Who plays Holly Wheeler in Stranger Things season 5?

Stranger Things season 5 introduced a brand-new cast member in the form of Mike Wheeler’s little sister

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Stranger Things season 5, Volume 1

Stranger Things season five, volume one has now arrived on Netflix after a final trailer and features some huge twists and turns with Hawkins now under military lockdown following the events of the series four finale.

The gang and Eleven (played by Millie Bobby Brown) continued to try and find Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) as he hid in the Upside Down, with things heating up in the final season of Stranger Things.

While Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) and his friends were busy searching for the villainous creature, he failed to notice his sister Holly Wheeler (Nell Fisher) was seemingly having visions and speaking to someone.

Instead of questioning whether she, too, had special abilities like Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), both Mike and his family put it all down to an imaginary friend rather than considering it could be Vecna.

Unsurprisingly, this resulted in Holly getting kidnapped by a demogorgon and taken to the Upside Down.

Many Stranger Things fans are now curious to know more about the actress behind the new Holly, after the younger version of the character was played by identical twins Anniston and Tinsley Price in previous seasons.

Who plays Holly Wheeler in Stranger Things season 5?

British child star Nell Fisher plays the new Holly in Stranger Things season five.

Hailing from London, the 13-year-old has previously starred in Bookworm, Evil Dead Rise, Northspur, TV show My Life Is Murder and Choose Love.

According to IMDb, she is rumoured to next be starring in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Live Action TV series, which is in pre-production.

How old is Holly Wheeler in Stranger Things season 5?

Actress Fisher is 13-years-old, but her character Holly was born in 1980, according to the Stranger Things fandom page, and so would be around seven-years-old in season five.

Holly would have been around three-years-old in season one, which is set in 1983.

At one point, Karen Wheeler (Cara Buono) remarks how Holly “isn’t five anymore” alluding to her daughter getting older.

Why was Holly Wheeler recast in Stranger Things?

The reason for the recasting was because the producers wanted an older and more experienced actress to take on the role of Holly, who has a big role to play in season five.

As revealed in season five, volume one, Holly’s part in the story is pretty important, with Matt Duffer telling SFX in a recent interview: “Once you see the full season, you’ll have a better understanding of why it was so important to add her to the cast.

“One of the reasons was, we just wanted to recapture some of the feeling of season one, and some of that you can’t recapture unless you have kids, because our kids are not kids anymore. They’re not close to being kids anymore.”

Adding: “So it was really fun to add Holly and her classmates into the show, because it allowed us to recapture some of that feeling.”

Stranger Things season 5, volume 2 is released on Netflix UK and Ireland on Boxing Day (December 26) at 1am

Holly Valance SPLITS from £1bn property tycoon Nick Candy after 13 years

NEW FLAME

Billionaire Nick Candy spotted kissing younger lookalike of ex Holly Valance

Ex-Neighbours actress Holly was pictured on a night out for the first time since The Sun revealed in June the wealthy couple had filed for divorce.

Property tycoon and Reform UK treasurer Nick, 52, was later spotted smooching Swedish socialite Camilla Ferrero, 33, at an airport as they went public with their romance.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Nick has blindsided Holly and left her and his inner circle stunned about the romance.

“Nick didn’t tell anyone he had met someone else and then started heading off on trips abroad.

“So his close friends started suspecting he was seeing someone else.

“He perhaps kept it under wraps to protect both Camilla and Holly.

“But there is now a slight feeling of surprise that he’s met someone else so soon — and particularly someone who’s a dead ringer for Holly.

“It will be pretty tough for her seeing him with Camilla.

“Camilla is from Sweden but now based in the UK and she and Nick are spending all their time together.”

It is understood Nick and Holly signed a pre-nuptial agreement before they tied the knot in 2012 in a lavish £3million wedding.

Another source told The Sun: “Holly is incredibly upset.

“Her main concern is, and always will be, for their two daughters.

She also revealed Darci was a beloved aunt to her young son Alpha-Jax, writing as she announced the news at the time: “She was the best aunty, Alpha-Jax adored her.

“She spent his whole birthday on the bouncy castle with AJ and Alba, and that’s a memory I’ll cherish forever.”

Holly, 33, has now told fans she will welcome another baby into the world next year.

The star also revealed in an emotional post on Instagram that she got to share her news with Darci before the 19-year-old’s sudden death.

Holly posted a video that included screenshots of a conversation they had over WhatsApp.

