Vogue Williams admits she has ‘separate life’ to Spencer Matthews

Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews have been married since 2018 and share three children, but she admits she initially didn’t fancy him and likes to keep a ‘separate life’

Vogue Williams has revealed she prefers to maintain a “separate life” from husband Spencer Matthews. The 40-year-old encountered the former Made in Chelsea star whilst filming The Jump on Channel 4 back in 2017.

The Irish podcast presenter initially admits she “didn’t fancy” Spencer and believed he “wasn’t for her”. Yet she says her mates “really wanted me to sleep with Spencer” and thought he’d fit in with their circle.

Nevertheless, shortly after their first meeting, romance flourished, and in January 2018 Spencer proposed during an outing to see The Lion King in London. The couple wed that June at Glen Affric, the Matthews family’s Scottish estate.

Speaking recently at Meta’s HQ in Dublin, Vogue acknowledged she enjoys maintaining a “separate life” from her spouse. This came as she recounted an incident where he irritated her whilst she was preparing to spend time with My Therapist Ghosted Me co-host Joanne McNally.

Asked who she favours between Joanne and Spencer, Vogue answered: “Well it depends what I need them for. I went for a walk with Joanne on Sunday morning and Spenny was insistent that he wanted to go for lunch and then Joanne was like, ‘I’m not hungry, I want to go home.'”

She continued: “So I was in a huff with Spenny, as I was going on a walk with Joanne and he interrupted it. I try to, I like to have a separate life as well, Spenny he has his friends and I have my friends.”

In her autobiography Big Mouth, Vogue confesses she worried a romance with Spencer wouldn’t “have gone very well” regardless because he “was yet to form a serious bone in his body”. Vogue meanwhile acknowledges she tended to find herself “getting serious quickly”.

The duo nevertheless “got on famously” following Spencer’s arrival at The Jump dressed in tracksuit bottoms, slippers, and “reeking of booze”. Vogue penned: “I had done a lot of work with my therapist up to this point; we had decided that if I continue to fall for guys I felt I needed to fix or help I was just repeating a pattern and that it always ended the same way (disastrously).

“Spencer, being a man made of red flags, was not for me I decided, and I didn’t really fancy him anyway so it was all good. I did, however, love his personality.”

The pair now have three children together – Theodore, Gigi and Otto. Vogue has previously revealed she would have “swiped past” Spencer had they encountered each other on a dating app.

She shared this during an earlier episode of Vogue and Amber, whilst responding to a listener finding it difficult to discover love through digital platforms. Vogue remarked: “You’re just judging someone completely on the way they look.

“And I always say this, Spencer is obviously gorgeous, but he wouldn’t have been my type when we met. And I would have swiped past him on a dating app.

“And then we met, and we were mad about each other because we just loved each other’s personalities. So, I think trying to meet somebody in real life, although it can be hard, can be a really amazing thing.”

Amanda Holden says ‘let’s not’ in fresh swipe at Phillip Schofield after bitter feud

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has been open about her feelings towards Phillip Schofield in recent years, following the pair’s reported fallout in 2018

Amanda Holden has taken a fresh swipe at Phillip Schofield after his name was mentioned live on air on Tuesday. The 56-year-old and her Heart Radio co-host Jamie Theakston were joined by Jack Whitehall ahead of his hosting duties at The Brit Awards this weekend.

During the discussion, Amanda was keen to know what Jack was wearing for the gig, to which he confirmed it would be a suit. Pressed further on whether he would opt for a “snappy pair of socks” like his dad, he joked: “I’m not going to go too jazzy with the socks, you never want to be upstaged by a sock.”

Turning to her co-star following the response, she said: “Well, Jamie, I rest my case.”

Puzzled by her comment, her co-star asked: “What are you talking about? Children’s television? That wasn’t me, that was Phillip Schofield.”

