Hazbin Hotel season 2 is here with the first two episodes of the new season dropping on October 29
Hazbin Hotel season 2 has eight episodes(Image: PRIME VIDEO)
Hazbin Hotel is back with a bang for its second series, following the adventures of Hell’s crown princess Charlie Morningstar, portrayed by Erika Henningsen.
Charlie continues her mission to offer sinners redemption and a ticket to Heaven through her Hazbin Hotel, an alternative to Heaven’s annual soul “Extermination” due to Hell’s overcrowding.
The first series was a hit, earning a solid 78% on Rotten Tomatoes, and it has continued to grow in popularity with a dedicated following.
Here’s everything you need to know about where to catch the second series. The show is brought to life by SpindleHorse in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios, reports the Express.
While the pilot debuted on YouTube, Amazon Prime Video has since picked up the series, making season two available to all Prime Video subscribers.
The first two episodes of the new eight-part series were released on 29 October, with the rest airing weekly thereafter.
So, mark your calendars as the season two finale is set to air on 19 November.
The titles for the first two episodes have been revealed as New Pentious and Storyteller.
Series creator Vivienne “VivziePop” Medrano has hinted at some changes following feedback from the first series.
She promised better pacing and storytelling, with a more straightforward plot to follow. Medrano also gave fans a glimpse into the future of the show, revealing a five-series plan is in place.
Speaking to Polygon, she shared her thoughts on the latest season: “The pacing is better, because the story is simpler than season one, where there was so much going on.
“We were meeting the characters, we were dealing with the Heaven extermination deadline being pushed up, we were dealing with a big build to a final stand. There was just so much to cram into those eight episodes, at 22 minutes each.
“So the runtime for the episodes in season two are longer by default. We were able to get much more out of the runtime, and out of the episode count.”
Hazbin Hotel season 2 is now available on Prime Video.

The Girlfriend has just dropped on Prime Video and the ending of the series has left fans with their jaws on the floor as they discover what Cherry is really capable of
Daniel (Laurie Davidson) with girlfriend Cherry(Image: PRIME VIDEO)
The Girlfriend, a new addition to Prime Video’s roster, centres around successful businesswoman, wife and mother, Laura, portrayed by Robin Wright.
Her idyllic life is thrown into chaos when her son Daniel (Laurie Davidson), the apple of her eye, introduces his new girlfriend, Cherry (Olivia Cooke).
Adapted from Michelle Frances’ novel of the same name, the series sees Laura growing increasingly suspicious of Cherry – but is she just being overly cautious?
Viewers are presented with two contrasting narratives – Laura’s and Cherry’s – both starkly different, but which one holds the truth?
Here’s everything you need to know about the shocking conclusion of The Girlfriend as fans uncover Cherry’s true colours.
In the series finale, Daniel pops the question to Cherry after regaining some of his memory post-accident.
While Daniel prefers to keep the engagement under wraps, Cherry insists on celebrating, persuading Daniel to throw a party.
Just as things start looking up for the couple, the relationship between Howard (Waleed Zuaiter) and Laura reaches breaking point, with Howard unable to tolerate his wife’s unsettling behaviour any longer.
Determined not to let go of her suspicions, Laura pays a visit to Cherry’s father at his care home, discovering that he had survived a fall from a building while working on a construction site.
Seeking more answers, Laura paid a visit to Cherry’s mum, Tracey (Karen Henthorn), who revealed that her husband had left both herself and Cherry in debt.

Cherry had managed to find her father in the hope of persuading him to return, but in a fit of anger she had pushed him from the building.
Laura, having recorded the conversation as evidence for Daniel, arranged a meeting to explain everything to her son.
In the meantime, Cherry vandalised Laura’s gallery after discovering what she had done, leaving Laura’s lover Lilith (Anna Chancellor) devastated.
Cherry was arrested at her engagement party for criminal damage, but her mum bailed her out, although she vowed not to keep Cherry’s secret about what she did to her dad any longer.
Back at Laura’s home, Daniel confronted his mother and vented his frustration about her controlling behaviour.
Wanting him to know the truth, Laura slipped sleeping pills into Daniel’s drink so he wouldn’t try to escape when she showed him the evidence.
Daniel and Laura had a close relationship(Image: PRIME VIDEO)
However, Cherry managed to break into the house and a fight broke out between Cherry and Laura, resulting in them both falling into the swimming pool.
As Daniel saw his mother trying to drown Cherry, he jumped in to rescue his fiancée and began holding his mother’s head under the water.
Cherry screamed for him to stop, but by then it was too late and Laura had drowned.
A flash forward revealed that Cherry and Daniel had gone ahead with their wedding and Cherry was expecting a baby.
In a chilling twist, Daniel stumbled upon Laura’s misplaced phone under the sideboard, revealing a recorded conversation with Cherry’s mum.
Upon hearing the shocking truth about Cherry’s violent tendencies, Daniel was forced to accept that his mother had been correct all along.
The much-loved Grey’s Anatomy spin-off, Station 19, centres around a team of firefighters from the Seattle Fire Department.
The series delves into the lives of the crew, from the captain to the newest member, showcasing their professional challenges and personal entanglements.
The gripping drama debuted in 2018 with a backdoor pilot during Grey’s Anatomy’s 14th season, which introduced viewers to protagonist Andy Herrera (Jaina Lee Ortiz).
Andy is part of the Station 19 team alongside Ben Warren (Jason George), the husband of Grey’s Anatomy icon Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson), who had recently swapped his surgical scrubs for a firefighter’s uniform, reports the Express.
Station 19 first premiered in 2018(Image: Getty Images)
This career shift wasn’t new for Ben, who had previously served as an anaesthetist at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.
Throughout its tenure, Station 19 saw its characters cross paths with the Grey’s Anatomy cast in several thrilling crossover episodes.
Despite its popularity and strong viewership, Station 19 was axed last year following seven seasons. However, fans now have the chance to watch the entire series again as it has been released on Prime Video.
Since its arrival on the streaming platform earlier this month, Prime subscribers have been devouring episodes, with many holding out hope for a revival of the show.
The series centred around firefighter Andy Herrera(Image: Getty Images)
“Station 19 just dropped on Prime Video UK, proof that global demand is still burning strong. Fans never stopped watching. Season 8 was outlined. The cast is ready. The world is watching. Bring back #Station19. We’re not done,” one hopeful fan penned on X (formerly Twitter).
Another chimed in: “Omg Station 19 on Prime! A season 8 will be perfect. Definitely Station 19 deserves more seasons. ONE TEAM, ONE FAMILY.”
Even over a year after the show’s cancellation, fans continue to express their enthusiasm, with one viewer posting on IMDb: “Station 19 is nothing short of a blazing masterpiece that keeps the flames of excitement burning from the very first episode to the last.”
Fans were devastated when the show was cancelled last year(Image: Getty Images)
“Station 19 is so much more than a Grey’s Anatomy spin-off. This show is deep, thoughtful, thrilling, and so much more than just your run-of-the-mill emergency show,” another fan contributed.
A third enthusiast remarked: “The show is probably one of, if not, the best firefighter drama on television. It’s defo better than Grey’s Anatomy.”
Echoing the widespread adoration, a fourth admirer commented: “Station 19 is without a doubt one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Can’t believe it was cancelled.”
The programme might have slipped past some viewers’ attention, but it delivers an exceptional viewing experience.
One glowing IMDb review stated: “An immaculate, terrifying alternate history that is accurate down to the buttons. I love period pieces, and this scary projection of a post WW2 hegemony ruled by the Japanese and German empires certainly fits the bill.”
Another viewer gushed: “I’m a TV show lover, but never! ever! has a series made me want to write a review.”
They continued: “The story line is incredible. The acting is great. The emotions that it brought out of me was real and raw. It made me appreciate and think differently about the word/idea/concept that we all throw around ‘FREEDOM [sic].'”
Rufus Sewell starred in the groundbreaking series(Image: PRIME VIDEO)
A third reviewer entitled their assessment: “An amazing adaptation of the novel!”.
They elaborated: “The pilot episode was exceptional. It held my attention and made me believe in such an alternate history.
“I have read the book, and although it is different, it is an incredible adaptation. If the book was turned into a show without any edits, it would be far too complicated and very hard to enjoy (although the book is incredible).
“The acting, story, and visuals are spot on and only intensified what I had imagined when I read the book.”

