During Tuesday’s (August 5) instalment of the popular BBC reality programme, judges Esme Young and Patrick Grant challenged the sewers with three tasks celebrating Korea’s vibrant fashion and textile heritage.
They were accompanied by acclaimed designer Eudon Choi, who assisted in evaluating each Korean-influenced piece.
For the pattern challenge, contestants were required to craft a jeogori – a traditional Korean jacket that’s now featured in modern womenswear and K-Pop fashion.
The sewers then had to reimagine taekwondo uniforms and vibrant belts into eye-catching new garments, with Kit securing first place, reports Wales Online.

In the made-to-measure challenge, participants were challenged to design evening attire that drew inspiration from clothing historically worn by Korean military personnel.
Born in the 900s during the Goryeo dynasty, the cheollik started as a military coat built for movement and authority with a flat collar, pleats and ties.
Over centuries, it’s evolved from rugged menswear into elegant womenswear.
Contestants were allocated five hours for the task, having been permitted to practice their designs at home.
Following her failure to wow the judges with her garments, Novello was sent home from the contest, whilst Caz claimed the garment of the week accolade.

“It’s okay, I expected it,” Novello said following her departure.
“Sewing has always been in my life, and this experience has blown it out of the water, really. It’s just something that I will remember and treasure always.”
However, after watching the episode, many of the show’s viewers shared their frustration at the lack of time the sewers get during each challenge.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), one person wrote: “I know it’s a competition, but can’t they give them a little more time? It’s nicer to judge finished garments.”
Another added: “I know they have to weed out the worst sewers, but give them a bit more time,” whilst a third said: “They defo need more time.”

First aired in 2011, the comedy became a holiday fixture and enjoyed huge popularity in its early years. Its 2013 Christmas Day special drew 11.52 million viewers, making it one of the most-watched festive programmes of the decade.
The series has long divided audiences and critics, and was recently labelled the “worst ever BBC show” by some viewers on social media.
Comments on X during tonight’s broadcast included: “Worst programme in human history should’ve never been commissioned” and “Just speechless… I honestly don’t know one person who thinks this show is remotely funny.”
Another insisted: “This show needs to be axed asap. It’s not one bit funny.” Someone else fumed: “I actually hate this show with a passion and I’m Irish and from Dublin and I GET that kind of sense of humour.”

In 2023, Mrs Brown’s Boys faced further scrutiny after O’Carroll made a racial slur during rehearsals for the Christmas special. Crew members were reportedly “shocked” by the remark and lodged complaints with BBC bosses.
The broadcaster suspended production and launched an investigation. O’Carroll later apologised, expressing “deep regret” over what he called a “clumsy attempt at a joke.”
Speaking publicly about the incident for the first time on Irish YouTube programme Conversations With Gerry Kelly, O’Carroll claimed his words had been “completely taken out of context.”
He also argued that the episode ultimately had a positive impact.

“The one thing that that incident did is give great awareness about racism, and great awareness about the BBC, they don’t take any messing… However, I think in the long run it was a good thing, because it got people talking about it.”
O’Carroll, who has won the National Television Award for Best Comedy six times for Mrs Brown’s Boys, has made it clear he is unfazed by negative feedback.
“The ones that love me, I love them, and the ones that don’t, f*** them,” he told Kelly, adding that those who dislike the show should simply “pick up the remote and change the station.”
Fans have hit out at the new series
Despite its dwindling audience, the series maintains a loyal fan base and continues to be a fixture in the BBC’s comedy line-up.
The new series, which began tonight, marks a fresh chapter for the show as it seeks to recapture some of its former success in the face of ongoing criticism.
As the competition heated up, the remaining contestants pressed on to an undisclosed location after Deborah became the first casualty of the game, her incorrect guess landing her miles away from the actual destination: Paris.
With the competitors still clueless about their whereabouts, they embarked on a fresh leg of their European adventure.
Drama escalated when the participants were split into groups and tasked with securing a clue for their team while precariously perched in a gondola 2,000 metres up in the air, reports Wales Online.
BBC’s Destination X leaves viewers speechless with ‘nerve-racking’ challenge
Amidst the mountainous backdrop, the host revealed a plot twist, one brave soul from each team had to abseil down to retrieve a clue from the bottom of their cart.
X was ablaze as viewers expressed their astonishment at seeing two daring contestants abseil from their sky-high gondola.
One viewer exclaimed: “This is INSANE he’s hanging 2,000ft above air like it’s nothing #DestinationX” While someone else tweeted: “Is this for real? #DestinationX”.
One player from each team had to go under the cart to get the clue
One viewer couldn’t help but express their concern, saying: “All I can think about is insurance and risk assessments.”
Another shared their personal dread, sharing: “I’d be in the corner rocking back and forth this is a nightmare to me.”
A different person pointed out the behind-the-scenes safety measures, commenting: “As well as a camera crew, there must be safety people checking the harnesses.”
Pilot Josh, reflecting on the daunting experience of being suspended mid-air, admitted: “There was a massive drop down , that was pretty nerve-racking!”
Josh confessed the task was ‘nerve-racking’
Ultimately, both teams managed to secure the clue from beneath the cart, but it was Team A who triumphed in the overall challenge by piecing together their clues more effectively.
In a strategic move, the victorious team chose to withhold some information about the clue they uncovered, hoping to gain an edge in the competition.
Despite the tactical play and the advantage it provided, it was Dawn who faced elimination, becoming the most recent contestant to exit the show.

