FROM Three Lions to Vindaloo, England have their fair share of rousing football anthems.
But now that Scotland have qualified for their first World Cup since 1998, proud Tartan Army faithfuls Biffy Clyro are planning their own tune to cheer on their lads next summer.

The trio scooped the Live Act gong at the Rolling Stone UK Awards at London’s Roundhouse on Thursday night and told me they are already putting plans in motion.
Asked whether anyone from the Scottish team had been in touch, frontman Simon Neil said: “Well, we’ve been in touch with them.
“We want to do Scottish Band Aid or Live Aid. This is a historic moment for Scotland.”
But on the team’s chances in the tournament, he said with a laugh: “Ninety minutes after the first game, with all of our heads in our hands, it won’t matter. But see, this next six months is truly magical.
“In this day and age, we all find so many reasons to fall out and disagree that it’s surprising it’s football that’s bringing people together. Lionesses last year, all of England would celebrate.
“I’ve got the lyric for the chorus: ‘The party’s starting because the tartan’s marching’. There you go. That’ll be in your head for now. I want that to stimulate the song.”
Sounds like a belter to me.
Meanwhile, the third annual ceremony was packed with celebs and saw FKA Twigs win the Album award for Eusexua, and Lewis Capaldi the Artist award.
Comedian Mo Gilligan was brought in to present Lewis with the prize, this time pronouncing his name correctly — after accidentally calling him Sam Capaldi on stage at the Brit Awards in 2023.
Jessie J was on top form as she gears up to drop her first album in seven years, Don’t Tease Me With A Good Time, this Friday.
She said: “It has been a long time. I finished writing it in 2022.
“I have a lot of music in my phone. So if someone wants to steal my phone, and put it out for me, it would save me a lot of agg. No, but I’m excited for people to hear it, you know?
“I just want to make people feel something.”
And now that Jessie’s back in the spotlight, she has found that her two-year-old son Sky has a taste for fame.
She added: “Oh, my God, he’s so funny. He’s like, ‘Can I come to work? I love when the people say, yay’.
“It’s so cute. I can’t tell him I’m going to work because he wants to come with me.”
It was typically chaotic, with Danny at one point vaping on stage and later dropping his cigarettes on the floor as he made his way home, despite the fact the whole thing was sponsored by nicotine pouch company Zyn.
He is in the middle of shooting series two of Eighties TV comedy drama Rivals, but promised to get “off his nut” and later celebrated at the after-party until 1am.
IN his opening monologue on the night, Danny said: “It’s been an amazing 12 months because I won a f***ing Bafta.
“There was only one thing that could top that, and that’s the fact that my first-born child married the captain of West Ham United.”
Danny Dyer did a cracking job on hosting duties at the awardsCredit: Splash
Welcoming Mo Gilligan on stage: “It’s the 11th funniest comedian in the country. He’s funnier than Joel Dommett, I can tell you that.”
Before handing out the Film award: “Here’s a fact for you, I’ve been in 50 films, 47 of them are s**t.”
Introducing the Television award: “They didn’t nominate me for this one, can you f***ing believe it? I’ll come down there and put a nut on ya.”
And while presenting the Festival award: “Deep down, we are all dreaming of being in a field somewhere, warm lager in our hand and off our t**s on mushrooms.”
Musicals Greatest Hits was released yesterday and it features a cover of Wicked’s For Good, just as the second film’s soundtrack, also featuring that song, came out.

Ben whose roles include playing the Phantom in The Phantom Of The Opera, told Bizarre: “I’m so excited that everyone can finally hear my album. Creating it has truly been a dream come true.”
Ben embarks on a huge tour next year.
He will play theatres up and down the UK from September.

ALBUM PERFECT FOR DOJA TAT
DOJA CAT was so impressed with tattoo artist Claudio Traina’s work that she decided to use his design on her latest album Vie.
Claudio, of Sixty Ink in London, told me: “I met her in a house in LA.

