Gogglebox’s Izzi brutally mocked by sister Ellie after boyfriend’s sweet gesture

Gogglebox’s Izzi Warner received a sweet gift from her beau Toby Joyce during the latest instalment of the Channel 4 show but her co-star sister Ellie Warner was far from impressed

Gogglebox’s Ellie Warner was not impressed after her sister Izzi Warner received a sweet gift from her beau.

The siblings first joined the Channel 4 show back in 2015 and it didn’t take them long to become firm favourites with the programme’s loyal legion of viewers.

Over the years, Ellie and Izzi, who live in Leeds, have had fans in stitches thanks to their hilarious one-liners and comical takes on the latest telly highlights.

Away from the long-running TV show, Izzi is loved-up with boyfriend Toby Joyce. She also shares children – son Bobby and daughter Bessie Rose – with her ex long-term boyfriend Grant.

And on Friday (March 6) Izzi was back on screens with Ellie for a new Gogglebox episode. During the instalment, Izzi was left delighted after receiving a present from Tony – but Ellie was not too impressed.

“Toby’s texted me, he’s said he’s left me a present on the stairs. Let me go see what it is,” Izzi said, before going to retrieve her gift. Walking back in the room with a gorgeous bunch of flowers she said: “Awww.”

However, Ellie quipped: “He’s such a wet wipe!” Sticking up for him Izzi said back: “He’s not!” Ellie added: “Ooo they smell nice, what has he done?” Izzi said: “Nothing!”

She then accidentally knocked over a glass of juice onto her carpet and declared: “For frigs sake.” A smug Ellie replied: “That’s what you get for floating with your flowers.”

Fans were stunned in 2024 when Izzi announced the end of her decade-long relationship with Grant before introducing her followers to new man, Toby, sharing glimpses of their blossoming romance through social media posts.

In December, she gave fans a look into their relationship by posting sweet snaps from a festive family outing to the Christmas markets.

One image shows Izzi beaming as she cuddles up to partner Toby, captioning the post: “Bessie’s Nativity followed by a Christmas market adventure with my favourites.”

And in August, Izzi shared a proud update as she posted a photo of her and Toby at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

She captioned the post: “A sunny day in Sandhurst for the Sovereigns Parade.” She added: “Congratulations to @tobyj1 for completing two years working as an instructor at Sandhurst. Very proud of you for all your hard work and sacrifices.”

Gogglebox fans forced to ‘cover their ears’ over gruesome scene as cast left screaming

Gogglebox aired a gruesome moment on Friday’s episode as they aired scenes from Alice Roberts: Our Hospital Through Time

The Gogglebox cast were left screaming on Friday’s episode after watching a squeamish moment during Alice Roberts: Our Hospital Through Time.

During the latest instalment, the cast members caught up with the latest television shows, which included Alice Roberts: Our Hospital Through Time.

The Channel 5 show sees Professor Alice Roberts explore 900 years of St Bartholomew’s Hospital – Britain’s oldest on its original site. From medieval miracle cures to modern cardiac and cancer care, Professor Roberts explores all that is on offer.

During the latest episode on Wednesday night, Professor Roberts recreated a grisly 17th-century operation on a ‘patient’ suffering from an enormous bladder stone. The scenes were aired on Friday’s Gogglebox with the cast members reacting to the squeamish moment.

After showing real bladder stones from over the years, which left the Gogglebox cast floored over the size, Professor Roberts then got stuck into a 17th-century operation on a dummy model to extract a bladder stone.

It was explained on the show that bladder stones can grow if patients don’t drink enough water to which Gogglebox’s panicked Lee Riley told Jenny Newby: “I don’t drink enough water, you know!”

The show then explained that back in the 17th-century it was “too dangerous” to operate from the top as it was too near the bowels so instead they would operate from underneath, going through the “root of the penis and prostate” with no anaesthetic. Professor Roberts then conducted this precise operation on a dummy model.

Responding to the scenes, Gogglebox’s Giles Wood exclaimed: “I think I’d rather call it a day, wouldn’t you?” before covering his eyes, adding: “Has it finished yet Mary?”

Meanwhile, Lee also had to look away exclaiming: “Can you imagine?” to which Jenny quipped: “I’m glad you’re suffering for a change!”

