Romeo Beckham to make acting debut in gay tennis movie

ROMEO Beckham has made his acting debut in a gay tennis movie – as he flirted with his co-star in a first look of the film.

This comes days after Romeo and girlfriend Kim Turnbull enjoyed a pricey Harrods picnic after he was pulled over in £100k Porsche.

The movie, Forty Love, centres around Sacha Gallo, a tennis superstar who’s been training with his father to win a major trophy in Paris.

But the arrival of a charismatic new rival — played by Romeo — challenges everything Sacha thought he understood about competition, ambition and himself.

The synopsis reads: “For the first time, he faces an opponent of an entirely different nature — love.

“A force as exhilarating as it is destabilizing — and far more dangerous than anything he has encountered on the court.”

Romeo, the son of football legend David and fashion designer Victoria, has modelled for the biggest luxury brands like Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga for years.

Fans flocked to comment on social media and one wrote: “Romeo picking a debut where the rival becomes the love interest is bold casting.”

Another said: “Watching this to see if romeo can sell the moment the match turns personal.”

A third said: “Beckham energy meeting soft tennis drama is giving unexpected but welcome character arc.”

“This setup turns every serve into a metaphor and i’m here for it,” said another.

While a fifth wrote: “From the football pitch to a romance film…. That’s an unexpected career move. Wishing him the best for his acting debut.”

Forty Love marks the first directorial outing by renowned fashion photographer Pierre-Ange Carlotti.

The film is produced by Hugo Sélignac and Paco de Bary at Chi-Fou-Mi Productions, a Mediawan company, and co-produced by Studiocanal and Manna Studios.

Brooklyn Beckham detailed business struggles just weeks before his savage World Cup ad

BROOKLYN Beckham spoke about struggles he was facing with his hot sauce business, Cloud23, just weeks before his controversial World Cup ad.

The aspiring chef appeared to have cashed in on his ongoing family drama this week as a new advert to promote DoorDash – a food delivery service – was released.

The big-money ad – which saw Brooklyn hint at his reason for not attending the World Cup, which his dad is currently enjoying – has been widely received as a swipe at his famous family.

Swipe or not, the payday could have come at a good time for Brooklyn, who revealed just weeks before its release that he was ‘figuring out’ things in his business.

The eldest child of David and Victoria launched hot sauce brand Cloud23 in October 2024, and has admitted he has faced ‘ups and downs’ with the brand since.

Speaking at the Tribeca Festival in New York last week, Brooklyn explained of his company: ‘I didn’t really know what I was getting into when I was creating this.

“There have been a lot of ups and a lot of downs. There are things we’ve had to figure out.

“I’m still learning every single day. I’m going to continue to learn forever.”

Brooklyn also detailed how he wanted the brand to be much more than his famous name, which was built by his footballer dad and popstar mum.

“When I was creating this, I didn’t want to create another celebrity brand. I wanted to create the cleanest hot sauce there is with the most beautiful bottle,” explained the 27-year-old.

Brooklyn’s DoorDash ad has been widely seen as a nod to his estrangement from famous parents David, 51, and Victoria, 52, as well as his brothers and sister and wider family for over a year.

In the ad, he says to the camera: “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home…”

Smirking Brooklyn then laughs: “It’s a long story.”

He goes on to throw down his tickets onto the coffee table.

The advert then says: “It’s complicated. More soon.”

Brooklyn – whose dad played for England in three World Cups – tells the camera: “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home…”

He ends the DoorDash ad laughing: “It’s a long story.”

Now sources close to David and Victoria say they’ve been left “furious” over the ‘attack’ ad.

A source close to the Beckhams said: “To do an ad based on estrangement from family as if it’s a joke when his family is devastated and sister and grandparents are inconsolable…

PEACE PLEA SNUB

Brooklyn Beckham BLANKS sister Harper’s attempt to mend toxic family feud

“Surely he’s going to get stick for claiming he wants peace and privacy and nothing to do with his family, before trying to cash in on it all?