“We were doing tattoos for everyone there, and she got so excited, she decided to get her first tattoo. Two days later she called me for more.”
Claudio, whose clients also include Yungblud and Demi Lovato, added: “Now, every time she’s in London, she comes to the studio for fresh ink.
“She liked the word Vie, meaning ‘life’ in French, and decided to get it tattooed. A few months after, I got a message saying they had used that tattoo I designed for the album cover.”
CHRISTMAS will be arriving early for fans of Jade.
I can reveal that the former Little Mix singer is to announce a bumper deluxe edition of her debut album, That’s Showbiz Baby, which came out in September.
The new album, with fresh songs added, is expected to be available on December 5.

But rather than sing in English, the 17-time Grammy-winning Empire State Of Mind singer learned the track in both Italian and Spanish.

Alicia told Bizarre: “We had such a fun time. We’re doing this beautiful song, L’aurora, and I was learning it in Spanish as well as Italian.
“And so, it’s really exciting to be able to sing in a whole different language and poetry and the beauty of how it goes and how it feels coming out is incredible.”
She added: “It felt very easy. It felt natural, it felt fun.”
Proving you may grow older but don’t have to grow up, she added of the 62-year-old Italian singer : “He’s a prankster, a jokester.
“He’s trying to scare me the whole time, but I’m tough. So, you can’t scare me. But it was beautiful. I love it and I’m so excited about this project.”
The record, Una Storia Importante, also features opera singer Andrea Bocelli, and Eros will kick off a tour in Paris on Valentine’s Day.
A Coronation Street icon is set to return to the famous ITV cobbles this festive period after making an emotional exit exactly a year ago

A Corrie legend is set for a festive return
Coronation Street fans are set for the dramatic return of a legend of the cobbles this Christmas. And it will mark exactly a year since they initially left.
Former mainstay Gail Chadwick is set for a return during the festive special. It will mark a year since the star, played by Helen Worth, married Jesse Chadwick and headed for a new life in France.
Fans of the ITV show were devastated by her exit after a long-running stint on the soap, spanning back to 1974. And now, she is set for a one-off appearance, which is sure to delight the show’s avid viewers.
Details are still being kept close to the chests of producers. However a TV insider has said she could be about to connect with her family again for the festive period.
The source told The Sun: “It could be more timely as the Platts find themselves in yet another drama, one that they’ve had to deal with by themselves since the Platts’ matriarch moved abroad.”
They continued: “It’s a move which is guaranteed to thrill soap fans, who wondered whether we’d ever catch a glimpse of show favourite Gail on the cobbles again.”
Helen, 73, bowed out from the soap as Gail last year after an astonishing 50 year. She told viewers she’d been part of “the most wonderful show in the world“.
Since making her debut in Corrie 50 years ago the actress has been involved in an array of hard-hitting and juicy storylines. Her biggest lines have involved murders, steamy affairs and the perennial drama surrounding her three kids, Nick (Ben Price), Sarah and David.
When she finally left her role, Helen posted a message on social media to thanks her fans and their long-time support. She said at the time: “There’ll be more Platt stories, and I hope you’ll be watching.”
In a statement announcing her exit, she said: “This year felt like the perfect time to leave the show after celebrating 50 years in the most wonderful job on the most wonderful street in the world.
“I made the decision at the start of the year and spoke to the producers, who were very kind and understanding.”
In the build-up to Christmas, fans are set to watch dark scenes for Todd Grimshaw next week. It comes as his abusive partner Theo Silverton takes action against him once again.
The scenes result in a character outside of the relationship becoming suspicious which leads to a falling out. Later, Todd accuses Theo of rail-roading him into doing a half marathon.
However, Theo claims to him that it’s for his own good and they’ll be going for another run later as part of their training.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo kept their hopes of a World Cup place alive as they edged Nigeria 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at the end of extra time to win the African qualifying playoffs in Morocco.
DR Congo now await the draw on Thursday for the inter-confederation playoffs in March where six teams will chase two places at the 48-team finals.

