One player’s actions in the game had some devastating consequences

Beast Games stars have been left fighting back tears as they slammed a brutal deception carried out by their teammate.
A brand new season of the popular games show has returned to Prime Video this month as players battle it out in the hopes of winning a huge cash prize.
The game begins with 100 of the world’s strongest people, and 100 of the world’s smartest. However, only 100 people made it to the Beast City and the group continues to get smaller. Only one person can be crowned the 2026 champion and take home a life changing sum of $5,000,000 (£3.7m).
Prime Video teases: “After a record-shattering first season, Beast Games is back! Bigger, bolder, and more intense than ever. Mr Beast has assembled 100 of the planet’s strongest competitors and 100 of the world’s smartest minds.
“Strong vs. Smart will battle for an eye-watering $5,000,000 prize. As players face off in the ultimate collision of brain and biceps; alliances will form and trust will break. Every challenge pushes the limits of human strength, intelligence and strategy. What wouldn’t you do for $5,000,000?”
With four episodes now available to watch on Prime Video, fans will have to wait until next week to find out more due to a weekly release. The new series is set to come to an end on February 25 with Episode 10.
Last week’s instalment ended on a nail-biting cliffhanger when the remaining 25 contestants, split into teams of five, were facing a life-changing bribe. The captains of each team were presented with a cash offer of $1m, should they accept, they get to stay in the game and keep the cash – but their teammates are sent home.
Last season no captain took the bribe, but with the stakes higher than ever, we learn that at least one player took the bribe, deceiving their team.
Today’s episode (January 14), opened with the revelation of who pressed the button – and it was player 126, JT, who stunned his fellow contestants. His team were the most surprised, with Mia saying: “That’s crazy.”
When asked if they were expecting the brutal deception, they admitted they weren’t, having full faith in JT. Addressing JT, an annoyed Mia said: “JT, you slimy…
“I’d have gave you some money if you were that desperate. You look real bad in front of God…”
Turning her back on her former teammate, she continued: “You look super bad. We don’t respect you no more, I don’t got nothing to say to you.”
Fellow teammate Luke added: “JT, you gave your word and it was for sale, that really hurts. More than the money it hurts that you broke your word. It hurts that you lied to us.”

JT replied: “I don’t really got much to say”, as the camera shoots back to an emotional Luke who can be seen wiping away tears. JT added: “I know the rest of the teams probably won’t talk to me moving forward, no-one really wants to hear from me. I have to live with that decision.
“I’m sorry to my pink team. I did it for my family who means the world to me.”
Fighting back his tears, Luke commented: “It was the lie, it was the lie that hurts more than anything else.”
Today’s instalment also saw the highly anticipated Survivor crossover episode as 10 lucky players all battle it out in the hopes of winning a $1.8m luxury island.