“He says he wants nothing to do with his family, but is now completely trading off them again.”

Brooklyn has been estranged from his family – including his siblings – for more than a year.

In January, the Beckhams’ eldest son made a dozen explosive accusations in a ruthless statement hitting out at his family.

The 26-year-old called out his famous parents for their “inauthenticity”, accused them of making bribes and scolded the family for their treatment of his wife on their wedding day.

He sent his parents a legal notice warning they can only contact him via lawyers.

In the extraordinary “desist” letter, he also instructed them not to “tag” him on social media.

But in a surprising twist, Brooklyn filmed a World Cup advert taking a savage swipe at his family’s estrangement.

It showed Brooklyn throwing down his match tickets onto the coffee table, which appeared to show a £250,000 designer watch gifted to him by his dad and a stack of unopened letters.

The ad went live on social media after we revealed Brooklyn spurned his sister Harper‘s attempt at a reconciliation.

The 14-year-old was pictured delivering a letter to the house Brooklyn shares with his wife Nicola Peltz at the weekend.

The couple were not home at the time and have not yet responded.

They quickly hit back at the Beckhams, claiming the letter felt like an “orchestrated move by his family” – insisting it “made them feel uncomfortable.”

A spokesman for the couple added: “That photographers were in place as the letter was hand-delivered says it all.

“This was choreographed for the cameras.”

But a source close to the Beckhams called it “another untrue and unfair accusation”.

Beckhams put on a united front as they hit back at Brooklyn team’s ‘untrue & unfair’ claim Harper visit ‘choreographed’

THE BECKHAMS appeared to put on a united front after they hit back at Brooklyn’s teams claims that Harper’s visit was “choreographed”.

Harper, who was in the US to see footballer dad David, 51, get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, was seen arriving at Brooklyn’s Beverly Hills pad in a SUV.

The 14-year-old arrived “unannounced” and “left seconds later without seeing him”, according to claims in Page Six.

A spokesperson for Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz hit out at his famous parents, claiming they organised the whole thing – an allegation dismissed by family source as “clearly nonsense”.

In new photos, David and Victoria, 52, were seen out for dinner at Nobu in Malibu amid the ongoing feud with Brooklyn.

The family appeared tense as they headed into the swanky eatery.

Victoria and David’s son Romeo, 23, was also present for the dinner, along with his girlfriend Kim Turnbull, 25.

Romeo has stood by his parents throughout the family fallout his brother.

And last night was no different as he attended the meal out, just a day after sister Harper attempted to heal the rift by visiting Brooklyn’s LA home.

Harper was reportedly hand-delivering a letter as she arrived at Brooklyn’s home.

A rep for Brooklyn and Nicola said: “That photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all – this was choreographed for the cameras.”

But source for the Beckhams hit back today, saying: “This is clearly nonsense and just another untrue and unfair accusation.”

Shortly after news of Harper’s very brief visit, Brooklyn took to social media to reveal that he wasn’t in Los Angeles.

He shared a photo of him jogging in park in New York City.

Yesterday a source told Page Six how the budding chef, married to actress Nicola Peltz, 31, was out of town with his wife.

Earlier this year, David and Victoria Beckham‘s eldest son let rip at his parents in a brutal social media takedown – and said he has no wish to reconcile.

In a scathing statement, Brooklyn told how he grew up with “overwhelming anxiety” having been “controlled” by his parents most of his life.

Since then, understandably, tensions have been high.

This week, Brooklyn snubbed former England footballer David on his special commemoration day.

He gave his speech before unveiling his star and he mentioned his children – but did not name them individually.

“My beautiful children who are the reason I get out of bed in the morning,” he said while choking back tears.

“Kids, I hope you bring my grandchildren here one day and tell them about a boy who dreamed big,” he added.

Later on, David closed down any potential chat about Brooklyn as he insisted the family troubles are a “private matter”.

