AN American rock band has canceled their remaining tour dates, with the frontman making a confession about the ‘hardest decision’ he had to make.

Earlier this month, The Dangerous Summer, which was formed in 2006, revealed their summer tour would expand into the fall – but this is not the case anymore.

Fans are gutted after learning that the band has unexpectedly canceled all of their remaining tour dates for the year.

Their frontman AJ Perdomo penned a touching statement about needing to step away from music for a while.

He penned, “There is no easy way to say this, but I am burning out from being on the road so often.

“It is the hardest decision in the world to make, but I have decided to cancel the remaining tour dates for the rest of the year.”

He added, “I need to go home and be a father, a fiancé, and a creative. I need to work on my life at home for a moment.

“I have the dreamer’s disease. Next year will be 20 years since this band has started.

“It has become such a large part of my existence, and how I value myself as an individual. I have been overworking to fill a hole in my heart that no amount of shows or success will be able to fill.”

Opening up further, AJ continued, “When I am standing up on stage singing a song like ‘What’s an hour really worth?’ I start to think about the life that is passing me by while I am away from home.

“It broke my heart to tell my band, my manager, and my team of agents—but they have been extremely supportive of my decision to take some time away from touring.”

Reassuring the band’s fans, AJ urged that this was not the end.

“This isn’t the end, and in fact, making new music is one of the driving factors in this decision,” he explained.

“Creating music is where my heart truly lies, and I need to get back to it.

“Please continue supporting live music, and the bands/venues that we had intended on hitting this fall/winter.

“Music and art need your support more than ever.”

Fans were quick to react to the sad news of the tour being canceled, but were understanding of AJ’s reasoning for doing so.

One fan replied to his post on X saying, “’ll speak for every fan and say take all the time you need! Cherish those moments with your fam and we’ll see you again later.”

A second added, “That sucks but totally understand AJ. Do what you need to do and see ya back on stage at some point.”

While a third wrote, “Much love and respect, AJ. Enjoy the time with your family.”

The Dangerous Summer had a “messy breakup” before reuniting.

They were initially together from 2006 until 2014 when they disbanded.

They then reunited in 2017.

When the band was not together, AJ had settled into a more lowkey lifestyle.

He had gotten into the groove of raising his daughter with his wife in L.A, as per a report three years ago.

“I loved the life I created,” AJ told Metro Times in 2022, adding, “I kind of loved having a nine-to-five. You know, the grass is greener.”

Hostage promises to keep audiences glued to their seats

Julie Delpy, one of the stars of Netflix‘s forthcoming thriller Hostage, has given an insight into her role in the five-part series, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The Hollywood actress portrays French President Vivienne Toussaint, a character who veers increasingly to the right in an attempt to placate her adversaries and maintain her grip on power in the brand-new series.

Reflecting on the strains endured by actual politicians, the Before Sunset star confessed she would never venture into politics.

At a recent London screening of Hostage, the 55 year old French-American star told media outlets including Reach Screen Time: “I guess there’s a lot of pressure from outside, people who are pressuring [those] who believe in something.”

The accomplished actress, writer and director went on to say: “[Politicians] know a lot of stuff they want to do is influenced probably by big businesses.

Regarding politicians compromising their principles to hold onto power, Delpy remarked: “Also, I think if you have ethics as a human being and you become a powerful person, who has to do things that are against what they believe in, it must be heartbreaking sometimes.

Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen was faced with extreme weather

Channel 4 broadcast a repeat episode of Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids on Saturday evening.

The episode, which originally aired earlier this year from the second series, showed the farm facing harsh weather conditions as it became blanketed in snow, with the family struggling to safeguard their expectant sheep spread across the hillsides.

Clive expressed his worries about the snow, saying: “January and February were funny months, and anything can happen. That Beast from the East was quite nasty, the kids were little and we had no electric for a week.”

He continued: “You know, everybody gets a little bit of snow, but it can be absolutely unbelievable here, and you’ve got to be careful, otherwise it’ll have you out of business.”

Amanda shared her thoughts on the bitter snow conditions: “When that snow hits, it can be exhausting. It can be exhausting mentally and physically. Day one, day two, yeah, it is fun, day four, five, six, seven, and beyond, it is a real test.”, reports Gloucestershire Live.

Further into the programme, Amanda made a frank confession about farming, particularly during severe weather conditions.