After instantly hearing his name, Amanda didn’t hold back from taking a swipe at her former This Morning co-star. She said with a laugh: “Oh god, please, let’s not mention that name on air, it’s a family show!”

The pair fronted This Morning together for a brief period while Holly Willoughby was on maternity leave in 2014.

Four years later, reports claimed that Phillip had ruined her chances to co-host with him again, as Holly fronted I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! alongside Declan Donnelly.

A former daytime TV executive previously told The Sun that Phillip “actively campaigned” for Rochelle Humes to get the job instead.

However, an ITV spokesperson later denied the reports, stating that presenter decisions are only made by producers.

Phillip also addressed the rumours on social media, branding them “hurtful and wildly untrue”.

While Amanda didn’t comment directly on the reports, she has made no secret of her true thoughts toward him over the years.

During a playful game on Heart Radio about three things she didn’t want to find in her home, she quipped in 2019: “Spiders, flies and Phillip Schofield.”

Later, she revealed she had reached out to him for a heart-to-heart over coffee but claimed he didn’t respond.

Quizzed about her former co-star on Heart, Amanda confessed: “I did offer to meet him for a coffee months ago, he didn’t reply to my text. What can I say?”

Jamie added: “The olive branch had been extended,” to which she replied: “Oh, yes.”

The presenter has also previously appeared to take a swipe at Phillip’s former co-star Holly.

Discussing reports about her and Paul C. Brunson’s show Unfinished Business being commissioned for a second series, Amanda was asked if they were true.

“Well, yesterday I read in the paper that we are doing another series, but I don’t know for sure,” she confessed.

Cheekily stirring things up, he replied: “What are they suggesting, they getting Holly Willoughby?”

Caught off guard, Amanda responded: “I… what?!”, followed with a laugh and the comment: “No, they want a proper presenter.”

Jamie replied: “You’re going to get in trouble for that!”, to which Amanda said playfully: “No one’s listening.”

YouTube’s Sidemen tease ‘insane’ new gameshow as fans urged to ‘start petition’

A Sidemen star has opened up about potentially launching a spin-off version of the group’s hit reality show, Inside

Sidemen star Ethan Payne has told fans to ‘start a petition’ as he teased a wild gameshow that would be open to the YouTube group’s viewers.

Best known as Behzinga, the 30-year-old co-founded the content creation group, which features KSI, Simon Minter, Vikram Singh Barn, Joshua Bradley, Harry Lewis, and Tobi Brown.

Along with their collective YouTube channels, the Sidemen also host a reality show called Inside, which was picked up by Netflix last year. The high-stakes series follows a group of influencers living under one roof and competing for a huge prize pot of up to £1 million. They face daily challenges and every decision can deduct money from the final cash prize.

While the show has traditionally featured famous faces, Ethan has confirmed that there is hope for a fresh series centred on everyday contestants.

He spoke to the Mirror ahead of the Formula E EVO Sessions, which took place last Sunday (February 16) at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit in Saudi Arabia.

The star competed against the world’s biggest content creators, getting behind the wheel of the cutting-edge GEN3 Evo race car. You can stream all the action now on Formula E’s YouTube channel.

When asked about opening up the Inside competition to their fanbase, Ethan said: “Me and JJ [KSI] have definitely said it would be insane to watch with people from the public.

“Because the amount of care for the prize money would be insane and I feel like you’d get a lot more drama. It might be too much drama.”

The father-of-one continued: “I definitely think there’d be a bit more of a real edge to it and people’s decisions would definitely have way more of a knock-on [effect] throughout the whole thing.” He went on to joke: “Start a petition!”

Sidemen fans should probably get a petition rolling if they want the show to become a reality, though we have to warn that Ethan set the bar at 100,000 viewers co-signing the idea. But it should be an easy feat considering group collectively boasts over 100 million subscribers.

Inside is available to stream on Netflix and Formula E’s 2026 EVO Sessions are available to stream now on YouTube.