The Man in the High Castle first aired in 2015 and was Amazon Prime Video’s inaugural original series, spanning four seasons.
The series is an adaptation of renowned science fiction author Philip K. Dick’s 1962 novel bearing the same title.
The plot envisages an alternate history where Adolf Hitler and the Nazis emerged victorious from WW2, with the action set 15 years post-conflict.

The storyline follows various characters living under the rule of Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany in a divided USA.
The TV adaptation stays true to this premise and centres around Juliana Crain (portrayed by Alexa Davalos), who starts to rebel against the regime after viewing a subversive newsreel titled The Grasshopper Lies Heavy, which portrays a world where the USA and the Allies triumphed in the war.
The Man in the High Castle was Prime Video’s first major original series. The streaming platform kick-started its original programming by producing a series of pilots and inviting its users to vote on which one they wanted to see developed into a full series, with the science fiction alternate history emerging as the winner.
The Man in the High Castle boasts a star-studded cast including Davalos, Rufus Sewell from ITV’s Victoria and The Holidays, Luke Kleintank known for FBI and Bones, DJ Qualls of Z Nation fame, Joel de la Fuente from Hemlock Grove, and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, renowned for Pearl Harbor and Netflix’s Lost in Space.

Last week’s episode saw Belly (played by Lola Tung) and her ex Conrad (Christopher Briney) close to locking lips after she helped him with an injury.
The couple’s almost-kiss forced Belly’s feelings for Conrad to resurface, despite the pair breaking up four years ago.
Belly was left shocked at the revelation, considering she’d thought her emotions were dead and buried.
After Conrad’s own telling POV episode, Belly’s feelings could cause major problems for her impending wedding to his brother Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno).
Episode seven could see the fallout of Belly and Conrad’s near-kiss after Belly already seemed to have got wedding jitters.
She even confided her feelings to Taylor (Rain Spencer), and it looks like things are just going to get worse for her here on out.

TV lovers can get 30 days’ free access to tantalising TV like The Boys, Reacher and Clarkson’s Farm by signing up to Amazon Prime. Just remember to cancel at the end and you won’t be charged.
So fans still have a month to wait and see who will be endgame in the show.
Reflecting on Conrad’s arc in season three, author and co-showrunner Jenny Han said: “I was excited for him to go to the West Coast and in some ways start fresh. It’s a lot harder to try out new things when you’re around the same people.
“In a new place, there’s no preconceived notions or expectations on who you are and how you would behave in a situation.
“So being away from everyone, he’s been able to really explore who he could be…. He’s doing things that he used to love and then cut himself off from because he was in a not great place before.”
She added: “In the interim, I think he’s done a lot of healing.”
Although Han didn’t confirm how the show would end and if it would be different from the novels, her words suggest that perhaps Conrad is better placed to deal with his emotions and be with Belly now rather than previously in the aftermath of his grief.