Whilst caring for the horses, she revealed: “On a day like today, when you see that light shine through the window and you know that it’s icy and snowy out there, you don’t pull the duvet over your head; you’re like, ‘Let me at it’.”

She pondered: “Because that’s what you have to do. And I always think to myself, ‘the day that you don’t want to do that, you’ve got to quit’.”

Ferne McCann has been left ‘mind-blown’ by breastfeeding rates in the UK. The former TOWIE star, 35, has daughter Sunday, seven, with her ex Arthur Collins as well as two-year-old Finty with current partner Lorri Haines.

She has opted to keep breastfeeding her youngest, even though she is beyond the traditional age. The reality TV star decided to take action after discovering that UK has one of the ‘lowest’ rates of breastfeeding in the world, with many women choosing to feed their children via formula, having shared her own experience with it on social media with sets of candid images and received backlash from some followers, who she thinks may have believed she had the wrong ‘intentions’ with it all.

During an appearance on Wednesday’s This Morning, she told Andi Peters and Emma Willis: “Society, why people have such a problem with it, is breasts are over-sexualised and I think for other people, they found it very triggering because they felt that they had failed. It wasn’t to shame or to make anyone feel like they’d failed, and I had to make a decision. It’s such a small community, because the UK has the lowest rates of breastfeeding globally, which blows my mind.” It comes after Alex Jones fights back tears as her rarely-seen husband appears on The One Show.

The former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! contestant had opened up about how she wasn’t always feeling confident about breastfeeding herself, and how she had to find a new way to think about her breasts, and while she understands that some of her social media posts may appear ‘shocking’ to some, she is ‘proud’ of what she is doing to raise awareness and stamping out the stigmas.

She added: “I want to use my platform to show support because that’s the main reason that women don’t continue. It’s down to lack of education, and support, and confidence. I had to have that mindset shift when I began breastfeeding Sunday nearly eight years ago, and that relationship with my breasts.

“They then had to nurture my baby. You do have to dig deep, and find some confidence and that can be quite a daunting prospect. I think with every negative comment, there’s been 10 positive and that’s so hopeful. People want you to win.

“Community midwives want you to have a successful breastfeeding journey. It’s a really right network and everyone really praises I feel proud to share those visuals because, I get that it is shocking because the relationship that people have with breasts and so on, I feel proud, especially now that Finty is two, because it isn’t the norm. Bottle feeding is the norm.”

As it stands, in the UK, around 81% of mothers attempt breastfeeding immediately after birth but and just 1% are exclusively breastfed by the age of six months. Comparatively, a study in 2021, found that 56.7% of mothers in the US breastfed their babies beyond six months.

When it comes to the idea that Ferne is choosing to breastfeed her child beyond what is considered the normal period, she insisted that it was never intentional but that it all has to work on a case by case basis.

She added: “People are not used to saying a toddler or a pre-schooler breastfeeding. For me, I didn’t have a goal. With Sunday, it was different, and it was circumstances and I had to return back to work now I work from home, it’s more freeing. it’s more flexible for me.

“I didn’t plan to do it for two years. It’s so individual and it’s so relative. It’s our normal and I understand that it’s not everyone else’s but we’re just going with it.”

The Trump administration has frozen hundreds of science, medical and other federal grants to UCLA worth nearly $200 million, citing the university’s alleged “discrimination” in admissions and failure to “promote a research environment free of antisemitism.”

The decision to pull funding comes after Atty. Gen.Pam Bondi and the Justice Department said this week that UCLA would pay a “heavy price” for acting with “deliberate indifference” to the civil rights of Jewish and Israeli students who complained of antisemitic incidents since the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel, Israel’s ensuing war in Gaza and campus protests the events spurred last year.

The cancellation of grants is the first large-scale targeted funding claw-back against UCLA under the Trump administration. Until now, the White House has largely focused its attempts to remake higher education on elite East Coast schools such as Columbia, Brown and the University of Pennsylvania. Each has reached deals with the government in recent weeks over issues including admissions, Jewish student life, student discipline, antisemitism training and gender identity in sports.

In a letter to UCLA Chancellor Julio Frenk dated Wednesday, the National Science Foundation wrote that it was terminating grants because “the University of California – Los Angeles continues to engage in race discrimination including in its admissions process, and in other areas of student life.”

An estimated 300 NSF grants totaling $180 million have been canceled. About half of the funds were already distributed. Before the letter was released Thursday, researchers were expecting the other half to follow.