Captain Chancel Mbemba converted the decisive kick on Sunday after Congolese substitute goalkeeper Timothy Fayulu, brought on a minute before the shootout, made two saves in the shootout.
Frank Onyeka had Nigeria ahead in the third minute but Meschack Elia equalised for the two sides to be level 1-1 after extra time.
The mini-tournament in Rabat was for the best runners-up across the nine African qualifying groups, whose fixtures were completed last month with the nine winners automatically booking a berth at the World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States next year.
Nigeria, who have been to six previous World Cups, were off to a perfect start as the Congolese cleared an early cross but only onto the edge of their penalty area where Onyeka snapped up the ball and powered home an effort, helped into the net by a slight deflection off Axel Tuanzebe.
But the Congolese could have been level within nine minutes had Ngal’ayel Mukau not put his close-in effort over the crossbar after Nigeria goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali had flapped at the ball.
They did equalise in the 32nd minute after Alex Iwobi had been stripped of possession inside the Congolese half, and a quick counter saw Cedric Bakambu square for Elia to score despite the efforts of Nigeria captain Wilfred Ndidi to intercept the ball.
A clever backheel at a corner early in the second half from Bakambu saw Nwabali make a sharp stop, and there looked a decent penalty shout for the Congolese as Noah Sadiki was upended by Benjamin Fredrick in the Nigeria box in the 55th minute, but the referee did not show any interest, and there was no VAR check.
DR Congo looked more ambitious as the contest wore on, but it was characterised by a wary approach from both sides, keen not to make any mistakes with so much at stake.
Nigeria needed extra time to get past Gabon in their Thursday semifinal and looked much more fatigued than their opponents, who beat Cameroon inside 90 minutes in their semi later the same night.
There were two opportunities in extra time on either end, with Nigerian substitute Tolu Arokodare heading over and then with the last effort of the game, Mbemba had his effort saved by Nwabali.
DR Congo went on to hold their nerve in the shootout and still have a chance to compete at their first World Cup since 1974, when the country was still known as Zaire.
Egypt, Senegal, South Africa, Ghana, Cape Verde, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Algeria and Tunisia have already qualified directly for the 2026 World Cup from Africa.
Bolivia from South America and New Caledonia from Oceania have already reached the six-team continental playoffs.
In Asia, the UAE host Iraq in their second leg on Tuesday to decide another playoff entrant. The first leg was 1-1.
Also included will be the best two group runners-up from the North American, Central American and Caribbean federation once normally qualifying ends on Tuesday.
Europe has its own playoff system for the remaining non-automatic berths for the 48-team World Cup.
Married At First Sight UK’s Bailey and Rebecca were dubbed the ‘strongest couple’ but have now announced their break-up

MAFS UK’s Rebecca and Bailey were one of the experiment’s strongest couples
Bailey and Rebecca have called it quits just days after Married At First Sight UK viewers witnessed their romantic display at the show’s reunion.
Bailey, a dad-of-one, was absolutely besotted with wife Rebecca but has now confirmed their love story has reached its conclusion and they’re no longer together.
The reality star revealed he had brought their relationship to an end in a heartfelt statement. Sharing a new snap on Instagram, he confirmed the break up.
Bailey penned: “Unfortunately it’s time to share that Bec and I are no longer together.”, reports Birmingham Live.
“We tried our best to navigate life after the experiment, and although we spent a lot of great time together on the outside, unfortunately the relationship came to an end.
“I still have a lot of love for Bec and I’m grateful for the amazing relationship we shared.I had fallen for Bec completely and it really was a true love story.”
Bailey continued: “I won’t lie, watching us fall in love all over again on screen has been ridiculously hard to go through and it’s something I’m still struggling with now. But I wouldn’t have changed any of it!”.
“Sadly I also have to address the various different false online allegations constantly being spread about me since the start of MAFS, which have been hard to deal with.
“I want to make it very clear, I never cheated on Bec at any point. I didn’t handle our break up well and for that I’m truly sorry to Bec, but I was completely loyal the whole way through our relationship.
“I’m not perfect, I don’t claim to be and I take responsibility for my part in why the relationship didn’t work.”
He wrapped up his statement by saying: “Making the decision to end things was heartbreaking and not a decision that I took lightly.
“I’m still heartbroken, but I wish Bec all the best and I always will.”
The reality TV star had previously shared countless snaps with Rebecca from both during and after the experiment before revealing the devastating news of their split.

