While she initially coupled up with Tommy, she later moved on to hunky rugby player Conor.

However, fellow returnee Blu introduced new drama into the couple’s dynamic.

He told Conor how Megan had been flirting with Tommy during her time away from the villa.

In addition, how she had allegedly been annoyed seeing Tommy move on with Casa bombshell Lucy.

Taking to TikTok, former Love Island star Jessy Potts has hit back at the claims.

She said in a video: “Why is Blu getting involved about the outside and Megan being annoyed about Tommy.

“I went on that trip with Irish Meg and she was talking about Conor the entire time.

“Blu, why are you in here babe? Go home.”

Meanwhile, Jessy soon got her wish – as Blu and Helena were axed in a brutal dumping.

Their exits immediately followed the Love Island talent show – which saw all Islanders take part.

Helena won for her air hostess-inspired “No Good Airlines” routine, which took playful jabs at her co-stars.

One viewer wrote on X: “Helena being dumped right after winning the talent show ?? …. these producers.”

Another penned: “Producers making Meg read out that Helena was dumped.”

A third chimed in: “helena and blu being dumped looks like i’m going to be watching aftersun tor the first time this season.”

Love Island fans baffled as Islanders ‘break biggest villa rule’ with zero consequences

Love Island fans were left shocked during tonight’s episode as Blu and Megan discussed what had been going on in the outside world – something which is usually banned on the show

Things got personal in last night’s Love Island as the Couple Goals challenge allowed the Islanders to air all their dirty laundry. Tonight things escalated as the Islanders discussed the outside world – which is usually strictly against the rules.

As we know, Megan and Blu re-joined the villa after being booted out weeks ago, and during tonight’s episode Blu spilled all on the outside world, despite Islanders usually having to be shut off from the outside world.

“You know how much I love Megan but I just feel like the first time Megan came in compared to this time is completely different,” Dejon told Blu and Harry, as he continued to drop some home truths.

During her first stint in the villa, Megan formed a connection with Tommy before dumping him for Conor. Blu then revealed that Megan was left “fuming” after seeing Lucy and Tommy in Tape. Conor then confronted Megan about the ongoings, as she admitted they shared a few flirty texts.

However, fans were left baffled that the Islanders had been allowed to speak about the outside world, as one penned: “are they allowed to talk about the outside world like this? Blu is working overtime to get that screentime!”

A second wrote: “Why would they allow Blu to reveal how the public feels?? It goes against the whole point of contestants not allowed contact with the outside world.”

“So the producer are just gonna allow Bly to talk about what happening on the outside??!??????!! Hmmh kinda beat the point of the concept on show having no contact with the outside world….but does kinda cause drama but still.”

Elsewhere, the Islanders had their biggest fallout yet. Last night, during the Couple Goals challenge, the Islanders were asked which couple they thought were the most fake, and the answers caused a stir. Meg and Dejon chose Harry and Shakira, as Meg announced: “I feel like Shakira, you’ve made some very hurtful comments to me that we’re not very nice and I’ve always been there for you.”

Tonight, the arguments continued, as the Islanders were asked: “Which couple are you most scared to give your honest opinion on?”

Shakira and Harry choose Meg and Dejon, as Meg told to Shakira, “I think if people were honest in the first place and told us to our faces instead of saying it constantly behind our back, it would be a different story.”

However, Shakira wasn’t having any of it, as she responded: “You throwing around the fake word is rich to be honest. I don’t know why you keep acting like we’re the best of mates in here. From day one, you were very standoffish with any girl that was posed as a threat.”

The argument continued to escalate as Meg told Shakira she wouldn’t be her friend on the outside. “I will never speak to you on the outside. I honestly can’t stand you sometimes,” Shakira responded.

Will the girls make up?

Love Island star’s parent makes plea to villa after ‘smiling assassins’ dig

Love Island viewers saw family and friends of the islanders enter the villa in tonight’s episode following the latest recoupling, and one parent had a message for the group

A parent issued a plea to the islanders in the Love Island villa during a reunion on tonight’s episode of the reality TV show. Dejon Noel-Williams’ mother Demelza shared her thoughts on the dynamic among the islanders upon her arrival.

Friends and family of the remaining islanders headed into the villa in Majorca for the latest episode of the ITV2 show. It came following the latest recoupling, which saw Meg Moore and Dejon remain together once again, with them having been coupled up since the start of the series.

Meg was reunited with her mother Nathalie and older sister Paige earlier, whilst Dejon got to see his mum Demelza and his sister Gene in scenes that aired this evening. Although Meg’s family had concerns over the relationship, Dejon’s family were supportive.

Demelza even warned Meg about the other girls in the villa. She said: “I just want to say that these girls are not your friends.” After her sister agreed, Meg said: “Yeah, I’ve seen it.” Demelza appeared to then say: “Smiling assassins!”

Later, as she was leaving the villa, Demelza told all the islanders to be mindful of what they say because everyone’s families are watching back home. She told the islanders: “Guys, just remember you’ve got loved ones outside.”

Demelza continued by saying that she felt that some people’s behaviours and comments had already been “quite hurtful”. She instead encouraged them to “just have fun” in the last week ahead of the upcoming final next Monday.

