A THREE-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a horror van crash.
The tot was walking in a car park in Bournemouth, when a blue Vauxhall Vivaro hit him on Saturday.
Dorset Police were called to the scene, in Landsdowne Road, at 12.35pm.
Paramedics rushed the three-year-old to hospital with serious injuries.
His family is being supported by specialist officers.
No arrests have been made and the van driver is assisting officers with the investigation, said the force.
Sergeant Richard Stroud, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “Our thoughts are with the young boy involved in this incident and his family.
“Our enquiries into what happened remain ongoing and I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information that might assist our investigation, to please contact us.”

Kelly: What was it like growing up? Talk to me about your family.
Andoni: Since I was 10 or 11 years old, I always used to go to school on the train alone to San Sebastian. After school, I took a bus to training, and after I finished training my father came to take me. Both of my parents were working – they have been working always. I am used to moving myself since I was young, which has been good for my independence. When I moved, I was 16 and had to go to a new place. I was living alone which is not the easiest thing. But I think it has been good for me.
Kelly: Did you have any brothers or sisters?
Andoni: No.
Kelly: Who did you play football with growing up?
Andoni: In Spain, when you have a school, you have your morning, you have lunch then you have two hours free. Some people go home, and then they come for the afternoon and evening classes, so it was two halves of the day. In between I used to play football all the time. I couldn’t go back home so I stayed there playing football.
Kelly: If you hadn’t been a professional footballer or manager, what would you have done?
Andoni: I started two careers. I haven’t finished any! I started engineering – too ambitious because I was already playing football. I did more than half of the career but I didn’t finish it.
Kelly: How do you escape football?
Andoni: For me, it is quite easy. I have my wife and two kids and they are not much into football. Once I leave the work environment I go home and sometimes we don’t speak anything about football. It’s very good for me. When I have a day off my wife puts lots of plans in place!
Kelly: Your family have travelled around with you. Is it important to have them with you?
Andoni: My family is very important. They are sacrificing a lot. I am going from country to country to the best clubs I have the opportunity to go, and they have to come with me. I am very clear I couldn’t do this without them. If they tell me one day ‘I want to go back home’, I am leaving. We will go back home. I know there will be a moment in my career when I will have to not be the protagonist, when my kids are older and I won’t be the boss any more. I will be happy and we will go back home and I will be the supporting team behind. I know this moment will arrive.
Kelly: If your wife didn’t plan anything for your day off, what would you do for yourself?
Andoni: I live in a place for nature and walks – Bournemouth is one of the best places in the country.
Kelly: I read you are big into reading. Is that a way you escape?
Andoni: Yes. For me, reading is a big help. You forget a little bit about everything else happening around you. It’s something that has helped me from the mental side. I use reading and I use the bike. They are the two ways I forget about the problems you always have when you are a manager.
A PENSIONER is having to sell her home to cover a £113,000 legal bill after losing a five-year dispute over a 1ft strip of land.
Jenny Field, 76, was told to pay £14,000 after her initial court defeat to Pauline Clark, 64, but her repeated challenges saw the total rocket.
A judge has now told her she must pay the resultant £113,126 in three months or flog her £600,000 bungalow in Hamworthy, Dorset, so the cash can be recouped.
The divorcee told a court: “I am selling it because I have to and I’m fed up with living here but I will offer to pay her £1 per week.”
Their feud began in 2020 after Mrs Clark replaced a fence between the properties.
Ms Field claimed it had encroached on her garden and had it demolished, but Mrs Clark sued for damages and won the first case in 2022.
Several appeals followed and Ms Field was accused of wasting time by bombarding the court with papers.
A bid by her to sue for £500,000 in damages was also dismissed as “totally without merit”.
District Judge Ross Fentem said Mrs Clark had been kept from money owed to her for a long time and told Bournemouth county court the order for sale was “a last resort and draconian remedy”.

THIS is the moment a passenger is dragged off a Ryanair plane after sparking a bloody brawl.
He reportedly attempted to yank open the emergency door mid-air during the flight from Bournemouth to Girona, Spain, on Thursday.

The plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Toulouse, France, so the troublemaker could be booted off.
Footage from the runway in Toulouse shows four cops carrying the bloke, who is lying limp and handcuffed in their arms.
They dump him down onto the tarmac as others stand guard.
The man – seen in a white t-shirt and orange shorts – apparently burst out with: “I want to go,” before making a beeline for the plane’s door.
Other passengers – realising he was intent on opening the hatch – jumped to stop him and a scrap followed.
The unidentified man allegedly spat and threw punches at fellow passengers before he was pinned to the floor.
A seatbelt was even bound around his legs to immobilise the troublemaker.
After being plonked back into a seat, he is said to have aimed a headbutt at a pensioner sitting next to him.
Other passengers broke down in tears and even suffered panic attacks in the face of his aggression.
One witness said: “The whole event was very traumatic.
“The man had gone into the toilet and then afterwards was trying opening one of the emergency exit doors.
“He then went to try the other shouting ‘I want to go.’
“That’s when a huge brawl started with a lot more than one man trying to get him away from the doors.
“There was a big punch up and he then finally got taken down in the isle and was pinned to the floor where they then managed to get a seatbelt extender round his ankles to stop him kicking.”
Fellow passenger David Malone said: “They started brawling in the middle of the plane.
“It went on for about 30 minutes and one guy was completely off his head, it took about three people to restrain him.
“It was horrible, there was blood everywhere there were people screaming and crying.
“It was horrible, disgusting really. It made you ashamed to be British to be honest.
“It’s sad really, I felt sorry for the staff. Something needs to be done about the amount of alcohol they allow people to consume at the airport.”
It’s understood the man had been fighting with another person in his group before heading for the doors.
After the man had been removed, the plane continued on to Girona, landing around two hours behind schedule.
A spokesperson for Ryanair said: “This flight from Bournemouth to Girona (4 Sept) was diverted to Toulouse after a passenger became disruptive onboard.
“Crew called ahead for police assistance, who met the aircraft upon landing at Toulouse Airport and offloaded this passenger before this flight continued to Girona.
“Ryanair has a strict zero tolerance policy towards passenger misconduct and will continue to take decisive action to combat unruly passenger behaviour, ensuring that all passengers and crew travel in a respectful and stress-free environment, without unnecessary disruption.”

Bournemouth have agreed a deal for Liverpool winger Ben Doak for an initial £20m with a further £5m in add-ons.
The 19-year-old is expected to complete his transfer to the south coast in the next 24 hours in a move that remains subject to paperwork and passing a medical.
Doak was left out of Liverpool’s 4-2 win over Bournemouth at Anfield on Friday night, amid ongoing talks between the two Premier League clubs.
But Bournemouth have since secured a deal for the forward, who has six caps for Scotland, and spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough, scoring three times and recording seven assists in 24 matches.
They are understood to have beaten interest from other Premier League clubs, including Leeds, as well as Portuguese club Porto.
Doak’s move will give him a better chance of playing first team football having played just 10 times for Liverpool since joining from Celtic in 2022.
It will take Liverpool’s sales to around £200m this summer, having spent more than £270m on new signings and having had a £110m bid for Alexander Isak rejected by Newcastle.
The Premier League’s major sales have included Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich in a £65.5m deal, Darwin Nunez to Al-Hilal for £46.3m and academy player Jarrell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen for £35m.
Caoimhin Kelleher, Tyler Morton and Nat Phillips have also been sold, while the club received £8.4m from Real Madrid to release Trent Alexander-Arnold early from his contract, though the Spanish club dispute this figure.
The sale of Doak could see Liverpool bring in around £80-90m in initial fees for the winger, Phillips, Alexander-Arnold, Kelleher, Quansah and Morton. The six players arrived as either youth players or development projects and cost the Reds an initial £600,000. The subsequent profit for players classed as ‘homegrown’ can all be classed as ‘pure profit’ to immediately boost the Reds in terms of profit and sustainability calculations.
Bournemouth have also had a busy summer having sold Dango Ouattara to Brentford for £42.5m last week.
They already lost defenders Illia Zabarnyi, Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez for a combined total of about £150m to Paris St-Germain, Real Madrid and Liverpool respectively.
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola said his side are “not where they want to be” before defeat at Anfield and added “important movements” will be made before the transfer window closes on 1 September.
Goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic, left-back Adrien Truffert and centre-back Bafode Diakite have joined the club this summer, with January signing Eli Junior Kroupi also coming into the squad after finishing last season on loan at Lorient.
Sources say the Cherries are in the market for a further central defender and a striker to compete with Evanilson, with alternative option Enes Unal expected to be out with a major knee injury until November or December.
In a statement issued at full-time, the Football Association said: “We are very concerned about the allegation of discrimination from an area of the crowd, which was reported to the match officials during the Premier League fixture between Liverpool and Bournemouth.
“Incidents of this nature have no place in our game, and we will work closely with the match officials, the clubs and the relevant authorities to establish the facts and ensure the appropriate action is taken.”
Liverpool, external also issued a statement after the game: “Liverpool Football Club is aware of an allegation of racist abuse made during our Premier League game against AFC Bournemouth.
“We condemn racism and discrimination in all forms, it has no place in society or football.
“The club is unable to comment further as tonight’s alleged incident is the subject of an ongoing police investigation, which we will support fully.”
Reds head coach Arne Slot told Sky Sports: “The club made a clear statement. We don’t want this in football, we don’t want this happening in stadiums, especially not at Anfield.
“We should talk about this for a long time because we do not want this at Anfield. It takes the shine off it (game) a bit because our fans were amazing, especially with the tributes to Diogo.”
Premier League Match Centre, external during the match: “Tonight’s match between Liverpool Football Club and AFC Bournemouth was temporarily paused during the first half after a report of discriminatory abuse from the crowd, directed at Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo.

