Performing at the Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan, the icon belted out a range of historic tracks.

He performed the famous tune Surfin’ USA, Help Me Rhonda and California Girls.

Wilson appeared onstage as part of his 2022 US Summer Tour in July of that year.

Today, the music legend’s family announced the tragic news that he passed away.

In a post shared on Instagram on Wednesday, Wilson’s family wrote: “We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away.

“We are at a loss for words right now. Please respect our privacy at this time as our family is grieving.

“We realize that we are sharing our grief with the world. Love & Mercy.”

Tributes are starting to roll in from fans and celebrities alike.

The Rolling Stones legend Ronnie has lead the tributes to the star and confirmed his world is “in mourning” following the passing of Brian and fellow musician, Sly Stone.

Celebrated as a spectacular songwriter, Wilson was responsible for initial successes including Surfin’ USA, Surfer Girl, and I Get Around.

Other famous tunes include All Summer Long, Don’t Worry Baby, and California Girls.

Born in Inglewood, California, Wilson formed the band – first called the Pendletones – as a teenager with his brothers Dennis and Carl.

He was the eldest and last surviving of the trio.

Brian played bass, Carl lead guitar and Dennis was on drums.

The Beach Boys rocketed to fame during the 1960s, going from local California band to national hitmakers – and international ambassadors of surf and sun.

A judge signed off on a conservatorship for Beach Boys legend Wilson just months after he was diagnosed with dementia in 2024.

He consented to the agreement and had no objections.

Wilson’s doctor said the musician suffered from a “major neurocognitive disorder” and needed help making healthcare decisions.

The judge’s decision to approve Wilson’s conservatorship came as the pop icon prepared to launch new music this year.

In 1970, the Beach Boys star started working on a country album with the band’s former manager Fred Vail on lead vocals.

The project was paused but was later picked up again by the two musicians.

The album had been due for release in 2025 and Wilson was due to be featured on guest vocals, according to Rolling Stone.

Brian Wilson’s illness and conservatorship

A judge signed off on a conservatorship for Beach Boys legend Wilson just months after he was diagnosed with dementia in 2024.

He consented to the agreement and had no objections.

Wilson’s doctor said the musician suffered from a “major neurocognitive disorder” and needed help making healthcare decisions.

The judge also agreed to a stipulation requested by an attorney for Wilson’s eldest daughters, Carnie and Wendy Wilson.

Wilson’s daughters asked that all of his children be added to a text chain from his nurses to receive updates on their father if they choose.

The addition was added to the petition before it was signed by Judge May.

Wilson has seven children, two of whom lived with him.

In his decision, May wrote that “the conservatee lacks the capacity to make his own healthcare decisions.”

His new conservators, manager-publicist Jean Sievers and business manager LeeAnn Hard, were ordered to “consult with the conservatee’s children regarding all material related healthcare decisions.”

Wilson’s lawyer, Robert Frank Cipriano, reported that his client agreed that he needed a conservatorship after his wife’s death.

Melinda, who died at age 77, was previously in charge of her husband’s affairs.

Cipriano said that Wilson was “mostly difficult to understand and gave very short responses to questions and comments” and had issues remembering the names of his other children.

The petition said there wouldn’t be major changes to Wilson’s living arrangements under the conservatorship.

The judge’s decision to approve Wilson’s conservatorship came as the pop icon prepared to launch new music this year.

I was 19, pregnant & arguing with my boyfriend when his texts stopped – then an Instagram post tore my world apart

MAYCI Neeley is a household name since appearing on the hit reality TV show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, but now, she has revealed the heartbreaking story of her first love.

While her life may seem picture perfect with a doting husband, two kids, and another on the way, she has now shared her tragic past.

She’s often seen on Instagram posing with her husband, Jacob Neeley, but he isn’t the biological father of the nine-year-old son, though.

Before her marriage, Mayci was in a relationship with Arik Mack. Then her life changed forever.

In 2015, Mayci, who was just 19, was at university on a tennis scholarship when she found out she was pregnant.

Mayci described Arik as a bit of a wild guy” who was “so full of life.”

So she had concerns about him settling down with the arrival of their baby.

But he assured Mayci he was ready to be a dad and marry her.

While Mayci says she didn’t want to give up her tennis career, she decided to leave university and move back to her families home for support.

Arik decided to stay at the university, which was in a different city in Utah.

“Being away from Arik was harder than I thought. My hormones were all over the place,” she told The Mirror.

“On 24 March 2015, Arik and I had a fight. The pressure on us had become too much and we started to argue over text.”

Unveiling the Hidden Lives of Mormon Wives

“Little did I know that Arik was driving while texting me. Frustrated, I stopped replying to his messages.”

Mayci didn’t think much of it when he stopped replying, that was until she checked social media later that day.

Tragic Realisation

While scrolling through Instagram, she noticed a series of tribute posts to her boyfriend.

She saw a post that read: “I’ll miss you, Arik”, which had a photo of him.

The next post said, “RIP.”