BBC Breakfast had a slight technical glitch during the latest live broadcast, which did not go unnoticed by hosts Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty.
BBC Breakfast encountered some technical hiccups during Thursday’s live transmission.
During the programme on July 17, presenters Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty crossed to Mike Bushell, who was broadcasting live from The Open Championship at Royal Portrush.
But as the BBC correspondent began speaking with former champion Andrew Murray, both men suddenly became frozen on screen.
Spotting the technical glitch, the show quickly returned to Charlie and Naga, who were swift to acknowledge the problem.
Naga explained: “Apologies there. We’re having some issues. I don’t think a golf ball has hit our satellite truck to knock it out of service, but we’ll have a look, we’ll have a quick check.”
The BBC presenter assured viewers they would continue receiving updates from Royal Portrush throughout the morning as they smoothly transitioned to the weather forecast, reports the Express.

Fortunately, the technical troubles were swiftly sorted, with Mike returning on-air during a subsequent segment to cover the golfing tournament.
Prior to the minor technical hitch, Charlie had playfully ribbed his colleague about his unusually subdued manner.
He remarked: “I wouldn’t say that Mike Bushell is one of the loudest broadcasters we have, but this morning he was particularly hushed when we threw to him earlier on, for all the right reasons.”

Naga responded: “Do you know what it was? He was behaving and applying good etiquette.”
The 59-year-old humorously pretended to take umbrage at their comments about his quieter-than-usual approach.
He remarked: “There’s some more players coming through, so I will go into my dulcet quiet tones again in a moment.
Mike was reporting live from the golfing event in Northern Ireland(Image: BBC)
“You seem surprised that I’m well behaved and showing etiquette and politeness, how dare you?!”
Despite the cheeky comments, he continued with his broadcast in his usual professional manner.
During his segment, Mike expressed his astonishment at the size of the event, saying: “You’ve got this little town of Royal Portrush on the beautiful North coast, which usually has a population, I’m told, of 11,000.
“It suddenly becomes this sporting metropolis with 287,000 fans here over the next three days, generating £213m for the Northern Ireland economy.”

Love Island viewers reacted to a scene involving Andrada Pop and Meg Moore on tonight’s episode of the ITV2, with the two islanders seen in a tense exchange in the villa
21:58, 13 Jul 2025Updated 22:25, 13 Jul 2025
Love Island viewers were divided over an islander on the latest episode, with some suggesting that they had made a mark on the reality TV show. Others weren’t impressed though following tension in the villa after movie night.
The latest episode of the ITV2 show included the aftermath of Meg Moore having been given a glimpse into Dejon Noel-Williams’ relationship with Andrada Pop whilst he was in Casa Amor. The situation left Meg upset and she confronted Dejon, whom she recently became ‘exclusive’ with.
Later in the evening, Meg and Dejon were seen in a tense discussion inside the Love Island villa. Andrada, who is coupled-up with Ben Holbrough, appeared to be listening from a room nearby as she told some of her co-stars: “Shh shh.”
Meg later heard about it and confronted Andrada. She told her: “Don’t be in here saying ‘shush’ to hear my conversation with D.” Andrada was then seen saying: “Pipe down, who’d you think you’re shouting at?” Meg replied: “You!”
Andrada asked: “What’s wrong with you?” Meg reacted: “What is right with you?” She added: “Don’t be saying ‘shush’ to try and listen to my argument.” Andrada questioned: “Why is it a big deal that I said ‘shush’? Why are you so hurt by it?”

The pair continued to engage with each other, with Andrada saying at one point: “I don’t understand why you’re shouting at me.” Meg responded: “You’re shouting at me!” Meg went on to share her thoughts with Dejon, whilst away from Andrada, saying: “I just told her to mind her own business.”
As Meg walked into the bedroom, Andrada was talking to Tommy Bradley about having previously listened to the couple arguing. She: “I didn’t say anything bad.” Meg went on to tell her: “End of convo right now. You’re speaking to the whole f***ing villa!”
Andrada took issue with being hold by Meg to stop speaking about it. She added: “I don’t deserve for somebody to come scream at me for no f***ing reason. I didn’t say anything bad.” Meg, sat on the bed next to her, replied: “Hun, I’m here.” Andrada replied by saying that she wasn’t speaking to Meg though.
They resumed their disagreement and was seen in another tense exchange. Toni Laites said at one point: “Everyone shut the f*** up!” Andrada later said: “She’s going through it and she’s letting it out on other people.” Meg said: “Babe, you’re still talking in front of my face.” As they continued to bicker, Ben held Andrada back in bed as she told Meg: “Take a breather.”