More consistent success raises expectations of Argentina, something they have not always handled well.
In the summer they lost a home series 2-0 to England, despite Steve Borthwick’s side missing 14 players who were touring with the British and Irish Lions.
In the Rugby Championship, they started with a defeat and a win at home against New Zealand and went to Australia with a big chance to cement their status as title contenders.
Despite leading by 14 points at half-time, they ended up losing 28-24 after conceding a last-gasp try.
They avenged that loss the next week and ran the Springboks close in their final game after a 67-30 defeat in Durban, but finished bottom of the table.
Argentina went to Cardiff as favourites last week and put up 52 points, but Scotland are unlikely to be as charitable as Wales and the Pumas do not usually tour well in the northern hemisphere either.
The last time they won more than one game in November Tests was 2014.
However, with Wales dispatched and Scotland and England to come, this team has the chance for a historic clean sweep.
The odds might be against them, but three wins on British soil is not farfetched for this Argentina side.
Argentina team to face Scotland: Cruz Mallia, Isgro, Moroni, Chocobares, M Carreras, Prisciantelli, Benitez Cruz; Vivas, Montoya (capt), Delgado, Petti, Rubiolo, S Grondona, Martin Gonzalez, Oviedo.
Vicky Pattison has confessed hilariously in her podcast with Angela Scanlon that there’s one element of their relationship that husband Ercan Ramadan finds a total turn off…

Strictly Come Dancing star Vicky Pattison has admitted there’s one part of her that husband Ercan Ramadan finds a major turn-off: her nostril hair. Speaking on an episode of Get a Grip, her podcast with former Strictly star Angela Scanlon, Vicky, 37, said, “Do you know what really p**ses off Erc? My nostril hair.”
Despite saying Ercan, 32, was “a hairy man” with “strong Cypriot roots,” Vicky said he was adamant that she took action from the moment they began dating more than six years ago. “He’s really anal about hair – when we first got started going out he was like, ‘I need to do your nostril hair,’ and I was like, ‘No, because they’re fair babe, so just leave it.’”
Undeterred, Vicky revealed that Ercan took an electric trimmer to her nose, saying he “got up there with his weed-whacker thing” to remove the offending hairs. However, his solution failed to solve the problem. “Now they have grown back thicker and more determined,” she confessed.
Vicky, who’s dancing with pro Kai Widdrington on the hit BBC series, also told of her joy at coming top of the Leaderboard for the first time last weekend. She and Kai bagged the highest score with 39 points for their Tango to Taylor Swift’s The Fate of Ophelia, overtaking Amber Davies’ and Nikita Kuzmin’s Samba. “It just felt like it all came together,” Vicky told Angela, 41. “Even if that is the first and only time I get to be top of the Leaderboard I’m just so happy I got to do it once.”
She added, “It’s such a nice feeling – and it’s one I never thought I’d experience. I was in absolute shock, and I still am. I am dead proud of myself. I’m dead happy, I’m a bit emotional about it all, because I didn’t expect it.”
But Vicky also used this week’s podcast to again deny persistent rumours that she has slapped Ercan with a so-called ‘sex ban’ at home. “I’m not doing a sex ban,” she insisted, “but after doing the Samba all day, I’ve not got energy for the mattress mambo at home. I’m absolutely done in.”
Although the outspoken former Geordie Shore star loved being top of the Strictly pile last weekend, she still finds the elimination process nerve-shredding. “I have been unlucky enough to be in that final four and honestly it’s just the most awful feeling,” she said. “I know at some point I’ll have to be in the dance off, and it’ll be terrifying. It will just be awful.
“As we all know, I don’t deal with nerves very well or pressure, so I’m not looking forward to it. The relief when the light goes off you, and you’re squeezing hands – it’s very intense.”
She also told how she and Kai, 30, have been speaking about their plan to stay in touch after the show – although Vicky warned him, “Don’t think I’m going to be ringing you for a dance. When I’m f***ing done, I’m done. Everything’s going in the bin.”
But when their number is finally up, she’s looking forward to putting her feet up for a well-earned rest. “It’s obviously the most incredible experience ever, but it’s exhausting,” she told Angela. “I’m looking forward to having a nice Christmas.”
EastEnders fans have been left furious after a online release of a new episode was delayed ahead of a major twist on the long-running BBC soap opera following a dramatic storyline