They were the siblings “last messages to each other” and Holly said: “I will cherish these forever.”

After learning she was to become an aunt again, Darci wrote to Holly: “I’m so happy for you, that made me want to cry.

“I did not expect that at all … you’re the best mummy to (AJ) already.

“They are both going to be so lucky. Love you.”

Adam said his wife-to-be Holly, 25, and his sister Bethany had both been “targeted” and “hurt” by the drama, which now involves police.

It reads: “Over the past few days, a lot has been reported and comments posted about the private life of Holly and myself.

“My sister Bethany, has also been targeted. This has been almost entirely one-sided and, in many cases, excessive and intrusive. It has been deeply hurtful and upsetting to read, especially given the false basis upon which we have been targeted.

“What makes it worse is that it has been encouraged by members of my family.”

The champion swimmer assured fans there were two sides to the story and insisted he only has good intentions.

It follows claims that he has changed since meeting Holly and becoming part of the Ramsay clan, distancing himself from his working class roots.

He continued: “Bethany, Holly and myself cannot go into detail given an ongoing police investigation into serious matters that arose long before recent events.

“For those who know me personally, you know that I work so hard on trying to improve myself as a person who wants to contribute to making the world a better place. I am continuing to learn about myself and how I can be the man I want to be; a worthy partner, father, businessman, friend and athlete; even through these challenging times.

“Bethany, Holly and I will get through this – we do not ask for sympathy. We just need people to be aware that there are always two sides to every story. To those of you who have reached out and shown kindness and understanding – thank you. It is deeply appreciated.”

Adam’s aunt Louise previously branded his fiancée Holly “divisive and hurtful” in a bitter online rant after her sister Caroline wasn’t invited to her hen do at Soho Farmhouse. Caroline was later banned from the couple’s wedding at Bath Abbey next month.

Bethany attended the hen party, as did Holly’s mum Tana Ramsay and close friend Victoria Beckham.

Taking to Instagram, Caroline praised her sister by sharing a quote which read: “The moment you realise: the little sister who once drove you crazy is now the one who keeps you sane.

“Your loudest supporter and forever best friend.”

It continued: “She eventually becomes the comfort zone which every elder sister secretly needed all along.”

Caroline added: “Louise I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being my protector through this difficult time x.

“To the people who are being so cruel to my sister, please stop. Sadly you obviously don’t understand the bond of sisters.

Worried Holly called the police last weekend while Adam was on his stag do in Budapest over concerns he could be assaulted by his brother James when he got back to the UK.

Adam was escorted by five police officers through passport control upon touching down in the UK. His brother was later arrested at his Staffordshire home.

A source close to Adam and Holly said: “This feud is heartbreaking from both sides.

“But the reality is that Adam sees his mum Caroline to be enabling his brother’s actions rather than pushing him to deal with his demons.

“Poor Caroline must feel utterly torn and it’s just very hard for everyone.

“Gordon has been incredibly supportive of Holly and Adam; after all, he’s been through similar issues with his own brother.”

Adam’s father Mark previously told The Sun that the feud had spiralled out of control.

He said: “They’re brothers.

“They’ve always been close but like any normal family, brothers fight, argue, fall out, make-up and start all over again. But it’s got out of hand.

“There’s been very little empathy towards Jamie’s genuine mental health difficulties.”

While Caroline, who supported Adam’s swimming career from a young boy to record breaker, has claimed she wants to repair the rift.

She told the Daily Mail: “I know it’s the end. But please, the message I want Adam to hear is no matter what happens in the future, please know I love you, your dad loves you, you can come home and talk to me at any point.

“There’s nothing you’ve done that I would not forgive. I love you so much.

However, his relatives have now been uninvited from the couple’s nuptials, with the only member coming from Adam’s family being his sister.

And with mega-rich wedding guests like The Beckhams, Adam and Holly are bound to get everything they asked for.

FAMILY FEUD

But as excitement builds up to the couple’s big day at Bath Abbey in just over a month, Adam’s family feud is still rumbling on.

After it was revealed that the former Strictly star had uninvited his mum and his family to his wedding, the Olympic star’s aunt said Holly was “divisive and hurtful” in an online rant.

In response to this, his mum Caroline threw support behind her sister after she slammed her swimmer son’s wife-to-be.

Taking to Instagram, Caroline shared a quote which read, “The moment you realise: the little sister who once drove you crazy is now the one who keeps you sane.