Some fans suggested that Andrada was making compelling TV, with one writing on X: “Andrada is tv gold. keep her in the villa.” Another said: “Andarna u have entered the hall of fame.”
A third viewer wrote: “Whoever found Andrada dead a raise, non stop entertainment.” Another said: “Andrada is tv gold.” Sharing their thoughts, one fan said: “OMG … this episode is giving S3 days …Andrada was ready to SCRAP…Now this is what you call TV!”
Others however weren’t impressed by his behaviour. One said: “This is not entertainment, they are all being horrible to Meg and you need to sort those girls out. They are mean girls it’s utter disgraceful.” Another wrote: “Andrada doing WAY too much. we can see straight through you babe.”
Someone said: “Not sure this spin off series is working, think Argument Island is a one series wonder.” Another person wrote: “Andrada proving Ben right, minutes after their chat. She loves to be up in everyone’s business.”
Love Island star Helena Ford was met with comments from host Maya Jama on the latest episode after reuniting with Harry Cooksley following time apart amid Casa Amor

Fans have reacted to remarks made by Love Island host Maya Jama to islander Helena Ford after Casa Amor. The presenter was made aware of what Harry Cooksley had been up to whilst they were apart after they reunited this week.
Last night’s episode of the ITV2 show continued the latest recoupling as the two villas came together. Helena and Harry were among the couples who chose to stay together rather than recouple with one of the new additions introduced recently.
Shortly after their reunion, Helena was introduced to dumped islander Rheo Parnell, who had grown close to Harry in Casa Amor. Rheo said: “I don’t think I need to explain what he may have been up to over there. Harry strikes again!”

Helena asked: “How bad are we talking?” Rheo replied: “Well, I mean there were kisses in bed. There was like … cuddles.” Amid discussion about his latest antics, Harry said that he had been “exploring the connection” whilst in the other villa.
Andrada Pop added: “I did ask Harry did he miss Helena and he said he didn’t.” Helena reacted: “To be fair, I think I did say I didn’t miss Harry on the first day either.” Helena and Harry were then seen laughing together over the situation.
Rheo said: “Fair enough.” Love Island host Maya then shared her thoughts, saying: “I don’t know. I probably wouldn’t find it that funny if I was in a couple with someone like that but…”
Jamie Rhodes said: “Yeah, I can’t lie, this is like repeated behaviour. Like you gotta wake up at some point.” After confirming he was talking to Helena, he added: “Personally, I think you deserve more respect.”
Maya – who also confronted Ben Holbrough in the episode over a comment that he made in another scene – said: “Helena, you laugh quite a lot when he’s been doing things. Is that to avoid upset or are you genuinely not bothered?”
Helena responded to the presenter: “It’s not that I’m not bothered. It’s more that I’m just not surprised.” Rheo said: “But do you not think that you deserve more? You do.”
Harry then explained: “If I wanted to be with Rheo, I would have come back with her. No, I’m not excusing anything. I’m not saying that everything I do is right, I just do what feels right in the moment [and] then deal with it after.”
Later, Harry spoke to Helena about their time apart. He admitted to kissing Rheo “once in bed” but said he felt it was “never gonna be” their relationship. Helena was later told by Andrada that he had kissed Rheo more than once.

She later told him that his behaviour in Casa Amor had been “disrespectful”. Addressing him having been “pursuing” someone else, she said about the future: “We’re not having that.” Harry said that were “on the same page”.
Fans reacted to scenes from the episode on X, including Maya’s remarks to Helena. One viewer wrote: “Is this the first time even Maya is basically calling a contestant a mug. She said ‘Helena, you seem to be laughing everytime he does this, I wouldn’t find this funny’.”
Another said: “Maya basically told Helena to stop embarrassing herself and she laughed.” A third wrote: “Everyone looked at Helena with real concern including Maya. Its becoming a little sad now.”
One fan said: “There’s actually no helping Helena atp wdym the entire firepit is telling her she deserves better INCLUDING MAYA and she’s still excusing Harry’s treatment of her.” Someone wrote: “I’m screaming at the Helena intervention at the recoupling how is everyone telling you to respect yourself, even Maya who’s meant to be impartial.”
Sharing their thoughts, one viewer said: “Helena could walk in on Harry having sex and still be laughing.” Someone replied: “I know….. for Maya to actually pipe in, you know its bad. She’s never done that. I get second hand embarrassment honestly watching her disrespect herself like that.”
One person wrote: “I genuinely hope Helena’s parents have a talk with her when she comes back from the villa because this lack of self-respect and self-love at her age is concerning and sad.” However, not everyone felt the same, with someone responding: “She’s having fun on a stupid game show and you idiots are triggered like a bunch of spoilt children. Pathetic.”
Love Island continues tonight from 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
The Chase is the latest ITV show to fall victim to scheduling changes as the UEFA Women’s Euros take priority on air. Viewers have already been left fuming over the soaps being pulled from screens
08:14, 08 Jul 2025Updated 08:14, 08 Jul 2025
Fans will not be able to watch The Chase tonight
Fans of The Chase are facing disappointment this week as the hit quiz show has been pulled from ITV’s schedule in yet another shake-up triggered by live sporting events.
Viewers who usually tune in to see Bradley Walsh put contestants through their paces at 5pm on ITV One will find their routine interrupted as the broadcaster clears space for coverage of the UEFA Women’s Euros.
On Monday, July 7, The Chase will be bumped from its regular slot to make way for live coverage of the Spain vs Belgium match, with the build-up starting at 4.15pm ahead of the 5pm kick-off.
The ITV quiz show has been bumped off for coverage of the UEFA Women’s Euros(Image: ITV)
However, fans won’t have to go completely without their fix of Chasers and cash-build rounds. A second celebrity special of the quiz will air on Sunday, July 12, at 5.30pm instead. The show is then expected to return to its usual 5pm weekday slot from Tuesday, July 8.
This isn’t the first time recently that The Chase has been booted off air. Just last month, the popular quiz was cancelled for the entire week to make way for coverage of Royal Ascot, leaving viewers frustrated.
And it’s not just quiz fans feeling the pinch. Soap lovers are also grappling with significant disruption as both Coronation Street and Emmerdale are hit by further schedule changes this week.
Coronation Street, which is typically on screens Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 8pm and 9pm, will be absent from ITV on both Monday and Wednesday. Instead, fans will have to wait until 9pm on Thursday for their next visit to Weatherfield, while Friday’s episode will air as usual.
Meanwhile, Emmerdale will also be missing from the Monday and Wednesday line-up to make way for the Portugal vs Italy and France vs Wales games.
Over on the BBC, EastEnders fans are no strangers to disruption either, having endured an eight-day absence from screens between July 1 and July 9 thanks to Wimbledon coverage.
This comes after soap fans hit out at the disruption to their usual fix of Emmerdale, Coronation Street, and EastEnders. One angry viewer fumed: “Why have we no Emmerdale or Corrie, cause women’s football on ITV? Why can’t the football move to ITV2 or ITVX? Stupid planning. The soaps must have much higher viewers than women’s football, a lot of people unhappy.”
Another ranted: “This is actually a full-on joke. It’s about time ITV came up with a solution to suit all!! Some of us rely on soaps for routine and they are the only happy part of our day! YOU HAVE ITVX AND SEVERAL OTHER CHANNELS! Sort it out ITV!!”
A third fan added: “This annoys me so much. I hate soap schedule changes due to football. Watching soaps at night makes my nights better as it gives me escapism from my daily life.”