Sharing her thoughts, Demelza said: “That’s all I want to say and some of the things you’re doing and saying is quite hurtful. So just be mindful that all of you have got loved ones watching. Take that into the last week and just have fun.”

She wasn’t the only relative to feel that way. Following Demelza’s comments to the islanders, Meg’s sister Paige, who was also about to leave the villa after the reunion, added: “Just love. Positive. Everyone be nice to each other!”

As well as Meg and Dejon remaining together, the latest recoupling also saw Yasmin Pettet and Jamie Rhodes stay coupled up. It however also saw several islanders enter different couplings than they had been in previously.

Conor Phillips is now coupled-up with Megan Forte Clarke, whilst Toni Laites was chosen by Cach Mercer in the recoupling ceremony that aired on Sunday night. Ty Isherwood and Angel Swift are another new couple in the villa.

Harry Cooksley choose to couple up with Shakira Khan rather than Helena Ford, who is now paired up with Blu Chegini instead. It comes following a love triangle, with Harry expressing interest in both Shakira and Helena over the last few weeks.

After most recently being coupled up with Helena, he told Shakira in last night’s episode that he was either leaving with her or without her. Viewers also saw Helena end things with Harry, with her telling him that she had broken her heart with his behaviour in the villa, prompting an apology.

He then had to make a choice in the episode once the recoupling arrived. Harry, who was faced with Shakira and Helena as his options, said: “I’d like to couple up with this girl because she possesses qualities I see in a long-term partner.”

Harry added: “Think I’ve sat on a lot of feelings and buried a lot of my emotions recently, and two conversations brought that all back to the surface. I think I’ve disappointed myself. Disappointed people in here. […] I want to be a better person for myself and this girl.”

He said: “The feelings were always there, I just chose to ignore them. As I said to this girl yesterday, I’m either leaving here alone or I’m leaving here with her.” He then chose Shakira, which left Blu with Helena as his only choice.

Love Island continues tomorrow night from 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

‘Love Island’s’ JaNa Craig, Kenny Rodriguez breakup

JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez have gone from “Love Island” to Splitsville.

The pair of reality TV stars who kindled a romance last year on “Love Island” Season 6 have called it quits, The Times confirmed Monday. Craig broke up with Rodriguez on Sunday, a day after they were among the guests at YouTube star David Dobrik‘s birthday party.

“They will not be getting back together,” a source confirmed to People.

A representative for Craig declined to comment. The Times did not immediately hear back from Rodriguez.

Though Craig and Rodriguez fell short of winning their season last year (fellow contestants Kordell Beckham and Serena Page took the prize), the pair continued their relationship off-screen. Craig opened up about her relationship with Rodriguez to People in October 2024, telling the magazine that time away from the cameras meant “we can take our time.”

“We always forgot that there was cameras anyways so nothing’s really changed,” she said at the time.

Craig and Rodriguez’s relationship came back into the “Love Island” spotlight earlier this month for Peacock’s “Love Island: Beyond the Villa.” The series, which premiered July 13, follows the Season 6 contestants “as they navigate new careers, evolving friendships, newfound fame, and complex relationships,” according to a press release for the show.

Right before the premiere of “Love Island: Beyond the Villa,” fans bid farewell to “Love Island” Season 7 — which was notably marred by controversy. Two contestants — Yulissa Escobar and Cierra Ortega — left the series weeks apart after they came under fire for their off-air use of racial slurs.

The season ended with contestants Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales taking home the $100,000 grand prize.

Love Island fans reel as Harry and Emma openly ‘expose villa game plan’

The wife swap continued on tonight’s Love Island – as Harry made a shock U-Turn and asked his ex Emma if she was tempted to spend time with him in the Hideaway…

It’s hard to keep up with the Love Island couples, as tonight the ‘wife swap’ continued. In the biggest twist yet, Harry and his ex-girlfriend Emma appeared to begin the rekindling process. Now, fans are certain it was their game plan all along.

The couple had been together for four years prior to their arrivals into the villa, and Harry got the shock of his life when his ex turned up at Casa Amor. They both made it clear that there was no chance of them getting back together, although tonight it looks like they may have had a change of heart…

Teasing, Harry asked Emma: “Would you have gone to the Hideaway with me last night?” as she responded: “You’re getting bored and you’re looking to stir the pot,” before hinting at a reunion.

Emma then went on to express her disapproval of Harry’s relationship with Helena, as she told him: “I don’t think people see you and her as the real deal… no one really sees you as end game or that you’re going to work on the outside… Everyone thinks you’ve taken the path of least resistance because perhaps you don’t feel like you can step up to the ones you really want.”

A sneaky Harry then tells Emma that ‘no one compares’ to her – and what he said next shocked fans. “I can’t compare anyone to you, of course I love you, I’m going to always have love for you. We’ve known each other for a very long time,” he said.

“Did we really come on Love Island to get back together?” However, their chat didn’t stay secret for long – as Emma told Helena she doesn’t see them lasting on the outside. She didn’t stop there however, telling Helena she didn’t see them lasting on the outside.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Harry and Emma began to joke about what they’d do “if they win” the whole show – leaving many fans to believe they had a game plan all along.