EastEnders fans have been left furious after a online release of a new episode was delayed. Fans of the BBC soap are normally able to catch all the latest Walford action from 6am when it is released on iPlayer, but several complained that their morning routine had been severely disrupted when the latest instalment did not appear.
Warning, this article contains spoilers from Tuesday night’s episode now available on BBC iPlayer.
One fan wrote: “Someone’s messing up my morning routine by forgetting to flip the switch on the 6am iPlayer release of today’s Eastenders,” and a second said: “It’s 9 minutes PAST six where is #eastenders!”
A third raged: “where the f*** is my eastenders?? this is throwing off my morning routine ffs,” whilst a fourth pointed out that more than two hours later, the episode still hadn’t dropped.
They wrote: “Hello @BBCiPlayer, it’s 8.10am you haven’t released today’s episode of Eastenders. What do I pay tv licence for?” Another said: “They didn’t fire everyone at the @BBC did they? Where’s #EastEnders,” and another angry viewer wrote: “No iPlayer release of #EastEnders this morning. Damn it BBC I could have had an extra half an hour in bed this morning.”
Some speculated that the content of the episode could be the reason behind the delay. One said: “I need commissioners to upload Eastenders to iPlayer on time. If not because of sensitive content, please let us know. Some of us start our day at 6am and look forwards to this!”
Another wrote: “I guess something big is happening as no early release, but if it’s the death spoiler that’s already been confirmed then what the point.”
The episode did eventually become available though, and fans were impressed with it despite the delay. One fan wrote: “Best episode in quite a while that one today,” and another said: “Okay I thought tonight’s episode was the first good one in ages!” As the episode progressed, Harry, having left the house to buy drugs, received a message and went to check on friend Koji, who was being held at knife point by Okie.
Harry Mitchell got involved in a violent tussle, and was knocked unconscious but when he came around, he realised that he had accidentally stabbed Okie. He panicked and tried to help Okie but it was too late as he was already dead, and when Harry’s dad Teddy rushed onto the scene, he decided to take the blame for his son.
Just before the credits rolled, Teddy was arrested and was seen being driven off in a police car. The dramatic scenes were part of a conclusion of a cuckooing storyline, which has seen Okie take part in the criminal practice of taking over the home of a vulnerable person with the intent to deal drugs.
Speaking about the storyline, executive producer Ben Wadey said: “At EastEnders, we’re proud to tell stories that reflect the real challenges people face, and Kojo’s cuckooing storyline is one that feels especially important. Cuckooing is a form of exploitation that too often goes unseen and hasn’t featured on EastEnders before.
“Through Kojo’s experience we hope to have shined a light on how easily vulnerable people can be manipulated and isolated – something that can happen in any community, but feels particularly resonant in a city like London, where people live side by side and yet can still slip through the cracks.
“Working closely with experts and charities, our aim has been to tell this story with care and authenticity, and to raise awareness as to how to identify the signs of exploitation and the importance of reaching out for help.”
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
EastEnders have announced that iconic character Sam Mitchell, played by Kim Medcalf, will be making a return in December, as they shared details in a huge statement online

The official EastEnders Instagram page shared a huge statement announcing that Sam will be back for a ‘short stint’ and shared a first look picture of the soap star
EastEnders has announced that an iconic character will return to the BBC soap. Sam Mitchell will be making a return to Walford after two years when she left for Spain in 2023, just months after her long-awaited return to the show.
Sam had been off screen since 2016. She was previously played by original actress Danniella Westbrook, but now Kim is back to reprise her much-loved role in December.
The official EastEndersInstagram page shared a huge statement announcing that Sam will be back for a ‘short stint’ and shared a first look picture of the soap star.
The statement read: “First-look pictures of Sam Mitchell who heads back to Walford this Christmas as Kim Medcalf reprises her much-loved role in December for a short stint.
“Whilst Sam has only been away from Albert Square for almost two years, Walford has changed immensely since she left, most notably with enemy and ex-murder accomplice Zoe Slater now residing there.”
Jogging fans’ memory on her story, they added: “Zoe and Sam have not seen each other for over 20 years, and whilst there is no doubt that Zoe has had difficult times, she never took any lawful responsibility for her role in Den Watts’ murder which Sam initially took the blame for.
“As the enemies come face-to-face for the first time, only time will tell if the pair are willing to put their troubles from the past aside, or if Sam has an ulterior motive for revenge…
“If her past behaviour is anything to go by, Sam will not receive a warm welcome from her family upon her return, but with a troubling situation causing concern for the estranged Mitchell sister, it soon becomes apparent that Sam needs her family now more than ever…”
Kim Medcalf said it was a ‘joy’ to be asked to return and that she ‘loves’ the character Sam. She said: “It’s such a joy to be asked to come back to EastEnders, especially as it’s the festive period and you know there will always be plenty of fireworks.
“I love the character of Sam, she always causes drama wherever she goes, but she also has that vulnerable side too, which is great to play. It’s also lovely being back on set with the fantastic cast and to see old friends and new faces.”
EastEnders Executive Producer, Ben Wadey, is also thrilled. He said: “I’m delighted to welcome Kim Medcalf back to EastEnders for a short stint later this year.
“It’s no secret that wherever Sam Mitchell goes, drama inevitably follows, and with ex-accomplice Zoe Slater back in the Square, only time will tell if there is space for forgiveness between the pair, or whether battle lines will be drawn.”

