One of the first things Sarah Paulson’s character does in the new trailer for “All’s Fair” is call Kim Kardashian’s character a vulgar slang term for female genitalia. One of the last things she does is call her a “whore lawyer.”

Hulu released the latest look at its upcoming legal drama Tuesday and it appears that, much like contentious divorces, the show will get vicious and personal.

Created by Ryan Murphy, “All’s Fair” will follow a group of female divorce attorneys who leave a male-dominated law firm to start their own practice. According to the synopsis, these “fierce, brilliant, and emotionally complicated” women will “navigate high-stakes breakups, scandalous secrets, and shifting allegiances.”

The trailer shows several women — including those portrayed by Brooke Shields, Elizabeth Berkley and Judith Light — seeking the services of “the best divorce lawyers in town.” Most of the men in the clip, meanwhile, seem to represent the most unsavory examples of their gender.

In addition to Paulson and Kardashian, the show’s all-star cast also includes Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor, Matthew Noszka and Glenn Close.

“All’s Fair” will mark Kardashian’s second scripted television project since her role in “American Horror Story: Delicate.” While the reality TV star and businesswoman will be playing a fictional attorney in the show, she has also studied to be one in real life. Earlier this year, Kardashian celebrated completing her legal studies with a single-student graduation party.

Instead of attending a traditional law school, Kardashian apprenticed with attorneys for six years under California’s Law Office Study Program. She passed the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam, commonly known as the “baby bar,” in 2021. That doesn’t mean you can retain Kardashian as an attorney, however. She has yet to pass the state bar.

Kardashian’s most recent real-life legal tangos includes filing a lawsuit with her mother, Kris Jenner, against ex-boyfriend Ray J for defamation and false-light publicity.

“All’s Fair” will premiere Nov. 4.

The assassination of right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk is seen as a significant event amidst rising political violence in the U. S. Experts believe this may lead to further unrest in a country already divided. Mike Jensen, a researcher, noted that in the first half of the year, there were about 150 politically motivated attacks, nearly double from the previous year. He warned that the situation could escalate into wider civil unrest if not controlled, viewing the assassination as a potential trigger for more violence.

Experts attribute the rise in violence to several factors, including economic insecurity, racial and ethnic tensions, and aggressive political rhetoric. The divide in politics has grown from policy disagreements to personal animosity, driven by social media and conspiracy theories. A report by Reuters indicated that there had been over 300 cases of political violence in the U. S. since the January 6, 2021 Capitol attack, reflecting the highest level of such violence in decades. Jon Lewis from George Washington University commented that extreme political violence is becoming more common, regardless of clear motives.

Lilliana Mason, a political science professor, emphasized the tendency for people to retaliate rather than initiate violence. Kirk, a prominent figure in the conservative movement and ally of former President Trump, was shot while speaking at an event, resulting in a panic among the crowd of 3,000. As of Thursday, authorities had not arrested a suspect, and the FBI was investigating. Following Kirk’s death, there has been a call for increased security from many lawmakers.

“Vicious Spiral”

Trump was involved in two assassination attempts last year. In one attempt, the shooter was killed by authorities, and in the other, a man with a rifle was arrested near a golf club where Trump was playing. His trial has started this week. This year, two significant attacks by right-wing conspiracy theorists also occurred. In June, a Christian nationalist killed a Minnesota lawmaker and her husband. In August, a gunman targeting the CDC in Atlanta killed a police officer.

There have been at least 21 deaths from political violence since January, including 14 from an attack in New Orleans by a jihadist linked to the Islamic State. In May, a pro-Palestinian activist killed two Israeli embassy employees, stating it was for Gaza. Additionally, in July, a group of militants attacked an immigration detention center in Texas, injuring a police officer.

Since taking office, Trump has reduced efforts to combat domestic extremism, focusing on immigration instead. A researcher from the University of Maryland warns that the political climate is dangerous, with increasing violence from those who oppose recent government changes.

A MARRIED couple who were tragically mauled by four viscous dogs at a barbecue have been left traumatised and the husband “permanently disfigured.”

The male was viciously attacked, losing his lower ear, while his wife suffered scratches and was left “distraught”.

On Thursday, the dog owners appeared at Newcastle Crown Court to be sentenced for the event which took place on December 27, 2021, ChronicleLive reports.

The court heard that when the attack occurred, friends Daniel Hutchinson, 33, and Michelle King, 44, were at a barbecue in North Tyneside.

Dog-breeder Hutchinson was hosting the event at his then-address on Blackhill Avenue in Wallsend.

