From cute dresses to on-trend work attire, the supermarket fast-fashion range always hits the mark, and its summer collection is no exception.

One dress in particular that has caught the eye of fashion fans is the Yellow Square Neck Poplin Midaxi Dress which has been slashed from £26 to £13, a saving of 50%.

The stunning frock is perfect for those with bigger busts, as it has chunky straps, meaning you can wear a supportive bra underneath.
It is made with a lightweight fabric, which will keep you cool on hot summer days, and even has pockets, so you don’t even have to take a bag out with you.
Pair the bright-coloured gown with chunky wedge sandals and eye-catching accessories for a statement holiday look.
The dress is available in a wide range of sizes, from size six to size 24.
However, it has proved so popular with fashion fans that it is sold out in some sizes, so you better be quick to snap up the deal.
Shoppers have been raving about the summer frock on the Sainsbury’s website.
One customer said: “I really like the cut and colour of this dress and it has thick shoulder straps so you can wear your regular bra.”
A second said: “I loved this dress from the moment I spotted it in store and thus I purchased it the second I was able to!
“Fabric wise this dress is very much a summer wear, though I suspect if you layer just right you could well push it into winter.”
A third shopper wrote: “This is a lovely dress. Lovely material.
“I’m a size 12 and it fitted perfectly.”
A fourth remarked: “This lovely dress is made out of quality material, in a triumphant colour and cut beautifully.
Is supermarket fashion the new high street?
DEPUTY Fashion Editor Abby McHale weighs in:
The supermarkets have really upped their game when it comes to their fashion lines. These days, as you head in to do your weekly food shop you can also pick up a selection of purse-friendly, stylish pieces for all the family.
Tesco has just announced a 0.7 per cent increase in the quarter thanks to a ‘strong growth in clothing’ and M&S has earnt the title of the number one destination for womenswear on the high street.
Asda’s clothing line George has made £1.5 million for the supermarket in 2023, 80 per cent of Sainsbury’s clothes sold at full price rather than discounted and Nutmeg at Morrisons sales are also up 2 per cent in the past year.
So what is it about supermarket fashion that is becoming so successful?
Apart from the clothing actually being affordable, it’s good quality too – with many being part of schemes such as the Better Cotton Initiative.
A lot of the time they keep to classic pieces that they know will last the customer year after year.
Plus because they buy so much stock they can turn around pieces quickly and buy for cheaper because of the volumes.
A 75-YEAR-OLD model who’s never had Botox has revealed the £2 Temu buy she swears by to stay looking young.
Penelope Tree first made a name for herself in the 1960s, and has enjoyed a resurgence of success in recent years – walking the runway for Fendi and Richard Quinn and appearing in a star-studded ad campaign to mark Zara’s 50th anniversary.

When it comes to her anti-ageing tips, she swears by using these face tapes – which you can get for £2 from TemuCredit: temu
And while she used to be “obsessed” with her appearance when she was younger, she’s now “more interested in what’s going on” around her.
She’s also “not trying to prove anything” by undergoing cosmetic procedures to maintain a flawless facade.
“You just have to accept the inevitability of ageing. I don’t really see what’s wrong with it!” she told the MailOnline.
“And I don’t like hospitals or the idea of being fiddled with in a surgical way.
Read more Anti-ageing stories
“Also, repeated plastic surgery does tend to make people look like replicants (bioengineered humanoids).”
Instead, she prefers a more natural way of reducing the look of her wrinkles – anti-ageing face tapes.
The adhesive tapes have threads attached, which can be pulled and secured discreetly around the head to make the face look more taut.
And they won’t set you back anywhere near as much as Botox either, as you can pick them up for just £2 on Temu.
Other celebrities who use the tapes include Joan Collins and Bella Hadid.
I hated my wrinkled skin, so I spent £4k to have the top layer taken off, people can’t believe I’m the same person
“In my 20s my currency was my beauty,” Penelope continued.
“Now my currency is being alive, interested and curious.
“I just leave it to the hairdressers and the make-up artists to make me look as good as I can, which isn’t easy!”
As for her fashion sense, Penelope loves “statement jewellery”, which said makes older people “look fabulous”.
And she loves shopping at the “affordable and fabulous” Zara.
“I wear an orange Zara suit every summer and it’s the most complimented outfit I’ve ever worn in my life!” she admitted.
How is celery juice an anti-ageing potion?
Celery juice is packed with antioxidants like vitamin C and flavonoids, which combat free radicals that cause cellular damage and aging.
Its high water content keeps your skin hydrated and plump, reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
The anti-inflammatory compounds in celery, such as apigenin and luteolin, help reduce chronic inflammation linked to ageing.
Rich in essential nutrients like vitamin K and potassium, celery juice supports overall skin health and body functions.
Drinking celery juice regularly can complement a balanced diet and skincare routine, promoting a youthful glow from within.
But while she’s happy to save money on the majority of her wardrobe, there’s one thing she’ll always splash out on – and that’s denim.
“If there’s one thing I have learnt as I have aged, it’s to spend money on jeans,” she said, adding that she’s had the same pair for three years and insisting they’re “good as new”.
There’s also a selection of stunning keepsakes including two Ortigia soaps in tins – which could even be passed on as Christmas gifts.
The 26 products are all stored inside the luxe-looking packaging, which opens up to reveal the pull-out draws with gold numbers.