We Were Liars left Prime Video subscribers distraught in the last few moments of its agonising finale.
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from We Were Liars.
We Were Liars star Caitlin Fitzgerald has addressed fans’ emotional TikTok videos as they film themselves reacting to the drama’s final episode.
Based on author E. Lockhart’s novel of the same name, We Were Liars revolves around the extraordinarily rich Sinclair family who spend their summers at their private island off the coast of Massachusetts.
One summer, Cadence Sinclair (played by Emily Alyn Lind) was involved in an incident that she can remember nothing about and no one will tell her what happened.
But it was the last episode of the Prime Video drama where her world really came crashing down when she discovers that she and her cousins Johnny (Joseph Zada) and Mirren Sinclair (Esther McGregor) and family friend Gat Patil (Shubham Maheshwari) set the mansion on fire.
In a devastating turn of events though, Cadence was the only one who was able to get out in time with Johnny, Mirren and Gat all dying in the blaze.
We Were Liars is based on the best-selling book of the same name by author E. Lockhart. (Image: PRIME VIDEO)
Throughout the series, Cadence had simply been imagining her friends were by her side, and was beside herself when she realised the truth.
Understandably, subscribers who hadn’t read the book were shocked, with an ongoing TikTok trend of fans filming themselves sobbing at the finale.
When Screen Time spoke to Penny Sinclair star Caitlin Fitzgerald about the reaction on social media, she admitted she wasn’t surprised.
“I always feel like I have to slightly apologise for what we put you through with that show. It’s a rough ride”, Fitzgerald laughs.
“A few years after the book came out during Covid, there was a similar kind of reading the last chapter and filming yourself weeping.
“So I was somewhat prepared for it but we knew because we couldn’t get through the script.”
We Were Liars’ Cadence Sinclair is played by actress Emily Alyn Lind. (Image: PRIME VIDEO)
Fitzgerald continues: “We did a read through of the final episode and all of us were beside ourselves.
“Even David Morrissey who is quite a stoic guy, was just like ‘give me a second’, had to kind of compose himself.
“And we knew what was coming so I can only imagine what it was like the first go around if you didn’t know.”
An official renewal hasn’t been given to We Were Liars just yet but there are talks of a prequel in the works, based on Lockhart’s novel Family of Liars.
So fans are just going to have to wait for now to find out if there will be more on the way from the Sinclair family.
We Were Liars is available to watch on Prime Video.
The instalment titled Last Dance saw Conrad chivalrously helping Belly with wedding shopping after Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno) was stuck in New York for some of the July 4 weekend.
There was also a flashback to Belly and Conrad sharing an intimate moment, which was the last time they were together before he ended their romance.
Throughout the episode Conrad expressed his regrets about letting her go and trying to be there for his younger brother after making a deathbed promise to his mother Susannah Fisher (Rachel Blanchard).
Many fans are now fiercely debating about which of the Fisher brothers Belly should be with.
In an exclusive interview with Reach Screen Time, relationship coach Gemma Nice addressed Conrad’s green flags that makes him the ideal partner for Belly.
Nice said Conrad’s green flags were “undeniable” and went on to explain how he remained single after four years since breaking things off with Belly.
Conrad could be a better match for Belly in The Summer I Turned Pretty(Image: PRIME VIDEO)
Moreover, Conrad “openly admits that she is the only person he has ever truly loved”, while Jeremiah cheated on Belly twice after they’d had an argument about spring break.
Nice went on to say: “Throughout the series, Conrad consistently shows that he listens to her and pays attention to details in ways Jeremiah does not.
“In series one, he chose an infinity necklace in silver, Belly’s preferred colour, while Jeremiah overlooked this detail with her [engagement] ring.
In series two, during a conversation with Jeremiah in the store, Conrad remembered that she would enjoy sour sweets and prefers this over Swedish Fish which Jeremiah picked up for her, further showing how attentive he is.
“Most recently, in series three, after overhearing her crying, he baked her favourite cakes to comfort her. These moments highlight Conrad’s unwavering thoughtfulness.”
Nice added: “Conrad puts the happiness of the love of his life first. In [a] recent episode, he even agreed to be his brother’s best man despite how painful it was for him, because he knew it would make Belly happy after seeing her cry about no one wanting the wedding between her and Jeremiah to go ahead.
Conrad seemed to be more attentive to Belly than Jeremiah (Image: PRIME VIDEO)
“This contrasts with Jeremiah, who agreed that Belly should not go to Paris, a lifelong dream of hers, because he selfishly wanted her to stay at home.”
Audiences will have to keep watching to see if Conrad can keep his feelings from Belly or if the truth will eventually come out.
If Conrad does share his feelings, it could have huge consequences for Belly and Jeremiah, who are due to walk down the aisle.

The Summer I Turned Pretty (TSITP) fans were left in uproar recently following Jeremiah Fisher’s (played by Gavin Casalegno) lacklustre proposal to girlfriend Belly Conklin (Lola Tung) following his cheating admission as fans have already worked out the show’s endgame.
Jeremiah sprung the proposal initially without a ring in the Prime Video series, before later getting her one that Taylor Jewel (Rain Spencer) later compared to a tiny sliver of “tinfoil”.
Despite being such a tiny piece of jewellery, Belly was enamoured and fully on board to marry Jeremiah while glossing over his infidelity.
But as the show goes on, could the cracks be starting to show in Belly and Jeremiah’s romance?
Reach Screen Time spoke exclusively to award-winning sex and relationship coach Gemma Nice about Jeremiah’s reg flags, which could spell disaster for his relationship with Belly.
Belly’s engagement ring from Jeremiah was tiny in The Summer I Turned Pretty(Image: PRIME VIDEO)
Nice explained: “Jeremiah seems to constantly be in competition mode with his brother, even when it’s not reciprocated, in order to gain validation from his father, who clearly favours Conrad.
“His relationship with Belly feels partly like an extension of that competition, especially in [a] recent episode where he tells Laurel (her mother), “Belly chose me,” which many felt should have been finished as, “Belly chose me, not my brother,” showing he loves the idea of winning.”
The relationship expert went on to say: “Another red flag is Jeremiah’s questionable commitment. After an argument with Belly about going on holiday without telling her, he made a passive breakup comment and, within days, slept with another girl twice. If he were truly devoted, he wouldn’t have left that argument unresolved or sought comfort elsewhere.”
Jeremiah and Belly need to work on their relationship in The Summer I Turned Pretty(Image: PRIME VIDEO)
TV lovers can get 30 days’ free access to tantalising TV like The Boys, Reacher and Clarkson’s Farm by signing up to Amazon Prime. Just remember to cancel at the end and you won’t be charged.
Despite Jeremiah’s minuscule engagement ring, Nice said that the size of the ring wasn’t the issue but rather his behaviour overall and lack of care, including ordering the most expensive thing on the menu when Laurel said she would pay, buying the ring on his father’s credit card without permission, and choosing a gold ring when Belly wears silver jewellery.
Reflecting on why Belly was quick to overlook Jeremiah’s infidelity, she said: “Belly may have been trying to maintain a positive outcome with the engagement because she truly believes that Jeremiah can change and has hope that the issues they face from the outside world will disappear once they are married. Belly may also believe that she would be on her own if she did not say yes to Jeremiah.
Belly overlooked Jeremiah’s cheating in The Summer I Turned Pretty(Image: PRIME VIDEO)
“She’s likely willing to overlook all of his red flags simply because she loves Jeremiah and wants to make it work, without taking into consideration anyone else’s feelings, as Belly sees it as just the two of them within the relationship.”
Adding: “Belly may also lack healthy boundaries and is therefore willing to say yes to Jeremiah. She could be hoping that Jeremiah will change once she has agreed to the engagement and believes she has the power to change him.”
Fans will have to wait and see if Belly and Jeremiah make it down the aisle, but it’s clear their marriage would be starting off on a rocky foundation with both of them needing to work on themselves.
Goodsprings, Nevada, is a ghost town located just 30 minutes outside of Las Vegas – and it’s proving incredibly popular with tourists, with thousands flocking in each year

Located in the middle of nowhere and allegedly haunted, the ghost town of Goodsprings is far from the most obvious tourist destination.
Coupled with its proximity to the dazzling lights of Las Vegas, it would be easy for Goodsprings to be overlooked. But, despite its spooky history and sparse amenities, the town finds itself subject to thousands of visitors every year.
Just half an hour away from the city’s bustling strip and vibrant nightlife, life in Goodsprings could not be more different. Home to around 200 residents, this quiet town at the base of the Spring Mountains in the Nevada desert was once a bustling mining hub.
In its heyday in the early 1900s, it housed 800 inhabitants and boasted amenities such as a hospital, hotels and a school – which remarkably still operates today, albeit with only two pupils on its roll. However, as the ore reserves in the Goodsprings mines dwindled, so did its populace.