Viewers were also left squeamish over the scenes as they took to Twitter, now X, to share their thoughts. One person said: “I have no words ! #Gogglebox” while a different account added: “I’m having to cover my ears for this bit ! #Gogglebox.”

A different viewer joked: “If that wasn’t a great advert for drinking more water, I don’t know what is. #GoggleBox#Stones” while another wrote: “From now on I’m going to be drinking gallons of water daily. #Gogglebox!”

Gogglebox continues on Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4.

Gogglebox’s Ellie shares rare relationship update ‘Is he after baby number two?’

Gogglebox was back this week with plenty of memorable TV moments and a sweet relationship update from Ellie Warner.

Gogglebox was back tonight (February 20) on Channel 4 in the wake of what sounded like a romantic Valentine’s Day for one star.

During the show, fans may have missed a sweet relationship insight from show favourite Ellie Warner, who shares a two-year-old son with her partner Nat Eddleston.

As the song Love Is In The Air by John Paul Young and Milk & Sugar, the Gogglebox cast recalled that the romantic holiday was on the horizon.

Reflecting on her upcoming Valentine’s Day celebrations last weekend, Ellie admitted: “I don’t know what has got into Nat lately.

“Bought all my perfume for Valentine’s Day, wants to take me out for a meal, said I deserve a treat…

“What’s he after? Baby number two?” she teased, as her sister Izzie Warner shot back: “You wish.”

After that, the case watched a This Morning segment on what to cook for Valentine’s Night, with TV chef John Torode stepping in to demonstrate how to cook a steak and chips.

Tonight’s episode of Gogglebox features plenty of big TV moments from the past week, including the finale of The Masked Singer on ITV.

The final episode saw all of the Gogglebox cast trying to guess the identity of the mysterious Moth, who won over the audience with her sensational vocals.

Some guessed she was a “member of a UK girl band” while Sophie even narrowed it down to a member of The Sugababes, and in the end it turned out to be Sugababes legend Keisha Buchanan.

Elsewhere in the episode, A Place in the Sun star Jasmine Harman spoke to an expert about the best way to eat at an all-inclusive holiday buffet, earning a decidedly mixed reaction for the niche topic.

There was also a fun news segment on Number 10 Downing Street’s famous resident, Larry the cat, and a look inside the high-octane new Prime Video drama, Steal.

Gogglebox airs Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4.

Gogglebox star reveals why he’s not on the show as he posts from hospital

A Gogglebox family has been missing a family member on their sofa in the latest series and he has now shared the reason for his absence in a hospital selfie

A Gogglebox star has revealed why he hasn’t been in front of the camera lately. Raza Siddiqui is a fan favourite on the hit Channel 4 series, but had to take time away from filming.

He had been a regular on the show since it first started in 2013. He often appeared alongside his family as they offered their thoughts on the latest shows. But he was nowhere to be seen in the latest series, leaving fans questioning where he was, while dad Sid and brothers Umar and Bassit continue to entertain.

Now, Raza has posted an update from his hospital bed. Sharing the snap on the Siddiqui family’s Instagram page, the upload showed a series of pictures of him in hospital. In some images, he was hooked up to breathing machines.

And to explain his absence from the show, the post read: “For you eagle eyed Goggleboxers, you may have noticed that Raza (@razathefaint) hasn’t joined us on the sofa so far this season. Sadly he had a bit of a fall, a few weeks back and cracked some ribs.”

The post said they fully expect him to return in a few weeks as he is recovering well. It went on: “He’s absolutely smashing his recovery, staying positive and keeping himself entertained with walks, telly, reading and nephew cuddles with Theodore.

I know you guys reaching out and sending your well wishes will put a bigger smile on his face than morphine ever could. Can’t wait for all four Siddiquis to be back on team @c4gogglebox with the rest of the fab families.”

The post was met with an influx of positivity and messages of well wishes. One user wrote: “Bless you get well soon, we look forward to having you back on our screens when you are well enough.”

Another wished him a “speedy recovery”. And a third said: “Oh no! Get well soon!”

The Siddiquis weren’t the only family to be missing a member in the latest series. Fans quickly spotted siblings Tremaine and Tristan Plummer weren’t joined by their brother Twaine. The trio had joined the programme in 2016, but Twaine was a recent absentee from the show.