The fan said: “Finally watched we live in time and I’m so grateful I didn’t watch in the cinema I’ve not stopped sobbing.”
But that fan is by no means the only one. According to reports, the drama has received 79% on film website Rotten Tomatoes.

It then added: “It’s such a joy to watch two such assured and natural performers allowed the room to exercise both movie star and actor muscles as well as showcase their ease with both comedy and drama.”
The review went on to add: “Their chemistry is just so electric that it would be hard to imagine how any of it could work quite so well without them.”
And in an interview with Radio Times, the director, John Crowley was asked about the chemistry between the two lead stars.
He explained: “I had an instinct that the two of them would work well together, and that’s not based on anything. That’s just a hunch, right? So it’s very unscientific.”
Love Island viewers threatened to contact Ofcom after they watched a tense conversation unfold on the recent episode of the ITV2 show

Love Island viewers slam show after ‘horrible scene’ between two contestants(Image: ITV)
Love Island viewers hit out at the ITV2 dating show after they watched a tense conversation unfold between Dejon and newcomer Billykiss. The duo initially had a connection when the bombshell picked him for a date this week, but he chose to stay partnered up with Meg during the recoupling.
Animosity grew between them after the Islanders took part in a Superman-inspired game which saw Yasmin and Gio pick Dejon as the least dedicated male Islander. “I don’t feel like you’ve dedicated yourself fully to the whole experience,” Yasmin said. “I hope you’ve only dedicated to getting to know one person…”
They initially had a spark during their date(Image: ITV/Shutterstock)
Dejon responded: “I didn’t know when all of a sudden it’s become a problem wanting one woman,” to which Yasmin referred to his date with Billykiss.” The bombshell took the moment to point out how he claimed to be open with her but acts closed around Meg.
She told him: “You don’t want to hear the truth, which is why you’re feeling sour.” A day after the challenge, Billykiss and Dejon sat down to hash things out, with Dejon telling her: “The challenge yesterday, a lot of things were said that I don’t agree with at all.”
Billykiss said it wasn’t fair that he led her on despite knowing his “heart is with Meg” as she explained how she felt. However, he repeatedly shut her down and bluntly said: “You’re not someone that I would want to get to know in here, or on the outside, from the conversations that we’ve had.”
Things got tense between them in the recent episode(Image: ITV/Shutterstock)
She tried to share her thoughts but he stood up and added: “Alright Billykiss. I’m not going to keep begging to speak,” before waltzing off.
Fans were furious with how Dejon spoke to Billykiss and rushed to social media to threaten to filed a complaint with Ofcom.
One user said: “Complaining to @Ofcom Love Island. Allowing Dejon to speak to BillyKiss like that is not appropriate.
“You need to do better, that was so bloody awful to watch.”
Another fan commented: “That comment from Dejon! “That was HORRID and such a show of his character. I honestly rate Billykiss for standing her ground during that conversation,” while one posted: “That was a horrible scene to watch play out.”
One fan added: “Why does Dejon think he can speak like that to Billykiss?” and another reminded people: “Mind you Billykiss was having a nap in the shade, Dejon brought himself to have this conversation and acted like he was forced to be there.”

There was a surprise recoupling tonight with one unexpected couple raising eyebrows
The boys had to choose who they would recouple with in Love Island(Image: ITV)
Love Island fans have been asking the same question after an unexpected twist.
Alima and newcomer Ryan became the most recent contestants to be booted from the villa earlier this week after a shocking recoupling twist. The drama unfolded when bombshells Ryan and Billykiss each selected two islanders to accompany them on dates.
Ryan opted for Toni and Shakira, whilst Billykiss picked Dejon and Conor, before they made their entrance into the villa ahead of another revelation that caught everyone off guard.
The islanders were then asked whether anyone wanted to recouple with the fresh arrivals, reports OK!. Conor decided to pair up with Billykiss, leaving Alima without a partner and subsequently eliminated from the show.
The latest episode saw another surprise recoupling with an unexpected couple forming(Image: ITV)
Meanwhile, no one stepped forward for Ryan, sealing his exit from the villa as well. Tonight (July 4), saw yet another recoupling – but with an unexpected surprise.
The islanders received a message stating: “Islanders, today there will be a recoupling where the boys will choose which girl they’d like to recouple with”.
As the girls stood around the fire pit awaiting their fate, one boy made a surprise selection, explaining: “I don’t really know her as well as I should and I think this is a good opportunity to get to know her fully… I find her attractive and over the last few days she’s really changed my opinion of her.”
Eyebrows were raised when Conor picked Yasmin to recouple with, leaving Giorgio to pair up with Billykiss. And people were quick to have their say as one fan wrote on social media: “Also Conor moving off Billykiss already basically means that Alima went home for NO REASON!”.
Another was puzzled: “Have I missed something? Since when did Conor and Yasmin like eachother?”.