In 1942, the town served as the base for a special search mission following the tragic plane crash that claimed the life of actress Carole Lombard. Her aircraft crashed into Potosi Mountain, and her husband, Hollywood legend Clark Gable, anxiously awaited news at Goodsprings’ Pioneer Saloon.
It’s said that Gable’s cigar burns can still be seen on the Saloon’s bar to this day. Consequently, there’s a memorial room at the Pioneer honouring its connection to the iconic couple.
Today, Goodsprings has a somewhat eerie aura. A drive through the town on its dusty roads evokes a spooky feeling.
The historic Pioneer Saloon has been the site of many fascinating tales(Image: Darrell Craig Harris via Getty Images)
Often the subject of folk tales and ghost hunts, Reddit users have shared their experiences of visiting the town. One stated: “When I went to Goodsprings a few years back with my wife, it was completely dead.
“No one was outside or driving around, it looked like a wild west ghost town that time had forgotten”.
Despite its remote location, the owners of the Pioneer Saloon are eager to provide a warm welcome to visitors. Stephen Staats, also known as Old Man Liver, purchased the iconic pub in 2021 and discovered Goodsprings’ unique place in pop culture.
The town serves as the starting point for the cult classic video game Fallout: New Vegas, which features the main character revived after being buried alive in Goodsprings cemetery. Many of the game’s characters are based on real-life residents, and the Pioneer itself is featured in the game, rebranded as the Prospector Saloon.
Different factions pretend to face off during the Fallout Fan Celebration on Saturday, November 16, 2024(Image: Sam Morris/Las Vegas Review-Journal/Tribune News Service via Getty Images)
Recognising the town’s popularity, Staats hosted a Fallout-themed event on National Video Game Day, July 8, in 2022. He expected “maybe 100 in a crazy world”, but was taken aback when more than a thousand fans showed up.
Since then, it has grown year on year, and following the launch of the acclaimed Amazon Prime Video series based off the game, 6,420 people visited Goodsprings in 2024. Fallout fans have praised the town’s atmosphere and welcoming spirit on Reddit, with one saying: “The locals love it, and it’s kind of their only form of tourism.”

Another, who visited before Staats took over the Pioneer, said: “They were incredibly friendly and welcoming both times I went, and there’s even a marble wall inscribed with the town’s residents since it’s founding, movies and TV shows that have filmed there, all sorts of stuff.”
With a second season of the Amazon Prime show greenlit and likely to be set in and around ‘New Vegas’, Goodsprings could become an unlikely destination to rival the dazzling city that casts its wide shadow over the Nevada desert.
The Assassin is a fast-paced thriller interwoven with family drama
Kicking off with a high-energy opening sequence packed with fight scenes and cinematography that could rival a James Bond film, The Assassin certainly delivers, reports the Express.
The six-part series centres around retired hitwoman Julie Green (portrayed by Keeley Hawes), who is reluctantly pulled back into the game for one final, potentially fatal job.
However, there’s a significant hitch: Julie’s estranged journalist son Edward (played by Freddie Highmore) has decided to visit her for the weekend after four years, under the impression that she’s a simple head hunter.
What ensues is a thrilling, fast-paced drama intertwined with family dynamics as Julie and Edward truly reconnect.
This series marks a distinct shift in pace for Hawes, who earlier this year portrayed Cassandra Austen in PBS and BBC’s tranquil period drama Miss Austen. In fact, Hawes’ last venture into Greek territory was as Louisa Durrell in ITV’s heartwarming family series The Durrells, set on the picturesque island of Corfu.

However, with her impressive performances in Spooks, Line of Duty and Ashes to Ashes, Hawes certainly has the action credentials to portray Julie convincingly.
The Assassin sees her reunite with writers Harry and Jack Williams, following her appearance in the second series of their International Emmy-winning show, The Missing.
Her on-screen partnership with Highmore is a match made in heaven as the contrasting pair compete in a battle of wits.
The chemistry between the two actors is palpable, forming the beating heart of the show.
Highmore effortlessly steps into the role of investigative journalist and vegan Edward, portraying his struggles while on the run with ease.
The former child actor is no stranger to intricate on-screen mother-son relationships, having previously played a young Norman Bates in the modern Psycho prequel, Bates Motel.
The Assassin is a sharp-witted thriller (Image: PRIME VIDEO)
Other notable members of the cast include Jack Davenport, Alan Dale, The Tourist’s Shalom Brune-Franklin, and David Dencik from Top of the Lake.
However, this isn’t your typical thriller – there’s a wickedly dark strand of British comedy woven throughout the storyline.
The sharp one-liners flow effortlessly between mother and son, showcasing the Williams brothers’ razor-sharp writing skills.
From Julie being dubbed a “menopausal James Bond” to Edward being cautioned that his search for his biological father “isn’t Mamma Mia”, The Assassin is loaded with as many witty remarks as it is with gunfire and expletives.
Sometimes you’ll find yourself uncertain whether to chuckle at the over-the-top scenarios, but the formula works brilliantly.
The Williams duo have struck gold once more with The Assassin – this is a genuine winner.
Whilst their previous series The Tourist delivered nail-biting tension, The Assassin balances the drama with considerable humour and wit, creating the perfect British action-thriller with a darkly comic twist.

The latest episode featured a subtle scene that could hint at Belly’s endgame
*Warning: This article contains spoilers for The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3*
The Summer I Turned Pretty’s latest episode featured an Easter Egg that could be good news for Team Conrad.
Based on the much-loved YA novels by showrunner Jenny Han, the latest season follows Belly (portrayed by Lola Tung) as she navigates life at university. In addition to her education, she’s also wrapped up in a long-term relationship with Jeremiah Fisher (played by Gavin Casalegno).
Episode three, released on Prime Video on July 23, sees the trio reunited for Susannah Fisher’s memorial. Viewers see the Conklins and Fishers at lunch, where Belly’s mother Laurel (played Jackie Chung) announces she is footing the bill.
Jeremiah orders the most expensive meal on the menu while Conrad opts for the cheapest(Image: Prime Video )
Upon hearing this, Adam Fisher (Tom Everett Scott) orders the most expensive entrée on the menu, the Surf n Turf. Jeremiah follows suit, echoing his father’s $75 request.
However, Conrad takes note that Belly had ordered an affordable starter for her main, and opts for the cheapest item on the menu, the Seared Salmon Fillet.
The scene is significant because the Fishers are portrayed as far wealthier than Belly’s family. Therefore, they could have ordered inexpensive items out of consideration for Belly’s single mother.
Although the scene is fleeting, viewers have noted that it signifies that Conrad is a better partner for Belly because he is more attentive to her family dynamic. This has left supporters of ‘Bonrad’ theorising that this scene is yet another Easter Egg teasing the pair’s eventual reunion.

