Popular star Kerry Katona has been appearing on ITV’s Good Morning Britain this week

Former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona made an announcement on air.

The popular TV personality has been appearing on ITV’s Good Morning Britain this week, alongside various stars. Kerry arrived in the studio to discuss various topical news stories with hosts Kate Garraway, Richard Madeley and Ranvir Singh.

Kerry returned to screens on Wednesday (August 12), where she was joined by Richard, Ranvir and Nigel Havers. The group reflected on several of the day’s biggest stories, including the solar eclipse, Taron Egerton’s estrangement from his dad, and Coleen Nolan’s new boyfriend.

At the end of the segment, Richard said: “Nice chatting with you, but we’ve got to move on. Thank you very much indeed.”

Kerry enthusiastically replied: “Thank you!” Richard then asked if they’d be back tomorrow, before Kerry confirmed: “No. This is my last day today,” as she hugged Nigel.

Fans will likely be devastated to learn that Kerry won’t be returning to the sofa, after many expressed their delight at seeing her on the programme.

A viewer previously wrote on Instagram: “Loved you both on GMB you [have] been a daily tonic.”

Another added: “Love watching you on GMB,” while a third said: “Oh I love you, you crack me up x your cheeky love and your love of life x b***** amazing.”

A fourth viewer echoed the sentiment, saying: “You were absolutely fantastic sweetheart. Just real and saying it like it is…… and, you looked beautiful, too!” Someone else commented: “Great to see you on this morning Kerry. Lovely outfit. You brighten the show up, you’re so funny and great personality. Love all your work babe keep shining.”

Ahead of her final GMB appearance, Kerry took to her Instagram Stories to thank the team for making her feel so welcome.

“Good morning everybody. It’s eclipse day and it’s also my last day this week on Good Morning Britain,” she began.

“I just want to say I’ve had a fabulous time. Half the time I don’t know what I’m talking about and I’m winging it, but it’s been great. And I hope that I’ve made lots of people smile and I’ve brought a little bit of joy and silliness to people’s lives via the TV.

“So, today’s my last day, it’s been amazing, I’ve really enjoyed it. A big shout out to everyone at Good Morning Britain. The make-up artists, hair stylists, the runners, the producers, everyone! You’ve all been great, I’ve really enjoyed it.

“And today, I’m on with our Nigel, and I can’t bloomin wait! It’s because I’ve missed him, he makes me chuckle. So, make sure you’re all tuning in to Good Morning Britain today, around about 9ish. And it’s an eclipse day, it’s going to be a very full on, full day. Have a wonderful and blessed day!”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am

The pair who met on Celebs Go Dating in early 2025 can be seen posing for a naked selfie in a bathroom mirror in his recent Instagram post.

Paolo held his iPhone as he snapped the racy photo with one arm around his stunning girlfriend.

Kerry posed and threw her arms around Paolo as he nuzzled into her neck.

In the caption of the post, Paolo penned: “Can we just take a minute to appreciate how lucky I am.

“I’ll shout it from the roof tops with pride, my woman is a certified BADDIE.”

Kerry commented on the photo dump, which included several other sweet photos, as well as the very racy one.

She penned: “Baby, you’ve made me cry.

“I truly love you and I too am eternally grateful for you.”

Kerry went on to say how Paolo is an amazing father and partner, gushing over how proud she is of him.

Last month, one year on from finding love on Celebs Go Dating, Kerry returned to the E4 show.

As Anna Williamson asked what the public support has been like for Kerry and Paolo since they got together, the mum-of-five admitted: “I found it really overwhelming.

“I think since I joined the agency people see me for who I really am rather than just reading a headline.

“People actually watched me fall in love, and the support I’ve had from people – it’s been so overwhelming – for people to be so invested in somebody who I’ve chosen to love.

“It’s been really overwhelming, I’m not sure how to deal with it.”

Wiping away tears with a tissue, Kerry continued after a pause: “Life is so good, it’s so unbelievable that it scares me.”

Kerry met Paolo whilst filming for the show last year, with the TV stint coming after she split from fiancé Ryan Mahoney.

She was with Personal Trainer Ryan for six years after meeting on a dating app.

Prior to this, Kerry was married three times, first to singer Brian McFadden, then to taxi driver Mark Croft, and then to the late George Kay.

She shares eldest daughters Molly and Lilly with Brian, middle two Heidi and Max with Mark, and youngest daughter DJ with George, who passed in 2019.

Paolo is also a dad to two daughters from his previous relationship.