One person asked: “Anyone else confused by Connor’s decision there????”. Another commented: “Have i missed an episode or something? connor and yasmin? #LoveIslandUK #Loveisland”.
In another coupling, Harry chose Helena. Earlier, Shakira had called it quits with Harry, refusing to be part of a “triangle” involving Helena.
She confronted him saying: “You said you’ve fully ended it with Helena, [and that] there’s nothing there with her… Then all of a sudden Meg stands up, who’s Helena’s best friend, and says that you’re telling two different girls two different things. Something’s not adding up there.”
The following day saw Harry and Helena escape to the Hideaway.

Love Island star Megan Forte Clark has opened up on her time in the villa admitting that she saw red “for days”

Megan Forte Clark confessed that she “saw red” in the Love Island villa and is now dishing on her biggest regret.
In last month’s show, during the first public vote, viewers were tasked with choosing their least favoured couple, leading to Remell Mannings and Megan being booted off the island.
The 24-year-old brunette, who found herself entangled in a love triangle with Conor Philips despite being initially paired with Tommy Bradley, was seen locking lips with Conor on the terrace – later spilling to the other girls: “I kissed Conor on the terrace… I was like ‘just f**king kiss me then… he was itching to do it.”
Following a dramatic confrontation, Tommy washed his hands of the romantic tug-of-war, leaving Conor free to pursue Megan – but fate had other plans as a surprise public vote saw her leave the villa soon after.

Speaking candidly to Ode Entertainment post-villa life, Megan opened up about the tensions between herself, Tommy, and Conor, revealing an impulsive side she now regrets.
On TikTok, the lass from Dublin divulged: “I wish I’d taken a breath”, adding a frank admission: “You know when you hear something and you just see red, and I saw red for about four days.”
She lamented the poorly timed intervention by Conor, stating: “And then obviously while I was seeing red, Conor swooped in so it was just really bad timing. Of course, you only see the hour out of the 24.”

Confirming her and Tommy parted ways amicably, the musical theatre star stated: “When you see red like that, someone needs to sit you down and say like ‘girl’.”
She elaborated: “I felt like the girls were seeing where I was coming from, so I think that’s why I got more wound up.”
Viewers promptly took to social media to share their opinions, with one fan suggesting: “Bring her back for Casa.” Meanwhile, another insisted: “Please bring her back for Casa.”
Following Megan’s exit, which tugged at the heartstrings, Tommy is now coupled up with Emily, who previously paired with Conor. The atmosphere intensified as a tearful Conor questioned Megan: “Will you wait for me?” to which she tenderly responded: “I’ll wait for you.”
Adding to the drama, Conor confessed to Ben that he sees Megan as potential girlfriend material outside of the show.

Streaming platform Netflix has announced a collaboration that’s set to bring additional live content to customers for no extra charge. It’s unveiled plans for a partnership with NASA, which is scheduled to launch in the coming months.
Live content from NASA+ – which launched back in 2023 – will be available internationally through Netflix from later this summer. It has said that customers will be able to stream it directly on the platform and on all memberships.
It’s been teased that fans can expect rocket launches, astronaut spacewalks, mission coverage and live views of Earth from the International Space Station. Netflix has said that the new content will be available to stream in HD.
Netflix and space agency NASA shared the news yesterday ahead of the launch. It’s been announced that the feeds will be on the interface of the streaming platform, alongside customer’s favourite shows, starting later this summer.

NASA has said that through the partnership its work in science and exploration will be “even more accessible”. It added that it will increase engagement and inspire a global audience, with Netflix said to reach more than 700 million people.
Rebecca Sirmons, general manager of NASA+, said: “The National Aeronautics and Space Act of 1958 calls on us to share our story of space exploration with the broadest possible audience. Together, we’re committed to a Golden Age of Innovation and Exploration – inspiring new generations – right from the comfort of their couch or in the palm of their hand from their phone.”
Netflix teased that the countdown has begun. It said: “Whether you’re a die-hard space nerd or someone who just really, really enjoys seeing Earth glow from 250 miles up, the countdown has officially begun.”
The streaming platform added on its Tudum site: “So go ahead, set a reminder, pop some popcorn, and tilt your screen skyward. The next giant leap for humankind might just start with you pressing play.”

Additional details and schedules are set to be announced ahead of launch. Alongside the news of the partnership, it’s been confirmed that NASA+ remains free, without ads, through the NASA app and on the agency’s website.
Netflix has said that new content will be included in all its memberships through the partnership. The streaming platform, which increased its prices for existing customers, in line with fees for new subscribers, earlier this year, currently offers three different plans for customers who are based in the UK.
Standard with adverts is priced at £5.99 per month, whilst advert-free Standard is now £12.99 per month. Premium, which includes Ultra HD and other additional benefits not included in the other two plans, is £18.99 per month.
NASA+ launched two years ago as a streaming platform for NASA, which is space agency of the US. Alongside its live content, the website currently offers programmes including documentaries like Our Alien Earth and Moon 101.