Fans were left in utter shock over Harry’s words, as one penned: “Wtf am I currently watching ??? Is Harry ok??? Is Emma ok ???” as another shocked fan said: “Wait Emma and Harry fully just spoke about their plan to win on camera. Could they be the ones that got dumped?”

“Emma and harry openly talking about gameplaying to the public is crazy!” exclaimed another. “Nah, did they hold hands then?!” questioned another shocked fan.

“Wait is Emma gameplanning a rekindle??????” questioned another, while another said: “Harry/Emma deffo playing a game together in here they both want each other clearly.”

Another fan predicted: “Emma and Harry will hookup once the show is over! They both ain’t over it.”

Love Island fans ‘rumble’ savage twist as Angel enters villa – and it’s bad news for one

If tonight’s episode of Love Island wasn’t dramatic enough, viewers were informed that new bombshell Angel was on the way – and she’s sure to bring even more drama to the villa

The Love Island villa is about to descend into even more chaos as new bombshell Angel is set to join the mix – and fans think she comes with a savage twist.

Her arrival was teased at the end of today’s dramatic episode – and she’s not scared to shake things up. The 26-year-old Aesthetics Practitioner & Salon Owner who hails from Maidenhead isn’t looking to play games, as she’s headed to Mallorca to find the one.

“I’m ready to get into a relationship as I’ve been single for a year, so ready to make memories with someone, go travelling with them and fall in love,” she said. Although she’s willing to get to know everyone, Angel revealed her eyes are firmly on Ty. “I’d like to get to know Ty and see what he’s about,” she said.

Angel’s arrival comes at a great time for the Casa Amor bombshell – who was recently dumped by his partner Shakira. The two were voted most compatible by the public, but just moments after, Shakira revealed that she felt like she had more of a connection with Conor – as the two explored their connection.

However, fans are convinced her arrival means one of the Islanders will be sent packing.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter at the end of the episode, one fan penned: “Is it gonna be whoever Angel chooses goes home,” while another thought her arrival would mean an exit for one of the girls.

“I will hate to see Shakira and Toni leave if she steals either Harrison or Connor though yikes!!!!!” said a second. “Can see a girl getting dumped. Producers literally making us rage!!” agreed a third.

Despite her first choice being one of the single Islanders, Angel revealed she has no problem in splitting up a couple if she has to.

“That is what’s going to happen so it’s quite exciting really. That’s what I’m in there for,” she said.

However, the new bombshell insists she doesn’t want to fallout with any of the girls, exclaiming she’s “a girls girl.”

“I’m a girl’s girl so I will get on with them all really well. I’m looking forward to getting ready with them all in the dressing room. My suitcase is about to be raided! I’ve got so much new stuff,” she said.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

Essay: ‘Love Island USA’ crowned its first Latino couple. Here’s why that matters

We won! Or, at least those of us who were rooting for Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales to take home the prize on Season 7 of “Love Island USA.”

After a blockbuster season with its fair share of controversy, the 25-year-old nurse from New York City and the 28-year-old accountant, bartender and real estate agent from Boston, respectively, walked out of the villa $100,000 richer and became the first Latino couple to win “Love Island.” In a time when many Latinos in the U.S. are being inundated with threats to our safety and freedom, this example of a mutual, fun and respectful Latino love is an indulgent little triumph for us all.

The dating show became appointment viewing for millions of fans, including myself, with new episodes dropping almost nightly as the show airs in near real time. “Love Island” — which launched in the U.K. in 2015 and has since spawned several international versions — confines single hotties in a Fijian villa, where they must explore romantic connections and couple up with each other to remain on the show. Viewers and cast members known as “islanders” vote regularly to decide which contestants or couples must pack up their swimsuits and go home. As with most reality TV, there’s messiness, drama, silliness and sexiness that keeps viewers glued to their screens, and we clock in for our shift at the island mines with dedication.

Espinal, a self-described “Dominican Cinderella,” entered the villa as a “bombshell,” a cast addition meant to stir things up for the original couples. Meanwhile, her Prince Charming, Arenales, who is Puerto Rican and Guatemalan, came in during the Casa Amor segment of the show, when islanders are separated by gender and introduced to hot new cast members vying for their attention.

The two coupled up several episodes after meeting in Casa Amor, igniting a romance in large part over a shared understanding of their cultures. Being super hot probably didn’t hurt either, but it was seeing Arenales stand up for our sweet Amaya Papaya against a pile-on from his fellow male islanders that sealed the deal — not just for Espinal, but for the viewers, in particular Latinx ones.

Espinal’s rough start on the series reflected the cultural valleys that exist between Latinos and their non-Latino counterparts in the United States, which can generally make for a tricky dating experience. Three of the male contestants she coupled up with expressed discomfort with her personality and bold manner of expressing herself. It started with a blowup with contestant Ace Greene after he vocalized his discomfort with Espinal touching him and using terms of endearment, in particular the word “babe.”

The same issue came up when she coupled up with Austin Shepard and Zak Srakaew, who took issue with Espinal “moving too fast” by acting overly romantic (on a show called “Love Island,” mind you). This was despite her explaining that in Dominican culture terms like “mi vida,” “mi amor” and “babe” are common terms of endearment, and asking if it was OK that she use them. (Both agreed it was fine.)