Taking to Reddit, one viewer voiced: “Not Conrad choosing the cheapest entrée. I can’t. I let out a squeak and cry. Oh my goodness this boy. I love him too much.”
Others were quick to praise the Fisher brother, with a second writing: “He knows Laurel and is so considerate. I love this man.” A third viewer, who completely missed the Easter Egg, penned: “Oh. That’s what that was about.”
“It’s the little things like attentiveness and thoughtful consideration that make Conrad so amazing. He is so in-tune with her needs,” said a fourth.
But others defended Jeremiah, with one arguing: “Don’t offer to pay at an expensive restaurant like that with a table full of young men who will eat you out of house and home if you cannot afford it. It was a silly gesture that Adam won’t even appreciate. Let him pick up the tab, it’s the least he can do.”
While the lunch exchange may have scored points for Conrad, Jeremiah and Belly later revealed to their families that they are engaged. And, as of episode three, the pair intend to go through with their marriage.

The Map That Leads to You will hit Prime Video UK this summer and has already sent fans of the novel into a frenzy over the tearjerker trailer
KJ Apa, famed for his role as Archie Andrews in Riverdale, is unrecognisable in the newly released trailer for a captivating romance film set to premiere on Prime Video next month.
Adapted from JP Monninger’s novel, the film introduces us to Heather Mulgrew, portrayed by Outer Banks star Madelyn Cline, a young traveller whose life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Apa’s enigmatic character, Jack, during her European holiday.
Heather, who’s on a quest for self-discovery before embarking on her career in New York City, finds herself swept up in a whirlwind romance with Jack, a man tracing his grandfather’s footsteps through a journal.
Their journey ignites a passionate affair as they traverse the picturesque landscapes of Spain, Portugal, and Italy, hinting that their connection might be more than a fleeting summer romance.
Yet, as they delve deeper into their relationship, complexities arise, forcing Heather to choose between her ambitions and what could be the love of her life, reports the Express.

Riverdale enthusiasts who’ve lost touch with Apa’s breakthrough series may do a double-take upon seeing the Kiwi actor in this new persona.
Ditching Archie’s iconic red locks for a tousled darker mane and sporting some stubble, Apa also sheds the American accent, fully immersing himself in this fresh character.
The forthcoming drama flick, helmed by the director of What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, Lasse Hallström, will feature Sofia Wylie from The School for Good and Evil and Ozark’s Madison Thompson as Heather’s closest friends.

Keeley Hawes stars in Prime Video’s upcoming thriller series, The Assassin, opposite Freddie Highmore
Keeley Hawes admitted, “I find them funny”, as she made a rare family admission.
The Bodyguard actor is set to star in Prime Video’s upcoming thriller series, The Assassin, which comes from The Tourist writers Harry and Jack Williams.
The six-part drama follows a retired assassin called Julie, played by Keeley, who has made a new life for herself on an idyllic Greek island.
However, when her estranged son, Edward (Freddie Highmore), turns up with questions about his father, Julie’s dangerous past soon catches up with her.
“With questions around Edward’s paternity and Julie’s past life as a hitwoman, the pair go on the run across Europe, working together in a fight for survival,” reads the official synopsis, reports the Express.

“Along the way, their dysfunctional relationship is tested to its limits. They uncover a dark conspiracy they believe to be their only threat, but a greater danger emerges that could destroy their relationship entirely.”
The description concludes: “In a race against time, Julie fights to save Edward and salvage their relationship as past and present collide in a showdown across the globe.”
Alongside Keeley and Freddie, the series also stars Shalom Brune-Franklin, Devon Terrell, Gina Gershon, Jack Davenport, Alan Dale, Richard Dormer and David Dencik.
Speaking to Reach and other press ahead of the show’s premiere, Keeley shared how her real-life parenting experiences helped inform her character Julie’s relationship with her son.