“Your loudest supporter and forever best friend.”

It came hours after Adam’s mum Caroline admitted she still wants to attend the ceremony despite being banned from Bath Abbey on December 27.

She told the Daily Mail: “If he changed his mind, I would go.

“I want to go to Bath, to go into the abbey, to watch him get married.

“I love him, he’s still my little boy.”

Caroline risked deepening the rift between the two families by accusing the Ramsays of “pulling him away from me”, adding: “He’s in Gordon’s clutches.”

The Sun revealed how the escalating feud saw Adam, 30, given a police escort over fears he could be assaulted when he returned from his stag do in Budapest.

We told how his builder brother James, 34, was arrested on Tuesday and quizzed for two days on suspicion of harassment before being bailed.

Caroline, 59, admitted the bitter rift has left her “broken” but told her Olympic gold medallist son Adam: “I hope your marriage is a good one.

Adam Peaty’s aunt hits out at ‘divisive and hurtful’ Holly Ramsay in furious Instagram rant saying ‘I expected better’

ADAM Peaty’s aunt has hit out at his wife-to-be Holly Ramsay in a furious Instagram rant.

The social media outburst came after Adam’s mum, Caroline, was banned from Holly’s hen do and the couple’s upcoming wedding at Bath Abbey – despite her once close relationship with her son and nurturing his record-breaking swimming career.

While Caroline was absent from Holly’s celebrations at Soho Farmhouse, Oxfordshire at the weekend, the bride’s mum Tana and close family friend Victoria Beckham were in attendance, while father-of-the-bride Gordon Ramsay was invited to Adam’s stag do.

Louise Williams wrote on Instagram: “@hollyramsayy I’m so glad that you had a great hen do. As a bride, you deserve that. However, as a person you were divisive and hurtful towards a woman, who I have loved and continue to love deeply.

“A woman who opened her home and heart to you. You decided, for whatever reason, not to invite her, your prospective mother-in-law to your hen night yet Adam invited his father-in-law, your dad, to his stag night.”

She continued: “You invited your mum (quite rightly) and even your mum’s assistant, your sisters, your friends, my niece, but not my sister, your future mother-in-law.

“I have also seen messages passing between her and Adam about this and other matters and, quite frankly, I expected better of you and definitely of Adam. You have inflicted a hurt on my sister that will take a very long time to heal if ever.”

According to the Mail, the post is said to have deeply upset Holly, 25, and infuriated Adam, 30, who now wants to cut ties with his family.

Caroline, 59, made her feelings known by sharing an Instagram post that read: “Crying is a way your eyes speak when your mouth can’t explain how broken your heart is.”

While the hen was in full swing, Caroline was at home in Staffordshire looking after Adam’s son George, five.

An insider said: “Caroline is devastated by the rift and doesn’t know what she has done wrong.”

Another insider told the Mail that Adam’s relationship with his working class parents began to change after he became part of the Ramsay fold and more enamored with the celebrity lifestyle.

Guests at the couple’s wedding in Bath next month are expected to include Holly’s chef dad Gordon, as well as recently knighted Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham.

Adam’s sister Bethany, who was also at Holly’s hen party, is said to be the only member of his family attending the wedding.

A family pal told The Sun: “Adam’s relationship with Caroline and his dad Mark are at an all-time low — it’s heartbreaking.

“It’s at a point now where Caroline has been told she should not come to the wedding.

“There is a feud rumbling on and it’s been absolutely devastating for everyone involved.”

In a shock twist, a source close to Adam and Holly said there were “jealous people desperate to ruin their happy day”.

They added: “There are wider problems in the Peaty family, with horrible threats of violence against both Holly and Adam from one individual. It’s gone too far and with real concern for the couple’s safety the police are now involved.”

Holly Aitchison – I want to inspire like Finn Russell in women’s game

Arriving at Sale Sharks as part of a high-profile revamp, Holly Aitchison has made one big move this summer.

She is adamant she won’t be making a second.

“[England head coach] John Mitchell has made it pretty clear to me that I can cover different positions, but I am a 10,” she told BBC Sport.

“And I won’t be seen as anything else.”

A year ago, the question wouldn’t have been asked.

At WXV in Canada, Aitchison was the Red Roses’ starting fly-half, steering them to title-clinching victories over New Zealand and Canada.

Her playmaking and running abilities were a key part of diversifying England’s threat, ensuring that, come the Rugby World Cup in England, they would have more cutting edges than a bandsaw.