TikToker Jasmine Poppy sent fashion lovers into a frenzy when she posted a clip of her latest TU Clothing purchases.
The TikToker showed off Sainsbury’s new range of cosy sets perfect for snuggling up as the nights draw in.
Among the finds was the Mini Me Women’s Halloween Pink Pumpkin Print Slinky Pyjama set, priced at £16, with the rest of the line retailing at £20.
And while Halloween PJs usually mean garish orange and purple prints, Sainsbury’s has gone for something a little different this year with pretty designs in soft pinks and cute patterns that shoppers say are “perfect for autumn”.
The collection features fun, pastel printsCredit: TU
The playful pumpkin prints, soft fabrics, and matching sets have quickly earned a spot on people’s must-buy lists.
“I LOVE TU pjs, they’re so comfy,” raved one fan in the comments.
Another wrote: “Never have I run to order something so quickly.”
A third added: “These are gorgeous, I want all of them.”
One shopper had their eyes on a particular set, gushing: “I need the cherry pumpkin ones.”
I work in Sainsbury’s – my picks from new autumn collection, 1920s trend is back
While another insisted: “Sainsbury’s pjs top all others, honestly.”
It’s clear Sainsbury’s is coming into the colder months well prepared, with styles that feel seasonal without being over-the-top spooky, perfect for anyone who wants to nod to Halloween without going full fancy dress.
So, if you’re already dreaming of hot chocolate, candles, and a fresh pair of matching PJs, you might want to make your next supermarket trip a pyjama haul.
It comes after a Sainsbury’s fashion boss sent shoppers into a frenzy after giving them a sneak peek of their new autumn arrivals.
Hannah Pountain, Director of Merchandising at Tu Clothing, revealed her top five picks from the new range in an Instagram video over the weekend.
And she rounded up her five top picks from the new range – including a staple buy which proves a classic 1920s trend is returning.
The autumn drop follows a wave of excitement over other high street nightwear launches.
Just last week, Primark had shoppers swooning with a Clueless-themed pyjama line, inspired by the iconic 90s rom-com.

A SAVVY shopper has bagged stunning wedding guest dresses from Asda for less than a tenner.
TikToker Christina Mitsi, who’s 5ft 3 and a size 12/14, headed to George at Asda in search of the perfect big-day look and found a whole rail of gorgeous dresses from just £6.

Her favourite set her back just £6Credit: Tiktok/ @christinatmitsi
And while you might expect the cheapest frock to look like a bargain bin disaster, she reckons it’s one of the best of the lot.
Among her top picks was a beautiful navy satin-style number – simple, elegant and with a stretchy back that made it “so comfy” to wear.
The dress only set her back £6.
She laughed: “Can you imagine turning up in that and everyone saying, ‘Your dress is gorgeous, where’s it from?’ and you say Asda, six quid.”
She also fell in love with a flowy green dress for £15.
For something a little more versatile, she tried a multi-way bridesmaid-style gown for £32, which can be tied and styled in several different ways.
“So affordable if you need matching dresses for your bridesmaids, this is a fantastic option,” she said.