The 49-year-old actor shares 20-year-old daughter Maggie and 18-year-old son Ralph with her husband, Succession actor Matthew Macfadyen, and is also mum to 24-year-old Myles McCallum, whom she shares with her first husband, Spencer.
“I have two sons – three children, two sons… So, I can totally relate to it,” Keeley said.
“What I loved about it is quite often you see relationships on screen and it’s people getting along and they don’t feel particularly real. Whereas, this feels very honest, very authentic.”
Reflecting on her own home life, she added: “You know, you do get p***** off with each other when you have children, and they certainly get p***** off with me. There is quite a lot of sarcasm and my kids, I find them very funny so I really related to this and loved how truthful it felt.”
The Assassin will premiere on Prime Video later this month(Image: Prime Video/Marq Riley)
When discussing Julie and Edward’s dynamic, Keeley noted: “They’re brutal with each other a lot of the time, and those relationships that you have with your children, sometimes they’re the only people that you can be that brutal with, because they can’t get rid of you.
“It doesn’t matter what you say or what they say, so that’s what I took from it that was quite useful for me.”
Keeley went on to reveal that she is “great friends” with her eldest son, which she feels translates into Julie’s layered on-screen relationship with Edward.
“My oldest son is 25 next month… I was young when I had him,” she shared.
“I am his mother, I’m very much his mother but at the same time, we have a relationship that is not like siblings, but we’re great friends as well. And I think something similar has happened there.”
The Assassin will premiere on Prime Video on Friday, July 25
Prime Video subscribers have received a stern warning against bullying and hate speech, as new episodes of a beloved teen drama are set to drop.
The Summer I Turned Pretty premiered on the streamer back in 2022 and is set to debut its third and final season on Wednesday, July 16.
Based on Jenny Han’s bestselling YA novels of the same name, the show follows teenager Belly Conklin (played by Lola Tung) as she navigates a love triangle between brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno).
Ahead of the new episodes, The Summer I Turned Pretty’s official Instagram account issued a warning to viewers.
“Cousins is our safe place. Everything good, everything magical. Let’s keep the conversation kind this summer,” they wrote in an Instagram story posted on Monday, July 14.
Those who break the rules will be banned (Image: Instagram )
The statement then clarified: “We have a ZERO tolerance policy for bullying and hate speech.” The community guidelines include no ‘hate speech or bullying,’ no ‘targeting cast or crew,’ and no ‘harassing or doxxing members of the community.’ Those who break any of these rules will be banned.
While the light-hearted series has received overwhelming praise from viewers, with some dubbing it the “best show ever,” it has also sparked heated debates among fans.
The book series already had a dedicated fanbase before Prime Video got its hands on the story. Therefore, readers were attached to the characters before the first season even dropped.
As such, fans have been known to share impassioned social media posts about which brother Belly should pursue.
In fact, lead actress Tung has previously addressed the sometimes “scary” responses from viewers.
The Summer I Turned Pretty returns tomorrow (Image: Amazon Content Services LLC)
Speaking to Teen Vogue earlier this month, she said: “I think we see with a lot of these love-triangle stories, people want the leading girl to end up with someone.
“When people have an attachment to the characters, they want to see it come together at the end. I’m so grateful that they care so much, but people get a little scary about it.”
She continued, voicing her own plea for viewers: “Please don’t threaten to kill someone if something doesn’t go your way — I promise you, it’s not that serious. Jenny [Han] is so smart and she cares so much about the story and making it the best story that it can be. It will be okay.”
Although readers already know that Belly eventually chooses Conrad in the novels, author Han has confirmed that the forthcoming series will not be a page-by-page adaptation of the final book, We’ll Always Have Summer. So some fans may be disappointed with how the teen drama ends.
The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 premieres on Prime Video this Wednesday July 16.
All five seasons of a hit US medical drama are now available to stream on the platform
A “hidden gem” medical drama that had fans “hooked” is now streaming on Prime Video.
Based on Eric Manheimer’s 2012 memoir, New Amsterdam follows the journey of Dr Max Goodwin (played by Ryan Eggold) as he takes on the role of medical director at one of America’s oldest public hospitals.
In his new position, Max is determined to overhaul the neglected institution, cutting through red tape to deliver outstanding care to patients.
The series, which debuted in 2018, also features Freema Agyeman, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims, Anupam Kher, Tyler Labine and Sandra Mae Frank.
After a successful four-year run on NBC, it was revealed in 2022 that the show would conclude with its fifth season, comprising 13 episodes, reports Surrey Live.
New Amsterdam has landed on Prime Video(Image: Ralph Bavaro/NBC via Getty Images)
New Amsterdam can already be streamed in its entirety on Netflix, Sky and NOW, but now all five seasons have been added to Prime Video as well.
If you’re new or haven’t held a Prime membership for a full year, you can get a 30-day free trial of the complete Prime service (not just Prime Video) directly from Amazon.
Pricing in the UK stands at £8.99 per month or £95 per year. To enjoy the premium ad-free service, you’ll need to shell out an additional £2.99 per month.
Throughout its original run, New Amsterdam garnered mixed reviews from critics, who felt the show didn’t push any boundaries.
However, its audience was much more enthusiastic, with many preferring the drama over its medical rival Grey’s Anatomy.
The show ran for five seasons(Image: Ralph Bavaro/NBC via Getty Images)
“I was impressed by the social commentary in the writing! Well acted. All the usual obvious stuff but a few hidden gems for the few who still want to enjoy a show about life,” one viewer penned on IMDb.
Another chimed in: “This show looks at the human side of medicine and that is refreshing. In my opinion, it’s better than Grey’s Anatomy.”
A third shared: “Finally a medical drama without the usual drama. It’s not about the endless romance between the doctors and nurses, it is really focused about the medical aspect of the hospital. The characters are very refreshing and particularly Ryan Eggold is so endearing in his first remarkable role.”
Echoing the sentiment, a fourth fan wrote: “One of the best medical dramas I’ve seen. It had me hooked from the first episode.”

Surfshark VPN lets Brits stream their favourite TV shows while travelling on holiday

This method lets Brits access major streaming platforms outside the UK just as they would at home