Brooklyn’s furious tirade on Instagram came amid a bitter family feud which has rumbled on for months.

In his jaw-dropping message earlier this year, he made 12 key accusations towards his loved ones including allegations of “bribery” and family members telling Nicola “she’s not family”.

During his bombshell post, Brooklyn claimed: “I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared.

“I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief.”

He added: “My parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family.

“The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”

At the time, he was criticised for “hypocrisy” after Brand Beckham had opened many doors for him in his career.

He also alleged Victoria cancelled making his spouse Nicola’s wedding dress “at the 11th hour” and that his mum then “hijacked” their first dance.

In six blistering posts on his Instagram stories he claimed dad David and mum Victoria have been trying to “endlessly ruin my relationship” with Nicola.

He said: “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

Friends of the Beckhams told The Sun how the pair had been left “floored” by their son’s accusations.

However, David wasn’t happy when asked what toll the media coverage on the fallout had on him.

He replied: “To be honest, I’m sorry to stop you there, but that’s a private matter. That’s the one thing that I don’t want to talk about.”

However, he did open up about the key to his 26-year marriage with Victoria and creating their “four incredible kids.”

David grafted for his star under the category of Sport Entertainment after becoming the UK’s first billionaire sportsman.

Singer-turned-fashion-designer Victoria Beckham will of course be on hand during the ceremony as she’s poised to share her support for David.

Former Spice Girl Victoria is said to be showing up for her man by speaking at the event alongside their pal Hollywood actor Tom Cruise.

The star will be located less than five miles from the Beverly Hills mansion Brooklyn shares with Nicola.

A source previously told The Sun: “Brooklyn snubbing David’s special day will be a very public humiliation as he lives in Hollywood.

The rift has been a great cause of heartache.”

Secrets of BA’s history from paper dresses and grouse for dinner to contraband

EXCLUSIVE: A new book charts the extraordinary history of British Airways, inclduing its unusual first passenger flight, its unique link to Marmite, royal fans, and some questionable fashion

British Airways has been flying for 107 years, connecting Britain to the world across more than a century of aviation history.

From a single biplane lifting off from a grass field in west London to a fleet serving destinations across the globe, the story of the world’s favourite airline is told in a new history by Captain Al Bridger – taking the story of BA in 100 objects, which encompass everything from Neville Chamberlain to Marmite.

British Airways traces its roots to 1919, when Aircraft Transport and Travel (AT&T) launched the world’s first international scheduled passenger service from Hounslow Heath to Paris.

This pioneering line later fed into Imperial Airways, which became BOAC in 1939 for long-haul routes, while BEA was formed in 1946 for European services; the two finally merged in 1974 to create modern British Airways.

But it began on August 25 1919 when a modest biplane was prepared on the grass at Hounslow Heath, a few miles from what is now Heathrow Airport. Captain Al said: “The world’s first international scheduled passenger was piloted by Lieutenant Bill Lawford.

“It carried one passenger, some newspapers, fresh grouse bound for the British Ambassador to France and Devonshire clotted cream. In challenging weather, Lawford skilfully completed the trip in 2 hours and 30 minutes.”

Five years later, in March 1924, the British government formed Imperial Airways, at the futuristic Croydon Airport. The art deco structure had a first-class restaurant, canteen for staff and a viewing gallery. The network expanded and flights could reach Delhi in seven-and-a-half days.

The Argosy aircraft, which first flew a passenger service on July 16 1926, gave early travellers a taste of luxury that would define the airline’s ambitions for decades to come. Captain Al said: “A white-coated steward served twenty passengers incredible four-course meals with drinks, providing true luxury for those lucky enough to afford it.

“The aircraft were also used for very popular weekend ‘Tea Flights’, offering afternoon tea while enjoying fabulous views over the capital.”

Among the collection’s most striking objects is a signed photograph of Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, stepping from a British Airways Lockheed 10A after his famous Munich meetings and the declaration of “peace in our time”.