She praised the £32 bridesmaid style gown

Christina was seriously impressed with the quality, comfort and price of most of the range.
And with dresses starting at just £6, she says it’s the perfect excuse to splash out on a fancy handbag and heels instead.
“Why spend more when you can get a lovely dress for £15 or less?” she added.
Fans were just as impressed.
Kat Farmers new George at Asda Collection
One user said: “Wow, you look stunning.”
Another added: “Love – makes me want to buy it in case I ever get invited to a wedding”.
While a third said: “They all look gorgeous on you x”.
It came just days after another savvy fashionista showed off her £3 event dress she bagged from Asda’s clearance rail.
But the £3 event dress might just take the crown for the best fashion bargain yet.
So if you’re in the market for an affordable outfit that’ll turn heads without emptying your wallet, it might be worth swinging by your local Asda and checking the rails.
She said: “Asda often has an alcohol offer on: buy six bottles and save 25%.
“The offer includes selected bottles with red, white and rose options, as well as prosecco. There are usually lots of popular bottles included, for example, Oyster Bay Hawkes Bay Merlot, Oyster Bay Hawkes Bay Merlot and Freixenet Prosecco D.O.C.
“Obviously, the more expensive the bottles you choose, the more you save.”

The savvy saver also recommends that fans of Asda join Facebook groups to keep in the know about the latest bargains in-store.
Eilish said: “I recommend joining the Latest Deals Facebook Group to find out about the latest deals and new launches in store.
“Every day, more than 250,000 deal hunters share their latest bargain finds and new releases.
“For example, recently a member shared a picture of Asda’s new Barbie range spotted in store.
“Another member shared the bargain outdoor plants she picked up, including roses for 47p, blackcurrant bushes for 14p and topiary trees for 14p.”