These days, many TV fans plan their lives around their favourite TV series, with the latest season premiere a major event in the diary. The biggest streamers like Netflix, Amazon’s Prime Video and Disney+ have already unveiled their stellar summer slates packed with new and returning shows.
June saw beloved series like Clarkson’s Farm, The Bear and Squid Game all back on screen, with more still to come including Dexter: Resurrection (Paramount+, July 11) and Alien: Earth (Disney+, August 13). But while everyone loves a summer holiday, jetting off to greener pastures often means having to wait to watch the latest episodes until one returns home.
This is because some content on streaming platforms like Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ can only be accessed in the UK. But there is a way to access them from abroad with a VPN, which means Brits don’t have to miss out on the latest TV series when they jet off this summer.
Please be aware streaming platforms may take the view that the use of a VPN to watch content from another territory may be a breach of its terms of service and may constitute copyright infringement. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure the use of a VPN is legal and The Mirror does not encourage any illegal use of a VPN.
How to watch your favourite TV series while travelling
Brits heading abroad this summer can use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to unblock websites and services that usually only work in the UK. This allows users to access streaming platforms including Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ from abroad as they would at home.
A VPN works by changing a device’s IP address – the unique identifier of a device connected to the internet – to any location around the world. There are many VPN providers on the market, with Surfshark a top choice that boasts the more than 3,200 Surfshark servers in 100 countries including the US, Australia, plus in Europe and Asia.
Surfshark has slashed up to 88% off its VPN plans, offering 27 months’ access for £1.49 per month.
Surfshark is compatible with devices running Windows, iOS, Android, macOS, Linux, and FireTV. The brand is currently offering its services for the discounted rate of £1.49 per month for its 24-month Surfshark Starter plan, which now comes with three extra months at the reduced rate.
This option costs a total of £40.23 over the 27-month term, a whopping 88% saving compared to the usual £331.83. With this, users get a secure VPN that lets them watch their favourite shows from outside the UK, with advert and cookie pop-up blockers, a constantly changing IP address and the ability to use Surfshark on unlimited devices simultaneously.
There’s also 24/7 customer support on live chat or email and a 30-day money back guarantee. However, Surfshark members on the Starter plan won’t receive antivirus protection, a feature included in the £1.89 Surfshark One plan.
This provides a range of security features, with 27 months of VPN, antivirus, alert, search, and alternative ID. It offers the same benefits as Surfshark Starter but with the added benefit of detecting and removing viruses and malware in real time, as well as preventing advertising companies and bots tracking online activity and sending alerts if an email address appears in breached online databases.
Surfshark has cut 88% off its VPN cost
Other VPN services include NordVPN, which rivals Surfshark with more than double the amount of servers. However, this comes at a cost as it’s also more expensive at £2.69 per month for the Basic plan.
ExpressVPN is another alternative and is said to be easier to use than other services but is also more expensive at £4.04 on its 24-month plan. The Daily Express compared Surfshark, NordVPN and ExpressVPN and found Surfshark to be ‘great value for money’.
It said: “Surfshark offers great value for money and that’s one of the big attractions. It’s actually owned by the people behind NordVPN, but this is their budget offering – not that the features are lacking.
“There are apps for a wide range of devices, but Surfshark doesn’t put a limit on the number of devices on the same contract, so you can sign-in across all your devices, making sure your whole family is protected.”
However, Chris also found a potential downside, adding: “Surfshark has fewer servers than some of its rivals and can sometimes be a little slower, but unless you’re moving huge amounts of data around, that’s unlikely to be a problem.”
Surfshark users have awarded the service an average 4.5-star rating on Trustpilot, with many impressed with its customer service. One said: “So nice to talk to a human when tech issues arise.”
Another said: “I’m really happy with how easy it is to use on the app and TV, and also for how reliable the service is.”
However, this mixed review said: “It has trouble connecting on my iPhone 12. Ok on iPad but seems to slow everything down.”
Fans and former contestants have shared their outcry after Australian Survivor presenter Jonathan LaPaglia confirmed he has been axed from the show
Australian Survivor host confirms brutal firing after 10 years(Image: NETWORK 10)
Australian Survivor fans are devastated as decade-long host Jonathan LaPaglia announced he will no longer be at the helm.
The iconic actor and Survivor presenter has led the Australian version of the hit reality competition series on Network 10 since 2016.
On Monday (30th June), LaPaglia, affectionately known as ‘JLP’ by contestants and fans, took to Instagram to confirm the sad news.
“Australian Survivor has seen some of the most epic blindsides over the last 10 years, but this one might just be the craziest of them all….because it happened to me,” he shared.
“I received a call from the Network thanking me for all my hard work and dedication to the show but for next season they are ‘going in a different direction’.
“Ratings had dipped a bit recently and they wanted to do something drastic to shake things up. So for the first time ever this is not a tribe swap, but a HOST SWAP®️ Yes, you read that right.”
Fans and former contestants have slammed the decision(Image: NETWORK 10)
He went on to thank the cast and crew, as well as the show’s loyal legion of fans, for all their support over the past 10 years, calling the hosting gig “one of the greatest adventures of my career”.
Thankfully, there’s still one more season with JLP as host for fans to look forward to, Australian Survivor: Australia V The World, coming up later this year on Network 10.
“Probably our best season EVER!” he claimed, before adding an emotional sign-off: “(Ps. Whoever said a blindside is the most humane way to put someone down is an idiot. It hurts like a b***!)”
His post received an outpouring of support from fans and several former Survivor contestants.
Matt Tarrant, who competed in JLP’s first-ever season, replied: “Mate, this is genuinely devastating.
“One of my favourite memories of the game is you pulling out the beers from the crew fridges for us Season 1 Cast at the finale because no one else cared about us at that point, absolute gem of a bloke – good luck for whatever is next JLP.”