In a letter to the university community Thursday, Frenk wrote that the canceled grants are from NSF, NIH and other federal agencies, but he did not give a dollar amount or list the other agencies. A partial list of terminated grants reviewed by The Times added up to roughly $200 million. The list was provided by a source who was not authorized to share the information.

Frenk called the government’s decision “deeply disappointing” and “a loss for Americans across the nation whose work, health, and future depend on the groundbreaking work we do.”

“In its notice to us, the federal government claims antisemitism and bias as the reasons,” Frenk wrote. “This far-reaching penalty of defunding life-saving research does nothing to address any alleged discrimination.”

Spokespersons for the NSF and NIH did not immediately reply to requests for comment Thursday.

The federal government’s decision to cut UCLA off from significant federal funds follows a similar playbook to its dealings with Ivy League institutions.

The Trump administration this spring canceled billions of dollars in federal grants to Harvard, which has sued in federal court to reverse the terminations and stop a Trump move to rescind its ability to host international students. Harvard is separately in negotiations with the White House to end the legal fight.

Columbia University this month agreed to pay more than $200 million to the federal government to resolve investigations over alleged antisemitism amid its response to 2024 pro-Palestinian protests. On Wednesday, Brown University also came to a $50-million agreement with the White House. The Brown payment will go toward Rhode Island workforce development programs.

The Department of Justice said this week that it had found UCLA guilty of violating the civil rights of Jewish and Israeli students. The department also indicated that it wanted to the university to enter into negotiations to avoid a federal lawsuit.

The department gave UCLA a Tuesday deadline to communicate its desire to negotiate. If not, the DOJ said, it was ready to sue by Sept. 2.

The University of California, in a statement, was unclear on whether it would settle or go to court.

“UCLA has addressed and will continue to address the issues raised in [the] Department of Justice notice,” Stett Holbrook, associate director of Strategic and Critical Communications, wrote in a statement Wednesday. He cited a $6.45-million settlement the university reached with Jewish students who had sued over claims that the 2024 encampment had discriminated against them.

“We have cooperated fully with the Department of Justice’s investigation and are reviewing its findings closely,” Holbrook wrote.

In his Thursday letter, Frenk shot back against the cuts.

“Let me be clear: Federal research grants are not handouts. Our researchers compete fiercely for these grants, proposing work that the government itself deems vital to the country’s health, safety and economic future,” he wrote.

“Grants lead to medical breakthroughs, economic advancement, improved national security and global competitiveness — these are national priorities,” Frenk wrote, adding that “we are actively evaluating our best course of action. We will be in constant communication as decisions move forward.”

Keeley Hawes admitted, “I find them funny”, as she made a rare family admission.

The Bodyguard actor is set to star in Prime Video’s upcoming thriller series, The Assassin, which comes from The Tourist writers Harry and Jack Williams.

The six-part drama follows a retired assassin called Julie, played by Keeley, who has made a new life for herself on an idyllic Greek island.

However, when her estranged son, Edward (Freddie Highmore), turns up with questions about his father, Julie’s dangerous past soon catches up with her.

“With questions around Edward’s paternity and Julie’s past life as a hitwoman, the pair go on the run across Europe, working together in a fight for survival,” reads the official synopsis, reports the Express.

“Along the way, their dysfunctional relationship is tested to its limits. They uncover a dark conspiracy they believe to be their only threat, but a greater danger emerges that could destroy their relationship entirely.”

The description concludes: “In a race against time, Julie fights to save Edward and salvage their relationship as past and present collide in a showdown across the globe.”

Alongside Keeley and Freddie, the series also stars Shalom Brune-Franklin, Devon Terrell, Gina Gershon, Jack Davenport, Alan Dale, Richard Dormer and David Dencik.

Speaking to Reach and other press ahead of the show’s premiere, Keeley shared how her real-life parenting experiences helped inform her character Julie’s relationship with her son.

The 49-year-old actor shares 20-year-old daughter Maggie and 18-year-old son Ralph with her husband, Succession actor Matthew Macfadyen, and is also mum to 24-year-old Myles McCallum, whom she shares with her first husband, Spencer.

“I have two sons – three children, two sons… So, I can totally relate to it,” Keeley said.

“What I loved about it is quite often you see relationships on screen and it’s people getting along and they don’t feel particularly real. Whereas, this feels very honest, very authentic.”