LEGGINGS are a clothing item that everyone needs in their wardrobe.
The best leggings will be comfortable, supportive and flattering on every body shape, and we’ve put some of the hero brands to the test.
2
A pair of leggings is a wardrobe staple
Flimsy, see-through leggings are a thing of the past, as there’s a whole world of high-quality options that don’t compromise on style.
From fitness activities to running errands, a pair of leggings have become the ultimate throw-on-and-go fashion item.
They pair with everything from chunky knitwear to fitted tops, and they’re my go-to for wearing at home when I still want to feel put together.
High-waisted leggings, flared styles and sculpting options are all popular, and scrunch-bum leggings are also trending for enhancing the silhouette.
We’ve put a selection of styles through the ringer to see if they’re worth the money, from Gymshark, Halara, Tala and more.
Best leggings at a glance:
How I tested
2
I put some of the most popular leggings to the test
There are a few important features to consider when searching for the perfect pair of leggings.
Firstly (and most importantly), a good pair of leggings need to be comfortable.
As a fashion item that will be worn to the gym or for lounging at home, they need to be stretchy enough to wear for long periods without digging into the skin.
One hurdle that leggings often fall at is having a see-through design, and I was closely keeping an eye on the quality of each pair.
I also considered any special features, including sculpting styles, sweat-wicking properties and how they feel on the skin.
I wore the leggings for visits to the gym, long walks, and for lounging at home, to determine whether they work as fashion all-rounders.
Gymshark Vital Seamless Leggings
The Vital Seamless leggings are a bestseller on the Gymshark website
Gymshark Vital Seamless Leggings, £45
Pros: Comfortable, supportive waistband, sweat-wicking, flattering on the waist, wide range of colour options
Cons: Expensive when full price, slightly tight on the waist
Rating: 5/5
I’ve been wearing Gymshark leggings for years, and they’re yet to disappoint me.
The Vital Seamless Leggings are not only a brand bestseller, but they’re also my new favourite.
Featuring sweat-wicking technology and breathable mesh dots, they’re comfortable even after intense workouts, and I don’t ever need to worry about sweat patches.
The feature I love the most is the supportive ribbed waistband.
It sits high on the stomach, sucking me in without ever feeling suffocating.
Gymshark’s leggings have mastered the balance between comfort and style, smoothing out lumps and bumps around my waist and thighs, while still remaining comfortable enough to wear for long periods.
At full-price, the leggings are on the expensive side, but Gymshark often has big sales with price drops of up to 50%.
Leg length: Full; Size range: XXS-XXL; Colours available: 11 colours, Fabric: Nylon and elastane
BetterMe High Impact Mesh Leggings
BetterMe’s High Impact leggings have plenty of stretch
BetterMe High Impact Mesh Leggings, £52
Pros: Stretchy, sweat-wicking, nice colour, smooths lumps and bumps, subtly shapes the figure
Cons: Expensive
Rating: 5/5
BetterMe is best-known for its health coaching app, but branched out into the activewear space in 2022.
I tried the brand’s High Impact Mesh Leggings, and I honestly can’t fault them.
Firstly, I’m obsessed with the dark green colourway, but the pair also comes in burgundy, black and ivory shades.
The leggings have a stretchy design that feels so soft on the skin, with a high-rise fit that flatters the figure.
The waistband and mesh detailing are why they’re so comfortable for wearing all day, and I’ve been reaching for them to exercise and for running errands.
Made from nylon and lycra, they give light tummy control, and I’ve noticed how much they smooth out my thighs.
Leg length: Full; Size range: XS-XXL; Colours available: Four colours, Fabric: Nylon and lycra spandex
Marks & Spencer Good Move Go Balance High Waisted Yoga Leggings
The M&S Good Move leggings are supportive and comfortable.
Marks & Spencer Good Move Go Balance High Waisted Yoga Leggings, £25
Pros: Flattering, comfortable, shaping/slimming, stretchy, soft, cool and breathable, V waist
Cons: Limited colour range
Rating: 5/5
These leggings are perfect for yoga and pretty much any other occasion, too.
They’re silky soft and cosy but still lightweight and breathable so that you won’t overheat during a workout.
I love the flattering V-shaped waistband; it’s unique and has a nice twist on a regular pair of black leggings.
But also, it makes your waist smaller and your bum look lifted.
The leggings will pair perfectly with running trainers, and we tested some of the best styles.
At the moment, it only comes in black, burgundy and a printed design, but hopefully, M&S will launch more colours soon.
Leg length: Full, Size range: 6-24; Colours available: 2, Fabric: Polyester and elastane
Halara UltraSculpt High Waisted Scrunch Bum Leggings
Halara’s sculpting leggings have been slashed in the sale
Halara UltraSculpt High Waisted Scrunch Butt Leggings, £30.95 (was £50.95)
Pros: Lifts the bum, sculpts the figure, compression to smooth out bumps, good selection of lengths and colours, currently on sale
Cons: Ruching is quite visible, feels tight
Rating: 4/5
Halara is the TikTok-famous brand that even Taylor Swift is fan of, and I tried UltraSculpt Scrunch Butt Leggings.
Featuring compression for shaping, a V-shaped waistband and an ultra-high waist, the stretchy leggings are just as comfortable as they are flattering.
The all-over compression held me in while smoothing out unwanted bumps, and the black colourway is ideal for both exercise and everyday wear.
The leggings feature padding and ruching that lifts the butt, and while the design is quite discreet, I would prefer if it was completely invisible.
Halara currently has a huge sale on, where shoppers can save up to 80% sitewide, and the sculpting leggings are reduced by £20.
Leg length: Full; Size range: XS-XXL; Colours available: 20 colours, Fabric: Nylon and elastane
TALA SkinLuxe High Waisted Flared Legging
Tala’s flared leggings went viral when they were released
TALA SkinLuxe High Waisted Flared Legging, £59
Pros: Flattering flared leg, waistband doesn’t fall down, super soft, easy to put on, comfortable, back pocket with zip, lightweight, sustainable (made from recycled nylon)
Cons: Only available in four colours
Rating: 5/5
TALA’s SkinLuxe flared leggings have been one of our favourites for a while now.
Flared jeans are so in right now, and so are flared leggings.
Not only are they trendy, but this shape is really flattering on the waist, thighs and bum.
They’re great for accentuating curves without being skin-tight.
I wear this pair all the time, as they’re ideal for WFH and then heading out for a walk with friends.
They’re also great for hardcore workouts, especially on days when you’re feeling a little bloated or feel like covering up a bit more, as the high waist will not roll down.
Leg length: Full; Size range: XS to XL; Colours available: 4 colours; Fabric: Recycled nylon and lycra
What to wear with leggings?
There are two reasons why leggings are a wardrobe staple.
Firstly, they’re comfortable for every occasion, and they can be worn with just about anything.
For lounging at home and running errands, leggings can be styled with T-shirts, knitwear and trainers, but they can also be teamed with various activewear for trips to the gym.
Leggings also make a great base for layering during the colder months, and they look effortlessly stylish paired with longline coats and a crossbody bag.
Building a capsule wardrobe means finding timeless clothing items that can be styled in multiple ways, and leggings are the item that does just that.
How to style flared leggings?
Flared leggings have made a comeback in recent years, and they’ve become a popular choice for everyday and loungewear.
Traditionally worn for yoga, the wide-leg style could be thrown on for any occasion, giving me of an elevated feel than traditional leggings.
The design is also flattering on every body type, and they look stylish paired with tank tops, cropped T-shirts, cardigans and leather jackets.
Tala, the clothing brand founded by influencer Grace Beverly, is known for its figure-flattering flared leggings.
It has a range of flared styles available on the site to pair with crop tops, sweatshirts and more.
Do Gymshark leggings run small?
Gymshark leggings are usually considered to be true to size, but the sizing is largely down to the individual styles.