Casualty viewers were left heartbroken as Stevie Nash (played by Elinor Lawless) returned to the ED.
In the latest edge-of-your-seat episode of Casualty, viewers witnessed Stevie Nash (Elinor Lawless) returning to the ED post-cancer treatment.
Advised by medical professionals to extend her rest period, a determined Stevie was keen to dive back into work regardless. Yet, when faced with an influx of overdose cases due to tainted drugs, she quickly found herself overwhelmed.
While newcomer Flynn Byron (Olly Rix) initially promised his support for her shift, he was promptly swept away by other crises in the department.
Audiences took to social media expressing their concern, with many feeling it may have been too premature for Stevie’s return.
Casualty viewers concerned for fan-favourite as they plea ‘look after yourself’
One viewer expressed sympathy, commenting: “Sorry, Stevie. I don’t think you’re ready at all #Casualty” Meanwhile, another observed: “Stevie being thrown into the deep end on Day 1 #Casualty.”
A sympathetic comment read: “Poor Stevie rushed off her feet on Day 1” Another fan advised: “Stevie you shouldn’t be back so soon actually I’m glad you are but please look after yourself.”
Echoing this sentiment, one person said: “Stevie really hasn’t been supported back to work at all #casualty” While another commented: “Poor Stevie. Much too soon to come back to work.”
Someone else stated: “My heart breaks for Stevie #casualty” as another offered: “Tonight’s episode is stressful.”
BBC viewers saw Stevie return to the drama on Saturday night
As the episode progressed, we saw Stevie confronting Flynn about his absence during her tumultuous comeback shift, though he assured her he believed in her capabilities and kept a watchful eye on her the entire time, reports Wales Online.
As the drama on the show unveiled, it emerged the duo had past connections from their youthful days. Despite hints of a longstanding camaraderie, when Flynn advances romantically towards her, she is visibly unimpressed and promptly puts him in his place.
The actress shared her insights on the anticipated reappearance in the series and Stevie’s reaction to Flynn’s ill-timed kiss. Elinor divulged to What to Watch: “I know, it’s like, ‘dude, read the room and smell the chlorine!’
The fan-favourite was quick to shut down Flynn when he attempted to kiss her
“Stevie is very much, ‘What are you doing? !’ She has seen him do this [in the past] to other women but out of pride she never went there.
“It’s a moment where she takes charge and tells him to back off! It’s been great working with Olly to find the key to our characters’ friendship.”
Although Stevie firmly rebuffed Flynn in the moment, viewers are left wondering if this could signal the start of a blossoming romance.
Love Island fans were shocked as they watched Harry, Dejon and Shea come up with a plan to make sure they got to kiss the girls they were most interested in