And two-time competitor Flick Eddington wrote: “HUGE MISTAKE!!! It honestly won’t be the same without you!!! This news breaks my heart!”
She then cheekily suggested: “Maybe you can come back as a contestant and blindside everyone!”
Viewers have also slammed the decision on Reddit, where one user decried: “Ratings dipped a bit recently so they ditch the host? Aussie Survivor has its faults, but JLP wasn’t one of them.”
Someone else slammed the move: “Needless to say completely shocking news. Awful choice by production.”
“This is so damn stupid,” a third fan wrote. “Maybe if they wanted to save on costs they could make it shorter than 50 days lol.
“Worst decision they have ever made. Channel 10 has been going down for a while though.”
Survivor fans – will you continue watching once JLP officially steps down?
Australian Survivor is available on Network 10 and 10play and can be streamed on Prime Video in the UK.

Series we’re loving on Disney+
The weekend is here and for those keen to relax on the sofa with a bingeable series, there’s lots on offer. Disney+ is making headlines for the return of one of its most affordable deals, as prices drop to £1.99.
Shoppers will have to sign up for the subscription to get the £1.99 price, but there is no required contract and users can leave after each 30-day window. The deal is available to snap up by June 30, and it lasts for four months before rising to the previous £4.99 rate.
With a packed TV guide for the summer, including the live-action Snow White and Marvel’s Ironheart, there’s plenty to watch. As a team filled with series lovers, we’ve got a handful of recommendations from the new Welcome to Wrexham season, reality dramas The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, or decade classics like Grey’s Anatomy.
Disney+ has brought back its popular deal that lets new and returning customers join its Standard with Ads plan for £1.99 per month for four months.
This means members can stream hit shows like Andor, The Bear and Alien: Earth, plus countless titles from Star Wars and Marvel, for a fraction of the usual price.
Narin’s favourites – Daredevil: Born Again and Welcome to Wrexham
Daredevil: Born Again might be the best TV series I’ve watched this year so far. Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio reprise their roles as Daredevil and Kingpin as the two old adversaries clash once more, with both men trying to juggle their public personas and secret lives inextricably linked with New York’s crime-ridden underbelly.
The result is a show that takes the best of the already-brilliant Netflix run (including some fan favourite returns) and surprisingly makes it even darker and more brutal – what would Walt say?
As a proud comic book geek I freely confess that Marvel fatigue has been a thing for a while now, with much of their output proving a miss rather than a hit for me. Daredevil: Born Again (and actually also Thunderbolts which will be coming to the streaming giant in due course) are a pleasing and much-needed return to quality and definitely a must-see.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney from Welcome to Wrexham(Image: Alberto E. Rodriguez)
Welcome to Wrexham season four is streaming now on Disney+ and this £1.99 deal allows you to watch the thrilling climax of the celeb-led club’s season week by week. In the four short years since A-listers Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney bought Wrexham AFC for £2 million the club’s fortunes have transformed, taking it into a £150m+ force in football.
This show offers a great behind-the-scenes look at that ascendance, led by both men alongside a cast of supporting characters, including the team’s sweary yet brilliant manager Phil Parkinson and Executive Director Humphrey Ker.
Don’t let the football distract you, though – at its core, this is as much a show about the community and people who live around Wrexham as the on-pitch shenanigans and all the better for it. If you like your reality TV heartwarming rather than angsty then this is your next perfect binge watch.
Harriet’s favourite – The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives
If drama, gossip, affairs and the craze of social media is your thing then I’d highlighy recommend The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Season 2 of the reality series has recently hit Disney+ after a gripping first season – and I’ve never been more hooked on a series.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2 is out on Disney+(Image: Disney)
Yes, you have to enjoy shows like Keeping Up with Kardashians and The Real Housewives to love this. The series follows a group of MomTok influencers and their Mormon community as they navigate growing social presence and scandals.
Jake’s favourite – Andor Season 2
I’ve been a huge Star Wars fan since I was a little kid, but had almost given up on the franchise after some of its recent output left me with Jedi fatigue. That was until the new season of Andor pulled me well and truly back in.
After admittedly not being blown away by the first season, I was completely gripped by the eponymous rebel spy’s latest mission, so much so that I binged the whole thing in one weekend. It may not feature any lightsabers or Jedi, but what it does offer cements its position as one of the greatest Star Wars titles there is and without doubt, the best episodic instalment yet.
There simply aren’t enough superlatives to describe the series; it’s beautifully shot, each performance is Emmy-worthy and the high-stakes of Andor’s mission result in incredibly intense viewing – especially in the latter half of the series. Going back to watch Rogue One – which is set immediately after the Andor finale – completely changes the viewer’s perspective on the story, making a great film even better.
Jada’s favourite – Abbotts Elementary
Quinta Brunson has been on my radar since she first went viral for her ‘he got money’ videos when I was a teenager, with her enthusiastically telling anyone who would listen that her cinema date was rich since he bought a large popcorn. I’ve watched her through the Buzzfeed years and when I heard that her award-winning show was going to be available to stream on Disney+ I knew it was time to get a subscription.
Abbott Elementary is about a public school in Philadelphia where the odds aren’t really in anyone’s favour. It’s so consistently funny that I’d love to be a fly on the wall of their writer’s room. Quinta plays Janine Teagues, a perky second-grade teacher with so much enthusiasm to make a positive difference. The cast are all hilarious in their own right, Ava the principal (played by Janelle James), who bribed her way into a job has to be one of the standout characters and over the seasons she seems a little more vulnerable even if she remains obnoxiously tone deaf.
There’s romantic tension with Janine and Gregory, played by Everybody Hates Chris star Tyler James Williams, that had me routing for them the whole way through as they awkwardly navigate their feelings.
It’s easily the best mockumentary sitcom I’ve ever seen, my only gripe is the episodes are released later in the UK than the US – so I made sure to catch up to the season finale when I visited the states earlier this year.
Eve’s favourite is something Disney+ doesn’t offer
1883 is, without a doubt, one of the best TV series I have watched to date. I’m a bit of an all-rounder when it comes to the shows I watch.
I’m a sucker for Gilmore Girls and Ginny & Georgia (both on Netflix) as well as the hit, edge-of-your-seat, relatively brutal mob-family extravaganza Mobland (Amazon Prime), Ted Lesso (Apple TV), The Last of Us (NOW) and New Girl (Disney+). All of which bring very different things to the table. But when I was recommended 1883, aside from knowing the bare bones of its description, I had no idea what to expect.
Ginny and Georgia season 3 – Get Netflix free with Sky
Sky is giving away a free Netflix subscription with its new Sky Stream TV bundles, including the £15 Essential TV plan.
This lets members watch live and on-demand TV content without a satellite dish or aerial and includes hit shows like Ginny and Georgia.
A prequel to the highly regarded Yellowstone (a show still on my watch-list), 1883 is an American Western drama miniseries which follows the origin story of the Dutton family to the Yellowstone ranch. The show sees the five Dutton family members in post-Civil War America flee poverty in Texas and embark on a long, arduous journey through the Great Plains in the hope of a better future in Montana.
A description of the show on IMDB reads: “The post-Civil War generation of the Dutton family travels to Texas, and joins a wagon train undertaking the arduous journey west to Oregon, before settling in Montana to establish what would eventually become the Yellowstone Ranch.”
Exploring the use and roles ranchhands/cowboys as well as the history, challenges and conflicts faced by the Indiginous Americans during this period, it’s an action-packed, heart-wrenching story that had me hooked.
The 10-part series features some pretty big names in the world of film as country music such as Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Sam Elliott and even has cameos from Billy Bob Thornton and Tom Hanks. Its sequel, 1923, stars Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford – also an incredible watch on Paramount+
Phoebe’s favourite – Grey’s Anatomy
Grey’s Anatomy is my mum’s favourite TV show of all time. She has been a loyal viewer since the first series aired in the mid-2000s, so when it was announced that the American medical drama would be available on Disney+, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
I signed up and began binge-watching the gripping show right away. I can happily say Grey’s Anatomy has earned a place in my top TV shows of all-time. It’s full of heart and passion, and a bunch of characters I adore. The show’s creator Shonda Rhimes has me laughing out loud one minute and ugly crying the next. With there being 21 series and over 400 episodes waiting to be watched, it’s sure to keep households entertained for months.

Brits can get Disney+ for £1.99 per month
Disney+ is offering a subscription for £1.99 with the return of a hugely popular streaming deal. The streamer from the House of Mouse has just kicked off a ‘limited-time promotion’ that saves 60% compared to the usual price.
It allows both new and returning customers to subscribe to Disney+ Standard with Ads for £1.99 per month for four months. This would usually cost a total of £19.96 but is now up for grabs for £7.96 – a £12 discount.
However, the deal won’t be around for long and is due to expire on June 30. After the four-month promotional period, Disney+ Standard with Ads will automatically renew at the then-current monthly retail price until cancelled.
The deal makes Disney+ the most affordable major streamer compared to the cheapest subscription tiers of Netflix (£5.99), Amazon’s Prime Video (£5.99) and Apple TV+ (£8.99). It comes ahead of a packed summer slate of new and returning films and series, led by Disney blockbuster Snow White, streaming now.
Also on the way this summer are Marvel’s Ironheart (June 25), season four of The Bear (June 26) and new prequel series Alien: Earth (August 13). They’re set to join an ever-growing library featuring recent hits and critically acclaimed series, Andor, Welcome to Wrexham, Rivals, Only Murders in the Building and Shōgun.
The £1.99 deal also provides access to the Stolen Girl, Good American Family and season two of the beloved reality series, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. For those put off by the prospect of adverts interrupting their viewing, the Disney+ plan plays on average less than four minutes of ads per hour of TV, which is less than on terrestrial TV.
What’s more, adverts will only play before a film starts and not during. Aside from the deal, Disney+ also offers the equivalent of two months free to those paying for a year upfront on the Standard or Premium plan.
Opting for an annual plan provides 12 months access for the price of 10 and saves up to £25.98, as well as higher video quality up to 4K UHD and HDR and the ability to stream on four devices simultaneously. Of the many positive reviews left by Disney+ members on Trustpilot, one says: “Offering a fantastic and constantly updated collection.”
Rachel Zegler’s Snow White is streaming now on Disney+
Another says: “I love Disney+. I’m a Star Wars and Marvel fan but since the addition of Starz it boosted my love, there’s even more content for adults now that’s worth it all round.
However, the same user added: “Only reason it didn’t get five stars is Disney are not using their other brands in the subscription. If they did this could easily be the best subscription service ever but there is much more content locked behind their own service.”
However, another five-star review says: “Good servers, good services, this nostalgia when watching old cartoons from TV. The subscription is really cheap compared to other streaming services.”