Espinal certainly lost her cool — in most cases, I would argue, rightfully so — and regularly became emotional, struggling with feeling misunderstood and attacked. Still, she defended herself with confidence and strength from those who seemed intent on painting her as erratic, intense, pushy and aggressive. During a game in which islanders wrote letters to air out any grievances, she offered them a simple option: “I’m just not your cup of tea to be drinkin’, so don’t f—ing drink it.”

It was during that game in which Greene, Shepard and Srakaew went in on Espinal that Arenales stepped in to defend her, explaining what Espinal had long been saying: Those terms of endearment are common in Latino households. “You’re telling her to meet you halfway,” he said. “You gotta meet her halfway too.”

Arenales gallantly stepping up to support Espinal against a social firing squad sparked a flame between the two. Fan votes showed this moment to be a turning point for Espinal, who became a favorite. It doesn’t hurt that her nurturing personality and adorable zaniness make her very easy to root for.

Seeing Arenales voice his appreciation for who she is and understanding her background — and Espinal herself refusing to change parts of her personality that she views as the strengths of an “emotional gangsta” — made their coupling a powerful display of Latino love. Those two crazy kids just get each other!

“This is just a message to everyone out there who’s misunderstood: Nobody should be tamed and there’s always someone out there for you who’s going to love you for you and appreciate all your craziness,” Espinal told host Ariana Madix after their win was announced. “Don’t ever settle for nobody.”

This was an especially lovely and important win after this season was marred by a racism scandal in which two Latina islanders were found to have used racial slurs online and in a podcast.

As much as Espinal may have felt misunderstood, Espinal is not a difficult person. There’s no need to decipher her because it’s not that complicated, regardless of her cultural identity. From everything I saw on the show, she showed a tremendous amount of character and kindness. She just didn’t put up with B.S. from guys who were trying to diminish her, call her irrational and insinuate she was clingy. Amaya Papaya always stood on business.

I love that Espinal found someone who sees and appreciates her in Arenales. And judging by their win, she found that in innumerable people who voted for them as well. But there’s nothing anyone should struggle to understand about her.

Yes, parts of her behavior are informed by her culture — but yelling at a man who is trying to make you seem crazy is a universal experience we should all partake in.

Love Island star divides viewers after tense ‘TV gold’ moment as row erupts in villa

Love Island viewers reacted to a scene involving Andrada Pop and Meg Moore on tonight’s episode of the ITV2, with the two islanders seen in a tense exchange in the villa

Love Island viewers were divided over an islander on the latest episode, with some suggesting that they had made a mark on the reality TV show. Others weren’t impressed though following tension in the villa after movie night.

The latest episode of the ITV2 show included the aftermath of Meg Moore having been given a glimpse into Dejon Noel-Williams’ relationship with Andrada Pop whilst he was in Casa Amor. The situation left Meg upset and she confronted Dejon, whom she recently became ‘exclusive’ with.

Later in the evening, Meg and Dejon were seen in a tense discussion inside the Love Island villa. Andrada, who is coupled-up with Ben Holbrough, appeared to be listening from a room nearby as she told some of her co-stars: “Shh shh.”

Meg later heard about it and confronted Andrada. She told her: “Don’t be in here saying ‘shush’ to hear my conversation with D.” Andrada was then seen saying: “Pipe down, who’d you think you’re shouting at?” Meg replied: “You!”

Andrada asked: “What’s wrong with you?” Meg reacted: “What is right with you?” She added: “Don’t be saying ‘shush’ to try and listen to my argument.” Andrada questioned: “Why is it a big deal that I said ‘shush’? Why are you so hurt by it?”

The pair continued to engage with each other, with Andrada saying at one point: “I don’t understand why you’re shouting at me.” Meg responded: “You’re shouting at me!” Meg went on to share her thoughts with Dejon, whilst away from Andrada, saying: “I just told her to mind her own business.”

As Meg walked into the bedroom, Andrada was talking to Tommy Bradley about having previously listened to the couple arguing. She: “I didn’t say anything bad.” Meg went on to tell her: “End of convo right now. You’re speaking to the whole f***ing villa!”

Andrada took issue with being hold by Meg to stop speaking about it. She added: “I don’t deserve for somebody to come scream at me for no f***ing reason. I didn’t say anything bad.” Meg, sat on the bed next to her, replied: “Hun, I’m here.” Andrada replied by saying that she wasn’t speaking to Meg though.

They resumed their disagreement and was seen in another tense exchange. Toni Laites said at one point: “Everyone shut the f*** up!” Andrada later said: “She’s going through it and she’s letting it out on other people.” Meg said: “Babe, you’re still talking in front of my face.” As they continued to bicker, Ben held Andrada back in bed as she told Meg: “Take a breather.”

Some fans suggested that Andrada was making compelling TV, with one writing on X: “Andrada is tv gold. keep her in the villa.” Another said: “Andarna u have entered the hall of fame.”

A third viewer wrote: “Whoever found Andrada dead a raise, non stop entertainment.” Another said: “Andrada is tv gold.” Sharing their thoughts, one fan said: “OMG … this episode is giving S3 days …Andrada was ready to SCRAP…Now this is what you call TV!”