“Racism has no place in our game, or anywhere in society. We will continue to work with stakeholders and authorities to ensure our stadiums are an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.”
Kick It Out said they “stand in solidarity” with Semenyo and added: “Thirty minutes into the first Premier League game of the season, and Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo is racially abused by someone in the crowd.
“Two nights ago, Tottenham’s Mathys Tel was racially abused online. This is a stark reminder of an ugly reality: black players are facing this every week.
“We stand in solidarity with Antoine and can’t praise him enough for his courage in calling this out after such a distressing episode before going on to score twice.
“Anthony Taylor and his refereeing team also deserve credit for acting swiftly and decisively. We will keep pushing to kick this disgusting behaviour out of the game through punishments, accountability and education, but football still has a long way to go.”
The incident came after Tottenham forward Mathys Tel was the subject of racist abuse on social media after being one of two Spurs players to miss in their Super Cup penalty shootout defeat by Paris St-Germain on Wednesday.
England defender Jess Carter was also the target of racist abuse during Euro 2025 last month.
England internationals Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka were subjected to racism too in the aftermath of the Euro 2020 final, held in July 2021, after all three missed penalties in the shootout loss to Italy.
Bournemouth fight back from two down but Liverpool secure late win on emotional Anfield night.
Liverpool talisman Mo Salah and fellow forward Federico Chiesa struck late goals as the Premier League champions began the defence of their title by beating Bournemouth 4-2 in a thriller on the opening night of the season at Anfield.
On a bittersweet Friday evening charged with emotion after the July death of Liverpool forward Diogo Jota, newcomer Hugo Ekitike bagged a goal on his league debut to put the hosts ahead after 37 minutes, and Cody Gakpo doubled the lead in the 49th.
But Antoine Semenyo, who was the target of racist abuse in the first half that led to a pause in the game, pulled one back for the visitors in the 64th minute and completed a double 12 minutes later to rock Liverpool and shock the home fans.
However, substitute Chiesa sent the Liverpool faithful away happy with an 88th-minute strike after goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic swatted away a ball into the box by Salah, who scored himself deep into added time to wrap up the three points.
Salah chased the ball past the defence before cutting inside and firing into the bottom corner with a goal that put the Egypt international joint-fourth with Andy Cole on the all-time Premier League scorers’ list with 187.
An emotional Salah pointed to the heavens and flapped two hands to mimic Jota’s shark goal celebration.
He headed for The Kop stand after the final whistle and wiped away tears while applauding the fans who were singing Jota’s song to the tune of Bad Moon Rising.
The night started with an emotional minute’s silence for Jota and his brother Andre Silva, who died in a car crash. Fans fought back tears as they sang You’ll Never Walk Alone.
Ekitike, who has joined from Eintracht Frankfurt, was the most impressive of manager Arne Slot’s close-season signings in a spending spree topping 300 million pounds ($406.53m).
“Obviously, I think it was a good performance, I could do better,” said Ekitike, who held up two fingers in one hand, and made a zero with the other after his goal, a tribute to Liverpool’s Jota, who wore number 20.
“But the most important thing was winning, the mentality we showed. Obviously, we wanted to win tonight for the people who came and for Diogo,” added the 23-year-old forward.
The game was halted for several minutes after Bournemouth’s Ghana international Semenyo reported the racist abuse.
“It’s totally unacceptable,” Bournemouth captain Adam Smith said. “Kind of in shock to be honest that it happened. In this day and age, it shouldn’t be happening.
“I don’t know how Ant’s played on to be honest and come up with those goals … Something has to be done. We’ll support him in there and hopefully, he’ll be OK.”
Hugo Ekitike was Liverpool’s headline act on a night of pure theatre at Anfield which was high on emotion and rich in thrilling drama, but was also played out under the shadow of allegations of racist abuse.
Ekitike might face a future fight for his place only weeks after making a £70m from Eintracht Frankfurt, with Newcastle United rebel Alexander Isak still on Liverpool’s agenda – but he stated his case eloquently with a superb individual display that made him an instant hero on The Kop.
Liverpool’s 4-2 win, secured with late goals from Federico Chiesa and Mohamed Salah, was packed with sub-plots – not all of them good. Indeed, the scoreline barely touches the sides of a chaotic night.
It all started with emotional tributes to Diogo Jota, the Liverpool striker killed in a car crash in July, along with his brother Andre Silva.
The Kop was adorned with banners paying tribute to Jota, including one for his family reading: ‘Anfield will always be your home. You’ll Never Walk Alone’ before a minute’s silence.
Jota was remembered in song throughout, with a rousing minute of applause after 20 minutes for the beloved striker who wore the number 20 shirt.
It was a night when Liverpool’s expensive transition was on display, with four Premier League newcomers including Ekitike and Florian Wirtz, as well as full-back pair Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez.
The scale of change is illustrated by the fact that, excluding the inaugural 1992-93 season, Liverpool are the first reigning champions to name as many as four Premier League debutants in their opening-day starting line-up.
Ekitike was the best of that quartet by a distance, throwing up a conundrum about how head coach Arne Slot will adapt should Liverpool return to Tyneside with a bid closer to the striker Newcastle rate at £150m.
Slot has barely used a strike pairing since he arrived at Liverpool, so it would be a change of gear to combine Ekitike and Isak should the latter arrive.
It may not quite beg the question of whether Liverpool actually need to make such a lavish outlay on another striker, but it will give Slot a conundrum to solve.