Reflecting on her own home life, she added: “You know, you do get p***** off with each other when you have children, and they certainly get p***** off with me. There is quite a lot of sarcasm and my kids, I find them very funny so I really related to this and loved how truthful it felt.”

When discussing Julie and Edward’s dynamic, Keeley noted: “They’re brutal with each other a lot of the time, and those relationships that you have with your children, sometimes they’re the only people that you can be that brutal with, because they can’t get rid of you.

“It doesn’t matter what you say or what they say, so that’s what I took from it that was quite useful for me.”

Keeley went on to reveal that she is “great friends” with her eldest son, which she feels translates into Julie’s layered on-screen relationship with Edward.

“My oldest son is 25 next month… I was young when I had him,” she shared.

“I am his mother, I’m very much his mother but at the same time, we have a relationship that is not like siblings, but we’re great friends as well. And I think something similar has happened there.”

This Morning star Vanessa Feltz has made a sad admission after her split from her partner.

The 63-year-old broadcaster initially tied the knot with surgeon Michael Kurer back in 1983, before their marriage ended in divorce in 2000. Together they welcomed daughters Allegra and Saskia, and now have four grandchildren.

Vanessa later got engaged to musician Ben Ofoedu in 2006. Despite initially planning to wed the following year, the couple remained engaged throughout their time together without getting married.

In February 2023, Vanessa revealed that she and Ben had called time on their relationship.

Shortly after their separation, Vanessa opened up on This Morning about coping with the split, reports Wales Online.

“People have been amazing. Absolutely amazing, and of course it helps a lot,” she told presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby at the time.

“I can’t sleep at all, so reading thousands and thousands of messages from lovely people on Instagram is something to do in the night.”

She added: “When you have to end a relationship it’s very hard. I’ve had what feels like millions of messages from so, so many people going through it.

“I wouldn’t want to minimise in any way what it’s like when you’re heartbroken. It’s horrible.”

More than two years later, Vanessa has provided a fresh insight into her life post-split, where she made a sad admission.

During an interview with Radio Times, Vanessa was quizzed about who has control over the television remote in her household.

She candidly replied: “I live on my own these days. I’ve been out every night for two years and five months.

“There have only been maybe five nights where it’s been me in front of the TV with my dinner on a tray, because I don’t want to be at home, eating alone.”

Vanessa currently presents her self-titled Channel 5 daytime talk show, which was advertised as a rival to ITV favourite Loose Women.

Yet, the programme has come under fire recently, racking up nearly 2,000 Ofcom complaints following an episode that sparked controversy over allegedly “misleading” content regarding breastfeeding.

WASHINGTON — A federal judge Friday blocked the Trump administration’s efforts to keep Harvard University from hosting international students, delivering the Ivy League school another victory as it challenges multiple government sanctions amid a battle with the White House.

The order from U.S. District Judge Allison Burroughs in Boston preserves Harvard’s ability to host foreign students while the case is decided, but it falls short of resolving all of Harvard’s legal hurdles to hosting international students. Notably, Burroughs said the federal government still has authority to review Harvard’s ability to host international students through normal processes outlined in law.

Harvard sued the Department of Homeland Security in May after the agency abruptly withdrew the school’s certification to host foreign students and issue paperwork for their visas, skirting most of its usual procedures. The action would have forced Harvard’s roughly 7,000 international students — about a quarter of its total enrollment — to transfer or risk being in the U.S. illegally. New foreign students would have been barred from coming to Harvard.

The university said it was experiencing illegal retaliation for rejecting the White House’s demands to overhaul Harvard policies related to campus protests, admissions, hiring and more. Burroughs temporarily had halted the government’s action hours after Harvard sued.

Less than two weeks later, in early June, President Trump tried a new strategy. He issued a proclamation to block foreign students from entering the U.S. to attend Harvard, citing a different legal justification. Harvard challenged the move, saying the president was attempting an end run around the temporary court order. Burroughs temporarily blocked Trump’s proclamation as well. That emergency block remains in effect, and the judge did not address the proclamation in her order Friday.

“We expect the judge to issue a more enduring decision in the coming days,” Harvard said Friday in an email to international students. “Our Schools will continue to make contingency plans toward ensuring that our international students and scholars can pursue their academic work to the fullest extent possible, should there be a change to student visa eligibility or their ability to enroll at Harvard.”