Thanks to Shein Quickship, items will be delivered to your door much faster than normalCredit: AFP
Natalie Southern, a fashionista from the UK, has found a very simple way that will enable Shein shoppers to get their affordable hauls delivered to their doors in less than a week.
Posting on social media, the fashion fan revealed her “life hack for the girlies” as she got candid on Shein’s Quickship feature.
Stunned by her findings after browsing Shein’s website, she said: “Please tell me I’m not the only one who’s just realised this on Shein – Quickship.”
Natalie then added: “Who knew that if you wanted your goods from Shein, there was a section where you can order from Quickship, where your goods come in a number of days rather than a number of weeks.”
Following this, the content creator simply confirmed: “I didn’t.”
Thanks to Shein Quickship, shoppers will see items be delivered to their door in as little as three to five working days.
Shoppers will find a variety of items available under Quickship, including epic clearance deals, with clothes that have been reduced by up to 70%.
Quickship comes at no extra cost to Shein shoppers – but of course, standard shipping fees apply – and there are thousands of great buys to browse and choose from.
So if you’ve got an event coming up soon and don’t have time to wait for a new frock, you’ll need to check this out – and fast.
Natalie’s TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @nat_albarudi_southern, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 157,900 views.
Ugly side of fashion giant Shein revealed as retailer slammed by rivals for ‘unfair tactics’ to keep prices low
It’s also amassed 2,926 likes, 188 comments, 596 shares and 4,947 shares.
Social media users were stunned by the little-known Shein feature and many eagerly raced to the comments to express this.
One person said: “Thank you for this video! God send.”
I will be using that from now on as I order off Shein all the time
TikTok user
Another added: “Literally about to make an order!! Thank you, I had no clue this was a thing.”
A third commented: “Wish I knew this 15mins ago.”
Meanwhile, one Shein shopper wrote: “I’ll be shopping even more now! I never knew this!”
What is Shein and is it legit?
Shein is an online-only fast-fashion retailer, based out of China, that has become a number one shopping destination for many around the world.
The company was valued at $66billion in 2023, dwarfing that of popular high street brands Zara and H&M.
The fashion retailer was founded in late 2008, by entrepreneur and marketing specialist Xu Yangtian, also known as Chris Xu.
Shein is a legitimate selling website and is not a phishing scam.
But you may receive a disappointing order or run into shipping issues if you order from the site, according to reviews.
There have been swathes of quality complaints, which makes sense when looking at the price tag.
At the same time, another Shein lover beamed: “I will be using that from now on as I order off Shein all the time.”
However, one user claimed: “Just had a look. Items are so much dearer.”
But to this, Natalie wrote back and confirmed: “But still cheaper than high street shops and I have to be honest, Shein’s options are so much better than what I have on my local high street.”

How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
Save on furniture at Dunelm
Dunelm often has sales and promotions offering up to 75% off, especially at certain times of the year.
It’s worth keeping an eye out for Black Friday and Boxing Day sales to bag a bargain.
You can also check the clearance page on the Dunelm website to find the latest discounts.
Other money-saving websites, such as cashback sites like TopCashback and Quidco, may also help you save by allowing you to earn money back on your spending.
Plus you can save by opting for free click-and-collect to avoid being hit with delivery fees.