Others however weren’t impressed by his behaviour. One said: “This is not entertainment, they are all being horrible to Meg and you need to sort those girls out. They are mean girls it’s utter disgraceful.” Another wrote: “Andrada doing WAY too much. we can see straight through you babe.”

Someone said: “Not sure this spin off series is working, think Argument Island is a one series wonder.” Another person wrote: “Andrada proving Ben right, minutes after their chat. She loves to be up in everyone’s business.”

Love Island fans hit out at Harry’s behaviour amid dramatic villa shake-up

Unsurprisingly, Love Island’s Movie Night caused quite the stir in the villa, with the big screen’s revelations causing Helena Ford to confront Harry once again – leaving viewers fuming

Love Island fans were left raging after Sunday night’s episode, after one contestant’s “manipulative” behaviour got too much to take. Harry Cooksley, 30, had rubbed viewers up the wrong way with his popcorn-eating, leaving them feeling ill.

The ITV show’s ever-dramatic Movie Night left islanders reeling after they saw clips of incriminating conversations projected on the big screen for all to see. But it was Harry who left them all fuming, with his partner on the show, Helena Ford, confronting him about his actions.

She told him: “I’m getting fed up with this ‘I only do it to Helena because she lets me get away with it’… you’re making me look stupid again! Literally every person that comes into the Villa says, ‘you let Harry walk all over you.'”

Despite previously breaking up and recoupling, Harry went on to deny intentionally upsetting Helena. But Sunday night’s episode saw viewers take issue with the way he continued to eat leftover popcorn while she was trying to speak to him.

Shakira, who was speaking with Toni, said that watching him eat was making her feel sick. Fans agreed, taking to social media to share their thoughts.

One wrote: “There’s no way I’m trying to have a serious conversation with a man and he’s answering with a mouthful of popcorn not even looking at omg.” Another commented: “Oh my days, Shakira is so right, Harry is making me feel sick too cause WHY IS HE EATING LIKE THAT IS HE FIVE?”

A third fan echoed: “I hate the way Harry ate his popcorn during that conversation with Helena; he doesn’t take anything seriously.” Someone else typed: “I would have f****** thrown that popcorn over Harry if he was eating like that when I was trying to have a serious conversation with him.”

Even Maya Jama had something to say after Harry had been up to his old tricks in Casa Amor. Shortly after she was reunited with Harry, Helena was introduced to dumped islander Rheo Parnell, who had grown close to Harry in Casa Amor. Rheo said: “I don’t think I need to explain what he may have been up to over there. Harry strikes again!”

Helena asked: “How bad are we talking?” Rheo replied: “Well, I mean there were kisses in bed. There was like … cuddles.” Amid discussion about his latest antics, Harry said that he had been “exploring the connection” whilst in the other villa.

Andrada Pop added: “I did ask Harry did he miss Helena and he said he didn’t.” Helena reacted: “To be fair, I think I did say I didn’t miss Harry on the first day either.” Helena and Harry were then seen laughing together over the situation.

Rheo said: “Fair enough.” Love Island host Maya then shared her thoughts, saying: “I don’t know. I probably wouldn’t find it that funny if I was in a couple with someone like that but…”

Jamie Rhodes said: “Yeah, I can’t lie, this is like repeated behaviour. Like you gotta wake up at some point.” After confirming he was talking to Helena, he added: “Personally, I think you deserve more respect.”

Maya – who also confronted Ben Holbrough in the episode over a comment that he made in another scene – said: “Helena, you laugh quite a lot when he’s been doing things. Is that to avoid upset or are you genuinely not bothered?”

‘We turned up to our luxury holiday villa but were met with Satan’s guest house’

A family of 10 were excited about their trip to Orlando, Florida, but were left stunned when they walked into their ‘luxury villa’ and were met with something that resembled ‘Satan’s guest house’

When it comes to booking accommodation for a holiday, whether that’s a villa or a hotel, it can be hard to narrow down the best option. One family thought they had found the perfect “luxury villa”, but they were stunned when they discovered what was lurking inside.

In a post on Reddit about “bad holidays”, the traveller revealed that when they arrived at their villa in Orlando, they were met with “tobacco coloured walls” and “dead cockroaches”. With the trip booked for 10 people, it quickly turned into a holiday from hell.

They shared: “My father-in-law took us to Orlando in 2015. He paid for 10 people, a luxury villa and hired cars as he’s a generous guy. We get to our villa about maybe 9pm, and I’ve already clocked that it’s not in the nicest of areas.

“We unpack and go in to meet the rest of the family. The ‘luxury’ villa was a s**thole. It was all brown and green decor with tobacco coloured walls. We then realised that it was a f**king disgrace.

“The games room was full of dead cockroaches, the kitchen had only enough stuff for 4 people and had broken glasses in the kitchen, we couldn’t open one of the doors to the pool as it was screwed shut, all the doors were mismatched, the smoke and fire alarms were all painted over, the chandelier was holding on by a thread, two chairs collapsed and the air conditioning only put out hot air.

“My eldest son called it ‘Satan’s guest house’. After wasting half of the first day, we got a replacement, but it was such a bl**dy palaver to even stay there overnight.”