It didn’t turn out like that.

Zoe Harrison edged in front as first-choice 10, with Aitchison shifted into the centres or on to the bench.

An ankle injury in the run-up to the Rugby World Cup meant Aitchison struggled to challenge for her spot, only appearing in the knock-out stages and then being deployed as a midfield replacement in the semi-final and final victories over France and Canada respectively.

But the 28-year-old is resolute in sticking to her position and her philosophy.

“I want to dictate,” she said.

“Obviously I got that ankle injury before the World Cup, but we were definitely moving in the more expansive direction.

“That’s something that I champion, that’s what I bring as a 10.

“I want to inspire the backline, I want to play this brand of rugby that attracts viewers.

“In the men’s game, I think of players like Finn Russell – you buy a ticket to watch him.

“I want that kind of hype around players in the women’s game where we’re creating that style of brand that people want to watch.”

At Sale, she hopes she has found the stage to do that.

The team finished last in PWR last season, but they have invested and improved.

Aitchison’s England team-mate Amy Cokayne and Scotland wing Rhona Lloyd were also signed over the summer while England’s Morweena Talling and the United States’ all-action lock Erica Jarrell-Searcy are part of an exciting back five in the pack.

Sale co-owner Michelle Orange had earmarked this season, after the Rugby World Cup, as a chance to lure some of England’s players back to the north and strengthen a struggling team.

Aitchison, born and raised on Merseyside, was a top target.

“Holly was on my hit-list, not just as a poster girl for the Red Roses, but for the North West and women’s rugby in general,” Orange tells BBC Sport.

“She is a perfect fit coming in. We are so lucky to have Katy Daley-Mclean – one of England’s best ever fly-halves – heading up our women’s programme and Holly follows in her mould.

“I love Holly’s style, her sass, the way she puts herself out on social media and identifies with her fanbase, this is exactly who we want in our team to bring some extra X-factor and complement the girls we have already got.”

Holly Willoughby ‘will take over’ as BBC Strictly Come Dancing presenter

Holly Willoughby is poised for a dramatic return to our TV screens, following her departure from This Morning in October 2023, as she’s set to host Strictly Come Dancing

Holly Willoughby “will take over” as Strictly Come Dancing presenter, according to top media source.

The host is set for a dramatic return to our TV screens, more than two years after quitting This Morning on ITV when she became the victim of a murder plot. Gavin Plumb, the creep behind the conspiracy, was jailed for life in July and now it is thought Holly, 44, is ready to come back to broadcasting.

Peter Fincham, who was director of the BBC for two years until 2007, understands Holly will replace either Claudia Winkleman or Tess Daly, who are leaving Strictly after more than two decades associated with the programme.

Mr Fincham, who since managed ITV between 2008 and 2016, said: “My hairdresser also cuts the hair of a well-known channel controller. What’s said in Harry’s the hairdresser stays in Harry’s. But he says with great confidence that Holly Willoughby will take over.”

READ MORE: Celebrity Traitors star Alan Carr tipped to become new host of Strictly Come DancingREAD MORE: BBC One Show viewers issued warning as hosts admit they had ‘really good cry’

The insider spoke to Richard Eden, a journalist with the Daily Mail, who wrote Holly is likely to present Strictly from the start of the next series in 2026. Tess and Claudia will depart at the end of the current series, from which actress and model Ellie Goldstein was eliminated on Saturday.

Holly was on This Morning for 14 years until her exit, which came after her long-time co-presenter Phillip Schofield resigned. Phillip, 63, had admitted that, before leaving his wife, he had carried on an extramarital affair with a young male co-worker and had lied about it to ITV’s management, his colleagues, lawyers, agents and friends and family.

The experienced presenter was dropped by his talent agency YMU after the affair, which was not illegal, and he also stepped down from ITV completely – meaning he did not host the British Soap Awards in the following days.

Holly’s return, said to be backed with “great confidence” by the “well-known channel controller”, would come off the back of this scrutiny – albeit more than two years down the line. The bombshell claims come after sources linked comedian Alan Carr, 49, to one of the two vacant Strictly posts.

The presenter is currently impressing millions with his playful charisma on The Celebrity Traitors, on which he has reached the final five. A source had said: “He’s an old-fashioned showbiz pro who would be just perfect hosting Strictly. If he does manage to win Traitors it will be a sign to the BBC that he has the star quality to present its flagship show.”