B&M shopper rushes to buy energy-saving gadget scanning for £1 instead of £35
If you are keen to shop the lava lamp, you will need to head to one of B&M’s 770 stores across the UK because the retailer does not offer home delivery.
With that in mind it may be worth ringing up your local branch ahead of time to avoid disappointment.
You can find your nearestB&Mby visiting www.bmstores.co.uk/stores.
And that is not the bargain spotted at stores in recent weeks.
Savvy shoppers have managed to pick up everything from Sports Racercars, Monster High bags, a toddler DJ set and a DIYjewellerykit in stores.
HOW TO SAVE AT B&M
The best time to get cut-price products is 10am on a Wednesday, according to one ex B&M manager.
This is when staff slash items to as little as 10p to clear excess stock and make way for new products.
Deals expert Tom Church said to keep an eye out for red sticker products as well.
These are added to special buy products that have been reduced in price.
It’s worth signing up to Facebook pages dedicated to hunting for bargains from B&M and other discounters too.
Two worth joining are B&M Bargains, Extreme Money Saving Deals and More, and Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group.

Fabulous’ Fashion Director, Tracey Lea Sayer shares her thoughts.
I WAS 10 when I first discovered the utter joy of high-street shopping for clothes with my mum and nan.
Going into town on Saturday became a family tradition – a girls’ day out we would look forward to all week.
My mum’s favourite shop was M&S, where she would gaze at jackets with big shoulder pads and floral sundresses, while my nan would make a beeline for John Lewis and their classic coats and elegant court shoes.
I was all over Tammy Girl – Etam’s little sister – and Chelsea Girl, which was later rebranded to high-street fave River Island.
I would spend hours in the changing rooms, watched keenly by my two cheerleaders, who gave the thumbs up – or thumbs down – on what I was trying on.
Frilly ra-ra skirts, duster coats, polka dot leggings, puff balls, boob tubes… I tried them all, often making my nan howl with laughter.
Fashion wasn’t so fast back in the 1980s and every item was cherished and worn until it fell apart – literally – at the seams.
At 18, I went to art college and my tastes became more refined.
Extra cash from a part-time job in a bar meant I could move on to slightly more expensive stores, like Warehouse, Miss Selfridge and the mecca that was Topshop.
I knew at this point I wanted to work in fashion because the high street had totally seduced me.
One day, I wrote an article for a competition in a glossy mag about my love of retail therapy and my favourite LBD – and I won!
That led me to where I am today – Fashion Director of Fabulous.
It’s not just me that loves the high street – big-name designers are fans, too. When Cool Britannia hit in the ’90s, they all turned up in one big store.
Designers at Debenhams was a stroke of genius by Debenhams CEO Belinda Earl, designer Ben de Lisi and fashion director Spencer Hawken, who introduced diffusion ranges from John Rocha, Matthew Williamson and Betty Jackson, to name a few.
This meant we could all afford a bit of luxury and wear a well-known designer’s signature style.
Years later, I hosted a night with Debenhams and Fabulous for 250 readers, who were in awe meeting all the designers. It was a real career highlight for me.
In 2004, H&M started rolling out their international designer collabs.
Karl Lagerfeld was first, followed by Roberto Cavalli, Marni, Stella McCartney, Maison Martin Margiela, Sonia Rykiel, Comme des Garçons, Balmain, Versace and many, many more. I could barely contain myself!
Then in 2007, Kate Moss launched her first collection with Topshop, with thousands queuing along London’s Oxford Street.
I remember sitting behind Ms Moss and Topshop boss Philip Green at a London Fashion Week Topshop Unique catwalk show.
I had my three-year-old daughter, Frankie, in tow and we both made the news the next day after we were papped behind Kate, my supermodel girl crush.
At the time, the high street was on fire. Who needed designer buys when Mango stocked tin foil trousers just like the designer Isabel Marant ones and you could buy a bit of Barbara Hulanicki’s legendary brand Biba from Topshop?
High street stores even started to storm London Fashion week.
Although Topshop Unique had shown collections since 2001, in 2013 River Island showed its first collection in collaboration with global superstar Rihanna, who was flown in by a friend of mine on a private jet. KER-CHING!
A whole new generation of high profile high street collabs followed.
Beyoncé created Ivy Park with Topshop’s Philip Green and I even flew to LA for Fabulous to shoot the Kardashian sisters in their bodycon “Kollection” for Dorothy Perkins.
I am pleased to say they were the absolute dream cover stars.
Fast forward to 2024 and while the high street doesn’t look exactly like it did pre-Covid, it has made a gallant comeback.
Stores like M&S, Reserved and Zara, and designer collabs like Victoria Beckham X Mango and Rochelle Humes for Next are giving me all the feels.
The supermarkets have really come into their own, too, smashing it with gorgeous collections that look expensive, but at prices that still allow us to afford the weekly shop.
The last 30 years of high street fashion have been one big adventure for me. Bring on the next 30!