On Instagram before the episode aired, Tremaine and Tristan confirmed: “It’s just the two T’s today as Twaine left us to go on holiday. So we’ve got a new member of the team now,” before picking up their adorable dog.

Twaine let his feelings be known as he responded to the post, saying: “Wish I was there.” He was quickly supported by his fans, who went on to wish him a happy birthday.

Gogglebox star gutted and reveals reason for show absence as fans rally round

Gogglebox returned for another instalment but one cast member was nowhere to be seen

A beloved Gogglebox star was nowhere to be seen during the latest instalment and their family quickly explained why.

The long-running Channel 4 show returned to screens on Friday evening (February 13) for another episode. Back sharing their thoughts on the latest bits of telly were favourites like Pete and Sophie Sandiford and Ellie and Izzi Warner.

The Plummer brothers, Tremaine, Twaine, and Tristan, – who joined the programme in 2016 – returned too. But instead of the three of them, it was just Tremaine and Tristan sitting on the sofa.

On Instagram before the episode aired, the brothers explained why Twaine was missing. In the clip, they said: “It’s just the two T’s today as Twaine left us to go on holiday. So we’ve got a new member of the team now,” before picking up their adorable dog.

The post was captioned: “Meet the new member of the team… @trissy101 @trem_vi Brand new #Gogglebox tonight at 9pm on @channel4.”

Fans quickly flooded the comments section with support, and even Twaine replied and said: “Wish I was there,” along with sad face emojis. Someone else wrote: “Enjoy the holiday you are missed tonight.”

Another fan commented: “Happy Friday looking forward to watching you tonight. Hope he’s gone somewhere that’s sunny and dry.” A third follower declared: “He’s another good-looking Plummer I’m glad you’re back with us we don’t see enough of you guys.”

The Plummer brothers made their Gogglebox debut 10 years ago – and it didn’t take them long to become firm favourites with viewers.

Over the years, the brothers – who live in Bristol – have had fans in stitches thanks to their witty banter and one-liners and comical takes on the telly highlights.

Away from the TV show though, Tremaine – who is the eldest of the three siblings – presents a breakfast radio show on Bristol’s Ujima FM. Tristan has enjoyed a professional footballing career from 2007 too as well as other brother Twaine.

Gogglebox pays emotional tribute on Channel 4 show after heartbreaking death

The show remembered a late producer as it returned on Friday (February 6)

Gogglebox paid tribute to a TV producer who died after battling a brain tumour as it returned for a new series.

The Channel 4 favourite was back on screen with its 27th series on Friday night (February 6).

As it ended, a picture of Jonathan Clough was displayed on screen, along with the words: “In memory of Jonathan Clough” and the dates 1989 to 2025.

The producer had been diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma in 2024, at the age of 35.

A fundraising campaign had been established to support Jonathan, whose TV also credits included Strictly Come Dancing and The Apprentice, in accessing specialist treatment. Actor Sam Swainsbury established the GoFundMe campaign following an appeal launched by the family.

The producer and his partner, Tracy Martin, both had to leave their careers and relocate with their two young children from London to Wigan to stay with her parents following his diagnosis.

Writing on the GoFundMe page, Tracy explained how their lives had changed after Jonathan suddenly collapsed due to a seizure in March 2024.

She wrote: “Two months after that, the results of an MRI brought our world crashing down. Our brilliant Jonathan, at only 35 years old, was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma — an extremely aggressive and incurable brain cancer.”

Jonathan underwent surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, but subsequent scans disclosed a regrowth that doctors deemed inoperable.

In January, Sam posted a message on Instagram saying that Jonathan had died on Boxing Day.

“He saw his daughter’s first day at school,” he said. “He then made it to her first play. He then made it to Christmas. He then sadly passed on Boxing Day. He fought for every last second. He exceeded all expectations. He was extraordinary.”

“I don’t have many more words than that,” he said. “I still can’t believe it.”

Former Strictly pro Kevin Clifton was among those to pay tribute to Jonathan, who was a producer on the BBC ballroom show from 2017 to 2019.

Sharing photos of Jonathan on social media, he wrote: “An amazing friend, an amazing man, an amazing father and a heck of a fighter for his amazing family. I will miss you forever [heartbroken emoji].”
