It was priced at £329.99, but is currently reduced to just £199.98 – that’s a discount of almost 40%.

The Vexilar packs two pieces of impressive tech for a price that’s now firmly in budget territory.
Firstly, it’s unusual to get a robot vacuum for less than £200 that comes with a self-emptying bin – that’s usually the domain of premium devices.

The Vexilar’s base station contains a 2L dust bag, which is advertised to last for 60 days before you need to empty it.
That’s a massive plus for busy households.
Secondly, there’s the laser-mapping, which is something you’ll not often see with cheaper devices.
Basically, its Advanced LDS Laser Navigation will precisely map your home in 360 degrees, allowing it to plan the most efficient cleaning route.
It even lets you set virtual ‘no-go’ zones and customise suction or water levels for specific rooms via the app.
When it comes to power, the vacuum boasts a 6000Pa suction, and the manufacturer says it’s effective at tackling pet hair and debris on everything from hardwood floors to low-pile carpets.
The device also has a long 180-minute runtime on a single charge in quiet mode, before returning to its base station to re-charge.
You can control it via the companion app, or connect it to your smart home using Alexa, Google Home, or Siri – that’s seriously hands-off cleaning.

On first glance, the Lakeland vacuum is small and sleek. It’s also super easy to use, with a single setting — you press the button to fire it into action, and then you simply move it across any surface to suck up the crumbs.
Technically, that’s something you could do with a normal cordless vacuum cleaner, but, being honest, that feels like too much effort.
Plus, this feels more hygienic, as you can restrict its use to just surfaces and not floors.

How much is it? It costs just £9.99, making it an absolute bargain.
Who’s it best for? It’s great for families who eat most of their meals at home, and people who have to clean up after kids (or messy adults, for that matter).

What we didn’t: It’s only really useful for dry, crumbly foods like toast crumbs — you wouldn’t want to use it on anything wet or slimy.

Performance
I would usually grab a cloth or a piece of kitchen towel to wipe down the dining table after a meal, but keeping the vacuum nearby presents a much more convenient alternative.
It’s got bristles underneath, which help guide crumbs to underneath the vacuum.
I found the best method was to use it to sweep the crumbs into a corner (while switched off) before turning it on, and then sucking them up.

Another handy use for the Mini Countertop Vacuum is in the kitchen, when you’re preparing food and creating a mess — I found it particularly useful to have on hand when making toast.
The suction isn’t going to rival a normal vacuum, but it’s easily powerful enough for crumbs, so it definitely does what it claims to — and at £9.99, you’ve got to class that as a win.
I’d recommend it for those quick clean-ups in between proper household cleans.

I might live in an adult-only household, but as a fiend for messy help-yourself meals, I’ve found myself reaching for the countertop vacuum often.
If you work in an office, the device would be useful to keep in a drawer for when you need to do a swift cleanup of your workspace.
It’s not too noisy (although you’re only likely to use it for a few seconds anyway), and it’s also cordless, charging up via a USB cable.
The small and lightweight design means you could even take it away with you if you’re staying somewhere self-catered.

The Uninell Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is now £109, and it has lots of handy features that make it versatile for cleaning all different surfaces.
Firstly, it’s cordless, which makes it easier to clean awkward areas, like the stairs or corners that aren’t within reach of a plug socket.

Branded the ‘PencilVac’, Dyson‘s new cleaning tool promises to be the “world’s slimmest vacuum”.
And it can even lay almost totally flat to the floor with an operating height of just under 10cm.
The vacuum cleaner ditches the giant bin normally featured on Dyson products for a new system that compacts the dust into the PencilVac’s slender body.
“I have long wanted to make a vacuum of only 38mm diameter,” said Sir James Dyson, the company boss.
He explained that the thickness is important – it’s the same as the Dyson’s Supersonic hair dryer handle.
Dyson continued: “But first we needed to develop our most powerful Hyperdymium motor at only 28mm diameter to achieve such a slender machine.”
HAIR WE GO!
It also uses a bizarre new Fluffycones system that uses four cones split across two brush bars.
This system works to eject long hair as you clean, so you don’t have to pull or cut it out.
“If long hairs get wrapped around the cone, the spinning motion along with the specific angle of the cone causes the hair to tighten,” said Dyson’s Sam Cole, Floorcare Design Manager, speaking to The Sun.
“Which results in the hair travelling down to the smaller end of the cone, before it is released as a small hairball.”

There’s also a new two-stage dust separation system, which Dyson engineers say will capture 99.99% of particles (down to 0.3 microns).
That means cleaner air is pumped back into your home – and should mean suction stays strong.
The dust inside is compressed in real-time to get as much usage possible out of the small bin, and should mean you have to empty it less often.
According to gadget-maker Dyson, the bin holds five times more dust and debris than its 0.08-litre capacity.

This works using a syringe “bin ejection” system that “plunges” the dirt deep into the bin – while also wiping the shroud clean at the same time.
MOTOR RUNNING
It’s all powered by a new motor that’s Dyson’s smallest to date – as well as its fastest, spinning at 140,000rpm.
This, Dyson says, makes it 35% more “power dense” than its predecessor, despite the shrunken size.
“Engineering our smallest and fastest vacuum motor is no simple feat. It was more than miniaturising every piece of technology,” said Dyson tech chief John Churchill.