The 1950s brought a fresh start. “The Jet Age was officially launched with the introduction of the Comet in 1952, placing the UK at the very forefront of aviation,” said Captain Al, “The Rolls-Royce-powered Boeing 707 was a truly iconic symbol of the 1960s, and Sydney in Australia was now within reach in just 33 hours with four stops on the way. A true symbol of the iconic 1960s, the Boeing 707 was a triumph, shrinking the world overnight.”

The collection’s menu cards speak to a more glamorous age of flying. A BEA Silver Wing menu signed by Sir Winston Churchill on 26 April 1955 sits alongside one signed by Muhammad Ali on 10 May 1979

The 1960s brought experimentation of a more flamboyant kind. BOAC introduced cabin crew uniforms that became one of aviation’s most memorable fashion footnotes.

“While famously described as paper dresses, they were in fact sensibly made of a fireproof fabric that resembled paper and could be cut to the required length,” said Captain Al. “Incredibly, they were discarded after each flight.” They lasted a year.

The airline was also reaching out to its youngest passengers. On 26 March 1957, BOAC launched the Junior Jet Club, and Captain Al said: “The club was a huge success and had over 2 million members in its twenty-seven years of existence. Cabin crew would hand young travellers an envelope containing a registration form, a logbook and a Junior Jet Club badge.”

No history of British Airways would be complete without Concorde. The aircraft first flew on 2 March 1969 and entered service with British Airways on 21 January 1976. Captain Al said: “Concorde was to become the flagship of the fleet, bringing supersonic travel to everyone for the first time. Able to carry 100 customers in total luxury at speeds in excess of Mach 2 (more than 1,300 mph) the aircraft could cross the Atlantic in under 3 hours, with the record set on 7 February 1996 at 2 hours and 52 minutes.” The aircraft operated its last service on 24 October 2003.

While Concorde was redefining long-haul travel, the airline was also transforming life on board for ordinary passengers. A BOAC packing checklist pamphlet from the 1960s shows the formality of travel at the time. “For gentlemen, the list mentions the necessity of a dinner jacket, shirt collars and hair tonic,” said Captain Al. “For ladies, a bed jacket, hat and stole were essentials when travelling abroad.”

A photograph of the Beatles from the same era shows the Fab Four carrying BEA travel bags. Captain Al said: “Note how the Beatles are carrying BEA(TLES) travel bags, much like the more common BOAC bags. Clearly the band were travelling light.”

The 1980s brought fresh challenges and fresh ambition. In 1995, as part of a £500 million investment, the airline introduced the world’s first fully flat bed seat in First Class. Captain Al said: “Scientifically proven to give a much better night of sleep, it represented a huge leap forward in airline comfort.”

The airline’s inflight magazine, High Life, had been charting the journey since 1973. Captain Al said: “It truly is BA’s wingman. Through the years there have been some amazing contributors, from Jilly Cooper to Morecambe and Wise.”

Smoking had been part of airline life since the very beginning, but by March 1998 it was over. “When BEA was formed in 1946 over half of the British public smoked, with two-thirds of adult males recorded as smokers,” said Captain Al. “It wasn’t until 1998 that British Airways introduced a complete smoking ban on all flights.”

The modern era brought its own landmark moments. On 18 May 2012, a gold-liveried Airbus A319 named Firefly carried the Olympic flame into Culdrose Naval Airbase in Cornwall. Captain Al said: “Safely contained in four miner’s lamps, the flame was taken from the aircraft by Anne, the Princess Royal, accompanied by Lord Coe, the chairman of the London Olympics Organising Committee and football superstar David Beckham.”

The airline’s centenary in 2019 produced one of the collection’s most unlikely objects. “To celebrate the airline’s centenary, British Airways and Marmite teamed up and created a limited-edition jar that could be purchased on board,” said Captain Al.