The new Sculpt Midi Bandage Dresses will set shoppers back £169Credit: Instagram/houseofcb
The bandage dress first hit the catwalk back in 1989 as the grand finale of Hervé Léger’s runway show, but it wasn’t until the likes of Victoria Beckham and other celebrities went crazy for the dresses in the 00s that they became mainstream.
Women were scrambling to get their hands on the high-street versions of the designer gowns, made with thick strips of fabric which work to “bandage” your shape and flatten out problem areas.
And now, shoppers will again be able to get their hands on the iconic bandage dresses, as they are now back in House of CB.
The much-loved chain took to Instagram to share the exciting news, leaving many totally stunned.

Alongside the social media post showing off the new frocks, the chain penned: “She’s baaaaaack. Shop the birthday bandage collection now and be ready to serve some cake.”
According to those at House of CB, one of the “most iconic party dresses is back for another dance”.
The heavyweight stretch fabric of these £169 Sculpt Midi Bandage Dresses, which are available in a number of different colours and styles, features unique tension properties that contour your body and create curves to envy.
The dresses are now elevated with even more definition around the bust and waistline, as well as flattering halter neck straps and a low scooped back that shows just the right amount of skin.
A fashionista from London named Christie, was gobsmacked to see the figure hugging frocks back in stores and took to social media to share the news with others.
Posting online, the content creator gave her followers a close-up look at the House of CB dresses and gasped: “Bandage dresses are BACK??!!”
M&S’ must-have summer holiday dresses
She then questioned: “I fear I want one?”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @christievian, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 227,900 views, 23,000 likes and 215 comments.

Fashion editor reveals the 90s trends that should stay in the past
NINETIES and noughties trends especially have become a hit with Gen Z – most likely because they didn’t wear them the first time round. Here, Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale gives the rundown of some of the trends that have made a comeback that we wish did not.
Disc belts
“A hit with celebrities like Victoria Beckham and Blake Lively, the belt itself did nothing that a belt should actually do – it was a mere fashion statement, not a piece to actually hold anything up.
“And it seems it’s not just me who is enraged by its return, with many taking to TikTok to give their views, saying: ‘Oh no not the disc belt! I don’t think I have the energy for it a 2nd time around’ – I feel you.”
Jelly shoes
“After not being seen on shelves for decades, they’ve made a reappearance and this time they’re not just for kids.
“Coming in a range of colourful patterns, you can get them all over the high street in either flat or heeled versions.
“Not only will you look very childish wearing such shoes, but people will also need to learn that they aren’t the comfiest – blister plasters will come in handy.”
Pedal pushers
“The cropped knee-grazing trouser were all the rage in the 1990s and 2000s, but this time the model fash pack are all over them – with both Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski wearing them out recently.
“The original IT girls, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot helped make the trousers – also called Capri pants – look effortlessly cool and glam.
“Somehow this time round they don’t seem to be having that same effect.”
Another added: “I can live my early 2000 dreams.”
A third commented: “YEEEEESSSS SORRY BUT I LOVE IT.”
However, at the same time, someone else sighed: “I can’t get behind it, I’m sorry.”
Love it! I remember I bought my first bandage dress at 20 back in 2007
TikTok user
A second disappointed shopper slammed: “They’re trying to make 2016 happen but it’s too early. Give it 10 years at least!! This isn’t how vintage and nostalgia works…”
Not only this, but another expressed: “They went away for a reason!”
Meanwhile, one woman penned: “I can’t shake the tacky vibes I get from them.”