The Masked Singer star shared her shock diagnosis at a Dine with Davina event yesterday, before posting an emotional video on Instagram today.
The crowd at the charity do – hosted at the Utilita Bowl in Southampton, Hampshire – gasped as she opened up on her quiet struggle.
Davina explained she made the discovery a few weeks ago, but has since had the lump removed and been given the all clear.
She will not undergo chemotherapy, but will be required to have five days of radiotherapy as a “insurance policy”.
Davina had spotted signs in the ITV Studios encouraging people to “check their boobs”, which had been put up by Lorraine.
In the video on social media, she said: “I was working on The Masked Singer and Lorraine, the TV show.
“Lorraine Kelly had put signs on the backs of all the doors saying ‘check your breasts’ and every time I went for a wee I did that.
“It was still there, and then one morning I saw myself in the mirror and thought ‘I’m going to get that looked at’.”
Speaking on stage, she said: “I went and I got it checked. She (the doctor) was like, ‘You’re fine. You had a mammogram in August. It’ll be fine’.
“And I thought, oh, I’ll be fine. That’s great. But then she said, ‘Oh, well, if it is anything, we’ll do a little biopsy’.
“‘But if it is anything, it’s so small, you’ve got it early’. Anyway, I got the result back a few days ago. It was four millimetres, which is minute.
“I had a biopsy. I found out it was indeed breast cancer and I had it taken out in a lumpectomy nearly three weeks ago.”
She said her fiance and hairdresser Michael Douglas, 52, encouraged her to open up about how she was feeling.
Davina continued: “Because when I got it I just started feeling much better – you and me got into a really good place.
“I got really f*****g angry. And you know me, I’m a pacifist – I don’t really get angry – I’m like Tigger. I’m just always happy.
“I was like: ‘Are you f******g joking? What the f**k! Are you serious?”
“I was keeping it all in and Michael one day looked at me and he said: ‘Stop. I can see what you’re doing.
“‘You’re not going there. He said: ‘Let’s talk about it – I said: ‘I’m fine.
“He said: ‘You’re not fine’. I was like: ‘No, no, I’m fine. Honestly. ‘I’m not f*****g fine, that’s why I’m f*****g mad.
“He just sat and he came and watched me and I was f*****g stamping my feet. And it felt so good.”