Three Love Island boys came up with the plan(Image: ITV/Shutterstock)
Love Island fans were taken aback on Monday nigh by Harry, Dejon and Shea’s “childish” plan. Their antics were quickly rumbled by the other Islanders as it was revealed they had schemed together about who to kiss during the came.
Tommy revealed that he found it suspicious that Harry, Dejon and Shea all ended up kissing the girls that they were most interested in outside of their own couples. Amid Tommy’s probing, Harry cracked as he owned up to their plan.
He revealed: “We were all like, boys lets just forget the question and just say who you wanna kiss – so Shea was like I wanna kiss Megan, when he read it out, me and D said, ‘That’s Megan!’”
The boys created a plan so they could kiss who they wanted to(Image: ITV)
Tommy was stunned as he replied: “Oh my god, f****ng hell! What do you think will happen tonight then? That will all come out?” Harry hit back: “The girls are gonna find out!”
Tommy decided to give the girls a heads up as he took Megan to the Terrace and let her know what he was told. A shocked Megan fumed: “We f***ing knew it!”
Tommy decided to spill more as he said: “Shea said, ‘When it’s my turn say Megan’ – I think that’s out of order. I don’t like confrontation, but I will stand up for what’s right. He failed, you shut him down and he’s still going for it, the only reason I think he’s doing that is to piss me off and he’s f***ing done it.”
Viewers also joined in Tommy and Megan’s anger as they hit out at the trio. One said: “the concept of these 30 year old men making up a secret plan to kiss the girls they want to kiss in a challenge without other people knowing.”
The plan worked until Harry decided to confess(Image: ITV)
Another added: “The whole kissing plan was hella weird, but the way the guys are going about it is making me laugh because they are so oblivious to their stupidity.” Someone else commented: “so harry makes the plan and then is the first to snitch…”
A fourth wrote: “This episode is so childish omds like yall are grown behave.” Others were more confused as to why Harry decided to reveal the plan despite it working for them.
“Harry is a liability why did he tell Tommy the plan?,” asked a viewer. Another added: “None of this would have happened if the guys had kept their devious plan to themselves.”
Someone else commented: “Harry loves chaos because there was no need telling Tommy.” A fan praised: “Harry’s f***ing hilarious icl, what great tv.”
As word of the boys’ plan spread around the Villa, the penny started to drop with some of the Islanders about the choices that were being made in the challenge. Harry protested: “It’s only a challenge” but Tommy made the decision to pull Shea.
The 1% Club on ITV has been a huge hit, but viewers have been left frustrated after realising how obvious the answer to a recent question was – if only they’d realised sooner
ITV The 1% Club’s ‘obvious’ question leaves viewers ‘face palming’ over wrong answer(Image: ITV)
Telly fans have admitted to “face palming” after missing an obvious answer on The 1% Club.
The ITV quiz show, hosted by comedian and actor Lee Mack, has become a firm favourite among viewers, despite often leaving them scratching their heads.
The game involves 100 contestants answering questions that have already been answered by the general public. The difficulty level increases with each round, culminating in a final question that only 1% of people are expected to know.
As Lee presents the 15 questions, the contestants – who each start with a £1,000 stake – are gradually eliminated. Contestants must lock in their answers within 30 seconds and can progress to the next round if they answer correctly or pass the round after the 50% question, reports Bristol Live.
Viewers have been pondering the ‘obvious’ question(Image: ITV)
Those who reach the final round could win up to £100,000 or share the prize pot. Meanwhile, those at home playing along on the app can simply enjoy the thrill of the game.
Viewers have often confessed to being “bamboozled” by tricky questions, but a recent one left fans kicking themselves when they realised how straightforward it was.
The question showed a grid filled with seemingly random letters and four question marks, asking: “What animal is missing?”.
At first glance, the grid appeared to be a jumble of letters, but upon reading the rows vertically and then horizontally, it revealed itself to be a nursery rhyme.
A quiz question from Lee Mack’s The 1% Club has left fans ‘face palming’(Image: ITV)
The first row read: O N E T W O, the second: T H R E E F, the third: O U R F I V, the fourth: E O N C E I, the fifth: C A U G H T, the sixth: A ? ? ? ? A, and the final one, with the last two spots blank: L I V E.A, and the last one, with two spaces unrevealed, displayed: L I V E.
The Facebook page that posted the brain teaser labelled it a 5% question while confessing they hadn’t attempted to solve it themselves.
They then revealed their frustration upon discovering the answer, which was echoed by many who later realised that if they’d read (and sung) the sequence vertically, they would have identified the answer as “fish”.
One baffled user exclaimed: “Oh god, when you see it! ! ! ! My brain is squeezing,”.
Someone nostalgically admitted: “Had to sing the rhyme for old times sake.”
Fans had a lot to say(Image: ITV)
A third confessed: “Fish. But took me longer than 30 seconds,” highlighting the challenge they faced.
One irritated commentator argued about the technicality of classifying a fish as an animal due to the wording in the question, whilst another said exasperatedly: “OMG! That took WAYYYY longer than needed..”
A particularly frustrated fan criticised the puzzle: “This is one of the worst questions I’ve ever seen. This isn’t even anything witty, you just have to know a rhyme lol. I noticed the numbers but how tf could I know the word unless I know the rhyme. Soooo dumb.”
Echoing the sentiment, someone agreed: “This one SUCKS because if you don’t know the nursery rhyme, you could guess any four letter animal. Bird, frog… anything. FFS.”
Saturday Kitchen host Matt Tebbutt was left cringing following a guest’s confession about him on the BBC One show
10:20, 14 Jun 2025Updated 10:35, 14 Jun 2025
A Saturday Kitchen guest didn’t hold back as they exposed host Matt Tebbutt’s behaviour on the programme.
The BBC show returned to screens on Saturday morning (August 17) with Matt back at the helm. Joining Matt on the programme were chefs Paul Ainsworth, Sam Evans and Shauna Guinn, as well as special guest Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
But things took an awkward turn when Matt demanded one of the guests to “park it there” after they let slip a rather awkward confession about the beloved TV star.
As Paul Ainsworth cooked up a delicious dish for Matt and the guests, Matt quizzed him: “Is this on the menu in your restaurant Caffè Rojano?”
Matt was back to host the show
Paul replied: “Yes we put this on the menu,” to which Matt gushed: “It’s a great restaurant.”
Wine expert Olly then chimed in: “I love it, me and my family we’ve gone there several times. Really informal setting, delicious food.” Matt added: “Super relaxed.”
Olly said: “Well in your case Matthew very relaxed. A little too relaxed perhaps..,” as an awkward silence filled the studio.
A guest exposed Matt’s behaviour
Matt proclaimed: “Let’s park that there!” But chef Paul wasn’t going to let it go. He said: “Shall we go there? Shall we go there?!”
Matt replied: “Let’s not,” as Paul continued: “I think the viewers need to know that you fell asleep in Caffè Rojano!” An embarrassed Matt laughed along with his guests and he admitted: “It had been a long day.”
It comes after Matt spilled the secrets of working in live television – and opened up on the toughest part of the job.
Matt warned ‘let’s park it there’
Despite revealing he relishes the challenge every week on the BBC show, Matt has admitted the crew face a number of challenges in a bid to make the long-running show continue to air smoothly.
The 51-year-old chef has presented the weekend morning food show since 2017, when he took over from James Martin. And he has admitted that the crew are “like family” and are often met with many challenges, meaning they have to rehearse “a lot” despite it looking like they “wing it” at times.
Saturday Kitchen airs every Saturday at 10am on BBC One.
The Timothy Spall and Gwyneth Keyworth-fronted series has been hit with complaints just minutes in
08:46, 09 Jun 2025Updated 08:55, 09 Jun 2025
Death Valley faced a storm of criticism as viewers claimed to “switch off” just minutes into the third episode.
The six-part drama, which aired its third episode on Sunday, June 8, features Timothy Spall as John Chapel and Gwyneth Keyworth as DS Janie Mallowan delving into the mysterious demise of a best man, reports the Express.
However, despite attracting viewers’ eyes, it was for all the wrong reasons. Disgruntled fans didn’t hesitate to blast the show on social media, with one irate viewer proclaiming: “What on earth is this s***?” (sic)
“#DeathValley No wonder everyone is talking about it… It’s utter drivel and woke toboot. Refund the BBC if this is the best they can s**t out.” (sic)
Another disgruntled fan expressed their dismay: “Heard it was bad, but jeezo it’s horrendously bad. The lead lady is soooo irritating and the script is chronically unfunny. A new low for BBC Sunday night viewing, absolutely horrendous.”
Death Valley was swamped with complaints(Image: BBC)
Frustration peaked for some, prompting them to turn off their TVs, as one viewer confessed: “Caught up with #DeathValley on BBC1. I love stuff staring Timothy Spall but just had to turn off after a few minutes due to the awful co-star detective played by Gwyneth Keyworth shouting all the time. She must be one of the most annoying TV characters ever.”
Further amplifying the chorus of disapproval, another comment stated: “I’m on the third episode of “Death Valley” – I really gave it a try, but it really doesn’t get on me. I can’t stand the main characters, they are cringe… in general I really like those shows, but this I’ll skip and that Ludwig will return soon.”
One viewer was utterly unimpressed, venting on social media: “#DeathValley on BBC1 is one of the worst programmes I’ve ever sat through!”.