Brentford have agreed a club record deal worth up to £42.5m for Bournemouth forward Dango Ouattara.
The 23-year-old is set to travel to London on Friday to undergo a medical.
Sources close to Ouattara told BBC Sport he wanted to leave, having not had a prominent role at Vitality Stadium.
The Burkina Faso international scored nine goals in 37 appearances in all competitions for the Cherries last season.
Nottingham Forest previously held an interest in Ouattara, but they have agreed a £37.5m deal with Ipswich for England Under-21 winger Omari Hutchinson.
Brentford themselves had a £35m bid rejected by Ipswich for Hutchinson last month.

Bournemouth have completed the signing of French centre-back Bafode Diakite from Lille for £34.6m.
The 24-year-old will cost the Cherries an initial fee of £30.3m plus up to £4.3m in add-ons, which makes him Bournemouth’s second most expensive signing.
He made 31 Ligue 1 appearances last season as Lille finished fifth in the French top flight, and also played 10 times in the Champions League.
His arrival follows Illia Zabarnyi becoming the third key defender to leave Bournemouth during this transfer window when he joined Paris St-Germain on Tuesday.

Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain sign Ukraine international defender Illia Zabarnyi from Bournemouth.
Paris Saint-Germain have signed centre back Illia Zabarnyi from Premier League club Bournemouth on a five-year contract, with the 22-year-old becoming the French club’s first Ukrainian player in history.
Financial details were not disclosed but media reports on Tuesday said the transfer fee was worth about 63 million euros ($73m).
The Ukraine international was a key part of Bournemouth’s defensive lineup last season, making 36 appearances as the club achieved positive goal difference in a Premier League campaign for the first time, finishing ninth.
Zabarnyi is the latest Bournemouth defender to depart this summer after Dean Huijsen joined Real Madrid and Milos Kerkez signed for Liverpool.
“I’m very happy to join Paris Saint-Germain, the best club in the world, with the best project. I am here to give everything I have on the pitch and I’m looking forward to making my debut and meeting the fans,” Zabarnyi said in a statement.
Zabarnyi made his senior debut at his hometown club Dyanmo Kyiv before joining Bournemouth in January 2023 on a five-and-a-half year contract.
The English club awarded Zabarnyi, known for his aggressive defending and dominance in aerial duels, with a contract extension until 2029 after an impressive 2023-2024 campaign.
“We’re delighted to continue the strengthening of our squad with the signature of Illia Zabarnyi. Illia is a talented international player and a great professional. He will make a major contribution to everything that we are building long-term at Paris Saint-Germain,” PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi said.
Champions League winners PSG, who also lifted the Ligue 1 and French Cup titles last season, face Tottenham Hotspur for the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday.
The Parisians have also already had nine players nominated for this year’s Ballon d’OR award.
Bournemouth expected at least one defender to be sold this summer but to lose three has been a shock, according to sources inside the club.
Each move has been difficult to turn down, though, with such high fees on offer from three of the world’s biggest clubs.
But the lengthy negotiations with PSG have shown Bournemouth have been doing deals on their terms, albeit with an acceptance each player has wanted to take the next step in their career.
The Cherries, who more than tripled the £12.8m paid to sign Huijsen from Juventus six months earlier, did not expect his £50m release clause to be seen as value for money by suitors within a year.