It comes almost a year after the mum-of-threeunderwent emergency surgeryto remove a “very rare” brain tumour.
The Long Lost Family host initially broke the news to her followers in a heartwrenching video on Instagram.
Davina had asked for prayers before having the operation to get the 14mm benign tumour – called a colloid cyst – removed.
Davina previously said her operation to remove the benign tumour was “the best thing to ever happen to me”.
She admitted spiralling into denial after it was discovered by chance last year, but was spurred into action by surgeons.
Breaking down in tears at Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place Festival, Davina revealed doctors told her she would die if she didn’t act quickly.
Symptoms of breast cancer in women
Symptoms of breast cancer in women may include:
a lump, or swelling in your breast, chest or armpit
a change in the skin of your breast, such as dimpling (may look like orange peel) or redness (may be harder to see on black or brown skin)
a change in size or shape of 1 or both breasts
nipple discharge (if you are not pregnant or breastfeeding), which may have blood in it
a change in the shape or look of your nipple, such as it turning inwards (inverted nipple) or a rash on it (may look like eczema)
pain in your breast or armpit which does not go away – breast pain that comes and goes is usually not a symptom of breast cancer
It’s important to check your breasts regularly so you know what’s normal for you. This makes it easier to notice any changes in the size, look or feel of your breasts.
See a GP if:
you have a lump or swelling in your breast, chest or armpit
you have any changes in your breasts or nipples that are not normal for you
you have pain in your breast or armpit that does not go away
She said: “I needed someone to tell me what to do, and my American doctor told me I should undergo surgery to have the tumour cut out.
“When I got the phone call, although it was a hard one to hear, I needed it.
“But after the operation, I was aware of a noise in my head, and they were thoughts. I realised I did not have that before.
“I am not afraid of dying anymore. It was the biggest journey of my life. It was an amazing time.”
Edwards’ position at Middlesbrough, given his current employment, would provide some obstacles, with Boro believed to be entitled to a significant compensation fee.
Edwards is a former Wolves Under-23 coach and was also first-team coach, having had a two-game interim spell in charge in 2016, and distanced himself from the role.
“I was told by my daughter yesterday [Sunday], so that probably tells you where I stand on it,” he said.
“You know my links to the club but my full focus is on this job here, which is a brilliant job, and trying to turn things around from the weekend in a really big game against Leicester.
“Speculation stuff is hard for me to comment about, anything else other than Middlesbrough, which is where my focus is, that we’ve done a decent job so far.”
Wolves have a history of appointing managers with close links to high-profile agent Jorge Mendes, in Nuno Espirito Santo, Bruno Lage and Pereira.
It is understood that in addition to O’Neil, Wolves were speaking to at least one manager from Mendes’ stable.
O’Neil was sacked by Wolves in December 2024 following a disappointing start to the 2024-25 campaign, failing to win in their opening 10 games.
Suzanne Rogers, who has spent more than five decades as a cast member on the soap opera “Days of Our Lives,” has enviable endurance. This past summer, she learned she was even stronger than she’d thought.
For six weeks between June and July, Rogers, 82, underwent treatment for Stage II colorectal cancer, she told TV Insider in an interview published Thursday. The actor said she was diagnosed with the disease earlier this year after consulting a doctor about a nagging feeling that something “wasn’t quite right” with her body.
Colorectal cancer is a term for cancer originating in the colon or rectum. Chances of occurrence increase with age, and experts recommend regular screenings for those age 45 and above, continuing until at least age 75.
Rogers suspected her health issues might be serious when her doctor told her he would like to do a slew of tests, including a colonoscopy, MRI and PET scan. Still, when he confirmed the bad news, the Daytime Emmy winner — who already did routine colonoscopies — couldn’t believe it.
“I think I was in shock for several days because I take pretty good care of myself,” she told TV Insider. Fortunately, her doctor said, “It’s a good thing you caught it in time.”
After wrapping on “Days” in June, Rogers began daily radiation and chemotherapy treatments. She said the intense regimen made her treasure her weekends “because I didn’t have to go to and see a doctor. I was so tired of seeing doctors.”
Luckily, the Peacock soap happened to be on hiatus at the time, so Rogers had no trouble making her appointments. On top of that, her onscreen daughter Linsey Godfrey, who herself battled Hodgkin‘s lymphoma as a teenager, was able to accompany her on treatment visits, which made the ordeal less daunting.
“We really feel like a family,” Rogers said, adding that other cast and crew members regularly called to check in on her, and the “Days” producers never rushed her recovery.
“They all said, ‘Don’t worry about a thing, take care of yourself, get yourself well. That’s the most important thing. We are here,’ ” Rogers said. As the actor heads back to the “Days” set next week, she said she is “feeling really good,” albeit nervous that lingering fatigue might hold her back.
“That’s the only anxiousness I feel. It’s not because of my illness, let’s put it that way,” she said. When she does return to the screen, Rogers will still be sporting her famous ginger mane, as she didn’t lose her hair during chemo.
“Days of Our Lives” premiered on NBC in 1965 and is currently airing Season 61 on Peacock. In July, the classic daytime drama announced it had been renewed for a 62nd and 63rd season on the streaming service.