Shocked by what she was seeing, she called his father, who confirmed Arik had tragically passed away due to texting and driving and had been killed on impact.

Reflecting on that time of heartbreak, the reality TV star said: “I was 13 weeks and 5 days pregnant. Me and him got into a disagreement.

I remember calling him and hoping he would answer.

Mayci Neeley

“Mainly me, I was upset with him, and we were sending texts back and forth and one of his texts was unfinished at the end of it.

“I remember calling him and hoping he would answer. And the worst part of it was just hearing the dial tone and being like, ‘Please God, answer the phone.’ And I called his dad and his dad told me that he passed away in a car accident… It was the most traumatic time of my life.”

“I was utterly destroyed. I had no idea that he was driving – I never would have replied to him if I knew,” she continued.

“Arik was my best friend and suddenly, he was gone.”

“My baby would never be held by their father. It was too much to bear.”

Tragically, Mayci found out the day after he boyfriend died that she was having a baby boy.

The pregnant teen sank into a deep depression as she tried to cope with the grief while carrying their only child, Hudson.

The loss of the life she had imagined with Arik was too much for Mayci, who also revealed she received negative comments from those around her.

I didn’t want to live, to be honest.

Mayci Neeley

“You’re young, you have plenty of time to find a father for your son,” said one, while another quipped: “At least you’ll never have to co-parent.”

In September 20115, Mayci gave birth to their son and says he saved her life.

Speaking on the show, Mayci said: “I truly feel like he was my first love, and it just destroyed me.

“I didn’t want to live, to be honest, and if it wasn’t for my son, I don’t even know if I’d be here today.”

Finding Love Again

Mayci decided to make the brave decision to go back to university while navigating being a single mum.

When Hudson was seven months old, Jacob Neeley came into her life after meeting through mutual friends.

“I was terrified of getting hurt again but after four months, I couldn’t deny my feelings any longer. He was kind and funny and made me feel safe,” she wrote for The Mirror.

The pair began dating and were engaged in November 2017 before getting married in 2018.

Jacob has since gone on to adopt Hudson, and he and Mayci had a daughter through IVF called Harlow.

Now Mayci is pregnant again and announced the news on social media.

“Baby #3 is on the way and we couldn’t be happier!” she wrote in an Instagram post.

Callum Simpson credits late sister for inspiring comeback Ivan Zucco KO after being dropped EIGHT SECONDS into fight

CALLUM SIMPSON called on inspiration from his late sister Lily Rae to come from behind and stop Ivan Zucco to win the European title.

Simpson suffered the devastating news that his 19-year-old sister had tragically died last year in a quad bike accident on holiday in Greece.

But the Barnsley boxing hero – who headlined at the Oakwell Football Ground – continues to fight in Lily Rae’s honour.

And she would have watched on with pride as her big brother came back to stop Zucco in round ten after three knockdowns.

Simpson, crowned the European super-middleweight champion, said: “Not once did I give up, those last few rounds I’ll be honest I started thinking about my little sister Lily.

“I’ll be honest, I just thought I had to push for her and for everybody.

“This time last year, Lily was sat up here cheering me on and she was there with me tonight when it got tough, when it got hard.

“From round eight, I thought, ‘I’ve got to dig deep, I’ve got to keep pushing, I’ve gotta do it for her. She was with me tonight.”

Simpson filled Barnsley’s 23,000-seater – but he got off to a horror start after being floored by only the second punch Zucco threw.

Simpson made it to his feet with little trouble but opted to try and make Zucco pay – and buzzed the travelling Italian himself before the bell sounded.

The opener was a frenzy of wild shots with both men hurt and the following two rounds was much of the same.

And again Simpson was down in round three after a huge left hand as the chaos continued.

‘We never know’ – Tyson Fury refuses to rule out comeback as Anthony Joshua nears new ‘amazing’ fight deal

The former British and Commonwealth super-middleweight had to pick himself up and dust himself off to turn the fight around.

And that is exactly what he did with constant pressure in the second half of the fight turning the tide.

By round ten, Simpson was on the front foot and trapped Zucco in the corner – letting off a devastating triple uppercut.

It dropped Zucco – who got to his feet – but again he was pinned in the corner and floored with two of the same shots.

The underdog European once again made it to his feet but Simpson, smelling blood, jumped on Zucco and forced him to the floor with a barrage of shots.

This time there was no coming back for Zucco – as Simpson turned the fight on its head with a comeback victory for the ages.

Liam Payne’s grieving girlfriend Kate Cassidy shares ‘sign’ from One Direction star

LIAM Payne’s grieving girlfriend Kate Cassidy has shared a ‘sign’ from the tragic star.

The One Direction star died in October last year at the age of 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina.

Influencer Kate, 25, had been dating Liam, 31, for two years when he died.

She had been with him in Argentina until two days before his death.

Seven months on from that tragic day, Kate has discovered a previous social media tribute to the singer, has been shared 4,444 times.

It is very similar to the 4:44 figure adopted by Liam and Kate as their ‘angel number’ prior to his sudden death.

Drawing attention to her shares and their likeness to the angel number on Instagram, Kate, 26, said: “Hi Liam.”

In numerology, 444 is a sign that the ‘angels are with you’ and are ‘there to guide you step by step’.

The way the figures are formed means they represent stability and a reassurance that you are not alone.

Following his death, Kate added ‘444’ to her emotional tribute to her ‘angel’ boyfriend and shared a snap of a note where Liam had written the numbers.

It showed the former One Direction band-member’s fascination with ‘angel numbers’ and ‘manifesting’.

Kate revealed that she and Payne had been ‘manifesting their lives together’ – which was heavily associated with the number 444.

Liam Payne revealed guilt over spending money on himself and determination to help family with debts as late star’s staggering fortune revealed

Numerology expert Sunny Dawn Johnston told Glamour: ‘When you see these numbers, know deep within that the angels are speaking to you, guiding and supporting you.

‘It’s a blessing to be in such direct communication with the divine.’

Only a few days ago, heartbroken Kate shared a snap a sweet unseen snap of the singer taken before his sad death.

Although you couldn’t see their faces, Liam’s distinctive eagle tattoo could be seen on his hand.

Liam Payne’s sad death

On October 16, 2024, Liam Payne sadly died, leaving family, friends and fans devastated.

Here we take you through the biggest stories to unfold since his tragic passing:

The grieving girlfriend often posts sweet pictures of her beloved Liam, as she tries to come to terms with his death.

Just over a week ago, she shared a slew of snaps from their last holiday together.

Kate has had an incredibly tough time, following Liam’s shock death.

In March, she discussed how she was finding life and dealing with the pain of such an enormous loss.

Speaking to ITV‘s Lorraine, she said: “I’m going through this healing journey, sometimes it’s hard for me to get out of bed in the morning and something I don’t want to do.”

Kate had been staying with Liam in Argentina but flew back to America before his fatal accident.

In an interview with The Sun last month she revealed his death “still doesn’t feel fully real”.

She added: “Love is so optimistic, and you just hope that everything will work out at the end.

“Obviously if I knew, if I could see into the future, I would never have left Argentina.”

Details surrounding his death have not yet been released, though he had been battling various health issues in recent years.

Irsay took control of the Colts in 1997 following the death of his father, Robert Irsay, who bought the team in 1972 for $12 million.

“We are devastated to announce our beloved Owner & CEO, Jim Irsay, passed away peacefully in his sleep this afternoon,” the Colts said in a statement.

“Jim’s dedication and passion for the Indianapolis Colts in addition to his generosity, commitment to the community, and most importantly, his love for his family were unsurpassed.”

“Our deepest sympathies go to his daughters, Carlie Irsay-Gordon, Casey Foyt, Kalen Jackson, and his entire family as we grieve with them.”

Irsay’s career with the team began decades earlier when he worked in every department before becoming the NFL’s youngest general manager in 1984, just as the Colts moved from Baltimore to Indianapolis.

After assuming full ownership in the late 90s, he helped guide the team to its first Super Bowl title in Indianapolis and oversaw a string of division championships.

“Jim’s love and appreciation for the NFL in addition to its history, tradition, and principles influenced him to become a steward of the game throughout his 50-plus years in the League,” the statement continued.

He was also known for his philanthropy and passion for music.

“He made philanthropy a daily endeavor. He never hesitated to help countless organizations and individuals live better lives.

Controversial Tush Push AVOIDS ban by NFL after Philadelphia Eagles send Jason Kelce to league meeting

“Music was one of Jim’s passions and the ability to share his band and collection with millions of people across the world brought him tremendous joy. ”

“Simply put, he wanted to make the world a better place and that philosophy never wavered.”

“Jim will be deeply missed by his family, the Colts organization, and fans everywhere, but we remain inspired by his caring and unique spirit.”

“NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said: “We were deeply saddened to learn of Jim Irsay’s passing today.

“Jim was a friend, and a man deeply committed to his family, the game, the Colts, and the Indianapolis community.

“On behalf of the entire NFL, I extend my heartfelt condolences to Jim’s daughters and their families, and to his many friends throughout the NFL.”

Irsay was arrested in 2014 for driving under the influence, a charge he later claimed stemmed from being singled out as “a rich, white billionaire.”

He maintained that a recent hip surgery—not alcohol—was the reason he failed the field sobriety test.

Janet Andrewartha was best known for her role as Lyn Scully in the hit soap, Neighbours.

She first made her debut on the former Channel 5 serial drama back in 1999.

She had a number of on and off stints on Ramsay Street, before departing for the final time in 2019.

But less than three months after she received a cancer diagnosis, the star passed away in July of last year.

At the time, her friend – and Neighbours co-star – Jackie Woodburne paid a heartfelt tribute to her pal.

She said: “[Janet] was one of the finest actors of a generation. I will miss her every day.”

However, viewers were shocked to see her appear on-screen once again in the ITV drama, Fake.

The show focuses on a smart magazine writer named Birdie (Asher Keddie) who seems to have found her ideal match.
