MILWAUKEE — Bennedict Mathurin scored 28 points, John Collins had 22 and Kawhi Leonard finished with 20 as the Clippers got past the short-handed Milwaukee Bucks 127-113 on Sunday for their fifth consecutive win.

Darius Garland added 15 points and 11 assists and Derrick Jones Jr. 13 points for the Clippers, who made 45 of 77 shots (58.4%).

Gary Trent Jr. had a season-high 36 points to pace Milwaukee, which had only eight players available. Taurean Prince added 18 points and AJ Green scored 15 for the Bucks, who have lost 10 of their last 12 games.

The Bucks stayed close early, trailing 29-25 after one quarter with Trent scoring 11 points, including sinking three of five from three-point range.

The Clippers began to pull away in the second, holding a 57-46 lead at the half after leading by as many as 16. Leonard had 15 first-half points.

Brook Lopez, a member of the Bucks’ 2021 NBA championship team, was honored with a video tribute in his first visit back to Milwaukee. He was whistled for a technical foul as the teams were headed to the locker room at halftime.

The Clippers outscored Milwaukee 39-28 in the third and extended its lead to as many as 24 points in the fourth before the Bucks pulled within 11 in the late stages.

Sloppy play hurt Milwaukee, which committed 22 turnovers leading to 33 Clippers points.

Giannis Antetokounmpo sat out a seventh consecutive game for Milwaukee with a left knee hyperextension and bone bruise. The two-time MVP has played in a career-low 36 games this season.

The Bucks also were missing Kevin Porter Jr. (right knee), Bobby Portis (left wrist sprain), Kyle Kuzma (Achilles tendinopathy), Ryan Rollins (left hip flexor), Myles Turner (right knee), Gary Harris (personal reasons) and Thanasis Antetokounmpo (left calf).

Green and Ousmane Dieng fouled out in the fourth, leaving the Bucks with six available players to finish the game.

Kawhi Leonard scored 28 points in 25 minutes and the Clippers pummeled the Milwaukee Bucks 129-96 on Monday night.

Brook Lopez added 19 points, Darius Garland had 15 points and six assists, and the Clippers won consecutive games after four straight losses. They made all 18 of their free throws and got back to .500 with 10 games remaining in the regular season after having a 6-21 record on Dec. 18.

Gary Trent Jr. paced the Bucks with 20 points off the bench. Ryan Rollins led their starters with 13, and Milwaukee had five players in double figures. The Bucks have lost 10 of their past 14 games, including three of four since sitting superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo because of a left knee injury.

The Clippers dominated the three-point line at both ends of the court, making 17 of 38 shots from long range (45%) while frustrating the Bucks before they used a meaningless fourth-quarter flurry to finish at 39% (16 for 41). That included the Clippers sinking 11 of 22 attempts in the first half, including a seven-for-12 stretch to help fuel a 43-point second quarter.

The onslaught continued into the second half as the Clippers went up by 46. Even the 7-foot-1 Lopez got in on the fun, shooting four of five on threes in the third quarter.

Leonard, who sat out the fourth quarter, shook off a sluggish start to go eight for 18 from the field and make nine foul shots. He had 16 points in the second quarter.

In his 14th NBA season, Leonard is averaging a career-high 28.3 points per game, helping push the Clippers back to an all-but-certain spot in the play-in tournament following their miserable start.

The UK’s Eurovision Song Contest hopeful Look Mum No Computer has had the thumbs-up from ex-champions Bucks Fizz to do well in this year’s competition.

Our entrant – whose real name is Sam Battle – has divided fans with his new wave electro number called Eins Zwei Drei – which means one, two, three in German. Some have praised the performer and inventor, who once created a Furby organ, for his “bonkers but original feel good song”.

But some harsh critics have branded the act as “a millennial cos-player with no talent”, “a 1980s synth reject” and “another dud who’ll end up Look Mum No Points”.

Now former Eurovision winners Bucks Fizz – known these days as simply The Fizz – have backed Look Mum No Computer to do well in the 70 ^th annual contest being held in May in Vienna. Singer Cheryl Baker, 72, told The Mirror: “I think the 2026 UK entry is absolutely brilliant. I love it. I think we have a really good chance this year of being in the top five.”

Bucks Fizz triumphed at Eurovision in 1981 with their song Making Your Mind Up. Over the decades, the group has undergone some member changes. Following a legal wrangle in the 1990s, Bobby Gee now performs under the original name Bucks Fizz along with three other singers.

Cheryl and original members Jay Aston and Mike Nolan carried on performing as The Fizz. However Mike – who had a miracle recovery after suffering a brain haemorrhage following a tour bus crash in 1984 – left in 2024. The two female singers put out a nationwide call for two men to join them as The Fizz. They ended up hiring Nikk Mager from boyband Phixx and Matthew Pateman from Bad Boys Inc and Let Loose.

To mark the 45 ^th anniversary of the group winning Eurovision, The Fizz has been back in the studio to record a special new song. They have been working with the legendary pop hitmaker Mike Stock. He was part of the famous 1980s Stock, Aitken and Waterman team who produced chart toppers for Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, Rick Astley, Sinitta, Donna Summer and Bananarama.

Mike told fans: “The Fizz were back in the studio recording a new track for the Bucks Fizz 45th anniversary. This is the first time recording with the new guys and they are all sounding great.”