Aldi has brought back its Small Pressure Washer
2
It retails for £58 less than a Karcher pressure washer
The bargain FERREX Small Pressure Washer lands in stores this Thursday, June 5, as part of the supermarket’s latest Specialbuy drop and it’s only £49.99.
It previously hit shelves in April and flew out fast, with shoppers rushing to get their hands on one.
Now it’s back by popular demand, and it’s expected to sell out all over again.
Packing a punch with a 1,400W motor and 110 bar max pressure, it’s perfect for washing away moss, grime and stubborn dirt from patios, driveways and garden furniture.
The compact gadget comes with a three-metre hose, spray gun, cleaning lance and extension, and it’s got a quick-connect system to easily swap attachments on the go.
Weighing just 5kg, it’s light enough to carry around the garden and small enough to tuck away neatly after use thanks to its integrated hose and cable holder.
It’s a budget-friendly alternative to big brands — the Karcher K2 Power Control Home pressure washer, which also offers 110 bar pressure, costs £108 at Screwfix right now.
That makes Aldi’s version a massive £58 cheaper.
Aldi’s Specialbuys are known for delivering big-name features at bargain prices, from kitchen gadgets to garden must-haves but stock is always limited, and when it’s gone, it’s gone.
You can call your nearest store ahead of making a trip and check they’ve got the pressure washer in stock.
To stay ahead of the game, shoppers can also sign up to Aldi’s email alerts to get the inside scoop on upcoming deals.
And don’t forget it always pays to shop around.
Sites like Trolley.co.uk and PriceSpy let you compare prices across thousands of products and track price history, so you can be sure you’re getting the best bang for your buck.

They nabbed the amazing deals at their local Asda in RetfordCredit: Getty
In a post on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on the social media site, they shared a snap of the purchases and reveal the discount they got at the till.
Join Facebook groups
“It is in our store as well, it’s all deleted lines,” someone else said.
“They went down last week at my store,” another added.
“The colleagues had most of them so might be the same in other stores.
“Doesn’t get a chance to go out on the shop floor!”
ALDI is selling a must-have garden gadget that’s just under £70 cheaper than a similar one from top brand Karcher – and it’s ideal for sprucing up your patio ahead of summer.
It comes with a 1400W motor and pumps out up to 110 bar of pressure – more than enough to tackle stubborn stains outdoors.
It comes with a three meter high-pressure hose, spray gun, cleaning lance with extension and a quick-connect system for easily switching attachments.
Weighing in at just 5kg, it’s light enough for moving around the garden and easy to stash away thanks to its integrated cable and hose holder.
The gadget goes on sale from Thursday, June 5 – online and in stores – but like all Aldi Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone.
And it’s a proper steal compared to pricier rivals.
For example, the Kärcher K2 Power Control Home Pressure Washer – with similar specs – will set you back £119 at B&Q, saving you just under £70 if you opt for the Aldi version.
The Karcher washer has similar specs, including a 110 bar pressure and patio cleaning capability, but comes with a much heftier price tag.
Aldi’s Specialbuys have built a cult following for delivering top value across garden gear, kitchen gadgets and more – and this latest deal is no exception.

WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.
For reduced items – when shops open
Red sticker items are rare at Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says that none of its food goes to waste so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.
A spokesman for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommend sales price before stores open on their best before or use by dates.”
That means you have the best chance of finding reduced food items if you go into stores as soon as it opens.
Opening times vary by shop but a majority open from 7am or 8am. You can find your nearest store’s times by using the supermarket’s online shop finder tool.
For Specialbuys – Thursdays and Sundays
Specialbuys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.
New stock comes into stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best one-off special deals.
For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head there for your local store’s opening time.
Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit as early as possible
Beauty boxes are a great way to try out new products or stock up on favourites, and the Boots Fresh Faced Skincare Set has everything needed for a routine refresh.
Six out of the nine products inside are full-size, including Lumene’s Glow Boost Essence, which is worth £34 (more than the entire beauty box) when purchased separately.
Beauty of Joseon is the Korean beauty brand that’s been all over social media lately, and shoppers will receive its popular Matte Sun Stick.
The products also come with a stylish checked print washbag that’s ideal for storing away beauty essentials.
The £30 set only has a few reviews currently, all of which are five-star.
One shopper wrote: “This set is excellent value for money if you want to try some new brands and level up your skincare routine, and the bag itself is very good quality, plus it would make an excellent gift.”
Another added: “The bag included is very good quality that will last years and I got lots of products for a great price.
I bought this for myself to try some new products but it would also make an excellent gift.”
Shoppers caused mass sell-outs on the Boots website earlier in the month after the retailer launched its Luxury Haircare Beauty Box.
Featuring £219 worth of products for £45, the haircare edit didn’t stay in stock for long.
Lookfantastic also released a new beauty box recently, and the Trending Beauty Box comes with nine viral favourites worth £110 for £40.
The Boots Fresh Faced Favourites Beauty Box is still in stock for now, but if it’s anything like the retailer’s other new releases, it’s going to sell fast.