Nonetheless, despite some viewers knocking the series, others have expressed their enjoyment, with a fan sharing: “I know a lot of people seem to enjoy slagging off #DeathValley, and I admit that when I saw the initial trailer, I thought it looked poor.
“However, having binged the series the other day, I can quash my original reticence & say that I loved it. Daft, funny, cosy & Welsh.”
Another viewer chimed in with support: “Enjoying #DeathValley too. It’s Sunday night viewing and I remember ‘By the Sword Divided’ and ‘The Pallisers’ so this is quite fun.”
Despite the mixed reviews, Death Valley drew in nearly three million viewers on its debut(Image: BBC)
In spite of receiving a volley of criticism, Death Valley has shown impressive resilience in viewing figures, as disclosed by the BBC. The show’s inaugural episode, which premiered on 25 May, captivated a substantial audience of 2.9 million on BBC One.
This debut not only becomes the most viewed launch for a new BBC Scripted Comedy in the past five years but also eclipses Ludwig’s premiere last September, which attracted an audience of 2.8 million.
Channel 4 hit show Celebrity Celebrity left fans unimpressed just minutes into the first episode as new famous duos took to the sofa to share their views on the latest telly
Viewers were left feeling unimpressed just moments into the new season of Gogglebox, criticising the show’s format change.
The Channel 4 favourite, known for featuring regular mates and households commenting on the week’s prime telly offerings and movies, took a different turn on Friday (June 6) night with the reappearance of a star-studded version.
Celebrity Gogglebox made its comeback with fresh high-profile names settling in to view a selection of well-liked shows, including telly legends Paddy McGuinness, Vernon Kay and broadcasting duo Clare Balding with Alice Arnold joining the series.
Fan-favourites like television host Rylan Clark alongside his mum Linda and broadcast journalist Nick Grimshaw with his niece Liv came back for more sofa critiques.
TV personality Vicky Pattison and The Only Way Is Essex star Pete Wicks joined the cast for the new series
Highlights for the celebs included programmes like Race Across the World, Faking It, Celebrity Bridge of Lies, Silence Is Golden, Big Zuu and AJ Tracey’s Rich Flavours, Canal Boat Diaries, and ITV News – Trump and Musk.
Nonetheless, viewers at home didn’t reserve their comments on the celebrity take of the show, stating that this edition seemed a bit too ‘forced’.
Disgruntled opinions quickly poured in via X, previously known as Twitter, with one individual posting: “Not the dreaded celebrities again, so many of them are so annoying #Celebritygogglebox.”
Paddy McGuinness and Vernon Kay were among the long list of stars to appear on Celebrity Gogglebox
One viewer ranted: “We watch normal #Gogglebox because it’s hilarious and we love all the families. #celebritygogglebox is not funny and we couldn’t care less about the celebs. It’s just people watching telly.”
Another added their two pence, saying: “Celebrity Gogglebox just isn’t funny like the original, it feels forced! #gogglebox #Celebritygogglebox.”
Yet, not everyone was against the concept as a fan expressed enthusiasm: “#Celebritygogglebox #Gogglebox 1st minute and we see Alex Scott and Jess Glynn. I’m already into this series, I hope we get to see the Eubanks too, TV gold are Chris and Junior.”
Rylan recently opened up about his mums TV future
Meanwhile, Rylan has recently spilled the beans on his mum’s TV future amid calls from fans for the mother-son pair to star in their own show.
Chatting with the Daily Star, he revealed: “We’ve been offered hundreds of things. We got asked to do a travel show and the chance to go here and go there.”
He continued, explaining his mum’s situation: “It would be hilarious, but she’s just not well enough to do it. Gogglebox is enough for us. She feels comfortable doing that show because we’re just sat in my kitchen.”
Celebrity Gogglebox is available to watch and stream on Channel 4