The Canford scheme aims to create a new community focusing on family housing and social infrastructure.
The site will be located near Wimborne in Dorset, and it is thought to be prime real estate, according to W.H. White.
W.H White are behind the plans which were submitted to Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council (BCP).
The plans are to build 1200 new homes across the 230 hectares site, creating a characterful village which is architecturally striking which fits within the landscape.
In order to help ease the housing crisis currently taking hold of the UK, it has been reported that 40 per cent of the new buildings will be affordable homes.
What’s more, it will not be just a housing development, as the plans recognise the need for supporting infrastructure.
For example, there will be a community hub, flexible workspaces, community facilities, and a care home.
There will also be education and healthcare provision, as well as local infrastructure improvements to ease the pressure that would be placed on surrounding areas.
A total of 600 of the homes would be dedicated to first-time buyers, social rent and shared ownership schemes.
Scott Worsfold Associates were selected to create a complete design vision.
The plans for the site were was unanimously approved for a new sustainable community in March 2021 by the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council.
The land used to be a former quarry and golf course, and will now be made into a biodiverse community.
Current farmland is also earmarked to be turned into 90 hectares of publicly available green space with new habitats and allotments.
The proposal has garnered support from various stakeholders, including Dorset Chamber and Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership, who emphasise the economic benefits and job creation potential of the development.
However there has been some backlash to the proposals.
It was reported that there were critics to the plan due to concerns regarding the potential impact on existing infrastructure, traffic congestion, and highway safety, particularly concerning access to the site from Blandford Road.
Some were also concerned about the proximity to existing facilities like Lockyer’s Middle School, which could cause longterm disruption.
Ward councillor for Bearwood and Merley, Richard Burton, said: “We’ve had a lot of development in Bearwood and therefore I know my residents will be very worried about this because of the impact it could have.”
However, he said the scheme is in the very early stages and this scoping application does not mean the local authority is supporting it.
“From a political point of view, I do totally understand that we need more affordable housing in BCP, but just choosing the easiest places to build, which is currently Green Belt, isn’t the way forward and it’s not sustainable,” said Cllr Burton.
W.H. White said there would be a commitment to low carbon construction with solar energy, ground source heating and opportunities for localised renewable energy.
A spokesperson for W.H. White said: “The current shortfall in housing supply, combined with well-documented viability challenges of delivering homes on urban land, has prompted renewed interest in strategic and deliverable opportunities such as at Canford Village.”
BCP Council previously said it would soon initiate a new call for potential development sites in the conurbation as part of ongoing efforts to deliver new homes.
Cllr Millie Earl, leader of BCP Council, previously said: “It is important that we balance our future development priorities whilst protecting the beautiful area that we live in and the precious natural environment we are so lucky to have.”

