

Elsewhere, one couple face a life or death situation and the police investigation continues, with one resident finding themself under arrest and facing charges. Families are at war and there’s surprises from the past, with shockwaves sent around the cobbles.

It’s safe to say it’s an unmissable week of episodes, as the new pictures alone prove, never mind the teasers. But who will survive, and who will make it out unscathed?

From January 6 2026, Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays. Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITV X.

EastEnders 2026 spoilers revealed: Joel’s return, love triangle and revenge drama

EastEnders Executive Producer Ben Wadey has teased what BBC soap fans can expect in 2026, and in the fallout to Max Branning’s special flash forward episode on New Year’s Day

If fans thought the end of EastEnders 2025 was dramatic, wait until they see what’s in store in 2026.

Executive Producer Ben Wadey has dropped huge hints at the storylines on the way, and the characters set to take centre stage. We already know Max Branning will be a key character, and the Brannings in general.

They feature in a flash forward episode this New Year’s Day, which pans into the same day in 2027. With details being kept under wraps, Ben teased the fallout of the episode.

What was also shared was the other big plots unfolding across the next 12 months, with Ben confirming the return of abusive teenager Joel Marshall. Linda Carter and Honey and Billy Mitchell also feature in new drama, as does Harry Mitchell, Ravi Gulati and Phil Mitchell.

READ MORE: EastEnders’ Max Branning’s huge wedding mystery in flash forward episodeREAD MORE: EastEnders spoilers: Anthony’s cause of death as killer revealed and Patrick grieves

Ben spilled of what fans can expect: “We’ve got lots ahead, lots of new stuff that I’m excited about. You may have seen we’ve just announced Ronni Ancona joining the show, which I am very, very excited about. I’m a huge fan of her work and she brings such a unique tone to it.

“I was really interested in just having a story that has a bit more kind of tragic comedy coming through it. She’s an old school friend of Linda’s and she’s called Bea. Bea arrives and her memory of Linda is very different to Linda’s memory of Linda.

“Bea is the sort of character who might attach herself onto people so she kind of comes in and gets to reacquaint herself with Linda. It’s also going to be a big story for some other characters.

Billy and Honey are going to be big in the new year and will be involved in that story as well, so it’s a story which, as a team, every time we watch it and read it we love it. We laugh and we cry and it’s really, really fun.

“Honey and Bea. After the misogyny story last year where we saw Joel was arrested, we’ve got his trial coming up so we’re gonna see Joel again as he faces the consequences of his actions. He’s pleading not guilty, and I think everyone’s struggling with why on Earth he’s put everyone through a trial.

“Vicki’s really going through the ringer of that, and Vicki, who wants to be committed so badly to Ross, but associates Ross now with everything that happened with Joel, her eye has been wandering slightly towards Zack.

“So we’ve got a big soapy love triangle in the mix of the new year. We’ve got a big story for Ravi going forward as he faces the consequences of his actions and all the awful things that he did in the previous few months, and what that starts to do to his psyche and his family.

“A revenge plot from Harry Mitchell kicks us off early in the new year, and the continuation of Phil and Nigel’s story. That beautiful episode, that will continue through and give us heart and warmth and just realism, and just gorgeous performances. Those relationships kind of see us through further into 2026.”

On the fallout to the flash forward, he went on: “You don’t have to wait an entire year to get all the answers, you’ll be getting answers from almost the episode after and then through every month, we’ll be giving you little bits. But also we twist a lot in that episode.

“Things are not as they seem so things that you will assume are going on there when you watch them in a year’s time will actually have quite a different light on them. But there’ll be lots of things within that episode that within the first few weeks and months, quite big answers you will start to get as an audience which I hope will be really satisfying that it kind of comes comes throughout the year.

“The plan is we’ll re-see elements of that [episode] which will make sense in the new light. There’ll be new scenes, there’ll be additional elements, so without giving too much away, it will be I think a very satisfying kind of coming together of two halves that I think will answer questions and be very satisfying to watch.”

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. * Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads .
