REALITY TV star Kim Kardashian takes wet-look fashion to a whole new level.

The 45-year-old went for a night-time dip in a haute-couture dress by the late Alexander McQueen.

But the gown, first modelled in 2003, appeared far from waterproof.

Seeing the photo on Instagram, sister Khloe said: “You are such a freak for being in that water at night. Are you well?”

Kim was in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to promote her Hulu drama All’s Fair.

Last month, The Sun revealed the reality star had brought out a Skims ‘Panties’ advent calendar which included 25 “luxury” pairs.

The lingerie advent calendar featured a cheeky image on the front, with the panties hidden behind 25 doors in the luxe packaging.

While many websites gave shoppers a sneak peek of what they can expect concealed inside, the Skims offering left it a complete surprise.

What we did know is there would be 25 styles across signature fabrics, including Fits Everybody, Cotton Jersey, Stretch Lace, and Ultra Fine Mesh.

The description on the Skims website read: “A limited-edition luxury: unwrap something special every day. 

“This premium advent calendar is filled with surprise panties to treat yourself all month long-because every day deserves a little SKIMS.”

The reality TV star, 45, finally took the California bar after seven years of studying but she was ultimately unsuccessful.

It was revealed earlier this month that she hadn’t passed but Kim has remained determined to try again in the hopes of qualifying as a practising lawyer.

Now, the All’s Fair actress has shared an intimate look at her two weeks leading up to the exam in which she shunned all other work commitments to focus on her studies.

The nine-minute social media vlog features an emotional scene in which a bare-faced Kim can be seen sobbing in bed after a long day of studying for her exam.

Heavily emotional, Kim spoke to the camera as she opened up about her law journey difficulties.

Kim said: “F***, I’m gonna film this because oh my god I am just so tired.

“It is like every time I feel like I am a step ahead, something happens to try and stop me from doing this.

“A part of me just wants to stop.

“I feel like my brain is going to explode and i still have so much more to go.”

Whilst Kim didn’t expand on what was stopping her from studying, she was clearly suffering with problems relating to her back during the two-week period the video was filmed.

She confirmed her back had “given out” and was causing her pain.

Kim wore a large back brace throughout most of the clips in the video in order to help with the pain.

She also revealed she had undergone an MRI scan which confirmed she was dealing with some issues relating to the discs in her back.

Despite her initial worries, she admitted she was feeling confident the day before the exam and was looking forward to taking on the challenge.

The news that Kim hadn’t passed the bar exam came at the same time as her hotly-anticipated legal drama, in which she plays a lawyer, Allura Grant, premiered across the world.

Kim leads the show alongside a cast of stars including Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, Naomi Watts and Nicey Nash.

The 45-year-old started her journey in 2018 and has frequently spoken about wanting to work in the legal profession like her father Robert Sr.

Confirming the news earlier this month, the billionaire said: “Well… I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV.

“Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up – just more studying and even more determination.”

It comes after her Disney+ drama All’s Fair, about a group of female lawyers, was critically panned and received a four percent rating on review-aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes.

However, The U.S. Sun revealed how this took a drastic turn late Tuesday night heading into Wednesday, when reviews labeling the show the “worst of all time” began going viral.

“The show had a disappointing opening in the first 24 hours. 

“It wasn’t getting as much attention leading up because the media review embargoes weren’t allowed to go up until after the show had already dropped,” the source explained. 

“So all the 0% reviews came out at once, after the episode was already out, and helped draw droves of attention to it. 

“The reaction to all the bad reviews was the best thing that could’ve happened to the show. It basically, right away, doubled overall episode engagement. 

“Including viewership but also the amount of online mentions and social media activity.”

The insider added that producers are taking the critique well, as they know the show is meant to be “campy and fun” and is “not meant to be serious.” 

“No one likes their work being dunked on, but the show welcomes the chatter because it’s driving interest and the viewership is benefiting exponentially,” they added. 

Kim stars on the legal drama as a divorce attorney at an all-female law firm.

In addition to The Kardashians star, the series also includes Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash, Sarah Paulson, and Glenn Close.

Essentially, Kris can make or break you — but if she likes you, you’re really winning.

It’s a truth that was etched proudly across Meghan Markle’s face as she smiled her way into Kris’s exclusive birthday bash.

Let’s remember, her family were once jokingly labelled “the Kartrashians”, known for flogging slimming teas on Instagram and attending the opening of an envelope.

But the joke’s now firmly on all their critics, since they turned themselves into the one of the most lucrative family brands the world has ever seen — one to rival a royal fold.

And it’s Kris who has masterminded the whole thing — a fact immortalised the day she was filmed cooing at Kim, “You’re doing amazing, sweetie!” while her daughter posed nude for a Playboy magazine shoot in 2007.

Back then, she had already launched the entire family on network TV with their own reality series, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, building on the infamy of Kim’s sex tape.

And though the family’s fame in the early days was easily mocked, they’ve since each cemented themselves as aspirational power players in their own right.

Kim and her sister Kylie Jenner are billionaire business moguls with their respective fashion and beauty lines SKIMS and Kylie Cosmetics, while Kendall Jenner is one of the biggest fashion models in the world.

As for Kourtney and Khloe, everything they touch also turns to gold.

Momager Kris still takes ten per cent of her family’s earnings and is well worth the levy, because having a steer and a nod from her is worth its weight in Hollywood opportunities.

Meghan’s long known this, but her efforts so far have mostly been met with muted interest.

Last year, she sent a batch of her home-made jam to Kris, and before that she and her own mum Doria Ragland previously rubbed shoulders with Kris and Kim at various charity dos.

But getting an invite to THE party of the year is the ultimate seal of approval for Meghan, and a sign that her and Harry’s luck might now be changing after all.

So far, they have been slammed by insiders for not following through on lucrative brand deals and mocked for constantly going back on grandiose pitches and promises.

In 2023, Spotify pulled the plug on their $20million audio deal after Meghan produced just 12 episodes of content for her podcast Archetypes, with one exec at the audio streamer labelling them “f***ing grifters”.

And even though Netflix has now produced two series of the universally mocked cookery and lifestyle series With Love, Meghan, it’s been reported that she and Harry are no longer the streaming giant’s golden couple.

Their $100million deal with the streamer has now been downgraded to a “first-look deal” with a reportedly massive pay cut.

In the past week, we revealed how Meghan is returning to acting with a role in the upcoming movie comedy Close Personal Friends.

Having shunned the showier side of showbiz post-royal life, it’s clear she now needs Hollywood’s endorsement more than ever — so getting through the door of Kris’s VIP-packed party is a pretty momentous achievement.

Devotedly loyal

Jeff Bezos’s role as host attests to Kris’ social standing. Not content with putting on their lavish three-day wedding in Venice which was attended by the Kardashian clan, the Amazon boss and his wife Lauren proved there’s nothing they wouldn’t do for their dear friend Kris.

So it only stands to reason that Jeff would be all-ears to any film or TV ideas Meghan might have for his Prime streaming service — provided she has Kris’s seal of approval.

Other heavyweights who donned their gladrags for Kris included Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Microsoft founder Bill Gates, who arrived carrying a perfectly wrapped, rectangular gift (prompting the internet to wonder just what a billionaire brings as a birthday present).

Bill has a lot to thank Kris for, as she recently invested in Phia, an AI shopping start-up co-launched by his daughter Phoebe.

Kris knows what The Godfather taught us long ago: Make sure people owe you enough to remain committed and devotedly loyal.

But the night wasn’t all about business deals, and it’s safe to say that every star who attended the function — many of them dressed in red — had a night to remember.

Maintaining the party’s James Bond theme, Kris brandished a tiny pistol — stressing the point that she’s the one who wields the power.

Dressed in a frilled, hot-red ballgown and dramatic black gloves, the mum-of-six proudly displayed her most expensive purchase — a new facelift, which reportedly cost between $150,000 and $230,000.

She unveiled the results earlier this year, saying, “This is ageing gracefully, my version.”

And she certainly looked delighted with herself on the night, as did her younger actor boyfriend, Corey Gamble, 45, who lovingly followed 70-year-old Kris around all night.

Among the other VIPs attending were Motown legend Stevie Wonder, Oscar nominee Naomi Watts, socialite Paris Hilton, rapper Snoop Dogg, singer Adele and fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger — while hitmaker Bruno Mars performed live.

The night was so eventful that police were called to the premises several times after neighbours complained about loud music.

Cameras were strictly forbidden, but the birthday girl did later post a carousel of photos on Instagram which showed red roses, sweeping scarlet drapery, flowing champagne, 007-themed lighters and poker chips.

It was all accounted for, and Kris was royally venerated like the modern-day monarch she has risen to be.

The rise itself is pretty spectacular, considering her modest beginnings.

Born in San Diego in 1955 to an aircraft manager dad and children’s clothing store owner mum, Kris briefly worked as an air hostess for American Airlines.

Her only “proper” job, she said it made her “see what hard work and great service looked like”.

While married to Hollywood lawyer Robert Kardashian, who represented OJ Simpson during his 1995 murder trial, she became the standard LA wife who knows all the right people and places, but still stands behind her more successful husband.

But after she divorced Robert and married Bruce Jenner, now Caitlyn, she became the former athlete’s manager and turned his faded Olympic career into lucrative brand deals.

Yet it wasn’t until she pitched her family to E! for reality TV glory that she really proved her mettle.

Coining the term momager, she has now leveraged a C-list family to Hollywood royalty.

The Kardashians now run some of the most exclusive rooms in the world — and for Meghan Markle, getting access to them is crucial.

There appeared to be a theme for the bash with everyone dressed in brown, black, and pink beach outfits for the fashionista.

Kendall joined the Tommy Hilfiger family by fronting the brand’s Spring Campaign last year.

His private property in Mustique is known as the Palm Beach Villa, and boasts seven en-suite bedrooms and two pool cottages with room for up to 18 guests.

A website claims the vacation home is situated on six acres on the beachfront land and costs between $125,000 and $130,000 per week to rent.

‘BEACH SEATING’

“The Colonial design of the property is simple yet imposing, and the white facade gives a very welcoming feeling to guests,” the bio reads.

“The grand Palladian-style residence was built in 1999 and has undergone renovation works since.”

Kendall and the gang made the most of the private beach with a seating area set up on the sand, as photographs on Instagram showed pillows and tiki torches.

The bio online also explains, “The villa offers impressive views over the sea and the neighbouring islands from its balconies and terrace.

“Guests can enjoy the views from the large swimming pool, or soak up the rays from the surrounding sun loungers.

“The poolside gazebos are ideal for evening drinks, and there are plenty of spaces to relax throughout the perfectly manicured gardens.”

Services at the villa include a manager, chef, waiter, housekeeping, and laundry, according to the website.

Although food and beverage cost extra, along with grocery pre-stocking, spa and beauty treatments, and activities and excursions on the island.

Dee Hilfiger, Tommy’s wife, gave Marie Claire a tour of the house in 2024, with photographs showing her relaxing in the luxurious setting.

Although she admitted it was all about simplicity and guests being able to relax at the home, not worrying that they might damage antiques or expensive furnishings.

“We have a lot of furniture with slick covers,” she explained.

“We constantly change out all the lampshades in the house because it’s right on the ocean, so things rust.

BIRTHDAY TRIBUTES

“We don’t have anything too precious. It’s a family home and we also rent it a lot.

“I would describe it as a chic but user-friendly type of home where nothing’s too precious or expensive. It’s designed to walk through with sandy feet.”

The outlet explained that the villa sits on the shores of Mustique’s L’Ansecoy Bay and is named Palm Beach for the trees that surround it. 

Kim, 45, shared snaps from the getaway, writing, “Happy 30th Birthday @kendalljenner may this decade bring you the kind of love and joy you so freely give to everyone else. I love you more than you’ll ever understand! Here’s to 30 Kenny.”

Kim could also be seen joking around with a handful of tequila shots in one photograph as she threw her head back laughing.

Sister Khloe, 41, also wrote a lengthy tribute to Kendall, posting, “To my baby sister, my forever girl, happy 30th birthday. I can’t believe you’re thirty. It feels impossible and yet, here you are; more radiant, grounded, and beautifully you than ever before.