But there are ways to drive down the cost of your weekly shop, starting with help through the Household Support Fund (HSF).
The £742million fund has been shared between councils in England who then decide how to allocate their share.
Some are directing cash payments to residents in need while others are distributing supermarket vouchers to cover the summer holidays.
We’ve rounded up what some local authorities are offering below.
We won’t have covered all the councils offering help, so if your local authority isn’t included it’s worth checking with it to see what you are eligible for.
Most councils have pages on their websites dedicated to the Household Support Fund where you’ll find details on who is eligible and what you’re in line for.

That said, below are some of the councils offering qualifying households supermarket vouchers.
Schools in Bracknell are automatically distributing supermarket vouchers to children registered for free school meals.
These vouchers have been paid for through Bracknell Forest Council’s allotment of the Household Support Fund.
The council has not confirmed how much the vouchers are worth.
Wakefield Metropolitan District Council is issuing supermarket vouchers worth £50 to families receiving council tax support.
The vouchers are being issued via letters on July 21 and take up to seven days to arrive.
Full instructions on how to redeem the vouchers will be included in the letters.
Once the voucher has been redeemed, it doesn’t have to be used all at once and can be used several times until it is spent.
Nottingham City Council is distributing £75 supermarket vouchers to households each month until March 2026.
There is a limit on the number of vouchers being shared each month meaning you have to act fast to claim one.
Applications for this month’s vouchers opened on July 7 so may all have been allocated for July.
Nottingham City Council has said the dates applications for vouchers will open between August and next March will be confirmed “later in July”.
Ealing Council is giving supermarket vouchers worth £90 to families with children on benefits-related free school meals this month.
The vouchers are worth £90 per child meaning you could get £180 if you have two kids.
You don’t need to apply for the vouchers as they are being sent automatically to emails or as letters.
The council’s partner, Blackhawk, is issuing a 16-digit personalised code and instructions on how to redeem the vouchers on the Blackhawk website – ealingcouncil.select-your-reward.co.uk.
Devon County Council has issued supermarket vouchers worth more than £90 to 22,000 families with children on free school meals.
The £90 is equivalent to £15 per week for the six week school holiday.
The council has said the vouchers can be redeemed in major supermarkets but hasn’t said which ones.
Portsmouth City Council is issuing £50 supermarket vouchers to children on benefits-related free school meals.
You might also be eligible if your child is not on free school meals and you’re on a low income, and can apply for the vouchers from the end of the school term.
You can also forward your email address to the council and will be contacted when the application window opens.

Families on free school meals are eligible for supermarket food vouchers being distributed by schools in the area.

Bournemouth have completed the £25m signing of Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.
The Serb, who joined Chelsea from New England Revolution in a £14m deal in 2023, spent last season on loan at French club Strasbourg.
The 25-year-old was named player of the season as Strasbourg secured a Europa Conference League spot by finishing seventh in Ligue 1.
Petrovic is Bournemouth’s third signing of the summer and joins on a five-year contract.
“I came to Bournemouth because I want to grow and I want to play at the best level,” said Petrovic.
“Together with this club, with these facilities, I think we can achieve it. I want to help the team get the results, improve every day and be a better player.”
Petrovic, who has seven Serbia caps, made 23 Premier League appearances for Chelsea across two seasons.
He is likely to become Bournemouth’s first-choice goalkeeper after Kepa Arrizabalaga returned to Chelsea.
