FANCY staying in a top rated spot? Well, the best hotels, inns and B&Bs in the UK have just been named.

AA has announced the winners of its 2026 Hospitality Awards including the AA Hotel of the Year and AA B&B of the Year.

Coming out on top as the AA Hotel of the Year in England is the Calcot & Spa, Tetbury, Gloucestershire.

Spread across 220 acres, Calcot & Spa is a country house hotel, around four miles from Tetbury in the Cotswolds.

It dates back to the 14th century and is surrounded by wildflower meadows.

The hotel boasts around 35 individually designed bedrooms, that are contemporary but also retain the building’s historical charm.

The AA Hotel of the Year in Scotland was named as Crossbasket Castle in High Blantyre, while in Wales it was Porth Tocyn Hotel in Abersoch, Gwynedd.

In Northern Ireland, Culloden Estate & Spa in Holywood, County Down nabbed the top spot.

There is also an AA Hotel of the Year for London, which was The Emory.

When it came to the AA B&B of the Year, Lys-Na-Greyne, Aboyne, Aberdeenshire secured the award.

The B&B features six rooms with en-suites and there is also a lounge, conservatory and gardens for guests to explore.

The B&B also sits in the Cairngorms National Park making it the perfect spot for those who want to explore Royal Deeside by hiking, fishing and biking,

And for a slightly further afield day trip, Balmoral Castle is only a 20-minute drive away.

If you want to pamper yourself, visit Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa, St Andrews in Fife, which won AA Spa Hotel of the Year.

The spa at the hotel is one of Europe’s top spa facilities, with a number of hydrotherapy treatments and a 20-metre indoor swimming pool.

There’s even a rooftop hot tub.

The Penny Bun, Otley, West Yorkshire took the award for AA Inn of the Year.

And last but not least, the AA Restaurant with Rooms of the Year award was given to House of George W. Davies, Broadway, Worcestershire.