Students in limbo

The stops and starts of the legal battle have unsettled current students and left others around the world waiting to find out whether they will be able to attend America’s oldest and wealthiest university.

The Trump administration’s efforts to stop Harvard from enrolling international students have created an environment of “profound fear, concern, and confusion,” the university said in a court filing. Countless international students have asked about transferring from the university, Harvard immigration services director Maureen Martin said.

Still, admissions consultants and students have indicated most current and prospective Harvard scholars are holding out hope they’ll be able to attend the university.

For one prospective graduate student, an admission to Harvard’s Graduate School of Education had rescued her educational dreams. Huang, who asked to be identified only by her surname for fear of being targeted, had seen her original doctoral offer at Vanderbilt University rescinded after federal cuts to research and programs related to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Harvard stepped in a few weeks later with a scholarship she couldn’t refuse. She rushed to schedule her visa interview in Beijing. More than a month after the appointment, despite court orders against the Trump administration’s policies, she still hasn’t heard back.

“Your personal effort and capability means nothing in this era,” Huang said in a social media post. “Why does it have to be so hard to go to school?”

An ongoing battle

Trump has been warring with Harvard for months after the university rejected a series of government demands meant to address conservative complaints that the school has become too liberal and has tolerated anti-Jewish harassment. Trump administration officials have cut more than $2.6 billion in research grants, ended federal contracts and threatened to revoke Harvard’s tax-exempt status.

On Friday, the president said in a post on social media that the administration has been working with Harvard to address “their largescale improprieties” and that a deal with Harvard could be announced within the next week. “They have acted extremely appropriately during these negotiations, and appear to be committed to doing what is right,” the post said.

The Trump administration first targeted Harvard’s international students in April. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem demanded that Harvard turn over a trove of records related to any dangerous or illegal activity by foreign students. Harvard says it complied, but Noem said the response fell short and on May 22 revoked Harvard’s certification in the Student and Exchange Visitor Program.

The sanction immediately put Harvard at a disadvantage as it competed for the world’s top students, the school said in its lawsuit, and it harmed Harvard’s reputation as a global research hub. “Without its international students, Harvard is not Harvard,” the lawsuit said.

The action would have upended some graduate schools that recruit heavily from abroad. Some schools overseas quickly offered invitations to Harvard’s students, including two universities in Hong Kong.

Harvard President Alan Garber previously said the university has made changes to combat antisemitism. But Harvard, he said, will not stray from its “core, legally-protected principles,” even after receiving federal ultimatums.

Conor, who was originally coupled up with Toni now only has eyes for Emily, and after a kiss on the terrace they decided to spend the night together in the hideaway. However, fans all issued the same complaint as they were left “disgusted”.

The new couple continued their smooching session in the hideaway – but fans weren’t best impressed with the noises coming from the mic.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “i need them to turn off the mic when they kiss…” as another exclaimed: “I CANT DEAL WITH THE KISSING NOISES #loveisland!”

Emily and Conor then told the rest of the Islanders they’d shared a kiss in the hideaway – but Conor took it one step too far when he revealed he had an erection “for three hours”.

“Conor bruh we didn’t need to know that #LoveIsland,” said one along with a sick faced emoji, as another said: “conor some things should be kept to ourself!!#loveisland.”

It’s been a dramatic few days in the Love Island villa as the bombshells continue to cause a stir. Malisha and Meg clashed from the off, as Malisha took a shining to Dejon – and the feelings were reciprocated.

The two engaged in a number of disagreements – but in the end it seemed like they had made up as during tonight’s episode they pinky promised no more arguments. It came after it was revealed that Dejon had devised a game plan with Harry and Shea in last night’s challenge to make sure he got to kiss Malisha.

He wasn’t the only one in hot water however, as Harry and the boys made sure he had a kiss with Shakira, who he was previously coupled up with. 30-year-old Harry is now coupled up with Helena but declared he had “unfinished business” with ex Shakira.

It was Shea who got the brunt of the “gameplaying” however, as he told Harry and Dejon to make sure he kissed Megan – who Tommy is happily coupled up with. Tommy confronted Shea about how he wasn’t best pleased with the move – and it appeared the pair had put things behind them.

However, when the two were about to part ways – it seemed things got heated once more as the two engaged in a fiery argument – with Tommy calling Shea a “lanky lamppost”.