The post was met with comments from concerned travellers, with some reflecting on their own experience in Florida. One holidaymaker said: “I went to Florida when I was 10 to do the Disney thing as a family.

“I remember my mum saying she’d never felt more unsafe than downtown Orlando. Fast forward 15 years and I live in the USA and finally understand what she meant! That place is f**king sketchy.”

This is just one of the many disaster holiday stories shared online. Another detailed how when they were a teenager, they were left in “misery” after their parents surprised them with a family trip to Butlins – and it wasn’t the location or weather that ruined the getaway.

The traveller shared on Reddit: “When I was 14, my mum and stepdad packed us all into the car for a surprise holiday at Butlins (we didn’t find out until we were there).

“One small detail they also forgot to mention was that they also didn’t pay for me to actually go into the resort, so I had to get into the boot of our car at the closest petrol station, sleep on the floor of the chalet, and couldn’t use any of the facilities.”

They added: “It was just a week of misery, getting to watch my siblings have fun, whilst I couldn’t even bring a stack of books, because I didn’t know we were going away for a week in the first place.”

Cierra Ortega of ‘Love Island’ addresses those racist posts

Former “Love Island USA” contestant Cierra Ortega has spoken out after her abrupt departure from the villa on Sunday following the resurfacing of posts containing a racial slur.

Ortega, who left just one week from the finale of the hit Peacock show’s seventh season, addressed the incident on Wednesday.

“Now that I’ve been back in the U.S. for about 48 hours and I’ve had the chance to process,” she said in a video posted on Instagram, “I now feel like I’m at a space where I can speak about this without being highly emotional because I am not the victim in this situation.”

“Love Island” commentator Iain Stirling broke the news during Sunday’s episode, stating that the 25-year-old Angeleno had left the show to deal with a “personal issue” that arose. Though it was not explicitly stated why Ortega had left, she had recently faced backlash over social media posts that resurfaced containing a racial slur against Asian people.

She used the slur in 2020 on TikTok and in 2023 on Instagram to describe her own appearance.

Ortega initially remained silent on the issue, with her parents taking to addressing the controversy themselves. In a statement Sunday on Ortega’s Instagram story, they said the backlash had resulted in “one of the most painful weeks of our lives.”

“We’ve seen the posts, the headlines, the hurt and the hate,” they wrote, adding that their daughter had been subject to threats and “cruel messages.”

“It’s uncalled for. And no one deserves that kind of hate, no matter what mistake they’ve made,” they continued.

Ortega chose to address the situation via an “accountability video” in addition to a written statement.

“While I was in the villa, there were some posts that resurfaced from my past where I was very naively using an incredibly offensive and derogatory term. And before I get into the details, I want to first start by addressing not just anyone that I have hurt or deeply offended, but most importantly, the entire Asian community. I am deeply, truly, honestly, so sorry,” she said.

“I had no ill intention when I was using it, but that’s absolutely no excuse because intent doesn’t excuse ignorance … this is not an apology video. This is an accountability video.”

She continued by insisting that the “lesson was learned” and, in an additional post made to her Instagram story, said c she was “genuinely ashamed” of her actions.

“Once again, to the Asian community, I am deeply sorry for my thoughtless mistake and the harm it caused,” she added.

Just a month prior to Ortega’s departure, another contestant faced a similar debacle. Yulissa Escobar left the villa by the season’s second episode due to her use of racial slurs against Black people during a podcast conversation

In response, Escobar also took to Instagram on June 6 to make an apology: “I want to apologize for using a word I had no right in using. … The truth is, I didn’t know better then, but I do now.”

‘Love Island’: Cierra Ortega out amid racist posts backlash

This season of “Love Island USA” has lost yet another contestant after their past use of a racial slur resurfaced online: Cierra Ortega left the villa and will not return.

“Love Island USA” narrator Iain Stirling announced during the Sunday episode that Ortega, 25, had departed the hit dating competition series to deal with “a personal situation.” Though he did not provide additional details about her exit, Ortega recently landed in hot water for her repeated use of a slur for Chinese people — and often Asian people in general — after social media posts resurfaced online.

In an Instagram story from 2023 that made the rounds on Reddit and X, Ortega used the slur as she explained her Botox procedures, writing, “I love getting a mini brow lift to open up my eyes and get that snatched look.”

Another post that raised flags among critics was a 2020 TikTok video where Ortega uses a version of the slur to describe her smile in an Instagram caption. “Love Island USA” streamer Peacock and parent company NBCUniversal did not comment to The Times about the terms of Ortega’s exit, but the reality star’s parents spoke out online about “one of the most painful weeks of our lives.”

In a lengthy statement shared to Ortega’s Instagram story Sunday evening, her parents wrote, “We’ve seen the posts, the headlines, the hurt and the hate.” While acknowledging the outcry and upset around the resurfaced posts, Ortega’s parents alleged that their daughter has also been subject to online hate including threats and “cruel messages.” Ortega’s family, friends and supporters have been caught in the crossfire, they wrote: “it’s heartbreaking.”

The statement added: “It’s uncalled for. And no one deserves that kind of hate, no matter what mistake they’ve made.”