“Apparently Marmite is the most confiscated brand at airport security, so the centenary jar was made to be just 70 grams, conveniently sized to fit within the liquid allowance to get it safely through airport security.”

Few objects in the collection carry more weight than the Royal Flights book, its pages bearing the signatures of those who have trusted the airline across the decades. The first entry dates from November 1983.

Captain Al said: “The book was beautifully inscribed with superb calligraphy and the signatures of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Late Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh. Fittingly, the final signature is again that of Her Late Majesty after her visit to the British Airways Headquarters on 23 May 2019 to celebrate the airline’s centenary year.”

From a grass field in Hounslow to the signature of a queen, British Airways has carried the nation and the world for 107 years.

As Captain Al writes of the airline he has served and loves: “It has seen great highs and led the world through some very challenging times, and I know it will continue to give the best it can in the coming years, generating many more wonderful objects along the way.”

British Airways in 100 Objects by Al Bridger is published by Amberley, £17.99

BA in numbers

46.3 million passengers carried in 2025.

Fleet of 254 aircraft serving 215 destinations across six continents.

40,000 employees worldwide.

Revenue of £14.6 billion in 2024.

Victoria looked amazing in the photos, rocking a floaty chiffon brown dress, which was covered in a pretty floral print.

But now Harper has been spotted rocking the same exact frock after seemingly raiding her mum’s wardrobe and channelling her chic style.

The teenager was seen out and about wearing the garment while smiling from ear-to-ear.

It is thought that the brown chiffon dress could be a new Victoria Beckham piece from the high-end designer fashion brand.

Harper paired the dress with a stunning £1,275 golden Bottega Veneta clutch bag and a pair of £680 Hermès Oran sandals.

This comes as Harper continues to be tipped to follow in her mother’s footsteps as a fashion and beauty entrepreneur.

Back in October last year, HIKU BY Harper, the proposed name for the skincare and beauty brand, was filed under two trademark applications by the business Victoria incorporated for Harper, H7B Limited, matching the teenager’s full name, Harper Seven Beckham.

A source told us at the time: “Harper loves fashion and make-up and has already started doing make-up tutorials.

“The plan is to create a brand aimed at the younger market, taking inspiration for pop culture and Korean beauty.

The Beckhams are incredibly encouraging parents when it comes to their kids’ talents and exploring their hobbies and business ideas.  They’re a very entrepreneurial family.”

Victoria previously said of her daughter: “Harper is going to be one of two things.

“She’s either going to be a beauty mogul or she’s going to be a stand-up.

“She is hilarious.”

This comes after football legend and his wife Victoria were revealed to have amassed a fortune of £1.185billion, as per Sunday Times Rich List.

Sir David’s new eye-watering fortune puts him ahead of the King, whose wealth stands at just £680million.

The Beckhams’ skyrocketing ascent to 141st on the list comes thanks to business ventures including Victoria’s fashion brand and their lucrative production company, which was behind their hit Netflix documentary.

The power couple also have a number of commercial deals with the likes of Adidas, Pepsi, Armani, Coty, which made Beckham’s Instinct aftershave, and the Las Vegas Sands hotel group.

But the biggest increase in the Manchester United legend’s wealth was because of his US football club Inter Miami, which he created in 2018 and owns a 26 per cent stake of.

The hugely popular club is continuously growing thanks to its star players like Lionel Messi and fellow ex-Barcelona star Luis Suarez.

Earlier this year Brooklyn had launched a nuclear attack on his family stating that he did “not want to reconcile” with his them, and accused his parents of “controlling” the narrative.

Last month Victoria broke her silence on her long-running feud with Brooklyn.

Speaking to The Wall Street Journal magazine, Victoria did not refer to Brooklyn by name when asked about the rift but discussed how she had only ever tried to “protect and love our children”.

The Spice Girls star said: “I think that we’ve always—we love our children so much.

“We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children.

“And you know, that’s all I really want to say about it.”