His two American Bull Mastiffs called Flake and Major were there, along with King’s two dogs of the same breed, Ghost and Bonny.

King had purchased the dogs from Hutchinson.

During the barbecue, the four hounds ran off and attacked an unsuspecting couple.

Prosecutor, Rachel Kelly told the court that the four dogs were playing unsupervised when the four dogs ran off and mauled the victims at around 8.30pm.

She said: “Both were taken to the ground. [The man] was bitten a number of times, causing the loss of his lower ear.

“He sustained puncture wounds and injuries to his hands and fingers. [The woman] sustained scratches.”

Hutchinson – who said he’d been away buying cannabis at the time – and King, then ran to the dogs and rounded them up before returning to the house, where an ambulance was then called.

The dog owners appeared in court via video links on Thursday to be sentenced for offences of being an owner/person in charge of a dangerously out of control dog.

Both defendants pleaded guilty.

The court heard that the man had been left “permanently disfigured” after the viscous attack.

In a victim statement the woman said she felt “distraught that this could happen.”

While Hutchinson, from Fife, Scotland, had 24 previous convictions for 44 offences, including criminal damage.

He was sentenced to 18 months in prison, but due to time spent on remand, he will likely be released immediately.

Recorder Nathan Moxon said that attack was an “isolated, one-off incident” and did not ban either of the defendants from keeping animals.

King, from Thornton, Scotland, had a previous conviction for wasting police time, bur was of good character, the court heard.

The court was told that she was remorseful, saying the attack was a tragic accident.

Mark Harrison, defending, asked for King’s prison sentence to be suspended, explaining that professionals had previously been around her dogs and “felt safe.”

The court also heard that King has a history of poor mental health and is at a “low risk of repetition.”

She was sentenced to 10 months in prison, suspended for 18 months.

Mr Moxon added that the incident must have been “a truly terrifying experience” for the victims.

No destruction orders were made and the two no longer own the Bull Mastiffs.

LOVE Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has fallen out with her best pal – with the star being branded a “narcissist”.

Ekin-Su, who shot to fame on Love Island in 2022 and again on the All Stars series earlier this year, had previously been championed by close friend Mabel Asojo during her time on the reality show.

But now the pair have unfollowed each other on social media and sources say that they are no longer friends after a falling out.

Mabel recently shared a post to address her fallout with Ekin-Su.

It read: “To everyone flooding my inbox with updates and questions, save it.

“We are not friends – I don’t need to write an unsold self help book on loyalty for someone who can’t even grasp how to be a decent human.

“I don’t deal with liars, cheaters, bullies, or narcissists. So please stop involving me.

“Consider this your final update. I hope she discovers peace.

“It just won’t be through me.”

She then followed this up with a screengrab of one of Ekin-Su’s pals defending the star, while taking a swipe at Mabel.

They claimed: “Imagine smiling to someone’s face, claiming you were best friends, then selling stories behind their back – and trying to turn me against her too.

“That’s next level snake behaviour. She’s real, loyal and solid and she doesn’t deserve the lies.

“Some people will do anything for attention.

“Glad we know who the rat was all along in the friendship circle.”

Taking a swipe at former friend Ekin, Mabel captioned it: “Wish you both the best.”

While a source said: “Ekin-Su’s friendship circle is at war. They’ve fallen out in a major clash and there is a big division between the group.

“The fallout worsened after Ekin-Su’s stint on All Stars, one of her long term friends has cut ties with her.

“One of her pals is not happy with her behaviour and has called her out for it.

“They’ve tried to be a good friend to her but think fame has gone to her head and she’s changed for the worse.

“Right now they’ve washed their hands of her and think she’s been a narcissist and disloyal in a bid to further her career.”

But another insider said Ekin-Su is not fully to blame.

They shared: “Ekin-Su has been under a lot of stress, those closest to her have unfairly turned their back on her.

“Ekin has always been a good friend and they should have had her back.”

The Sun have reached out to Ekin-Su’s rep for comment.

Back in 2022, Mabel – who met Turkish actress Ekin-Su at a hot tub party – helped her friend to become the first of this year’s Islanders to hit a million followers.

Mabel had supported her former friend during her stint on the show and looked after her social media account.

But it wasn’t all plain sailing and she’s admitted that the trolling has been very bad at times.

Mabel told The Sun at the time: “It was so hard.

“I spent a lot of time in my bedroom upset thinking she’s so sweet and down to earth and such a girls’ girl.”

They often appeared on each other’s Instagram but they have since deleted any trace of each other.

Meanwhile, Ekin seems happier than ever after finding love with Curtis Pritchard on the Love Island spin-off series.