The missive also confirmed that “Cierra is not in the villa” and had yet to “process any of this or speak for herself.” Confident that Ortega will “face this with honesty, growth and grace,” her parents wrote that the reality TV personality will take accountability on her own terms.

Ortega left “Love Island” a month after contestant Yulissa Escobar faced similar backlash. Escobar was out by the season’s second episode amid social media outcry over her use of a slur for Black people. Video posted on Reddit and TMZ showed Escobar using the slur during a podcast conversation. Escobar apologized for using the slur, writing in a statement that she “used it ignorantly, not fully understanding the weight, history, or pain behind it.”

Until Ortega breaks her silence on the controversy, her parents said they have a request for supporters and critics alike: “We’re simply asking for compassion. For patience. For basic human decency.”

The “Love Island USA” Season 7 finale will air Sunday on Peacock.

As temptations rise in Casa Amor the ‘sweetest’ Islander shocks everyone by revealing a side no one saw coming, leaving fans stunned and hearts breaking back in the main villa

There’s set to be heartbreak for one Love Island girl as her man finally shows his true colours in Casa Amor. The boys all descended on the iconic villa in tonight’s episode, and it wasn’t long before they had all seemingly forgot about the connections that they had spent weeks making.

Viewers watched in sheer disbelief as the sweetest boy in the villa, Tommy, proved that his feelings for Emily were not as strong as he had made out as his tune quickly changed the minute the six new girls came on the scene.

Tommy didn’t hold back with the new arrivals as he told them: “There’s definitely a few of you that tickle my fancy.” Love Island fans couldn’t quite believe their ears at Tommy’s cheeky admission given that he had been telling Emily for weeks how much he liked her and how excited he was for her to meet his family on the outside.

The islander even went as far to say that he knows his mum would ‘love’ Emily and would approve of her. However, he appeared to have forgotten his romantic confessions within in minutes of being in Casa Amor.

Taking to X to share their thoughts on Tommy, Love Island viewers didn’t hold back. One fumed: “Tommy the traitor!!! I don’t like Emily in the slightest but this man has single handedly just proved that every single boy is the same whenever a new women enters the chat.”

Another echoed: “VERY surprised by Tommy tonight! Can’t lie he’s gone down in my books! What a snake.” Someone else complained: “Tommy thinks he’s all that and plays the nice guy card but his true colours are actually out.”

While someone else said: “Tommy and Emily were soooooo boring together anyways!! He needs someone with a bit of spice and edge to them and Emily most certainly doesn’t have that. Hope he shacks up with one of these girls just to sicken her lol.”

Elsewhere, it became clear within minutes that tensions were high in Casa Amor and that the boys were not wasting any time. On their first night, Dejon kicked things off with a flirty round of Truth or Dare to break the ice. Things quickly heated up fast as Ben dived in with a bold three-way kiss, including Harry’s ex, Emma.

Harry then soon came face to face with his ex girlfriend Emma, who greeted him with a cheeky: “Surprise!” He later confirmed the ‘E’ tattoo on his wrist is, indeed, for her.

As the Islanders chatted about their types, Yaz said she needs emotional depth in a partner. Emma didn’t miss a beat, leaning toward Harry and saying: “Well that’s you out.”

After the shock of her entrance, Harry and his ex Emma finally caught up, and he said: “I don’t need you to come and tell me off.” But Emma has no plans to stay quiet as she called him out on his bad behaviour with Helena.

“It’s disgraceful though… like, how are you still doing the same thing?” she said. “The way you’ve been moving with Helena honestly… you two deserve each other… two snakes.”

Love Island’s Alima breaks silence on future with Remell after shock villa exit

Love Island’s Alima Gagigo has broken her silence after she was brutally dumped from the villa in a shock twist that no one saw coming – leaving fans fuming

Alima Gagigo has broken her silence after her shock dumping during tonight’s Love Island. Fans were left furious when the 23-year-old was dumped from the villa along with new bombshell Ryan.

The shock exit came as Alima’s partner Conor chose to recouple with Billykiss, leaving Alima single. New bombshell Ryan, who had only entered the villa yesterday, was also dumped from the villa, after none of the girls chose to recouple with him.

During her time in the villa, Alima formed a connection with Remell, however it came crashing down when she learnt he had shared a number of kisses with Poppy in the sleepover. Upon her exit, Alima has spoken out about where she stands with Remell on the outside, and all things villa life.

“Remell and I were getting stronger and stronger by the day,” she said of their relationship. When he got the text about the sleepover, I was with him, and as soon as he started smiling.

“I knew this guy, he wasn’t going to be up to any good. When I saw the clip, from that moment on, I knew it would take a lot for us to go back to how we were before. I wasn’t surprised by his behaviour at all.”

When asked whether she’d be open to have a conversation with Remell after leaving the villa, Alima said: “I don’t hate him and I’m more than happy to be civil, he was part of my experience after all! But in terms of anything romantic, I’ll keep myself away from that.”

After Remell’s departure, Alima found a connection with Ben, but her time was cut short before they could really give it a go. However, Alima’s departure doesn’t mean the end of the road for the couple.

“I want to see how he acts now that I’m not there and if he finds a connection. If he comes back single, I would be interested in seeing if there’s something we could continue…” she teased.

Now she’s been dumped, Alima says she’s rooting for Dejon and Meg to take it home. The pair have been through a number of challenges since coupling up on Day 1, and it looks like Billykiss could cause yet another hurdle in their relationship.

However, Alima doesn’t think she’ll stand in the way. “I think at the start he was acting up a bit, but as the weeks go by, you can really tell he cares when he says ‘my Meg’,” she said when asked who she was rooting for.

“Also Emily and Tommy, because Tommy is the nicest man I’ve ever met in my life. Every time I walk by him in the garden or kitchen I say Tommy they don’t make men like you any more! He’s been crafted out of the sixties. You can tell he’s been raised very well, so praise to his parents!”

Love Island fans hail latest episode ‘best in show’s history’ as villa erupts into mayhem

Love Island fans were treated to a night of non-stop drama and arguments in tonight’s episode, with some hailing the episode one of the best in the ITV2 show’s history

Tensions are rising in the Love Island villa as tonight saw fights, drama and admissions. The fallout from the eBay party continued tonight – with the latest challenge causing some of the most dramatic scenes in Love Island history, according to fans.

It came just after Harry and Yasmin headed for a kiss in the hideaway, leaving Helena and many of the other Islander’s fuming.

Although they all tried to sneak a peek, they were left unaware that the couple had shared three kisses, until all was revealed in the epic game, Look Who’s Talking.

In the explosive game, the Islanders each took a card, with a quote written on it. They then collectively decided which of their fellow Islanders said it – which of course, caused a whole load of drama.

It was in the game where it was revealed Harry and Yasmin shared not one, not two, but three kisses in the Hideaway, leaving Helena fuming.

The moment came after Remell read out the card: “Do you think I should kiss her? Is that what you’re saying? Kiss Yas, because I will,” as the Islanders guessed it was Harry’s words.

Once he was exposed, Harry who is currently coupled up with Helena revealed that the words came out his mouth last night after the two shared a kiss in the challenge.

He finally admitted the pair had shared a kiss in the Hideaway “twice.” However, Yasmin left the villa stunned when she corrected him by saying: “It was three times actually.”

Meg and Dejon
The Islanders were left shocked by tonight’s revelations

Helena’s friend Megan was left fuming at Harry for lying as she exclaimed: “You owe it to Helena to be f*****g honest, you p***k!”

It wasn’t the only time Harry was in hot water during the game, as a number of his flirtatious comments to Yas were exposed, causing huge arguments around the fire pit.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter after the drama, one viewer penned: “nah this is the best love island season we’ve had in YEARS i’m enjoying this so bad #LoveIsland.”

A second agreed: “That might be one of the best episodes of Love Island ever. Like it deserves to be in the hall of fame #LoveIsland.”

Meanwhile, a third echoed: “I think this is the best episode ever!”

The drama comes after last night’s dumping with saw Malisha brutally dumped from the villa. It came after new bombshell Harrison chose to bring Toni back from the villa after dating both her and Malisha.

Love Island fans fuming as popular Islander brutally dumped from villa in ‘unfair’ twist

A Love Island favourite was dumped from the villa during tonight’s episode in yet another brutal twist – but fans have been left fuming the bombshell had been sent packing early

Toni and Malisha
The third Love Island dumping had fans fuming(Image: ITV)

This year’s Love Island is one of the most brutal series yet – with twists coming left right and centre. Tonight another shock twist saw the third dumping of the series following a savage twist.

Last night, fans watched on as the Islanders engaged in yet another recoupling, where the power was in the hands of the boys. Bombshells Toni and Malisha were left single and were told their fate would be in the hands of new bombshell Harrison.

They both headed out for a date with the 22-year-old bombshell, but he was only able to pick one to return. In tonight’s episode it was revealed that Harrison decided to bring Toni back – meaning Malisha was sent packing.

(Image: ITV)

However, fans had branded the twist “unfair” as Harrison and Toni had common ground in the fact that they both lived in America. Toni is currently residing in Las Vegas, while Harrison, from Derby, lives in Miami. That’s not all – the two also shared a connection as they discovered that they attended the same colleague in the States.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “TONI AND HARRISON ARE FROM THE SAME AREA AS WELL? THIS IS SO F******G UNFAIR AND IM SO PISSED #loveisland,” as another penned: “This is so unfair he will obviously choose Toni.”

(Image: ITV)

Fans were left gutted when they realised Malisha had been dumped as Harrison walked in with Toni. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “Malisha deserved better!! #LoveIsland“.

Another echoed: “MY MALISHA DESERVED TO STAY #loveisland,” while a third disappointed fan said: “I need Toni to stay, but also Malisha doesn’t deserve to go home. A fourth called on the producers to bring the star back, writing: “They need to bring Malisha back!!”

Malisha’s shock exit comes just days after her arrival. She arrived alongside bombshells Emily and Yasmin, as they gate crashed the boys’ night, unaware that the girls were watching.

She chose to go on a date with Dejon, which Meg wasn’t best pleased with. The pair continued to have some heated conversations in the villa, and at one point it looked like Dejon’s head could be turned.

However, he chose to stick in his original couple, as last night he said he wanted to couple up with “my Meg” as the Islanders gathered around the firepit.
